Check out Automate.
It's an app which allows you to automate some functions. "Samsung volume notification fix" will remove this warning dialog.
Just search for that title in the Community tab.
I'd like to suggest to anyone interested in giving their phone some automation the app Automate. The app uses flow charts to create automated actions and can even use all the Tasker plugins. It's completely free (though you can pay for pro to be able to add more blocks to a flow).
Some things I use it for:
I made a flow that allows you to control any media player using your proximity sensor. A quick motion near it does play/pause, and holding your hand over it for a little longer skips to the next media item
Some apps I use do not have shortcuts to be able to turn on their actions, so for two of these apps (Stitch and Share which allows you to automatically take screenshots longer than your device's screen and hexatech VPN) I used Automate to create quick settings tiles (Android 7.0+ only) that turn on those functions for me
I made a flow so that when I scan an NFC tag in my car, it turns on Bluetooth, turns on wifi, connects to my car, and turns on Android auto
Another one I made posts a constant notification (set to lowest priority so it doesn't show up in the status bar) that, when clicked on, allows you to schedule SMS messages
There's a lot more you can do with the app and it has a built in store where people can share the flows they have made. You can make anything from very simple actions to extremely advanced automation using Android shell commands. I personally prefer it to Tasker and think everyone should check it out. If anyone would like one of these flows I have made I will send the files.
Isprobano jednom kada sam zaboravio telefon u restoranu.
Draža mi je neka ovakva "ručna" metoda nego davanje moje lokacije nekoj kompaniji konstantno za slučaj da neko nekad možda ukrade moj telefon.
Now is when you discover the far more intuitive and just as functional (for most people) Automate. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
I get more out of it because it's so straightforward for most tasks. Occasionally tasker might be required to get some obscure functionality, but at that point you may as well be writing an app directly.
That's one of the ugliest looking apps I've seen in active development. Is it intuitive enough to use despite that? For example Titanium Backup gets rightly criticised for its outdated UI but it's still usable, whereas IMO Tasker seems to go so far out of its way to be a pain that the profiles aren't worth the hassle of setting them up. I'm a lazy dumbass and Tasker is inherently complex but the similar Automate isn't so off-putting.
Found this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Been using it to automate stuff with my new car. It's pretty cool man.
tldr a free tasker.
If you find tasker to be too convoluted or hard to understand, give Automate a shot. It's not as powerful (or at least wasn't?), but it's much more intuitive to use.
I can recommend <strong>Automate</strong>, a tasker alternative: In my opinion, it is a way more intuitive way to automate your phone. It is based on a different concept (basically flowcharts), so depending on what you use Tasker for, ymmv.
That said, I haven't found anything I did with Tasker before that I couldn't do with Automate. <strong>Here</strong>'s an example of a recipe with which I detect my sleep and report it to my server.
Try Automate (free):
I've set up the free app Automate to change my Nexus 7's wallpaper and play a sound when scanning an amiibo on it.
If you have an NFC-enabled device and want to try this out, follow this guide! Comment if you have any problems.
I've used tasker for years but recently started using Automate .The GUI is miles ahead of tasker and displays each automation in a flow diagram type way.
It doesn't provide the same level of detail that tasker would have but for simple stuff it does a great job
I have been frustrated with Audible's sleep timer for awhile, especially compared to Smart Audiobook Player.
I found that I could script my own sleep timer with the Automate app. I was also able to use it to add a Shake to Play feature.
The most significant block is the Audio Player Control which uses transport controls to control the com.audible.application package.
You can try tasker if you like, download tasker from developers website to try a trial before buying. https://tasker.joaoapps.com/dl
Or try Automate https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
After few adjustments and tweaks you might be able to do this.
Automate has a flow for this. I use one to disable the popup for airplane mode, and another to disable the popup for high volume warning.
Automate runs Tasker plugins, but the free version is limited. You may be able to run it for free just for doing this.
I have the paid version of Automate and use AutoInput along with other Tasker plugins fine.
Give Automate a try. I find it a lot more useful than IFTTT. It doesn't work with online services, but it is great for automating your phone.
On my tablet I use Automate https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate to link Media Volume and Notification Volume. That way, the volume rocker will always change my Media volume. However, it's not a solution for my phone use.
Automate has a flow called Samsung Volume Notification to disable this dialog.
E: I also use one to disable the confirmation dialog when turning on airplane mode, and one to automatically turn wifi off after 10 min of no signal (away from home)
<strong>Automate</strong> - Free (In App Purchases) - Rating: 4.5/5 - Search for 'Automate' on the <strong>Play Store</strong>
Automate likely has a flow for this. I use one to disable the popup for airplane mode, and another to disable the popup for high volume warning.
For full functionality, Tasker also requires a lot of paid plugins (though they are sometimes needed with every automation app, depending on what you are doing). If you want to mess around with an automation app without paying, try AutoMate and MacroDroid.
Automate for Android + Root Switch will do the trick. The following script will toggle off root automatically when Pokémon GO is in the foreground, using the Root Switch scripts.
This was my mentality, but since finding Automate for Android, I just keep looking for something similar to this, but preferably without resorting to just hooking everything up electrically/mechanically to a box with cron jobs.
