The real answer is get a v3. The battery cam's have too many problems such that if you are near power, you should DEF use v3. Run a cord. https://www.amazon.com/Extension-Compatible-WyzeCam-NestCam-Charging/dp/B07QPHKNN6/
The camera only has 4 small IR lights built into it so distance isnt its friend. I have looked into buying an auxiliary IR light meant to light up 200ft to brighten up my backyard at night. Something like this
Univivi IR Illuminator 90 Degree Wide Angle 8-LEDs IR Infrared Light Security Cameras. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075F7NV56/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SagVCbGJST4EB
It's cheaper at Amazon, $42.
Wyze Cam V2 1080P Indoor Smart Home Camera with Wyze Sense Starter Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R3H3N97/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_uoYQDbDX7E5HB
I hope this isn't the announcement. I saw it in Home Depot weeks ago.
I’ve had two of my WyzeCam v2’s mounted outside in this little housing for well over a year in North Carolina (maybe close to 2 now? It was whenever v2’s first came out) and they both still work great. Heavy rains, ice storms, and blisteringly-hot-and-humid summer weather still haven’t killed them yet.
depending on how far you need to run the wires, I use this flat cable https://www.amazon.com/Extension-Compatible-WyzeCam-NestCam-Charging/dp/B07QPHKNN6
I run them out the window, and close the window on them. The power adapter is in the house.
Last week I cut a hole in the back of my case to daisy chain two together. After that I was going to 3D print one but I searched Amazon and found this:
Wyze Cam Outdoor Mount, Upgraded Protective Cover and 360 Degree Adjustable Wall Mount for Wyze Cam V2 Indoor Outdoor Home Security Camera (White, 3 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083SD3BGY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_cIJgFbDJ0WX3V
It just came in today so I haven’t tested it, but I can confirm that both plugs can fit in the the back of the camera when it is in the case. If it holds up in the sun and rain, I plan on buying a couple more for the rest of my outdoor cameras I’m putting around a construction site
> I have a older home
Maybe you have some other problems with your old home. Also, 2 transformers do not come anywhere close to $623. Maybe you should get your money back or hire someone more qualified. I think you're getting ripped off.

*Cough*: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L9X9V57
I used these from Amazon. They aren’t weather proof but they help and I have my cameras tucked under the eves of my house.
It's on Amazon now, but 'temporarily out of stock'
https://www.amazon.com/Indoor-Outdoor-Camera-Viewing-Assistant/dp/B08R59YH7W
You need the C wire to power the thermostat.
You can buy an external C wire power supply, but, for those, you need to plug it in someplace close to the thermostat. Here is an example of what they look like https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Transformer-Honeywell-Thermostat-Fyve/dp/B075PN6NCV It really depends on your setup, and where the power source is, you could run it through the wall like the other wires as well.
You can also use the C wire adapter that Wyze gives you, and run a C wire to the thermostat.
I used this USB lamp adapter for my camera, and it's been working great for a few months. Easier than having to take the light off, but definitely not rated for outdoor use. Then again, neither is the wyze, haha.
I've got all three of my pans mounted upside down and they're also outside exposed to the South Texas heat and humidity (currently lots of rain too) and so far they're holding up like a champ. However, they're mounted using these things (3Pack Wall Mount for Wyze Cam Pan 360... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DNVHHH4?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf) and not Command strips.
> 100% Legit, and an ultra mega secure company…
Right... Wyze thought they were 'ultra mega secure' as well before they found out they weren't.
That also looks like a referral code in the link. If people want to use them, they should just go to https://privacy.com/signup
We have a sign similar to this. It gets the message across. It's right next to the doorbell camera. These are on Amazon for $5

is there an enclosed porch light outside?
I use one of these to power it:
https://www.amazon.com/Power-LampCharger-Adapter-Charging-Station/dp/B07P9SDHRY
for another area, I use one of these to waterproof the usb plug at the end of an extension cord

