3.3 feet for $500. How do they get away with this?
Just so you know, they make little refillable canisters for those kinds of coffee machines. You wont be restricted to the flavors that are made by Keurig, and you'll save money too. I never liked the idea of those coffee machines because I've seen the price of the refills in the store. Now that I know they make these refillable ones, I'm considering getting one.
Gotta make sure it has a Dielectric-Bias System to reduce distortion.
This is a 6' HDMI cable for $695.99. I shit you not. I refuse to shop at Best Buy simply because they have the gaul to carry this product.
That's not even the most expensive one! Here's a 16' HDMI cable for $2,749.75. FYI for those that don't know... all HDMI cables transfer the signal just as well as any other HDMI cable. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/AudioQuest+-+Coffee+HDMI+Cable+16m/1307068564.p?id=mp1307068564&skuId=1307068564
EDIT: My bad on "gual." Typed this on my phone, and that damn autocorrect... ok I just don't know how to spell gall.
1) Buy Oblivion GOTY for $20 2) copy serial to steam 3) turn in to city and profit
I ran across this while trying to find out if a stereo would fit my car. It goes all the way back to year 0.

> For example, even the cheapest HDMI cable you can get at Best Buy is going to be about $30 if you're lucky or $100 if you're stupid.
Or $1,095.99 if you're... well... actually I'm having trouble imagining under what circumstances anyone would buy such a thing.
I worked at Geek Squad and they made a $1,000 Hdmi cable. it's on the website here
I found this review for a $1200 HDMI cable (Oh, now it's $1500)
>I pawned my TV, laptop and took out a small loan to get this cable. I should have just gotten the loan, because now I do not have a TV to utilize the cable with. But forget about the TV for a moment. This cable is awesome. I told all my friends I was getting this cable, so we planned a party for when I got it. They were all impressed & jealous at the same time. They all said they wished they had the cable, but they tried to convince themselves that their $10 HDMI cables were sufficient and just a good. How wrong they were. My diamond-plated connectors were the life of the party. Instead of figuring a way to hide this cable, I needed to devise a plan to keep in the limelight. It's black and a very exotic dark heather gray. Once I get my Smart HDTV in about 3 years, this bad boy will blow all the other TVs out of the water. Until then, I'm happy just looking at it. It's a wonderful piece of art. I was able to price match it and get the price down to $1200. Tax and a warranty made the total about $1500. For that price, I almost felt bad for requesting a price match.
That's a $700 value! It's like Sony is paying you to buy a PS4!
Whether or not a sale has expired at a retail store, if it's advertised anywhere they ~~have to~~ will probably honor it.
I went in to Best Buy once to get a replacement pair of earbuds, and while walking around I found an expired sale that you could use to get earbuds and a USB wall charger for (yes, exactly) $15. Turns out the earbuds were $14.99. I talked to a cashier who brought out a manager to confirm the sale, and I walked out with a free USB charger.
Another time I went in to get a more protective case for my iPod (Griffin Survivor for anyone curious) which was advertised online for ~$30. Turns out that in stores it costs ~$60. Once again, I talked to a cashier who contacted a manager for confirmation. I walked out with a sweet case for half price.
For those concerned, I was extremely friendly to the cashiers. The managers weren't called because I was acting like a dick, but simply because it's company policy to contact a manager about an expired sale that's still being advertised.
TL;DR Got a free charger and a case for 1/2 off because I checked for sales. Managers were contacted because of company policy, not because I was being rude.
*Edited for those critical of my choice of words.
PS3 controllers don't have red, green, blue and yellow buttons. He's obviously playing Halo 1 on the PC (as well as other PC games.) using this controller... True gamers my ass.
I was expecting you to mention this, though the one you mentioned is more interesting, and probably more successful.
I have noticed many, many places using the SALE! Now only MSRP! SAVE! SAVE! SAVE! trick. (That is, a product listed at full retail price, with a big huge "AMAZING SAVINGS!!!" sign or the like)
Edit: Another popular trick I have seen employed is "double pricing". Say you sell something for $19.95. It's $19.95 every day, that's just the price. Put a second price tag with, say $24.95 written on it. Now it's special. Very popular for clothing.
These headphones. All these years I thought I listened to music, turns out I was just hearing it, until I obtained these.
Looks like Best Buy is price matching and selling both the wifi and 3G models at $199
edit: looks like they are also selling the bundle that includes the memory card and whatnot for the same price
The PS3 version is also $4.99 on bestbuy.
