Another issue with Scoped Storage is that Android/data/package.name is wiped when you uninstall the app.
I use MiXplorer (GPlay) and it can read the internal Android/data directory. Nothing can read my SD/Android/data including Samsung's My Files, and I've resorted to pulling the card out and plugging it into the computer on the rare occasion I need to access it.
If you aren't a programmer it will be a somewhat steep learning curve, but that doesn't mean you can't do it.
You can download the Tasker "source code" for WW Dark Sky from my web site. It does the kind of API lookup, parsing, and pushing of data into Watchmaker that you would need for this. I don't know of an actual tutorial, but an example may be a good start. And I will try to answer questions.
My previous app that did a similar thing using Weather Underground did provide tide data to Watchmaker, but Weather Underground killed their API service, so that is no longer an option. There must be other API services that provide tide data, but you will have to track one down.
Your constant posts demanding the developer "FIX IT" aren't constructive. If there is a problem, send an email to the dev, which can be found in the Google Play store.
You might also want to change your tone. I realize it can be frustrating when the app doesn't work as it should but it's just the weather. Yelling and using excessive exclamation points won't make someone want to do you any favors. It just comes off as extremely rude.
Look out a window or go outside if you need to know that badly.
Got Tasker? I use this to send weather data from https://openweathermap.org/api to a face; Tasker thankfully has been greenlighted for background processing of GPS and what not, so can poll as often as you like and send more customisable data.
AFAIK there's no desktop version of watchmaker.
What I've done that's worked pretty well so far is use Scrcpy to mirror my phone to my pc (over usb or wifi adb), and control it there. Works pretty well, easier than using the touchscreen.
If you're going to be doing a lot of scripting, I've had some success using VSCode with ftp to the phone, editing the script file directly.
Check this out for (non-American) Football: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.pbilton.footballscoreswatchmaker&fbclid=IwAR0gN935O9UlHc0pey0m97r7utv1NFpw7G0RTIIymLkohfH9aT96zz7w4E4
That's not my app so I don't know if it includes MLS.
At one point I was thinking about making an MLS watch face, but I never found a good data source, so I never moved forward on the project.
WW Dark Sky is finally available on Google Play. It is also still available on my web site as before.
I built my own weather-heavy watchface called Orbital Weather. It will work with the data that Watchmaker supplies, but at the time I created it, Watchmaker did not yet support Weather Underground. So I built a phone app that pulls data directly from Weather Underground and passes it to Watchmaker. I cleverly named it WU for WM.
I originally built WU for WM because I wanted to use Weather Underground data on my watchface, but I also discovered that there was a lot of additional weather data available from there. I wanted some of that for my myself, and other people wanted more of it, so I ended up building a lot of that into the app too. That additional data is now the main reason for using the app. (The secondary reason is that there have been occasional problems with the WU feed through Watchmaker, while the app has continued to work.)
Sorry you asked yet? :)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy
These two apps should be installed. The first one is used to transfer your licence. Then the second app linked should be fully featured.
Fyi. The support email is listed in the play store details. They hide it under the heading developer email.
Thanks for the plug! I'm the author. :)
Unfortunately there is no way to push data into the existing tags in Watchmaker, so you it won't help with standard watchfaces unless you modify them. At least modifying them is fairly simple. You just go through and replace the default Watchmaker weather tags with the ones from WU for WM. Nothing else needs to change.
My own Orbital Weather face supports WU for WM directly, and makes use of its extended weather data, but that is probably not what you want.
You might also want to check out this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.pbilton.footballscoreswatchmaker
That's a paid app, but only .99 cents. However, please verify withe the developer that it has MLS info. He's a guy I've communicated with a little bit in the WatchMaker forum over on Google+.
I've given up on using the built-in weather sources, and have worked around it using Tasker.
Every 15 minutes I have Tasker:
It's not simple, but it's a reliable weather source, and has worked well for me
Watchmaker devs: if you want to use Forecast IO directly in the app, here's the page with info about implementing it: https://developer.forecast.io/
If you already bought it it should be in the my apps part of your play store or here's a link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium&hl=en_GB&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dwatchmaker+premium&pcampaignid=APPU_1_ngxeVpPLGcHxPd-PhuAE
Stay Lit Wear only allows you to choose a value up to 60 seconds, but it does the job for me (I only have mine on 15 seconds).
Actually man, I don't pay for a subscription just the ASAP and premium to unlock it.
No subscription needed unless you want some of the watches on their store. But they were all over the web.
