I felt the exact same way after a very similar experience buying all the major players after I bought the Moto Sport 360 earlier this year... I finally found a watch face I really like, but am still confused as to why it seems so hard to find decent ones - you might find my full writeup useful from a post a few weeks back here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/73a53g/show_us_your_watch_face_brother/dnpa91k/
TL;DR ustwo's free Looks Android Wear Watch Faces is great, (and free?!?) especially after a few non-obvious-to-me tweaks
I love the ustwo Looks faces. Quoti is my go-to lately:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Line is nice, as well (has digital & dig-alog mode): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seapip.thomas.line_watchface
For anyone interested, I'm pretty sure this is the 'Radius' watchface by Ustwo available on any device.
You can get it free as part of this pack here:
It looks like This when configured to match OP
TicWatch E Lemon, Nokia 7 plus, Time-lapse watchface from ustwo: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Used this great app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mutau.lefty
usTwo Looks has my favorites, I usually use "Quoti":
To install, find this on the watch's play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
When I'm not using that, I have a few Pujie Black faces I use.
It's from ustwo Looks pack: watch face called Places.
Also you can find similar watchface on suunto watch, but it will use your activity heatmap instead of stylized map and exclusive to suunto only
As another OG owner, completely agree (although I would do it for the GPS more than the NFC).
Also, off topic, but I was using the 'places' watch face (from ustwo's looks app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero) and the watch face isn't able to show my location's map. It shows a little crossed out location icon toward the bottom. Is this also happening with you? Because connected GPS has never been an issue for me before this.
I use "Looks" which does exactly what you need. It actually comes with two watch faces that meet your requirements. It is for the watch only (no phone download), but here is a link to it on the play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
There are apps to create your own watch faces, and some watch faces support custom backgrounds, in various different ways.
e.g. some of the faces in here support getting images from Google Photos: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
not sure but isn't Quoti similar enough ?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en_US
If 5 or 6 complications are enough, you can try watchface Atoms (with 5) or Portions (with 6) from the "Looks" pack from maker "ustwo Fampany".
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Are you thinking of the Places watch face from this watchface pack? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Alternate between Time-lapse and TTMMINUS.
I'm using Atoms from this free pack - Google Play link
It's digital, has date and up to 6 complications. Just there isn't default complication for phone battery.
On the other hand, my dream is to create my own watchface with some half-rings around the watchface for battery levels, steps.
Its "Sleek" from the "Looks Watch Faces"

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
I had the same problem, try searching it on the Play Store from the watch or download it from your desktop directly to the watch.
It's the ambient display version of "Stellar", found in this package:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en
It comes pre-loaded on several watches, including my LG Watch Style (what he used in his article).
Yes it worked finally! You were right! Trick is to after downloading on phone from phone's play store, go the watch play store and right at the bottom you will find it waiting to be downloaded on the watch! And if you want to remove it the only way I could figure out is uninstalling it from the settings -> apps option in watch as only uninstalling from phone doesn't remove them! Any idea how we could get the looks watch face by ustwo working?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
There's a watchface called portions that accomplishes a similar purpose if you use the right config/complication, but it's just for next calendar appointment. Here's an old picture of how it looks on my GW4, and a link to the watchface pack if you're interested
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Originally from this pack, I used this face ALL the time on my old Android Wear watch and there's nothing I can fins that has the customisation and pure amount of information availability.
I would argue that Portions from Looks Watchfaces is better:
That's not a stock watchface. That's this collection from UsTwo (creators of Monument Valley):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
It's one of my faves, and it still works fine on my watch.
Facer sucks, it has good watch faces, but causes too much lag and battery drain, I use Looks watch faces, I use the Quoti and Stellar, I get around 1.5 days to two (exception of essential mode) on the TicWatch Pro 2020, with a Custom ROM installed. Once I tracked a 2 hour outdoor walk, and got about a day. So, I see now problem with this watch face. There are multiple and it's completely FREE, you don't need to pay a dime. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero <== link. You can also try Moods watch faces, but I personally haven't tried it yet.
The 'portions' face from the Looks package. It's my favorite face when I need multiple complications.
I managed to find something I like and it's of course free. So, I was browsing on my watch in Play Store and went it in to 'Watch faces we love', I came across this - Looks Watch Faces for Wear OS by Google. You can also check out their timer watch.
