What channels will I lose if the deal with NBCUniversal expires?
-Local NBC Station
Honestly, I'm surprised that NBC can pull its local channel, but I guess if I can get it with antenna, they can pull it. I rarely watch NBC, but during the Olympics, it was cool to have all those channels with Olympics content.
Watch this space: https://tv.youtube.com/learn/update/
> “We don’t have an update on the negotiations with NBC, but as of now there is no change to your available networks. As soon as we have any updates, we'll let you know.”
That was posted just before midnight ET.
Go to https://tv.youtube.com/ in a browser, select Home at the top if not already selected and then remove any shows on top row that you're not interested in.
The goal is to clear away crap so that any series you're watching appears. Having your series appear in Home helps because selecting it from Home takes you to the next episode based on where you left off.
Youtube is available now: https://www.amazon.com/Google-LLC-YouTube/dp/B07T771SPH/
Btw, I'm not sure why it is going to take months for YTTV to be available. It seems strange they are moving so slow.
DVR is also processed twice. The first pass is for LIVE, and is designed for minimal delay. The 2nd pass is for DVR, and takes several hours, but will be higher quality (deeper, non-realtime) encoding. You may also find recordings where a poor LIVE recording (due technical issues) is replaced a few hours later by a second-sourced version (eg VOD).
If you see content that is playing at 1080p but looks like 720p or less, let us know what station and time and timezone and we'll recheck the quality. Please do verify that your player is playing 1080p; the player will step down to 720p or less when network conditions warrant it. You can check the current rate in the desktop browser version of tv.youtube.com by clicking on the gear icon under the video; there is a quality setting that will show the current resolution.
Both NFL and Red Zone as well as Stadium, GOL TV, MAVTV and others are showing up on the YTTV Networks list: https://tv.youtube.com/directory/networks
Just a matter of time before the official announcement is made.
you can just navigate through https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/ to see what channels and additional networks are supported. They keep trying to increase the bundle so you should always stay tuned :)
Premier league US broadcast rights are owned by NBC. YTTV gives you NBC and NBCSN channels but it is up to NBC to decide what gets shown on those channels. NBC sells a add on streaming package they call "Gold" which lets you stream all EPL games that aren't shown on the two TV channels.
https://www.nbcsports.com/gold/premier-league
I'm not sure the broadcast rights situation for other leagues but there may be a similar solution.
Edit: looks like la liga broadcast rights are owned by Bein sports network which YTTV does not carry. You can get it through sling TV's standalone international sports package for $10/mo if that's important to you:
When subscribed, Acorn TV content should be available within the YTTV interface, either through the Acorn TV icon in the list at the very bottom of the home screen or through search. On web, the content is here: https://tv.youtube.com/browse/UCYMXb8TyQKIvPUi3M_I5rgQ?btab=3. You shouldn't need to go to Acorn's app or website, and your YTTV credentials won't work there.
Nobody knows. You can submit a request for it here, but no guarantee they do anything.
https://support.google.com/youtubetv/contact/new_network_request
In the mean time, the Sing international sports pack for $10/mo is a decent value.
Sometimes you can find a 7 day or 14 day trial. But right now, they have a offer after your trial for $14.99 for your first month. That's $50 off and well worth the price and should give you more than enough time to try it with minimum funds.
Congrats, I guess?
There are 210 TV markets in the US. Vue blocks DVR features on ABC for customers in 137 of those markets. I’m not going to bother counting NBC, CBS and Fox. This is not a minor inconvenience. Full lists here:
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/faq/features/#dvr-restrictions
No broadcast channels (other than a few NBC and Fox owned and operated ones) is a no go for me. If there's just a few cable channels you care about it might be worth it.
I had it for a month for some live cricket, and it was pretty buggy. Cut into a live match with 10 minutes of Home Improvement, no joking. But I mostly watched on PC and that was a few years ago.
The available channel line-up depends on the area, but most areas have both Fox News and their local Fox affiliate. You can check your area's channel line-up here. Simply scroll down to type in your zip code.
If you use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (the new one, based on Chrome) as your web browser then when you go to https://tv.youtube.com you'll notice at the right end of the address bar an option to "install (app name)". The icon looks like 3 blocks and a + sign.
This will install the YouTube TV app in Windows. It's nice because then you can launch it like any other Windows 10 app from the start menu and it will open in a Chrome/Edge window by itself without the address bar, etc. I use this for YouTube, YouTube TV, YouTube Music, Sirius XM, The Roku Channel and Pocket Casts.