Fire 8 plus, with the show mode dock. I've set one up for a client, it's fast, and it works VERY well with tinycam, and/or pulling up a specific cam on demand.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X6C9RMF is more info from Amazon.
The biggest thing that I see that would make it better than Wyze is, they will have a separate device where the cam will be able to store clips from 10 different cams, and you use a USB flash drive for local storage.
Think of it as a mini NAS for your cams. It is limited to 64GB though, but don't know if it is a hard limit or not. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084RQ6MHJ
Been saying for a long time that Wyze should have made a device hub like this...
I know the hualai name is associated with the Wyze app on Google Play. Possibly related to the company that makes the original app/tools Wyze uses to customize their app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hualai&hl=en_US
Thanks for your understanding! ThroughTek provides APIs for us for IoT streaming solution. They know nothing about our users, our app, our firmware, or cloud solution. All they know is an ID (unique per device) which connects the phone and device together. We did make sure that ThroughTek was ISO-27001 certified before we selected them as a vendor, which is in line with certification used by other cloud services providers, including AWS. Their ISO-27001 certification was issued by BSI (British Standard Institution) and the current expiration date is 09/07/2020. Using IFTTT you can create notifications for Smoke and CO only. One such example: https://ifttt.com/applets/g9pw7dHu-wyze-smoke-detected

IFTTT (IF THIS, THEN THAT) is a 3rd party service; sign up here https://ifttt.com/
It lets you connect other services into it as inputs "IF statements", that trigger other services "THAT statements". If you connect to Wyze, then you can have a Wyze motion alert as an IF that triggers something else; like turn on your Hue lights. You can also setup certain output Wyze events, like turn Off motion alerts if one of your other services triggers something. The possibilities are endless, and it allows you to do neat things with Wyze that aren't inherently built into the Wyze platform.
Make sure you use an actual SD card formatter (https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/) and not the built in Windows or MacOS tools as they didn't seem to work for me when I upgraded my cameras to support RTSP.
I got one of these for my Wyze Camera. Has a built-in flood light with a motion detector and an outdoor mount for the camera with a USB plug. Works well. Very bright.
Thanks for the pics!
Anyone find the Wyze's suppler for the Wyze car? It looks similar to this one but it's defiantly not the same board inside.
^Please ^note ^the ^linked ^car ^is ^crap. ^When ^I ^tried ^to ^return ^it ^they ^just ^refunded ^me.
This sounds like the sd card is faulty, which it very well could be.For 6.50 your problem very well could be solved. Just get another card.
I would just go with High endurance cards.
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Endurance-microSDXC-Adapter-Monitoring/dp/B07P14QHB7
It should hold up fine, since these are also used in dashcams, and it gets VERY hot in a closed car.
Which cam is this for anyway? Since, if it is for the Wyze Outdoor cam, then do not even bother with a microSD card.
Yep.
Zsirue rechargeable motion sensor lights with magnet. 3 pack for $10.99.
I was looking for the same thing.
Can I buy only these metal things in bulk? https://www.reddit.com/r/wyzecam/comments/le7rup/can_i_buy_only_these_metal_things_in_bulk/
I bought Fender Washers and Gorilla Double Sided Mounting Tape.
This is my go-to mounting tape:

