Before anyone goes and changes their PSN ID. These are games which have critical issues with changing your PSN ID and they recommend not doing it just yet!
>Disc Jam™ (Critical Issues*) Everybody's Golf (Critical Issues) Just Dance 2017 (Critical Issues) LittleBigPlanet™ 3 (Critical Issues) MLB 14 The Show (Critical Issues) MLB The Show 16 (Critical Issues) MLB® The Show™ 15 (Critical Issues) ONRUSH (Critical Issues) The Golf Club 2™ (Critical Issues) Worms™ Battlegrounds (Critical Issues*)
You can lose in game currency, progress, and trophies. Plus other problems might arise.
Also I don’t see Spider-Man, or God of War.
Some important games (to me) that have identified issues are Uncharted 4, and the The Last of us Remastered.
I’m not willing to change just yet.
Sensationalist garbage. This link tells you what can ACTUALLY happen in these games. No, you won’t lose your DLC. What a load of fucking trash this article is. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/issues-identified/
Check out Playstation Vue. $35 a month (no contract) and it comes with FS1, FS2, BTN, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ect. It also has a unlimited cloud based DVR (it saves the shows for 1 month)
Subscribe to Sony Vue Get various Fox sports, NBC Sports, ESPN and other live sports channels including regional sports https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/
Subscribe to Sling tv. Get either ESPN or Fox sports. Get other live sports channels
Subscribe to the streaming service of the league of your choice.
Subscribe to fubo tv.
Get an antenna.
(Edit: no, one does not want both Sling and Vue at the same time...but all are alternatives....some may be better than others depending on the season).
Note that this is probably not an exhaustive list of all PS4 games. You can see the list of all the games they tested without problems (there's 364 of them) here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/no-known-tested-issues/
You can watch the show here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/playstation-video/emerging-filmmakers/the-many-lives-of-ayn-winters/
It's also on PlayStation Video, and will be available on Vue soon.
Honestly, the biggest advice I can give them is pretty cliche:
Take every opportunity you get. No matter how unlikely it seems that you'll make it, if someone is looking for scripts, send your work in.
Go above and beyond. Remember that the people you are pitching to are people. Give them something they don't expect, surprise them. During the pitch event, I wrote short stories from the perspective of the characters, and handed them out in waxed sealed envelopes. It was weird, but at least it was interesting.
Be a fan. A lot of pitching is describing your work to other people in a compelling way. The more pop culture you can draw on, the easier that will be.
Write more. Writing is really hard. Get as much practice as you can.
So much of this industry is about lucky breaks. For someone like me whose not in Hollywood, I just kept my eyes out for every contest/opportunity available and tried my hand.
The skill, if such a thing exists, is that once you get lucky enough to have someone look at your work -- make it count.
I really hope this helps.
> I was looking at vue, but don't have a ps4. So no multiscreen for me unfortunately.
Looking at the PS Vue FAQ (scroll way down to "How many devices can I stream PlayStation™Vue on at once?"), it looks like you can do one PS3, three of iOS/Android/web simultaneously, and no device-limit on FireTV/Apple TV/Roku. ...Within the 5 stream total limit, of course.
And yeah, if you want channels other than sports, sometimes cable makes more sense.
You're welcome.
Don't forget to see/check the list of games that currently do not support the PSN ID Change.
Check here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/games-list/
Surely being forced to only buy from Sony direct isn't bad!
Surely everyone here has downloaded from Sony before, isn't the experience just fantastic! pukes internally
Oh boy I can't wait till my hard drive DIES and I have to REDOWNLOAD all my games on my BRAND NEW Digital Sony™Playstation®
And surely Sony will have a decent, easy to use refund policy if the game I bought and downloaded ends up being absolute garbage, and totally won't be some sort of "Sony Wallet" refund or "Sony Coins" bullshit!
> Funds added to the wallet are non-refundable.
> You can cancel a digital content purchase within 14 days from the date of purchase and receive a refund, provided that you have not started downloading or streaming it.