You'll need a premium for a custom design. Totally worth it though.
If you're a big division fan, you should check out my design. I'm a huge division fan myself and worked for years on this ;)
I had the same problem, turns out they are hidden by default.
On my phone they are at Android->data->slide.watchFrenzy->files
I used the files app and enabled the show hidden files option to see them.
You can get the files app from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marc.files
Okay. You could try going to this link on a PC and then use adb install the apk file with the watch plugged into your PC
it's actually remarkably simple (and clever ), the line is just a transparent png with the outline ,the gradient is just a gradient image that moves left to right and repeat with the "counter " function ,same with the color .just put edit in the watch and see the components.
to add that gradient with the watch you want you would have to also use a cut out png of the line to cover the gradient and have it move left to right
https://www.photopea.com/ you can make the png elements you need (it's a free online photoshop ) ,have fun
Use Background Eraser on them. A lot of "transparent" PNG's I download, tend not to actually have an alpha (transparency) channel
Most of them would probably still ply 😊
Well, there are a few options, but they all pretty much need access to an API. I'd suggest this route and go with DarkSky API - which is a weather API, but it can also get your locality.
Thankfully, the steps are quite easy.. Once you have an API key.. Split your location (%LOC) into an array (%location) and set a variable with your API key in variable name %apikey
A1: Variable Set [ Name:%darksky_server To:https://api.darksky.net:443 Recurse Variables:Off Do Maths:Off Append:Off ]
A2: Variable Set [ Name:%darksky_path To:forecast/%apikey/%location1,%location2?units=%DS_Units&exclude=minutely Recurse Variables:Off Do Maths:Off Append:Off ]
A3: HTTP Get [ Server:Port:%darksky_server Path:%darksky_path Attributes: Cookies: User Agent: Timeout:10 Mime Type:text/json Output File: Trust Any Certificate:Off ]
A4: JavaScriptlet [ Code:arr = JSON.parse(global("HTTPD"));
var ds_nearest_station = arr.flags.nearest_station; Libraries: Auto Exit:On Timeout (Seconds):45 Continue Task After Error:On ]
Now, you can send %ds_nearest_station to watchmaker (Plugin > Watchmaker > Send Variable) and it becomes {tds_nearest_station} in watchmaker.
I was worried about that. But I think you are right. I think WatchMaker just forwards the text from the API. Here is Weather Underground doc: https://www.wunderground.com/weather/api/d/docs?d=resources/phrase-glossary&_ga=1.97911194.468448707.1487265486
It will probably take me a while, but I'm willing to try. Can you tell me what information you are most interested in? It takes some time to parse each field, so I would rather not do more than I have to. :-}
Take a look at the WU API Documentation and let me know which fields would be most useful to you.
I made myself a watchface that does this (it also gets automatically selected when I'm at the gym using a geofence in tasker). The .watch file is here: mega.nz download link. I love it because as soon as I active my watch via a tilt it starts doing a heartbeat measurement - so I don't need to touch a thing.
The actual LUA I used was on a static image of a Heart I added the following code:
Width = 512 + (.5 * {shr} * math.sin({shr} / 60 * {drss})) Height = 512 + (.5 * {shr} * math.cos({shr} / 60 * {drss}))
You can tweak the maths to change how the "beat" happens, I found this two axis offset beating more pleasing than a simple zoom effect.
Can't think of the code off the top of my head (just woke up) but have you tried a IF THEN statement
https://www.lua.org/pil/4.3.1.html
https://www.tutorialspoint.com/lua/if_else_statement_in_lua.htm
I think you might want the modulo operator.
if({sws}%15==0)
Just a reminder, modulo gives the remainder after division. So sws % 15 == 0
is just asking "is sws a multiple of 15?"
Quick edit: zero is always a multiple of 15 with remainder zero, so you may need to skip that case.
You can use Tasker to create apps for Google Play. I've built several and put them up on Google Play.
Take a look at Tasker: App Creation. It goes through the process of building a signed APK from a Tasker project. If you have questions or run into problems I'd be happy to help.
Yea not sure why the ads are so all over the place via web browser.
It's just a proof of concept, all the code and layers needed are all in the watch.
Converting GIF to PNGs can be done a number of ways; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.m_c8bit.gifframeviewer is one app. Applying transparency is more tedious, as a large GIF will produce a lot of PNGs. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.handycloset.android.eraser can do the transparency.
Then, you change the images in the face to each individual PNG in sequential order, adjust script to accommodate frames and how fast you want them rendered.
this is an app that will track your heart rate continuously."