I have my Wyze Doorbell running with this power supply currently. My home also didn’t have previous wiring so we had to get creative to hide it the best possible from the nearest power source.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DJ7RHS5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_4MS82GEQH3QSV14J46KV
Get yourself one of these; you won't be sorry. I love mine and the time I am posting this, it has a $10 off coupon.
Yea, move far away.
But if you want to play around - https://www.amazon.com/Drinking-Bird-The-Original/dp/B00494GXUY - although he will see it. If you are into electronics you could build something that would spin something in the room in the range of the camera that it would detect as motion and send an alert each time. For the sound just have an auto loop mp3 play that has a sound every so many seconds.
You could unplug it every time he isnt home.
You could, you know, MOVE.
There are adapters specifically for smart doorbell installs that don't use existing wiring, like this https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Doorbell-LANMU-Supply-16-4ft/dp/B07Y9D9TCC
At some point the wires from this transformer will need to physically connect to the Wyze doorbell, so how that happens depends on your house and how many holes you want to drill into it. The Wyze doorbell chime just plugs into a normal wall outlet, so nothing special needed there.
This is the panel: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0721PJYTY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_RjaTFb3M97BQ9
Specs may be in the user manual, but they’re not jumping out at me.
The panel is plugged in all the time. The Outdoor Cam doesn’t record continuously to save battery.
If you wanted to record continuously outside, I’d buy a generic panel, a USB power bank that can charge and discharge simultaneously, and a Wyze Cam V3 (coming in December).
If you have an android device, I highly recommend grabbing tinyCam Monitor. I can still view all my devices despite my Wyze device list being empty at the moment.
I just purchased this BOX from Amazon. I'm not sure it will fit well, but thought it would give me something to mess with. I am also going to purchase a small 12v cooling fan.
Without seeing a wider shot of your front door, looks like you'll need to invest in one of the cam covers on Amazon to protect the cam from rain. https://www.amazon.com/Frienda-Security-Weather-Resistant-Against/dp/B07CQW53XS
This is entirely do-able. If you're comfortable with splicing wires together just take an existing USB cable and splice it in-place to the DC cord. If you want a more polished solution search amazon/ebay/aliexpress for things like "female usb A to female DC".
You'll get lots of wild results, but out there does exist a non-standard polished adapter for you to use. At the end of the day it's really more worth it to splice.
Don't bother. They're not bad but you pay $$$ for the cams and the subscription.
Quite a few of us are using Eufy cams now. Their 2k indoor cams are only about 10 bucks more than Wyze but require no subscription (AI processing for people/pets is done on the cam itself), SD card, much much better image quality and low light quality, MUCH better alerts, etc.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08571VZ3Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If it were me, I'd epoxy a 1/4" nut to the bottom (standard tripod mount size) and then secure it with an action-cam suction grip kinda like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XT41X8D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1uHCFbMG3N4FG
I would also suggest maybe tying a "leash" to the device and then closing it in the window just in case the grip ever gave out. That way the camera doesn't tumble to the ground and get damaged.
I have 3 of these on 3 sides of my house. A single bulb does not make it look like daylight, but does a very good job for the price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075ZYG89D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Vq2jFbCB0ATWX
I put my regular Wyze cams in an external enclosure. No problems whatsoever. There are plenty to choose from on Amazon, but this is the one I used.
That's not totally weatherproof, but mine have stood up well to being rained on. One is under a 3" trim piece on my garage and the other is under my balcony. Both get wet every time it rains, but they don't have rain pouring directly on them.

Try Amazon? I bought mine through Wyze.com and sent another to my brother through Amazon. Mine arrived yesterday and his arrived today. Both were ordered 5/12.
Here you go: I have a light socket adapter in my porch light that has a USB plug on it. I got it from amazon for $10-$15. Then I ran the WyzeCam to it and simply made sure the cable didn’t hang (so someone couldn’t grab it and rip it down). Here are all the links to recreate this for your home.