WELL FUCK. Its alright though, Sony is fantastic
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/cancellation-policy/
You can't.
Per the ToS, you gave false information and that results in a permaban if they find out.

Open and shut since the troll said "you've been trolled" and probably did nothing to actually build a base after claiming it. If the troll hadn't announced what they were doing, it would have been a completely different matter and imo, no action could have been taken.
This may come off as super snarky, but have you tried their website?
The Channels tab lists all the packages they offer for your location and their prices. If the location displayed is incorrect, click the location symbol in the upper right corner and manually change it.
The FAQ pretty much answers any other question you may have, including how to subscribe, what you need to subscribe, what devices support PlayStation Vue, and how to set it up.
Sony Vue and Sling TV are available now.
Later this month DirectTV Now from AT&T is coming out. You get a free Apple TV if you sign up for 3 months or a fire stick if you sign up for 1. It will have 100+ channels for $35.
There are several others like VUDU planning their own offers next year.
Fuck Netflix.
I just used their help/chat to pass on the message that I will be canceling if they do not retract their statements. I suggest you do the same.
Also, clicking on that link will take you to our landing page where you can fill out a survey with your thoughts on the show but you can also navigate to the pages for the 4 other shows too.
> Only one PS4™ console and one PS3™ console can be used at a given time (i.e. you cannot stream PS Vue on two PS4 consoles or two PS3 consoles at any given time, but one PS4 system and one PS3 consoles can be used at the same time).
PSN ToS > You may not cause disruption to or modify or damage any Account, system, hardware, software, or network connected to or provided by PSN for any reason, including for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in a game.
Xbox Llive ToS > Don’t cheat or tamper. For example, don't: * Exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches
Steam also has something the same.
And you have to read the ToS of the systems before even creating an account so there is no excuse for them glitching in the first place.
PlayStation offers a TV option now called Vue, base package (~$29.99) gets you access NBCSN. And you can just log into NBCSN's website/app with your PlayStation account as if it were Comcast or RCN. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/
Congrats, I guess?
There are 210 TV markets in the US. Vue blocks DVR features on ABC for customers in 137 of those markets. I’m not going to bother counting NBC, CBS and Fox. This is not a minor inconvenience. Full lists here:
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/features/#dvr-restrictions
Only certain games were affected. Here is the official full list of games that are unaffected. Once on the page the tabs at the top will take you to lists that have known issues and such:

PSN just updated TOS on 10/3, the tldr; is the section added here: "You may not cause disruption to or modify or damage any Account, system, hardware, software, or network connected to or provided by PSN Services for any reason, including for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in a game. " I think they should insta kick laggers/"Really bad" connections from the match, it gives incentive to fix your crap instead of winning because of it. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/terms-of-service/

FWIW, a lot of cord-cutters I know seem to be pretty happy with Playstation Vue. Their $45/mo tier gets you all the broadcast channels, all the Turner stuff, the ESPNs, NBA TV, NFL, Fox Sports channels, NBC Sports channels, and a pretty broad suite of general cable entertainment channels. Usable on PC and through a billion TV-based devices, phones, etc.
There should be no issues for Madden at this time. Our teams have been testing M19; however, we will make sure to monitor feedback once PSN’s are able to change. My experience with Xbox Name changes is that there have not been issues with changing your name and retaining your information.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/
Hope this helps.
K
I'm actually ok with this. I just have a PS4 for exclusives, and at worst I lose Bloodborne which I got through PS+ and haven't touched yet.
Oh, and then there's my Vita. Somewhere.
Someone over on the Monster Hunter sub posted a link that lists which games are and aren't impacted by issue, which can be found here.
Also, clicking on that link will take you to our landing page where you can fill out a survey with your thoughts on the show but you can also navigate to the pages for the 4 other shows too.