Right, if no episode is scheduled to air in the next 2 weeks, and no episodes are posted as VODs by the network, then the show is "unavailable" when you search. But YTTV still has all these shows in their database and if you search "showname Youtube TV" in google, you can find their direct URL and add the show to your library anyway.
For example, atlanta:
https://tv.youtube.com/browse/atlanta-UCgIE21O-EIEUMYIXe3VhTrw
The channel list is here, scroll down:
https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/
ACC Network is simply not included. It never has been. It's clearly not on this list.
It's made clear what channels are and are not included. There are a lot of channels that are not included, not sure why that's "fucking bull shit" that's just the lineup.
Game changer for the remote
[3 Pack] Remote Case for Chromecast 2020 with Google TV Voice Remote, Shockproof Silicone Protective Cover Holder Sleeve for Google Voice Remote-Red, Glow Blue and Glow Green https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RNW9HG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_TMYVENEJRF3ZZ76W798J?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It won’t work abroad unless you use a GPS spoofer or a VPN. Using these things seem to be a bit frowned upon, and YTTV team members won’t advise to do that or how to set it up because of copyright issues.
I for one usually pay for ExpressVPN when I travel aboard to keep watching Netflix and Amazon, and I intend to use it next month when again and see how it works with YTTV.
Use this app to check your widevine security level. If it isn't L1, then many paid* video streaming apps (netflix, amazon prime, youtube tv, etc) won't let you play HD, only 480p.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo&hl=en_US
NBC is only available to stream on Sling in limited cities (11 cities), mostly in the North, not Georgia where I live (and Sling even recommends Peacock). YouTube TV is cutting their price, and I don't see what's wrong with getting Peacock for $5 if people want it, and saving $5 overall in the long run, or in my case $10 because I don't need NBC.
Do you alreay have a YouTube TV account? If not start one on another device then go to
tv.youtube.com/start and enter the code generated by the YouTube TV app on the AppleTV.
You can not create an account on the AppleTV.
Use the feature on a desktop to edit the guide (login to tv.youtube.com on a desktop using Chrome browser). You can eliminate stations you never watch and reorder the ones you watch regularly, to always be at the top of the Guide.
Another thing I recommend is to record everything that you are likely to want to watch. Then the programs are available whenever you want to watch. I rarely watch live TV, and haven't since I had my first DVR.
The actual webpage you go to to watch YTTV is https://tv.youtube.com/ so it's not redirecting you - it's the website. It's a separate product, sort of, but it's the same platform and accounts, logins etc. are shared between them.
I would just have them remove you from their family share, sign up for a different youtube account and have them re-add you - or go through their support and attempt to get your current account issue resolved. There is no other way to watch and I'm honestly surprised the system let you watch through the app if it won't through their website. Might be some sort of bug they would be interested in knowing about one way or the other. Guess it would depend on if your account was disabled by yourself or due to a TOS breech.
Download the DRM Info android app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo
Check what it says for the Widevine security level. L1 security (the highest) is required for HD streaming in most DRM protected android apps including YTTV. If yours is showing L3 level, then that's why you can only get 480p.
As for why a device would be limited to L3, common causes are rooting/flashing custom roms, or bugs from the manufacturer. If you haven't done anything custom and are showing L3, reach out to Oneplus support to troubleshoot.
A speed test works by downloading a fixed size file and calculating the transfer time to show the bandwidth.
Which is why I was asking for a speed test to machines on googles edge so that I can get a Point of Presence to Point of Presence. Which is what fast.com does. So basically the answer is No google doesn't do this.
You can cancel your Verizon-billed subscription, and you'll have access until your current billing period ends. You can sign up for Google billing whenever you're ready through tv.youtube.com. As long as you sign back up with the same email address within 21 days of losing access, all of your DVR & preferences should still be there.
Hey, can you do me some favors to help root cause this?
I'm looking at for example the 6/8 7:30pm Jeopardy and can't immediately reproduce it.
Can you post pictures of the library and a couple of the DVRs playing with stats-for-nerds turned on? Thanks.
If folks could chime in with what devices they're seeing this on, that might help.
If someone can reproduce this on their TV, and they can also log in on a web browser on a computer to tv.youtube.com, does it happen there too? Take a picture with stats-for-nerds if it does.