I though I might share it with you guys to enjoy it as well. Have a great weekend
Looks super similar to one of the custom options in Radius by ustwo.
I've got my numbers in color, but you can go straight white if you want.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en_US
Try "Places" from here (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero) and "Pop Watch face" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ikubyx.com.popwatchface). Easily my favorites.
Totally. I found the same but did find two installs that seemed to not totally make my HW2 suck. One was the Marine Commander which surprised me with all it's complications, and the other was the Looks.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en
Check the play store on the watch. Any watch face the supports external complications will work. These are my favorites:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en_US
I'm glad you asked. The watch face is called "Portions" and us available in the "Looks Android Wear Watch Faces" collection (you have to install them on your watch): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
The background is customizable and I am using the "TerraTime Pro" globe: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.daylightclock.android.license
Then you'll be glad to know that you can switch them out for ustwo's Looks and Moods faces (and so many others!) from the Play Store. These are just the best IMO: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.moods
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Ustwo has several great selections of free watch faces. Some such as Portions let you set a complication as a background. My app NavExplorer lets you transfer images from your phone or computer and select them as a complication image.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.turndapage.navexplorer
it's in the Looks Android Wear Watch Faces collection: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
There's a recreation of the Portions face that comes on the LG Watch Sport in the Looks Android Wear Watch Face pack. I've found it to be easily the most useful and pretty of the faces I've tried.
Good choice of colours and full customisation of data displayed as well as several layouts, tapping most of the panels opens the associated app, it's very good. Also will let you set element art as the background.
Interesting you have always on and still get almost 60% after 11 hours. How much effect does the watch face have do you think? I'm using one of these: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
It's the LOOKS watchface that's usually bundled with the LG Sports. I'm currently switching between this one and my long-term favourite Krona Sunlight.
It depends on the watchface. For example on Looks watchfaces, Portions will display actual name while others will just display the time.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Any of the 8 slots on portions can customized with an app shortcut or complication, here is what mine watch face looks like now:
I have also realized that all the cool new watch faces are part of 'Looks Android Wear Watch Faces' (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero) It seems to be impossible for now to find a source for the apk somewhere in the web. Could you try to pull it out of your system and upload it somewhere?
Might be this one (tried finding it on play store on my watch this time lol)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Says exclusively for the new LG watches, but maybe someone can find the apk
Quoti, which is part of Looks
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
It is called Radius it's from Looks Watch Faces, heres the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
It's called "Places" from "Looks" pack:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
I like the animations from Looks by Ustwo. Subtle, fast and beautiful. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Looks Watch Faces
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
It's from Looks by ustwo, Radius.
portions by ustwo: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
It depends on your style/taste.
My absolute favorite is Ustwo Looks' Portions face, which uses 2.0 Complications.
For something more analog, I like Stellar from the previous one, but also Classic, especially since I can use it as a quick launcher. I use its built-in info instead of third-party complications, but it supports both.
If you want info with more of a weather focus, I like LED with Weather.
Not sure but here's the link to the faces... This showed up shortly after i logged in on my watch sport... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Link to the watchface - Portions, found in Looks by ustwo Studios

"Places" watch Face from: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en_US
I am using Portions from Looks watch face https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero It is free! Here is how I customized it, https://i.redd.it/7w4mwa2v02e21.png
it's the Places watchface in this pack https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
I'm fond of ustwo's Quoti: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
I REALLY Enjoy the "Portions" watch face.
Looks like "Places" face from Looks
With Android Wear 2.0, all of the things you want are available by default as "Complications". Any watch face that has enough slots, can display all of these. I would suggest checking out Looks & Pear. The latter has a face that is almost exactly what your linked to in your post (https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/9DQSv3UcqCL1ucz1ANQ6w4Cn-imEFeY02KdFmTsdeus4v0gxWxA7Q70d-49gi2EpY3o=h310).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seapip.thomas.pear_watchface
p.s. I have the LG Sport, but it is huge. You might want to check out the Huawei Watch 2. My wife uses it for running...still larger, but not as ridiculous.
p.p.s If you haven't seen it, check out my watch spec spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lbKhNnFBARrT5TVo3bkyp1UzT0S5Iahy3W9dAQf_sfc/edit#gid=0
I really like this one. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en
I have the non-classic version (which is basically the same watch, the 'classic' is only very minor adjustments to the styling) and I literally have no serious complaints. The biggest criticism people make is that they don't like the thick 'sporty' look on the bezel, but personally I've always liked watches that look like that, so it's right up my street.