From the sony video site "Disclaimer: Video content is temporarily unavailable for purchase or rental from PlayStation™Store’s web and mobile platforms. Videos purchased and rented from PlayStation™Store remain viewable on the web and PlayStation™Video app."
They warned you when you agreed to the terms of service when creating the account.
From the TOS:
You may not take any action, or upload, post, stream, or transmit any content, language, images or sounds in any forum, communication, public profile, or other publicly viewable areas or in the creation of any Online ID that SIE LLC or its affiliates find, in their sole discretion, offensive, hateful, or vulgar. This includes any content or communication that SIE LLC or its affiliates deem racially, ethnically, religiously or sexually offensive, libelous, defaming, threatening, bullying or akin to stalking.
You created a vulgar user ID. While they do have a filter in place to catch some names, it is nearly impossible to get them all. Sometimes it takes time to get noticed. You can contact them and ask about a name change. They are working on it and it seems to be announced sometime this year, ask if they can do it for you on a banned account and get it removed.

It saves to the "cloud". You don't have any options to save it locally to your own hardware. The only real limitation on their DVR is that it has a time limitation as to how long it keeps your shows, 28 days. There is no storage limit per say. There are a few channels you can't DVR as well. They have an FAQ that answers a lot of questions here
It looks like "no". On the PS Vue channels page, if I put in 32306 for Tallahassee, the only Fox Sports regionals I get are FS Florida and FS Sun.
Butttt, other people are reporting channels available via the channel apps (FS Go in this case) even when they don't show up on the official channel page on the web. If you're really interested, it may be worth your time to try the free trial and see whatcha get. (And if you do, please report back!)
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/#h114
HBO is not available for recording. However, you can watch shows/movies on demand or at HBO NOW (included).
* Realtime and John Oliver are the only shows that are available a day later
Check out PlayStation Vue (works on Playstations, Amazon Fire, Rokus, and Chromecast). It contains the regional Fox Sports channels, ESPN channels, and NFL Network. You can add the RedZone for $40/season. Prices start at $30/mo. I made the switch and couldn't be happier.
In addition to an antenna, consider PlayStation Vue: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/
I tried using Trenton, NJ and Newark NJ zip codes. It said the Vue Access package is currently on sale for $39.99. Local live channels in that area include Telemundo, ABC, Fox, CBS, and NBC. That package has over 60 channels. There is a $5 add on package of nine Spanish channels too. Vue has a twenty eight day virtual DVR feature included.
Edit: you will need a PlayStation, Fire TV, or a Roku box/stick to sign up.
Well it is in a way. It's a monthly thing just like Netflix (no contract or anything), and the cheapest bundle is only 30 a month and gets you a very nice selection of channels. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/#1 Has built in DVR and on demand as well which is nice.

PSVue has 4 main packages, Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra. Then you have stuff like the sports pack that can be added to Core and up. Typically for sports I recommend that people Core as it includes all the ESPN channels, and local regional sports networks.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels/
The service works on many different stream devices, you do not need a PlayStation.
The Core plan has most of the key sports channels including ESPN networks, MLB, NBA. It’s on sale now for $39.99 for the first two months. Offer valid until May 6th.
Full channel listening at https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels/?dl=core
To get this PS4 Theme all you have to do is watch the trailer on the PlayStation Vue website. After that you redeem the code on your account and the theme is yours. Unfortunately the promotion is only available for US accounts. Here's the link to the website
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/game-of-thrones/#dragon
I changed my name last night, no problems so far. PlayStation itself also said that Battlefront 2 has no known issues.
I just switched mine like 2 mins ago, all my BPs and auric cells are intact and my survs/ killers are all still the same level/ prestige.
DBD is on the list of games with "No Known Issues" concerning online ID change as well so you're probably safe to switch if you want to.
You can find here:
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/games-list/#t
Named "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
Yeah, the Vue listing of supported applications doesn't list Cinemax as included, though HBO and Showtime are. FAQS has the list of all apps you can sign in with:
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/features/#tve
That's what I thought too before, but I just read this:
" Whether or not you set your home device, you can stream on three devices out-of-home. "
They must have changed it?
