I've used screenshots from my game and screenshots found on google, credits to jim2point0 for some screenshots, and also thanks to splurmp for pointing that out. If you catch any other screenshot made by another user tell me so I can credit them
So that's probably where the artists took their inspiration from. The inventiveness and quality of design of this game is just amazing. The full picture is here, if you're interested.
Not sure about first playthrough, but it is a new picture. He posted in on his Facebook https://www.facebook.com/doug.cockle.10/ .

I'm part of a HEMA (Historic European Martial Arts) Club. We learn longsword fencing techniques based on the translated manuals from 15th-16th centuries swordsmen who attribute their knowledge to a 14th century master named Johannes Liechtenauer.

We put what we learn to use also because we drill and spar with masks, gloves, padded jackets and real steel training swords. After you feel like you can hold your own, you can sign up to be in tournaments. There are HEMA clubs all over the world that compete. it's really fun learning the history and testing your skills in real fencing matches.

I personally bought a book after i was finished the 10-week beginner course, that's a pretty comprehensive guide to all of the basic and intermediate offensive and defensive moves, drills, techniques etc. with easy to follow pictures and diagrams.

Make sure to follow the directions in the description of the item if you buy one. I almost goofed mine up.
Bright, sharp light such as a computer screen will do that, it has been known to affect people psychologically by tricking the brain into thinking it's closer to daytime than to nighttime. If you notice it's actually causing any kind of problem, I recommend downloading f.lux. It's a program that softens the glow of your screen based on time, so that at night your computer is a much softer, yellow glow instead of the painfully sharp white. It won't affect full screen programs (like games) and you can alter the light level it changes your screen to.
I highly recommend using it.
Chris Priestly, CD Projekt's community manager for NA, states:
>I've seen a few articles posting about how there are different times for the unlock of the digital game and how some people will be playing it on the 18th, not the 19th and so forth. So, just to clarify:
>All digital copies on all platforms, PCs, Playstation 4 & Xbox One, get access at 1AM CET, May 19th.
>So, depending on which time zone you live in, your game may unlock on the 18th or the 19th. This doesn't mean that anyone gets it earlier as everywhere unlocks at the same time, but depending on where you live, it may seem like it is earlier. Basically, we want the unlock time to be fair to everyone and staging unlocks at the same time in different time zones was felt to be unfair. This way, everyone gets it at the same time.
>To determine what your time zone is in relation to CET do a Google Search or use this handy website.
Preaching to the choir man.
Personally I'm more than happy to give it a pass. I don't mind if Geralt looks like an impractical bad ass, or Ciri looks sexy. In fact, I kinda prefer them to look cool rather than what I know would be "historically accurate".
Daniel Vavra is making a game like that - takes place in real historical bohemia, real armor and weapons, combat rules, no monsters, etc. Trying to make it as historically accurate as they can.
I will probably buy it when it comes out because it looks pretty cool - but different games for different things is fine. Some can be more "real" than others so long as it's still fun. The Witcher 3 is fine the way it is and I like the art direction. :D
Amazon has the silver and steel mixed up but this is it. I have the same one.
From UK Amazon, I live in Finland. Lady of the Lake arrived in a week or so, the others I ordered in a set which finally arrived after 4 weeks.
This CDPR representative response more or less confirms, for me, that Ciri will be showing up in the game, in some capacity.

If it was a no, they would have just said no.
Doesn't look too bad without mods either!
You can get it by opening this link on your phone or on your pc and then scanning it with Snapchat.
whether or not games run offline depends on the implementation of drm and copy protection methods like denuvo.
only drm free games (without steamworks) run without steam.

The Nvidia VR viewer is up on the google playstore. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nvidia.vrviewer
I tried it and the Witcher screenshots are phenomenal. I recommend anybody with a google cardboard or gear vr to try this app now. Even if you don't have a VR headset you can still just use your phone to see these 360 images.
By the way these screenshots are in insanely high resolution in 3d 360.
It's not a rumour. It's officially confirmed by CDPR. :)

Personally, I'm close to finishing Blood and Wine, but I'll wait a while before I return to the game. I've found that if I consume media I really love too many times, it can ruin the experience for me. For example, I've watched the LOTR trilogy so many times, it just doesn't emotionally impact the way it used to (and should).
It's not as if there's a shortage of entertainment out there.
Yes, i think so.
I remember a post on Facebook stating that the game had received over 1 million pre-orders. It was said to be over 1.5 million.
And being the best seller in UK in May (considering it was released on May 19th) and being number 1 on Japan video game sales chart.
The U.S. based covers of the novels are pretty horrid :p
Here's a good site that has the UK covers. They're beautiful. Books are cheap and it's free shipping worldwide.

