We just expanded our new scrim finder to Rainbow Six Siege, and I thought /r/Rainbow6 might like to check it out. How it works is that you create a team and add your team members, pick a time to play, and we'll notify you via Discord or through the app once we've found you an opponent. We pull stats for everyone on the team so we can figure out platform/region and match you to a similarly-skilled team.

It's only been available for Overwatch to-date (/r/overwatch thread, but R6 has been our #1 most requested game since then, so I'm hoping you all enjoy it. I'd love to hear your feedback if you get a chance to try it out! Thanks :)

May I suggest using a microwave sensor? It's another well documented motion sensor, but it is much more sensitive. Actually it may be too sensitive, it can even detect through walls, at a range of about 20 ft. Another one to consider is a PIR sensor, has more of the sensor style of the in-game prox sensor.

What do I mean by the same password as some previously compromised account?

What hackers will do is find hacked databases from other services, be it some defunct music streaming service, that major Yahoo hack or LinkedIn, Adobe or anything. Then, since a lot of people use the same password for all their accounts, the hackers will try using that email/password combo to log into your email address. If that doesn't work, they will just start logging into other services, ex: uPlay and Twitch, with that email / password combo and see if that works. Then, the hackers sell your account information to sellers which target specific audiences (gamers) or they resell the accounts themselves.

The best way to safeguard yourself is to have unique passwords. But I also highly suggest everyone running your email address through a website like https://haveibeenpwned.com - This will give you a list of websites that have been hacked which your email address shows up in.

If you've been compromised on some other service and you do use the same or similar passwords, you should change your password for any accounts that have that password.

This happened to a friend of mine and is more common than you may think. If you were hacked and couldn't figure out what happened, chances are it was something like this.

• Allows ZERO player customization besides your username. No patches, kits, outfits, paint jobs, or hats.
• Strict and limited classes with exclusive equipment, even going so far as to block certain classes when there's not enough people in a squad. You wanted an LMG or shotgun? Too bad, you only have four other grunts with you. Stick to standard-issue rifles and medics until you can organize or join a proper squad. Don't want to join a squad? Standard rifle ONLY and you might get banned on some servers.
• Limited equipment for the ENTIRE 50-MAN TEAM. You wanted to play an elite lone-wolf sniper and go around super-scoping all the grunts? Too bad, there's only three of those kits issued for the entire team and they take almost half the hour-long round to refresh. Not to mention you must have a squad lead and spotter with you first anyway.
• First-come-first-serve heavy asset rules on most servers. A few seconds too late creating a tank or CAS squad? Too bad, only the guys who joined that squad get to drive the big toys or fly the choppers, usually for the whole round.

Sure thing! It's this hat here. The rest is your run-of-the-mill craft felt. I made a custom stencil first and traced it onto the felt before cutting it and then glued it with craft glue. I think the fundamental difference is how incomparable it is to any real life gadgets.

Pulse is sort-of a thermal-visor spin-off, likely to make something less overpowered than the real-life technology.

Meanwhile Alibi has hologram balls that "pause and project on dust particles" or something. Real life decoys exist, and I think they could've made a pretty cool gadget with MGSV decoy as an example.

A common peeve people have with Sci-Fi is this: A heartbeat detector implies pretty significant things in the medical field, this can work together with Doc having a Stim pistol. The technology Jackal and Alibi possess would make so much of current technology obsolete, that it is nonsensical that nothing else seems to be using technology of similar status. Episode 7 of this Podcast touches on the topic with a writer of Wired I think.

Playing ranked being cocky, also way better than I expected for a kid and still has a pretty high voice. I'm sure it's annoying to have a cocky squeaker always talking his head off beat you. With regards to the iOS app, I know this is not the news the R6 community wants to hear but unfortunately it has had to be delayed. The iOS developer who was building the app for us had a severe change of circumstances and has to take time away.

Our funds are extremely limited however, and as such we are only able to seek someone who is willing to contribute some free time to build a product for a game they love - just like the rest of us on the R6Stats team!