You can post anonymous pic via imgur.com. Stats-for-nerds is one of items you can turn on the from settings icons under the playing video; it shares which airing you're watching (the youtube url) which helps us look it up.
Thanks. --ed
https://tv.youtube.com/ On safari and you can pause/cancel and manage your subscription just fine. Click your icon in the right corner and go to settings. It’s very easy to manage your account on safari.
La Liga is on BeIn sports which is not available on YTTV.
There are a few ways to get it on other platforms if it is the only channel you are missing.
Sling World Sports has the channel for $10 a month or $60 a year
Fanatiz has BeIn sports and is $7.99 a month I believe. They also have channels for a large amount of South American leagues as well, though most commentary on those are in Spanish.
When setting something like this up in the future, you may want to use something like Privacy.com That way you can make a card specifically for that YTTV account and just close the card when you want to cancel. This way you don't have to worry about changing your card. But if you follow the link provided buy TeamYouTube or go to the settings in your YouTube app and look for support chat there, I'm sure they will help you out, they have always been great for me.
YouTube TV just has a single tier plan. Vue has four tiers, with more channels being added the higher you go.
Both services offer channels from different networks/companies and probably negotiated different deals for those (given things like concurrent streams, DVR limitations, etc), and then there's of course how much of a profit margin they want. Google was apparently losing money with the lower prices of YouTube TV, feeling it was worth it to get more subscribers and then raise the prices later.
Vue is like YTTV, Sling, DTVN, all the rest. It's an OTT service and you DON'T have to watch it from your Playstation...works on Roku, AppleTV, FireTV, etc.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/?modal=devices&emcid=se-pi-148139
RedZone is one of the options. You can get SlingTV and one of the base packages has NFL network and then the Sports add-on for $5 gets you RedZone, NHL network, Stadium, etc. So for $30 or so you can have NFL, RedZone, NHL. I hope YTTV adds NFL and NHL networks and I'm fine if RedZone is $5 or something.
Here's the link if you want to add it to your library directly:
https://tv.youtube.com/browse/UC6BRtN5gVfiOLrdiEz9fjOg
It doesn't show up in search because there's no upcoming episodes in the next two weeks. But if you add it via the above link, it'll start recording when they return from the hiatus.
You can't subscribe to YTTV through Amazon. Sounds like you may be trying to access networks through the Amazon channels service or individual streaming apps. You have to go to tv.youtube.com to sign up for the free trial with a google account then download the app and you watch it all through there.
go to tv.youtube.com and drop the menu down in the top right corner. Choose settings, then select "Live Guide". From there you can move channels up and down, use the menu for the channel to jump it to the top or bottom, and toggle the channels you don't want to see off of the guide.
I can get my Firestick remote to launch YouTube TV with my voice, but I can't get it to tune into a specific channel. Also, I tried launching YouTube TV with my Echo Dot and it was like, "No can do there, buddy. Me no understand that one." (or something along those lines). But I can get my Echo Dot to turn on my TV and change the volume. It just seems like the Alexa thing works when it wants to. Some devices work better than others.
As for the Gapps thing, looks like you're gonna just have to bite the bullet and create Gmail accounts for everyone that you want to share your YouTube TV with. Your only other option is to have them open the YouTube TV app on their device and click "Sign In", then have them tell you the code on the screen, then you go to the link that it tells you to go to (I believe it's tv.youtube.com/start or something like that), type in the code from your family member's device, then log into your Gmail/YouTube TV account and it will activate that device on your account. That way, you don't have to give them any passwords and they don't have to create a Gmail account. You would have to do this for every device they want to be able to stream on though. And those devices would count toward your maximum 3 devices streaming at once.
Newer Rokus, Apple TVs, Fire TV products, and Chromecasts should all be able to stream at 1080p with a good connection. You can check out our full list of supported devices here: https://tv.youtube.com/learn/devices/
The older F1 races recording are still there (if it doesn't expired from the 9-months rule yet) but could not directly accessible from YTTV apps on a TV devices platform. You are correct to mentioned that on the recent tab of F1 league, it will show only the previous races in 3-weeks timespan. (at this moment, it is down the way to French GP 2019)
However, if you use YTTV app on your mobile devices or using it via https://tv.youtube.com, you will able to access another tab; Schedule. In this tab, it will list every F1 races in the past (start from the day you added F1 into your library and that races recording is still not yet expire) and upcoming schedule for the future races. Mine is showing all the way to Abu Dhabi GP 2018.
