Pujie Black is my go to.
I have a black metal strap, and I was looking for new watch faces last night, and I kept coming back to Pujie. I love how customization it is. It takes some work to get it setup, but once you have it set, it pays off ten fold!
This is the configuration I am currently using, and I love it.
Hope that helps!
Watchface: Skymaster Pilot
Strap: £6 metal black mesh from China.
Overall this feels much more expensive a watch than it is now.
First thing I did after one day's worth of wearing, bought a black stainless band. The silicone/rubber or whatever on it just felt terrible after wearing a Casio stainless for over a decade.
Bought this (I seem to remember 22mm was the correct LG G Watch size?) "New 18 20 22 24 mm Heavy Double Lock Flip Diver Clasp Stainless Strap Watch Band ( 301010558210 )" from this seller.
Next thing I did was install the Google Wear app and the battery stats.
Been wearing it on and off when I feel like keeping it charged up for x amount of days and it's pretty cool to use whilst driving and texting my missus etc.
Feels a bit like a novelty still and therefore is not always on my wrist.
It's a custom Zooper Widget design transmitted via the Wearable Widgets app.
The 'H' indicates a Tasker profile, but everything else only requires Zooper.
That's clever and I like it. Can you post a link to the cradle you used? You might consider this charging app. It will rotate the screen when docked. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vuxia.wearchargingwidget
Not wanting to get your hopes high BUT yes I also saw the ifixit teadown and saw that Gear live and Lg g watch being the 1st devices Samsung Gear live has it while G watch doesn't but then I read the other day about this nifty app AIDA64
and saw this https://twitter.com/rojajimmy/status/576758636086607873 It says WiFI not supported And I AM SO HOPING it means that it can be turned on by a software flick. :)
We keep seeing issues with the OEM docks so I went third party last February and couldn't be happier. I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O6U9C9K/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It charges every time with no cleaning or wiggling or fuss.
AFAIK, the GWatch only has USB (requires base) and BTLE (with a data transfer rate of 0.3mbps, just a bit slower than a small dog with a flashdrive on his collar). Theoretically, my way would be an extra base in your briefcase/etc, with a microusb>usb straight adapter (not a cable, something like this http://www.amazon.com/Micro-USB-Male-Female-Adapter/dp/B0027YYMU6 but with a male USB on both ends), and use ADB to push files from the pc via
adb push ./path/to/local.file /sdcard/destination.file
Ninja-edit: I wouldn't do this. Too big of a PITA, I'll stick to my thumbdrive in a locket or something.
I prefer single piece Zulu straps but the spring bars on the G watch are so close to the body that they are hard to get on/off for charging and the two piece straps solve this problem perfectly!
I'm using this watchface https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.wearabledesigns.ledwithweather with colours on always on and it does not affect my lg g watch battery compared to other black and white watch faces
I don't know about your situation, if you treat your watch roughly or nicely. I live in an Arabian country, and work in sandy parts a lot. Gorilla Glass is weak to sand, and I have only a tiny scratch on the bezel. So it should hold strong. So I don't think a screen protector is necessary.
I use this band, it's a fingerprint magnet, but is really nice: http://www.amazon.com/Coromose%C2%AE-Luxury-Stainless-Steel-Watch/dp/B00RD352H8/ref=pd_sim_watch_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0G7A2TPY7QQ788HYNXXS
We'll have to wait for more ROMs

Hope I helped you. :)
