Just to add to this. They tend to do a good job at adding variation for vegetarian options — my partner doesn't eat meat. Also, the suggested donation is $10 and you can pre-pay on the C38 website.
I use TunnelBear on my laptop to VPN to another spot in the US. It usually comes out in Saint Louis. Then ESPN will happily start the stream. Then you can turn off TunnelBear and the stream will reconnect (but not re-do the geolocation, so you’re good).
And, by the way, this is not illegal. People get all crazy paranoid. It’s against ESPN’s Terms of Service. So they could cancel an account, then you’d just have to make another. I’ve never had a problem and have been doing this for years.
Thought so as you're in mid season if i'm right?
It has been really intense, i'm not sure what's the problem. Our Buffarini nearly amputated one of your guys. CB Magallan looks really nervous and he is usually very level headed. That midfielder who got the yello, Perez, he gets a yellow every game. There's even an android game about it
Even Torguard no longer works with MLS Live. I like to watch games on my iPad whilst cooking and even though I PAY FOR ALTITUDE, I have no options at this point, other than to take over the TV.
Meanwhile, Columbus are getting nearly 1 shares on their home broadcasts. I get that KSE is hyper-territorial over their properties, but jesus, the Avs, Nuggets, and Rapids deserve better than the crap that is Altitude.
I know you said no VPNS, but...
NordVPN is the most consistent option from my experience and at $12-19/month combined it's reasonably affordable.
If you pay monthly it ends up being $19/month to watch the Rapids. I went for the 1-year plan from Nord which brings it down to about $12/month. The only trick is that you'll need to select a US based location via NordVPN that is not blocked out, I usually select NYC. FWIW, I have the NordVPN app on my FireTV and watch on that.
The only real con to this path imo is when games aren't on ESPN+.
The supporters bus is a tough one cause there you will have to fight for your life as the other members in C38 attempt to gouge your eyes out and feast on your body as we sacrifice you to the soccer gods to win a game and not draw.
But in all actuality, the supporters bus is fun! We love having away fans. I try my best to make every bus trip and when we have away fans its so much fun to just chat it up and talk soccer as we drink beers to the game. You're welcome on the bus and proceeding tailgate and even if you don't go on the bus you can still come through to the tailgate. Some of the best away fans are the Timbers fans. They're always good for a great footy conversation.
Here's a link to buy bus tickets: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/centennial38/506441/
If you can meet up downtown, try to take the C38's supporters bus. That's an easy way to get there and back.

The parking is free in most lots (i've never paid for parking but there may be some premier lots, i'm not sure.) it's usually pretty easy to deal with, it's not that's crazy if you guys just feel like driving. You wont end up having to walk half a mile for decent parking.
They are going to be watching the Champions League final starting about 1, than taking the bus sponsored by C38 to the Dick for the game.

You can buy a bus ticked and roll with your travelling supporters group. They'll leave around 4 if you wanted to explore downtown before hand instead of sitting at the bar all day.
NordVPN and hookup to a Miami server
I am currently doing way too much work to get a DD-WRT router configured to connect to Nord permanently so I can easily switch the AppleTV between normal WiFi and VPN WiFi.
What VPN service have you had success with? I had Mullvad for the last year and ESPN+ seems to block their whole bank of IPs.
I can't even watch out-of-network games on ESPN+ when using Mullvad's VPN.
So for today I setup NordVPN on my laptop, connected to Miami, then shared WiFi connection to the AppleTV. Quality is great! Now I’ll figure out how to setup some dedicated hardware option (OpenVPN on some old WiFi router).
Depends on what you watch on. I use a fire stick with NordVPN and ESPN+ apps. Connect to a non local server on VPN and then open up ESPN+, watch on your TV!
NordVPN has some pretty good sales, especially if you want to pay in advance for a year or two. Been really happy with it overall.
Depends on device. If you go through a device without GPS it works. The NordVPN app works on a fire stick and then I have been watching ESPN+with it all year for the Avs. Hoping ESPN+ has most of the Rapids games!
Virtual Private Network, you can pretty much download them and add them to your browsers. NordVPN and ExpressVPN are some popular ones and they usually have a free trial.
I am not a networking guru so I don't know all the ins and outs, but basically it changes your perceived location when the stream is verifying where you are for the purpose of a blackout in this scenario. So if you are watching Philly vs Colorado on ESPN+, it will be blacked out to Colorado and Pennsylvania IP addresses. A VPN lets you change your location to California for example and bypass the blackout.
I'm sure someone here can give a more technical answer.
You can actually install VPNs - including ExpressVPN - on either a virtual or hardware router to wrap your network. This allows you to protect your network regardless of the devices that connect to it, such as a Roku stick.
Unfortunately, we share our router with someone and that’s not an option.
I recommend trying a VPN and creating the website data. Some people have had issues but is you already have ESPN+ it’s worth a shot. And a good VPN is the best way to be secure online. I personally use ExpressVPN. ESPN and pretty much every major platform uses a simple IP address blocking technique to try to stop vpn use on their sites. Simply changing servers usually fixes this issue and good VPN providers regularly changes all their IP addresses also so getting through has never been an issue for me.
I actually had almost no success last season using ExpressVPN. It seems ESPN+ can tell if you’re using a vpn and just put me in a login loop on my desktop. I did have some success on my mobile using expressvpn.
Our official bar is The Celtic on Market. Most of our viewing parties will take place there. You can watch rapids away games with ESPN+ and a VPN. I have don that for years. I use ExpressVPN, works great.
