Wear Battery Full, free on the Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zenbarrier.wearfull&hl=en
I have nothing to do with the app, just a happy user.
I shut the display off during the charging (I have no reason to look at it, and there is no reason to keep the charging display on) it then sends a notification to the phone when charged.
I think this is a great idea and it made me think of something I use for my motorcycle.
It's very similar and available for around 30 bucks. I have it attached to the handle bar. (or steering wheel) Works with no problem.
Here is the like for the US Amazon:

Samsung's Health app tracks a lot more than Fit currently does. For this reason I don't install Google Fit on my watch and I have Google Fit on my phone set to not track. I then use an app called Health Sync and have it sync all the metrics I want from Samsung Health to Google Fit every 6 hours just to have all that information there as well. I do like the Samsung Health app though, I think it's laid out better than Google Fit. Mostly for archival purposes I wanted to keep my information in Fit up to date though and the Health Sync app works nicely in this regard.
Health Sync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.appyhapps.healthsync
You could make yourself a Fitbit account and then sync Samsung Health with Fitbit via an app. I use Health Sync to sync my Samsung Health account to Google Fit but a bunch of other services are supported, too.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.appyhapps.healthsync
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=smartwatchstudios.app.gears3navigation
It's pretty damn solid. You need the app from Galaxy store on the watch and from Play Store on the phone. You can even get it to vibrate 2 times for left or 3 for right.
Edit: Just adding that actually autostart on the watch, when you start navigation on your phone.
Some reassurance. I had the Gear S3, and I did not use any battery health management. Just wore it every day and charged it every night, and it still lasted ~3.5 years before having any battery issues.
For general battery tips, taking it off the charger once it is done charging (the watch will tell you the charge time when you first put it on the charger, so you can set an alarm for it).
Other tip, I've seen is charging more frequently rather than letting it fully drain. With the GW3's battery life, that means you can just charge it once daily (for example while you shower) and it should always be in the 60-100% range.
Finally, you can try to keep it cool while charging. I actually have a small thermaltake mobile fan that I turn on whenever I am charging my electronics to keep them from overheating (doubt it makes that big of a difference though). (https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Adjustable-One-touch-Retractable-A1888/dp/B00080G0BK/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=thermaltake+fan&qid=1605764802&sr=8-7)
Yes, and the Samsung health app can't even begin to touch it. I've been using it for a few years now. Watch integration is great.
The one I'm looking at has a 4.5⭐ rating, over 10 million downloads and is editors choice so I'm going to say "no."
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid.sleep
Not OP, but it looks a lot like this band.
Here WeGo is the only "official" one I know of, however, Navigation Pro will give you the same functionality for use with Google Maps, which is much more reliable than Here WeGo. Worth the $3, though the watch companion isn't flawless. Just make sure you choose "End Navigation" from the watch when you're done or you might cause the app the get stuck on your watch and you'll have to restart it.
There's also a standalone Google Maps app on the Galaxy Store for $2 I think, but I personally prefer to have it sync with my phone rather than be standalone. The benefit to the standalone I think is that it shows the actual driving map on the watch screen rather than just text directions.

Had to take off a few links, and they include the tool to do it.. although I bent the end of it on my first attempt. Thankfully they pack in a couple of spares.

The official app for Home assistant is here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.homeassistant.companion.android
It currently supports scenes, scripts and lights.
Re: Home Assistant. I use Home Slide on my phone and was pleasantly surprised to find out it also has a watch app. It's a very handy app. Check it out.
I bought this one on Amazon and it's been great so far: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GCDHG2H/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am able to download in Germany
Check here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.sbrowser&hl=de It should say "available" for the "R890" (the watch). Hit install, choose your watch and go!
Proof: https://i.imgur.com/8rczcGT.png
To be fair on the phone, if you have the browser installed on the phone, it doesn't really tell you if it's for the watch, really dumb.
Yup! It's region locked, but ECG is enabled through installing the Samsung Health app, and Blood Pressure monitoring requires this app (my BP lab): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.sagebionetworks.research.bp&hl=en&gl=US
Native BP support from Samsung isn't enabled without some hacking that I don't feel like doing, but it works fine through this other app.
You can get these see through dome stickers that you stick over the sensors which make it work through tattoos. I got 100 for £6. Need to swap it out when you charge it otherwise the charger gets really hot.

If it's an Android phone try downloading the Samsung pay (gear plug-in) app from apkmirror.

