Xbox lets you upgrade your live to gold for a dollar or $14 if youve done it before. You can buy XBL Brazil codes from cdkeys for like 40 bucks a year. Redeem them with a VPN, boom you have 3 years of gold. Then upgrade all of it to ultimate for a dollar. Only lets you do 3 years max. Me and my friends all have 3 years of GPU sitting now
Outcast - Second Contact on Steam:
Outcast - Second Contact is an action game with a sci-fi theme and detailed 3D graphics. Features a remake of the original Outcast from 1999 with a modern engine, graphical overhaul, some quality of life and other improvements; a large open world with 6 continents; non-linear progression/exploration; and a ~18-20 hour typical play through.
Steam reviews suggest this game has great nostalgic action RPG gameplay; a good story and atmosphere that many enjoy; ahead of its time gameplay and environments that are surpassed though by modern standards; great graphics and sound with some legacy rough edges still present; improved combat that's alright, but not great; a significantly improved interface; and is overall a great update to the original, but still carries many of the original's short comings.
Deal matches the historical low based on ITAD. Was free from Humble Store late-November 2018 and is currently a free Xbox One <em>Games with Gold</em> game. Previously featured by Chrono.gg in October 2018 at $12.
Probably worth considering for fans of the original and those who appreciate gaming history.
Once you convert to Game Pass Ultimate, I thought Gold to GPU conversion rates apply.
1 month of Gold converts to 20 days of GPU
3 months of Gold = 50 days of GPU
And so on...
Yes
"Text and Voice Communications: The player used vulgar, hateful, harassing, or threatening language in voice or text communications. Video Communications: The player was vulgar, hateful, harassing, or threatening in video communications."
The claim that they were pulled from XBL is incorrect. Currently Fall of Cybertron, Rise of the Dark Spark and a bunch of other Transformers games are part of a XBL Sale.
Forza Motorsport 7 Ultimate Edition is only $4 more if you happen to have a Gold subscription. It's definitely a way better deal than the standard ed.
They are also part of the Play Anywhere program which means you can play them on both Xbox and PC
I'm personally trying to decide if I should pick up Forza or the Need for Speed bundle myself, but I'm leaning towards Forza because of Play Anywhere
Btw you can stack up to 3 years of Xbox Live Gold and upgrade it to GamePass Ultimate for only $1. Just make sure you have no active GamePass subscription when adding Xbox Live Gold to your account - otherwise the conversion ratio would be 3:1 instead of 1:1.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/games-with-gold You can scroll to the bottom black and read.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Games_with_Gold_games "Unlike Xbox 360 Games with Gold releases, Xbox One users must maintain their Xbox Live Gold memberships in order to keep access to downloaded titles"
Sometimes research is all it takes. Took me 2 minutes by the way. :)
You really didn't think this one through didn't you? GPU does NOT offer a subscription for a year, unlike PS Now and Plus, which retail at $60 a year each. Even Xbox Live Gold doesn't have a yearly option, Microsoft sneakly removed it shortly after the XSX/S's launch, it's only available in physical and online stores until they run out.
It is a free trial period, along with the sales for the full game. Is there a Demo version you see anywhere? That's how they have it on PS4.
Also, you might want to change your flair to Question or something. Ubi-Response flair is for when a Ubi Rep answers someone's post and it gets changed to that. It doesn't summon them, they won't search by it since it means that post was already answered. Regardless, they don't answer questions here anyways, not like they used to, and they definitely won't answer any posts at midnight EDT on the weekend.
Edit: You also need an active Xbox Live Gold membership to access the Free Play Days on Xbox.
>"You can find and install the games here on Xbox.com. Clicking through will send you to the Microsoft Store, where you must be signed in to see the option to install with your Xbox Live Gold membership. To download on console, click on the Gold member area on the home dashboard on your Xbox One."

I know this might be surprising to you but Xbox Live for Xbox One is available only in about 49 countries. There is 195 on planet earth ^so ^far . I happen to be from a country where Xbox One is not officially available, and living in one where Xbox One is not available too.