On another note, I'm somewhat in the same boat -- I have the time to do this, but (as a student) I do not have the money, nor quite the experience. T_T
Tasker has a free 7-day trial: http://tasker.dinglisch.net/download.html
Automate is an alternative. Its free edition doesn't have a time limit, but limits to 30 running blocks. That should be enough for everything except very advanced automations.
Well you could do that using Automate (Android)
With Automate, you can make your own automations like turning on WiFi when you get home etc.
Problem is, it's hard to understand in the beginning because you have to learn how everything works.
However, I could make it work for you (since you can share automations)
Edit2: apparently there's a setting for this >There's the "Ringtone Mode" option; change the mode to "Silent" and it'll automatically turn on Do Not Disturb mode when you plant a tree.
Not sure what device you're on. For Android, I ended up using "Automate"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
It's not the easiest thing to use, but I needed some additional scheduling type stuff (ie: take a photo every 30 seconds between the hours of 7am and 7pm).
I like Automate. Easily the best automation application with regard to permission and structure.
You can be low-level and input manual commands, variables, etc. if you want/need, or you can use the blocks to just plug together.
Each permission has a separate package on the market, so you cannot accidentally do something you didn't mean to, and you have maximum privacy. Even works with rooted stuff, if you're rooted.
I can't comment on n7, but I'd buy Nova and use AutoMate. It doesn't have the online community Tasker does (so help will be harder to come by), but it's essentially free and just as capable.
If you can't find a readymade solution, you could build it in an automaton app. Here it is in AutoMate.
Switching the order of accelerometer and proximity sensor might save some battery. Whichever is first will be constantly running, obviously. You could add other requirements to cut down on sensor use (screen off, device orientation, time of day, etc), but this is the core of it.
Automate is my absolute favorite. So low level, you can do literally anything. Made a flow for custom "OK Google" prompts after they removed that. Then tossed it at some point as I wasn't using it. But could remake it, as I could use it to launch other flows.
So why not use something to automate that for you?
I'm sure there are plenty of apps that can do this, however my goto option for automating almost anything on my phone is to use Automate it's basically one of those graphical scripting type of programs, it makes it super easy to understand and follow what it's doing and I even suck at programming pretty much anything.
You could easily do something as simple as ping 8.8.8.8 every 30-60 minutes and if no reply is received then reset wifi.
This. Tasker is the best if its kind.
If you want something with a more simple UI, Automate works too and its a bit easier to work with.
Make super-versatile and small "mini apps" (called Flows) to automate tasks. Uses virtually no memory with most Flows only being bytes in size. I have a Flow for routinely deleting junk off my device (having 4GB of usable space sucks :( ), one for measuring my charging speed with different setups, a strobe light, an audio recorder, a future SMS sender, and one to toggle between 4G and 2G/3G.
Automate's Community is like an App Store for Flows. There you can upload, download, rate, and review Flows to help others automate mundane tasks as well.
Pretty much any small task that you would normally need a completely new app to carry out, can be made into a Flow in a few minutes with Automate.
I don't think many people were bashing Tasker for its design (the thing the new beta addresses) but for its awful, unintuitive UX (which the beta entirely ignores).
And, no, a tool like this doesn't have to be unintuitive and unpleasant to use. "If->Then" automation tools aren't anything new and revolutionary and while Tasker is still the most powerful, it's not even the only one on Android.
Just look at Automate - it's an app for essentially the same purpose and it mostly has the same dated and ugly design as Tasker 4. Yet its UX is infinitely more intuitive. Give the two apps to someone who has never used them before and I guarantee you that they'll be far more successful creating a task with Automate. And Automate's UX isn't even that great, is simply not as terrible as Tasker's.
Tasker desperately needed a better UX, and a better UX is definitely possible. The beta doesn't provide it and entirely missed the point of the complaints.
> Now is when you discover the far more intuitive and just as functional (for most people) Automate. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
No, now is when you discover the far more intuitive and even more functional Automagic. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.gridvision.ppam.androidautomagic
> I get more out of it because it's so straightforward for most tasks. Occasionally tasker might be required to get some obscure functionality, but at that point you may as well be writing an app directly.
I get more out of it because it's so straightforward for all tasks. Occasionally Tasker plugins might be required to get some obscure functionality, but Automagic supports them too.
Just give Automate a try.
You mentioned Tasker is complicated right? Imagine an automation app that is as powerful as Tasker but without the complexities and that is Automate!
I'm using Tasker to create shortcuts for that, yeah. You can use other automation apps as well to accomplish the same thing. I haven't used it myself, but this free one looks like it has the same functionality: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Not the same capitalization but there's also Automate which is a Tasker workalike. Super generic names make it awful to find help or reviews on the internet.
I have used Llama and Tasker, but found both lacking. Llama had rather few triggers, and Tasker could only can triggers using the "and" operator, so I switched to Automate which let's me do just about anything!
You can make much more advanced setups than both Tasker and Llama, But it's a bit harder to use.
For example I have a flow which turns Bluetooth on for a minute when my phone is plugged into power, if my phone connects to my car audio in that time span, then it fires up my GPS app. My Bluetooth is a bit unstable, so I set the flow up to wait until the power is unplugged, even then it retries after a short delay to make sure that is wasn't just the engine that cut out, and if the power doesn't come on again it finally turns Bluetooth off.
