If you have lag, try these:
If you have lag on mobile device, turn off location services, this helped me with the lag.
Also the App should be on the PlayStore:
The XDA modified version is here:
Cool, maybe one day you'll even be able to remote play your xbox one from your phone with a bluetooth controller.
I use it on my phone, it works very well!

Unless you count being exclusive to one brand of android phone as "out on all Android phone", I guess it's because your statement is simply not true. You owning a Sony phone doesn't make it out on all Android phone.
Just download this app for iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ps-remote-play/id1436192460
Or Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en_US&gl=US
If your PlayStation is hardwired Ethernet, you can comfortably play from your phone. If it’s connected through Wi-Fi then it would be good for keeping an eye on Duty Queues or crafting 😊
YES! You need to set it up from home ahead of time but you can download the free PS4 Remote Play app from the Apple AppStore or Google Play Store to do this.
PS4 Remote Play by PlayStation Mobile Inc. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ps4-remote-play/id1436192460?mt=8
Also on Vita & Windows 10 Store
I’ll post as a comment as well
No, the app is exclusive to Xperia phones only, and selected ones at that. If you try searching for the app in Play Store you won't get any results, but if you Google it you do but you can't install it because it only works on Xperia phones.
If you manually install the apk file it doesn't work either and if you go all the way into rooting your device and installing an apk mode for it to work, it does work but DS4 pairing won't work at all.
I have the app for iphone and they have one for android too. I think you just sign in on the app and it connects. They have the app for Windows too.
The store description says Android 5.0
> You need the following items to use this app:
> ・Mobile devices with Android 5.0 or later installed
>・A PlayStation 4 system with the latest system software version
> ・An account for PlayStation Network
> ・High-speed Internet access (home Wi-Fi network)
I've tried with 3.0.0 which is the latest updated version, still same.
Does it give any error code when it says that is not compatible?
This might help you, the method I was referring to is the same but with a smartphone running the Remote Play App instead of the PS Vita.
That's a pretty bad decision to require Android 10 to use a DS4 controller...I'm almost certain I can pair a DS4 controller to my Note 8 (running Pie/Android 9) to do other gaming...
Edit: It appears that you only need Android 10 to use the DS4's touchpad. link
Or...maybe not? Text at the bottom seems to contradict that. If the Android 10 restriction is truly in place that's fucking ridiculous considering the few phones out right now that support it (mostly Pixel phones).
You may need to be by your PS4 to set it up but it should be straight forward instructions on the app
Edit: actually turns out it’s locked to Sony devices. Sorry I have an iPhone so I’m not really in the know about how this stuff works on android.
I think he's talking about the PS4 Remote Play app which is exclusive to Sony phones..
If you have a Sony Xperia series phone then it's just as easy as downloading this app.
If you have any other android phone, follow this short tutorial: http://trendblog.net/how-to-install-ps4-remote-play-on-any-android-phone-or-tablet/
Keep in mind that you do need a decent phone. A 4 year old phone will likely have issues.
It is pretty awesome to play GTA V on your phone though, quite a few people don't know about remote play.
It streams to any machine on your network and using a VPN you can stream it around the world assuming you have a connection good enough.
Here is the Shield running Crysis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs5HmGuNTX4
Yeah it is not 100% as good as a native PC, but it is still some impressive technology. The application has a video quality setting in case you need to limit it for bandwidth reasons.
It would be better if they incorporated the remote play app into the PlayStation app and stopped blocking non-$ony android devices from installing it. But I guess then they wouldn't sell many vitas pstvs or xeperia phones..
It is free, in fact. By default the Google Play store just says it's incompatible with any non-Xperia devices. Someone else has just made an .apk that removes that Xperia check, but it's not cracked in any way.
The way these things work isn't really all that mysterious. It's a server/client relationship that just shares very specific data. Making a remote play client is probably just a matter of figuring out some sort of authentication key and a way to decode the video/audio stream, which I imagine is pretty standardized (think Twitch). And interpreting controller input/output is trivial for any sort of programmer. It's not the same as if someone, say, created a PC client for Playstation Now that circumvented the license checks and whatnot. There's not really any money or intellectual property at stake with a remote play client.
I use my Steam Deck but I'm pretty sure you can use pretty much any Android or iOS device through the PS Remote Play app, along with a bluetooth controller.
You could sideload remote play android app to the quest and play normal ps4 games on a giant screen virtual screen on the headset.