List of countries where Xbox Live is available for Xbox One: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/countries
That is only for 360 games. Xbox One games require a gold subscription to access.
>On Xbox One, active Gold membership required to play free games you’ve redeemed.
Per the gold page at the bottom in small print.
It's 3:1 or 3:2:
1 month of Gold = 20 days of Ultimate
3 months of Gold = 50 days of Ultimate (1+ month)
6 months of Gold = 79 days of Ultimate (2+ months)
12 months of Gold = 4 months of Ultimate
24 months of Gold = 8 months of Ultimate
Hi KG!
There's no such thing as a stupid question!
The Xbox community is very friendly and we're always happy to help.
A lot of new friends are coming to the Xbox community, and it's normal to have questions about certain functions, do not hesitate to ask.
Using the console:
"My Games and Apps" > "Full Library" > "Games With Gold".
Using a web browser:

Cheers!
It's pretty easy, just click link below, you click, log in to your xbox account convert your gold membership for a $1. I did that and I have ultimate until August 2021. Microsoft reckons that once you try out the program that you will stick around and, at least in respect to me, they are right.
I was similar in respect to gaming. I went a whole year without buying a new game but after ultimate I found it actually made me game more as I try out games that I would have otherwise ignored like Gears Tactics.
Conversion chart here - https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
3 month code converts to 50 not 60 days because it is based on MSRP so both options ending costing 400 points a day.
20k/50 = 400 24k/60 = 400
As Microsoft doesn't offer Xbox services in eastern europe (and many other parts of the world), it seems the Xbox game pass on PC is also not available here.
You will have to change your xbox account region to one of supported countries (I guess these?) and get payment method of that country before you can buy game pass.
When I found this out, I couldn't be bothered with Microsoft.
4 games a month (2 360 BC games, 2XB1 games). The 360 BC games are yours to keep forever, the XB1 games become unavailable to you if you let your gold subscription lapse.

Ongoing discounts to all sorts of games, sometimes up to 75% off stuff, and often 10% off really new stuff
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/deals-with-gold
It used to be required for Netflix and stuff, but that's no longer the case, fortunately.
That's it if you are 100% never going to play online.
here is the official statement from microsoft:
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Please note that the conversation rate becomes worse if you add gold to a active gamepass ultimate subscription, make sure you do it in the correct order to get the 1-1 conversation rate :)
How it worked at least before was you had to wait until GPU expired before it could go again (so remember to turn off auto-renew).
Many have said they did it again after it expired, but it's not something that is a permanent deal either, so could stop working at pretty much any time.
Even in the small print of this page it says "Promotional offers may be for new members only and/or not be valid for all members and are only available for a limited time."
Imo the best option would be 3 months of xbox live gold and then convert it to Game Pass Ultimate for $1. Except you already have an active GPU subscription (in that case don't convert).
You have to do it through the upgrade option on the xbox website. It's a bit of a pain, costs $1 up front, and you don't get 1:1 credit for your remaining time anymore.
I have game pass ultimate. I no longer pay for xbox live gold. They offer you an "upgrade" deal where you pay $1 to upgrade all your final months of xbox live gold. It is an amazing deal. You can add up to 36 months of xbox live gold (go buy 12 month codes) then convert all 36 months to game pass utlimate for just $1. You can get 12 months of gold for around $45 if you do some shopping. So $135+1 gets you 3 years of game pass ultimate which is $540 if you paid monthly.
So they are already merged. You only need to pay for game pass ultimate. Which is cheaper than paying separately which you can still do. It is $15 a month vs $10+$10.
They did away with the 12 month option for gold because they want to shift people into the game pass ultimate.
It is IF XGPU is included. Sure is.
I already took advantage of the $1 conversion promotion (from Gold to XGPU) and am good until June 2022. But $20 is $20 /s ... AND now I'm open to just subscribing.