OP, this is great advice. Is it always the same number she calls from? If tasker is too complicated there is another app that is similar called Automate which is a little more user friendly for someone who doesn't need anything more complicated. Please let me know if you need any help setting it up. Also, good suggestion ananano!
Oh yeah definitely. I'll also recommend things like Apple Shortcuts or Automate for folks who don't like text-based programming
Ja ti imam Xiaomi Mi Note 10, koristim automate i baš sam napravio moj flow. Uglavnom drag and drop program https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Znači napravio sam da mi izbaci drag counter gdje biram koko poruka da mi pošalje odjednom recimo 30, 30 x 2 60GB. Ali sam napravio da mogu poslati do 50 poruka odjednom
Though I haven't tried it personally, you could probably set up a flow in Automate that would send up notifications like this.
oh yeah, it absolutely is, I had the setup a while ago, but in my setup you needed a phone.
it was a little something like:
you just need to create an always running automate script which triggers a WOL signal to the right IP when the right notification comes in. it's easier than it sounds, I'm just crap at describing such things ^^'
In that case couldn't you just install and use one of the apps that automatically executes actions/events (such as connect to a specific wi-fi network) when things happen (such as your wi-fi network becomes available). Then whenever you come into range of your wi-fi, it would auto-connect to your wi-fi.
Something like Automate: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Then configure it so whenever your at home, it connects to the home wi-fi automatically.
Agree with your points, I've used this back when it was called Llama for location based stuff , you could also check out Tasker and Locale but I appreciate all these require more work than just scheduling them via an app.
Day wise does a similar thing to Post Box but you can set exception, you might have to search apk mirror for the apk.
I don't think there's a way for IFTTT to know about your app usage. You might have more luck trying out automator apps if you're on Android.
Er draait bij mij een Automate scriptje die een nieuwe 1GB bundel activeert als er een SMS binnenkomt met het woord "databundel" erin. Dan hoef je niet steeds je stream te pauzeren on het te fixen als je iets aan het kijken bent.
Automate has an Attention light block.
Automate (free) has an Interact touch block.
I'm doing this. Not using tasker specifically, I like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate but that's a personal thing and you can do everything with tasker anyway. If you have a rooted phone, then you can have airplane mode automated in the background, but if not then Google has done a really good job of preventing that from happening. If you have a nexus/pixel you can automatically toggle mobile data, but I think that's mostly pointless because the phone does that anyway unless you've turned it off in developer settings. If you don't want to root your phone the best I've found that you can do is this http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/18658, or whatever the tasker equivalent is, which uses accessibility permissions to actually open the notification shade and hit the airplane mode toggle. This only works when the screen is on, and of course Google has been threatening to take away accessibility permissions recently. If you find a better solution, I would really love to hear it.
Automate. It's a little weird to get used to but it makes sense once you use it enough. I believe they have functions for that so just make a loop. Delay --> Unlock --> Delay --> lock. Then loop it.
Off the top of my head I know Automate could do this. Automate just lets you automate all sorts of tasks, I just use it to automatically lock the screen when I plug the device into a charger.
But you'd just create a loop that triggers when a unlock broadcast is received, have it add a message to the log, then loop it back and wait for another unlock.
Automate has a Process text selection block, this allow you to do pretty much anything with the selected text.
You can use Automate (free) along with the official PushBullet app.
You'll need to create a flow like this: When ringing in-call -> Plug-in action (PushBullet)
The call detector block can pass the incoming number as a variable to the plugin action. Also don't forget to make a loop out of the blocks, so that the flow doesn't need to be restarted manually each time.
Automate has a great wiki on the official website, but feel free to ask for help here if you get stuck.
Sorry, cannot help with Macrodroid, but on Automagic it work like this: https://i.imgur.com/SLkal7s.jpg
Automagic is pay app, but there is Automate you can try free. Maybe that work.
Honorable mention, Automate, it's kind of a mix between a very different way to do automation, and a graphical programming environment. Hypothetically very powerful and I find it very interesting; but I've never managed to do anything useful with it. Also last time I tried to do something useful with it there was a significant loss of battery time; I'm sure that has a lot to do with the implementation of your flow so it may have been my fault.
I'd say for any given task Automate is more powerful, more difficult, and maybe, if you're the right kind of person, more fun.
I actually use an app called "Automate" that allows you to automate practically anything on your phone as a macro.
Some of the things I use it for are...
Turn wifi off automatically once I leave home, turns it back on when I come back (Saves battery).
Automatically send my other half a text to say I am near home when I get to within a certain distance using geofencing.
Set myself a reminder to pop into a certain store if I need something from it. As soon as I am near the store my phone alerts me.
It can do a million and one other things that you can think of.
I use it along with Sleep for Android to monitor when I fall asleep, pause Kodi in my room then use the IR blaster on my phone to turn the TV off. Works quite well.
You could also use something like Tasker. But I find Automate to be easier to start out with. Tasker is definitely more powerful though.
You can with Automate. Install the app and use this script.
Or just make one yourself with the app, should be able to add sound that way as well.
I havent had any issues with battery life. I took it out of the charger at 9am this morning, and it has 87% now. Generally I think it will last me about two days, if I dont charge it.