Hope this help for the fellow F1 fan. And for christ sake, what was happened with Sebastian Vettel at British GP? I was really mad at it.
Certainly not intentional, or shady.
I'll concede it might be a bug though :) We'll look into it. Generally tv.youtube.com isn't accessible via an mweb browser, so I'm not able to repro this. On the mobile apps, the built in cancellation flow works fine, as does the desktop web flow.
The trick is to just google it. If you search "site:tv.youtube.com SHOWNAME", one of the first results should be "Watch SHOWNAME online | YouTube TV (Free Trial)" with a "https://tv.youtube.com/browse/something" URL. This method works for pretty much any show that exists in the YTTV database, even if it doesn't show up in the YTTV search due to no upcoming episodes.
https://tv.youtube.com/browse/UCES0gyTAsZyRpVDcLNz8OBw
Here's the direct link, you can add to your library on that page. If a show does not have any episodes (new or rerun) airing in the next 2 weeks, and has no episodes currently available on demand, then it won't appear in search results.
Happy to help:
Yes it is implied that any Smart TV will have built-in Wi-Fi. It may or may not also have an ethernet port.
A Smart TV may or may not have a YouTube TV app. It is different from the standard "YouTube" app, which I suspect nearly every Smart TV has. A brief look at this page suggests that a Phillips Smart TV does NOT support YouTube TV
If you use a non-smart TV (or indeed a "Smart" TV that doesn't have the app you want) then yes, a Roku is a great solution to be able to use YouTube TV. Any Roku you find will have built-in Wi-Fi. A few also have ethernet ports, but not many.
Hope that helps!
I've found the fastest way to get help is using their Live Chat. I've used it a couple times including just last week and I've had somebody online helping me within moments. If you are signed into https://tv.youtube.com/ then just hit the ? (Help Menu) in the top right corner and choose Live Chat.
https://rogueamoeba.com/audiohijack/
I've used this a ton in the past. I vaguely recall them saying that recent osx/macOS updates crippled it (sandboxing or something similar), but it's still available. I'm assuming it works again. Maybe they just had to reengineer it.
It always worked really well for me. Just haven't needed it in a few years.
My wife and I had Tivo DVR setup with a fairly standard cable package and we had it for years upon years and every year I had to fight with them to re-lower my bill back to normal levels instead of constantly increasing it every year and giving me nothing in return. Wife and I watch a ton of TV so we decided to make the movie and ended up getting YTTV and Philo and we added Hulu recently just for the extra goodies but between YTTV and Philo we got every show we previously had except for one local channel.
The benefit was being able to have a DVR system that was light years ahead of Tivo ... we were always in a rush to watch shows every week to clear up recordings cause we had limited room and now our YTTV has probably 10-12 DVR's of our old size worth of TV we want to watch and we have NINE MONTHS to watch any of it which is awesome. On top of it if 2 months ago I recorded say Captain America and a new viewing of it comes on, it records that also for me so some of your favorite shows/movies you could probably keep indefinitely.
We have a 500 meg internet and we ordered 2 Roku's that we HDMI'd into our tv's and our internet provider is pretty bad ass... at any given time day or night if we do fast.com we always get more than 500 megs download and for the past 2 months we haven't had one buffer or glitch unless it was on their end. Lastly... the price along. We were originally paying about 160 a month and between our Internet, YTTV, Philo and Hulu we are paying $110 a month (we had to up our internet speed) but we don't have to pay any lease now for Tivo and we only get charged Internet tax instead of what we originally had which was a clump of 5-6 taxes.
Best decision we've ever made.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo
This app checks your device's DRM licenses. In order to play HD video in most (paid) apps, you're required to have the Widevine L1 level security. If your device is showing Widevine L3, then it will not play HD video in DRMed apps. Most phones should be on L1 out of the box, but if you root or flash custom software, it may cause it to lower to L3. Some cheaper phones from Chinese companies don't bother with L1 licensing. And recently there's been a bug on Pixel phones that caused it to drop to L3.
I think what you are talking about Is a device that can play one stream to multiple displays. They are relatively cheap and on Amazon.
It's called an HDMI switch,, hook up your streaming device to none port and displays to the other to send the same signal.

Here is the Google Play link to the one I use. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer&hl=en_US
Should be available in the Play Store.
I just checked the developer console and the Jetstream AGT418 is listed as a compatible device.