Use VyprVPN .... download to your PC (free version is okay)... Set it to a location USA.... Make "Purchase" through your browser. Source. I live in the Caribbean. I do this every time.
Note: Make sure your card's billing address match the region youre buying from. I use a US billing address so i can make US region purchases. Good Luck
Here's various save files from the game, super dooper mega spoilers on the descriptions of the saves on the top of the page for all the ending saves though. Further down the page is where the saves after the prologue are and whatnot.
What is your information based on? Literally all the devs I can find on this page that have ' writer' in their job description have Polish names. There's one who's title says 'lead English writer' which does suggest the English script was written/translated concurrently to ensure consistency, but the Polish version definitely wasn't derived from it.
CD Projekt is the most consumer friendly "large company" in the industry (allowing for the possibility that some indie developer I don't know about is more consumer friendly). If you're a PC gamer you should strongly consider supporting them by utilizing their GOG.com to purchase your games online. Only be rewarding "good companies" will we as consumers be able to steer the industry into practicing more consumer friendly business practices.
If you wanna talk about immersion, the witcher 3 is situated in "the northern kingdoms", and in summer in northern lands, the sun actually rises that early. Check this out
If I may hazard a guess, it’s from “The Graham Norton Show” and it’s the episode in which “Henry Cavill” talks about “The Witcher Season 2”.

Have you checked out the British versions?
The Witcher saga isn't like some series of books (looking at you, Mistborn) that caters to those who haven't read the previous books by reiterating what has happened and how things work in the world. You won't know who the hell most of the characters are if you start in the middle of the series. Get The Last Wish. Just do it. It's enjoyable, really. Then read Sword of Destiny. It's only available, right now, as a fan translation, but it's fine. I read it on my computer and enjoyed it just as much as The Last Wish.
Then the saga starts. Good news is that most are now available as official translations, with only Tower of the Swallow (my edit: http://www.gamefront.com/files/24591332/Tower+of+the+Swallow.7z) and The Lady of the Lake being excluded. My edit has plenty of options for you to chose from (ebook, pdf, word, doc). I'm doing the same with TLotL.
If you want to know why people, myself included, lost their shit when they saw Ciri and Yennefer in that trailer, then read the books. All of them. Though I'm not really a fan of the official translations and I think the books can drag, the characters shine in this series. Reading these books will give a higher level of understanding and provide a much more enjoyable experience with the games. Please, if you have the time, get the books, read them all, and replay the first two games. You've got two months.
Here is them on Amazon in English, where they are really expensive. But, I'd recommend trying a site like eBay beforehand, I got mine there in Polish for only $10.
They come with all the standard cards for Nilfgaard and the Northern Realms and their leaders as well as non faction cards, such as Geralt and the weather cards.
You still need to talk to Yennefer, because i don't think you can save once the bar brawl starts and the cutscenes begin. This safe is right before you enter the Inn. Maybe i'm missing a few places of power in White Orchard, but it's complete otherwise
>the ethnic minorities in the UK include members of White minorities, such as those from either an Irish or a Gypsy background.
Saoirse Ronan as Ciri confirmed.
EDIT: However, the dictionary definition of BAME is typically more simply a non-white person from the UK.
I'm using ReShade just to enhance the antialiasing and sharpening in the game, but keeping saturation and contrast etc as vanilla. I'm using this preset if you're interested - http://www.filedropper.com/witcher3reshade (copy these files into the bin folder where the witcher3 exe is) Disable the AA and sharpen in game for best effect.
It’ll work fine but if you’re getting a series x and don’t mind waiting, CDPR is releasing a next-gen update: https://thewitcher.com/en/news/32792/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-is-coming-to-the-next-generation
No release date yet though.
Her name by tradition, comes from female successors of her bloodline. Lara Doren's daughter, by the name Riannon had a daughter, Fiona whose son (Corbett) married Elen, grandparents of Clanathe. There you go :) plus family tree for visual type of ppl: http://imgbox.com/ggFIkF90
She isn't called Pavetta bc she is officially addressed as C.F.E.R daughter of Pavetta, heiress if xy throne... so it's unnecessary.
Dawg, I don't have the game, but I know its there! Sorry to argue with you, but guess I'll teach you something this time lol!!!
Goto Inventory / RT - "Player Stats" (look down and right! To the Right of "compare")
Does it bug anyone else that the countdown timer doesn't countdown to the games release but just to your local may 19th time..
This is the actual correct time of when the game is being released. For me the countdown timer OP posted is 9 hours off.
I hand carved it out of wax with a flexible shaft wax carving attachment and the fine detail was all done with an x-acto blade. The final product was cast in white brass and weighs about 4.5 ounces.
We are also working on making the armor from the game, if you want to help us with our kickstarter, we would definitely appreciate it!