You can convert your entire stock of Xbox live into ultimate for $1. Up to 3 years max.
Just 2 months ago, I turned 3 years of live to 3 years of ultimate (live and game pass) for $1.07.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Find a cheap year of gold, convert for a dollar, profit. Personally, I think it'd be worth it for game pass alone on PC. But that's just my opinion.
What happens to my Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass memberships once I upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
When you join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, we will apply any prepaid time you have on Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass toward Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, up to a maximum of 36 months.
For example, if you have 3 months of Xbox Live Gold and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass already on your account when you purchase your first month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you will have a total of 7 months of Ultimate on your account before you need to renew your membership.

Purchase of Ultimate plan automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass membership(s) to Ultimate at a conversion ratio each based on days remaining. Learn how this works at www.xbox.com/gamepass. Future code redemptions are also subject to a conversion ratio. Conversion ratio subject to change. All conversions to Ultimate are final: Once converted, you cannot re-convert your Ultimate membership back to a previous membership. Maximum 36 months of redeemed Ultimate per account at a time, including any converted time from Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass (for PC or console).
It would extend your game pass ultimate but for a shorter time, they have a conversion chart online so you can see.
Edit: they have the answer on the website, https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade. Hope this helps.
Gold will convert into Game Pass at a 1:1 ratio IF you do not have Game Pass active. I see a lot of people saying that you can turn your Gold into Game Pass 1:1 with your first use of the promo by pre-applying your Gold and then using the promo. This is true, but it also works after you have used the promo.
I tried Game Pass with the 3 months for $3 stacking deal that came up early, and was surprised to later see the 1:1 Gold to Game Pass posts afterwards. I let my Game pass trial end, then bought and applied a 12 month Gold code (it added a bonus month for auto-renew), and then applied a 3 month Game Pass code. It turned all of the Gold into Game pass, so I now have 16 months of Pass (12+1+3 game pass conversion).
If you try to apply another 12 month Gold code while you have Game Pass active, it will convert to 4 months of Game pass. You must be out of any existing Game Pass for the 1:1 ratio to work. You can find their conversion ratio here by scrolling down to the FAQ under the heading After I join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, can I still redeem Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass codes?
Xbox 360 supports external USB HDD or USB Flash Drives also in case you need more space.
I don't download or save anything in that 4GB cause I think it is eMMC flash memory and it is hard to replace it (like need to open it up and solder it, etc.)
I keep a cheap USB Western Digital HDD plugged into it at all times, but it is mostly due to my games being digital (I get free games from Games With Gold - https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold and https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold#gameswithgold ). Like this month they gave out Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and I like it a lot. You can play it even after your subscription expires.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold#gameswithgold is where I always find them. Major Nelson also always announces them ahead of time on his site https://majornelson.com/
However if you're on your Xbox you go into your games and apps section there's an area dedicated to GWG and your other subscriptions (EA Access, GP, etc.) and you can download the games from there.
You mentioned you're from Uzbekistan. According to this list your country is not supported by Xbox Live. There's also a possibility your government is way too much into internet censorship as well as Microsoft actively blocking VPN users from connecting to their services.
Adding to what u/MALON said, if you fail launching Xbox Live while being connected to a VPN on your PC you could try setting up a VPN on your router rather than on your PC. Not all routers offer that option though.
Alternatively, if you have an Android phone you can install VPN on your phone, set up a wifi hotspot and connect to it from your PC. This obviously won't be the most comfortable network setup for gaming, but if you get it to work, other options like using a router that support custom VPN connections should work too.
It's part of Games with Gold. There aren't almost ever games 100% off via discount, they're pretty much always a Game with Gold. All GwG can be found here when active:
Xbox One's Games With Gold titles revealed for August - By Xbox Corporate for Xbox.com (and embellished by me)
August's Games with Gold have been revealed! Death Squared continues its run from last month through to the 15th, with Dead Space 3 being added for the first half of August (it's a 360 game but it has XBO B/C). For the ENTIRETY of the month we've got Forza Horizon 2; I've played this game and I MIGHT like it better than 3 because of the location alone! For the back half of the months we have Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for Xbox 360 (another b/c title), and for the back half of August and the first half of September we'll be getting For Honor, a game whose title I always seem to read like it's part of a Braveheart speech. FOR HONOR!!!!
