Awesome, good luck! BTW I think you're the fourth retailer: Blockstream's store sells stickers over ln, Torguard sells VPN services over ln, Bitrefill sells steam vouchers over ln and can also help you pay your phone bill over ln, and now you sell trezors over ln. That makes you the fourth ecommerce platform with ln functionality, but it's still really cool.
Not to steal PIA's thunder but Torguard is currently having a promotion for their VPN service ($30 a year or $15 semi-annually). PIA also has a promotion for $60 for two years. If you don't want to get locked in for such a long term/pay $60 upfront then Torguard may be a better option for you. The only criticism I've heard directed at either service is that they are based in the US. Speed-wise they similar though (Torguard was better for me though YMMV).
I use Torguard on a fibernet. For anyone watching, I'm in Iceland. If i upgrade to vpn, dl speeds will go even higher. Company gets DMCA? "You want our data? Heres all none of them, we don't save any".
Torguard. due to slow connection and disconnections while torrenting leaving my real IP in illegal torrent swarms. I'm now 5 weeks into Torguard and only good things to say.
Also if you use voucher code "TGLIFETIME50" you get 50% off. Subscription is less than $30/year, $10 cheaper than PIA, and in my personal option Torguard. runs consistently and fast.
I hate you Tony Abbott
Torguard is great, serious on privacy, keep no logs and excellent speeds and affordable ~$30/year.
I recently left PrivateInternetAccess (PIA) due to slowish connection and some down time while i was torrenting which was worrying.
It's been 5 weeks on Torguard and haven't had a problem plus $10 cheaper than PIA.
IMPORTANT use the voucher code "TGLIFETIME50" to get 50% off on all there products.
I hate you Tony Abbott.
Tunnel bear is a joke IMO.
AirVPN > NordVPN > Torguard > PIA > dirt >Tunnel bear. Depending on what your needs are, Torguard is a good VPN for dirt cheap prices with fast speeds. I switched from Torguard to AirVPN because it couldn't bypass some firewalls.
Depending on what your needs are, plenty of VPNs out there for you to try! :)
I don't really torrent much, but I don't use VPN for torrenting, because that's not my intended purpose. Using VPN to make sure I'm not being spied on by my government/ISP etc.
I'm running a handful of vpn instances on my digital ocean servers. mostly I do this because being an atheist in Pakistan, especially in my family is risky business. I'm also providing vpn services to some atheists from my city, for the purpose of protecting their skins. the main reason why I run my own servers is because I am way too paranoid to trust anyone else. I'd rather pay more and get better protection.
In the past, I've used PIA and Torguard. (I believe my brother is still using Torguard account I signed up for.) However I didn't leave any of these two services for any security problems, just plain old paranoia.
Make sure that you go into Qbittorrent, into advanced settings, and select the PIA adapter as your internet adapter instead of your normal device. That will force QBittorrent to only connect through your VPN. Also, connect to a server that allows port forwarding and use that port as your QBittorrent connection port. Also enable DNS leak protection and test your connection settings using something like the Torguard VPN test to make sure you're secured.
Let us know if we're missing anything here... We'll be adding a "traditional" directory soon, which will make it easier to add things like Torguard, other VPNs, and non-"retail" type businesses.
I've used Torguard in the past and it sucks major ass. I literally got dial-up speeds (35Kbs) on every site I tried. I thought that I had set it up improperly, but no, it was correct, and I wasn't the only person with such pathetic speeds either.
Nord VPN is meh, works 60% of the time but slow as a box of rocks from time to time. Private Internet Access is fast and does the job but some days fails to let you use it for no reason. Ivpn is just awful. Slow, fake protection and expensive. They cancel your plan after taking your money. Earth VPN is a scam, avoid. Torguard is like Private internet access. Hide my ass sells your data and personal info to fake companies. Tunnel bear works for some people and is like nord vpn.
Out of all of these, Private Internet Access is best from experience.