There most certainly is an app for that. The add-on actually uses a library that basically impersonates that app.
However, you can't automate anything with just the app. Hence the add-on. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And yes, that specific use case might be a bit gimmicky, I'd argue that a lot of stuff we set up with HA is. It at least applies to me personally! 😂
But cases like saving energy or getting insights in how much time you spend on your console might not be that gimmicky. I'd say that the only limit is your imagination. 😉
If you are confused about how to install Remote Play on your Quest, there are likely numerous Youtube videos you can follow.
There is an app, but I've never been able to get it to connect to my PS4. I haven't tried with my PS5 or Dual Sense because I haven't had a need to remote play lately.
If you already have PS4, you can try streaming that to your PC or phone. Both iOS and Android have PS4 streaming apps, as well as PC and Mac: https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/index.html
If yo don't have a Vita, any iPhone or Android phone will work too! You can play with a DualShock 4 connected to your phone over Bluetooth. The app requires you to be connected to a Wi-Fi network, but you don't have to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your PS4 (but it'll definitely work better if you are.)
iOS version and Android version
You can also stream PS4 games to your mobile phone, and play with a DualShock 4 connected to the phone over Bluetooth. The app requires you to be connected to a Wi-Fi network, but you don't have to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your PS4 (but it'll definitely work better if you are.)
This is the official one.
They also made these other apps.
Letting everyone know that Remote Play is now on Android
Here's a link to it:
However, on my (Xperia!) phone, this just says "This version does not support your current device" (paraphrased), and I can't install it.
I've got an Xperia phone, but perhaps my Android version is too old (I have 7.0), and from other comments it sounds like Sony only supports the Android app on certain Xperia models.
Sony's PS4 apps have always been pretty bad, so I'm not holding my breath for any of this to be fixed (an interesting contrast to their phones themselves, which generally have very good software).
Apparently it does show up in the Google Play store, but is limited to installing on certain Sony Xperia devices only.
Is on the Playstore it just wont let you download it unless you trick the Playstore in to thinking your phone is a Sony one.
~~Works on your~~ phone ~~too :)~~ EDIT: Looks like if you don't have the right Sony phone you might need to have a rooted phone. Or you could just stream the PS4 to your PC and use Steam Link to stream it to your phone, which will work on any decent phone.
Little more finicky, especially cause you'll need to find a way to prop up your phone where you can still see it or buy some kind of controller clip to hold it, but still, it's nice to have.
Should work fine locally, probably very slow over the internet, but could still be fine to play some games or do basic inventory/tower stuff in Destiny.
If you're browsing the Google Play store using an Android phone then it's not going to show up since it's incompatible. You either have to browse it from an Xperia phone or from the web.
no, you understood me wrong.
there is Playstation App, PS Messages, PS Communities, PS Video , remoteplay app(only for sony devices) etc.
For PC, there is remoteplay software.
So have you got remoteplay in bluestacks?
just try to manually connect the ps4 to bluestacks, by entering code etc.
Okay, turns out I was wrong. I'm sorry. I should've done proper research before commenting. You can stream to Android devices, not to iOS devices. On Android, the app you want is called PlayStation Remote Play.
There are third party alternatives for iOS, but it's possible these are bad. There's one called PlayCast that people say is good, but a recent update to the way PlayStation handles streaming has made the app incompatible. This has happened a few times in the past, it looks like, so it will probably be made to work soon-ish.
Yes.. its a separate application available on android.
However, I think it's only available on certain phones, but thats a non issue, just download and install the apk.. I recommend getting it from a legit source like https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/ps4-remote-play-android-thread-t3068225
Remote play is a separate application, avaiable on android? because its not going up in the google play store, only the playstation app is.
I can find the app online right here but its not showing up on my phones store, odd
Yeah, it's as old as the PS4 really: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay
Afaik they released it for the iPhone some time ago as well. Don't know how to search the App Store from then web though :/
How am I blind?
You mentioned nothing about your network outside of home.
If you'd bothered to tell me that what you was referring to, I might have been able to answer without being a dick.
You need a stable wifi connection.
EDIT: Or, you know, read the app details
The bot linked the wrong app. There is the PlayStation app that's indeed pre-installed, but there is also the PS4 Remote Play app, which is different and I'm pretty sure the one that you actually need. In my case anyway the Remote Play app did not come pre-installed.