The great thing though, is that it charges really quick. I have a charging dock at my desk and on my bedside table. I use the watch to track my sleep, so I can't charge it at night. Instead I give it a short charge before bedtime, while getting ready to sleep, and then I give it a short charge again in the morning. Even if its below 10%, I can charge it for 20 minutes or so, and have enough of a charge to last me through the day.
So for me, battery life has not been an issue. Even after more than a year of daily usage.
About the NFC stuff. Check out Automate. Its pretty much a flow-chart programming thing, where its really easy to set up some simple automation. Like "when I scan this NFC chip, do this thing." You can also check out Tasker, but its quite a bit more complicated, and at least for me it has been too cumbersome to work with. That being said - its a lot more powerful than Automate.
There is an app called Automate. It can detect when your phone is locked/unlocked. Then you can program it to play a sound when done so.
Here is a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
I dont know how technically inclined you are, but it would be pretty easy to do what you want in Llama labs Automate. It's pretty much just a flowchart programming app, but it can easily do what you want. You can check it out here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate Comment if you have questions.
There's a bit of a learning curve but I believe Automate will do what you're looking for. Actually, if you have it on that phone, the Google Assistant will do it with absolutely no configuration.
You can also create an intent to "com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.MUSIC_SEARCH" and bind it to a homescreen shortcut. I use automate for this. play store link
I wrote a flow for Automate that enables/disabled data and other things on the fly. Took my old LG OG from 12hrs to 32hrs battery life. This is at the expense of push notifications that require data like Facebook though.
Ja koristim Automate. Trenutno imam namesteno:
It's in the video description:
>This works by running Automate on the Nexus Player, and receiving cloud commands. OpenHab then sends this cloud commands with a simple curl -X POST
.
>It's not 100% accurate (the Nexus Player sometimes get's tired and doesn't start the launcher when it's turned on), but it's the only solution that I've found for turning on the TV. And this is a little bit hacky, because it relies on HDMI-CEC (the nexus player receives the command, then turns on the TV - this is a CEC feature).
Basically, the Nexus Player can turn on the TV via CEC. I use Automate to run in the background on the nexus player, and when it receives a command (REST), it does something. In this case, I have Automate simulate a home button tap (tapping on home on the nexus remote wakes the TV through CEC).
The rest of the actions are the same, for each one only difference is the payload variable which I send to the nexus player. So I have
POST data {"payload":"TurnOn"} -> Tap Home
POST data {"payload":"Kodi"} -> Open Kodi
POST data {"payload":"Exit"} -> Tap Home
There are a lot of automation apps such as Automate and Tasker, if you don't want to get too complicated, I'd recommend Automate.
I use some WhizTags with Automate to turn on bluetooth, set volume and brightness for when I get to work, am heading out to the car, or when I get home. I really like the keychain tag but I only have use for about 3 tags so far. No issues that I know of, and they are overkill because I don't need that much storage on each tag. Literally all I write is a link to Automate so it is launched when the tag is scanned.
I recently switched to Automate after years of Tasker. It has a flowchart system that makes multi-path "tasks" really easy to design, as opposed to tasker. It also integrates with all the Tasker/Locale plugins.
Well it looks like you found an app for your needs but if you want to try automating other tasks there are free alternatives to tasker. Automate is one often recommended on here. I have no experience with that one though.
Here's an example automation flow for Automate (free) that start playback of playlist by name: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/499
Automate has a Device reboot block, it does a "clean" shutdown giving the system and apps time finish up, unlike Taskers Reboot action.
Linkme: Automate
Google Now supports some voice commands, like "play music" and "play <artist>", but not much more. But here's an automation flow for Automate which adds "next song", "pause music", "resume music" and "stop music": http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/479
You can't really end an app, it's not the way Android works. Unless an app is designed to "end" the only way to stop it is to kill its process, and that requires a rooted device. The best option is to use apps that supports "timers", but if that's not possible your only option is to use an automation app. Automate has a block to kill an app process, but as said, it requires a rooted device.
In terms of content there is no difference. Legendary edition is just a bundle of the base game with the DLC, which or may not be a different price.
Yes, on mobile I find certain text to be too small. The game has a pinch to zoom feature, but new window boxes (like equipment stats) will always rescale to be constant size regardless of zoom level so the text is always small.
As a workaround I found the native Android feature called "Touch zoom" works well. With Touch zoom turned on you can triple tap then pinch zoom to enlarge the text size for things like equipment items. The only downside is that there is extra input delay because the device is waiting to see if you're going to triple tap. This makes moving and fighting monsters more tedious. To fix that I downloaded the Automate app to add a button to an assist button that turns on Touch zoom when Titan Quest is open so I can use it when reading stats and turn it off when fighting.
not that i know of, but you could try Automate. its a super simple automation app and should be able to do that :) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en&gl=US
For my phone when I used that in the past I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
It's too bad you can't use the nfc on your watch for anything outside of payments. Like to me lazy is king. And holding up my wrist to a sticker is far less work than getting my phone out of my pocket
No settings in the phone for this but try the app Automate which is a very easy to use but powerful automation app for your phone. Can use Bluetooth to trigger and Spotify other music apps as the action
It's related to the value under 'Display > Screen Timeout'; the display dims near the end of this duration to let you know it's due to turn off shortly...