In the meantime, we are hard at work making the upcoming release of our new website as mobile-friendly as possible, including a user-friendly operators display similar to the iOS preview and features only available iOS devices such as higher resolution imagery. It's the tools that are used by game developers to compress video files. For compressing you need a license, but for a simple playback you're free to use it.

GTX970 is definitely supported, so you're basically halfway there. Shadowplay is your safest bet, it's not as customisable as OBS, but it is pretty user-friendly and straightforward. Shadowplay allows you to stream on Twitch/Youtube/Facebook and record videos with little to no impact on performance. But the best part is instant replay: Shadowplay constantly saves last 5 minutes of your gameplay (by default, you can up it to 20 minutes) and so when something cool happens you just press the hotkey and everything that happened in the last 5 minutes on the screen gets saved to a designated folder.

To get it working, you just install Geforce Experience, it's included in the software (might take a quick lookaround in the Experience settings). Then, you just press Alt+Z to open Shadowplay overlay and from this point onwards it's pretty self-explanatory, but if there are some misunderstandings, I'm sure you can find it all online. I didn't, so no specific links, sorry :)

I should note that you can do all that (and more) with OBS, but Shadowplay is still pretty useful even in its simplicity, especially when you don't want to google guides on how to properly set up OBS (I don't want to). Shadowplay does its work well enough. Good luck!

Adding a skins or charms and implementing anti-cheat, as you point out, are vastly different skillsets, so stopping one won't speed up another. Even if they were exactly the same, it's a known and established fact (The Mythical Man-Month) that--unfortunately--bloating a project with developers actually slows down the project.

Also implementing anti-cheat isn't just a giant switch they flip on, nor is it some clearly-defined object they can code. It's a brainstorming, troubleshooting puzzle of trying to outsmart hackers who greatly outnumber you. It's a process.

I'm not saying that it shouldn't be their top priority (it should be). What I am saying is that neither other content being released, or delays in the anti-cheat's release should be taken as them shrugging it aside.

It's naive to base your reasoning on such observations. They may or may not be working on it in earnest. New Hello Kitty skins being released doesn't tell us one way or the other.

It's a reasonable assessment. I've been noticing an uptick on studios enacting some regulations against toxicity, such as Overwatch having a Group Finder and Endorsements; and Counter Strike: Global Offensive using upstanding players as authority.

Policing players is a huge task, especially on the internet where there are possibly thousands of reports flooding in every day. A single report may not seem like much, but over time, it builds up until an automated system or an actual human looks into it. And these developers hire people (or a third-party) to shift through these reports.

Unlike Xbox and Playstation where their teams handle naughty accounts to some extent, PC developers have to move toward self-regulation as community-owned servers (with self-regulatory admins) are becoming phased out in favor for Matchmaking. Games still have some policing from the developers, but not a whole lot of games like Ovewatch and CS:GO attempt to fix this beyond just sticking to systems similar to R6:S. Some of which evolve by going to Youtube and Twitch streams to find any naughty players too (see: Overwatch and PUBG).

Not saying R6:S should directly copy those games, but look instead to its philosophy and approach to dealing with toxicity within and among the community. If you were to ask me what R6:S can borrow, I think Overwatch's endorsement system is a nice touch as strangers can reward other strangers for being nice/sportsman/leadership.

I honestly don't know what to do about this, It was not a copyright ban, just some random ban. I'd keep things simple and just spice it up. Set up little coat of arms flags on the tables, to theme unintrusively. To prop it up, on a GSG 9 table put a torch flashlight with an invitation to use it frantically, on a GIGN table — fivestack of plates with an epi-pen on top, on an SAS one — a sturdy looking router as a jammer prop, etc. Or set up android phones on each, and prep this dokkaebi app to go off as the march starts playing for the bride's dramatic entrance (maybe skip the SAS one).

Really? The subreddit was up in arms about it around the time I stopped playing. There were a few articles written about it too. Apparently doing multiple activities in a row would eventually give you less xp than the game actually says. So if I was grinding public events the UI would say +2000 xp or whatever but the bar would only be moving up +500.

Not sure if Bungie fixed it since then, but I decided that was a sign that I should find another game to play for a while.

