I bought this after a bit of searching.
The battery is insane I think 20 hours. But I just return it back to the dock after my session
It doesn't give much more stability, but the seller says it helps the lower ventilation. Since the console is behind the tv, I think every help to prevent heat is good. Let's see if it really works.
it's a decent budget 4k. 60 hz. Fairly low response rate. <$600 USD. It's a great option if you prefer resolution over framerate. I have a 1440p/120hz monitor I haven't used with it... I honestly am not one of the people that can tell 60 vs. 120 hz.
There's lots of them under $200, you're just not going to get any that's 1440p. Here's a 1080p one that's just under $200 https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C24G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD7H18F/ref=sr\_1\_6\_mod\_primary\_new?dchild=1&keywords=1080p+120hz+monitor&qid=1624428148&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sr=8-6
I'm pretty sure you can get an HDMI audio extractor and use either toslink or 3.5mm audio. I have one because I used to need it as a workaround for an Asus Chromebit with HDMI audio but I only had 3.5mm speakers. This is almost exactly the same as the one i have. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Audio-Stereo-Extractor-Converter/dp/B07KRWYN4R/ref=sr\_1\_4?dchild=1&keywords=hdmi+audio+extractor&qid=1621617459&sr=8-4
No Man's Sky got a next gen patch that enables a 60fps mode on the Series S.
Haven't tried it myself but here's the info from their site https://www.nomanssky.com/next-generation-update/ . Just search for Series S.
Download the xbox app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass)
Launch the app and go to "My library"
Click on consoles and add your console
After that, you have an option to "remote play on this device"
Here's the video tutorial if you are stuck https://youtu.be/nBUivx_GlWs
I use this monitor. 1440p, 120hz, VRR. Works amazingly and was pretty cheap. Also has HDR but Xbox is dumb and won't allow HDR unless it's set to 4k and it's only 1440p so it won't let you. Hopefully in the future Microsoft allows HDR with 1440p and 1080p.
I say my controller replacement schedule is right about the same as you. I've been thinking about this one when the time comes.

HDMI 2.1 cables will be under the name “ultra high speed hdmi”. “Ultra” being the key word. They should say they are capable of 48/gig/s. I bought mine from Amazon. (See below) I was amazed how crazy thick these cables were. Really high quality. I hear Monoprice has good cables too. I’ve used them in the past, but needed a 15 foot cable and they didn’t have one available at the time I bought.

Off topic but is your sky box loud😂 I’ve had to get up a few times just to reassure my self that the series s is still silent and it’s the bloody sky box making a racket.
T7 should be enough just note you can't run series x or s games from it, I purchased this currently £80.00 if you've got Amazon Prime. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Netac-External-Portable-Storage-Compatible/dp/B08BJ1S5CP/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=netac+portable+1tb+ssd&qid=1621208011&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzQ0tUOFdSUzQ4NEU0J...
I still use the £99 Asus 1080p/60GHz gaming monitor, but intend on an upgrade in the future to a 1440p/120GHz model, or even a 1080p/120GHz.
I like a 21.5" monitor, as it fits on my shelf, & is easy to pack, & move around if needs be.
Standard cable, just Google ‘UK power cable figure 8’ and there’s thousands to choose from from as little as £3-£4.

Yep, I ordered the PowerA one - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08J8992SD/ - although it seems out of stock (on Amazon at least) at the current time. I had their old XB1 version and it worked great for me and reviews seem good.
I’m not sure but I agree Xbox should have internal rechargeable battery on their controllers by now

I use this one for all my back compat. games, run everything from original Xbox all the way up to Xbox One like a charm with a couple on quick resume and no issues.
No, this won’t work for you. This hard drive is USB-C and the Xbox needs USB-A.
Search for USB A Xbox hard drives, something like this.
I use this one for my Xbox, TV, and external storage. It hasn’t been damaged yet by any power outages etc. I mean, surge protectors are designed to be hit first but it’s still possible for a surge to bypass if it damages it enough and whatever else on it.
This is the one I bought, Is yours of the same model?
I think they mean something like this https://www.amazon.ca/Uberwith-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Controller-Compatible/dp/B08B8W48KY
Idk about the razer headset but u have the original wireless headset from xbox.
I have the artics 9x and they are doing a good job.
Yeah it should. But won't look great IMO.
HDMI switch (not a splitter) is basically like a little USB hub. You can connect your xbox and pc to it, and then connect the HDMI switch to your screens HDMI input.
I live in a 3rd world country and you can cheap HDMI switches at most department stores here easily. Check out stores that sell TVs etc...

I highly recommend the Wheel Stand Pro stand. It’s very well built and very sturdy.