PIA shill reporting in. I like them, although I haven't looked elsewhere. Other commenters are suggesting Torguard, and another well rated one is NordVPN. Most companies have (I assume) one click install programs to turn the VPN on or off.
Google "TorrentFreak VPN 2015" and you should get a rundown of all the major players and how they compare to each other.
Problem with Torguard is you have to hope they really are truthful about not keeping logs.
In addition, what is stopping them from being served with both a court and gag order to enable logging and start feeding it back to the feds without telling anybody? ... Nothing ... :)
It's hard to look at this "proofs" and believe that it's true when all the information comes from competitors. It looks like instead of improving their own service, just talk shit about other VPNs and try to push them out of the market. I understand that the VPN market is really competitive but doing this won't bring them anything good. This guy here is also a shill for Torguard (he says he is not but just look at his history and his websites). I personally find it very shady. People are trying continuing milking this story when Proton very clearly came forward and explained this.
I watch Star Trek Discovery on Netflix UK (from US) using Torguard + Dedicated IP. They have a promo code. I’m paying like 9 bucks a month (technically for multiple services- anonymous proxy, normal VPN for downloads and such, and the dedicated IP from UK which I only use for Netflix). Note you need the additional service- the dedicated UK IP to actually work with Netflix. They banned most known multi-user VPN IP addresses a few months back.
If you get a VPN that allows for a dedicated IP, you can stream the US Netflix. Torguard would be an example. They're doing 50% off right now with the discount code '1984'.
Not a shill, check my user history if you'd like.
I would avoid those VPNs if I were you. In my experience they'll drastically slow down your connection at best, at worst they'll sell your browsing data or use your bandwidth for their own purposes. You're much better off getting a paid VPN. They aren't very expensive and you'll have much better performance and security. I think Torguard VPN might be the cheapest because they have a 50% off promo code you can use, but you can get a really good VPN for like $30/year which is totally worth it.
Edit: It was Torguard, not NordVPN. The promo code is TGLifetime50
I use Torguard choose to pay Semi Annually it is 50% less. 4.99 a month. I get the whole VPN client not just the BitTorrent proxy. If you have DD-WRT firmware on your router you can actually use this service for your entire network by enabling it on the router instead of on your desktop PC as a software.
I also have 5 invites to a private tracker if you just PM me with an email that doesn't identify your person. Follow the rules by using the proper client, shutting off DHT, and having a positive 1.00+ seed ratio and you can pirate happily forever.
If you dont want to torrent but just want to stream TV shows use just dont click the wrong shit or you will have more STD's than a Vietnamese whore.
Use a secure DNS service like NextDNS with blocklists and add your DNS into your router. Use uBlock Origin in your browsers. For AV, use Kaspersky, Bitdefender or ESET. For VPN get Proton or Torguard. For password manager Keepass, Bitwarden or 1Password.
Don't take combo deals and read the fine prints on agreements. When surfing the internet, make an addon list and allow installation only approved ones via browser policies. Don't use an admin account in your computer.
I'm sure you've heard this before, but you should migrate to a paid VPN service. Free services have to keep the lights on somehow, and they do that by selling your data, which means they keep logs of what you're doing online, which means anyone with a warrant can see what you're doing.
I pay like $5 a month to Torguard, but I've heard great things about NordVPN too.
I am very happy with Torguard. I pay 15 USD every 6 months.
My problem with some VPN's has been that they sometimes interfere with my torrent client (Vuze) but this one doesn't do that if redirect from the right places.
Torguard costs me $5 a month and then I get both VPN and proxy to protect my torrent habits.
It also helps that my ISP has a very "Fuck Off" attitude to companies wanting access to subscriber data.
That video was pretty embarrassing for Ver. But now talking to BCH supporters on this sub makes more sense. This video is a good example of that. Calling people out for the very exact thing this sub is promoting.
