Monitor: Samsung 27" C27F398 This actually might not be the exact model, but the specs are about the same. Just a normal 60hz, 1080p Samsung monitor for my launch day PS4. The original PS4 can't output anything better, so this does just fine.
Controller: Standard Dualshock 4 (Newer Model With Backlit Trackpad). I get a new controller every September with warranty.
The best tips I can give for working the market is to use the synergy trick. To do this, press up on the right thumbstick to show the synergy of every card from 59 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. This way, when new cards hit the market, their stats will show instead of synergy, and you'll know it's a new card when you're refreshing the 59th minute.
Also, instead of thinking "is this a good deal" on a card, you should be going through the process of purchasing on just about every new card that appears on the 59th minute. In the time it takes to load the Buy now and confirm buy now screens is when you should be thinking about if it's a good deal or not.
I also recommend memorizing all of the 83-84 rated cards and alumni as well. This is where the money is right now. Lots of room for profit potential and investment.
Real talk.
I fucking love my wife. I lucked out having someone like that really love me back. She's brilliant (like objectively the smartest human being I've met) and just the most genuinely kind and thoughtful person. She's the only person I've ever met that I'd trust to make vitally important decisions for me, like another part of my brain or something.
When my dad died and we were just dating she's drive 5-6 hours a day from her internship to be with me. HUGE internship, make or break, cutthroat shit and she insisted on throwing it out the window to just stay with me. I made her go to it because I knew what it was for her (law is weird, if you don't do an internship and get hired you're like damaged goods). She'd literally drive 2-3 hours through traffic every afternoon just to eat dinner with me and be there, only to wake up early as fuck and drive another 2-3 hours through traffic. I guess some days you reflect on stuff like that, and today is definitely one of those days for me.
This always makes me think of her: Method Man - All I Need --- lyrics
I usually drop $100 at the beginning of the year and that's it.
However, if there's "price glitches" like Amazon selling $75 worth of points for $48, I'll take advantage of them if I feel like splurging. (The deal died last night: https://www.amazon.com/NHL-8900-HUT-Points-Pack/dp/B075K4PV94)
I make enough money, and spend enough time on this game to warrant the entertainment value per dollar.
Hey Guys,

There's another third party app for Android (not sure if there's an iOS version)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=psplay.grill.com
You can play on data with that app, only downside is it costs a few dollars to buy it. Also takes a little bit of setup on your router, but it's not super complicated and they have instructions you can follow
Overall though I prefer it over the first party remote play app, as I can login from pretty much anywhere now

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." - Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Sorry to get all samurai on you, but this is definitely applicable. The others suggesting to play offline are right. You need to figure out what your team is best at before you can focus on what your opponent is best at. Who is your shooter, who is the guy that you want to wheel the puck out of your zone with, who do you trust to play back in the case of a breakout?
If you want to play offline sometime I'd be happy to play you and see what else I can pick up from your play style. Definitely play some offline games in the meantime.
I found a video online that allowed me to change the server settings to hop off the default one and on to a different one hosted by Google.
Here's a link that discusses it, although it's for Playstation, not sure which platform you're on.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/691087-playstation-4/67931540
I'm in and thank you for the backes man
Put up the wrong video but still a good one from last year
Alrighty, I looked for something like this last year to help with the grind but no luck. Your post and the replies got me thinking: "I have to be smarter than Homer Simpson to solve this"
So I built a button pusher: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPmEc9kHfzZo7GPySQby9lDoB-YTOvVr_3YjgTDEcON-7oxnkADWu6waa7CiuPDcA/photo/AF1QipNjt0CDLLS93uTpf8CBAZiBQGCsVtG66WkyJV89?key=ZlhteUl2OEpOX09DNnJmd3NreDVXWWg5b05BenN3
I made mine out of the rotisserie portion of my BBQ (which I don't use). I found the biggest challenge was levelling the tongs of the routisserie at the right height to push the button. I used old copies of NHL since they're now completely useless to me to get the right height. The second challenge was not destroying the controller, so I put about 10 layers of painter's tape over the button. This provides a bit of a cushion but still allows enough force to push the button. A few bandaids would also do the trick. If you have a controller with a ruined RB or thumb stick (from playing NHL), they are perfect to use for this. You only need a functional A button (or X for PlayStation)
The results have been good. I've "played" 5 games so far entirely using this button pusher with no problems. It has cut my game time by about half and requires me to intervene only at the end of the game to start another instead of every period like before.
Now my problem is contracts :)
Hopefully this gives you guys a few ideas on how to make the grind more bearable :)
I don't think EA would release the game and also announce a future discounted sales date.
You can use a price history website like this one to reference NHL 17's price and compare it to 18: https://pricespy.co.uk/product.php?pu=3680328