EDIT: To clarify, the regular PlayStation app is AFAIK just used for thibgs like viewing your PS profile and friends and all that.
um .... lag free Sony official remote play
edit: if outside us you must find the apk outside the store and side load it here
Links to apps.
PS4 remote play IOS / android
One cast for xbone IOS the android version entered beta last months so it will be coming out shortly(?)
Edit: for PC the windows 10 Xbox companion app can also stream it, and there were news that Xbox is releasing an official version of their mobile streaming app in October as well.
No, there is an android version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en_US
Oh god damnit, I thought the official app was all Android devices.
Okay click on the very first link:
Begin reading... once you get to the 4th sentence on the page you'll see this:
A Remote Play app is currently available in the Google Play store and allows devices with Android 5.0 or higher to make use of the feature. DualShock 4 controllers can be used with the Remote Play app as long as the device has Android 10 or higher.
DISCLAIMER: The Android Version of this was a huge pain in the ass for me to originally set up, and I am not your IT guy. Depending on your phone, it might be super annoying.
So, I mentioned remote play in a comment earlier and was surprised by the amount of people who had no idea what it was. Below is a hopefully quick and simple guide to getting full remote access to your PS4 from a smartphone or laptop. Yes, I am literally copying instructions so no need to point that out.
Firstly and Easiestly - Remote Play yo PC
1. Download from here: https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/index.html --- Follow on screen instructions until you have the app. Super easy.
2. Enable Remote Play. Select (Settings) > [Remote Play Connection Settings], and then select the checkbox for [Enable Remote Play].
3. Activate the system as your primary PS4™ system. Select (Settings) > [PlayStation Network/Account Management] > [Activate as Your Primary PS4] > [Activate].
4. To start Remote Play while your PS4™ system is in rest mode, select (Settings) > [Power Save Settings] > [Set Features Available in Rest Mode]. Then select the checkboxes for [Stay Connected to the Internet] and [Enable Turning On PS4 from Network].
5. Turn on your PS4™ system or put it into rest mode.
6. Connect a controller to your computer with a USB cable, or pair it using a DUALSHOCK™4 USB wireless adaptor.
7. Launch (PS4 Remote Play) on your computer, and then click [Start].
8. Sign in with your Sony Entertainment Network account used for your PS4™ system.
Secondly and Harderly - Remote Play yo Phone
Okay, if you have a SONY smartphone (so .37% of you), all you need is this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en
Now, for the other 99.63% of you:
1. Download the Remote Play version 1.5.0 APK: https://apkplz.com/android-apps/ps4-remote-play/ps4-remote-play-1-5-0 ---- I personally use this version on my Samsung S7 and I am virtually positive that the newest version of the app only supports SONY phones.
2. Once it is installed, follow the same basic steps on your PS4 as you did on the PC version.
3. To connect your controller to your phone via bluetooth, hold the SHARE button on your DS4 until the light bar blinks white. You will now be able to find your controller in your phone's list of nearby bluetooth devices. Some phones will not comply with the controller without being rooted (cough, cough, FUCK YOU Samsung). If this is the case, you will need to:
4. Accessorize. If bluetooth is not an option, you will need a double sided Micro USB cable. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Mobile-Device-Adapter-UUUSBOTG8IN/dp/B018M8YEX0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1485387047&sr=8-4&keywords=micro+usb+to+micro+usb
5. Accessorize, continued. This mount is absolutely necessary, no exceptions: https://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Smart-Clip-PlayStation-4/dp/B00FLLFGO8/ref=s9_simh_gw_g63_i1_r?_encoding=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=Y698QJ90X12FH6XSSR65&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=a6aaf593-1ba4-4f4e-bdcc-0...
I hope this was helpful to all of you little MUT crackheads who can't live without the game throughout the day like myself. Good Luck!
Million people (and those are exclusively on high end Sony mobile devices) say differently.
Yes you can with this app
Yet to try it due to lack of "current gen" consoles
Yes, although this probably isn't what you mean. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay
i doesn't work with android 10 on my pixel yet, give it a try though
Remote Play is available on some models of phone, mostly Sony branded, like Xperia.
htc bolt. The app is the official ps4 remote app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en
This is the official version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en_US&gl=US
Here's the Play Store App:
If you don't mind leaving your PS4 in rest mode all the time, you could try using the PS Remote Play app.
Yes and no.
Yes because you can join a PS chat using pc via PS Remote Play but that needs Paystation.