IQ's fine, plenty of operators could be better but it's totally okay for some to be slightly worse or better than others sometimes. She's the FPS equivalent of a &quot;hate card&quot;, a mechanic designed to limit the effectiveness of another mechanic. In stealthy-gadget metas she's great, in most metas she's decent, and that's pretty healthy design.

Jaeger has another versatile kit and a great gun. His gadget has counterplay but not without costing the attackers something in return, and his gun and speed keep him competitive. Good character imo.

Frost is one of those characters that's insane at low skill levels, mediocre at medium, and pretty good at higher level. Her gadget seems like a one trick pony at first glance but actually has tons of potential if you're creative with it. I could break it down if you want (give me any excuse honestly). But by winrate she's my best defender, and as far as actually good players she's Macie's 2nd best, Kixstar's 2nd best, and Serenity17's best. She's not proleague viable obviously, but she's a good character.

His kit is pretty boring honestly, and he's shit if you're not coordinating or playing at a high level. I wouldn't rework him, but that's because reworks should be a last resort for inherently flawed kits. I think Castle has his place in the game, but I don't think he's particularly well-designed. The trick is to make him more fun in casual without breaking him, and I haven't thought of a way to do that yet.

My boyfriend bought it back in the day from the RimWorld website. However if you have Steam you can just buy it on Steam! If I recall correctly when he bought it, they gave him five "keys" per patch and emailed him with the new keys every patch. He recently bought me the steam copy cause I managed to talk him into playing it finally and we ended up both playing it at the same time.

Honestly I'm not sure, for me the reason I bought the season pass was not having to pay the 25k renown and to support the game. Obviously both of those reasons are still valid. (Operation Health wouldn't have happened if Ubisoft wasn't planning on the long term support of the game.) The side benefits of early access and discounts, while if they weren't there I likely wouldn't have purchased the pass, weren't my main reasoning for purchasing.

The client side disabling of the HUD would be a terrible Idea , it would be more frustrating than pleasing to the players to know everytime they get killed that the other player had an advantage.

A VERY minimal HUD is the way to go imo, red orchestra 2's realism mode is a good example of a minimal system (as momomo stated). To me, all HUD should be gone, Exept of course the players remaining and time counter.

Yes, this. I have comcast Xfinity and I have been getting the error since TTS. My friend, the next town over (5 miles) also has Xfinity, yet he has never seen the error. But yes, a majority of people getting the error use Xfinity. Try using TunnelBear dude, its free and it works great with relatively low latancy (75ms) for me.

The Errors don't affect everyone. But if a single person in your party has the error it will affect the whole party. So this is a walk through to help find out who is the problem & how to get around it while UbiSoft fixes it on their end next week.

I had a similar issue to this gaming on my universities network. What worked really well for me was simply using a VPN that supported P2P such as Private Internet Access. You should look into getting one. They are very simple to set up. Your internet traffic will go through an encrypted tunnel. So the school network will see traffic going through but can't look at it to block it. This could solve your issue as it solved mine.

NOTE Having a VPN may be against your school's internet usage policy so make sure to check. P2P is usually high volume traffic and they may notice. You are basically bypassing the fire wall which is usually frowned upon. I used it for 4 years at my school and never had any issues however.

Maybe you dif spend time on it, but the bit that makes me somewhat doubtful is that I'm able to get a similar effect with a free app such as PolyGen.

The launcher I used was Nova Launcher, in order to make sure scrolling works properly make sure that you only have 2 pages. If you want the Apps to line up like in the video you have to go into Nova Settings > Desktop > Desktop Grid and set it to 9 vertical and 6 horizontal. Alternatively you can adjust the size of the box to suit your needs.

The Icon Pack I used is Whicons which you can find by searching for it in the Play Store and make sure to disable status bar and the dock in Nova Settings.

This will not work on phones that have a aspect ratio taller than 16:9 since I don't have access to a phone with a taller display, however with some fiddling you might be able to get it to work.

Do you have F.lux on your computers? It alters the lighting and colours of your monitor to make it way less intense to look at. I set mine to the minimum setting because I used to get terrible migraines and after a few minutes you can't even notice it unless you're using a programme like Photoshop.