Obviously this is redundant when 'Keep awake...' is on, but that's Android devs for you^(*), especially when the maximum you can set it using the app is 30m.
I've been able to bypass this it by using Automate (which is free for up to 30 blocks - more than enough for what you want) and setting the screen timeout to 99h99m99s when the charger is plugged in (and reverting back to 2m when it's unplugged)...
Obviously, if you're keeping it on 24/7 you'd still need to tap the display every 4 days (and 4h:39m:39s) since that's the maximum duration and it' would still dim after that time; there's no doubt a way to flip the screen off and back on after a set time to automate that too, but I'm still new to it so... 🤷♂️
^(*)Their "once something is working perfectly, put something really annoying in there to balance it out" approach to OS design will never stop being a pain in the ass.
If this is of interest to anyone else, I might have been able to achieve this somehow, not very difficult but has a few caveats.
This way SMS Backup+ will always be running in the background and will autostart when the phone (re)boots.
Note: Make sure Automate has autostart enabled, go to its Settings > Safety > Run on system startup
So are you always wanting the fan on when the humidifier is on? If so just get a 2 socket adapter and have both the fan and humidity connected to it that way you only need to control one outlet
If not then you could try use automate app and set up routines using either web request (if compatible) or assistant comands (again if compatible)
Automate - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Other apps similar are available
I've just found a way to make it work, it uses only free app and doesn't need the root.
I want to take pictures with my Pixel 6, send them (via Resilio Sync) on my old xiaomi redmi note 8t (mounting a pixel experience custom rom with unlimited full resolution storage on Google Photo) and upload the photo from the Xiaomi.
Obviously this is gonna work also with old pixels and you don't need to have any custom rom.

after the typical procedure for having the sync folder with resilio, i found myself in the same condition that you described, a folder in the phone with all the pictures i'm trying to sync and google photo that doesn't want to upload them, even worst, it seems that is not even finding my pictures on the phone.

the app I'm using to make it work is Automate, you just have to install this app and import this very easy program i've written.
To make it work on your phone you should modify a few things. Edit the flow tree and make this changes
open the delay brick and chose the interval of update
open the add media "...." brick and modify the path to the folder you are syncing on resilio
if you want a toast notification every time the flow runs, you can keep the last brick (you may change the displayed message) otherwise just delete the brick (remember to bind the last brick with the first so that an the end it will restart from the beginning.

I hope this is going to work for you, if it doesn't please write to me.
and sorry for my dumb english
Is this one not enough?
It is the best I could find too, and it is enough for me.
To turn on data + wifi + gps on sms, I am using Automate, but Tasker should also work.
Think I'm going to try this Flow for Automate - Airplane Mode [Interval]
I'll set it to turn airplane mode on for a few minutes each day, maybe twice a day. See if that helps.
You can automate almost anything on Android with this... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
But honestly, unless your work pays you for it and gives you a phone, they have no right to call you unless it's a safety concern.
My HR department has contact details in case of emergency, but no-one I work with had my phone number.
>it failed with "cmd: Failure calling service settings: Failed transaction"
It's typically because a command was executed that needed superuser rights. For example when using a terminal app and your device has root (through Magisk), you need to type "su" as your first command and press enter.
Also thanks for your post, I did find yours through Google ^^ I was looking for a command to enable the navigation bar through the commandline, and your post was the first result. To do this with commands more conveniently, using the Automate app is extremely useful.
There is an indirect way.
On your (android) phone you can use the app Automate link to make the callThere is a free version.
The way I would set this up is as follows: Let Home Assistant send an MQTT message. Let Automate (on your phone) wait for that MQTT message to then trigger the call.
You can send messages this way from Automate to HA.
Not sure how to get the original volume warning back, but I use the Automate app to create a new one. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
The app makes your phone automatically trigger actions based on the occurences. So I used the volume check block and the headphone check block to lower the sound volume if it goes above some value when my headphones are plugged in.
I just created and tested a small flow using Automate ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate ). The first time is started Android will ask you to grant "Do Not Disturb" permissions to Automate. Here's a screenshot of the flow: https://i.imgur.com/AXW3oqN.jpeg
You could always make your own stop watch using an app called automate. Or if you aren't inclined to do so I could build and share it for you and you could just download it.
Die App Automate kann das mit dem Umweg über den Flugmodus. (Zumindest bei mir) Hab allerdings die Premium Version davon, die ist aber glaube ich nicht nötig für deine Funktion
Automate has some extra options for automation compared to Macrodroid which I used previously.

Automate is great. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Check out this sub-reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Tasker
If you're just looking for ideas on what to automate, check out the flow sharing community for another automation app called Automate, which has similar features: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/
I haven't done one of these in a while, so here's a list of the apps I've been using recently, all compiled into a list organized by category (note: I'll be adding more in a bit, so check back in an hour or so)
<strong>Automate</strong> [★★★★☆] [Premium Purchase] - Think Tasker, but slightly less powerful, but significantly more user friendly. You can automate various tasks using flowcharts, which I personally love. It can also interact with Tasker, so you can do the simpler stuff in awesome Flowcharts, and then the more intricate tasks on Tasker!