I have a Bravia TV as well, but the store says it is incompatible with my TV. Is this the app from the Google Play store you installed? [link]
I was able to get it working by installing Fake GPS location and activating developer mode on the box, which will allow setting the app as your location service.
It actually works by location services - VPN will have no effect (at least it doesn't for me). I have been using this app, and it works great.
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.incorporateapps.fakegps.fre
This works on Chrome desktop: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/location-guard/cfohepagpmnodfdmjliccbbigdkfcgia
To clarify for other readers, Live Channels is Google's new built-in app in official Android TV boxes (Mi Box, Nvidia Shield, and televisions with Android TV built-in), that can combine multiple video sources into a single guide/interface.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tv&hl=en
Each streaming video app developer decides for themselves whether to make their content accessible from Live Channels.
The "Fire TV Stick 4k Max" is currently available for only $35 if you want to give it a try. You can also trade in the old one to get a discount.

Sideloading the official apk worked for me
Use this guide to sideload the YouTube tv apk https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.howtogeek.com/336602/how-to-sideload-apps-on-the-fire-tv-and-fire-tv-stick/amp/
Here is the apk
This method worked better than all those other 3rd party apps which just didn't perform well
$25 right now. You’re welcome.
PS - Also delivers HDR10+ which is important since you own a Samsung TV.
That is the way I typically do it. In addition to the Stick, power adapter/cable, and remote (always pack it with the batteries removed) I also carry along a HDMI cable and a female-to-female HDMI connector. Trying to “cast” just introduces problems.
yup, it's been going on for over a week now on my FireTV products ... It is about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes off from my experience. I've contacted YTTV a couple of times, and have to talked to a couple of different CS reps ... they both have told me my concerns and feedback data has been shared with YTTV engineers. As of yet, no word back. It is NOT an internet issue, as my speeds are fine. https://www.speedtest.net/result/10245830770
It does seem to be happening mostly on 'live broadcasts' like news, sports, etc ... it also seems that 1-2 days later, many of these same library files are fine.
I'm also having an issue only on my FireTV Cube where it is dropping frames on 60FPS and eventually drops to 30FPS ... Again, I believe it is on these 'live broadcasts' . It is not the device, as this does not happen with 60FPS files in YT. Has anyone else had a similar occurrence ?
Thanks, Steve
Works fine on my A90J. Are you using a USB ethernet adapter for fastest wired internet? Not 100% sure about the A80J but on mine the built-in lan is only 100Mbps. With USB ethernet I get up to 1Gbps depending on your ISP speed, mine tests at 470Mbps. Worth a try if your ISP is faster than 100.
I read a book called Captive Audience that talked about why telecom companies push sports so hard. The author said sports are like a "battering ram" for TV programming. You want it live, it makes the user want to engage right then, and not DVR and catch it later. They know that people with their sports teams have an almost religious devotion.
If they can tap into that loyalty and they are the method that you get that fix, then you become a unflinching subscriber. At the time of the book I don't recall if they called out new, but I would assume that Fox, MSNBC, and CNN fall in a similar pattern, only those are not subject to network blackouts and exclusive broadcast rights.
TL:DR - Sports programming is here to stay, the networks know its how you keep people paying up each month.
There are app-enabled IR blasters that will allow this, with the added advantage of being able to control any device with IR remote.
https://www.amazon.com/MOES-Controller-Infrared-Universal-Compatible/dp/B07QH1X7PX
(I have no particular experience or knowledge of this brand/app so don't take this as a hard recommendation, though it seems cheap enough to take a flyer on).
I would combine it with a webcam for visual confirmation/feedback.
Since I bought this one (without USB port) and my settings say Ethernet connected, I say you're the one that is wrong.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1X28F1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just use a Raspberry Pi 4 for streaming in the living room.
It also does wifi and bluetooth, as well as having a GB ethernet port.
It also uses Micro HDMI, and a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable is less than $10.
A basic one is about $35 US.
Put Windows or Linux on it and use whatever browser you prefer for streaming. Just get a cheap bluetooth/wireless keyboard and mouse, or one of those little bluetooth remote keyboard and touchpad combos.
You can also setup a modern gamepad [Switch, PS4/PS5, Newer Xbox gamepads] for desktop use using Steam, you don't need games installed, just Steam itself to handle running the gamepad.
I do recommend having a wireless keyboard regardless, it makes searching or web browsing easier. A wired one works too if you don't mind the cable.
