Pujie Black. I spent a lot of time getting it looking just like I wanted and, while I like trying out new faces, it's my go-to.
I use the shortcuts from Pujie Black, which is also a watch face customiser on its own.
Used to use Wear Mini Launcher prior to discovering Pujie Black
It's my own face I made with Pujie Black. You can get the watchface here.
Pujie Black is the one I've been rocking for a while. It's insanely customisable; you can make it look pretty much however you want.
Really looking forward to long-press button to voice search.
My huawei watch is a bit hit and miss coming out of sleep when I raise my wrist sometimes
For the rest, the pujie black watch face has many of these features already - extra information like calendar and fitness on watch face, configurable app and action shortcuts etc.
Well worth checking out - but it's good to see Google will bake this in to the OS.
I believe it is Pujie Black. I may be wrong https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
The same developer also makes Pujie Red and Pujie Blue. They are somewhat similar
Pujie Black has a variety of options like that, including showing calendar events as a ring, or just the next one as text.
Pujie Black is one of my favorites. If you want, you can add a new launcher, and you can customize the face to almost anything you want.

The preset community has a lot of examples as to what can be done.

Pujie Black updated to support it pretty quickly, allowing you to customize where to tap for the schedule view as well as for a new fit based view.
Pujie Black is my go to.
I have a black metal strap, and I was looking for new watch faces last night, and I kept coming back to Pujie. I love how customization it is. It takes some work to get it setup, but once you have it set, it pays off ten fold!
This is the configuration I am currently using, and I love it.
Hope that helps!
I bought the pujie watch face and it's soooo good.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en
You can customise it loads and it's always updating. I haven't changed the face since. It is a paid app, but I bought it with all my free Google Opionin rewards moneyz. Worth it.
Shazam is pretty cool and I have a flappy bird clone which is shamefully fun when you're bored.
It is custom. I didn't design it but I did modify it slightly to my likings. It uses the pujie black watch face app and I found the watch face in this app.
I use PujieBlack as my watchface app and you can customise both active & idle exactly how you want. Easy to make them look the same.
Pujie Black is honestly the best one I've tried. The customization possibilities and built in sync with Google Fit for step tracking. The weather widget and calendar widget. Also really lets you do what you want with the ambient watch face.
Looks lovely. The folks at /r/moto360/ and /r/androidwear are quite informative. Lots of watch faces at /r/facer as well.
I really like this one:

If there are any wear developers here please make a Monty themed watchface :-)
Welcome. Might I suggest Pujie if you want to make custom watchfaces. It's the bomb. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
You can download any watch face from the Play Store and change it to that if you want. I bought the Pujie Watch Face from the Play Store a while ago when I was using it with my old watch. It works very well on the Vapor!
The thickness is okay for me, since I am used to it. It's 13.5 mm (.53 inches) and it's not too bad, at least for me. The Fossil Q 2nd Gen is the same thickness.
You can buy the watch from Misfit Vapor's official site or check your local stores. I think Kohl's has it, Best Buy, or even Amazon.
Pujie Black supports complications and can also display phone battery.
An example is mine using the system notification count and Google Fit's step counter: http://i.imgur.com/R03qM4c.png
There's no phone battery complication so I'm using Pujie's inbuilt one to show phone/watch battery.
I find https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en to be the most practical watchface out there. Customizable, fast, easy on the battery.
You can easily find a nice preset online and making it analogue when on and digital when in ambient is simply toggling 2 switches.
Thanks! It's a Pujie Black watchface I made, here's the import code if you want it: click me :D
You can do all of that with the Pujie Watch Face. Thing is super customizable! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en
Check out the Google+ Community too where people upload their creations on a daily basis https://plus.google.com/communities/111188993026575572764
Not an OLED so no way to do that but if you want simple and functional I would recommend checking out Pujie Black. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en
Personally, I found Wear Mini Launcher really slowed things down. I replaced it with a Pujie Black watchface, which I customized, added on-face mini tap actions to load my most used apps, and use the tap drawer as a launcher for six other apps & functions.
Coffee slowed down my watch a bit as well. I prefer Wear Messenger, which also uses the FlickKey keyboard. Because I'm rooted and xposed on my phone, Wear Messenger also pushes (and allows me to reply to) facebook messenger and whatsapp as well. I've got a launcher in my watchface's app drawer to launch it, which is fast and kinda handy.
Both Wear Messenger and Coffee have tap overlays so that you can launch them from anywhere... I'm thinking that the overlays (or the fact that a stub is running in the background to detect the touches) is having an impact on watch performance.
There are trade-offs with my substitutions tho. You can have lots more apps in Wear Mini Launcher, and some of the functions (like toggle phone hotspot) aren't available (well, you could do something with Tasker). And Wear Messenger only supports a single list of canned replies as opposed to Coffee's nested lists. But, the tradeoff for smooth performance was well worth it to me.
Pujie Black is a stylish, thoroughly-customizable watch face. It lets you build your active- and ambient-mode watch faces with any combination of analog and digital components that you please. A recent update dramatically increased the number of customization options, so I highly recommend this app.
second recommendation for pujie black
one seriously customizable face and every update has added even more cool features
It's a great looking watchface, I especially like the grey background one. But having recently discovered Pujie Black I can't go back to anything else right now. It's insanely customizable and is very easy on the battery.
You can customize EVERYTHING with an app called Pujie Black. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it is well worth sticking with it.
App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
The only "battery" feature I don't use on my gen 4 is Ok Google. I still have tilt to wake, always on, and all those other ones. But I'm also the kinda person that puts the watch on the charger at the end of every day and doesn't use Fit. I get around 10 hours before it jumps into extended mode at 20%, and time only at 15% much later.
As for watchface, personally, I use Pujie Black. It's not the lightest on battery but can be configured heavily. Think Facer, but.. different?
I used the watch face designer app Pujie Black with my Huawei Watch 2 and I really liked it. I just changed phones and also got the Fossil Sport since my HW2 won't charge anymore, so I have to reinstall Pujie and get it set up again.
The best part about the app is that you can completely customize your watch face, both the active face (when you wake up the watch) and the ambient face (when the watch goes into always on mode). So you can go crazy and do whatever you want, like adding complications or other things to the ambient face. I think you can also customize how long your active face stays active. The built in Fossil watch faces seem to change to the ambient face really fast which is annoying.