I find this when looking up Google Assistant Go, I don't think this is for the watch. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.assistant&hl=en_US&gl=US

It's the Sectograph app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=prox.lab.calclock

Ah, did not see it. On another subject. Why don't you have the good lock module Quickstar? It seems like you're in the Netherlands guessing by the language. If it's not officially supported there I recommend downloading https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluehorizonapps.nicelock3
And download the apks from apkmirror.com
As a watch user I feel it's annoying to have the BT symbol showing, since off course it's on Just my personal taste
Nope, they changed chargers between the Galaxy Watch and the later watches.
If you take a look at a random charger on Amazon, you'll see that the GWA, GWA 2, and GW 3 all use the same charger, but the GW isn't compatible with it.
Sorry.
I have this one. I actually have 3 of them they are so good (me and the kids). Not one single complaint.
Mine lasts about a day and a half or so. Might want to not let it vibrate for every text or Google message (especially if you have a group of friends that send messages a lot). The strap is a bit big on me and could use a wider strap.
I picked one of the cheap-o TPU screen protectors in rose gold. I've whacked that watch at least a dozen times since getting it so that's a life-saving buy for me. Make sure you get the right size for yours, I screwed up the first time and got the smaller ones. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081HY1PPB
Don't get sucked into buying a bunch of watch faces. In the end, I find the best ones I keep coming back to are the free or most simple but informative ones, even if some of them look super cool.
Not to rub it in, but this made me glad I bought a used stainless steel model instead of a new aluminum. I do a lot of high speed off-road mountain biking, and an aluminum watch would look sandblasted after a ride.
Anyhow, If I was in your situation, I would get a ringke case with bezel to hide the chips and protect the watch from further damage. It gives the watch a new look and is customizable in the future. Now looking back at the damage, ringke makes a bezel that goes on top of the screen and the frame, and would cover the damage perfectly for under 20$, link below

V-Moro has a gapless band. just a little bit over $23.99 for black (and there is a 5% off right now). I've gotten V-Moro bands before, and they are quite nice.

I just scored this one, among some others. It's great- lightweight and comfortable, but it looks awesome on my wrist. My watch isn't waterproof so I haven't gotten it wet, but it's canvas/synthetic so it may work for you.

Otherwise I also purchased a nike knockoff on amazon as well. It's super comfortable but mine is black and yellow so not the most classy. These QR bands are fantastic though- I just bought two leather bands and two synthetic ones, and can swap on outfit or running/sleeping.
Link below to the Bezel and Strap I got off Amazon. Watch face I'm sure most know is the MD111. Absolutely loving the look and feel of my watch now and is definitely more eye catching. Would recommend 10/10.

they are metal rings that stick on top of the existing bezel so you dont have to actually remove anything from the watch and they can be taken off without doing any damage to the watch.
So you want Waze through the phone and not through the in car speakers? I'm guessing you've thought of un-pairing the phone from the car so you probably still want music through the car speakers. If that's the case you can download Samsung's sound assistant app and select which app you want to use the phones speakers and which you want to use the car's speakers. It's under advanced settings in the app.
Edit: here's the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.soundassistant
I got the 42mm a week ago.
I could probably get 1.5 to 2 days before recharge but I top the charge up every morning when I wake up, usually takes about 60mins to get back to full charge from 50%
My usage pattern:-
I'm happy with the watch!
I think you might get through the day, hard to say, guess it depends how thirsty your usage pattern is.
42mm is better looking IMHO, 46mm is too big.

So, because you're unable to install the Samsung app store, you assume that Samsung is blocking it from being installed on non-Samsung devices? That seems like an odd assumption. There might be some other problem with your situation but Samsung doesn't specifically block their app store from being installed on non-Samsung devices.

Have you tried manually installing the latest (or past) installation files for the Galaxy App store? https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/galaxy-apps/galaxy-apps-5-1-01-8-release/galaxy-apps-5-1-01-8-android-apk-download/
Just did a quick Google and it says it depends o what country you are in. You could try and change the region settings or use the APK below. Hope this helps 🙂 https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-pay-watch-plug-in/samsung-pay-for-g...
I bought a stand off Amazon a few years ago and it works with different bands.
Wow that worked! Thanks so much. I wish I could still use it on my phone too but this will do!
I downloaded 1.7.3006 (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-pay-watch-plug-in/samsung-pay-for-gear-1-7-3006-release/samsung-pay-for-gear-1-7-3006-android-apk-download/)
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-pay

It wasn't working on my Essential Phone either so I had to download the APK and I was able to get it up using that. I believe Samsung Pay can only be installed from the play store if you have a Samsung phone.
I use Stocard for Starbucks and other loyalty and tickets on my watch. Use it for AMC, Wawa, Starbucks, my Universal Studios pass. It's great and free
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.stocard.stocard
Different operating system to Google's so I doubt it will happen.
If you're UK based then you can get a card from Curve. It links to your bank's debit/credit card and allows you to use it on both Samsung and Google Pay.
I'm a NatWest customer and Samsung Pay doesn't work with their cards. So I got a card from here https://www.curve.app/en-gb/ and it's linked to my NatWest debit card. So now I can use Samsung Pay on my S10 and Galaxy Watch
I pulled the split apk
https://www.mediafire.com/file/mmm4bye5pankzhv/spotify_split.zip/file
Not sure if it will work, and it will most likely be a german language version, but good luck
https://raccoon.onyxbits.de/blog/install-split-apk-adb/
You can use Heart for Bluetooth to broadcast the HR data from your watch so that fitness apps and possibly your Garmin (Edge 530 works) can receive it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lukas.the.coder.heartforbluetooth
Personally I use Wahoo to track my rides because I have their speed/cadence sensors. When completed it uploads to Strava.
To get the most accurate and consistent HR measurement I also have to run Cardiogram on the watch during the workout. I haven't tested the new update though, which has updates for SHealth and HR monitoring...scared it will break my hack 😅
The notification always stays there no matter what setup you use on the watch. I like the AWF pixel minimal watch face. See here. I also set my GW4 on Power Saver mode and enjoy great battery life and receive all notifications and can reply to all. Love this GW4.
Google Play Link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.watchfacestudio.persmart
*ıf you see the message “your devices aren't compatible” on google play store with samsung galaxy watch 4, use play store on web browser from pc / laptop instead of phone app or try to open the link from play store app 2 times.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stronglifts.app
I find these great. I supplement them with other workouts/sports, but it's my go to in the gym. It really made my legs the primary strength I have - which really works for me, since I bike and backcountry ski and mountaineer.
The watchface I use on my GW4 allows you to set the refresh rate for the weather in hour intervals, with 1 hour being the fastest.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.thema.wear.watch.legion
Thema has a lot of watch faces if you don't like the one I use. I don't know if all of them have the weather refresh rate capability, but I would guess they do
At the end I had to buy one that I like it, because really, the selection they give is horrible...
I took this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benoitletondor.pixelminimalwatchface
In my opinion, the premium version is really pretty compared with other minimalistic watch faces🤷🏽♀️
To expand: If you're in a region that allows good lock, search the galaxy app store. https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.goodlock
If you aren't, use nice lock from the play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluehorizonapps.nicelock3
For anyone wondering, the watch face is the highly customizable "C-Void" by thema: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.thema.wear.watch.cvoid
I just published it on google play .. for testing purposes ofcousre .. you can download and install it from here
You can use the app Sleep as Android which will track sleep and it connects with Google Fit
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid.sleep
I've just done a screen recording to show you where to go on the Sleep as Android app. When you go through the steps to connect with Google Fit, it will ask for permissions which you'll have to agree to. They're just the standard permissions you would get for other apps connecting to your Google account.
You can also install the watch app for better tracking if you wear your watch to bed. You can also send data from the Sleep as Android app to SH.
I don't see how to do that in the fitbit app, but I only have the free version and I just use it as a way to get my excersize from Samsung Health into Weight Watchers that has very few sync partners. I get the data from Samsung to Fitbit with Health sync which can synch many different sources and destinations https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.appyhapps.healthsync
I am sure one of them will do what you want. As far as Samsung health sharing directly, you can share your step data one week at a time, but it is a graph without exact counts so probably not what your employer wants to see.
Dont know if a link for german amazon helps you but maybe you can find it by name on your shop of choice:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matejdro.wearmusiccenter
I would give this a try. I've been able to use it with several apps that play audio and it gives me full control on any of them.
These came in today but my GW4 Classic doesn't come in until tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how they fit.
Found another XD
This one called "Marine Commander" has a ton of options, including a custom color theming section, where you can make the colors as vividly red (or whatever other color) you want. Only downsides to it is that it's a bit old so some of its functions don't work anymore (like Google Fit integration), also it has so many options that it can take a while to figure out everything. It has a premium IAP, but all it does is gets rid of the tiny "Demo Mode" watermark that's hardly noticable.
Just found this third-party one called "Lucid Watch Face". Similar to Samsung's "Analog dashboard", but with a slightly different design. [Example image of it tweaked similar to your layout]. It's a bit more Red than Samsung's.
PS: You have to customize it from the watch itself.
This one, but at this time I don't think button remapping works on the GW4. I just tried it in two different apps, including Bubble Cloud, without luck.
Try out Marine Commander and Spectrograph. I think both of them are really good faces.
I was hoping for the stock Alt-Barometer app that Samsung apparently had on the old Galaxy watches, too. I have this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appfour.wearaltimeter&hl=en_US&gl=US
I got it free with some Google Rewards credit - think it was $1.49. It will graph elevation data from the barometer, if that's what you want - but it can also be used to infer good/bad weather by reading the graph inverted (up = low pressure/rain, down = high pressure/clear).
The XDA one mentioned below looks better, but I didn't want to side-load anything (yet).
Uag makes some good bands too.
I use this on my watch 3. It is thick and makes the watch blend more with the band. Tactical looking. Their other bands are good too.
We both use this. I use the Watch 3 and buds pro and she uses active 2 with the buds+. It charges all 3 (Z fold 2) at the same time. Owned the two since October.
Intoval Wireless Charger,Wireless Charging Station for Samsung Galaxy Phone/Watch/Buds,Fit for Note 20/Note 10/S21/S20,Watch 3/Galaxy 46/42mm /Active 2/Gear S3,Galaxy Buds+/Live(S3,Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0894TL5JG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_QYHBEWV7CM6F101P1EJ0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I like this one, it can fast charge the watch and one other item at the same time. I use it with my Active 2, s10e, and Galaxy Buds+. It's powered via a usb-c cable.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JQFKHL4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I bought it on Amazon India.
It is very cheap actually. It has been like 6 months or so and haven't faced any issues. Looks brand new even today. One of my friends also got a similar one (different brand) and it looks exactly same.
Basically all the listings are most likely the rebranded version of the same item. I hope it's the same thing in your region too
This doesn't do exactly what you want but does help move data between Samsung health and google fit so might be part of the solution: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.appyhapps.healthsync
I've gotten it to charge on my s20, on my work phone (pixel 5), and on any wireless charger that has smaller coils.
An example of the difference in coils is this product on Amazon. Look at the third picture, how the phone wireless charger has two coils and then the front wireless charger for buds has 1 coil.
The watch will charge if its placed exactly on 1 coil that's small enough.
It sucks because I feel like Qi should follow stricter standards :/

Try this app as well. It does it through the camera and flashlight and could be used as a comparing tool. Also, this app gathers data from dozens of other apps. So now, I've gathered all my steps from Fitbits 10 years ago and different other gadgets
Here is the link. The stock photo on the link is a yellow band. Just make sure you choose the color labeled orange
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N4YQQBR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_JPWX071T6HMCCHHVZ2V2?psc=1
I got one of these, and it definitely interferes with the touch bezel on the GWA2. I ditched it in favor of a simple screen protector. Don't know about the physical bezel on other watches though.
If you get a 9H hybrid case, it'll be much better. I used the all TPU and had touch issues but switched to the 9H and never had anymore issues
Something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HS6SG6M/
This is the case and Bezel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TP3QCGX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_JB1B5CREDQH1QH85ATYM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 and for the band I couldn't find the link, but I know it was a 2 pack with the other one being black
You need to search out one with Curved Endpieces. Some bands will have Detachable Curved Endpieces to suit your needs.
I like my nylon one. Easy to adjust, doesn't collect sweat and isn't metal (personally not a fan)
https://www.amazon.com/TRUMiRR-Stainless-Watchband-Vivoactive-Ticwatch/dp/B08TQR9X16/
There is also a version of it on amazon in red sandalwood.
My Notes in Gear has a Samsung watch app and allows you to view notes on your watch.
Found it:Red watch band
Just install app companion on your smartphone (Wearable widgets in the play store) and add buds widget. You can use 1 widget for free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wearablewidgets
I got this one, but there's a lot to choose from. I think i would pick one with a tapering end next time...otherwise this band is quite comfortable.

Thanks man! I actually created it from scratch with "Watchmaker" a killer app that lets you create and use custom watch faces. It's a few bucks for the pro version but totally worth it, there are literally hundreds of thousands of cool designs made with it that you can download and use.

awesome and those screen protectors are great I have the same ones perfect fit and feel so smooth
and here is a ling to the best quality bands I have found so smooth and better feeling then the one that comes with the watch AMAZON
I just bought an Amazon refurbished one for $211 US with a 90-day return window, but it is the US model. Same boat my man ... I love the midnight black but if I am getting the watch I am getting the bigger battery and bigger face. Not going to settle with the 42mm just because of the color. Looks like we got to go with the 46mm in silver.