BTW, what you are advocating here can be done with 1000 other coins, so BCH is nothing new or special. It just is the most famous fork of Bitcoin.
Also, lightning network works. Just extended my sub to Torguard a few days ago.
ExpressVPN is rather unreliable for Netflix Japan, though it works better for US/UK regions.
Maybe try contacting support?
Otherwise, if Japan it really a must, you may need to find another VPN.
I believe NordVPN works, as well as wannaflix.
Torguard stopped working for a little, but I believe their streaming IPs should work again now
Back when I used a different VPN service, I would occasionally get these notices. I always ignored them, and over 3 years I never had an issue. If you want to torrent, I recommend a paid VPN like Torguard, if you search, you can sometimes get coupons and only pay $15 every 3 months. Any paid provider will generally give you better reliability than free, meaning it's less likely to drop suddenly (altho that can still happen)
As regards to “free” vpn, they don’t really exist... (see sidebar).
But for suggestions, I’m going to take it you want a cheap vpn?
Then either NordVPN or WannaFlix. Nord is a big company, and is a favorite of this sub. WannaFlix is kinda new on the block. Both are cheap if you pay by the year.
Express and Torguard also work, but they tend to be more expensive...
Yeah, something was definitely wrong somewhere, and for the life of me I couldn't figure it out. I am very happy though with the proxy because when I went to cancel the VPN service from Torguard they gave me a coupon for 50% any service recurring monthly, so it only cost a few bucks a month.
Your best bet is probably running the VPN on your router. You may need custom router firmware for this to work well (or you may not.). I use the Asus Merlin firmware on a RT-N66U to connect to Torguard and it allows me to specify which devices get routed through the VPN.
Yeah, there is a breach in iOS about VPN connection because in iOS when it is locked everything is shut down to minimise battery usage. And this also effects VPN apps and as you said this result in apps connecting to internet without VPN connection and seamless tunnel thingy even does not solve this issue. Recently I subscribed to Torguard and their app has this connect on demand option but I have suspicions whether it is connected 100% of the time or there are sometimes breaches. IOS is cumbersome about this.
1) it is a VERY bad idea to download any "cracked" VPN software. Never trust something responsible for handling all of your internet traffic to some crack uploader. There's plenty of FOSS VPN clients out there that will do you quite nicely.
2) There's really no way to get around paying for a VPN because of how services handle subscriptions. Either use Torguard or PrivateInternetAccess. With either one use a temp email and pay in either BTC or a with a gift card that you bought with cash. If you find yourself shopping for other VPN service providers, be wary of deals that sound too good to be true, e.g.: "lifetime subscription for only $5!" Type deals that are on slashdot all the time. Again you're trusting these people with all of your internet traffic, so make sure they're reputable.
Also obligatory /r/VPN plug
Ok great to know, thanks for the explanation.
It's why I switched from Private internet access. They made promises about not retaining data, and always pushing to circumvent the whole Netflix blocking thing. They caved regarding the Netflix issue so I lost trust in them regarding their other promises.
Torguard states flat out they absolutely do not log. I'm fairly satisfied with them for anything that doesn't require low latency. Ie gaming, which I bypass it for on certain ports.
I would take another careful look at the sheet. None of the companies are perfect, but PIA and Torguard concern me.
Both:
Located in a 14 eyes country
Unclear logging policy (every company advertises "no logs", but as you can see from the sheet, this isn't truly the case). I'd want to see more about what specifically ISN'T logged
Use proprietary third party tools
To be honest, having a VPN is kind of a must have for privacy nowadays to be honest. I recommend Torguard. Compared to other big brands, you're not stuck for 4 years with a big discount you can just stop it whenever. Search for coupon code and its like 12 euros per quarter. Can't beat that!
*edit your to you're
What Netflix are you after?