That's the closest I could find that isn't made by some cheap cosplay company, sorry :(
It is a bit more on the girly side as well, if that isn't what you're looking for.
The complaint is that the new wall is too blocky right ? and that it differs greatly from the clearly rocky nature of the older build ? Similar effects can still be achieved with varying tessellation effects, and I think this is extremely comparable to the Witcher case. I'm not saying that the model wasn't changed, heck you can tell they they used entirely different textures with different patterns, I'm just saying you're wrong.
>"prove me wrong and link me to a book description of ANY of these casted characters that don't specifically point out them being caucasian." > >You literally can't do this because you have no leg to stand on regarding this LMAO
I wasn't gonna because it doesn't matter, but temptation of it being easy and funny got me; here you go.
It's funny because it proves you wrong, no mention of their skin color and highlights all the things I mentioned about their characters not relying on their skin color.
Protip: get the books from The Book Depository. Great prices and worldwide free delivery, I bought all my Witcher books there throughout the years :)
ahah thanks but it certainly wasnt my design. I'm not creative enough for that at all. I used one of the sketches from the end of Witcher 3 and just blew it up onto my wall. If you look closely u can see the grid I drew to make sure all the proportions were right.
Dont have to be good at drawing if you take your time and section it off into inch by inch squares.

But those "choices" are non engaging, cosmetic and pointless. And your character has less personality than a MMO drone...there is no reaction or dialogue even when your head is about to be chopped off! My first choice in Wasteland II had me going back and forth across the map, trying to decide which call for help to respond...there is nothing even remotely like this in any Bethesda game out there. Nord will know nothing about Skyrim culture, Redguard assasins will not react to female Redguard player character, Khajiit will experience nothing of racial discrimination found in Skyrim. And I completely disagree with Skyrim's npcs having even an ounce of depth...majority are clones made by the template based on their voice actor( innocent young woman, grumpy old guy....) and it feels completely out of place how their whole life can be summarized in three lines of nonsense which they won't stop babbling every time you come into a mile of radius. You cannot interact with a lot of them in Witcher, but they feel more active and living their life that isn't centered around the player, and the ones that do serve a role in story or side quests are trillion times better. Skyrim or any Bethesda game, in terms of cohesion and quality of design, is not really an open world game...it is a large Lego box video game and mods are the toys you add that make it more interesting. There is an article that almost mockingly describes Bethesda game, intentionally or not https://www.kingdomcomerpg.com/de/blog/posts/a-lesson-in-cartography-in-potato-land
It was the limited official mod kit. We could only really change the textures and some other little things. Nothing huge, Source: https://kotaku.com/it-sucks-that-the-witcher-3-isnt-getting-better-mod-too-1724690309
First off the Xbox One runs it at lowest settings without some features the PC version has. That and it runs it at sub 30 fps. It'll be the same experience regardless so honestly you'll be getting the same experience regardless.
Secondly what kind of graphics card does your laptop have?
Because these are the minimum requirements for the PC release
OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
Processor: Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz / AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 / AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
Storage: 35 GB available space
EDIT: It looks like you could run it, but you can always check http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri on your laptop to be for sure. If you can, I'd recommend the PC version, because you can play it with a controller.
That too, the shipping nonsense on this sub needs to stop. It's turning into fucking tumblr... an arrow related portion of tumblr....
No you guys don't get it. AN ARROW PORTION OF TUMBLR, DO YOU SEE THIS? DO YOU SEE THIS SHIT?!
https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/olicity
Make it stop... please...
