What you've got is the Remote Control for the Xbox Media Center Extender kit, specifically the beta version they sent out to test with. This kit was meant to be used with the OG Xbox to allow it to connect to your Windows XP Media Center computer and stream music, videos, and even Live TV if you had a working capture card.
I had this exact kit and all the Xbox button did was allow you to sign into Xbox Live and check your friends list. Also you could use the remote with the DVD Player.
It was pretty cool too (The media extender part) cause I could finally watch all the stuff I'd pulled down off the Gnutella network on my couch instead of my desk.
Someone scanned the manual and uploaded it to The Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/Remote_Control_for_Media_Center_Extender_for_Xbox_2003_Microsoft
And I guess you can still buy the full kit: https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Media-Center-Extender/dp/B00066FHM4
That looks like a standard power cord. You shouldn't have any problem finding it pretty much anywhere.
Check a junk drawer in your house. You MIGHT discover you already have a spare.

This was just the top of the list. Scrolling was a lot of styles. I typed "Xbox headset replacement cable" hope this helps as I know how annoying this can be lol
A minor annoyance as someone that now owns both, But also a warning to anyone wanting to buy aftermarket accessories for their Elite controllers such as these colored joysticks, The sticks for a series 1 won't fit on a series 2.
If you can stretch to $130, this looks alright: -
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-K242HYL-Hbi-FreeSync-Technology/dp/B08R6BBGMS/
Pretty much all of the monitors in that price range are around 24" though, which may be smaller than what you'd like.
What I would do is search on Amazon, then Google for reviews of any ones you see that you like the look of.
If you want something bigger, I'd look on eBay. If you bide your time, you should be able to get a 27" monitor with that budget.
I literally just picked up two 12-ft HDMI cables from Costco with the exact same specs for $16. BestBuy, or whatever store that is, is ripping you the fuck off. Here is literally the same quality/spec cable for $12 on Amazon.
Go get your money back.
Seriously, HDMI is a DIGITAL signal; it does not "degrade" or need extra fancy gold connectors and stuff like audio cables from the 90s did. It either works or it does not. Do not get suckered into spending five times as much because of bullshit marketing.

This started out as a “what if” between my partner and I, and eventually turned into a really fun and affordable portable battle station setup.
The tablets are “Vankyo” brand, and the absolute cheapest octa-core tablets I could find running android 9.
The gooseneck tablet holders are strong, and work well to handle the weight of the heavy tablets.
I have a charger cord wrapped around the arms and connected to a wall charger or battery pack. Both tabs are running on the same wifi network (250-350Mbps average) with both Xboxes using wired Ethernet.
We’ve encountered the occasional issue with streaming quality, but nothing really game breaking. The Xbox Android app seems much more robust and stable than the iOS app on my phone.
The only cons I can find are really due to the budget quality of the tablet. The speakers not adequately loud enough for some games, but a set of earbuds fixes that issue. The second issue would be the screen resolution, although it’s touted as 1080p, smaller font is sometimes hard to make out without squinting a bit.
All in all, it’s not a bad trade off for the price tag: under $200 US, not counting the earphones and Xbox controller I already had.
Ingredients used:
Vertical Stand for Xbox One S Console-White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L5TX5TH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZXJMT3MF3205TRAYR4G9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You can always buy this and then be able to move it away from the wall and center it more. But as long as you’re careful and don’t knock it over you should be fine.
Try it on another xbox.
Failing all else i dont see what else you can do besides resurface the disc if the other xbox cant read it.
Amazon has the GOTY edition for $16 if that helps
I've used this for years. It charges two battery packs at a time, yet I only use one at a time. When one dies (usually about once or twice a month), I just put it on the charger and take the other one off. I've never had both batteries dead and I've never been constrained to a wire. I intend to get something similar with Xbox One if I can find one. I hate wiring to the console.
Did you try the manual eject? It looks like a pinhole and should be next too the drive. Unbend a paperclip and push it in there to eject. Then blow it out with canned air or something. If that doesn't work, there are some vids on youtube that offer advice.
Edit: Oh, you might have to rmove the faceplate first. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/system/manually-eject-disc (scroll down a bit)
Edit2: changed link. I think it's a better site for this.

I went looking for a boring old duel headphone stand and next thing I’m looking at RGB ones that have usb charging ports on them to also charge the headphones & for only a little over stg£20, so I snagged one. I presumed I’d find a basic AF one for about £10-12 so when I saw the RGB ones for not that much more I had to!
I have the Microsoft one and its pretty fantastic. Bass sounds great for music and they are comfortable for long gaming sessions. Plus, this one on amazon is $48 and comes with a free 3.5mm dataport jack. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IAVDQCK/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_0NBcxb3KAZ1QJ
For those of you wondering, the OP stated this is a Hyperkin Duke Controller. You can find it on Amazon for just under $40 here:
Hyperkin Duke Wired Controller for Xbox One/ Windows 10 PC (Black) - Officially Licensed by Xbox: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079ZPCCLM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_mA4eEbFDA6YKJ
They also have several other colors if you just search "Hyperkin Duke Controller".
Pretty cool OP, I wanna buy one now.
Xbox 360 SmartGlass for iOS sounds like it may be what you are looking for.
It has controller (or used to) functionality for like menus, etc. But I am not sure you could use it for an actually controller for a game.
The whole $500 million budget thing has been debunked for a while now. It's pretty irresponsible of journalists to continue to quote it.

Hi KG!
There's no such thing as a stupid question!
The Xbox community is very friendly and we're always happy to help.
A lot of new friends are coming to the Xbox community, and it's normal to have questions about certain functions, do not hesitate to ask.
Using the console:
"My Games and Apps" > "Full Library" > "Games With Gold".
Using a web browser:

Cheers!
Personally I’d recommend THIS monitor. I have two of them and they are fantastic and not overpriced either. Plus you get the name brand so you know quality is good.
There was another thread asking this, Im sure the recommended case was the Amazon basics case.

Sadly no. They want you to buy the kit. (assuming it's the same as Xbox one s controller which I'm 90% sure it is)
I have been using the eneloop kit for years on my Xbox controller and RC car transmitter. They are great batteries that charge cycle many times and a charge holds for a long time if you charge and don't use. Also the charger in their kit is better than most because it charges each battery individually.
You don’t need an enclosure. Any usb 3.0 hard drive will work assuming you’re just playing Xbox one games. Otherwise any Series games currently have to be installed on its internal drive or its official expansion card. Here’s an example of a hard drive that should work. It’s 2TB and under $100 at the moment

https://www.slant.co/topics/9367/~couch-local-co-op-games-for-xbox-one
A few of my favorite couch coop games are Borderlands, Halo, Gears and Overcooked. If you’re a Gold/GamePass Ultimate Sun make sure to download moving out. It’s a pretty fun couch coop game.
Apparently this list is a complete of all coop games available as well. Have fun! 🍻
I know this isn't quite the same, but if you have an Xbox One you might be able to play those 360 discs on it via backward compatibility and then stream it to Windows 10 using the Xbox app. You can see which games are supported here:
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility
Also check out the "In-home streaming" section near the bottom of the page below where it describes this exact scenario. Enjoy!
It would extend your game pass ultimate but for a shorter time, they have a conversion chart online so you can see.
Edit: they have the answer on the website, https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/gold/upgrade. Hope this helps.
I right there with ya. I won’t get this again unless I get another surgery next year!

You can clean off the part on the controller, then get a new battery case for about $6 on amazon. That will be much easier than trying to get the bottom connections cleaned. These are the ones I got.
AOC CU32V3 32" Super-Curved 4K UHD monitor, 1500R Curved VA, 4ms, 121% sRGB Coverage / 90% DCI-P3, HDMI 2.0/DisplayPort, VESA, Black by Amazon.com Learn more: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083TDZJD7/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_FDM4KTP0GP2WBDJM7PCB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
i’ve seen this one mentioned for gaming by several people and fits your price.
You just need a headset adapter, then you can plug any compatible 3.5mm stereo headset into it and you'll get both game audio and chat.
I'm assuming the one you have is the single ear chat headset?
The MS stereo headset adapter is discontinued and kinda expensive to buy these days, but there are third party versions, such as this: -
https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Headset-Controller-Superhuman-Hearing/dp/B00PWRYKDE/
That's not exactly cheap either though.
The batteries that came with the controller are not rechargeable.
You can plug it into your console with a usb and use it wired but it will not recharge those batteries.
You need something like this if you want rechargeable AA batteries.
I dunno which country you're in, but assuming you're in the US, I'd recommend this (both Amazon links): -
4 X Eneloop batteries and charger - $17.99
Or this: -
4 x Eneloop batteries and fast charger - $25.89
The fast charger charges the batteries from dead to full in 3 hours compared to 7 for the regular one.
Assuming you're the only one using the console, that gives you double the amount of batteries you need, so you can always keep a spare set charged to swap out when the controller batteries get low.
They're great quality batteries with a very good mAh rating and they should last you for many years.
NP, so people were talking about monitors on this sub - and a lot were looking at the LG 27 inch
That's my final recommendation I'd say
Many other electronics use this cord, so you may have another you can use as a temperary solution, or a permenant solution if the device you borrowed it from isnt used often.
But heres a amazon replacement. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B073QN2JBS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_Y952B9X4E2KBK0VWSFR1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you don't feel like tearing apart your system, you can get what's call a wifi to ethernet bridge.
Something like this should work
Here's the link: -
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08KB1WW74
Obviously this isn't an amazing price for a 2TB external HDD as there are others available at around this price, but for this particular drive with the Halo graphics on it, it's the cheapest it's ever been.
You can get 12 months from Amazon for 60 bucks, and it's almost instant delivery via a code: -
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Live-Gold-Membership-Digital/dp/B002VBWIP6/
If you're stacking up Gold, you might want to consider converting it all to Game Pass Ultimate, given that converting all of it only costs the price of 1 month of Ultimate. Details on how it works are here: -

I don’t think there is any monitor currently out that supports HDMI 2.1 yet. But considering your budget covers up to $1,500 I’d like to throw the LG CX 48” OLED. It is bigger than you’d want however it’s and amazing tv that supports HDMI 2.1 and the color production is ridiculous and gorgeous. Makes for an excellent monitor too. I’d recommend checking out Linus Tech Tips video he did on it while using it as a monitor.
I would also like to throw in the LG 27GL83A. It’s a 1440p 144hz monitor but it does not support HDMI 2.1 but it’s an excellent monitor either way. It has a downscaler which I recently learned about which allows the Xbox and ps5 to render at 4K/60 and scales it down to 1440p. Only thing with this one is that it’s 27 inch. This is the monitor I currently use with my pc and will be using with my ps5 when it arrives.
Anyways good luck in your search for the best monitor.
Honestly I would ditch it anyway seeing a sits such old hardware. There's a pretty solid modded replacement you can get in Amazon for $25 with prime. Super high reviews and everyone says it pulls like %200 more air and keeps their games from freezing. It's also marketed to be quieter but some people say different things. It also comes with led lights but you can remove them if you don't want them

If you are looking for a very good router, look no further than the Netgear R7000p (AC2300) . It is the newer version of the proven R7000 (AC1900). I have had an R7000 for 5 years, and it is phenomenal. I have 4 YouTube, Netflix and Xbox One streaming almost every day with no issues ever. I did Port Triggering (not Port Forwarding) because I have 2 Xbox One's on Xbox Live at the same time. I did all of the ports and time them out after 20 minutes of non activity. Port Forwarding only works if you have one. The R7000 is a little cheaper, but the new MU-MIMO is worth the difference if you are going to be streaming on a mobile phone.

Doesn't the microsoft stereo headset include those anymore? it's 60 USD on microsoft store and at least it used to include de adapter.
In amazon Spain it's sold by microsoft directly and it still includes it : https://www.amazon.es/Microsoft-Wired-Stereo-Headset-Reedici%C3%B3n/dp/B07CHQJZJ9
I actually tested this out. I was using PureVPN and while performance was OK in games like Dark Souls 2, it wasn't nearly as good with twitchy games like COD.
I think it really depends on who's hosting the game (and whether you're on a dedicated server or not) +/- the location of the VPN server you are connected to.
some rechargeable AA batteries with a charging station (or the official charging kit like someone else suggested)
I got a pair of the official headphones (http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Stereo-Headset/dp/B00IAVDQCK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1431981673&sr=8-4&keywords=xbox+headphones) and it has been great for surviving my wife wanting to watch crap shows on netflix when I want to play games (in the same room together). Probably not what you mean by survival kit though :)
Someone else said $50 gift card, bestbuy (and probably some other retailers) has a $45 gift card pack that comes with a $5 bonus card (so you get $50 for $45).
The official Xbox One Media Remote is also a pretty cool accessory (it's better if he has a kinect though, so you can use it to also turn on/off the TV and adjust the volume).
Are you sure its not a cruzer edge but a cruzer blade? My cruzer edge 4gb worked

Yeah they do, KMD Xbox 360 Live Gaming Headset with Mic by KMD but again, you will only hear the voices of others and talk through this item, whereas headphones only allow you to hear.
Get a 1440p monitor at least if its financially possible
Your 3.5mm aux cable needs to have three bands on the copper connector for the microphone to work.
If you're using a basic aux cable that only has two bands, that only allows audio output, and you'll need to buy something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RB17ZY1/ to replace the cable.
I just bought this:

The covers are separate from the battery packs, so you can just fit the cover with normal batteries, and I have one fitted to my Xbox one controller and one to the xsx controller.
I think it's available on white as well.
No they won't. Those are made for Xbox One controllers and will not fit the controller you linked which is what came out with the Xbox Series X/S. This one will fit

will this work?
My kid's did the same thing to mine, was only the plastic thumbstick that was broken inside the controller. cheap and easy replacement...like 5 bucks for a new thumbstick. I replaced with metal sticks to prevent from happening again (~12$); I don't really like the way the metal feels (cold, hard to explain) but easy fix:
Unfortunately xbox game pass is a monthly subscription. You can't just buy one month through the website. You need to have payment information on your account or enough money on your account to cover next months reoccurring charge on
If you just want to buy one month you have to purchase a 1 month gamepass ultimate prepaid card or digital code from places like amazon, walmart, or whatever retailers in your country sell them. something like this
That code is for the U.S. so don't buy that if you are not in the u.s. But something like that might be available in your country
Ah okay, i don't want them playing at the same time though. Is there no other solution?
They do sell an adapter XBox Series Adapter
I guess the first thing for anyone reading this is to provide proof of this and while searching Amazon I found this model and very clearly it states that it's 120hz in the details, yet a lot of people are actively calling out that it's actually 60hz.
Its a Laqukanle i dont know how to see the model though. I got it on amazon here is how you get to it:

I checked out through the slickdeals method, which may or may not have saved tax. Some say it will, I don't know that the seller was collecting my state's tax anyway.
Nevermind, I bought a volume controller on Amazon so that I can change the volume. The headset volume on the console is still set to full volume so that I get no static.
No, but logic won't win this. If it comes to it, grab something like this:
(but for your country - obvs). Set the meter rate and leave it between your Xbox and the supply. If the concern is raised again you can show them the information they read is... "mistaken".
no it wasn't out at the time. I was lucky and got it week 1 when it came out. and didn't want to re-buy it when the halo version came out. However, I did grab one of the limited halo controllers.

This qnd a therapy
This. Male connector into 3.5mm of the controller. Mic into Female connector on the split end, but how are you gonna keep it near your mouth?
Same $40 Wireless Controller deal is now on Microsoft Store and Amazon.com:

There should be a 3.5mm hole at the bottom on the controller. If it's not working you might need the mic adapter.
It's a 3rd party vendor selling the item. The text "Visit the Xbox Store" at the top of that Amazon page shows up on any Xbox product being sold, no matter who the seller is.
You can verify this yourself if you use a desktop browser and simply look at "Sold by " info under the Add To Cart button on the full page shown.

On PC, share the virtual adapter EV created, which is usually called ExpressVPN wintun device, I don’t remember the details. Share it over your primary ethernet or WiFi connection on your PC. Enable sharing on your primary connection adapter may force the IP settings on the primary adapter to be overrides by the internet connection sharing feature. Just change it back to auto in the IPv4 settings of that adapter. On Xbox, change the IPv4 settings, use the same IP and subnet mask as auto settings, but override the gateway to the IP of the PC. For DNS, any well known public DNS is fine, for example 8.8.8.8. Windows has this weird bug that the share may fail after a reboot, turn off sharing and turn it on after reboot.
Best purchase I ever made was the rechargable battery packs, something similar to this (I couldn't find the exact one I have). For my headset I bought some rechargeable AAA. Saved me tons of money in the long run.
Perhaps you missed where they removed Cortana from Xbox One. https://thenextweb.com/gaming/2019/07/25/microsoft-removes-cortana-from-xbox-one/
Buy this...
I've got the Series X & PS5 versions. I'd feel uncomfortable not having one installed at this point.
Series X: Just get it wherever you find it. It is very unlikely there will be sales on the XSX this holiday season.
Series S: Wait for a sale. Costco.com will be selling them for $230 as of Nov 17. Target had it on sale for $250 + free additional controller a couple weeks ago, and I suspect other retailers will have deals throughout the holiday season. You can check Wario 64 on Twitter who is pretty good about tweeting out deals.
If you're looking to save a few bucks now, Amazon Warehouse will have some open box returns available.
The Xbox 360 S and E consoles have built in Wi-Fi, but older Xbox 360 models do not. You'll need additional hardware.
https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Wireless-Network-Adapter/dp/B000B6MLV4
I have these and I love them. They're also on sale, which is nice. Not sure if it's as high end as you'd like, but I'm pleased with their performance. https://www.amazon.com/LS35X-Wireless-Surround-Sound-Gaming-Headset/dp/B071JSYH33/
Check old stereos or electric equipment. there's a possibility you might have a spare cable without realizing it. Otherwise you can grab one about $10 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Power-Compatible-Playstation-Supply-Replacement/dp/B073QN2JBS/
I second this also ask, and I know it’s a dumb question but your projector does support 4K and CEC right? I don’t know enough about projectors to speak to them but if this one supports them then, I agree with Recover20, making sure you have a high speed HDMI cable is my next guess.
I bought these and have been using them for my Xbox Series X, PS5, and Apple TV. They all recognize the cable as high speed and I have zero complaints about them: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085P3FL43?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Came here to say the same thing. I bought a Vankyo set that looks near identical to these and the sound has been excellent.

I wouldn't do that myself, might be fine for short play times however, if you are playing a AAA title at 4K for 2 hours it is going to get (very) hot and there is a much higher chance of problems occurring (IMO). If you have a drill (or can borrow one) get hole cutter drill bits (or borrow) and cute a hole in the back (link below) just keep the round piece of wood if you ever get rid of the xbox you can fix the hole pretty easily (if you keep the cut out piece)
You shouldn’t have any worries concerning warranty tape. I think any 2.5 inch laptop sata drive would be fine. Here’s the Amazon link for the one I got. I went with an SSD instead of another mechanical HDD. So far so good.

Just buy a new power brick. They go out. It's not the end of the world.