This is actually pretty awesome for the price if you're into hobbyist electronics. For $5 you're getting a 2.4GHz RF remote control with a 1920x1080 drawing surface, 4-way D-Pad, 7 buttons, and a 6-bit accelerometer.
The PS3 version is based around a Nordic nRF24 chip, which are available on ebay on a breakout board for like $1.50 (shipping included), and pretty popular in the hobbyist world. The Xbox version uses a microsoft chip/protocol which is not as hackable, I think.
You could probably hack a PS3 uDraw into a remote control for this quadcopter for example, because they both use nRF24 radio chips. The uDraw's MCU is an STM8, with programming lines broken out to test points, so that should be reprogrammable if you need to change the radio protocol.
They even made the circuit schematics publicly available in the FCC database, the PS3 version's FCCID is YFK-05109901.
These guys give great advice. Like how they said I'd get better picture quality on my TV with this HDMI cord.
I have owned a Vacuum Shop for the last 16 years. 10 years is the high end of the life expectancy for most vacuum cleaners, there are always exceptions. All vacuums require constant maintenance, cleaning filters, changing bags or emptying water, changing belts, cleaning brushrolls, etc. The Dyson machine are NOT worth the money, and they are very hard to get parts for when they tear up. I am also not a fan of Bagless Vacuum cleaners, dust retention is awful on most machines and they require more maintenance than a bagged vacuum. For versatility and durability try to find a good canister cleaner, I personally have a Panasonic canister cleaner (mine is an older model of this but very similar) that I have been using for years and I love it. Panasonic also makes some great upright machines, and they also manufacture a lot of the canister vacuums for Kenmore.
What's wrong with showing some love for this 55" LG TV with Best Buy's Low Price Guarantee?

I have some of these. A 10 pack cost about $6 at Best Buy and Office Max.
Each pack comes with 5 colors.
I found 2 cables from Bestbuy that will infuriate you more
This one is even better! And the reviewers back me up on this!!
struggled with this problem for years, even though I knew the cause. No center channel = muddled dialog, blown out background sound.
I solved it recently by buying and setting up a fairly cheap, simple little sound bar from Sony (if you're interested) - and it has made all the difference in the world. Not one instance of the sound channel level problem since.
For those of you who may not want to go the full home theater route, but want to hear your movies' dialog, this solution may be just what you need. I couldn't be happier with it.
What site? Bestbuy.com? If you need good quality HDMI cable I recommend you buy this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/AudioQuest+-+Diamond+3.3%27+High-Speed+HDMI+Cable+-+Dark+Gray/Black/2383276.p?id=1218324437192
Something to keep in mind when finding a Harddrive:
Some companies keep a long inventory, some companies keep a short inventory. Traditionally in the computer market, short inventory companies require higher volume and take advantage of the generally downward prices in the market. Sites such as newegg and amazon work this way.
However, in cases of a break in supply, they don't have much in the warehouse and can't get anything else. They also know that they will sell a certain number of drives even at much higher prices. Knowning that in the next few months they will only get X drives and usually sell 5X drives means they increase prices so they can make the most per drive since they can't sell any more drives anyway.
Long inventory companies such as BestBuy, Staples, etc don't have to do this. They will get a higher price per unit than Newegg usually does, but they have 3-5 months stock of these drives. They are better off it if they get more sales from this at their normal price than jacking it up and getting fewer sales.
Thus a WD 2TB drive at newegg costs $150: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136772
The same drive at BestBuy costs $80: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Western+Digital+-+Caviar+Green+2TB+Internal+Serial+ATA+Hard+Drive/9234465.p?id=1218064150518&skuId=9234465&st=Western%20digitial%202TB%20drive&cp=1&lp=2
This isn't entirely true. Sometimes they force you to buy a ten dollar gift card if you want your stuff recycled.
EDIT - Thanks to Genuisidiot We've got more info on MOTD. Summary -
The AK47 Will be back!
For the Wonder Weapon, it's a "directional beam". Apparently you can augment it to enhance it.
The Warden is like the Cosmonaut. He may lock certain doors, such as locking a cell. 2-hit down with Juggernog.
And now Best Buy is advertising Uprising on their Website
Nintendo games tend to hold their value for a long time. You may be best off buying them used, or just waiting for a sale, like the one going on right now (which does include Fire Emblem!). If you're okay with getting digital copies, though, you don't really have to worry about price going up, since there won't be any price increases due to scarcity.