Beware though ... I uninstalled it because it seemed to be draining the battery on my watch too fast.

The new WatchMaker release will be out soon which will feature many of the new features introduced in widgetopia!
Please download widgetopia from Android using the following link and let us know your feedback :

Did you do an In App Purchase, or, did you buy the Premium APK a while back?
IAP should verify your purchase as soon as you run it. The Premium APK needs to be downloaded and purchase transferred.
Does this one ask you to pay? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium
A good way to start is download WatchAwear - Companion for WatchMaker Premium.
There are a lot of tutorial to get you starting. Good luck!!
I think is a copy of Radii, but without credits...
I made a copy too because is really cool and I wanted in WM, but never published it.
Really cool the heart rate thing btw.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.thedesigncycle.radii
Are you sure? The purchase method was migrated so there is only one actual watchmaker app. If you like me you bought Premium (not IAP), first Install this; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy
this is the "free" one with IAP.
Now, install this; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium
Open latter one and follow instructions.
Beta, yes..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy
WatchMaker 5.6.0 in Beta!
'Gradient Minimal' is now available on WatchAwear. Install by touching the link below.
Install Watch https://www.watchawear.com/watches/watch-faces/download/2-watch-faces/98610-gradient-minimal.html
WatchAwear - Companion App for Watchmaker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=en.wis.watchawear
Buy this one; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium
It'll be eligible for Family library. Then install watchmaker normal.. Open Premium bought and follow instructions.
Ahh, ok. I may be throwing you into the deepend if you're not familiar with it. If you're technical, you'll be right at home. You would however have to be using an Android phone with Watch..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
The idea of this is to covert your GPS to name by using a feature of Tasker. It can Post HTTP data (GPS) to Google and Google (or another Map service) replies with a town in your desired language. This is then sent as a variable to Watchmaker.
I think this is a blame of Google Services. I had a similar issue for a few days but now it's fine. I use this app to watch app updates etc. and yesterday Google Play Services updated on watch and it's been fine.
I did find during the days of stupid, forcing watch onto WiFi did the trick. Disable BT on phone, put watch on WiFi, wait til connected again and send. It's a little slower, but worked solid.
I realize that most people think I'm nuts for wanting as much weather data on my watchface as is there already. However, for those who want that sort of thing, what could be better than even more detail? :-)
Since most of what's on the watchface is presented as analog, I occasionally find myself wanting to know the exact numbers. So I added a new screen that shows a dense text listing of all the weather and astronomical details from the main screen, plus some additional weather info that is not displayed elsewhere.
This is not a standalone app. Watchmaker is required to use it.
You can install it from Google Play or go to my web site for a .watch file and further documentation.
Thank you!
A friend saw the moon phase sub-dial on my Orbital Weather face and said that it would be neat to have something like that as the whole watch face. So I built it and presented it to her as a "hand made" birthday present. :-)
Most of my stuff starts out as a project for me or a friend, but once I've gone to the trouble of building something I like to share it with anyone else who might be interested. My friend felt the same way and asked me to publish it, which I will do as soon as I have the time to package it up for the Play Store.
I will post a note here when it's available.
I doubt it.
The best thing you can do is to export all watches using something like My Watches Companion, tank the BeautifulWatches folder, and reimport just ones you want. I have many copies of watches as I build, and even with 64GB internal, BW folder does get large. I tend to do the clean out every 6 months or so.
If you have root, you can however manage another workaround by creating a bind mount a folder onto the SD card to the internal.
I have released a new version of the Orbital Moon face and finally have it up on the Google Play. You can now select either a 12-hour or 24-hour face. I have also added a text data screen that shows the times for sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset, along with the day of the lunar cycle. Almost all of the features can be turned on or off to suit your preferences.
If you run into any problems with it, or have feedback, please let me know.
thanks. I used this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appfour.wearlauncher&rdid=com.appfour.wearlauncher

Doesn't need to connect to a screen-tap. Can actually replace the "swipe from right" screen that has been Google Fit since the latest WearOS update, which is fine with me because I already had a button on the main screen to open Google Fit.
My Orbital Weather face allows for a lot of color customization, among other things. Last year I got into the spirit of the season and added two Christmas themes to the mix. I'm not sure that even people who use the face actually know they exist, but I thought I'd share. Happy Holidays!