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/quests
Log in and it will show you your progress on the quests (except multiplayer until too late to do anything). It was good to know I completed the first two challenges.
Only 360 games. Xbox One games stop after the subscription lapses.
> On Xbox One, active Gold membership required to play free games you’ve redeemed.

And PSNow is something completely different than PS+. PSNow is their streaming service. Did you mean to talk about that or did you mean the free games from PS+?
I right there with ya. I won’t get this again unless I get another surgery next year!

If you have Xbox Live Gold upgrade it to Game Pass Ultimate for $1 or with 1 month of GPU.
You can stack up to 36 months of Live Gold before the conversion. If you want to renew later, make sure to wait till GPU has expired before adding Xbox Live Gold to your account.
https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live/gold/upgrade
As already mentioned, for best results apply as much Xbox Live Gold as you possibly can first as it will convert the lot (up to three years' worth). Leave on recurring billing when asked (which may get you an extra month), then turn off recurring billing - you don't want it to renew at full price when the time is up. If you can't afford much Xbox Live Gold at the moment, you should be able to do the same again once it expires.
As an example of the saving, at full price Xbox Live Gold is £50 per year and Gamepass Ultimate is £11 per month (so £132 per year). If you max out Gold then convert, that's £151 for £396 worth of Ultimate. The minimum saving there is £245. You should be able to pick up a year of Gold for less than full price (eg £43 at CDKeys), making the saving even greater.
Your friend just bought you Gold to play online, which is all that's required for that. Other things that Gold gets you is access to Games with Gold, which is 4 free games per month (usually 2 Xbox 360 games, 2 Xbox One games and you keep the 360 ones forever but you need to have a running Gold subscription to be able to play the Xbox One games).
If you login to the MS website and your account
Use PC/Mac website had issues doing it at first via Xbox. Once you login check your account for subscriptions and see if it only shows Xbox Live. Then it may have link for Gamepass Ultimate next to it if not
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Tu peux seulement convertir max 3 ans de gold pour 1:1 à la fois.
Xbox Live Gold is still a thing, that says “play together”and enables online multiplayer.
Perhaps you are considering the exception case that was d2 on Game Pass?
I’m not calling you a liar, but when the game in question is the <em>first example</em> on the official page that backs me up, I do in fact get to rest my case.
Maybe it was. It’s obviously not now.
You have to do it in this order:
If you have an active Game Pass subscription and attempt to apply Gold time, I think you'll be given a 4:1 conversion (12 months Gold converts to 3 months of GPU).
>$180 a year = 3 AAA games
You can get Game Pass Ultimate for only $60-$65 a year. All you need to do is stacking up to 36 months of Xbox Gold Live and convert it to Game Pass Ultimate for $1 (once) or 1 months of GPU ($15, to convert multiple times). It also works with PC because Ultimate includes Xbox + PC Game Pass. Technically you could get it even cheaper via key resellers. I paid only $126 for 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate. The value is insane, it feels a bit like robbing Microsoft.
Are you a Gold member or an Ultimate member currently? If you are Gold member and you add an Ultimate Game Pass code, it should upgrade all of your Gold to Ultimate that is on your existing account plus the value o the Ultimate. I do it differently, I let my Ultimate expire and then I wait a day and add Gold codes and then do the Upgrade to Ultimate promotion and it converts all of the Gold I add to Ultimate. The official site is here: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
May get 1 or 2 months of Game Pass and check out some games that look interesting to you.
If you have Xbox Live Gold already, you can upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate for $1.