for my SmartThings solution, the water sensor causes a separate device (The Siren) to alarm. I also get a text immediately.
I suppose IFTTT is risky as far as reliability, but does it have the ability to see your Wyze alert, and then trigger a special text?
here is a possibility https://ifttt.com/applets/GAbJ7vtH-play-an-audio-alert-on-my-phone-when-the-wyze-contact-sensor-opens
I sure did! I think the last update to the app broke a lot of features (especially playback of the 12sec clips). At least it did on my Pixel 2.
I use IFTTT now. Literally takes 3-4 minutes to setup and has worked flawlessly for a few weeks now.
Perhaps a compromise here would be the ability to fetch saved videos programmatically.
Homeboy cameras have a nice IFTTT applets that allow for videos to be sent to any other IFTTT service.
This would effectively allow users who want more flexibility to archive or otherwise deal with video themselves while not necessarily increasing the complexity of how video is stored by Wyze.
Functionality like this would have some egress bandwidth considerations for Wyze (read: cost) though if it’s really that impactful, make an IAP for a small fee or somesuch. I’d pay for the ability to have more flexibility with the videos, and I’d pay again to extend clips to 30 seconds or longer.
There’s a lot of add-on pricing models that could make this type of feature (and others like RTSP) compelling for users and Wyze alike.
My guess is they use the IFTTT - https://ifttt.com/ So when they come home maybe there phones presence sensor says there home which then via IFTTT sends a reboot command to the camera automatically.
Using IFTTT would be my suggestion but it doesn't look like it has disabling sound detection yet. If you'd off sound detection then you could use IFTT to stop motion detection/notifications when you are at home.
Sometimes when memory cards fail, they fail to write protected. This way you can recover your data before there is further corruption. Sometimes the card will look and act like you are modifying the data, but after you remove the card and put it back in, the data will still be in the previous state. This only happens sometimes though, most of the time when memory cards fail, they will just be dead or unformatable.
Use this tool to test your card by doing a full format. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
I do agree that Wyze should tell people when something went wrong, like can't be able to write to microSD card, and to log power failures and such, but, that seems to be way down their priority list to implement.
As for your microSD card, if this utility (free) https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/ doesn't work on the card, then the card is toast, and you need a new one. I doubt it is the cam, since it worked before...
Format the microSD card with this https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
I also doubt the cams are bricked, there is something odd going on though, lots of people have had their microSD cards bricked, and the size doesn't make a difference, or the brand, it can happen on known good cards as well.
What causes this, no idea, seems to be some kind of a electrical issue, maybe a spike, but who knows.
no problem.

try a restart of the camera after you insert it (either from advanced menu in app or just power it down and back up)

One thing to try is to format the card on the pc using the official sd card formatter:
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/

You can also try using another micro sd card you might have to see if the card is bad (but usually the cards are not bad).

But if you find that it still won't see the card you might have bad card reader in the cam (I had one, seems there was a bad batch)... if that is the case let wyze support know and they will send you out a replacement.
generally here is what I would do:

1: pull out the sd cards and make sure the cameras on are on the latest firmware (select camera, settings sprocket, device info, "check update" next to firmware version)

2: format the card(s) in another device (pc, mac, etc, some recommend using the official sd card formatter but I tend to just use the built in format command on windows)

now you can start testing... if they seem fine good... maybe older firmware with card problems was the issue, maybe older firmware corrupted the format on the sd card, etc... maybe the cards were just badly formated from the start....

if it still happens:
you either have bad camera card readers (it happens), bad cards (i suppose its possible), or both

to test if the card readers are the issue use *any other* sd cards and see if they work fine... if they do try those cards in the pc to see if they work fine... if they don't work in the pc and "other" cards work fine in the camera do a warranty replacement on the cards

if *any other cards* also fail in the cameras and the cards seem fine it is likely the card reader in the cameras... do a warranty replacement on the cameras

and of course if *any other cards* fail and the cards fail on other devices to replacements for the cameras and the cards.

if your firmware isn't up to date that will likely fix the issue... there were a *LOT* of sd card issues being brought up in here a few firmwares back .. and it could just be a bad card reader on the cams, seems to be a few of those (I even had one).
also the card might just need a low level format and start working, so one thing to try at the start is to format it on pc or mac or whatever (fat32) then pop it back in the cam

I have seen the official sd formatter recommended many times might be worth a shit, but I tend to just use the windows format when dealing with cards in general.