We don't know anything about your specs, resolution, OS .... So let's guess. Does this help?
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Witcher#Frequent_game_crashes
I wonder if that has anything to do with this? Read the four paragraphs on a 'short note about sha-1'
I just finished the game last night myself. 6 months to complete the main game. Its been a long time, and its kinda hard to let go. You just get so attached to these characters. Thankfully I had the best ending. Would have been heart breaking to get the other endings. I'm going to miss these characters.
Here are some things to ease the pain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QsxwSL_tqQ - http://coub.com/view/6x469
Amazon. Available both as CDs and digital downloads through Audible. Just search with the name of the book. Here's The Last Wish, to get you started.
All the audio versions are read by Peter Kenny, and he's doing a very good job from what I hear. (Pun partially intended.) I'm not aware if they've been read by others.
Here's a sample of the Sign build I'm creating. 708% Sign Intensity. Safe to say, think I'm onto something, but still tweaking a few last things and should have video posted tonight :)
Oh right. Well TW2 is on Xbox 360 (not sure how good the port is), and TW3 is coming out on PS4 and Xbone (here is some footage of it running on Xbone).
No, it shouldn't be crashing your computer. Something may be overheating, your PSU may be failing to give the right voltage with enough load, you could have bad RAM or bad graphics memory. Luckily, there are ways of testing all of these things.
Could be that you're just using that much RAM in that configuration: Run a booted memory tester http://superuser.com/questions/727959/how-to-create-a-bootable-memtest86-on-usb-flash-drive I've never done a GPU memory test, but it looks like they exist. http://mikelab.kiev.ua/index_en.php?page=PROGRAMS/vmt_en
Otherwise, track your CPU temp, GPU temp, and voltages. If any of them are out of line right up to the crash, that should be telling.
There is an outside chance of a driver error (are your video drivers up to date?) Or another faulty component like blown caps on your motherboard.
Uhhhh let me see, I keep constant backups of all my saves, kind of OCD about it. I can upload a good few and you can run through them if you'd like, might find one that fits ya.
Alright, turns out after digging through my backup saves folder, I have a save that's literally right after you step out of that cave after having completed Wandering In The Dark with the Magic Lamp bonus.
Here ya go: https://www.mediafire.com/?fbhp1yc2bs6ag7p
The only issue might be that I tend to do a lot of side stuff (I'm level 9 in this save). Let me know if it works for ya.
In Witcher 2 at least, there was a symbol next to the main quests if you looked at the journal.
If you look here you can see that the main quests have a shield icon next to them.
http://www.filedropper.com/witcher3save_1
There is Triss romance save file and Yen romance save file. I didn't check Yen file, but it should work (around patch 1.03). Triss is 100% working (around patch 1.06). Most sidemissions done.
Use DS4WIN. It's a program that, once installed, will make Windows recognize your PS4 controller as an Xbox controller. TW2 should work after that, although the button prompts will be for the Xbox.
Lol I'm kidding it's just nice that they have a snazzy little box set of hardbacks like that :P
Also I'm only going to be ordering the UK versions of the books because I feel like putting game artwork on the books is a shitty marketing gimmick by stupid ass US publishers. Every other country gets some original artwork that makes it look like the legit book series that it is, and our publishers are just like "herr derr the game is popular, let's use that!"
EDIT: Just to make my point
I voted for Vladimir Kulich
2nd choice Mads Mikkelsen
Vigo Mortensen wouldn't be bad though... The video game Geralt is just excellent though, I wouldn't mind a CGI film..
And I would have Guillermo del Toro in direct it in my ultimate fantasy.
Alright here it is: http://www.filedropper.com/manualsave0474
For some reason I had 3 saves in my folder so if something is wrong with this one, just tell me and I'll upload the other 2.
You can also go here: http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/30709-%28SPOILERS%29The-Witcher-2-Save-Game-Files and these guys have saves as well, but watch out, there are spoilers at the beginning of the post, so just scroll down quickly and then back up slowly until you get to act 1.
It is coming to the ps5 and series x.

I was having a lot of crashes myself, but managed to play for a few hours last night without major issues. What really helped was doing a clean uninstall/reinstall of Geforce driver 350.12 - Game ready driver for GTA V. That was the last stable version I used before the crashing started - always with a pop up saying the Display Driver crashed. This is on a 970, and I understand the latest patch was supposed to improve performance for the 7xx-gen cards but it's a tradeoff I suppose. So rolling back to the last known stable version is probably your best bet - you'll want to use this utility known as Display Driver Uninstaller - and make sure to restart in safe mode when it asks. I would consider this the nuclear option as it's fairly involved, but it's what worked best for me. You could also try overvolting your card with something like MSI Afterburner. I read that the latest versions of the Geforce drivers are actually undervolting cards, sometimes with catastrophic effects. Also there's an option buried within the Windows control panel - power management for PCI devices, which should be set to max performance. Would be causing a similar thing with underpowering the card, but that didn't seem to help my crashing problem which continued for a few days until I did a clean uninstall and reinstall of Geforce 350.12. Make sure you do a custom, clean install with just the display driver, physx, and the geforce experience utility/3D vision if you use those. Uncheck the HD Audio driver, as that's been reported as causing issues.
I've poured through many pages of forum bug reports to bring you this information, do with it what you will.
For me it was the screensaver/monitor standy while playing with a gamepad. I solved the problem with http://www.softwareok.com/?seite=Microsoft/DontSleep Just set it up so that it prevents turning off the monitor and run it while playing.
Hey man. I'm the original maker of that image. Now its spread all over the internet lol
I could take a stab at doing a monkey. I'll do it for free it I'm thinking something like this but ofc more "witchery" looking.

Edit: can you try those links again in the above post. I need to see if the sharing setting worked.
I feared something like this might happen so I saved all my mods on the google drive. I've uploaded the Enemies of Rivia mod but it'll only stay up for around 2 weeks. As always virus scan the file etc.
Enjoy!
I have found the solution guys!!
Download this metadata.store and make a backup of that file in "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\content" and copy the one which you have downloaded to "content" folder and it should work! It's been extracted from someone who has the patch installed successfully :D
If you want all the music from the game extracted, download this
It's 194 Tracks, 6 Hours of music, 750MB. By the way, Priscilla's song is The Wolven Storm, track 90.
Notepad and Wordpad should work and both have a replace option. Notepad++ is a nice free text editor that I would recommend unless you don't think you'll edit any more text files in the future.
it will be for sure available in book stores for now I found it only on Amazon you can also pre-order on amazon.co.uk: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Witcher-3-Curse-Crows/dp/1506701612/ or amazon.de: https://www.amazon.de/Witcher-3-Curse-Crows/dp/1506701612/

Here’s a set of the first 7 books on amazon Canada.

I’ve only just started reading the books and have only played the games a little until now. The books are, in my opinion, easier to read than fx the game of thrones books. I find the Witcher books, so far, to be a good source for lore and if you research a bit of Slavic folklore, there’s some similarities there as well.
Lots of grammatical errors and general stylistic awkwardness. Just from the opening:
>Kovir during the winter was a foreboding, and treacherous place to be.
The comma is superfluous and breaks the flow of the sentence. I believe you meant "forbidding" (inhospitable), not "foreboding" (portentous).
>The snow covered hills and iced over rivers, yielded almost no food during the season.
Should be "snow-covered" and "iced-over". Another superfluous comma.
>And if hunger didn’t kill you, the various beasts that came out during the winter would. And if they didn’t kill you, the cold would.
Beginning sentences with "and" should be avoided. It kind of works here, but I'm not sure you know why it works, because you do it several more times where it doesn't.
>As such, if one did not brace themselves for it, winter would undo them.
This is a really awkward sentence. "As such" is just hanging there, useless, and the pronouns, while not incorrect, are hard to follow. "If a man did not brace himself for winter, it would undo him," is my suggestion.
Anyway, I'm not going through the whole thing, but I strongly recommend you read a style guide, such as Strunk & White's classic The Elements of Style. Your writing isn't bad at all; lots of nice little touches, like the bird calls being grating to witcher senses. You're creative and good with character voices, but you really need some polish!
Tell me at which part in Skellige you are. This one is after the Mask quest, at the end of Yennefer's Quest on Nightmare
It might be worth adding that the sex scene is not copied and pasted, it has its own cutscene, although it had to be censored for reasons explained here. Anyway, it should not be a major issue, there is a lot more to the game and the relationships than just sex. Also, while the choice does not affect the main (Ciri's) story, only Geralt's ending, it is not entirely fair to say the difference is only a "couple" dialogues, there are about 200 lines specific to the romance path throughout the rest of the game and expansions.
Quote from this interview (@7:27) > There are 3 big regions in the game and everything is contiguous.
I think regions mean thematic regions. Dude with beard said it takes 20 minutes to travel from Novigrad to south of no man's land so I take it means these regions are connected. Btw gallop is about 45 km/h so it would mean it is 15 km distance.
Your circle is wrong. According to this interview there is no one big open world but rather few smaller regions.
There are 3 regions confirmed by gameplay so far:
Another possible region is Kaer Morhen since we saw it on the trailer.
https://kotaku.com/good-video-game-sex-scenes-are-hard-to-make-1794754557
This article gives a bit more insight about sex scene in video games. I should have linked it right away as source for my statement. ^^
Hey man, you're in luck, I never overwrite my savegames in case I need to check something again in the future, so I have a savefile from pretty much anywhere in the game. Here's the LINK! right before Priscilla singing.
Only thing is I play with a bunch of mods, so you'll need THIS! mod if you'll want to play gwent.
About to lift the curse from Uma. Might want to use a potion of clearance to redo the build.
Similar to yours. Lvl36, complete bear/wolf mastercrafted sets.
Maybe not as many potion recipes
Actually as far as I know Gwent rules are similliar to a game called Condottiere, but far more complex. You don't have zones and there's no such thing as a deck building, but the core mechanics are mostly the same. But you can also play with more people at once and there's even a small board included.
It's released by Fantasy Flight Games so it shouldn't be hard to get a hold of a copy.
Some more info here: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/112/condottiere
If you're talking about a copy that is the look and size of this, it looks like December 1, according to Barnes and Noble
You just fill the form and wait, thay want stable number of new accounts every day. But you are out of luck - right now they are fighting SPAM and don't send them.
To make sure you can run it try this website. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/12446/?p=r . They have the recommended system specs listed and an auto detect tool if you don't know what the numbers mean.
Good luck. I love the witcher games too. Havn't finnished the third game yet but i'm blown away of how good it is. You won't be disappointed.