If your concern is with an US account but you're not physically in that territory, it's problematic as you cannot contact their customer support chat from outside the US.
You'd have to call them: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/contact-us/
Vue is available nationwide. Access to local broadcast channels is dependent by location. Plug your zip code into the Website to see what channels you will receive.
To summarize and recap everything suggested:
Choice 1: Sling TV Orange ($20 per month) + Hollywood Extra addon package with four Epix channels (addon also includes Sundance and Turner Classic Movies btw). This live tv package would work if you or they would use the basic orange package was well. Sign up on Sling's website and use on your devices.
Choice 2: Sign up for EPIX and Showtime as a standalone channel through Vue. $13.99 per month. ($4 if you have lower Vue packages, included in top packages. FAQ. Available on your devices but sign up through Amazon.
Choice 3: Subscribe to Hulu. $8. Has the Epix library but may not always have full library. Subject to changes. Available on your devices. A good thing to trial first.
Choice 4: Subscribe to Amazon Prime $99 per year or to its monthly service if you don't want all year ($9) as it will be cheaper if you use $99 plan not twelve months. Has EPIX catalog but again might be subject to changes. Use your Fire TV and sign up on their website. Ideal starting point if you have Prime. Good backup if you don't want Sling tv or Vue all year. Downside is not on Apple TV.
Choice 5: buy episodes/seasons. This is problematic only because ITunes is not on Fire Tv and Amazon Prime is not on Apple TV. Look to see if Vudu is on both devices. Cost varies.
Buy a roku stick for $50 and then get Vue for $30/month it has dvr, but it is a tiny bit wonky. However you can use the tv everywhere apps to get better on demand of shows of course with like 2 minutes of commercials though. the subreedit is linked on the side, but here: /r/vue and here https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/. If you want on windows then you can just use the tv everywhere apps. Also vue should come to windows sometime otherwise they are losing out. Also for ota there are pcie cards you can put in that connect to an antenna and then there should be some dvr software.
Sony vue is a live streaming service. Unlike Sling tv, you can tell it record the future episodes of a show, it will do all upcoming episodes. Saves them for up to about 28 days. In some areas you get live local channels, in others, you can subscribe to slim packages that start at $29. You need either a PlayStation, Fire TV, or a Roku to sigup though other devices like chromecast are supported. You can cancel at any time. I believe you can do some FF and RW....not as extensive as the Hooper was (there are some new limits to Hopper due to lawsuits).Vue has on demand and a ton of logins for mobile apps.
When in doubt, always read the FAQ
What do I need to subscribe to PlayStation™Vue?
Subscribing to PlayStation™Vue is easy. You just need the following:
A supported, TV-connected device (PlayStation™4 console, PlayStation™3 console, Amazon Fire TV device, or Roku streaming device) with Internet access.
sign up here - https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/#4
Decide on which plan and follow the prompts from there. I believe plans start at 29.99 if your area does not support local channels and 39.99 if your area vue does support local channels
So your disagreement is with the policy, not with support.
It's the same for PSN: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/cancellation-policy/#subscriptions
and it's certainly the same for most (if not all) subscription services.
You really don't get it do you? Just because you spent over a thousand bucks on an account doesn't mean you automatically get a free pass to break the terms and conditions of the PlayStation Network.
It's clearly stated here:
> You may not sell, buy, trade, or transfer your Online ID, Account or any personal access to PSN Services through any means or method, including by use of web sites.
So I don't think Sony did anything unreasonable to ban your account. It clearly is a major violation, and you committed it. Maybe you should've read the terms and conditions first?
I just did it and nothing bad happened. Look through this and if nothing you play is listed in the critical one, you're good to go.
