Oh indeed, I wouldn't start counting the time until it had settled. These tests were being done over a period of the last 6 months.
Using this app you can see app updates (including the Google background ones) - and once all core updates done, let see.
In any case effects were almost immediate. SW3 paired with 8 or 9 and off the bat it was notably slower. H2 going the other way (6 or 7). When paired up with their ideal partners, again, off the bat a notable improvement.
Am still running more tests as I actually want to know WTF this is all about and my being me with OCD, I will!
You can view all of the apps on the phone Android Wear app (go to settings, click your device, and then watch storage (it may take a bit to load all of the apps)). You can't uninstall them from there unfortunately.
You can however uninstall any non-system/non-sideloaded apps from the app called Wear Apps Manager (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wearablesoftware.wearappmanager). Note that if you delete an app from Wear Apps Manager it also deletes it from your phone.
You can also try this app, it helps keeping your installed apps updated. it updates my apps (sometimes) automatically on the watch. I own 3 moto 360 1st gen (all colors) and a sony smartwatch 3 all work great using the above method (sideload via adb) and the above app. good luck!
i had this today on Wear 1.5, i think it was a Google play services update as this app showed such. After, it's been fine.
I think this is a blame of Google Services. I had a similar issue for a few days but now it's fine. I use this app to watch app updates etc. and yesterday Google Play Services updated on watch and it's been fine.
I did find during the days of stupid, forcing watch onto WiFi did the trick. Disable BT on phone, put watch on WiFi, wait til connected again and send. It's a little slower, but worked solid.
Look at what apps are synced to your watch.