<strong>IFTTT (If This Than That)</strong> [★★★☆☆]- IFTTT is automation for those who don't plan to get too far into it. For some super simple tasks (ie, every time I get a text or call, log some info in a google sheet), I prefer IFTTT because it just runs in the background without me having to care. It's extremely limited, as it relies on other apps to tie into it. It also contains no Boolean logic to my knowledge, meaning no IF x AND y THEN z, only IF x THEN y
<strong>Alto's Adventure</strong> [★★★★☆] [In App Purchases] - As a fan of infinite runner games, this one is by far my favorite. It's popularity has died down a lot, but I still play it every couple of days.
<strong>250+ Solitaire Collection</strong> [★★★★★] [Premium Purchase] - Solitaire. Plain, pure, simple solitaire. I love it. It has over 250 different games, each with it own rules (of course, I only play Spider and Klondike draw 3 because I'm wasteful :P). It has ads, and an iAP to remove them. The interface is fairly bland, but it's at least good enough to get the point across, so I'm ignoring that in my ratings. Controls are nice, but it often won't tell you when you've lost a game of Klondike, which can sometimes be annoying.
<strong>Pixel Dungeon + Variants</strong> [★★★★☆] [In App Purchases] - This game is so damned deceptive. On the surface, it seems like you move around your characters and beat rats to death with your stick. Once you get passed the second floor, you realize this game hates you. You start each game not knowing what each color of potion does, what each scroll does, what each wand does, or what random piece of loot is F*@#&ING CURSED. This game is like one continuous Dark Souls 2 Shrine of Amana for me: death after death after death. Some my fault, some the asshat who shot me around an impossible corner's fault.
Yes, this is indeed possible. On the top of my head I know two options:
Option 1: kivy, a framework to develop entire apps in python.
Option 2: termux, a terminal emulator and linux environment in which you can install python. This might need something like automate or tasker to start scripts automatically.
To start apps/specific activities through your script check out activity manager (use it without the adb part when using a terminal app instead of your computer with adb).
If you've got any further question I may or may not help you, most likely not though.
Automate, a just a powerful, but free alternative to Tasker. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate

Automate: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Damit kannst du jegliche Funktionen deines Handy automatisch steuern.
Automate. Fa quello che fa Tasker ma con molte meno risorse e consumo della batteria.
Maybe you should try Automate? It's like a flowchart, might be easier to use than Tasker.
Managed to emulate this functionality using the Automate app
Flow DL link: https://we.tl/t-5h0T9KaWq6
UPDATE: Fixed an issue where flipping the switch to silent while watching videos would mute them. The flow now only enables DND if there's no media playing.
How are you wanting them to open, in multiple tabs or in multi-window view or what? Either way, an automation app can do this. If you need some help, feel free to message me.
You can make this yourself with automate by llamalab.
If you want to, I'll make it for you and send it.
Between Pent announcing he would be slowing down development several months back, and dealing with some weird Tasker bugs, I started looking at other solutions.
I found Automate and AutoMagic, with AutoMagic being the winner IMO.
It's extremely powerful, very cool flow chart interface (Automate has this as well, but not as smooth), and both support Tasker plugins.
Highly recommend you check it out. I ended up buying both to show support to the devs, although AutoMagic is what I use now. Both apps seem to be kept up to date (with AutoMagic supporting some of the Marshmallow features), so that's another plus.
Tasker was/is an amazing app that launched a whole new category of apps, and people that know me know I'm a die-hard Tasker fan, so I surprised myself when I realized how much I like AutoMagic.
Automate has an Input method set block, but it requires that you either have a rooted device which can, or use ADB to, grant the app the Write secure settings permission.
Try Automate (free).
Most of these things can be accomplished with an automation app. I'll put them together when I get a break and edit this comment.
Edit: Here is how to make the admin lock task in AutoMate. I'm using Swipe Up Utility to trigger based on unregistered fingerprint. Here's how to set it up to lock on unregistered fingerprint.
Here's how to create a task in Tasker that calls 112 and then adds a non-system lockscreen. I'm assuming you want to keep the call open so this keeps people from being able to cancel the call from the normal lockscreen call screen access. You could add more steps, like system lock or screen off, but I wasn't sure exactly what you wanted. Here's how to assign it in Swipe Up Utility.
Forcing a shut down from failed entries is a bit more complicated for non-rooted devices, which I'll assume you have. I can't create that for you because you'd need to automate touches, which vary depending on device.
You could also use fingerprint gestures as triggers. If you are on Oreo, this functionality is improved.
Since we are assuming panic situations, you could do other triggers like requiring that you clear hourly notifications, disconnecting headphones, phone movement, location fences, proximity sensor, light sensor, failed log in, etc and actions like the camera starts recording, text your family your location, etc.
Here's another example of it being used. It's that easy.
How to achieve this:
1) download Automate and the superuser permission addon
2) use a PC to grant Automate secure settings permissions using the following command using adb:
> adb shell pm grant com.llamalab.automate.ext.superuser android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
I like the Minimal ADB and Fastboot for running ADB commands without needing the full Android SDK.
3) Create your flow like this: This picture shows the overall flow, and the details of each block. (I did have a Google drive download, but someone tried to hack my Google account... )
Sorry about the UK English spelling of colour :)
Feel free to send me some recommendations if it needs more features.
