Someone bought these polishing sheets on Amazon and posted the results. Looked good as new. I bought them also.....they are sitting on my counter.

Instead of putting your phone to "DND" you can just mute your phone. This will still cause a vibration on your watch, but will prevent any sound or vibration going off on your phone. You can easily automate this using tasker. If you're able to sync your work calendar with Google, you can also use an app like this, that will automatically put your phone to silent during a meeting and unmute it afterwards - that's how I do it.

(Edit: Forgot the link)
Buy, yes BUY this awesome app Watchmaker
Then on your phone's web browser (Much easier right from the phone) go to this web page: Face Repo
Then from the phone web browser just click the little download button on the lower right hand corner of the watch face you like and it should ask you which app to open it in, choose Watchmaker and then in that same app, send to phone.
I hope this makes sense.
> I have a couple of problems with it, Nine email is not showing notifications on the watch, and none of my apps from my phone are showing on the watch.
The problem here is that you didn't bother to read the release notes:
> Syncing for embedded apps is not enabled for the preview. Therefore, to test an app on a device, add it to the Play Store or side-load it onto a watch. Some existing Wear apps, e.g. Google Maps, are only using the embedded apps mechanism currently, and are therefore not installable on the preview (and therefore do not appear on the watch).
If the app you want isn't on the Play Store (the one on the watch itself), you would need to side-load it using adb. To get the Wear embedded apk to install, find the apk of the app on your phone, look under /data/app/ or download it from APKMirror, then extract it as a zip archive.
Watch: Huawei Watch 1
Charger: MOTONG
My regular charger works 100% fine, no problems. This bugs out every time I put it on. After watching this, I'm afraid to use it in fears it may destroy my watch. Already requested a refund from Amazon.
I don't have my next-gen watch yet, but far and away the best face I found for my first-gen Moto 360 was this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.smartwatchface.watch.face.aviator.android.wear
Simple, attractive and stylish, and very customizable. (But lets you disable customization through the watch face if you want.)
I use this watch face. It should fit your needs very well. I have taken my watch surfing a few times, and it's been fine, but I still probably wouldn't recommend it.
In the future, please disclose yourself as the developer of the watchface, or your post will be removed. Thanks!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=insideglobe.timesailor.animatedwatchface&hl=en
You could always install Wear Charging Widget. Works great as a nightstand clock if you've got a dock to place it on.
I use Ghostracer for tracking runs, which lets you force watch GPS in the (phone app) settings, among lots of other great settings. It works great for me, though I find the GPS on my Huawei Watch 2 to be a bit disappointing in accuracy compared to my phone.
It uploads to Strava, which IMO is superior to Runtastic, but if you must use Runtastic there are third party services which can apparently sync between the two. I haven't used any so can't recommend them, though, but it might be worth looking into.
It doesn't have everything you want, but it has most. This is the best weather face I've seen.
I keep coming back to it despite other faces looking cooler or more unique.
Many watch faces don't display the seconds hand when not active.
The one I use, Skymaster, displays when active.
I don't mean to be a downer, but am I the only one who thinks anything but a black face actually looks really bad irl? I mean I love the idea of a clean white watch face, but then you put it on and it looks (a) like a screen and (b) really bright.
I want to make this look as much like a real watch as I possibly can, and I feel like the simple black watch faces are the only ones that suitably accomplish this. Fwiw this is my current favorite.

Google, the search company, provides really, really poor searching in the Play store. Obviously the lack of fine grained searchability is on purpose, however opaque that is. Furthermore, Google took forever to even introduce the Android Wear subheading. Google doesn't provide any search functionality for Wear apps in the Play Store from phone or PC beyond what you have discovered, afaik. Useless.
In addition, it's rather interesting that the third app under the heading "Most usable Android Wear app" is a water drinking app. Really, Google. Under messaging, the one all encompassing Wear messaging app, that incorporates various app messages, Messages for Android Wear isn't even listed under the Messaging heading selection by Google Play Store. Really, Google. Neither has Google enabled feedback on just the Wear part of apps.
The Wear app situation reminds me of Windows Phone, and the large company mentality of "we know best", and "look how many apps you have for Android Wear," when in reality it's poor, the vast majority of Wear apps haven't been updated for years, even Google's own. It's like they don't want this be known, and feedback is unwanted, too. We should waste our time browsing the store for as long as possible. Perhaps the only thing that will get Google to change their ways is Apple Watch success.
Pujie Black is honestly the best one I've tried. The customization possibilities and built in sync with Google Fit for step tracking. The weather widget and calendar widget. Also really lets you do what you want with the ambient watch face.
Instaweather has about 6 or 7 different watch faces that are well done. Less of a classic look, but a lot more data which I personally like.
Edif: This is the play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.byss.instaweather.watchface
I bought a refurbished hwatch from newegg a little over a month ago, but it came with the leather strap which I'm not a huge fan of. I ordered this link band from Amazon and it's been wonderful. I saw a few reviews saying it pulls your arm hair which concerned me initially, but I have fairly hairy arms and it hasn't been a problem at all in the month I've worn it. Of course YMMV but I have absolutely no complaints.
I also bought one of that same seller's silicone bands for use at the gym. Both bands get my seal of approval FWIW.
I have been trying to do the same thing. The Huawei hr app is on demand only, same for the Android fit app. The only tool that seems to do continuous hr monitoring is this watch face, oddly: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.watch.richface.runner
It NUKES the battery, though, and doesn't send data to Android fit. Also, the hr seems to come up on the lower ends. I've resorted to going back to my Garmin chest strap, for HIIT exercises.
I'd definitely be interested in people with recommendations....
I've been using the Classical II watchface from the play store and it doesn't get any cleaner/simpler than that! And agreed on the lack of watchfaces that are designed specifically to the strengths of smartwatches. The Moto 360 Rotate watchface comes to mind - it's uniquely digital, yet plays to the circular nature of the Moto 360 screen, while cleverly drawing attention away from the flat tire.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixeloftime.classical2 http://img.talkandroid.com/uploads/2014/09/Motorola_Moto_360_Rotate_Watch_Face.png
Find My Watch has saved my watch multiple times when I have lost it. It lets you find your watch by making a loud sound and blinking or by playing the sound from the watches microphone on your phone. I also recommend Class Time if you are a student. It has a watch face showing useful info like time remaining in the current class, time to next class, what the next class is, and even percent the current class is over.
Trust me, it is well worth the 90 cent. :) So many options, a great smartphone app, continuos HR scanning, really the best watch face I had till now. I can only recommend it.
Bubble Clouds: app drawer works with other watch-faces, but it's most powerful if used as watchface
Try SGT - Sports Gear Tracker. Shows your HR in real time, digitally in the centre, analog hours, minutes, seconds, plus your intensity, and length of work out, in the perifery. Can be used either with the internal sensor or with a chest strap. It syncs to your phone, displays a curve for your pulse over time, calories burnt etc, and syncs to Google Fit.
Download the free task manager and run it to remove apps that should not be running on your watch. Sometimes I can see two different watch faces running in the back round. This is a must have app for your watch! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rocketstartups.weartaskmanager&hl=en
Yes, but I'd like to have the option when I go for a quick run. Maybe not a 100% real time but that scans every 10 seconds or something. I could always charge it after the run.
This face seems to have the option? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.watch.richface.runner&hl=en
I don't have the watch yet but I'm looking to buy one. It's the one thing that would really sell me into buying it now.
Go to Google play store and download the app task manager for android wear. This is a must and you will be able to shut off apps that should not be running and will make your watch sluggest or drain your battery. Just click close all and only the blue line apps will come back because they are the good system apps. This app is free and is a must for any android wear watch at this time. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rocketstartups.weartaskmanager&hl=en
You can try a face like skymaster that doesn't have much difference between it's active and ambient modes.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.smartwatchface.watch.face.aviator.android.wear
I find https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en to be the most practical watchface out there. Customizable, fast, easy on the battery.
You can easily find a nice preset online and making it analogue when on and digital when in ambient is simply toggling 2 switches.