If all you're doing with it is streaming, a Raspberry Pi is more than sufficient and you can do more with it. It's a tiny PC. Not great for gaming or anything, but you can browse the web and run emulators on it or something as well.
Setting it up does take a little more effort, but it's superior to any little streaming dongle or device and will work with any streaming service that you can access with a web browser or PC app.
Rather than picking up a new TV, a cheap streamer stick might be worth a try. Either a Chromecast (currently on sale for $40), or a Fire TV stick 4K for $30 would be cheap ways to bypass the slower Sony processing and hopefully improve the experience.
The Amazon Recast is an option to consider:
Simple setup requiring just the Recast, an antenna, your local network, and Amazon viewing devices (e.g., fire stick, Echo, Cube) There are some limitations such as: 1. Viewing resolution is 1440x720p regardless of source resolution. 2. No more than 2 viewing devices at one time.
Check out the Amazon description for more details
I use Unlocator vpn with . If your using a chromecast download the Unlocator app and app. Start unlocator and use the New York server then start the app. I live in central Illinois I was switching between the cub and cardinals game this afternoon no issues. Unlocator is half off right now use mlb2022 in the coupon line.
Very cool. I'm mostly running YTTV from my CCwGTV, which makes it all wireless, and have been able to get top notch streaming quality. However, I also have EoC for wired backhaul on a mesh network.
In my case, i don't have cable TV (assuming you don't either, if you have YTTV) and therefore don't need the split Ethernet/cable capabilities that MoCA offers. So, i use a G.hn powerline EoC kit and it works perfectly to pass Internet over the RG6 in my house. I'm using these comtrend units and have had no problems whatsoever. I've only got a 400Mbps connection from my provider but can still get speeds over 330mbps with some mid-grade Asus Wifi6 meshes routers multiple rooms and brick walls away from my modem. :)
Did you go with MoCA because you're running cable in the house as well?
Here's an app that can check your Widevine level: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo
If you see there that you're at L3, like me, that is why you are limited. How to fix it is the mystery.
Not sure if I did it correctly but here you are.

When I went to tv.youtube.com on a browser, it offered to install a Window's app; I thought it was from the MS store.... It is now a desktop app that shows in Windows settings as an installed app, and I pinned it on the taskbar.
Have they gone into Settings area within YTTV (on the stick) that lists Home area? I don't have it up at the moment, but there is an option there to verify your location (the text isn't obvious if you're quickly clicking around). You will need to logon to something like tv.youtube.com/verify on your phone/laptop (from Boston of course) while that screen/setting it up. The stick setting should then get the word that you're in Boston.
I may not be describing that accurately as I don't have it up at the moment, but I recently had to go through this as well.
Yeah but they won't be fuzzy!
Sling Blue does have Fox and NBC O&O stations, so some areas have them.
You can always try some high speed HDMI cables and see if they help. I just got these from Amazon. cables
Real Madrid is on BeIn which is not carried by Youtube TV. You can get it fairly cheaply by either subscribing to Sling World Sports package for $10 a month or $60 a year. Fanatiz also carries BeIn for $7.99 a month or $79 a year.
Not exactly. When you load up the YouTube TV home page, at tv.youtube.com , you will see live thumbnails of three or four live stations. Those live thumbnails DO NOT count. However if you select one of those live stations, or one of your DVR recordings, to watch, a new window opens dedicated solely to that one source. And that stream DOES count. That's the distinction.
Are you sure? I thought I didn't have them back either. But then I went into the web portal and pulled up my live guide edit page at https://tv.youtube.com/account_settings/liveguide , and discovered that all my channels were still there, just unchecked and at the bottom of the list, as indicated by other postings in this subreddit. I re-checked them and re-ordered them, and they're now back in my Fire TV, no problem.
I reiterate, all the live channels are back where they're supposed to be: my local ABC broadcast affiliate, ABC News Live, ESPN, National Geographic, etc. etc. It's the Library recordings that are screwed up.
Sometimes a network can show you in another nearby location. To update the current area on your Roku TV, go to Location & click on "Current playback area" so that it says "Waiting for your device". Then do the same on your mobile, or go to this link and allow access with your Google account. You'll want to make sure your device's location settings are on before doing this.
If your Roku's current area still isn't updating after those steps, please reach out to the YouTube TV support team here. They'll be able to help you look further into why it isn't updating & pass along any insights to engineering if needed.