Is Fallout: New Vegas worth it at that price? I've never actually played any Fallout game before, wondering if this price/game is good enough to begin playing Fallout with.
Edit: Apparently, for anybody else considering, it's $10 over at Best Buy if you're in the US.
I don't consider this advertising. A lot of people may not know that Best Buy will pricematch (full list of sites here).
I've been buying from Amazon for years but they are going to start charging sales tax here next year, so I'll be going to Best Buy and pricematching instead. Also if you need something right away then it's a good idea -- I did it the other day to get a stupidly overpriced microSDHC card for $23 instead of $70.
Do note that the product has to match exactly. Like if you find an appliance that's white online for cheaper but they only have black in the store, too bad.
This is what i am going to do, probably going to get one to hook up to my computer as well.
By the way, Metro Last light is only $0.01 at Best Buy right now. So if you don't have a copy, pick it up.
Edit: Unfortunately the deal is sold out now.
Best Buy is all sold out of preorders for the X1, and that is for the first few shipments through the end of the year as BB was selling preorders well past what they had available for day-one shipments.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it ...
You have an extremely short deadline, you only need this laptop for a meeting, and you have a low enough budget that your choice isn't too important.
So, here's what you should do: Go to Best Buy (you're on the train there anyways), or any other local store which you know sells laptops. Buy the best-looking laptop in your budget; focus on getting a laptop which looks good and that you don't have trouble typing on. You want to give the appearance of being prepared, rather than necessarily having the best possible laptop in your budget. Then, after the meeting, you can either keep the laptop or return it and get a different one.
That said, I'm inclined to suggest this Asus laptop.
Good luck, Jim. This comment will self-destruct when it reaches the end of your screen.
Materials:
We started with an Igloo 5.2 cu ft chest freezer (on sale for $150) that has a built in refrigeration option. We double-checked the temperature by putting thermometer in there and letting it stabilize after 24 hours…confirmed, it is ~40 F.
Edit: Don't forget to drill pilot holes for all of your screws! It will help with alignment and make things SO much easier. You will also have to drill a pilot hole for the taps, all the way through the board. You'll have to drill the spade bit on both sides to get all the way through, so this pilot hole will ensure your two cuts line up.
They didn't have to honor the price. They could have called the local toys-r-us to verify price and availability. Source: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Payment-Pricing/Best-Buy-Price-Match-Guarantee/pcmcat204400050011.c?id=pcmcat204400050011
Peasant! Men of worth use the AudioQuest Diamond cables for a low, low price of 1,095.99. Can't put a price on that quality!
Photoshopped or not...best buys pretty firm on a feb 1st release...
You can use this link to see if your local BestBuy has gotten their shipment.
Exhibit A: AudioQuest - Diamond 3.3' High-Speed HDMI Cable. These would just fly off the shelves at $547.99!
The cost in time and energy and fees (and humiliation when the small claims judge admonishes you for suing your mom) is probably less than the price of the cheapest all-in-one at Best Buy which will delight your mom for the holidays.
Or yeah, small claims court.
They only price match certain stores though and Google Play isn't one of them. If Amazon uses the Google Play pricing you could match the price with them.
You can see what online prices they will match here.
Here's the link to Black 2: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Pok%26%23233%3Bmon+Black+Version+2+-+Nintendo+DS/5920864.p?skuId=5920864&id=1218705942879
I'm not sure how long these will be on sale, so if you're interested, you may want to hurry. There's free shipping available, and you can also just pick it up in-store. Also, I'm sorry if this has been posted before. I didn't see it anywhere.

I have not used a floppy disk in over ten years.
Look into these
You could have purchased the game as a digital download from Best Buy! [Link for others who may be in a similar situation].
I worked at Best Buy for 5.5 years, and the only thing worse than the stupid customers was the stupid employees.
Your entire first paragraph makes little to no sense. You correct yourself later by saying that the markup on accessories is due to no margin on core product. The reason no printers worked with Vista was the lack of drivers from the manufacturer. That has nothing to do with cables or Best Buy. And I guarantee Best Buy doesn't think that everyone has a wireless router. That's why their Geek Squad HNMS is their biggest inhome service.
