If you don't wanna lose contact with your friend use the xbox app. It has the same interface and features as the console. You can even use xbox live parties with your phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass
I think that the reason is entirely legal, Microsoft's Xbox has an Official App and they could have reported you soon as you upload yours. It doesn't matter if you app is similar or not Google removed it before any trouble.
For example my app "Irodoku" had references to "Sudoku" and they took down the publish and sent me and email. I edited it and I had no problem since then.
Pausing the publish is one thing but removing the entire account is far beyond a single logo/slogan copyright infliction. Must likely they don't say much at the support to avoid any further legal problem in case you wanted you sue them and use the support chat in court, every country has different laws and they don't want any risk (remember when google exec went to prison in Brazil?)
There are many other places to publish but still consider what you should change to avoid getting reported again.
Also consider China, google has no power in there and their laws doesn't give a shit about outside corporations, cons: everything is in Chinese.
Use Xbox Smartglass, if the console is on the same network as your phone, you can turn it on with the app
AutoInput just simulates the touches in Smartglass for me
I believe if you download the Xbox App you can join party's and talk to people.
Download the xbox app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass)
Launch the app and go to "My library"
Click on consoles and add your console
After that, you have an option to "remote play on this device"
Here's the video tutorial if you are stuck https://youtu.be/nBUivx_GlWs
The app is Xbox on the play store. Made by Microsoft. Dont know about the cast options. It is cool that you can connect your wireless controller to your phone with Bluetooth though!! Xbox app on playstore
Step 1: Hit that home button and press Y to take a screen shot
Step 2: You're clearly taking a photo of your screen with a phone. Instead, download the xbox companion.

Step 3: wait for your capture to upload.
Step 4: open your xbox app, open the hamburger menu, select 'captures'. See image 1
Step 5: smack that share button. See image 2
I play on Xbox. Screenshot is from android app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass&hl=cs
I don't see the rewards in the Xbox app - when i go to my profile, i can see gamerscore and recently play etc but can't see the rewards. I assume that app is what i should be using
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass&hl
Might try wiping cache on app or un-install/install again
It's not available to everyone. You get it via the xbox phone app. There's 2 phone apps, one for Game Pass and another just called xbox...
Once installed it can be found when you click on your profile picture (bottom right of app) It'll show current balance and then below that it'll say "Earn Rewards".
If they have put you on this then you'll see points for
"Tap here to play +5" (Jewel game)
"Play a PC game +10"
"Play with friends on PC +100"
"Use the Xbox app +5".
Below that is a section called Bonus points for
"linking a social account"
"Keep 7+ friends"
"Subscribe to Xbox Game Pass".
If you do all 3 of those then you can get around 300 points a day.
You'll need the Xbox application.

Once you take a screenshot, you'll get a notification directly on your phone for that.
Have you tried any of the currently available Xbox apps? There's a standard app and a beta version. Maybe one of them still retains some of the SmartGlass functionality.
If you're feeling daring, you could also try seeking out an .apk for the SmartGlass app itself.
To be honest I don't really know what this Xbox live thing really is and on my phone I didn't have any issue in the first place. I only have this app installed: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass
Not on the beta version (at least I haven't found how to do so if it's actually possible) but you can change it through the regular Xbox App
Got my code today in the Xbox mobile app. It sent a notification to my lockscreen, so there's no way you can miss it when it comes. (Nothing was sent to my email, btw.)

See if that links work, because google says android still has an app, I don’t have android so I can’t find out.
Yes, quite useful. You can compare your gamescore with friends, chat with friends, start parties, etc...just like on xbox, but you don´t have to interrupt your game :)

Are you on PC or XBOX?
I cant speak for Xbox users but as a PC user, you have to download the Xbox app here: ~~https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass&hl=en~~
Edit I may have provided the wrong link.
This is the correct one
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/xbox/9wzdncrfjbd8
Create an account/log on and find the game, then it should automatically start to download
It already exists. Connect your phone to the same wifi as your Xbox, hit connect, then pull up the chat box with the app open.
SmartGlass is available for all of the major mobile operating systems
(have both an Android and WP device and use it on both)

When you click on a text box using the controller if you have the app open it'll pull up a text window that you can used to type on your phone. This makes bios and names a lot faster to create therefore removing the hassle. Also you can copy and paste using your phone so you can take text from online and use it to speed the process.