2 saves: one from before entering and one after going. The latter I only got the quests from the board and moved a bit from that town.

Pretty sure I did the side quests for Triss on that save, but I went for Yen, so if you want Triss http://www.filedropper.com/witcher3save
In that last one it's earlier in the story but if you want Triss you can still go for her. Any other part, just ask, I'm the man of the saves (seriously, you are like the 5th I help in 2-3 days)
Poor and little gear, and i think it has past your story line if i get you rigth, which is what i meant with thats its bad. but if you wanna check it out here you go http://www.filedropper.com/manualsave525817df264004a777e1
Edit: you got to unzip it btw
I am so sorry! I read this comment on my phone while I couldn't access the files and then forgot all about it!
Anyway, I remembered it now. Here's the file: http://www.filedropper.com/autosave0224
Hope I didn't make you replay the game...
This save is in the cave where you have to talk to the evil tree spirit. I believe after this quest is when you go talk to the crones for info.
Xbox One is just as buggy as PS4... If you don't believe it take a look at this for example.
CDPR said there are 200 hours of content: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/03/31/the-witcher-3-is-200-hours-long
Player polls rate the "completionist" playthrough at 162 hours: http://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=10270
Every review I've read of the game corroborates these numbers.
I'm not denying that the game can be rushed. Of course it can. But to say there isn't enough content to support a 150-200 hour playthrough (or that such a playthrough requires you to play "slowly") is false.
Quests require you to travel between points, track things with your witcher senses, craft items, read logs, talk to NPCs, etc. That all takes up time (even though you might not notice it).
The latest nvidia drivers 364.72 seem to be bad for a lot of people i use 362.00 and it's running well on my 970. You could try http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/36088-A-compendium-of-tweaks-and-fixes-for-the-PC-version?p=1658887#post1658887 Also when you uninstall the nvidia drivers try doing it with DDU and if you use nvidia experience do this http://www.ghacks.net/2015/12/27/disable-nvidia-streamer-service-to-improve-video-card-performance/ . And there are some other win 10 tweeks
>What an embarrassing way to show everyone you have no idea what "pearl clutching" means
> I'm alright with my Arthurian legends
The thing is (and in a sense it's very important too, when you finally meet characters Nimue and Condwiramurs) there is no single version of Arthurian legends, but many of them, as Sapkowski explains in his essay (I'm saying essay, but it has a size of a small book really).
But if you more or less know who are The Lady of the Lake and Fisher King, what is Avalon, and the symbolism of the mist (I guess Sapkowski get the idea from The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, of which he speaks very highly IIRC) you are probably good to go.
> Do you know if it's in English?
I did a some research, and I actually was able to find short story Maladie/Malady that comes with the essay, but sadly no essay (which, I repeat, has the size of a small book).