Normally, when strange errors happen with the microSD card, I format them with https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/ and not using the App.
Also, pop the microSD card into a computer, and see if there are any files there, if so, play them with VLC (free) and see if they are OK.
That said, I would swap the working cam with one of the other ones, and see if it works OK or not.
Try this
I just had to do this. I just have a transformer connected to a outlet nearby which feeds my cam, but personally after having installed it, I would suggest something like this though as its fairly plug and play.
The downside is that you have a cable exposed but its a lot easier than what I did with cutting a whole in the wall for an outlet box to house my transformer.
Otherwise, you should be able to use a standard doorbell transformer to supply power without any resistors. I haven't seen any issues with mine
Hope this helps.
I have just brought it into the house to charge it. But I just got this solar panel so I dont have to go there often. The camera is mounted to a tree in the back yard.
The camera is wireless by the way and holds charge pretty well so I usually only have to charge it once a month or less depending on activity
I know this is the Cam Plus team, if this is not appropriate for this can you point me in the right direction?
I have a Wyze v3 cam... I would like to set it up pointing at my driveway and have lights come on (if it’s dark out) when the v3 detects motion - have them stay on for some length of time then go out. There is a product on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Wasserstein-Floodlight-Charger-Mount-Compatible/dp/B08Y1737KJ/ref=sr\_1\_5
it’s currently $60 - it has its own motion detection adding to the cost I'm sure and another point of failure. Plus I would rather not add more lights if I don’t have to – I would like to be able to use my existing single switch exterior garage door lights. But they also must continue to work as a regular switched light.
Does anyone know if there is anything to accomplish this? Maybe a smart switch?
I want the V3 cam turn the lights on (if it’s dark out) then off after some time I set (1 min, 5 min, 10 min for example)
I used an old phone for this, but it was a bit unreliable and the hotspot kept dropping out - not sure if this was the phone or the signal.
If you want reliability, I would opt for a dedicated device - something like this. https://www.amazon.com/KuWFi-Unlocked-Partner-Wireless-Caribbean/dp/B074J2T9Y2/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=sim+card+hotspot&qid=1626653493&sr=8-4
These are the ones I saved in my shopping cart the last time I saw a similar question and answer: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08XQ8T6FZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_GV3HQT0RJSFQZ4BKATDV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Spotlight draws in bigger insects. But they are not detected as person, at least. We get mostly spiders, I keep a tennis ball on the end of a 7 foot tree branch at the ready for easy web/spider removal, as we want them to get rid of mosquitoes, we just place them somewhere else.
Having a spotlight located away form the cam is your best bet. Now you try a extension cord for that spotlight.
lol. Bounced around a little bit. Currently switched to this cause its got a little more dry of a look. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9O9WD2/ref=redir\_mobile\_desktop?\_encoding=UTF8&aaxitk=af03e975925733d1ee59552d1fd0df60&hsa\_cr\_id=9577945360001&pd\_rd\_plhdr=t&pd\_rd\_r=d65ef12a-2d08-4daa-bb26-5a1f59d813ba&pd\_rd\_w=t2Onm&am...
Samsung pro endurance. I've had one in my dashcam for ~3 years in Texas and I park outside uncovered. I format it monthly. Amazon link
I have been using these with great success:
Also, while a lot of people opt for cards with larger capacities than the Wyze recommended 32gb, I find that 32gb holds several days worth of continuous video.
These come already formatted. But there may be times when you'll want to reformat it. Very easy in the app.
I use this 20 foot flat cable and run it through the garage window, and close the garage window on it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QPHKNN6/
and then i plug one camera into the next camera. So one wire out the window feeds 2 cameras.
On that link, don't use this brand/type (round black wire), they suck and will not deliver enough power, will eventually fail, both ours did and seller will NOT refund.
I popped one of these puppies into a new V3 right out of the packaging and it worked perfectly.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0887GP791/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Though the card costs almost as much as the cam, I can get several days of continuous recording out of it.
I'm personally a fan of my Dahua but they do tend to be on the spendier side. Amcrest gets really good reviews as well, and they have a few in the sub $50 range, including ones that have PTZ.
Similar with PTZ - low light sensors (though not 'starlight' technically)
This one is a bit more but includes a starlight sensor
Note: Higher MP isn't always better. Yes my Dahua are 4k technically but their lowlight - even though they're 'starlight' - aren't as good as 1080p models as the more dense the resolution the worse low light you inherently have (when talking apples to apples in terms of optic/sensor sizes)
But also one reason Wyze can sell for a little less is because their business model encourages things like subscribing to CamPlus which is likely far more profitable for them. I suppose that does make the Wyze Cam v3 somewhat 'cheaper' - but I'd also say you get more with something like an Amcrest.
All you need is a 7.4v, 2600 mAh battery pack that will fit. It doesn't have to be identical. You can change the connector if you have to.
Here is an example from Amazon.
I don't think it will fit but keep looking. I don't have one here to measure.
I used this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IGIT09A to mount it flush against the window. It's been holding up well. I cut off the tabs from the sticky part, used 4 strips.
Also, turn off the IR lights on the camera. The V3 is sensitive enough to not really require them. They just reflect off the glass and make things worse.
On a computer running an Android emulator, like Nox Player, BlueStacks, or ARC Welder. I use BlueStacks, and the Wyze app has worked perfectly, though tinyCam Pro crashes too often. I haven't figured out if config changes fix the crashing.
tinyCam Pro has an internal web server, which you can get at through anything with a web browser. It can also livestream to an RTMP server, or cast to Chromecast devices.
Your link looks a little messed up. A direct link would be:
Indeed! Could swear I searched for Wyze sensor and only found a single push button that required cutting the sensor up and soldering but now I see a ton of results!
Definitely overthought and designed. Was thinking of making it kind of similar to the light panel sliding dimmer switches and in the end it's almost similar dimensions to work with a standard light panel, though a custom face plate could take care of that too.
If it helps, I used these adhesive-backed Scotch strips to mount the Wyze circle magnet to the soffit.
3M Scotch All-Weather EZPass iPass Fastlane Toll Fasteners, 8 Sets of 1 Inch x 3 Inches Strips, Clear (RFD7090) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JDSSAWU/
I plan to install a v3 outside soon too. I have a GFCI outlet nearby with a weatherproof in-use cover on it (https://www.amazon.com/Taymac-MM420C-Single-Non-Metallic-Weatherproof/dp/B00JU532B0) but it doesn't have USB. There is enough room for the Wyze power brick and USB cable when the cover is closed so that's what I'm going to do. Will run the USB cable, and extension if needed, under the siding up to my camera.
I had a few Sandisk cards give me problems about a year or so ago. I switched to 32GB Samsung Evo in a 5 pack from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NP96DX5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I've used about 4 of the packs (20 cards) with no problems.
That was a literal question. If you expect it to last more than a few years, it will end up being more expensive than other established options from reputable irrigation brands: https://www.amazon.com/Orbit-B-hyve-57925-8-Station-Controller/dp/B07DJ628XH/
I have a eufy baby monitor and I love it. High res clear large display, and a huge battery that literally lasts days. My old Motorola monitor would last a couple hours on audio only, was super annoying to bring down the charger every night. I now leave the eufy monitor on video and by the time we're ready to go to bed it the battery may have dropped one notch.