I see you are on xbox one - do yourself a favour and buy the points on Amazon. They are about 50% cheaper.
https://www.amazon.com/NHL-17-Ultimate-Points-Digital/dp/B01L9R7GR2
I am on PS4, so I could not take advantage of the sale.
To put this in contrast, I paid $12 for 900 points.
Man, I hate that EA can't fix this... I know it will be a pain in the ass to.. BUT. For now - get a VPN service. I use NordVPN, you can download a config file, upload it to your router and have your router connect to whatever country/vpn service. Great thing on this is it hides your actual IP address. So if a booter is trying to boot you, they won't see your IP, they'll see a list of a 0.0.0.0...
As you said in your post that people with good equipment can get your IP even if you use a VPN and if you use a free VPN there is a 100% guarantee they can get and get it quite easily. Cheaper VPNs will not protect you as much even if they offer that "100% protection bullshit"
If you pay for a VPN most will not have leaks of the IPs and are usually quite secure.
If you are going to pay for a VPN I'd recommend ExpressVPN
Thats why I use Gel Tabz on both of my controllers. Had them on for almost a year and still haven't had any issue with them. They feel great and good grip, prevents the rubber from coming apart.
I use my Steam Deck but I'm pretty sure you can use pretty much any Android or iOS device through the PS Remote Play app, along with a bluetooth controller.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en_US&gl=US
This is what I was using. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01H5KKRLO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 People here recommended it and it was great. Sound is a bit of an issue but for gameplay it was the first time I was playing and felt like things reacted properly. You could also see the difference between what it was like being on the quick reaction time of games for a change playing against someone that was on a monitor/TV that didn't react well. I've been hoping this becomes available again but I haven't seen one in the last 5 months. It was also just $188 when I bought it.
Post a question asking what other people are using. I'm not sure what would be comparable or even better at the moment but I'm sure there are a ton of people here who know what to get.
I live near NYC and I bought nice gaming router Asus AX 88U router I don’t know anything about that. I set my router to connect to NordVPN at Manassas VA server and it worked but XB connection settings said it was a double NAT, the ping was horrible, so that wasn’t a good idea. If you have any suggestions I am all ears. I’m almost Div1 but I feel I have to play 30 percent better than the average QC person or I’d take the L.
Did all my bronzes, didn't get over an 85. My collection packs I got 8 good cards (88+), I've bought probably over 100 packs and have only ever gotten a Bobrovsky. Everybody wants to be "that guy" but EA just seduces you with the thought of getting an amazing player in a quick way. I didn't think it would happen but Breaking Benjamin is relevant again. https://www.instagram.com/p/-Uic0dvmum/?taken-by=benjaminburnleybb
Come check out the Trade day on twitch people up include

TOTYs (Crosby, Kopitar, Tarasenko, Gostisbehere)
I used to love spotify, but like like all good things, are now behind a paywall. I found a open source program/app called new pipe and it's awesome for now. I can listen or watch YT videos, download them, put them in offline playlists, with zero ads or prompts, no unwanted annoying interruptions. Anyone looking for a good android music app should check out https://newpipe.net/
I work for a company that deals with licensing fairly frequently, although its not for Video Games. I imagine that for a player like Lemieux or Gretzky, every time that the fee is re-negotiated, it will increase. It probably got to a point where EA found it was too expensive. I imagine they could have asked anywhere from 50k a year.
This article has some information of the deal EA has to make with FIFA for licensing. It provides a good comparison : https://www.quora.com/How-much-does-EA-Sports-pay-FIFA-for-its-license

I go up 2-0 after he passes it out to my player and I score. He pauses the game and I get kicked off the servers. No league title for me now. This is seriously bull shit.
When you record a clip you edit it/save it and make sure you upload to OneDrive.
Then, on your PC login to your xbox account on https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-us/
Navigate to your saved videos and you should be able to right click and download it.
After that you upload to youtube.
It's pretty easy. :)
They are deflections -- you need to understand that. Rehashing old stories of how and why we are at this point are not productive for anything. They don't actually address a situation, it's just story telling and finger pointing (aka, deflecting).
I think at some point here I should take a step back to let you know -- my comments are not entirely directed at you personally. You've just stepped forward as the only one communicating on the issue, most comments are directed at the mod team in general. If I were to direct something personally at the mod team, the one who's name comes up most often seems to have his head re-buried in the sand.
And that is one of the key points here. All the finger pointing, story telling, "YOU MUST SEND MODMAILS" and pointless back and forths cost the community an opportunity.
Instead of setting aside differences, or instead of sitting back expecting "them" to come to "us" -- this could (and in many opinions) should have been handled very differently. Unfortunately, this became a power struggle whether you are willing/able to see it or not. It has caused the community to miss out on something that was potentially very good and highly in demand.
Case in point: https://www.strawpoll.me/15395740/r
If that is not an overwhelming response from the community who actually cared to vote (even if they voted for I don't care). 67% WANT HIM HERE. 94 PERCENT ARE NOT AGAINST IT.
I'd imagine they'd use AWS reserve instances but [here are the prices for "on-demand" which are higher cost]https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/on-demand/) since that chart is easier to follow.
Apparently you can't if you have downloaded it which is fucking stupid, microsoft will refund and many PC platforms but not Sony... what a joke https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/cancellation-policy/#preorders