And if your favorite game is known to have issues, you can google "PSN name change x game" too see if it's anything to worry about. For example, Dark Souls 3 and GTA Online work just fine despite being listed
I did the name change & so far I’ve had no issues. Best check the list of games that will have issues with the name change. You can find that here. It will also list the issues that happens with certain games. But ¯_(ツ)_/¯ it is entirely up to you if you want to make the change.
Nothing has changed since the launch of PSN name change.
Here's the list of effected games. Which, also, hasn't changed since launch.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/issues-identified/
These are the games with issues even though someone of them I’ve got and had no issues.
And games that have been released after the name change came in should be fine.
Thanks to a recent policy update, you can cancel pre-orders, with a full refund going back into your PSN Account wallet.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/cancellation-policy/#preorders
Read this and if any of your games are listed you google "name of game here PSN name change" and see what people have experienced with said game
I don't particularly care what ESL says, I don't have anything to do with them.
I don't use Twitter and I can't find anything like what you are describing at all. When I look at the Terms of Service and the Code of Conduct, they don't disallow the use of these devices.
It seems to me that it is allowed and since it doesn't break any rules, it can't be cheating.
Code of Conduct: https://rainbow6.ubisoft.com/siege/en-us/news/152-326395-16/rainbow-six-siege-code-of-conduct

Before I changed my ID,v I used this page on playstation's website to identify any games I might have problems with.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/critical-issues/
Luckily there are very few games with critical issues
Curious to hear about this as well. The PSN website has listed Titanfall 2 as a game with issues identified.
Anyone changed their PSN username and noticed any issues within titanfall?
It works perfectly fine with for honor, however there is other games it can affect. You can find a list of games that has issues with it here.
PlayStation put out a list of games and if there were issues with the name change and good news! Dead by Daylight is in the No Known Issues list.
Here's an official list of games that apparently don't have any issues: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/no-known-tested-issues/ but I've also read that games published after April 1st 2018 won't be affected, too.
I'd go with a free trial on a service where it streams in 60 fps. Watching sports in 30 fps sucks. I'm pretty sure Playstation Vue streams in 60 fps Link
Do a trial of PSVue with sport pack add-on if you don't want to leave your house.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/channels/
Sports Pack: To add on Sports Pack, you must have a Core, Elite, or Ultra subscription. Channels include: Eleven Sports ESPN Bases Loaded (Fri, Sat, Sun 1PM-11PM ET late May – early June) ESPN Goal Line (Saturdays 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM ET late Aug – late Nov) Note: The channels ESPN Bases Loaded and ESPN Goal Line switch seasonally, such that each will only appear in the guide during their respective active programming season. ESPN Classic (On Demand channel) FOX College Atlantic FOX College Central FOX College Pacific Longhorn Network MLB Network Strike Zone (Tue & Fri prime time ET during the regular MLB season) NBCUniversal
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels/
Just need to click on the location icon at the top and put in your zip code. Then if you want to see a sample guide click on Live Now at the top.
Yup. The sports package is a separate add-on, so you can pay the extra money during the relevant seasons to make sure you get all the games.
I'm not as familiar with the channel the Spurs get broadcast on locally, so I'm not sure if Vue carries that channel. Check the full list of channels here.
Yeah, you can watch it on PlayStation by going to the Latest TV category in the What’s Hot section of the PlayStation Store. Or by going to this link.
It’s free through the PlayStation Store but it’s also available on PlayStation Vue on Demand, if you’re already subscribed.
If you look at the Latest TV category in the What’s Hot section of the store you’ll see a link to the PlayStation Emerging Filmmakers Program and you’ll find all the shows in there.
You can also watch it online through this link.
EDIT - seems to be certain ones that are not available for DVR. My locals are listed as being restricted, although it let me set me to DVR shows off of them. Guess I'll find out if it actually DVRs them or not........
For Playstation Vue, you can go here and see what all channels including locals you would get. Its best just to do some free trials though to see which service fits best.