If by vandalism you mean people running up and ripping them off the wall... then there are a few options.
Best option would be via screwed in, 'permanently' affixed, tri-pod mounts. They show this style of mount at this point in their video so i would imagine they'll offer it as an accessory at some point down the road. But...you can get 2 for $8.99 before current coupon on amazon now.
This is how we have all our cams mounted outside. Would highly recommend as you don't lose range of adjustment and nobody can simply run up and rip it off the magnet.
Now, if by vandalism you mean people running up and spray painting or throwing something at them...then not yet. You'll need to wait for wyze to drop a case or for 3rd parties to produce them once they have their hands on them.
Same goes for further weather protection. But ip65 is more than enough for what the outdoors will throw at them. Would I plug one in and place it down a clogged storm drain to check for an issue? No... but snow and rain are fine.
I just bought the August smart lock+connect on Amazon. It was on sale then got a 20% off coupon. Made it $170 before tax. It's great, no subscription. Uses existing lock and can still use key if you want. I'd highly recommend it. August Smart Lock Pro + Connect,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0752V8D8D?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Edit: looks like the price went up.
I turn off IR and use an IR light I purchased from Amazon.
You can buy one this from amazon
GE Polarized Handy Plug, 2 Pack, Bulb Adapter, Convert Light Socket to Outlet, Easy-to-Install, UL Listed, Black, 54276 https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B002DN6QX2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_x2oSDbM8D4H57
/u/Clapyourhands2and4 - it works! The light turned on so quickly that I thought something was wrong! Fractions of a second, and instantly the light is on.
Freaking amazing.
I went with these two devices:
My only problem now is what to do with my "spare" Wyze bulbs that I can no longer use with my motion sensors...
I have two of these and they’ve survived over a year through a hurricane, blazing hot temperatures, and sub zero temperatures and are still going strong.
One piece of advice - some micro USB cables with fatter ends won’t fit in the Wyze Cam itself. If you need a long micro USB cable, I can confirm that these fit (albeit snugly): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DLRJC74/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_O4NFFbZHGR8GZ
VHB and “scotch tape” shouldn’t be used in the same sentence. VHB is not going to come off without tools and a lot of force and heat. Don’t use it in a situation that’s not permanent.
I also recommend getting “adhesive primer” liquid for the VHB. They come in single use tubes.
This is the one I am going to try. It’s a while new camera, so not sure how well it will work
170°Wide Angle Lens for Wyze Cam V2 V1 and Ismart Spot Camera, 3.6M Focal Length, Can Work with Any Wyze Case Cover and Mount(1 Pack) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B082NN7LR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KURvFbXC0C2E2
But the end of the lense housing on this and the actual Wyze camera is swappable.
I had a 64GB SanDisk Ultra that lasted about 19 months of 24/7 HD recording. It was never outside or in any excessively hot or humid areas. SanDisk denied the warranty claim because that version doesn’t cover use in security cams. The High Endurance version is covered for failure with that use though and only about $1 more on Amazon.
I have another 128GB Ultra that’s still going strong after 16 months.
Yes 20. Search on amazon sd cards. The recommend gb is 32. So 20 bucks gets you that and more.

