These apps on phones are pretty useless anyway - I would heavily advise anyone interested in features like this to take a look at "Aeternum Map" in the Overwolf marketplace. It isn't as popular as NWMM, but it has a much more functional UI with a separate "google maps" console in addition to the mini-map for those of us who would rather a secondary map on another monitor.

Get some Foot Switches and a Tartarus. Put mouse right and left click on your feet and put WASD and whatever else you want on the Tartarus along with the thumbstick on the Tartarus to control your camera. Probably won't feel as good as mouse and keyboard and you might not be a pvp god, but you can play.

Alt+F3 doesn't seem to do anything, even with an NVIDIA card. I know Ansel is invoked with Alt+F2, but New World isn't on the list of supported games.

Medal.tv for me. I had issues with obs and other software really dumping on my fps and performance when recording. Medal, to my surprise, was extremely lightweight and can be tweaked in terms of recording duration, output, resolution, etc to reduce impact if its still an issue. Default hotkey is F8 and when pressed records the last preset minutes.

GPU-Z, I'd prefer to measure the power draw straight from the wall because software isnt that great at reading it but its still a good idea of what its using really. I think HWInfo64 and HWmonitor can also see wattage reported being pulled.

I don't use VPN's, I live in NZ and don't get our traffic monitored and hawked on by our government, nor does any of our ISP's care for cease and desist letters and no need to link CCNA, i've literally read that thing 10 times over and still refer to it at work sometimes.

If money's not an issue, the best cheap alternative for packet loss and latency issues is Exitlag. They also offer a free 3 day trial, no CC required.

ProtonVPN is what some people I know of in the Philippines use to get better latency to servers hosted in Australia for various games they play. Doesn't provide them with a heck load of bandwidth but they also don't require it.

It's sad but the fix to this is to use more $$ for the game. The 3090 uses GDDR6X like the 3080, so these card's VRAM gets really hot. It's not the core temperatures you need to look at but VRAM temps.

For me to fix this I had to change the thermal pads on the cards and apply small heatsinks to the back of the card. It's something miners are doing, but my card does not suffer from this because it is now cooled efficiently.

If anyone is reading this and decides to try, you should get 12 W/MK + thermal pads. Each card is different and you have to go read online/watch videos and get the right thickness pads to change them.

All depend on place, where in game Freedome and CC duration bonus is applyed, but we do not know this. OK. Being closer to the servers makes VPNs a bit more viable as a way to improve ping. Definitely will not be a VPN.

Essentially you want to look for VPNs that have the most server density in your area and your destination so packet pathing is more likely to be quick. I doubt you'd find more density than ExpressVPN, but I don't actually know.

I think it's more likely that this is just another mistake by AGS.

This is not about the ping. This is more about bugs of "stagger protection system", 2nd stagger do not work, while target on stagger already. But, still Finish stagger is bugged, most of the time it not stagger, even on ungritted and unstaggered players.

LOL, this is such a huge lie. Moderators don't have the power to IP ban and admins don't IP ban except for the most severe cases (botting rings, doxxing, child porn, terrorism etc).

The vast majority of moderators can't even directly contact the admins, they have to go through automated systems or ask community managers through subs like /r/modnews or r/moddingsupport.

Some of the most active and well known moderators have access to private admin Slack channels, but we're talking old school moderators here which have moderated this site since the early/mid 2000's.

Lumberyard has been free to use - unless you're building an online game, in which case your cost is that you have to host through AWS and pay to do that- for a long time, that's not something new or recent.

Lumberyard is now one of the cornerstones of O3DE's new open source package, which also includes the new Atom renderer - which hopefully NW will adopt at some point.

Some states have availability within a few weeks (you have to reserve and it's based on your location for availability with their service) but well within time for launch since they moved it up to Sept. I've personally used Shadow for WoW. With some tweaking, you can really get them to work very good on a PC with an ethernet cable (and a good internet connection).

any of these 3 apps are in a different class of test compared to 3dmark and games. there are people who will use their video cards for years and never have a problem, but these tests will fail, showing that the card wasn't actually okay. this is why manufacturers don't like people running them. strong loads don't actually break the cards, they just find broken cards and cost the companies more warranty requests

Sounds like temperature or voltage, though the BIOS reset suggests otherwise. Looks like you’ve got some useful feedback.

To add: it might be worth installing something like Open Hardware Monitor, hitting its “reset all counters” button, and then playing. The next time your PC dies, fire OHM up and check out which of the measurements went crazy. It won’t fix the issue, but it might point you at the component that’s causing it.

I used this in the first few days when sitting in 8 hour queues and my fans were going nuts, and then to confirm that dropping graphics to Low and FPS to 30 while queuing made an appreciable difference.

And a friend used it with another game to work out that his PSU was unable to supply his mobo and GPU with enough power at high load.