Here's the link to the app... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Pujie Black is the way to go. There are a ton of presets and you can tweak everyone to what you like. It isn't the most intuitive but it gives you a ton of options. Outside of just looks they are functional as well. Highly recommended and at a few bucks it is a steal.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
I have the Moto 360 1st gen. Would I recommend it now? That depends.
For me, it works great. I just want simple notifications on my wrist at all times. I also want to have the time, weather, date, and step counter at a glance. I also don't want to sleep with my watch, nor do I use it while at home. For me, it's an extension of my phone for when I'm out and about or at the office, and can't rely on the fact I'll be able to do something on my phone directly.
To accomplish this, I have my watch set in ambient mode with wrist gestures completely turned off. That means I ALWAYS have the display show me my time, date, steps, weather, and power level (I use the Pujie Black watchface). Since I have the ambient display showing, I don't need the watch to light up when I bring my wrist up to look at it, that's why I have gestures turned off. This also helps save battery which is being slowly dribbled by ambient mode.
By doing this, I can leave for work at 8am and still have plenty of battery when I get home around 5:30. I place it on the charger as soon as I get home and will put it back on if I go to the store or we go out to dinner. Since the battery is tiny, it charges up surprisingly quick. Even in the hour it takes for us to get ready to go out for dinner, I'm up to nearly 100% which will more than get me through until I get back home.
However, if I were to sleep with this watch or use it from morning until night, there's no way that it would stay running with the settings I have.
I couldn't care less about future updates. This thing isn't the speediest and OS upgrades won't fix that. I also have every single feature I could possibly want on a watch, so there's nothing I am missing that might come to other watches but not the OG 360.
I just use the tap drawer built into Pujie Black; I've also got tap targets on the watchface itself. Admittedly, that means I'm limited to 9 (3 on the watchface, 6 in the drawer), but I manage just fine.
Not quite what you're asking for, but maybe something you'd consider: Pujie Black will let you put up to three launchers on your watchface plus has an app drawer with up to six more. And, there's no lag opening the app drawer as its part of the watchface.
I like Ranger and Skymaster, but I keep going back to the Brownstone preset in Pujie Black Watch Face (link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack). I have the black Huatch, but I feel like the actual color has more of a grey/brown tint to it (especially in the sun). Anyways, I feel like the Brownstone preset looks really sharp with my watch and I keep going back to it after trying any other watch faces.
Pujie Black watchface has user-definable on-face tap targets (link 'em to whatever app or action you want to launch) and an integrated drawer for six more. And, of course, you can customize the watch face as well (or download one made by the community). It also has a few battery-saving features including disabling anti-aliasing in ambient mode, changing the screen on time, and various options for disabling animations.
With Pujie Black, you can set a "tap zone" to directly bring up the voice input. :)
Don't know if other watchfaces have that option, but I do know Pujie has it.
I'm a fan of Pujie Black and Skymaster Pilot. Both look great and are super customizable.
Sorry man but that looks too much like pujie black which gives many more face options and costs just 40 cents more.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Edit. Spelling
It's one that I customized using an app called Pujie Black (Link). The app has the ability to import presets, so if you paste the link from my comment above, it will import the exact presets I used.
Been playing around with Pujie Black and am suitably impressed. Highly configurable and you can make minimal watch faces that don't look naff.
If you haven't, take a look at Pujie Black, it has a lot of great/original watch faces contributed by users in its cloud library. Downsides currently are that the cloud service is for-pay (currently around 12-ish € for life) and that fitness data is obtained from Fit, not FitBit, but there are tools to sync the two up until Google hopefully unifies them.
You could try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en_GB&gl=US or any other watch face designer.
i use Pujie Black, the editor is on your phone and can either be a live edit so you can see the results as you change them or you can send it to your watch when you are ready each time.