They added a preview of the guide to the website, this is super helpful for people shopping: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/live-now/
I was with vue back when it was locked down as well... here is the current info about 'mobility':
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/features/#away-from-home
>While you’re traveling, you’ll be able to watch the available local programming for that location. You will not be able to DVR the local programming in the place you are visiting. Your DVR will still record your home local channels, and you’ll be able to watch that DVR programming while you are traveling.
>While you’re traveling, you’ll be able to watch your local regional sports networks. However, if you’ve never signed into PlayStation™Vue from your home area, you won’t be able to watch your local regional sports networks until you sign into PlayStation™Vue from the zip code you used when you subscribed.
>NHL games are not available to watch when you are away from home.
>If you subscribe to PlayStation™Vue away from home, you must return to your home area within the first 30 days of your subscription.
>After you’ve signed into PlayStation™Vue from your home area once within the first 30 days of your subscription, you can watch PlayStation™Vue from any location for 60 consecutive days before you must check in again from your home area.
>If you are outside your home area for longer than the timeframes mentioned above, you may receive certain error messages regarding unavailability of PlayStation™Vue or interruption of service. These can usually be resolved by signing into PlayStation™Vue from your home zip code.
The terms of use you agreed to when you created your PSN account repeatedly states that (1) they don't guarantee 100% uptime, and (2) if the service is unavailable, then they owe you nothing.
Is this true? I have used chromecast and it works. Maybe it's like the OP said and it's just DVR shows that won't play? or maybe specific shows/channels.
I'll check it out later on my TV with chromecast. I have a family member who uses that TV to stream PS Vue and Netflix, and they have not mentioned any problems streaming.
It also shows as a supported device on this page :
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/supported-devices-and-set-up/#supported-devices
I haven't ever seen the AirPlay icon though. I tried it just now on my TV with AppleTV and I don't get airplay icon when using iPad.
You don't need Google. Just go to each individual service's website and look it up.
For DTVN, it would be http://cdn.directv.com/content/dam/dtv/gmott/html/compare-packages-account.html
For PSVue, it's https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels
It’s only a problem with CBS locals in some markets. Sony had to forgo DVR rights to get these locals on the service.
The list of CBS locals that do not have DVR support is listed on their website here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/features/#dvr-restrictions
You don't need a playstation to use PSVue. Go check out their website and then find a device that can stream it. Roku is a cheap streaming device and it has a PSVue app on it. probably 30 bucks or so and the membership is 30 a month for the duration of college football so all in all around 180 bucks spent.
looked it up: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/supported-devices-and-set-up/
You can even watch on the web so as long as you have a computer, you're good.
CSN is not the local regional sports network for South Carolina. I believe it is Fox Sports South and Fox Sports SE (formerly SportSouth).
Go here to see channel lineups :https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels/. Make sure your location is set correctly in the upper right.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/terms-of-service/
>Except as stated in this agreement, all content and software provided through PSN Services are licensed non-exclusively and revocably to you, your children and children for whom you are a legal guardian solely for your personal, private, non-transferable, non-commercial, limited use on a limited number of Authorized Devices in the country in which your Account is registered.
I think you have to look further down at the actual list of channels offered for your location. That is a generic image I'm afraid, for I saw the same thing for the Houston market but CBS isn't actually listed.
edit: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels/ is where you need to look, making sure the location is correct.
Yeah, the antenna is gonna be better quality than any stream or cable or satellite feed (because they all re-compress what they get from the network).
But if you're having trouble streaming a single stream on Sling on a 200 Mbps connection, there's something wonky going on with your network or ISP. I have a 50 Mbps connection and I stream 3 720-1080 30 fps streams at once, no problem.
> How much internet bandwidth do I need for PlayStation™Vue?
>10mbps or higher is recommended for the best experience, plus 5mbps for each additional stream.
Most if not all the streaming services have a lookup tool that'll tell you what regional sports networks you qualify for based off of your zip code.