It's never on the guide until 12:30 PM Eastern time every Sunday, although an always-working web browser link is https://tv.youtube.com/watch/BlZmKH4vmdE if you just want to have that music going whenever. :-)
From what I understand, this is not the case. Google's own site on the matter appears to say that all local ABC stations will be pulled. It may be that Disney has that in their agreement with the affiliates, or otherwise they are just removed to prevent confusion to users.
>disney isnt even removing all the channels they own, let alone those that they dont. read the article.
You can't be serious.
Click the link below from YouTubeTV which clearly states all of the channels affected. The conversation here is about ABC, because there is conflicting information.

scroll down to the FAQ's and you'll find this:
>Which channels and related VOD content will I lose if the deal with Disney expires?
Your local ABC channel
Now you're just making stuff up.
First thing I said to you was

If you had shared the link then, we wouldn't be in this conversation.

Sling Orange. https://www.sling.com/
That's literally the difference between Sling Orange and Sling Blue; one has Disney (limited to 1 stream and has fewer channels), the other does not have Disney (more simultaneous streams, more channels).
Like someone mentioned below, check out Channels DVR. It uses your youtubeTV, cable provider or other live tv streaming service) login to capture TVE streams and records the programs to a computer or NAS. I have physical copies of all the shows I want, so I'm not beholden to any one company.
It also has WAY more features like automatic commercial skip. I only use youtubeTVs interface for a few things like my AMC+ subscription. I do most of my watching in Channels and Plex.
I added my mom's cable login as a source (you can have multiple sources) so channels will pick up disney channels through verizon and record in the same way. I won't notice any difference in the way I watch television.
Use Channels DVR and link in YouTube TV through their TV Everywhere service. Then use an HDHomeRun and an antenna to pull in local channels. Everything will then show up in one guide. If you want a DVR, it's $8/month or $80/year.
I'm running Plex now, but I have so many problems with it, I'm thinking of switching to Channels DVR.
It's a tracking app so you can track all of your progress for movies, shows miniseries, etc. It's awesome if you normally watch things that can integrate with it. I use it with CinemaHD and a few Kodi add-ons. A bit of a pain when you need to manually do it, but I love the simple interface
If you click the channel name, you can view the next 24-hours...not a ton, but can be helpful sometimes.
As far as figuring out what to watch, I'd highly suggest a service called Trakt r/trakt and trakt.tv. Trakt has clients for all major devices (TV, Android, iOS, Plex, Kodi, etc) and lets you add your favorite shows/movies and easily see when they're coming on next. The calendar views let you easily see 'what's on this week' or 'what's on tonight. Because this is a service, not just an app, it will sync across all apps and also web. The free accounts are 100% and not crippled. I use the Series Guide app on my Android phone and it is awesome, always tells me quickly and easily what is on, what I've watched of old shows (ie, binging old seasons of older shows) and when my favorite shows are coming back.
Here's a quick youtube video overview of the app I use, but again, there are many, many apps that work with trakt, just search 'trakt' in your app store.
I’m not giving Disney or YouTube any satisfaction in this process. I want my ESPN channels for the NFL and remainder of the college football season. I’m staying away from HULU. SLING is taking advantage of this opportunity and offering their all sports package for $20. I’ll gladly pay this for the next month and assume that YTTV will have this resolved by then.
I’ll use a virtual debit card with sling that expires in 30 days so I won’t have to worry about getting charged after the $20 trial expires.
You can get free virtual card numbers linked to your bank account. using Privacy.com
If you're on wireless, and from your post, I assume it is, it might be just your router - try switching channels around.
They sell an ethernet adapter that might help if you don't have that:
What? I don't see anywhere on the YT zip code tool that tells you to use an antenna.
https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/
I go there, I enter Dallas zip code 75001 and see this:

It does not carry KDAF, it says CW VOD-only. Unless the zip code tool is wrong and you actually see KDAF in your YTTV live guide, then that's the problem. YT can't record from a station it doesn't carry.
first off i have an lg tv and have no problem with YTTV . second you can send feedback from your tv from the youtube tv app from the guide menu once your on the tv guide click on your account icon in the upper right mine is a "J" for john go down the list and it says send feedback.
you can also go to https://tv.youtube.com/ and sign into your account and click on your account icon and send feedback
It looks like the National Finals Rodeo is airing on something called The Cowboy Channel, which YTTV does not carry. It is on Sling as part of the "Heartland Extra" package. They also look to sell access through the Cowboy Channel Plus streaming package but only on the $99/year tier.
