I personally use Privateinternetacces. Semantics is, roughly speaking, the study of language.

But colloquially, it's used in arguments when two people are arguing over nothing more than using two different words to describe the same thing. In other words, they're saying the same thing on both sides of the argument, they're just using different words to describe that identical thing.

Here, the argument is semantic because they both agree that the dome is a place for people to battle to the death. The only thing that is different is the word choice for the description of the dome. Hence, a semantic argument. (Many, many arguments on the Internet come down to semantics.)

EB White was one of two authors of a book on english grammar and word usage called "The Elements of Style." The book spends a good bit of time discussing why one way of saying something is better than another way of saying something. So, the book is concerned with semantics.

So, Rick is referencing the fact that they're just arguing over word usage and not the understood meaning behind the words (hence, semantic) and insulting the other person by calling him EB White (implying he is overly obsessed with word choice). But also, tellingly, I took it as a subtle way of saying, "Okay, your word is better, but you're annoying for pointing it out, so go fuck yourself."

I remember everyone hoping it wouldn't "become Rick's thing" but when I heard it during Rick's commercial, I laughed out loud so hard my roommate woke up. I didn't want it to be Rick's "thing" either, but since I made it my ringtone, I've fallen deeply on love with it.

For those who don't know, which is apparently way more people than I thought, you can buy comics on Comixology. They basically have a monopoly.

Try Runpee for Apple iOS or Android. You pick your movie before it starts. When the logo for producer of the actual movie shows (e.g. 20th Century Fox), you flip your phone over. When there is a "skippable" moment to pee in the movie, your phone will vibrate. Probably not the best place to discuss it, but it's a Five Nights at Freddy's fan-sequel. It's called POPGOES, you can find it here. Well there are several wallpaper changers that can change the image time based (even Windows 7 can do that ootb). But the problem is that you don't start your computer at the same time, so it gets out of sync. E.g. Variety

If you want it synced to a clock or even sunset or sunrise that can't be easily done with those graphical wallpaper changers. But those need many resources any way.

The good way:

Get a (Full)HD video of the episode, cut the video so you only have the part that is shown in the gif. Extract frames:

Write a script that looks at the time and calculates the right image/frame. Let the script set the background.

For Gnome and Unity:

I bought a cheap apron from Amazon, and then hand painted the letters with soft fabric paint. The paint ended up being way darker than what I wanted, but I used it anyway. I may remake it in the future, but for now this is my best attempt. I was having this issue as well when I wanted to switch between my desktop speakers and my headphones. Then somebody showed me the wonder that is Rainmeter. I downloaded this plugin and my life instantly became a little bit better. I have two button down in the corner of my desktop called "headphones" and "speakers" and it instantly switches them with a single click. It's beautiful. Not that this has anything special in relation to Windows 10, but if you're still having troubles on the audio switching, try out Rainmeter.

Edit: forgot to mention you have to actually install Rainmeter first.

The one I found in the pirate location had comments complaining about the audio but it was fine for me. Probably just have a wrong/outdated audio codecs 'cause mine was fine. I use the Kawaii Codec Pack but CCCP is fine too.

Yep. I keep a Ninite installer on my NAS.

For anyone unaware, Ninite is a great site that let's you select what applications you want installed, and gives you a small executable which will automatically download the latest version of every program and install them silently with no user interaction. If any application you selected is already installed, it will update instead.

It is the first thing I use on any fresh OS.

So, again, I definitely don't have any formal training and I might be mistaken on a few things here. With that caveat in mind: I did draw it digitally using a free image editing program called GIMP. As I understand it, GIMP is capable of doing many/most of the things that photoshop can do, however I've been told that it is not quite as user friendly (executing an action takes more steps in GIMP than in photoshop, for example). GIMP outputs raster files, which really means it is more suited to photo editing than illustration or drawing. The reason I chose to use GIMP instead of a program that outputs vector files (which are more suited for creating illustration type images and probably would have been a better choice, truthfully) is that I've been using GIMP for longer than I can remember. This was a big project and it really came down to personal preference and the fact that I could work more quickly with a tool I'm really familiar with. So, I would definitely suggest that you consider what you want to use your image for when you are choosing a program. I didn't nor have I ever used a tablet. I just use the trackpad on my computer. I've thought about getting a tablet, but they cost a bit and I'm not sure if I would like it. If you're interested in learning how to get started, I'd definitely recommend youtube for a lot of great tutorials. This might have been more detail than you were looking for, but I hope it helps!