You can do all of that with the Pujie Watch Face. Thing is super customizable! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en
Check out the Google+ Community too where people upload their creations on a daily basis https://plus.google.com/communities/111188993026575572764
I really love Speeds Watch Face by dev Zuhanden: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.smartwatchface.watch.face.speedometer.android.wear&hl=en
Great in ambient mode as well: http://abload.de/img/img_20160226_1436249pp04.jpg
Personally, I found Wear Mini Launcher really slowed things down. I replaced it with a Pujie Black watchface, which I customized, added on-face mini tap actions to load my most used apps, and use the tap drawer as a launcher for six other apps & functions.
Coffee slowed down my watch a bit as well. I prefer Wear Messenger, which also uses the FlickKey keyboard. Because I'm rooted and xposed on my phone, Wear Messenger also pushes (and allows me to reply to) facebook messenger and whatsapp as well. I've got a launcher in my watchface's app drawer to launch it, which is fast and kinda handy.
Both Wear Messenger and Coffee have tap overlays so that you can launch them from anywhere... I'm thinking that the overlays (or the fact that a stub is running in the background to detect the touches) is having an impact on watch performance.
There are trade-offs with my substitutions tho. You can have lots more apps in Wear Mini Launcher, and some of the functions (like toggle phone hotspot) aren't available (well, you could do something with Tasker). And Wear Messenger only supports a single list of canned replies as opposed to Coffee's nested lists. But, the tradeoff for smooth performance was well worth it to me.
I found the [VAtch Premium Watch Face] https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mariux.vatch to have a very stylish design but after installing it I found that it doesn't support the higher resolution screen of the Huawei Watch very well. Instead of properly filling the entire screen it only filled a small circle in the middle. Not content with that and having already emailed the developer asking for an update I decided to fit it myself while I wait.
Using one of the Play Store preview images that happened to show the watch face in higher resolution and after a bit of photoshop work (the preview was of the white version, I wanted the black one) as well as recreating some of the other assets as vectors in Illustrator, I ended up with something that, at least to me looks good on the watch.
Unfortunately, the watch face is a paid one so out of respect for the developer I can't really distribute it. I did offer him my updated assets though.
There's obviously a huge measure of personal taste here, but I didn't like a single one of the stock faces. There was at least one single Moto 360 face I liked. (Well, two, but I seldom used one of the two so I probably shouldn't count it.)
However, that's the advantage of Android Wear: I could choose my own watchface from a third party. I went with this one, which as far as I'm concerned is far and away the best watchface out there.
Try this application. Disable all notifications in Huawei Health, just check this newly installed app Open this app, and enable notifications you want in it. Do not forget to give it notification permission.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hu.czandor.notificationdecoder
For me, it seem like the problem is solved, and you get workaround for emojis. Gmail notifications can be read, and not just subject of the email, entire email is visible. The only downside is that you are losing notification icons, but let s be fair, only couple of those are available anyway.
I bought this from Amazon to make life easier, but you could also do it with a small flat-head screwdriver.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ZEWGSA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I prefer the steel band which is why I'm so happy this is on sale. Waiting for a sale and Friday is my birthday. So I got it.
Also this one on amazon has pretty good reviews and is a good price
I ordered a black BARTON silicon band from Amazon and it's nice. It has the quick release and looks good with the watch. https://www.amazon.com/BARTON-Quick-Release-Choice-Colors/dp/B01ASOGBYG/ref=cm_sw_em_r_c_awdo_d_pxzzxb79TPW9R_lm
I ordered [this Truffol watch band] in metal link black (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GRIHGBY) from Amazon this week. I measured the band to be exactly 22 mm wide. The space between the Huawei Watch 2 Classic lugs are also exactly 22 mm wide.
The band can be pushed between the lugs without the holding pins. With the holding pins, the band cannot be put in at all. A number of people have shown this particular band fitting on their Huawei Watch 2 Classic but I couldn't get it to work.
HW2 here, cheap amazon charger, adb works fine.