The stores I used to work at did sell that cable. I think they stopped carrying it in favor of this, even though it only does SATA. However, there are still a few versions online, and I'd be very surprised if some stores didn't still have them. I sold them all the time!
The stupidest customer I think I ever had to deal with was someone who called in saying her new laptop wouldn't turn on. I went through some basic troubleshooting, and finally she explained that it was working, but had shut off. I asked her if there were even any lights on it when it was plugged in. She told me that it didn't have to be plugged in. I said "Yes, it has a battery, but you still need to plug it in when the battery is dead to charge it." Her response was yelling at me "I DON'T HAVE TO PLUG IT IN. THE SALESMAN TOLD ME IT WAS WIRELESS!!!!"
Hey guys, Best Buy has Fallout New Vegas for $9.99 I feel so dirty recommending Best Buy, but it is $5 cheaper for PC, Xbox and PS3.
UPDATE: I called bestbuy/cashstar and changed the email address of the gift card order, somehow the scammer had not used it yet. I just ordered what I was supposed to buy from amazon to prevent him from using it. I'm just waiting to go pick up, Logitech Z313 2.1 system.
So a happy ending after all.
Everyone here is also skipping over the fact that you can get no contract smartphones and very very cheap plans from tons of places now, at pretty reasonable prices. If someone is on Welfare, they aren't doing good, but you can't very well put in job applications with no phone. How are they going to reach you for a job interview? Get your entitled head out of your ass.
Apple brand cables, if bought from Best Buy, are in fact not the best buy. The "lightning to usb" is $20 and the "lightning to 30-pin adapter" is $40. And the rocketfish brand is $25
I know people that adamantly refuse to buy cables that are not Apple brand. Generics are in fact way cheaper.
Incidentally, the following OUTSTANDING review is for one of BestBuy's $178 HDMI cables (The AudioQuest Chocolate Cable):
"What's great about it: Too much cable for one man What's not so great: too much cable for one man I've had lots of cable in my day. Thin ones, fat ones, short ones, metal ones.. But THIS. his blew my mind. I never knew I could get so much from going chocolate. I shuddered at the price at first, but after paying the premium, you get premium quality IN YOUR FACE. Your neighbors and friends will be amazed by just looking at this monster. Even more amazed at the results. Careful, your neighbor might want some of this chocolate cable too. I would recommend this to a friend!"
Went to bestbuy the other day and saw a $600+ HDMI cable. Bricks were shat.
Edit: Link: 6' HDMI for $650
Link to locations and times. Looks like it's only June 12th from 4-8pm and June 15th from 1-5pm. Anyone have any rationale why they would go through all the trouble to set this up for only four hours on two days and not just leave them available during normal hours all week or whatnot?
Just beat me to it.
A link for the lazy: Dirt Cheap Vinyl.
The USB ports on the ps4 look like that. (the picture on the left, ignore the second part i just stole some picture from imgur)
It makes it a huge pain, since a lot of things that have a usb cord will not fit through the tiny gap in between the top and bottom of the console.
If the usb ports were flush against the body of the console so I didn't have to squeeze cords into the black hole of fuck that is that area, that would be super. Hopefully, I can just plug a usb hub (this thingy) into one of them and have like 4 ports sticking out next to my console. Hopefully. This is also a nice solution
If you want to spend 40 bucks more you will not be disappointed.
I have had these speakers for close to 2 years now they are amazing. The bass on this thing is very deep and intense. I listen to EDM so it is perfect with the different sounds i get. There is no rattling and the speakers are clear and crisp too. It has a headphone and an external jack on the side so you can plug in your ipod if you want or hook up a record player which is what i did.
I highly recommend these for your computer, you won't be disappointed and everywhere online they have had great reviews. The 40 extra dollars is worth it
I bet they're using this HDMI cable.
Amazon charges tax in a few states.
Even if you never buy things from Best Buy, they sell things like Amazon and iTunes gift cards. You'd have to check the fine print, but it sounds like it would work. I'd pay the extra $21 to also get a $50 Amazon gift card.
I saw this sole 2-star review at Best Buy earlier today, which pretty much echoed the same. S4 Active not so water resistant.
Yikes.
Best Buy also has the following games on sale:
...And more!
I know. One of my favorite things is to go to the TV department and find the guy staring at the HDMI cables (you know the ones they sell that cost from $40 - $1200
and inform him of the wonders of digital technology and how a gold plated connection is worthless (oh and how I bought 3 on newegg for like $12)
This is so weird. The prices on a lot of this DW gear don't make any sense. Unfortunately, a lot is listed as "sold out online".