I don't bother buying the external hard drives that mention anything with the brand Gaming on the packaging. I usually buy something like this that costs cheaper and does the job https://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-HDTB440EK3CA-2-5-Inch-Portable-External/dp/B07KPM58FX/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3JFDCY285UPQE&keywords=external+hard+drive+4tb&qid=1668809937&sprefix=external+%2Caps%2C115&sr=8-3
No, into a wall socket. There's an antenna that picks up the signal, a button to sync with the wi-fi, and a LAN Port. It was either this model, or something like it:
I have been using these for the last 2 months , they are solid. I think they last about 4- 5 hours if I'm not wrong (just from experience so I might be wrong). But either they are good
https://www.amazon.com/GameSir-Controller-Rechargeable-Lithium-ion-Indicator-Xbox/dp/B091513Y22
I bought this kind of battery, not from Amazon off course. USB C can charged directly to it and it's a pair...really save my days.
So, I use a Toshiba Canvio HDD, in 4TB size. It normally retails for about $90, with the smaller, 2TB version selling for $60.
https://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Canvio-Portable-External-HDTB440XK3CA/dp/B07KQPKJXH?th=1
However, I picked up mine during a sale for around $60, which is a hell of a lot of storage for the money. With Black Friday and Cyber sales coming up soon, it might behoove you to wait for those and shop around to get the most storage for your money.
For your storage device, just remember: USB 3.0, and at least 128 GB capacity. I read those specs off the system directly. Don't forget to format your storage device with the console before attempting to download games.
One minor thing about Gamepass, mwhich I'd actually forgotten about: there are sales and discounts exclusive to Gamepass members. If you buy a Series S new, there's a code for a first month of GP for $1. So, what you can do is wait for a sale where there's a bunch of games you want to add to your library, redeem the code to set up GP for a month, buy up the games at the discounted price, then unsubscribe from GP before the end of that month. You keep the games, build up your library, and save some cash.
If you arent sure if its legit here there is a option by amazon
I think the official one I'm thinking of is actually an internal/expansion card anyways. expansion card
If it's just an external drive that connects with a cable you can probably hook it up to a PC and format it as suggested above.
There is also a bit of an unethical way to resolve the issue. Buy a new one and return the old one using the new packaging provided its the same model and brand.
It sounds like the drive may have a read problem and that's basically non fixable and requires a new one. Usually scratches to the disk, vibration/shock, head alignment issues cause this.
Not the individual usb devices themselves but say they are attached at same time unit is playing a high performance game one of these would likely draw a good few extra volts. Be interesting to know if the units with failed psu had any ancillaries attached at the same time,
The fan could blow dust in the xbox just get some normal rechargeble batteries im happy with this one https://www.amazon.de/Controller-Capacity-Rechargeable-Batteries-Compatible-Green/dp/B09F2ZMTBN/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=Wiederaufladbare+batterie+Xbox-controller&qid=1666128524&sr=8-8
2 more months until Black Friday. Go out and get a decent external HDD when they're on sale.
I use this:
Prices are in Canadian, but I got it on sale for $65 last Black Friday, has worked mint ever since on my One X and Series S.
LG 32GN650-B (or whatever model number your area has). I use it with a series X to play games at 1080-1440p and 120hz with VRR on. HDR is crap, but I say that being spoiled with an LG B9 I use sometimes.

You can easily find this one on sale.
I'm ordering the LG Ultragear 24GN650-B. 24" 1080p 144Hz, VRR and has "HDR" although I heard HDR on monitors isn't that good but who knows you might like it. He's an Amazon link:

Listed at $177 so should be just about right. Also the screen is pretty thin, which is another reason why I bought it, since I'm mounting it on the wall at my desk

Yeah playing on a monitor is the way to go. I can't go back to my 4K tv after playing in front of a good monitor. Also older games do not look "worse" on a 1440p monitor. Is your samsung a gaming monitor? If not I can suggest getting a 1440p gaming monitor for your S especially if you also use it for your pc as well. A regular 60hz monitor is ok for gaming but lacks the higher refresh rate and AMD Freesync Premium which is a feature you want. 27" 1440p is the sweat spot as 24" 1080p is fine but the price difference may only be $50. Here is one I picked up and it looks fantastic for S and PC