Charger : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0725482F3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Not exactly the same but pretty nice! Especially at $125 on Amazon Very Good (link). Same as the others though, it is Wear 2100. Might as well wait for Wear 3100 right?
You can try this notification app, it communicates with the phone separate from the Wear OS system and shows the full text of notifications. It can also put the status icons on the watch face, but that part doesn't work with every watch face app.
I use a combo of Sport Gear Tracker and Google Fit. SGT is amazingly versatile, tailorable and displays continuous HRM real time, which was the reason for me to get it in the first place. Data are exported to Google Fit.
You can do that with this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sk.martinflorek.wear.feelthewear&hl=en_CA
Pretty good quality for its price, and definitely works for when I want a leather option over the silver link.
Hey that's awesome! Glad to see an aftermarket band working. Could you link where you got the band from?
edit: For anyone interested, looks like we have some aftermarket options
http://www.amazon.com/18-22mm-Speidel-Twist-1393-03/dp/B005ZHPS6Y
Scratch the connection points lightly. I have to do that once every month or so. My HW1 is 2 years old this week, and other than the flimsy charger puck this watch holds up very well. I bought a replacement battery, but haven't even switched batteries yet, since the original still lasts 2 full days on one charge (using always on screen, tilt to wake, all gestures enabled but wifi turned off. Software: Bubble Cloud Watch-face / launcher)
Hi, guys.
Try WearShaker which has worked for me on all of my watches including: LG G Watch, LG G Watch R, Moto 360 v2, and Diesel On Full Guard. It has been 100% reliable for me (unlike FeelTheWear).
Another app I have found useful is called "Repeating Notifications'. It let's you repeat notifications for any app until you dismiss them. It works very reliably, but for some reason, has been removed from the Wear store. It's simple and free. If you really want it, I extracted it from my previous phone before it was taken offline. I have an APK that I can email to you. PM me if needed.
You might have seen the Wear 1.0 cards, and now you're on 2.0? e.g. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RO8xIm3Hlew/VBjyIlstKoI/AAAAAAAADTI/Ia0vDtBhcKk/s600/g%2Bhangouts_wear.png
I don't think there's a way to conditionally disable notifications on your watch without hijinks. Your default options as I see them:
That said, almost anything is possible with AutoWear. I can imagine setting a profile that checks for screen on, and enables Do Not Disturb on your watch for the duration. I've had good and bad experiences with AutoWear, and in any case it's a lot of work.
I don't know the answer to that. My daily tracking works without any intervention. I set it up a long time ago, and can't remember. I have two system apps, Daily Tracking, symbolized by a sneaker, and Google Fit. In addition two variations of Google Fit show up on the watch, Fit and Fit Workout. Opening the latter gives a laundry list of activites. So, I guess if you choose a workout the activity will be logged as such.
I also have YouMove installed for tracking workouts, although that's for working out with weights. Finally I have Interval Timer a very simple app, for setting up timing intervals. It is just time, rather than pulse, based. Set up how long the pause is supposed to last, and the number of repeats. It will only vibrate, not sound a chime. Oddly, it doesn't show up on the Play Store when searching from the watch, only when searching from the phone. However it installs, and works fine.
3) Some watch faces use a lot of battery, others less so. Huawei's own are particularly frugal. There are frugal faces among the custom ones as well. Some apps, even though they hardly run, still seem to use up energy as well.
1) & 4) Try Smart Wear Notification to tailor incoming calls and app messages. In addition to settings done on the phone, e.g. allowing certain callers through, or none, there's a general sound off, or message off that can be set on the watch. I'm not using Facebook, but most every app can be tailored with SMN. There's also Wear Messages, which allows you to text, and there's also Feel The Wear. Both these latter ones require you to pay for the various features.
Notification sounds aren't a default of Android Wear. To get sounds, you'll want to install Feel The Wear. You'll need to ensure that your Alarm volume on the watch is turned up (it's usually silent by default, for some unknown reason), and I've also found that you need to assign both a sound, AND a vibration pattern in FTW to get the notification sound.
I just use the tap drawer built into Pujie Black; I've also got tap targets on the watchface itself. Admittedly, that means I'm limited to 9 (3 on the watchface, 6 in the drawer), but I manage just fine.
Not my taste, but try this one. Its free and has a similar look. Can't change the color though but it is free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thirtythreelabs.android.orbital&hl=en
I always recommend to newbies that they download the free Task Manager for Android wear on Google play store. This Task manager will allow you to kill apps that are running on your watch and draining the battery. The blue lines are system apps and will pop up running again. This is normal. Its a must have app for any android wear watch. Enjoy your watch! Here is the link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rocketstartups.weartaskmanager&hl=en
1 - On your watch: Settings > Sound
2 - I use Display Brightness which sets the brightness automatically based on your activity.
During the day, if I'm driving/walking/running/cycling/etc, I've got it set for max brightness. If I'm idle, usually I'm inside, so I've set it to medium.
At night, everything is set to medium-low.
Its effective and rarely have to manually triple-press for brightness boost (usually, I'm sitting on a patio somewhere).
3/4 - Go into Fit settings on your phone and enable Goal Notifications and Announcements. You can also set goals and it'll remind you and encourage you.
You can do an initial pair with an Android device then use this app on both the android phone and iPhone to have it sort of pair with the iPhone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codegy.wearconnectforios
You get things like iOS notifications, play controls, etc, but get the ability to install apps from Android.
Its definitely not the best solution but its the only one I've come across so far.
Bubble Cloud Launcher has this feature: image It calculates sunset and sunrise based on your geographical location and the time of the year.
You can use twilight for that. It changes redness level, apart from changing brightness, but you can disable that.
It adjusts brightness and redness values for the phone and the watch based on time of the day.
You have to leave the twilight app running on the watch for this to work, though.
I like Ranger and Skymaster, but I keep going back to the Brownstone preset in Pujie Black Watch Face (link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack). I have the black Huatch, but I feel like the actual color has more of a grey/brown tint to it (especially in the sun). Anyways, I feel like the Brownstone preset looks really sharp with my watch and I keep going back to it after trying any other watch faces.
I like Weather Timeline for my weather app and has a decent interactive watchface. Also Card settings for wear notifications.
Took huawei watch off charger at 8AM today, at 8PM it's at 62% I use Bubble Cloud interactive watch face launcher, which does a bunch, not a one trick watch face. I also have both tilt-to-wake, and gesture control enabled. Running Wear Stand up Alert which is an inactivity detector, also runs constantly. Bubble Cloud controls my screen brightness, but I like it fairly bright (even in ambient). Just the other day I thought about turning WIFI on too, because I never saw less than 30% at the end of a day, no matter how long the day was or how heavily I used the watch. I am yet to kill it in a day.
My favorite appstore watch face ambient mode that seems AMOLED safe is probably
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.smartwatchface.odyssey.watch.face&hl=en
you can get a very dim ambient view but with nice colors
Best bet for good looking AMOLED safe ambient faces is messing about with Watchmaker though (which lets you set the background very dark/remove any problem static elements, but leave the moving elements relatively bright, so you can easily tell the time using the hands and get a hint of color/visuals in the background to make it look like a real watch)
(I don't like the "all black except for the hands" view that all the stock watches give you)
I'm converting loads of my favorite WM faces at the moment, I'll post some once I'm happy they're not going to ruin peoples' AMOLED displays :)
Feel the Wear lets you set vibration patterns by app (including no vibration at all). There's an in-app purchase for additional functionality (which I'm very happy I paid for), but the free version will do what you need.
No - no compass. The map doesn't reorient as you turn around. Your current location is only shown as a dot.
While navigating, the map points in the direction of travel. When you're not navigating, it shows north-up and a dot with your location.
I'm not sure what you're looking for... but, personally, while hiking I use Backcountry Navigator (there's a free version available too) - I bought the app at least 5 years ago and love it. For offline use, you can download detailed topo maps. I'm very impressed with the included wear app (shows a map, your tracks, and an indicator of your direction of travel; swipe to get to your travel stats). A watchface is included too with your map & tracks as the background, some travel stats and, of course, the time.
You may want to try temporarily^* installing Wear Battery Stats and letting it run for 4+ hours while you go about your day. It'll give you some better details on what's eating your battery.
^* ^(Unfortunately the battery stats app sucks battery as well)
Uninstall the old one.
When you open it for the first time, it should prompt you for Audio permission, grant it and close the app, then open it again and grant the storage permission.
Tested on emulator.
Again, uninstall the old one
When you open it for the first time, it should prompt you for Audio permission, grant it and close the app, then open it again and grant the storage permission.

I think he's looking for more than a band. But instead a case that you can put your watch into, like how the Sony SW3 does it or this one for the Apple Watch http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Slim-fit-for-Apple-Watch-silicone_60250767005.html
Idk man the tech is only getting older and the default amazon price is already $100 off MSRP or 33% off.
A look at the price history of it on amazon has it trending cheaper and cheaper with occasional crazy sales.
Ah. They've added "home app" versions, which just confuses matters more. My HW2 is 2.14.0.205078731. You need to make sure you get the apk -for- wearOS and not just the apk for connecting to it.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-wear-smartwatch-android-wear/
As for International, I believe it has some Chinese-named apps installed by default. Look through your system app list in settings perhaps.
How do I tell if it's international or US?
I'm a little confused. This download site shows WearOS 2.15 as the most recent version and doesn't list any 1.0 version numbers.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-wear/
Where can I download the most recent WearOS versions?
I also replaced my battery, about $25 on Amazon here and it came with the tools (aka small screwdrivers). Was about a 20min project.
I had this exact problem with my Watch GT 2e
Did you download the app from Google play store? For me it only started working when I downloaded the app from Huawei's own App Gallery
You'll have to install the app gallery store first and then the health app from there. Uninstall the Google Play version first so you don't mix them up.
It'll ask you to allow installs from foreign sources so you'll have to allow that too.
Tell me if you're still having trouble after this
Try this application. Disable all notifications in Huawei Health, just check this newly installed app Open this app, and enable notifications you want in it. Do not forget to give it notification permission.

there is this trick people do to repair scratched glass, but its rather like cheap fix. Idk if its actually work on watch. I have personally tried on my Glass table.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GKQBWWF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_6aqkFbDXE5YBE
Sure thing But start with the cleaning and removing oxidation from the watch connectors first. I bought the motong charger on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G15ZLJM) and the one I bought on eBay is no longer there, but again - did not test it so ymmv - search ”metal black replacement Huawei smart watch 1”
Good luck!
Check the play store on the watch. Any watch face the supports external complications will work. These are my favorites:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.watchfaces.hero&hl=en_US
Yes it can record continuous HRM. I use Sport Gear Tracker and tracking can be set for every 5, 10 or 30 seconds. It's recorded and transferred to the phone at the end of the session. Furthermore it also displays the heart rate continuously. Great app. Data can be exported to Google Fit.
Ghostracer. I haven't used it. The main purpose seems to be to compare your sessions to yourself, and, mainly, compete with others. It supports Ant+ and BLE sensors including cadence. It has the feature to "Export .gpx or tcx files" which is what you're looking for if I understand correctly.
You have two good options:
SWApp True Dark: dim by an amount you choose by tapping at the 3 o'clock position (edit: probably should have read the whole post)
Wear Brightness Control: Slide along edge of watch to change brightness
Apparently it didn't actually pass IP67/8 testing so didn't get that rating in the U.S. I have also heard Huawei isn't honoring warranty claims for water damage and they are not advertising it as waterproof here... just check on Amazon in the question and answer sections and look for the actual responses from Huawei. Link
It might be and I think they wanted it to be, but it didn't work out. I am not going to test my luck because I otherwise like the watch and would like to keep it... sort of into watches. I will definitely be upgrading eventually to something with sleep tracking that is actually waterproof though, eventually.
Couple minutes? All I buy are the bands with the quick release.
Here are the silicon ones: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JJ6WK0S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use a silicone band I got from amazon and it works pretty well.
To be honest the wrist is just a terrible place to measure in general when you're moving your arms around a lot. I use the HW1 for passive reading and then a Scosche Rhythm+ between my bicep and shoulder for actual exercise. Or you could go the chest strap route.
I have this 3D printed stand and I love it:
https://www.amazon.com/Artifex-Charging-Printed-Technology-Smartwatch/dp/B01BRRJTSI/
It puts the watch at the perfect angle, and the little felt pad keeps metal bands from getting scratched while they're hanging there.
I have an aftermarket metal band, so I'm not sure how the one from Huawei latches (I'm guessing it stays in one connected piece though), so you're probably having a tough time getting it to mount the charger while balancing on the band?
Would something like this help?
I don't have it, so I can't vouch for the quality. I've been considering buying it or building something similar.
I got this one, it was only $8 when i ordered it. I guess it's $20 now :( Still cheaper than the official band:

Thanks! I got these: 18mm x 1.8mm Quick Release Spring Bar with Cylindrical Push Button for Watch Band (Set of Two) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010D08Q5C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_k3RLxbSY8NFN2
I haven't cut holes in the back of the straps to get to the release mechanism yet, but I can open and close it by pushing a very small flat blade screwdriver in between the folds of the band.
~~It does look like the version with the steel mesh band is going for $300 on Amazon right now~~
The deal has since ended
I have this one and it works great. It's still listed:
I use this one, I bought two and they work just like the original charger. All chargers for this watch are finicky as you have to make sure you connect it correctly. But I am super happy with this cheap cradle:
If you want a link band specifically tailored to the Huawei Watch, buy the HOCO link band from eBay. It's a perfect replica of the OEM link band but for $20-25 (with a band adjustment tool included in the box). The 18 mm bands which don't flare out to 22 mm tend to look a bit feminine on this watch.¨
You can also order the one below if you are really set on buying it in the US. It's supposedly the same band as the Hoco version. I wouldn't take a chance on any of the other brands besides these two though as many sellers sell completely different bands and then just rip the images from the Hoco or OEM listings.
No :(. There was a similar stainless steel band as well that looked nice ( same yesoo+180 days etc)
I ended up finding this after a long search , I usually avoid things that are not at least shipped my Amazon, but let's see when it gets here. There are similar products that have reviews (people who are apparently selling bands and the picture looks like hoco (, has branding) or b similarly nice looking Milanese, some of whom have negative reviews that the product was nothing like the picture .so not sure
Btw: how is the Milanese band? My only fears with that are:
If using a silver Hwatch, highly recommend this one, matched the shine and color really well.
Clasp open style took a bit getting used to, but prefer it more now for easier removal.
Great deal on Amazon only 16 hours left...
Not sure if this one can be shipped to you, but this is what I have and I love it. Fully adjustable down to whatever exact size you want, since it has a strong magnet instead of a clasp.

Got these Hadley Roma 18mm ones: http://www.amazon.com/Hadley-Roma-MS3362RA-180-Genuine-Silicone/dp/B005EJGIPI/ref=pd_srecs_cs_241_6?ie=UTF8&dpID=319crsngOPL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_SL500_SR170%2C250_&refRID=1VAF58AG3DZEY1B8Z24C
Super comfy and installed them with the JP spring bars and tool. I recommend them
I bought mine with the stock metal link band but I love these as well:

I went to three jewelers, all told me it wouldn't be a problem. First one gave up, no pins removed. Second one got a pin out, then another halfway out, before she said she was worried she was going to break it. A professional watch repair shop refused "to work on cheap Chinese shit" even says on their website, no cheap Chinese watches. Third one got it luckily. It was a very troublesome day. I was really worried They'd mess up my watch. Then after all that it wasn't snug enough for the pulse reader to work. I need to go back and have that last guy remove one more link. But int he meantime I bought this and love it. I've only had it one day so far but I really like it.
edit* the thing that pisses me off the most about all this, is I've owned probably 30+ watches from different makes from $50-$500, and 4 smart watches. The Huawei steel band is the most solid, nicest one I've used. So to m,ake it so difficult to size and have people call it cheap about an hour after I got it annoyed me to no end.