Windscribe works with Japan, USA, Canada, UK
Torguard with streaming IP (2 now in the deal & you'll find half price codes out there like this one netflix ) works with what countries you choose, but only two and far as I know you can't change the IPS to another country also torguard itself doesn't unblock netflix.
Express VPN works with us and some others
Nord VPN works too with various Netflixs
Pure VPN works for us via its chrome / Firefox add on
Are you asking about pure vpn or VPNs in general?
Purevpn is secure enough, they follow standard practices. Does it unblock Netflix? I haven’t used it before so you’ll have to wait for those who have.
Otherwise for recommendations, it depends what you want. I assume you want to unblock Netflix since you asked this here?
In that case Nord, Express are the top two recommended. I’d say Nord is a better deal here, they’re cheaper and unblock both US and UK (the top two most requested regions).
If you need specific regions other than US and UK, then maybe Torguard? They have streaming IPs in lots of locations (including Japan and Singapore), but you need to pay extra for each additional region.
I’d also say try out WannaFlix (there’s a 7 day free trial) as they are fast and unblock some special regions like Japan and Korea, but I may be a little biased there ;)
>Also, lightning network works. Just extended my sub to Torguard a few days ago.
Sure Lightning Network works while you have hobbyists using it and a tiny number of nodes. Wait until they try to scale it ..haha. It's so funny that BTC supporters think bitcoin doesn't scale but somehow Lightning will
and I managed to bork my first post :/ heres the direct link
-edit to add, history low based on Is There Any Deal. Purchased myself using PayPal US account. Had to use a brazil based VPN (I personally use Torguard, but tunnel bear should work to). Instant code added to my games page on Nuuvem and no issue redeeming retail code to Steam.
FYI, Torguard is based out of FL and has their main presence there. You'd probably have very good results with them.
Also, Tampa isn't a major IX (Internet Exchange), Miami is. So you'd likely have to be routed through Miami to get to Tampa anyway. Routing very rarely can be calculated based on the actual distance between two locations.
I´m currently using Windscribe on AndroidTV and it works great. I also purchased a residential IP which helps. I appreciate their split tunneling options so I can exclude certain apps from the VPN.
Torguard also has a AndroidTV app as do many many others.
> they require Torguard to provide logs if requested
Not understanding you here - If the VPN provider has no logs then there are no logs to provide.
Or did you mean that they are logging even though they claim not to? That's a big statement to make.. if that is the case hopefully you have references.
> or work around for port forwarding issues
You need to subscribe to a VPN provider that supports port forwarding, there is no workaround if your goal is to be fully connectable for torrents.
EDIT: Also note that for the U.S. there are no required data retention laws for ISPs so am not too sure why you'd expect a VPN provider to retain voluntary logs, maybe you can elaborate?
I only have 1 problem, when you are used to Lightning Payments, oh my goth, Bitcoin, is so slow.
Last week:
I charged mine and other phones, Lightning and bitrefill.
Paid my VPN, Torguard and Lightning
Top up my BLW channel, LN transfer from BlueWallet to my LN channel from BLW
And then, standard bitcoin transaction from my exchange to my Android wallet.
After few seconds, why does it take so long. Oh yes, confirmations, but first idea was, why so long, is something wrong?
You guys realize this sub has been shilling Torguard as well for the entirety of it's creation? Have you not seen the sticky? For all we know, the same person who made that subreddit also owns this one. Or the same people. Ever think of that?

I would suggest trying a "streaming IP" / "dedicated IP" type setup; people use them to bypass VPN checks for Netflix so perhaps drop a line to providers and ask them?
(I know Torguard do it if you want a name to start with).
There's also an interesting discussion about NordVPN, ProtonVPN, and Tesonet on the AirVPN forums here:
’t-trust-nordvpn/
Proton's response to everything has been to label anyone who doesn't buy into their story as being a PIA or Torguard troll. So I guess this means that PIA and Torguard are also operating AirVPN's forums - according to Proton's logic.