You can also join a party or reply to a chat on your phone via Remote play on iPhone and iPad or Remote Play on Android.
No, because you can't do it on pc without a Playstation.
Existe una forma que va por wifi y que no necesariamente tiene que ser en la misma red siempre y cuando la ps4 este prendida, se llama Uso a distancia de tu PS, también esta para cel

no, any 8bitdo wireless usb adapter doesn't support the ps5 yet.
however, you can used the dualshock 4 controller with the back button attachment with the official ps remote play:
for android (must be sideload on android tv): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay (might need a button mapping software via root on your android phone for android controllers and the 8bitdo wireless usb adapter via otg connection)(ps4 controllers works too with android 9 and below device via otg wired connection, bluetooth for android 10 and above)
for ios (must be sideload on mac pc or laptop with a app. on it for apple tv): https://apps.apple.com/app/id1436192460
for windows (don't know if any of the 8bitdo wireless usb adapter supports the back buttons for the 8bitdo pro 2 wired or wireless, you can used ths - https://factschronicle.com/how-to-use-an-xbox-one-or-360-controller-on-ps4-remote-play-22514.html for your 8bitdo pro 2 controller with a bluetooth 4.0 with the ultimate software in xinput mode to cusomized xinput buttons 1st before you start the ps remote stream): https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/ps4_win.html
for mac pc (don't what gamepad controllers work with it): https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/ps4_mac.html
it works but sometimes it'll input lag hard on the stream device (pc and mobiles) but still perfect on the ps5 connecting to that tv.
Are you on ps4? I just use the remote app on my phone.
he's probably using PS4 remote play app
Yeah you can use your phone screen as a controller, you need to download the remote play app.
Yes its called https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay
I dont play skyblock so I unfortunately cant be of much help with it, BUT! I do play on ps4 and use an afk fish farm.
Check out this farm
https://youtu.be/Xg3ecfv58xE by silentwisperer.
The farm can be used to just normally fish but if you want it to be AFK for PS4, you'll need a smartphone and two apps
Tapping and Remote Play for PS4, here is a small tutorial I posted in the comments of that video.
>For PS4 users looking for a way to afk fish
>on the app store is "Remote Play" for ps4 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay
>I use that to connect my phone to my ps4 as a controller and second screen, then I use this auto clicker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.autoclicker.clicker
>Aim it at the use button and set the delay to 1 second.
Then I just leave my phone plugged in sitting (i use it when I go to sleep typically, make sure you have a robust storage system on you fisher) and let it do its thing.
>here are some screen shots https://imgur.com/a/osN0D8X
>I couldn't screen shot the playstation remote play interface, it seems to be blocking all attempts to screen capture. But in the one photo you can see a '1' with a crosshair, you drag this over to the "use" button and click the play button on the controls to start the clicker.
>The interface for remote play will have opaque floating buttons on screen, you just have to drag the target '1' on L2 or whatever button you cast the rod with
>Once you're in the app this will hopefully make sense
Here's the android app. Remote Play works fine on both phone and on PC. But I wouldn't play online.
For anyone who plays on PS4: If you left your PS4 in rest mode you can log into your PS4 remotely with Sony's official PS4 Remote Play app. The app is available for iOS, Android, Windows10, and Mac.
I use Remote Play often with GTAO, it works quite well if you have decent internet infrastructure. Even if you don't have the best internet access right now, Remote Play should at least be sufficient enough to log into gta, go into warstock and get the RC tank and then log out. As i mentioned your PS4 must have been left in Rest mode, as it wont turn on remotely if you completely shut it off. Also it is possible that you may have had to enable remote play within settings on the PS4, as i don't recall if its on by default or not.
Best of luck, hope you all get your RC tanks.
Try this link
um... Remote Play (on android?) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay

This is what you're talking about?
Inquiry. Android phone shop from Google Play store correct? If it is, Sony Remote Play is available...
I might be mistaken. But is this not the same app on the android store?
It's for sony phones only
This is the app you need

PS4 Remote Play
Interesting, when I go to the https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en it says no compatible with my phone. Not sure what devices qualify.
Already with the downvotes not even checking if it's real. Nice
Here ya go
Here's one for PC
For Sony Devices
There is also a "hacked" Version out there, for non-Sony Devices.
You can remote play on android phones/tablets.
You can use this to use remote play on your android phone if you really wanted to.
You paid for a remote play app?
My PlayStation app redirected me to download remote play. On Galaxy S5.