Considered the best budget 1440p monitor around. Currently for sale for about $279
Another highly rated 1440p monitor from LG. Usually around $299.
Both monitors suggested are IPS panels with decent viewing angles and color accuracy if you want to use it for other things other than gaming.
Not the best HDR.
I’ve had issues with my phone as a hotspot in the past when I travel. It had worked for me in the past, but I switched from A to V provider and saw significant problems connecting my XSX. I’m not sure if it’s something my current provider blocks, but I could stream Hulu etc from my phone to TV without issue. I’ve since tried to connect my my XSX using the hotspot utilizing a NordVPN and it seemed to resolve the connection issues. I also took it a step further and got a travel router (Glinet Beryl (GL-MT1300). It lets me connect multiple devices simultaneously and haven’t had any issues.
A few months ago I bought a monitor to suit 1440p 120fps at the maximum for my series s. This is said monitor. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08H9TJ1WF/ref=dp_cr_wdg_tit_rfb I highly recommend this monitor as it perfectly suits casual high definition gameplay. Or if you play multiplayer games a lot it can run 1080p 120fps if that suits you. Hope this helps!
Well, you could just get this one https://www.amazon.com/GFV22CB-Ultra-Compact-G-Sync-Compatible-FreeSync-Zero-Tolerance/dp/B092DT75WX/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=22SRDE3DOGV3J&keywords=VIOTEK&qid=1657460035&s=electronics&sprefix=viotek%2Celectronics%2C142&sr=1-1-spons&smid=A1BVYXEL822RF0&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExWlFTVElCU1JSVDNHJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjI3MjgyMThOSzhJMjlKQ0tMRSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzk0MzE5QUMyNE03TEo1R0M2JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1. It's cheap but worth the price. My only complaint is although it says 165hz it only goes up to 120hz, and the display port source is not working for me. You also need to change the colors, brightness, and contrast to your liking.

This is what I got and use for both my S and my X. They last quite a long time and the three it comes with are plenty for both systems. With one system, you will whiteout a doubt never have issues having a charged battery pack on standby. I have had these for a while now and haven't had a single issue with them.
You can't charge non rechargable AA batteries. They're done when empty and ready for the bin. Buy yourself a rechargable pack or just good old rechargable set and a charger. I have a Duracell charger and 2 sets of rechargable AA Duracell batteries. When one set goes empty i just switch them and charge the empty set. It's also good to have in your house for stuff like remotes etc.
https://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Battery-Charger-Batteries-batteries/dp/B00DTE6QSY
Its this one. I got it a few years back. I use it more than my main tv do to being able to prop it anywhere in the house.
I have a 4k LG uk6300pue 55 inch tv and have this issue too. Its a handshake issue between the tv and console. To by pass I bought this specific piece.

I agree. This is what I used to relieve me of the micro usb nuisance. Anything that has a micro usb, I just leave the tip in, then I use the magnetic charger. Works like a charm, and I don’t have to worry about damaging the micro USB port.

You cannot play on the controller that is connected to your Mayflash. So you need to get another controller. You can probably get a cheap third party controller and connect it to your Mayflash.

Yes the chipset can handle 90 degrees Celsius. That’s closer to 185-190 degrees off top of my head. You can buy a cooling fan from Amazon. It works. I did a paper test with Series S on an paper floats on vent like an air hockey puck. Which tells me air is circulating.

It comes with 4 AA batteries so you already have a second set if you get a second controller. You can also use them for whatever device needs AA's in your house. Way more versatile and cheaper than controller specific rechargeables

I don’t use stands but works awesome. I wrote a 2 paragraph explaining and while back and forth lost the Reddit comment section. So At full tilt and case altered you can get a 30% temp difference. As the PSU isn’t a heavyweight max 165w. It still has no cooling other than draft. That’s not ok with me. Either puller or pusher should flow over those components. This was my plan first time seeing Series S. Dual side fans and a main fan manual controller. While chipset can see 80-90 Celsius easy. Heat still degrades chipsets. Strong believer as why my PS4 doesn’t sound like a jet with its own fan mod (idle main menu loud during games ) most of those die from degradation period. And cleaning. Do what you want but that fan above works well. Some bad bunches have said fans stop working but they can be replaced as I’ve been inside to see wiring and that won’t be an issue to swap another set of fans and go.
As for the puller fans I see on the X. Those hold back flow even though it’s attempting to draw heat from the internal fan. RPM’s make a difference here. Some sort of bottom pusher fan on X would be ideal.
I really like the official Xbox chat headset, very light and comfortable, sound and mic quality is solid. It connects to the special port at the bottom of the controller and has a very handy mute button there.

OMG - dont ask this here...
Okay, i havent ask an got the same "hints"..
it seems that the area up is not high enough, ms says 10-15 cm . I've got only 9cm..
BUT, thats my hint, because i dont want place the box on another place or buy another cabinet: a USB-fan.. i bought this ELUTENG Double PC Fan USB 3 Speed Adjustable 8 cm Fan 2 in 1 Mini Fan Quiet with Metal Grill 5V Fan 2700RPM Compatible with Laptop / PS4 / TV Box / AV Cabinet / Router https://www.amazon.de/dp/B073WDL6BV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_2Z9QCZW3DS73XS02DAHE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Only for blow out the hot air, they stay behind the xbox big fan and its okay. The "roof of the cabinet" isnt hot any more, there is much more airflow. Didnt put it on the side, the hot air must go out, not the cool in.