Full list of DW hardware. What the hell? Wish I saw that deal on a 9000 earlier. I just checked on Midwest Percussion and the double 5000 pedal goes for over 300 bucks!
Edit:
Thanks so much for the heads up. I snagged a 5000 hi hat stand for $99 and figured I may as well grab the double kick pedal since it was only $80 (cheaper than the single pedal listed! wtf). I don't generally play double bass so I can always use it as a single.
TIL Best Buy sells drum hardware and prices it oddly.
Nyko makes pretty much the same thing and sells it for 80% less.
EDIT: Turns out you can buy them for even cheaper than that. Amazon has it for $13.25+shipping, and BestBuy has it for $14.99 with free shipping.
Yeup. That means your $3 Monoprice.com, or HarbourFreight cable is just as good as that $120 AudioQuest cable, despite those incredibly knowledgeable BestBuy reviews
$269
Bundle Includes PlayStation 3 500GB console, DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller, AC power cord, A/V cable, USB cable, Grand Theft Auto V game and PlayStation Plus 30-day trial voucher. 500GB internal hard drive
I just made this quickly off of http://www.bestbuy.com (so there's your source).
http://i.imgur.com/vqbBPBM.png
There's an obvious overall trend there, if you count apple products as outliers. And even there, you can start to see a trend within its own brand. You have weight and price rising together to a point, being about the 5lb mark. Then, it drops back down, and begins the trend over. So the trend holds for each individual category of laptop, but not between them.
Hm. Still, with that, I can see why a normal layperson would correlate 'heavier = more expensive = better'.
EDIT: I kind of want to re-do this graph a little ways down the road with more cases, and solely within the PC realm. Apple products insane pricing schemes can really throw ANY attempted correlation out of whack, as it really doesn't follow industry standard. More 'cult mentality' standard.
Several notes:
Okay that's a boldfaced lie. The closest comparison you can make would be something like this. It's got the same exact processor, GPU, and RAM. A 256GB SSD would cost around $200 if you were to search for deals a little, giving you a total price of $1600. That extra $600 gets you thinner construction, better build quality, an INFINITELY better screen, and better battery life. It wouldn't be entirely fair to compare weight, since this is a 17 inch, but still, 4 pounds for all of that is pretty amazing, even for the price.
It's interesting because on Best Buy's website it doesn't mention the play store as an eligible retailer
>At the time of purchase, we will match the current pre-tax price for new, identical, immediately available products from a local retail competitor's store or shipped from and sold by a designated major online retailers: Amazon.com, Apple.com, Bhphotovideo.com, Crutchfield.com, Dell.com, Frys.com, hhgregg.com, HP.com, HomeDepot.com, Lowes.com, Newegg.com, OfficeDepot.com, OfficeMax.com, Rakuten.com Shopping, Sears.com, Staples.com, Target.com, TigerDirect.com and Walmart.com

Halo 4 sucked dick? Hey, everyone! BestBuy is giving out 10 dollar blowjobs!
one of my close friends worked at a best buy, around the time hdmi cables first started showing up costing consumers around $40 to $60.. he told me the employee discount is something around 80% on monster cables, because best buy marks them up so high, so its not just monster's fault.
i think overpriced is an understatement. then again, its probably not the worst thing best buy has done
Rocketfish Vault Case. The thing is awesome. I no longer feel worried throwing my vita in my backpack, or anywhere else. Highly recommended.
By the by guys, there's actually some other offers going on at Best Buy for PSN cards and PS+ subscriptions:
$10 for $9.50, $20 for $18.50, or $50 for $45 (this one isn't shown there, but it works at checkout)
Don't forget, if you don't want to wait and have a bestbuy nearby they do price match amazon.com, as long as it says "sold and shipped by amazon.com".
Currently $99.98 & FS at Best Buy. Think of what you could do with those 2c!
There really is no baseball off-season with MLB Rumors.
Just a note about Ken Burns' Baseball, it's on sale at Best Buy for $40, marked down from like $180.
If you're in the US and want a physical card to give to someone, we're selling more traditional gift cards at Best Buy now, in $20, $50, and $100 denominations.
You can get a regular Wii with two games for $120.
This doesn't even come with a game and has less features.
Or how about a $1,450.00 USB to iPod cable?