I've tried quite a few over the years. I like Torguard... Nord would also be ok. Torguard is adamant they do not keep logs so cannot give info they do not have. I just pay with paypal but they have multiple options including crypto if your freedom fighting requires it.
Torguard is a VPN service and has setup lightning node to receive lightning network payments for its services. It is the first one of this kind. It's pretty experimental and for small payments.
I admire their skin in the game and sincerely wish them a lot of return in term of sales but not with this payment rail for now. A user must be conscious it is very dangerous to use lightning in production now.
Worth paying for one really. I use Torguard. Works fine for IPlayer, but not for Netflix anymore sadly unless you get a dedicated IP.
I've read good things about Cyberghost. It's subsidized by premium users - the only limits are that it forces to you reconnect after 3 hours usage, and can't be used on iOs devices.
I love it when foreigners watch BBC coverage.
Otherwise if all else fails hang around in 4chan /tv/ and see if people post links to streams. I might be doing that anyway, because I enjoy the twitch-like chat.
Torrenting from a public tracker (such as pirate bay) without using a VPN is basically begging to get caught. You can go a long time without getting caught, especially if you're downloading more obscure stuff but the major studios and TV networks like HBO closely monitor public trackers and it's highly likely that they'll send you a notice. Nothing is going to happen if you get caught like once but if you get caught repeatedly you run the risk of having your Internet disconnected and getting sued. I received a Notice from Sony after my room mate downloaded some movie from TPB. I immediately got us on a VPN and we haven't had an incident since. The VPN I use is Torguard, they are very secure, easy to use, and reasonably priced. They even provide a mobile app that you can use on your iPhone or Android. There are many other trust worthy VPN's out there though. I've heard good things about PIA, I think that's what the majority of people use.
Wow, lots to unpack here...
>Is Comcast somehow getting around Torguard?
Comcast has nothing at all to do with you getting a DMCA notice. They got it from a copyright holder, they forwarded it to you.
Chances are, your VPN is leaking. One way this might happen is if your computer has an IPv6 address and the VPN isn't preventing traffic from going out via IPv6. Try using this tool from your VPN provider to investigate the problem further.
i am loving Eweka. nothing has failed that i have looked for since i got it.
about the VPN, Personally i dont know anything about the VPN they offer, but if a VPN is something you want for other reasons, i recommend getting an actual VPN service separate, like PIA, Mullvad or Torguard or something. a trusted company that just does VPN. would cost you a little more in the long run but you will have a better product from a company that deals with it. I got PIA for $40 a year and had Torguard for like $30 a year. its not too bad. loving PIA right now.
Btw, the commenter by the name Newslooter is a shill for Torguard and WeVPN. He spams it in every possible post/comment. When I pointed this out in r/virtualprivatenetwork, I was promptly banned. Turns out, he's a mod in both r/virtualprivatenetwork and r/NetflixViaVPN
Torguard is awesome and I use it in EU too (not UK) so should probably work in UK no problem. You can refund within a week if it doesnt :) Google "Torguard stream bundle", I could not find the stream bundle just by going to their webpage...
Nord is far from good.
- They got exposed for having trackers in their app
- They blackmailed Torguard
- They used illegally obtained IP's
- They do false advertising
- It's possibly a honeypot
- Overpriced.

Just to name a few
Well; since it is piracy....There is no rules to this shit!! Don't let people tell you that you have to seed and you should use private trackers. You can download from where ever you want and whatever quality you want.
I live by the rule that I do upload- while I am downloading -. Also rather than a vpn; you can also get a Torrent Proxy like Torguard. I pay $23 a year to make it look like I am downloading from New Zealand or the Netherlands. Have not received an ISP letter in 3 years.
My last transactions this week:
Bitrefill:
Top-up my phone and phone from 2 friends.
Amount around 0.004 BTC per transaction.
Used LN and the Android BLW wallet.
