The app I used for checking is called Project Treble Info and can be found in the Play Store. (in case you can't find it, here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.appground.treble)
Edit: I just now also checked it using Termux and it said "true" after typing the command.
Wow, thanks, I hope that's the case!
I'm not sure what method you used, but using Termux as described in the XDA Developers article entitled "How to Check if Your Android 8.0 Oreo Device Supports Project Treble" looks reliable.
Did you use Termux or some other method? If another method, would you mind providing the details?
The zenfone model naming is awful. The pro is not better than the base model, and different versions vary greatly.
Edit: forgot the most important thing: the 3 is OIS, while the 4 max camera is pretty meh.
For example the 3 has 4gb ram vs 3gb on the 4 max. The 3 has 64 GB of storage va 32 GB. The screen is only 5.2 inches, but its 1080x1920 vs 720x1280 for the 4 max.
The list goes on. Here is a good comparison...
Crap!! I just realized you want the deluxe 3. That only improves in every way on the 3.
Happens to my zenfone4selfie. Stopped trying to fix it. I use Aurora store to update my apps. They source apks from Apkmirror
Accidents happen, sad to see that "Gorilla Glass Victus" isn't really anything special. I hope this works out for you! Advice to everyone buying this phone:
No problem. I was looking around for a good example of what I was thinking might work for you and the smaller pouch in this set is pretty close: https://www.amazon.com/AWP-Accessory-Fastener-Organization-Carabiner/dp/B08T6MCKMK but a custom bag also sounds like a fun project. Best of luck
For the routines thing, there are several options. One is called IFTTT which needs an account but is very user friendly. At very other end of the scale is Tasker which can do almost anything you can think of, but has a very steep learning curve.
Dis claimer that I have had Samsungs for the last two phones so I have also relied on Bixby Routines, so it has been years since I used either of these apps.
Hi guys. I've just bought Zenfone 8 screen protector to try it, and it works well for my ZF9,
no black borders, no cut offs. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B093P7X9W3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I pre-ordered from Mobile Advance thinking they were a direct reseller for Asus, but I'm gathering that is not the case. I can't find which version this page is for. Does anyone know if this is the "C" version?

This is the official link, but it seems to be marked up. 120 dollars more for the lowest end version wtf?
Plot thickens even more: https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B0B87C2XD3?psc=1
It's from the Amazon Mexico store. It says that it is sold by "Amazon US".
It's definitely NOT the C version, but still... tempting...

This is from the actual ASUS US Amazon store, and it appears that it is still only shipping the B version.
This just happened today, so I'll hold my breath for a couple of more weeks.
If this doesn't fly and no C version is on the horizon, I'll probably just bite the bullet and order the B version from eBay or something.
the one you shared is for the White one. For anyone lazy to dig sweet_tooth21 link
This is the white one.
Do we have any other ASINs for pre order ?

Thanks!
Technically speaking, yes there's no reason why it shouldn't (hardware), now on the software you will need a mixer app or something that can funnel the mic sound live to the speaker. That's the hard part to find without latency.
This app may work

I don't think there's a way, however there is Google Clock that has seconds. It's also slightly better integrated in Android and has more features.

I have the Rhino shield, indeed it's huge and extremely hard to take the phone out of. I just ended up buying this cheap ass thing
You can find plenty in my Amazon, I got one leather with a wallet.

I appreciate the info! Yeah, I've been waiting on the ASUS store to get it back in stock, even if it's the lower memory variety. Part of me wants to get the international versions listed on Amazon, but I'm not sure how well those would play on our side of the Earth.
/u/8ujfjaa I got my Zenfone 7 Pro on Amazon through a third party (that ships from USA to USA). Here's the Amazon listing. Two day delivery and required signature on delivery.
I can speak to the OIS on the Pro version's camera. It definitely helps in low-light trying to take a selfie. The handshake is going to be more pronounced because the Zenfone 7 Pro is a really heavy phone (noticeably so compared to the Zenfone 6) but the OIS allows you to take a steadier shot with a shorter shutter speed in Auto mode (therefore allowing brighter images with less noise in a low light room). To me, the OIS was worth the uplift in price. Without OIS, I would have just stayed on the Zenfone 6. I would also recommend this case to protect the swivel camera from getting scratched in your pocket/bag.
I also wanted to touch on the OIS on the Pro version. By the way, the Snapdragon 865+ is FAST. I turn 90hz refresh off to save battery. It's nice but I don't see myself needing it. It probably is a game changer if you're spending more than half your time on your phone scrolling through Instagram feed or Reddit posts though. I would also recommend this case to protect the swivel camera from getting scratched in your pocket/bag.
It has been on sale for 10 days, there are about 9 hours left on that sale as of now.
I ordered it =) maybe someone else find that price fair enough to order.
Also, there is a phone case cover that covers the camera with a slider, the case from RhinoShield. Also on Amazon. Between 25-30€. Got this one too :D
And it doesn't fit properly. Its just not wide enough, so the sides of the screen are not covered. I guess all of those screen protectors which advertise "explosion proof" and what not, are most likely the same as this one. The only screen protector from a reputable brand is from Rhinoshield (Impact Protection, the plastic one). I haven't tried this one since its really expensive (25€)