One thing to be aware of... There is no way to override Watchmaker's internal weather tags, so you have to specifically build a face to use outside sources. Adapting an existing face to use outside data isn't hard, but it does require modification. I built my Orbital Weather face to use outside data, if available, and built-in data if not.
And there is currently no standard for how outside data should be passed into Watchmaker. That is one of the things I'm hoping to work on. Not that I have any ability to enforce a standard. :-)
My plan is to build a set of alternate tags that directly correspond to Watchmaker's built-in weather tags. If people will use the same ones in other apps it would allow watchfaces to support multiple sources and weather apps without making any further changes. There will also be other tags for extended weather data that is not available from Watchmaker, but it may be harder to standardize that.
This watch face. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00193CVWW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_vvgUCb8BPRP1C
No scuba bezel. Numerical compass bezel. Small UTC hand that points to the 24 hr numbers. Zoomable where compass ring disappears and watch gets slightly bigger. AOD green hands, 12 hr numbers, 24 hr numbers, second hand, date, and compass . 3 hotlink buttons for apps of my choosing. Sweeping second hand, buttons to reset hands to stopwatch and reset.
You can use automate ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate ) and pass variables to the watchmaker plugin.
It's a workflow tasker. The best tasker I've ever seen. I'm already using it to pass bitcoin's price to my watch.
In the plugin block in automate you will write the variable name like this : %variable
And in watchmaker like this : {tvariable}
Now you can use lua conditioning like that : ({tvariable}>0) and "00ff00" or "ff0000"
BTW : 00ff00 = green, ff0000 = red. I used them as a result if true or false.
Now I just don't know how reactive watchmaker is regarding the refresh time of these variables. I know that automate is instantaneous. There is a block to detect when music is playing IIRC
First, the difference is your Netflix is a service. That's what your playing for. Their is also software connected to it, but that's not what you're paying for. You're paying for the service.
With WatchMaker you're buying a piece of software that was designed and built to run on a specific computer (phone).
Another analogy: If I bought Microsoft Word for my Windows computer, I wouldn't expect that if I switched to a Mac computer that Microsoft would give me a Mac copy of Word.
I would expect that any Word documents I made on my Windows version of Word would also work in my Mac version of Word. And this should be the case with watch faces as well.
Second, * The Play store page for watchmaker has an email link right on it. * Alex Curren usually has a pinned post on the Google+ page listing the newest version where he's also listed as owner, so it would be very easy to + him in a question there. * There's a facebook page were you can also contact the developer.
Glad you got it working!
I learned an awful lot building my monster of a watch face (Orbital Weather) and received some very useful advice along the way. It makes me happy when I can continue the tradition.
Have a wonderful holiday season!
Thanks for the face, it looks great. If you are looking for an inexpensive leather band option I got this band and it fits very well. The only downside is that it does not have the quick release pins so it isn't as easy to change as some other bands. Also it is a little short so it may be too small if you have large wrists. I removed 4 links from my stainless steel band and had 3 extra holes left on the band though so it isn't tiny, just a bit shorter than standard.
The main app now is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium is the license app and can be used to transfer old licenses to the main app
Well I've been having issues with Watchmaker Premium for a while and you just prompted me to have another look. When I opened the app up it took me to a screen saying that it wasn't supported anymore and to download another Watchmaker app due to Android 2.0. This is the app it said to download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium
Android wear 2.0 isn't available for my Moto 360, but I still use Wear Mini Launcher for its ability to hide and reorder things. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.npi.wearminilauncher
Edit: I've just confirmed I can launch it via a touch action in WatchMaker, and not just with a pull from the left edge.
Do you still have the Android phone? If so, you might look to see if there is an iOS version of My Watch Companion: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.japplis.watchmakercompanion
That app on Android lets you backup and restore large numbers of watches at a time. In theory, if an iOS version of the app exists, you might be able to backup from Android and then restore the files in iOS.
That would be the only way that I know of to do it in bulk.
He put that on the play store like 6 months ago. Here you go
But yeah, I'm with you. His is by far the best Pip Boy watchface around. I'd suggesting modding it to show the actual watch in dim mode rather than the kinda lame ambient mode thing he has, but up to you.
This - there's not a built in gallery or repo of the faces, but if you visit these two sites, there are a virtual ton. There are also several high quality faces in the Play Store, such as BLV's Retro face, and sites such as BadApps which also have fantastic faces that are used through Watchmaker.
I have no idea why the link does not work :/ Maybe im to tired to see the difference but it does not work for me neither, but this one does! Sorry for taking so long!