Paid for my VPN
LN and Android BLW Wallet
Bluewallet
Preparing my crypto wallets for use in Pattaya, end of the month, restaurants and maybe hotel.
Refill Samourai with BTC
Refill Bitpay with BTC and BCH
Refill BlueWallet BTC
I don't think the campaign was effective at all and we have clearly refuted all the false claims. It only seemed like a lot of people believed the false claims because the people orchestrating the smear campaign used so many fake accounts (over 6000 accounts identified on Twitter). Very few real people believed it because the evidence against the claims is so overwhelming. Proton's origin story for example, is even featured on CERN's website ( and Swiss public television has even been on site at our Geneva office to interview us about ProtonVPN.
As we know who is behind the campaign (Torguard VPN), our next step would be to take legal action against them if they persist in making patently false claims.

Simple, but not very helpful.
If it turns out to be true that we will have to pay extra for port forwarding then i will not be happy, i signed up on the premise that it would be available in April, but every month it is delayed, and now we are informed that it will cost extra.
I have been holding off cancelling my Windscribe account, but if this turns out to be true and there are further delays, then i will have to move to Air VPN, Torguard or one of the many others that do support port forwarding.
It depends on the VPN. You can also get a private IP that hasn't been blocked and use that. Since it's for you exclusively it wont be easily flagged. Torguard is great for this. Also Windscribe has special Netflix servers that work pretty well until discovered by Netflix, but Windscribe usually changes their IP's when this happens. /r/NetflixViaVPN is a great subreddit for this.
I have a dedicated streaming IP from Torguard and it works fine - I'm the only person who uses that IP address so it won't get flagged as a common VPN endpoint.
Cost me around $200 for two years, and included a mini-router to make it work with my smart TV/consoles/etc. Netflix works great, and if I want the Australian Netflix I just use a different device that's not VPN'd.
Plus the deal gives you access to other VPN endpoints in case you need to set sail on the seven seas...
For all the online marketeers, Torguard has an affiliate program too! Set up a LND channel with them, buy the VPN and start to promote it! This way you can promote LND and earn money on it, so actually it is an affiliate program for LND too! I go work on this and promote them on my websites soon! If they get a huge inflow of customers by accepting LND payments many others will follow = huge adoption!
It's not the best in terms of potential privacy leaks, but I got a great deal, Torguard. Their customer service also blew me away, so I was pretty impressed already. The downside for them is that they are based out of the U.S. They don't keep logs, you can pay anonymously, and they support end-to-end encryption.
I can only trust my provider by their word, and validations of their users.
Find a proxy which allows you to buy a "streaming IP". I currently pay $5 USD/month for access to the VPN network, and $4 USD/month for a private IP address that only I can access. I've been using this setup since Netflix cracked down and have had no issues whatsoever.
My service is Torguard, but I'm pretty sure there are other similar services.
I wouldn't use tor for downloading. Your speeds will plummet. Get yourself a good VPN that is trusted, have a look around for some (AirVPN, PIA, Torguard are some often floated around). If worst comes to worst, at least use a Socks5 Proxy, if set up right they can be effective. Lastly, although not needed, id change the DNS on your router to something other than the ISP's DNS, to make sure they're not monitoring you when you're not using a VPN (unless your ISP using DNS hijacking techniques, in which case, that's a whole other story).
Edit: about your ip blocker, do you mean a block list? If so, it's always a good add on to use. However, if it is old, update it.
Well they can't block entire services; they just block IPs that they know are used by many people. So you can do two things; either keep trying different servers on PIA until you find one that still works (although it might not work tomorrow), or pay for a private IP. I don't know if PIA offers private IPs but Torguard does and it works just fine for me. The problem then is that your IP is locked to one specific location, so you could maybe have it in Canada, but not Canada and Mexico.
It cracks me up people still use Astril. Constant posts here about how it's down or they can't login. I normally keep quiet about my VPN as I don't want it blocked, but fuck it I'm leaving next month. Torguard is the king of China VPN.
