This is a pretty decent IP camera client. They've got a big list of supported cameras, and I got mine working with it even though it wasn't on the list. There's also a free version.
If you have an android device, I highly recommend grabbing tinyCam Monitor. I can still view all my devices despite my Wyze device list being empty at the moment.
good cheap IP security cam as well. TinyCam will get you up an running with local/network video block recording, remote picture/LED/microphone/speaker/video capabilities, and SMS/email alerts with video/picture attachments if motion is detected. i have an old 2013 Moto G i put hidden in my bookshelf facing the front door and window while away for a weekend. you gotta do some work and setup a local server on your home PC for every feature but nothing you can't figure out as a sunday morning project.
if you have network attached storage and desktop at home you can turn it into a security camera that can send notifications to you as a text with pictures/video when motion is detected. i have a moto g i got for free ($25 off $20 at best buy) running tinycam pro that records a 4GB block of video to my NAS, and will text me if something triggers the motion. i can then control it with an app on my nexus 6p and view live video with sound, take pictures, turn on the LED, and speak over the speaker.
it's not too much work, i set it up in a morning knowing nothing about the process. The app has tutorials for setting up everything on a PC in the house to run as a server, just required patiently following directions and testing. i really only use it a couple times a year we're away for a weekend since usually someone is home since GF works nights and i work days in one of the safest towns in the country.
No unfortunately it's Android and Google TV only. For iOS the better one I could find was https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ipcams-ip-camera-viewer/id1045600272 but I gave up and went back to my camera's official app. Wish they would make tinycam for ios already. Here's the Google play link if you need: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alexvas.dvr&hl=en_US&gl=US
Given that kindle is an Android device, you should be able to get an apk and install tiny cam: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alexvas.dvr&hl=en_US&gl=US
The actual record, motion, etc. logic is probably better handled by an outside service like frigate / HA and not the tablet itself.
Hello!
Thank you for your suggestion and contribution!
Just to understand, do you mean to use this app?
Thank you for your help and attention!
I'm sorry for any inconvenience!
If you're an Android user, you should check out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alexvas.dvr (and the Pro version as well). Many great features and it connects to Wyze cameras without issues or special firmware.
I’ve got the Pro version, but the free version has all the same features just ad supported. It’s on sale a few times a year for 50% off or more.
Which phone are you using? We got the HD 8 Plus on sale from Amazon Black Friday for $75, so not bad for a baby monitor.
A decent fan, while you can still get one, or better cooling if you can afford it, cold you can deal with, a hot summer with a baby is miserable. A soft or adjustable light, indirect lamp or something that won't wake your baby when you do your 115th check of the night. I'd recommend something pink or red.
We just used a D-link IP cam as a baby monitor, hooks upto the phones with Tinycam Monitor, you can use it as audio only and have it run in the background. Still working after 6 years :)
Although you cannot manage the WYZE camera's via your ChromeOS, you can view them via TinyCam.
Just add a new camera, brand Wyze Labs, camera model Wyze Cam or Wyze Cam Pan. Protocol: Cloud. Enter your username and password. Done.
If you have multiple camera's, go to the advanced settings and change the channel number.
Try Tinycam. I use it to stream my IP cam when I get alerts.

If you don't have a static IP you will probably need to set up some kind of dynamic dns service though.
Not sure if you can do that on it but have you tried tinyCam? It's the best app I've used for IP Cameras.

You get a lot more features with the pro version as well.

Maybe something like this? It's the best IP camera viewer app I've found on any platform. I don't know how to set the iPhone to work with it though, but as long as you get mjpeg stream out of iPhone it will work with tinycam
TinyCam Pro. This can not only detect motion, but objects and sound. It's also a Tasker plugin.
I also use a foscam with virtually no trouble at all. The best app to watch our listen with that I found was tinycam for Android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alexvas.dvr
Have you tired the tinycam app?
Do you have an android device available? Have you tried the tinycam app?
Maybe TinyCam on an android device?
Sounds like a Dahua NVR - is it only HDMI and RJ45 plugged into the back of the NVR (as opposed to something like BNC)? If so, that means the camera is an IP camera. You should be able to find either the camera or NVR (or both) using ONVIF.
There are many ways to do ONVIF discovery, although if you're on Windows I'd definitely recommend OnvifDeviceManager, and if on Android I'd recommend TinyCam.

Nope. Free version does continuous 24/7 streaming. The app is great imo. tinycam free
Yes, I'd use TinyCam. Pro version has awesome Tasker support and from here can upload to Dropbox and others.
Have you looked into tinycam? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alexvas.dvr
I've used this one briefly, but haven't touched it in a while.