I made this in just a few minutes, so it's very simple for now.
Samsung Internet still shows a white navbar, but I think almost everything else works.
It is called Automate now and is still maintained.
Try Automate.
Automate by LlamaLab is another good option if you are evaluating automation apps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en_US&gl=US
If you're on android, I set up a quick Automate flow that will show a notification daily at 8am if your entered region has a total fire ban.
automate or tasker.
cant you just set repeating event to the calendar? If you want to automate it, you can use e.g. Automate to do it for you https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Neither is open source but both automation apps have their fans. Try both.
I like MacroDroid but it's not open source either.
Try Automate (free):
My current solution to add a toggle is a flow I made in Automate (app similar to Tasker).
Here it is in action: https://gfycat.com/rapidmellowdeviltasmanian
To use it you have to buy premium in automate (I think it's $3).
Link to the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate. Link to the flow http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/26841.
Automate (free) also has such features:
Automate, use it as a replacement for other apps.
Try Automate (free):
I use LlamaLab Automate.
Does anybody have experience with both? Should I also get this?
Pull the Android sdk and get hacking.
Or this might be somewhat easier. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
The would be Automate:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
IFTTT is cross platform and not as powerful.
Automate is another alternative, it has lots of root features built-in, no need to buy plug-ins like Secure Settings.
Tasker is the way to do it, though it has a steep learning curve. Should be less steep with a software dev background.
If tasker still is too difficult there are more intuitive alternatives like Automate.

Easily accomplished with Automate (free);
Automate has a block to change Mobile data set state if you have a rooted device, it not, you should be able to use the Interact block to toggle the option in system settings.
Please list Automate as an automation app. It's as powerful as Tasker, but can be used for free, without a 7 day evaluation limit: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Si y viendo que OP tiene Android, con esta app está facil hacer eso: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
I'm not sure what to say about your app specifically, but since you feel strongly that your app should be classified as a "Device Automation" app, maybe look at how your app (and app description) differs from a couple of apps that got the exception:
etc... (I just searched for "automation" and then clicked through to see permissions)
Good luck
A phone automation app might be the best bet.
I saw someone recommend Tasker. While super powerful... it's a major pain in the ass to learn, especially if you just want something quick.
You might consider something more user friendly like Automate, MacroDroid, or IFTTT.
I use Automate
Automate e buon divertimento! /s
In Automate, use the Cloud message send block on "phone B" to send a "alive" message to "phone A" listening with an Cloud message receive block.
Try Automate (free):
Check out Automate, I guess it might work the way you want.
Automate (free) has the blocks for it:
Try Automate (free): 1. Location at 2. Audio volume set
Easily done with Automate (free):
I use Automate, very similar to your app!
Try Automate (free):
Automate has a Cell tower near block for this exact purpose. But on Android 6+ the system Location setting may have to be enabled anyway, it's a Android privacy feature. Also, DIY geofencing will likely use more battery that letting the system handle it, i.e. the Location at block.
I've set up similar with an automation app for makeshift motorcycle and home security before. There may be better options available to a rooted phone that I'm not familiar with.
You could go the easy route and use Google's Find My Device, which allows you to remotely update the location pull and set off a tone. Or, you can build one in an automation app (Tasker, AutoMate, AutoMagic), which allows sensor use—I can't guarantee reliability with your phone, but I've had good results. The real problem, I'd imagine, is how would you delay their discovery of the phone long enough for the tracking to be of value? Maybe you'd get lucky and they'd drive home without opening it, but that's a high level of stupidity to count on. For this reason, I'd imagine a security camera would have a better chance of catching them—though that leaves the problem of identification. But, if you are dedicated to this, I'd suggest getting an item you can hide the phone and battery pack in (securely—no rattling) that someone wouldn't think to disassemble, is worth keeping, and will function believably (if tested) until you get the cops there. Maybe a small amp for a guitar? Pop off the back, adhere it to the case, close it up… Whatever it is, it'd have to be believably packaged and labeled for shipping—unless, again, you're counting on their incredible stupidity. Anyway, I'll skip to the phone portion and leave the rest to you.
Here's a manual version in AutoMate, which requires you check its location via text. You could easily switch it to send automatically based on time or a sensor reading (movement, geofence, magnetic reading, driving detected, etc). Or, if you feel like gambling and letting them find the phone, burst pictures that upload to Drive when the phone is exposed to light, or whatever. If you have something specific in mind, or need help getting something working, feel free to message me.
Location sharing in Google Maps.
If that isn't good enough, install AutoMate, download this, and import it. Select what tone you want to play. Turn it on (and check all the boxes) and you're done. You may want to edit the fix age to a smaller increment.
This allows you to raise your volume and start a tone that will not stop until you clear the notification on your lost phone and allows you to update location data and receive Google map coordinates in link form.
To raise volume and trigger a tone, text "nearphone" (no quotation marks).
To update location and receive that information, text "findphone" (no quotation marks).
Try Automate, it's free(mium), and has even more features built-in.
AutoMate is the only free automation app with this feature. It will work in most apps but not all.
Location sharing in Google Maps.
If that isn't good enough, install AutoMate, download this, and import it. Select what tone you want to play. Turn it on (and check all the boxes) and you're done.