Do you have kill switch and dns leak protection enabled? Not sure if they are included with Express VPN's app but they are standard with Torguard and PIA. It's possible that your VPN got disconnected temporarily and your files kept downloading without it's protection for a short period of time, which could have been long enough for copyright trolls to log your IP.
Even Torguard no longer works with MLS Live. I like to watch games on my iPad whilst cooking and even though I PAY FOR ALTITUDE, I have no options at this point, other than to take over the TV.
Meanwhile, Columbus are getting nearly 1 shares on their home broadcasts. I get that KSE is hyper-territorial over their properties, but jesus, the Avs, Nuggets, and Rapids deserve better than the crap that is Altitude.
There will always be a way around things like this. Just about any VPN worth paying for (Nord, Slick, Torguard, there's literally thousands) updated a couple of days after Netflix tried to stop them.
It never mattered and it still doesn't matter. I wouldn't use Torguard though, not because they are US based, but because they are very sketchy. They have stolen other providers software and used it even if it was a security risk. That doesn't bold well for a VPN provider.
If you are just using them to torrent or bypass region locks it shouldn't matter, but anyone who actually cares about privacy should stay away from them.
Turkish Netflix doesn't have Turkish shows yet.
But I won't be surprised if Netflix's regional management for Turkey will begin adding Turkish shows soon to attract the Turkish audience, but this is not the case yet.
Nonetheless, if you want to connect to Turkish Netflix your best option is to sign up for a PAID VPN service.
I personally use and pay for Torguard's VPN service. It offers Turkish servers, it is a very easy to use program (install program, choose server, enter login details, connect) and it has a perfectly functioning Android app. Although you can also do your own research into other VPN services, there are dozens of quality paid VPN services that compete with Torguard and they are probably just as good. Just make sure they offer a Turkish VPN server to connect to.
I've used both PIA and Torguard. My current plan allows 20Mbps down and 10Mbps up. I was able to easily achieve that speed on both of those. Both cost $30/yr. If I had to choose one, I'd go for Torguard because they have a lot more servers and iirc they also have browser extensions although I've never used the extensions.
>Torguard had the audacity to even state that "you dont need this much encryption nor is there a justification for 256-BIT encryption". Followed by marketing terms such as "heavy duty obfuscation"
Where do they say this?
Thanks for list, i just subscribed to Torguard $30 a year with that TGLIFETIME50 coupon.
Seems good, getting same torrent speeds as i would normally without VPN if you choose an Aus sever.
I tried to ask this earlier and it got automatically taken down.
It confuses me too.
I honestly don't know. I like torguard and in March they have a deal for $30/year which makes it's $2.50 a month.
I was going to try PIA but heard people who had refund issues and customer service issues. Torguard has been great with customer care, which I didn't expect I would need it but did.
Edit: my speeds are almost identical with or without torguard VPN on.
The UI for one and the interface is a lot easier. .se has adware, so don't use it. Look in the sidebar for . If you're in the US, use a vpn. I used to use FrootVPN when I first started, but just now, they started charging money.:/ If you close it in the task manager, sure, but why would you want to stop seeding. You can just cap your bandwith a little or something. For a first-time user in the USA, use it normally but get PrivateIntenetAccess or Torguard, some vpn that doesn't log.
As for being a first-time user, what's your setup? I wold recommend having a home server but it seems you can't afford it(Nor can I). So have it hooked up with a wired connection and you're pretty much set. Then turn on the vpn and watch whatever you want.
Although I can't comment on your current setup, I might recommend tunneling all transmissions done through kodi using a good VPN service to eliminate any "oops" if your IP gets exposed. I've been using Torguard since I started downloading torrents, even before streaming with Seren. They don't keep any logs either so even if the feds come knocking there's nothing to hand over. It's more peace of mind for myself and idiotproofing my luck!