Gold ore isn't the same as gold though. It's gold mixed with other minerals like iron pyrite (aka fool's gold), granite, quartz, etc. You couldn't coin currency from gold ore because you'd have to extract it first. It's literally worth nothing in real life too (and not without irony I found this on Amazon):

At $54.35 for 4 pounds, there probably isn't a lot of gold in that gold ore. Oh and if people go, "but but Gold Rush..." Those are placer mines, meaning they are harvesting gold that Mother Nature extracted from ore through erosion over thousands or millions of years. To actually process gold ore, you'd need a stamping mill (for the era this game is in) or sag mill (modern gold processing) and a whole bunch of lime and cyanide to separate it from the base minerals. It's also how they process silver ore.

And I like your idea of setting up a production chain to make your own coins. Just need to add a stamping mill and extraction tank which you could then melt and cast into coins. Gold and silver could use the same chain just produce different coins depending on input. It would take a lot of ore though but I think the time sink would justify that.

I'd just make sure you get the iOS version and not the Android version. Think the $100 one is just the Xbox branded one, which is the same thing, they just partnered with Xbox as an xCloud promotion.

I remapped most of my keybinds to be more like what I'm used to in WoW, and the game got so much easier to play. I like to have my left hand control character movement, and my right hand control everything else, so I go with:

• I use an MMO Mouse, so I mapped my three abilities to 1, 2, & 3, instead of Q, R, & F.
• 4, 5, & 6 are for my Consumables.
• L for my Quest Log.
• 10 on my mouse (or the thumb button on a standard mouse) for AutoRun.

And honestly a bunch more, but you get the idea. 🤷‍♂️

M.2 are the newer type of storage that look like a small memory stick. But you would need to ensure your Motherboard can accept them. I would say give the SSD a try and see if you find an improvement. They are fairly inexpensive anymore for the space you get with them.

If your ISP were to route your traffic flawlessly with zero packet loss and the absolute minimum ping, a VPN will always underperform. The potential benefit of a VPN (aside from getting around purposefully created barriers, like region-locks) is that the VPN routes your traffic better than your ISP would.

This has been a huge problem for me playing League in Germany, where the servers are located in the Netherlands. My ISP routes my League traffic horribly with significant packet loss. Using an ExpressVPN server in my own hometown solves all the routing trouble and gets me solid ping and stability.

i.e. get PingPlotter free trial, test out the connection for yourself, try a VPN to see if it improves things.

Its not exactly what you were asking but, another potential option, is invest in a razer naga mouse and also maybe a razer tarterus. As someone who used to play ffxiv with a controller but now I use the combination mentioned above and much prefer it.

Everything is super customisable, and you can create macros and such, something I found super helpful for NE was creating a button for left and right dodging on the tarterus (you can customise a button that will press 2 buttons for instance, in this case dodge modifier plus left or right movement, and bind it to one key press). On keyboard with default bindings, this was a nightmare. On the tarterus it’s super easy.

If you get something like this make sure you order the type of keys you like.. Blue switches are clicky and make more noise.. Red Switches are smooth and quite. I got the Red Switches with RGB.

I bought one because I use a Logitech GamePad G13 for my Left hand and I wanted extra Keys for my Right as I use my mouse.

It is easy to program (looks complicated but it is not) All keys can be made to be any key you want. Plus 12 Macros can be made to use in place of a single keystroke and 12 quick macros(?just shorter macros).. Also there is NO software to run.. Only to Program.. Once it is programmed it will work that way no matter where you plug it in. I have mine plugged into a USB Hub that has power buttons so I can turn it on and off when it is not needed.

I am curious what cooler (I assume cpu?) you would have gone with. The one in the pc part picker is considered one of the best air coolers to my knowledge and the one in the comment Artic Freezer II 360 is one of the best AIOs. You can see their performance here on gamer nexus website. I also had a discount of 160$ on the PSU case combination which brought it down to a more reasonable price range. Definitely could have done better on the case and PSU in terms of pricing if going from a pure pricing perspective, but I liked the case and PSU combination so went with it. Not sure what you mean for HD (Hard Drive?) I ended up going with SAMSUNG (MZ-V8V1T0B/AM) 980 SSD 1TB - M.2 NVMe Interface Internall SS and got it for 112. Which is likely more in line with what you are thinking and did save 50$ on that. Do have another slot of m.2 so would be interested if there are better ones for the buck out there.

It's far from fancy, but I wanted to try something that wasn't a full or 60%, papa needs his numpad and I was tired of my blue switches.

If you get a GMK or similar with hotswappable switches, you can just pop em off and replace them. My main keyboard has that, and it's really nice. Plus, as long as the traces on the pcb work then the keyboard is fixable with zero tools.

I totally recommend the one I linked, though. It isn't fancy, it's just a keyboard, but I'm happy with it and really happy with what I paid.

Stock fans are simply gonna have higher temps on CPU. Those temps are normal on a stock fan when the CPU is stressed in a cpu intensive game.

As for the GPU set all settings in the game to low except textures. It will look almost the same and the GPU should be used less.

If you would like a cooler running cpu this is the CPU cooler I would get. 25 bucks will perform as well as a much more expensive EVO. The next cooler that is MUCH better is 45 bucks and the Artic Duo, but you do not need that at stock clocks.