Take a look at NordVPN it’s awesome IMO. I only use it for gaming during the last day of cs to avoid boots. It slows the internet down so I wouldn’t constantly use. Also great for downloading movies or just keeping your isp and governments hands off your data.
I have no idea how many my VPN has but I know I can choose a proxy from at least 20 locations, each with multiple IP addresses. I use Private Internet Access. The thing is, though, I was always able to vote more times then the stated allowable limit. At first, there was none. Then when it was supposed to be 5, I was still somehow getting 6. Then it went to being able to do 3 when it was supposed to be 1. I believe they do not advertise the number of, or the IP addresses they use, as best to avoid getting them blocked from streaming services and the like (the reason I have it in the first place)
Where are you from? I am from Finland so I have to use an American IP to get access to the chat.
If you aren't from North America you can try downloading Zenmate from the Chrome web store and use it to set your IP to an American one. Then try and see if there is a chat option.
Unsure what console you're on but i'd definitely look into buying something like these controller hand grips
/u/svtman151 /u/haber88 Just fyi you can pretty much stack the odds to have a kid of the sex you want.

Making of a Great One. I actually read this and it was pretty interesting, it was written by Mark Messier, Brett Hull, and Gretzky's father.
Edit: As a psychology book, I highly recommend Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl. It's about him and his experiences in auschwitz. My AP psych teacher recommended it to me due to my interest in WW2.
Yeah. I have the white cocomotion, but on amazon some lunatic is selling it for $200.
This one seems similar (maybe even improved?)