> We received information that led us to finding TorGuard server configuration file available on the internet. We then noticed that one of their servers was left completely unprotected and publicly accessible for anyone. It contained private keys, scripts, and a number of other extremely sensitive information, which if misused, could have caused Torguard and their customers some serious harm. We disclosed the vulnerability to them with the best intentions.
Protip: If you get information about a competitor, disclose the information to them before you look at it. If you access their server before or after you disclose the information to them, you are then guilty of accessing their systems unlawfully and they then have a legal case against you.
I would rather trust my traffic to a USA company than some shady group of Lithuanians that hide behind a mailbox in panama.
Don't forget NordVPN is trying to get all of tom sparks youtube videos taken down by blackmailing Torguard. They support open internet just not when it talks bad about Nord...
You are safer using Torguard by far. PLus Torguard does not disconnect randomly every 20 min like Nordvpn.
Heres my recommendations: Torguard, Mullvad and PIA. Ive never used TorGuard but from what people say on here is seems to be a pretty good option and ive never had any issue with Mullvad and PIA. I personally would go with Mullvad, it keeps no logs, easy to use client, supports wireguard and accepts cryptocurrency. PIA was also very good because of how easy it is to use but i would HIGHLY recommend Mullvad. If you want very in-depth review of all these vpns I recommend checking out this site:
My dude... I use BTC all the time. Torguard VPN omthly payments, mobile top-up in West African countries, and ...other things... I would love to spend BTC on twitch, why the hell would I lie about that?
Anyway, peace my friend, I hope you have a good Saturday evening and find what you're looking for.
PS... I'm a bot (not really)
If you already have an HBO online package I can vouch for the VPN, keep in mind most free VPNs won't work so you'll probably need a premium one (many of them have free trials though). I've used several in the past including NordVPN, Express VPN and Torguard. Most of them will require you to contact support (very efficient and fast) to see which server will work with HBO.
As an aside it seems you can get HBO in japan via amazon prime, not sure if the amazon prime from the US will work though
> Is it possible that the R8000 is just dead? I've tried everything I can think of.
It's possible but if you have not factory reset it you should do so.
> Also: Slight tangent I was also considering adding a VPN like Torguard if i did that with the desktop option would I keep most of my speed?
That PC will run a VPN at your full speed. Good luck finding a VPN provider that can keep up. You will almost certainly lose a significant amount of speed but it won't be the fault of the PC.
Wow people answer fast ;)
If you go on the two year deal, NordVPN is quite cheap ($99/2 years)
WannaFlix is the cheapest if you pay monthly ($4.97 / month) and unblocks Japan Netflix (as well as Korea, US, UK, and Canada Netflix). There’s a 7 day trial as well
Others like Torguard and expressvpn do unblock Japan Netflix, but they are quite on the expensive side.
Sign up to a reputable VPN like Torguard, NordVPN or similar. Will cost a few dollars per month. Then you download their client application, run it and select the location of the server you want to connect to. Once connected just use your PC like normal and all internet traffic will appear as if you're in the location you selected. This works to unblock some services, but others won't know where you're based but will know you're behind a VPN and just block you anyway.
Make sure what ever VPN you choose has servers in the location you want. Most have a free trial so give that a go and see how it works for you.
They aren't stupid, you've been getting legitimate responses sprinkled in.
Could you clarify what you mean by "contracted through tails". The rest of what you said isn't proof or just not relevant and it doesn't explain anything of value to me that I can use. Don't be so abstract with the details.
The "log" you posted indicate you both use the same browser and OS, combined with you mentioning "they" use the same VPN as you, and an IP originating in the same country as you. It sounds like this malicious actor is you. Is the VPN you use Torguard by chance or does it have TOR in the name? Last I checked, TOR is a free browser and I don't see any indication of it in the "log".

For your VPN needs. Torguard is great and there’s a lifetime discount for Reddit