Here is SlingTV's: http://help.sling.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/How-do-the-FOX-Regional-Sports-Networks-work
Here is DirecTV Now's: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/packProg/attLocalChannels.jsp?assetId=att_cms_local_channels&_requestid=2711973
Vue: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/ (click on each package to see what channels)
It's important to note some regional sports networks may be in a higher tiered package.
Also, if you're ever not sure, you can always trial and cancel before it expires.
Good luck!
Yes. If you need 9 months then you most likely are not watching the show. Vue has more channels and is cheaper depending on the plan. Here is the link https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/channels/
Stream up to 5 simultaneously on supported devices
No, you can only stream from your home after you set your IP address. Sharing your login may result in Vue cutting your service off.
if you get a cheap PlayStation Vue tv plan that includes FXX, you can then log into the FXNOW app to watch this!
its cheaper than cable, but more than 10 bucks a month. Hopefully this would work for some of you.

Not a Canada option yet, but this post/sub may help https://www.reddit.com/r/canadacordcutters/comments/4ajmk1/anyone_accessing_playstation_vue_from_canada/
The only thing I could find is by using the 'Contact Us' info at the bottom of the Vue Faq https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/ Seems to be support links and not specifically feedback. Having once been tech support for a major company I know that if they get enough feedback over the phone, they will tell their bosses who take things up the chain.
Take a look at https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/
Assuming you are in the Detroit market, the $35 month plan gets you Fox Sports Detroit, NBCSN, and all the ESPN's. 70+ channels overall.
I would recommend Vue. Since they are in Chicago (one of the original launch cities) local channels are included. Vue basic plan with over 60 channels would be $40. Have them think about what shows they watch and what networks they are on. This will help in determining what plan to choose.
Vue does have a 7 day free trial. One thing they could do is to use it on the highest package Elite and see what channels they could do without.
One downside though is that the cloud DVR is limited to a 28 day viewing window after air date. Depending on what network and show, after those 28 days, the episode could be available as On Demand or Catch Up. These would have limited viewing options (i.e. no fast forward).
As far as a recommended device to use, I would have them go with an Amazon Fire TV (box, not stick). Getting past Amazon's tendency to bombard you with their content on the home screen, it will give a stable, full experience of Vue (even with the familiar guide). They can also access Netflix, YouTube, and many other streaming apps.
Also, unless the gigabit deal is just too good to pass up, you can have them drop to just basic Comcast internet. Each concurrent stream only requires around 5mb. I pay $20 for the Perfomance 10mbps and can run Vue of 3 devices at a time with no problem. Might have to call to force them to tell you what deals are in your area. Have them get their own modem and router to avoid the equipment rental fee.
With a combination of an internet only cable package and Vue's basic plan, you could easily cut their bill by over half.

The cheapest will probably be through the playstation vue service. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/#1 The 29.99 access slim plan with 55 channels gives you NBC Sports Network (and you can use the NBC Sports Extra online streaming.)
Or join the Henno appreciation society and check the streaming threads here.

Playstation Vue might be a possibility. They offer Fox Sports North on one of the upgraded packages. Not sure how it works but worth investigating.
This seems like a good idea, but I think he'd probably run into a black out because of being in the viewing area, right? Another option would be to get Playstation Vue tho. Its base package is $30/month, and you can watch the YES network through it. Would need pretty good Internet for that too. It may not be what you're looking for, but it's an option.
I'm near NYC and its more expensive. Source
Access (60+ Channels)- $39.99
Core (75+ Channels) - $44.99
Elite (100+ Channels) -$54.99

Perhaps you didn’t read anything about the headsets since I got my facts from Oculus and Sony themselves https://securecdn.oculus.com/sr/oculusquest-warning-english https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/health-warnings/
I've done it recently, haven't noticed any changes to my save file or game. There's a list on the Sony website listing all games that aren't affected by the PSN ID change - https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/onlineid/games-list-home/.
Although I still felt anxious doing it haha.
I changed mine it didn't ruin my Fortnite account, but I haven't checked any other games. Here is the link to the games.