Things I love:
Packs every sensor (GPS/LTE/NFC) into the body of the watch, so you have removable watch bands - something that nobody else has accomplished so far. It also has automatic brightness without a flat tyre, which again I don't think anyone else has managed so far? (Maybe LG? I'm not actually sure, as they stopped releasing watches in Europe...)
Battery life is the best on the market. It's good enough that I don't even have to THINK about it. My record so far is 6am to 2am the next day (while travelling) with the screen always on, tilt to wake enabled and automatic brightness on - when I got home it still had 22% left - so yeah, you literally can't kill this watch even if you try.
Remappable hardware button on the bottom can pull double duty - single press is an app of your choice, double press is Android Pay. My main concern when choosing this watch is that I'd have to pick between a shortcut to starting a workout or Android Pay, but it turns out you don't have to!
It's really fast. Zips around the interface like nobody's business.
It's comfortable and light. Yes it's bulky, but on your wrist it doesn't look or feel bulky. The default strap is also surprisingly comfortable. I was planning on buying a metal strap day 1 but I've not felt the need to so far - it's the only silicone/rubber watchband I've ever actually liked.
Some minor complaints:
Charges with pogo pins instead of wirelessly. This is an apples to oranges comparison because both technologies have advantages (pogo pins can wear out after a few years and require slightly more effort to connect, but they also charge the watch faster than wireless charging..) it's really not a huge deal at all, but if I could change one thing about the watch it would be this.
Talking of the charger, it doesn't sit flat on your desk because of the angle the watch has to sit on it, which is again not a huge deal but it's just WEIRD. However, the charger has a strong magnet and bits of plastic to guide the watch into place so it's much easier to connect the watch to it properly than many other watches. I came from the original G-Watch and that sometimes took four or five attempts to sit down on the charger before it would actually start charging.
The default watchfaces are (imo) absolutely garbage. Luckily this is Android Wear so there are literally millions of options on the playstore, or you can just make your own with Facer or Pujie or... whatever else. Personally I've downloaded this pack which has several that I can swap between depending on my mood, all of which support 2.0 Complications.
It ships out the box with THREE different run tracking apps. I get that they were fitness focused but does it really need Google Fit AND Huawei Fitness AND Runtastic? Again, this is fixed by virtue of it being Android. You just disable the ones you don't need or want.
Happy to answer any questions you might have!
The watch faces are technically out but they seem to only be compatible with the LG watches.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Link to the LG Style/Sport default watchfaces
I love the Portions watchface specifically for this. It's on the Looks Watch Faces apps.
Hah - I'm in the same boat except coming from a Moto Sport, to my current Tizen Samsung Gear Sport, now back to WearOS with the misfit deal - looking forward to the better WearOS watch faces (especially ones that show upcoming calendar appointments)
Here are three I'm planning on starting out with:
I haven't found anything that beats portions... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
It's the 'Atoms' watchface from the Looks app.
Is this Looks you were talking about?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Completely linked the wrong thing in my original comment :P https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
TL;DR ustwo's free Looks Android Wear Watch Faces
I've purchased many watch faces (Minimal & Elegant, Pujie Black, Ultimate Watch 2, Ksana Sweep, Axel, Classic) in search of something I, until recently, couldn't find even after 5mo of weekly or more frequent watch face changes with my Moto 360 Sport...
Almost all of them carried what felt like a heavy AW1 legacy and extreme feature creep. Some had a few nice features along side many other complicated and unnecessary features... I could never configure them just right.
I thought I wanted a nice-looking analog display, or at least hands, since it would always be visible on my Sport's transflective display. It turns out I just wanted to use the power of my display-anything watch to show what was needed in a visually appealing way. I also thought a complex, phone companion app would be useful, but I love that the ustwo faces can all be completely configured on the watch, and in true AW2 style, have no phone companion app...