Buy Xbox live cards at retailers. You can check sites like Slickdeals to see if you can find it for less. I know Costco used to sell 24 months for $95 but expect to pay $180 for the full 3 years otherwise. Then you can convert it for $1. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Buy up to 3 years of Xbox live (Costco currently has a year for for $50) then convert that to Game Pass Ultimate for $1.
If all you’re looking to do is try it out online, you can just get Xbox live. Game pass gives you access to a ton of free games for a monthly fee. Game pass ultimate, is both combined.
“Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes all the benefits of Xbox Live Gold, plus over 100 high-quality console and PC games. ... Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold, so you'll still enjoy the benefits of Gold, including online console multiplayer, Games with Gold, and exclusive member deals.”
Xbox Series S might be the better choice. You'll find lots of narrative-driven games on Game Pass. If you want Game Pass you can stack up to 3 years of Xbox Live Gold and convert it for $1. This way you can get 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate at the price of 1 year.

That's weird. I wonder what was different. They still advertise the $1 upgrade on their site: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
So the situation for you was your Game Pass was expired, you had 36 months of gold, and did an upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate for $14.99, correct?
You can find the answer in the FAQ from MS 'After I join ... can I still redeem gold & gamepass codes' -> https://www.xbox.com/en-us/live/gold/upgrade
There you see a conversion table of you have a GPU sub and redeem a code.
In Your case 3 month gamepass PC = 2 months Ultimate.
I'm actually not certain this time.
That was my first answer as well, but if you go to the XBox webpage about conversions and scroll down to the FAQ's, there's the question "After I join XBox Game Pass Ultimate, can I still redeem XBox Live Gold and XBox Game Pass codes?".
If you drop that down, there are conversion rates for pretty much any amount of Gold and Game Pass monthly codes, but GP PC only has the 1 month option. Granted, I do not check this page all that frequently, but I do seem to recall there being a line for 3 months GP PC on there.
You should be able to but can't use gamepass service on your XSX.
You can convert those 8 months though to Ultimate if you do that $1 deal. If you can, stack more months for cheap then convert. Just don't exceed 36 momths. See FAQ.
>It's way more expensive like that. Just alone the 15$ 1month game pass is worth 50RON(romanian money) wich is like an american would spend 50$ for 1 month of benefits.
It's actually cheaper since $15 is the equivalent of about 65 RON. So may just change your region - if you have no active Game Pass subscription, may add up to 36 months of Gold via codes and upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate for $1. That's the cheapest way to get Game Pass.
If money is an issue then Game Pass is even more awesome imo. Also you can pay up to 3 years in advance and you can upgrade Xbox Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate. I bought 3x 12 months for a little over 41€ each and upgraded for 1€. In total that's 126€ for 3 years - about the same amount I paid for PS Plus last gen.
PS4 was my main platform for 7 years and I invested like 150-250€ each month in games. Now with Game Pass I play a lot more games - including some welcome surprises I probably never had bought - while spending only about 50€ to 100€ per month for other games.
Sure you can buy from key resellers - just like Xbox subscriptions. But this is not endorsed or promoted by Sony. Meanwhile Microsoft advertises it's upgrade plan. In fact the official way to buy Game Pass Ultimate is significantly cheaper ($61-75 a year) then buying PS Plus + PS Now from shady key resellers ($120-$150 a year).
Also there are more Xbox Live subscribers with Game Pass, than Xbox Live users without Game Pass.
After all it's Sony decision to not add an upgrade option for cheap. There aren't even bundles with PS Now. And PS Plus titles are recently more often stripped down versions, wether without story mode or without any current-gen upgrade path so you're stuck with the last-gen version.
So the process for this, to confirm, is:
1) Let existing Ultimate subscription lapse (following the last time I did this)
2) Buy three years xbox live gold
3) Add to microsoft account
4) Go through this page? (https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade#promotionaloffers) Or do I need to activate the Game Pass Ultimate sub somewhere else?
Add the gold subscriptions to your account online or through the console. After the gold has been added if it has the GPU upgrade ad on your console you can upgrade through that. You can also upgrade gold to GPU via the weblike
Microsoft themselves encourages to do it since Game pass is a better deal than xbox live gold
Also gamepass is pretty much always on sale at $1 for one month, tell me how it's not a good deal to at least try some new games without the compromise of paying up to $60 for them
I got it for $100 doing a "trick" which might not be available for everyone. But since everyone comments you can get the PS+ for 30$ from a 3rd party site unaffiliated with Sony who gets their keys from god knows where, it seemed a fair comparison.
The standard price of the sub is $60, and that is available for every one.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Considering they have a dedicated page, it's very much a promo not an exploit.
> Suddenly PS+ is better because it's still cheaper and you actually get to keep the games?
>
>I prefer the permanent PS+ games we get.
You don't get to keep them either, it's only available as long as the sub lasts. Most importantly the first party titles, 3rd party Day-1 titles and EA play titles aren't going anywhere.
IDK how you can Psychonauts, Hades, It takes two, AoE 4, sub-par. And that's just last three months.
You're only able to play Xbox 360 titles without a subscription since you own those. I'm not sure why it's allowing you to play an Xbox One game since it's not supposed to according to this link.
Are you possibly gamesharing with someone?
> I've heard its about 4-6 months but can't say for definite what it is.
In the future, if you don't know the answer & can't be bothered to look it up, it's probably better to refrain from responding, rather than saying "Yeah, there's an answer, but I don't know what it is & can't be assed to Google it for you".
Before you upgrade to Ultimate, you want to make sure you have enough Gold on your account first, the maximum you can have is 3 years (aka 36 months). When you do the upgrade to Ultimate promotion you pay $1, it converts all your Gold to Ultimate. It will then tell you once your up for renewal, it will be $14.99 per month so make sure you disable auto-renewal. The $1 you pay also gives you a free month. There are two promotions last time I checked, the Upgrade to Ultimate for $1 and then a 3 month promo for $14.99 I believe unless that ended.
This is the link for the Upgrade to Ultimate for $1 promo, it's been running since June 2019 when it was first announced: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
They method in which we are converting let’s you convert at a 1:1 ratio. Meaning if I have 3 months of gold, it’ll convert to 3 months of GPU. However, if you have an active subscription and try and convert, it will convert based on the table shown in the second to last FAQ question at the very bottom of this page
Go to https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live, sign in from there.
After logging in, on the same browser, go to https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/halo-insider/profile and after a few tries, I was able to get access to my flight insider page, scroll down and get your key.
I heard r/XboxSeriesX is great subredit if you want to be part of group of people who like to jerk off each other about how amazing gamepass is while dreaming about how Phils dick feels in mouth and how CoNSuMer FriEndLY MS is :D Meanwhile MS did not revert anything, they raised price of live gold to push people toward gamepass and made mp free for free to play games as a collateral. That link is official web page.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold
This also official web page even states that xbox live gold is starting from ridiculous 10 usd a month (120 usd/year if you cant count), witch would suggest that MS might be even getting rid even of 3 month offer for xbox live gold.
You do not lose it, you will be extending your GamePass Ultimate length. You can check out this page. There is a question, "After I join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, can I still redeem Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass codes? " that will show you what the conversion rate from Gold to Ultimate is.
>The Xbox website isn't clear
Actually it is https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and/or EA Play (purchased through Xbox) memberships.
Confirming that this went through without a hitch. Purchased three 12-month Xbox Live Gold cards from Best Buy. Redeemed them online through Microsoft. Confirmed 36 months, then purchased 1-month of Game Pass Ultimate through Microsoft's site: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade - It gave me a pop-up before purchase confirming that my now existing Gold will be converted to GPU. The next window was the purchase page. Then went back to Microsoft/Xbox subscriptions page and the GPU for 3 years (plus two extra months!) was there and set!

Thank you for your everyone's help!
This happened to me just a few hours ago. I had previously gotten the $1 deal maybe 2 times. I went on this link and logged in and it let me get the deal again: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
I promise this is not a scam link or anything--I googled the error message and some person on the xbox support website said they used the link.
Hope this helps.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
It will convert existing Gold (up to 3 years) to Ultimate for $1 (one-time cost).
Note, it cannot be reversed, and once done will renew as Ultimate at the normal price. If once it's done you want to return to just Gold (no Game Pass) you will need to cancel autorenew, then re-subscribe to Gold on it's own.
If you only currently have a year of Gold and upgrade, you will need to wait for that year to end before you can try it again (assuming the deal will even work in a year). So if you want to do it for 2-3 years, you need to buy the Gold in advance of upgrading.

The conversion trick worked for me the other day. The important thing is to not sign up for GPU in any way before adding the Xbox Live Gold. Then add up to 3 years of XLG. At that point, I went to
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
and upgraded for $1.
Of course the fine print below says the XLG will convert to GPU at a rate of 1y:4mos so I was sweating bullets. For me, anyway, it converted at a 1:1 ratio.
Lmao clearly you didn’t. Where the fuck do you see 30 months of Gold for 1 month of GPU?
He said “If they still give you the 1:1 conversion for new gamepass subscribers, then it might be a good idea to buy a whole bunch of Xbox live before you convert it.”
Btw, they do still offer it for those interested: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Even though there's been countless threads about it, here you go. You can have a maximum of 3 years of gold on your account. Go do that now. 180$ at standard price but if you put in some search effort you could find deals for even cheaper than that. Now that you have 3 years of gold, Google search upgrade gold to gamepass and the very first link that pops up should be the conversion link. It looks exactly the same as this page I googled (here)[https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade]. Follow that link and you will convert your 3 years of gold into 3 years of gamepass ultimate. And that's it!
Gold to Ultimate
Upgrading from Gold to Ultimate is 1:1
Without a Gamepass subscription it's 1:1, but while it's active it's not.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Once you have Ultimate, any Gold you try to add to an active Ultimate subscription does not convert 1:1. So you would want to hold onto that Gold until after your Ultimate subscription ends if you want to get the full value. At that point then you would do the 3 year purchase+convert again. Unless everything changes between now and then.
Can you not just buy the three months through the Xbox live gold page? https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold?opencontextualstore=true&contextualstoreparams=CFQ7TTC0K5DJ
You probably don't see a cancel button because you don't currently have an active subscription.
I'm basing the 4 months off the FAQ on the following page. I'm hoping it will double as some other websites said the ratio is based on retail price of the Gold card. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
When you convert from Xbox live gold to GPU you can get 3 months of ultimate for $1.
So 3 months plus 36 months that you can convert by purchasing 3 Xbox live gold cards. That’s the max I believe.
Another pro tip: you can still grab an Xbox Gold subscription for a year and convert that to Gamepass Ultimate.
For example, buy a 1 year Xbox Gold (Brazil) subscription for around $35, activate it on your account (doesn't have to be in Brazil) and use the upgrade to Gamepass procedure (pay $1).
This way you can save a lot of money. I bought 2 years worth of Gold (Brazil) and activated it on my EU account, which already had the PC subscription. Then I upgraded to Ultimate on the page linked above, and now I have Ultimate until mid 2023.
Worked great on 1 Jan 2021. Only comment I would have is for users in the US to use the US link ($14.99 USD), not the Canada link ($16.99 CAD).
If you are in it for the long haul, buy 3 years of Xbox Live Gold, and then you can pay 1 dollar to convert that entire 3 year subscription to Game Pass Ultimate.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
That's a steal, and it gives you instant access to all of the Xbox owned games like the whole Gears of War series and all the Halo games, etc...
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Basically, when you claim the 1 dollar GPU deal any remaining Gold month you have in your account will be turned on GPU. You can only stack until 36 months AND the deal only work once.
I converted earlier this year, and it hasn't changed. As lifted off the Xbox upgrade page under the FAQ page:
What happens to my Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass memberships once I upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
A purchase of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass memberships to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
The conversion chart is listed right here on the xbox website
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
It says 12 months of Gold gives you 4 months of game pass ultimate. This is if you already have had a game pass subscription. If you are new, I believe the 1:1 will work. If you are seeing the $1 deal and you already had a subscription it's a bug. Try clicking on it and you'll see it won't work.
You might be stuck in an update and it's being wonky, but 2 things to try.

Login and just make sure you are using the same account, you can even dig around and check your subscriptions and when it expires.

You are probably good on that. Now make sure you have the right Microsoft app on your PC.
I haven't done it in months but at one point there were 2 apps, even 3. Now there is just one, but double check.
Lastly, run all the Windows updates.
There is a windows update that I had to do that made my account start to work. It was required back when they switched it from the companion Xbox app to the Xbox App beta. For some reason there is a windows update needed to make the store and app accounts sync.
You need an Xbox Live account, yes. You can make one for free here: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live
Once you have signed up for an Xbox account, you will then just follow the process on screen in Minecraft. It will have you link your PSN account to the Xbox account (sometimes referred to as a Microsoft Account) and after that you will be able to access Realms on PS4.
Your friend will need to add your Xbox Gamertag as a friend on his new Xbox account, and then you two will be able to play together.
yes.
>Note: Purchase of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass (for PC or Console) membership(s) to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a conversion ratio each based on days remaining. You save a lot if you use the upgrade method in link. I bought game pass ultimate for 3 years and it cost me 94usd that way. Basically:
You can redeem the Xbox One games as long as you have Gold status.
You keep all the 360 titles, but the Xbox One titles you will lose if you lose Gold status. You can either redeem your Xbox One games on the system, or you can log in to the website and redeem them online so they're bound to your account:
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold
Always remember to check every on the 1st and 16th every month for new stuff - it's the golden rule
I just bought 3 years (24 mo + 12 mo) of Xbox live gold online from Costco for $150 then used the link below to convert 1:1 to game pass ultimate for $1.
Yes! Get another year of Gold so you have 3 years stacked, then pay the dollar to upgrade to GP Ultimate. The 3 years of Gold will convert to 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate at no additional cost.
I redeemed a 3 month GPU code a day ago and now my GPU is set to expire 4/9/2021... I thought conversions from gold to game pass ultimate was reduced where it's not 1:1.
The conversion rates from the official xbox website is here: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Am I missing something or can I still get a super low price per month for GPU? What are the steps to exactly go through now? I'm quite lost. I read yours and raj's comments but they're a bit confusing. Thanks.
The toast and ding were pretty close to not even making the cut originally. Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20100718074533/https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/engineeringblog/achievements-unlocked.htm
What you can do for now is buy xbox gold, and then you can then convert all of your xbox gold for a dollar, up to three years worth. I was doing it year by year but I have a feeling it is going away soon so I wish I did three years. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade
Actually, it seems like that was just on the Xbox 360 and it changed when the Xbox One came out.
I was talking with someone about the various game subscription services a few days ago and brought up that you keep the gold games after your subscription ended. They showed me that the official page^1 for it says you need an active subscription. > 1. Active Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership required to play free games you’ve redeemed. Restrictions Apply.
I looked around and found an article talking about the change^2 .
> Microsoft will require you to stay subscribed to Xbox Live to access Games with Gold titles on Xbox One - unlike on Xbox 360, the company has announced.
Hey! Did this the other day. Create your Xbox account, apply the Xbox live gold(up to 3 years) then convert it to ultimate. Under your subscriptions after this it should say ultimate. I did it for two years and it says I’m good through 2022.
Yes it does, I upgraded by going here last night. Not sure if you have to do it at that link though. I had already claimed my $1 month, so I had to pay the full $15 to upgrade.