Puije Black is my favorite watch faces designer and repository:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
I was hesitant. Why spend $2 when the others are "free"?
Puije is $2 for the app without any ads. From there, you can install any face for free. You can browse an online library for $5/yr.
If you already have a premium membership, Spotify.
I'm in the process of looking at to do apps.
Super customizable watch face engine: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
You can find some really awesome designs for it, and they tend to be more battery efficient than a lot of the other face builders I've tried (at least in my experience).
It's this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
It's really cool and highly customizable. It has a lot of tap actions that are completely customizable and has tasker integration. I set it up so I can turn on my pc via wake on lan, have quick Spotify controls. And also I can control my Philips Hue Lights with my watch through those quick tap actions. It's really cool and makes the watch more than a gimmick for me.

I recommend Watch Face - Pujie Black - Wear OS & Galaxy Watch by u/PujieWear.
Very little effect on battery life, responsive developer, thousands of presets created by other users available on the Cloud Library, easily modify existing presets or create your own, and r/PujieBlack to discuss with the developer and other users.
Been using Pujie Black and have created a couple watchfaces using it, and the battery life is pretty good compared to Facer.
As with all Android watches I highly recommend Pujie Black (also needs to be installed off the Galaxy store)
This is pretty much the be all and end all of watch face designers. It only recently started supporting the Galaxy watches but it is so nice to use, simple to set up and if you are a big fan of customization, you can lose yourself fiddling with things on this watch face designer.
Worth the £1.59 for it.
Can't see it!
" To use this shared preset you will need the Android Wear watch face app Pujie Black "
Here you go. Just install it on your phone and search through their pre-made watch faces and you'll find it there. In the Presets section.
Gas Buddy (app to find lowest price auto fuel around you - horrible on battery)
You can custom make your watch face from the ground up and set the ambient and active watch faces to your liking.
This is my ambient watchface: http://i.imgur.com/hEXs3YC.png
very minor ones that I notice:
– during phone call, the buttons aren't centered (they are more towards the left side of the screen). Doesn't affect the dialer.
– preview of watch face on Pujie Black in its own app flickers
– (maybe not minor based on your usage) Now on Tap / Screen Search via long press home button doesn't work.
in any case, Nougat has in-built DPI adjuster so things shouldn't be too broken.
Hm, no I don't use watchmaker but I remember reading that some people mentioned that watchmaker causes battery drain. Currently I'm using Pujie black.
Quite possible. I'm not sure what the file structure of the 360 looks like, but should be easy enough to figure out and where to push .watch files.
Have you also tried other APK watch faces like Pujie Black or Skymaster?
It animates features of the watch up above the cards when they pop up. It's really slick and looks great!
I was frustrated with options out there for my LG G so I finally bought Pujie Black and couldn't be happier. Rich customization choices. You can include steps.
Edit, link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
I like the Minimal and Elegant watch face. Not sure how to add temp on watchface. Might look at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Might find a similar watch face using that program.
Try Pujie Black if you haven't already. My G Watch hasn't seen a hit in battery life since I started using it, and it's highly customizable.
Coming from the pebble I would go with the LG urbane watch because it should have the best battery life. 2 or more days while most others have 1 day. Id also check out facerepo for all the watchfaces people have created:
Although my favorite is one in the play store , the very customizable pujie black: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en
As far as usage what I use wear the most for is notifications, short replys to messages by voice, loyalty cards (storcard) , google now, controlling media, counting steps and finding my phone The controlling media part is especially good to use with headphones, bluetooth speakers, chromecast or an android tv. And google now of course covers a lot of territory google now voice search, setting reminders/notes by time/location, timers, checking stocks , weather, sports scores...etc
I was thinking something like Puije Black without the indicators with some elements from the original Adapt. For example, the black and white theme, battery gauge, time markings around the circumference of the face, and the weather info on the bottom.
I'm a new owner and first time AW user. I'm loving Pujie Black Watch Face for customizing my own watch faces.
I'm a big fan of Pujie Black. I have been using it for about a year. I try others sometimes but always come back. The new customizable launcher is an amazing addition and I really like the custom widgets. I have one for battery, one for weather, and one for fitness. The calendar widget is also really nice but I don't use my calendar enough to use the widget.

my favorite face by a landslide
My "best of" list:
Also worth of note:
I still use all these frequently, even after 6 months with my ZW2.
Ticwatch E using a Puji Black watchface (Don't remember how i got it tho) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=nl

Pujie Black. Highly customisable. Highly awesome.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Check out Pujie Black
> it says loads are installed like Facebook and WhatsApp etc, is that just synced in with my phone and they'll interact now?
Any apps that work with wear on your phone will show on the watch.
>Can I open WhatsApp on my watch or do I have to wait for a message to come through?
I don't use WhatsApp so I'm not sure, maybe someone else can answer that.
> Also, what are some killer apps on the wear store to have on the watch? Also what is watch maker and how do I get that and how do I make my 360 look like an MGS codec or pipboy? I know it's not original but it still looks so good, I'd love to know how.
I get my watchfaces from Facerepo . There's three categories on the site ( Facer, watchmaker, and Pujie Black) that correspond to their app on the google play store. They all allow custom watchfaces. I personally use Watchmaker Premium (you need premium for importing watchfaces)
You can also find watchfaces in the play store that don't require an additional app. Here's the links to the three apps I mentioned.
The process to get watchfaces (i only have watchmaker so I don't know if it's similar with the others) I go to facerepo, filter by watchmaker and when i see one i like on the phone, hit download and choose to open in watchmaker.
Some apps I use on my watch
I saw before where you can sideload them through ADB without root. Personally, I highly recommend Pujie Black
Think OP meant Pujie Black.
Pujie Black is my favorite watch face: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Hourly Chime is helpful for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.t3hh4xx0r.hourlychime
For audio, I use WearMedia: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=qubin.de.wearmedia

I use Pujie Black - it's great and very customizable.