I went with the "Portions" style, watch face. I found google's built in weather provider to be the best option for weather (I've purchased Weather Timeline which is the best I've found on my phone, and comes with an AW app and complication, but the complication does nothing when clicked, which I don't get, since the AW app shows exactly what you'd want to see when clicking the complication). I set the background image to the built in provider General => Element Art, which auto-changes the background image periodically (another option under General was Album Art). I love the details of my next appointment, and I also love that all of the information is visible at a glance, even on the transflective display.
Here's a photo of my setup: https://i.imgur.com/k9zOhVU.jpg
My personal favorite is Portions from this watchface collection.
Sleek, which is part of usTwo Looks Android Wear Watch Faces.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en
It's the places watch face from the ustwo looks faces pack. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
This app includes a nice set of watchfaces including one that allows a custom image as a background. It's free with no ads. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
That's Portions! You can find it in this package https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero I'm rocking it right now on my E3
Looks awesome! You can get the 'Places' watch face straight from the Play Store in the 'Looks' collection. Link
It's by ustwo studios
I think so... I don't remember paying for it but now it's in my library.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
I haven't received mine yet, so no.
You'll probably see increased battery use though. Facer in my previous usage was especially battery heavy.
I mostly just use Ustwo's Portions (from their 'Looks' bundle), Marine Commander, Ranger, or Odyssey which are all standalone apps (with Marine Commander by far being my favorite).
But I suspect a lot of the Galaxy Store developers will be porting their stuff over too, and we're already seeing some of that. Samsung seemingly has made it really easy.
Sure, here it is:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
For reference, these are all the Watchfaces we currently have on the wiki:
Looks and Moods are some of the coolest faces from Ustwo, you may have seen them in ads
Line and Pear watchfaces are cool, minimalist watchfaces with an Appley vibe
A/D Watchface is a beautiful and customizable digital analog combo that I rock almost every day
Sectograph is a productivity focused watchface, showing you your events over an analog clock allowing you to visualise your day.
The aim is to create a page in the wiki dedicated to just watchfaces rather than it be a little piece of the Tips and Tricks page. I'll be honest, I'm not even sure why I put it there in the first place.
Here the facewatch
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Is it perhaps "Portions" from UsTwo?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
I know OP said this was stock Moto, but I believe it's actually "Portions", from "Looks Watch Faces"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
I can help you with point 2:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
In this application is the face of the clock you are looking for and is called "Places".
It's called looks for android wear. Great watchface and really light. But I couldn't stand wear os for a lot of reasons.
I recognize this one, I searched for it in my library and I think it's bundled with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Hope that helps!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
not working with Android 10 I guess? Can't install it, tells me it's not compatible.
Try this for the Sleek watch face. Looks to have it. I too use this watch face on my LG Watch Style.
It's the 'Atoms' watchface from the Looks app.

Just a Calendar watch face is cool for a busy day https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.philippkoelmel.justacalendarwatchface
Moods has some good watch faces, I'm using "Chill" right now with a custom background picture https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.moods
and I gotta mention Google Maps, navigation with the always on screen and the vibrate when you're nearing the next direction is convenient
Looks Android Wear Watch Faces I got and set up very cool one from this app, I use it all the time
It's part of the Looks collection.
Not OP, but here:

Link? Not showing up in store.
Possibly this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Not compatible? Strange.
Quoti, part of "Looks"?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Its from the Looks Android Wear watch faces pack.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
There are a few layouts for the Looks set of faces that have what you're looking for
I find myself going back to Stellar from the Looks collection.
It's Quoti by Ustwo
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Comes up no problem and installed on my hwatch running 2.0
Sorry for the wrong link and late respond, went back and found it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&rdid=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Nope, it's called Quoti. It's part of this pack: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero
Somebody did recreate those watch faces, here.
Watchface - Portions, found in Looks by ustwo Studios, you might need to search for it on the the playstore from the watch itself. People have reported compatibility issues when attempting to install from their phone/browser.
I guess it is part of this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=de
I usually use that for the "Portions" Watchface, but the OP needed white, and that came closest on my list :)
EDIT: seems not to be part of it.. then it just came default with my Ticwatch.
For those interested that face is Places and it's part of the Looks collection of faces