Ah the dreaded XBL Privacy Settings. Had this issue come up so many times.
First things first, there's an issue where using a 'Power Saving' mode on your phone/tablet prevents the xbox app from running in the background, which is needed to sign you in properly.
Try the following and see if that works:
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ .
If you still have problems, you might need to adjust the settings for your family.
Head to the XBOX Live settings page - You should see you and your family members there. Choose the account you want to change, and go through and make sure the relevant boxs are ticked.
Probably best to check all three columns; Privacy, XBOX One Online Safety, and XBOX 360 Online Safety. (Screenshot of what it looks like) Pay particular attention to the 'Join multiplayer games' settings.
Hope you can get it sorted!
It was removed. There is an app just called Xbox though that replaced it.

Sorry I forgot they changed the name. Mine still says "Smartglass" and I use it on my XBONE
Kind of random, but you could add Play Store and App Store links for the SmartGlass apps in the SmartGlass section!

The screenshot looks like it's registering a 'press and hold' rather than just a 'press' on the Xbox button. Instead of using the Xbox button on your controller, you might try pressing the on-screen Xbox button in the top left to see if that brings up the Guide instead. If you tap on your screen around the top left below the time displayed, an Xbox button should appear as well as an ellipsis menu (where you would normally be able to unmute your mic and quit the session). If it doesn't, double check the Xbox app is updated or try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
As for the controller, it may come down to something to do with accessibility options (even something like auto-rotate can have an effect) as mentioned in the first link. If toggling everything doesn't work, waiting for Android 12 may be the solution.
Otherwise, since remote play is no longer in Preview, all the content can be found on Xbox.com such as over here: https://www.xbox.com/consoles/remote-play and here: https://support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-remote-play-gaming so there may be something that can help there.
A link from the store xbox app
Use Xbox remote play, but I’m not sure if it will detect a gamepad correctly on Chromebook.

> Never heard of Netflix running inside Home environment. I wonder how that works.
A bit of history:
Earlier this year I noticed that if you loaded up the Amazon Appstore app in Oculus TV and used it to launch other Android apps, they would launch on a virtual screen inside of Oculus Home instead of Oculus TV.
A little after that, someone figured out how to do it manually.
The very first example of this behaviour (I think) was seen with the Android Xbox app. If you sideload it so you can log in and play Minecraft online it has always launched on a nice curved virtual screen right inside Oculus Home.
It was an interesting curiosity, and constituted a preference for some people, but something has changed in the latest OS updates that makes it more practical.
First, Oculus Quest has completely dropped the Oculus TV environment, so when you load Oculus TV on that device now you're still in Oculus Home. Everything you subsequently launch runs there too now. Second, the Unknown Sources section of the Oculus Home Library now picks up standard Android apps instead of filtering for sideloaded VR apps only, and when you launch them from there they display directly inside the Home environment even on Go. And I would be surprised if the Oculus TV environment gets deprecated on Go eventually too.
One of the advantages of this is that you no longer need to use launcher apps like AppStarter and Sideload Launcher (or create special dedicated launcher apps) in order to launch standard Android apps that don't identify as Android TV apps. And you don't even need to launch Oculus TV first. So not only is it easier, it's the easier advice to give to others now :)
You need to get the xbox live account https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass
It tell you this for you to be able to get friends to play with
This Is the Xbox Android App. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass
There is no way to revert. The Xbox One version of Smartglass is most definitely still on the play store.
Check out "Xbox One SmartGlass" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass
