Problem Solved.

Go to the Playstore and get the app called
"Staylit" it has the exact feature and option that you are looking for.
It has many time settings for screen on and it works perfectly.
Here is the direct play store link for the app:

Good luck, have a great day!
> This is currently impossible.
Except that it's not.

I think it's safe to assume that the OP is aware of battery drain and only wants it to stay on during the course of his run and not 24/7.
Yes, it's called StayLit Wear. If you just want to keep an app in the foreground, a better solution is to actually let the watch go to sleep, but use sticky open to bring it back to the foreground when you wake the watch. This is much better on battery, and you can even see the time and other information on your ambient watch face before waking the watch.
In my understanding the screen timeout is/can be controlled by the watch face or an app. My watch face (Ksana Sweep) has a maximum of 20 seconds. There seem to be apps for the purpose of elongating the timeout. One such is an app called StayLit Wear https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
Go to the google play store and get the app called "staylit". With that app you can set it up to keep the screen on as long as the watch face is facing upward then when the watch is either lowered or the watch face is facing downward the screen will turn off and back on again as it normally does.

Here is the direct link to the "Staylit" app on the google playstore:

You can also use this app for setting the exact number of minutes or seconds that you want the screen to be on until it times out.
Good luck, have a great day!

The app StayLit will keep the smart mode on longer:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en
Some faces will allow you to have a more complete face even in ambient mode. And you can also use StayLit to keep the display on longer (although it will impact battery life - for reference, Apple Watches turn the display off entirely rather than having an ambient mode).
This was one of the first apps I installed on my watch 3 years ago. The good thing about it is that it works on the system level, so it's not tied to a specific watchface or launcher.

I've never used it, but this might do what you want?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en
p.s. For Android Wear questions, /r/androidwear is pretty active!
Increasing vibration intensity eats more battery, you can modify screen timeout with this app and rarely somebody wants to remove an app from their watch as it's not like one would run out of space lol and even then you can do it simply via ADB command which does not modify your system. As I said no much benefit than just geeks geeking out on these small time settings.
Stay Lit Wear only allows you to choose a value up to 60 seconds, but it does the job for me (I only have mine on 15 seconds).
Does it turn off even if you don't turn your wrist? It's a battery saving measure if it's just shutting off when you turn your wrist.
If you want it on longer you can use StayLit Wear.
StayLit Wear might do what you want, although they mention in the description that if you lower your wrist the screen will turn off. Still worth a try though

I'm not aware of an adb command, but this app has options to keep the screen on, including 'unlimited':
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
The Staylit Wear app should do what asking -- keep the watch from going into ambient mode until you drop your arm.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en
StayLit Wear https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight Should be built into WearOS.
Not exactly what you're looking for, but I use the app called StayLit for Wear, and set it to "Infinity+". My screen stays on while I look at it, and turns off when I turn my wrist again.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
StayLitWear (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en) has an Indefinitely setting.
Better is Indefinitely+ which keeps the screen awake while it's facing upwards, but dims it immediately when the screen is facing sideways.
I use StayLit Wear to prevent my watch from timing out when I need it to stay on. It can extend the screen timeout from '5 seconds' to 'indefinitely'.
/u/Pubtastic suggested Staylit Wear.
I just installed it and now I can disable dimming altogether, or set it to turn off after a certain number of minutes.
Edit: I added a link
I'll change the front from light to regular and make it 12 hour(I'll add a 24-hour toggle option in settings). Default screen timeout is 5 seconds on android wear, It's possible to overide this timeout for the watch face but I'll have to look into that. There's also a third party app to change the overall screen timeout: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
StayLit Wear is what you need.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en
Set it to indefinite.
Neither can be controlled in Wear OS natively.
Staylit wear will give you the option to customize the display time.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
Hope this is what you need.
Staylit Wear https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en
You want this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en_US
Battery life will take a dump though.
Use this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
Why it's not a built in setting is anyone's guess, but the app works well.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
You can set it to "Indefinitely" to keep it on.
You can use StayLit Wear (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight) to customize the screen timeout, including setting it to "indefinitely"
Stay Lit Wear allows you to extend how long it stays on, but Bubble Cloud is the better option for battery life.
I found this app. Haven't tried it. StayLit
You can use an app like Staylit Wear to change this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
This works for me. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en_GB
And by the way, thanks for recommending Progression. It's great.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
Has an option for unlimited.
Yeah, it can be finicky. When all else fails, there's:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight&hl=en_US
StayLit Wear: Longer Backlight
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
Oh, ok. I misunderstood you. Then your solution is really stay-lit-wear
Could try this, but it seems that it may also turn the screen off when turning the watch away.

I found this app that bypasses the native always on screen!! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
Staylit Wear has an option for screen timeout to be set to "never".
Is this what you're asking?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.extendedlight
Staylit Wear - $1.54

are you sure about this?