Give Pujie Black Watch Face a try
I really like Pujie Black
Facepro is a good place to look.
Personally, I wouldn't be very happy with my hwatch if I didn't have pujie black. It has a ton of functionality that really should be part of Android Wear by default (but isn't), and it can be skinned to look like whatever you want.
There are tons of presets out there to get you started, but you can always tweak it to look/behave however you want.
Pujie Black. I just keep coming back to it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
I believe Pujie Black has the option to open the voice prompt on a tap action.
I was in the exact same boat as you. I ended up going with this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Battery life get hurt badly when using ambient. As far as I know, most people just use tilt to wake.
There are loads of beautiful watch faces available. Some are highly customizable, most are limited to customizing the small round indicators.
If you get an app like Facer or Watchmaker (For about $1 or $2), you can pick your prefered watch face from the huge facerepo collection.
But imo, the nicest watch faces are found on the play store for around $1 each (pujie black, skymaster, traveler, forza).
I go through a few different watchmaker ones, but keep coming back to this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
For what it's worth, you might want to check out the following apps in the app store if you want more watch faces:
I tend to prefer the ones that are standalone apps from the Play Store myself, but there's a ton of variety from tons of different developers in those three apps.
I prefer/recommend Pujie Black as another option for designing faces directlyon the phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack

Pay for the subscription to pujieblack.com/library "an online social library of watch faces and watch parts. You can use it to safely store your creations and to share them with others."
I'm not 100% sure but I think this was made with Pujie Black.
If a watchface with buttons for dedicated media controls built in would work, check out Pujie Black.

use Pujie Black to make whatever you want
take a look at Pujie Black
I use Pujieblack which lets me have four shortcuts on the home screen one of those can be a shortcut to another set of 6 shortcuts. You have to pay for it.
Alternatively you could install Quick Launcher if you want to keep your current watchface and it's what I use on top of Pujie Black.
Or try Apollo wear launcher. However it doesn't work well with my SW3. It may work with yours though. Note although it can be a watchface it does not have to be. If you switch out of it, it will still work.
I'm just 1 week into mine and found this is the best for me... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Pujie Black is a lovely watchface and it's pretty customizable, I always end up going back to it.
There are also the obvious ones like Facer and WatchMaker that let you make custom faces or download them from a source such as FaceRepo.
Top tip: Sign up to Google Opinion Rewards, I've ended up with enough credit to pay for all of my wear apps so far!

Yes, since yesterday Pujie Black has Calendar integration as well! And weather and much more... -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en

Silicone case is definitely worth it. It does add to the size, but it's not very noticable.

- Tasker
I could never get the Now Playing portion to work reliably with only Tasker, but works very well with Notification Listener + Tasker on my 4 XL.

Ye, you need Pujie Black https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack&hl=en_AU
I made it in the Pujie Black app..
Broadly speaking, there are two kinds of watchfaces: standalone apps, and configurations that work with general-purpose apps.

In the former category, there are ton of these things. One general purpose search that seems to find a lot of them: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=wearos%20watchfaces

In the latter category, there are things like Pujie Black and Facer, which can be configured in all kinds of ways. See, for example, Facer's homepage.

Gratuitous plug: check out my own watchface: CalWatch2: draws 12 hours of your calendar on the watchface. Also, it's open source.
Pujie Black... it's awesome, I can't stop playing around with it.
Another Android Wear watch face customizer : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Looks like it'd be pretty ready to duplicate the look using Pujie Black https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pujie.wristwear.pujieblack
Thanks. I didn't make it, just modified it a bit. It's from the this app.
Yup, ya did well!
And, when you get the watch, here are a couple of usability apps that I like:
Pujie Black - customizable watchface with built-in (and responsive) app drawer
Feel the Wear - my vibrator is a bit light, so I use this to set a vibration pattern that I'll notice. You can also set custom notification sounds if that's your thing.
Display brightness for wear - automatically sets the watch backlight depending on your activity.