It doesnt need to be super high end recording 4k crazy fast. It's just 1080p video
I use this app which hasn't failed me yet, very user friendly, etc. Then if the file is too large to share or has any issues with where I want to share it specifically, I'll upload it to YouTube, set it as "unlisted" and then I can share the link anywhere, it's hidden on YouTube unless you specifically share the link.
It sounds like the cache is being shown to other apps. Just download Nomedia, and use it to hide those folders from your photo gallery.

One thing you can check would be for wifi interference. You can use a wifi scanner app for your phone (I really like Wifi Analyzer on Android, it's free and open source) and see if there are e.g. a bunch wifi networks on the same channel as yours.

I use that wireless motion sensor plug to do similar things. The sensor is outside of my garage. When someone is coming up the driveway, the TV and soundbar(both plugged into the indoor plug) in my kitchen starts playing random things at maximum volume to simulate someone being home.
You can get a 9.8 ft. Usb extension cable for about $5. AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable - A-Male to A-Female - 9.8 Feet (3 Meters) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NH11PEY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_WiSLCbH8WYESZ

I'm getting this in the US as well. It's not working on my home Wifi, I tried several VPN locations, I found one on TigerVPN in Atlanta that seems to work pretty consistently today. It's definitely kind of hit or miss though, I think there's just some random network issues.