>I'll say it, RHC is ruining HUT more than EA. EA is just balancing out all the BS that happens on here.
Get some of these. Your knees are gonna be absolutely shot if you keep this up without them.
It's fun. I made about 2 million coins in week 1 and 2 solely from grinding the 59th minute for about 50+ hours.
I haven't really been able to grind the market the past few days. I got lazy and just spent $48 to get $75 worth of points due to that USA Amazon "hack": https://www.amazon.com/NHL-8900-HUT-Points-Pack/dp/B075K4PV94
I figured I got some birthday money this weekend, and just accepted a 10k+ salary boost promotion at my job, so why not go crazy. I ended up pulling like 400k worth of pulls (EVO Laine, 2x Tarasenko, Kucherov, etc.)
I'll be back to the market grind as more legends/EVOs come out in the next few days.
Lol at missions.
I got some good pulls from my challenges like McDavid, Tarasenko, Hall, Weber, OEL, Matthews, etc.
I spent $100 on day 1 from a gift card I got at work, and then another $48 due to that weird amazon price glitch where you can get $75 worth of points for $48: https://www.amazon.com/NHL-8900-HUT-Points-Pack/dp/B075K4PV94
I also spend way too much time flipping cards on the auction house. I can put on a movie/stream and just zone out on the 59th minute buying and selling stuff nonstop for small profits that add up.
It depends on what you're looking for.
I think for input lag and gaming with low delay, you'll want to look in the 23"-27" gaming monitors. I'd recommend checking out /r/buildapcsales for some deals on monitors.
Personally, I use a Samsung 27" 1080p for my PS4/Xbox: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-27-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor-S27E390H/dp/B00TR05716
I use a 34" curved 1440p monitor for my PC though. This wouldn't benefit a PS4/Xbox One (standard) since they don't support ultrawides or 1440p: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-PXF79-34-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00PXYRMPE
I don't see a 10% amazon digital discount so what am I missing there?
if there's sentimental value, you're gonna have to repair it manually. look for a product like this https://www.amazon.com/Qunqi-Joystick-Wireless-Controller-Rocker/dp/B0144AH4FU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1494538091&sr=8-3&keywords=xbox+one+analog+sticks (I have no experience with this brand)
Grab some tools and watch a youtube video. Maybe Ebay you can find some official ones to put in, instead of a third party brand.
Same thing happened to my neighbor. He said there's a resistor in the power supply that needs to be replaced if IRC. It was a cheap fix and it's on the back porch now for football season. I wanna say it was a samsung LCD 42". Edit: maybe it was a capacitor... I just texted him and I'll try and get back https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Plasma-Capacitor-Repair-Replacement/dp/B0044J4U2W
I use a 27" 1080p Samsung Monitor for my PS4 since it can't do anything above that: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-27-Inch-Viewing-Monitor-S27D590P/dp/B00IEZGW8C
For my PC monitor right next to it, I use a Dell U3415W which is a 34" ultra-wide 1440p curved screen. I got lucky and there was a Dell Outlet sale for $375 on this bad boy: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-PXF79-34-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00PXYRMPE
I love the curved screen for my PC gaming, but I don't think it'd have any effect on a PS4/Xbox One because it'd just be large black bars on the ultrae wide sides, which kills the curve appeal. Plus for curve to work well, you have to be sitting right in front of it like a computer monitor, so a TV 20+ feet away doesn't make much effect.
I bought mine via amazon.com and it sent fine. Link
OR you can find it via smile.amazon.com/
Hey man I was just in the same market. Noone really carries them yet but if you search strikepack f.p.s dominator it's a pretty cheap alternative until they are released here. Ordered mine on Amazon got it in 2 days https://www.amazon.ca/PS4-Strike-Pack-FPS-Dominator/dp/B01L8QHXJA/ref=pd_zg_rss_ms_ce_electronics_5
I like "The Boys of Winter"
It's about the 1980 USA Hockey team and goes in depth about each of the players and what they did before, during, and after with their careers and how the 1980 Olympics affected their lives.
For playing games TV's under 40" are best for gaming. Anything bigger will force you to move your eyes slightly to see and can make a difference. I play on a 46" Rca LED tv at school becuase I got a great deal on it and it works perfectly fine; although I prefer my 24" ASUS monitor at home.
Edit: Asus Monitor | RCA TV
https://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Wireless-Dual-Band-Anywhere-EA6350-FFP/dp/B00KF93DMI
I don't pay for it directly so I'm not sure the speed but nothing changed. Prior to changing the hardware I had perfect performance and now I get 400ish mps
I'll start us off.
If you're into science fiction, do yourself a favor and read the three book series that starts with The Three Body Problem. Fucking mindblowing. I don't recommend reading the whole description/overview. Just know it's an awesome book and jump in.
You guys ever use Kodi+ add-ons? Free TV shows/movies/live-sports. High quality, streaming. It's insanity
The 3rd ones down I've used before, lasted about 2 months before they crapped out, so that's 4 months (2 sets) for $5.00 not too bad. I just got different ones from Target (can't remember the brand) that are also pretty decent.
Good question, and you're right it does feel like that sometimes. The "why do I even bother" thought is maybe monthly. I see it as partly my way of donating my time for a thankless task. It's a good way to exercise your mental "control what you can, otherwise let it go" and the like too, so I see it as somewhat of a mental challenge. I get enough hate mail and random crap that there's no lack of material to practice ignoring. I'm a big fan of Stoicism as a way to operate (here's a good book on it).
> “Begin each day by telling yourself: Today I shall be meeting with interference, ingratitude, insolence, disloyalty, ill-will, and selfishness"
I do get some out of the blue PMs from people who tell me they appreciate it, so that is nice. Once in a while someone will choose me for a giveaway and I'll get a fun player to use, and they'll say it's because they appreciate my help. Those sorts of things help counterbalance it. Last year I got a MOV Perry I was stoked to use for like four months of the game's cycle.
I don't glamorize the job to people wanting to mod. I like to let them know what they're in for.
I doubt it is on any of the streaming services at the moment. You might have to rent from Amazon. If you're into suspenseful and bloody horror, it's a must-watch. The director, Jeremy Saulnier, is a gem. His films are so beautifully shot. Green Room is also very true to modern punk and nazi skinhead culture. Major 10/10 for me! If you end up watching it, let me know what you think. Good luck with the surgery!
TP-LINK AV200 Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit, up to 200Mbps (TL-PA2010KIT) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AWRUIY4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_1Wl4xbY38X6GQ
Might be worth a shot. One end goes right by your router and you plug it into your router. Other end goes by your PlayStation and you hardwire it.

I highly recommend it. I also STRONGLY recommend focusing massively on reducing your pack weight.
Buy this book. It'll make you a much happier hiker. It's the single best thing I've ever done for my happiness hiking.
If you guys have any questions while you're doing it let me know! If it's car camping....that's another thing entirely =) weight weight weight dranks dranks dranks steak steak steak
22-27" monitor with 1ms gtg and low input lag will blow away a TV any day. I run a 34" 100hz for my PC but a basic asus 24" gaming monitor for my xbox. This monitor is perfect for Xbox gaming. 1ms GTG and very low input lag on it. TV's are mostly double or even triple what a monitor is.

If anyone is looking for a new mobile game to play...my brother's startup company recently released their game Creature Quest so trying to garner some support for it. Made by John Van Caneghem, creator of classic RPG, Might and Magic. Give it a try and check out the sub for info /r/CreatureQuest. I can genuinely say it is quite fun and addicting. Thanks!