Since it is an insecure lockscreen, you may be able to bypass the need for automated swipes. You can test it for free using AutoMate and TouchTask. Build this. Hit start (or add homescreen shortcut) and it will trigger every 5 minutes until stopped.
If that doesn't work, here's how to build a 3 swipe version using Tasker, AutoInput, and SecureTask. Set your swipe coordinates and duration. Set the time period you want it to run and you're good.
You can make one in an automation app. I built it for you in AutoMate. Install AutoMate, download this, import it, and change the networks to the two you use. The top and bottom right blocks should have the same network assigned. The bottom block should have the other network.
Then add the widget to the homescreen. Either of the two options work, depending on which appearance you prefer—one is a classic widget style, the other can have its icon switched like app icons.
Just tap it and it will check your current network, then switch to the other. It runs only when you tap the widget.
Maybe try Automate?
Automate has an Personal activity block to detect when you're "driving" and an Bluetooth set state block to disable BT.
Try Automate...
Y: Airplane mode set state block: on
N: Airplane mode set state block: off
(loop back up)
A complete example: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/7
I think you can do this with Automate.
I've found Automate by LlamaLabs to be really great: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
I've had success with Automate. It uses a flowchart to program the actions so it's really easy to use.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
If you are willing to build it yourself, you could use an automation app. AutoMate is (mostly—30 block limit, but this shouldn't take 30 blocks to accomplish) free and MacroDroid lets you build six unlimited automations for free. Most of your request is easily done, but you'd have to get into assigning variables to reformat the text, I think. So, this option isn't particularly user friendly.
AutoNotification isn't free, but it makes this sort of thing easier.
AutoMate appears to allow IR transmissions.
Use Automate (free) and the following blocks:
None. Both Automate and MacroDroid can be used for free. If you choose Tasker be prepared to buy a lot of additional "plug-ins", even for basic features.
Thanks for the update, good to know.
This is the app you're talking about, right? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Yeah, att is behind the times on this update. I heard it's due to some minor bug they're waiting to have fixed first.
You can use adb commands to hide it, and also there's some apps that do it. I've been using Automate to do the hiding, and then Tiles to add a tile in the notification drawer to my automate script. Works great for me. I also use Simple Pie to give me a navbar that pops out from the side.
Edit: here's my automate script. http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/14495
I have a few variables defined to exclude the hiding depending on my mood. Default is to keep navbar on Nova launcher and camera.
Automate has the building block you need:
Powering up the device is impossible.
There were no solutions that provided diagnostics for my motorcycle, so I started using one of the free lines to solve this. I store a phone under my seat. I run Automate on it to detect small movement (like the bike being knocked over or sat on) and text me if/when it occurs. I run MacroDroid to text me if it moves a certain speed/outside of a defined area after parking. You could set it up to send you the GPS coordinates via text (which works without data) or even just use Find My Device. You could even set it to take a picture from a certain trigger (if you were afraid they might find the phone), like ambient light change, proximity sensor, power button pressed, etc.
You could put the phone in a small watertight container (Pelican?) and use a magnet to place it somewhere inconspicuous, if under the seat didn't work for you.
Automate has the blocks you need:
Came across this looking for an answer to this too. I found a solution if you're still looking for one. You need to install Automate though.
I made this flow to quickly toggle fast charging on or off. You can download it here. Once you've installed Automate you can import the flow from the drop down menu of its main screen. Then you can create an Automate shortcut widget on the desktop to quickly run the flow.
Make sure to have fast charging set to off before the first time you run it. Otherwise the toast notification that shows if the flow turned it off or on will be inverted.
Automate has an Power save mode set state block, rooted device required! Toggle it using a Quick Settings Tile, Notification, widget or shortcut.
Try Automate, using its NFC tag scanned block. An example flow: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/989
isn't this the updated version? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate

Automate has Cloud message send and Cloud message receive blocks for inter-device and web-to-device communication.
Automate has a block for it: http://llamalab.com/automate/doc/block/mobile_network_preferred_set.html
Lots of examples for Automate: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/
Linkme: Automate for LlamaLab
Easily done in Automate:
Consider switching to Llama Lab's newer and more functional app: Automate.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
Try using Automate to add a Quick Settings tile that request an account sync.
automate is a much more simple tasker alternative that I think works better for most people. Tasker is more powerful though.
also, AmbiTuner to fix the ambient display instead of going always on.
On a personal note I'm a big fan of widgets and a clean interface (oxymoron I know) which is why I like Action Launcher 3 and the way it allows you to swipe up from a program icon to popup it's widget. Clean and functional.
"Forget" the network's? Turn off wifi? Use something like Automate or Tasker to program turning off your wifi?
Most automation apps can perform such tasks. Automate (free) is one alternative, it has Wi-Fi connected, Battery level, Location at and Time window (building) blocks.
You could try Automate. Easy to use but maybe not as powerful as Tasker.
Automate has an Clear cache block, a rooted device is required.
No, not that one bot!
This is the correct app I was referring to: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
No, no, bot. Here it is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Will shortcuts support other automation apps? I have moved on from Tasker and now use Automate for example. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
Automate has an AppOps mode set block.
Why not Automate it yourself:
Automate can make calls without user interaction. It also has built-in support for UI automation to press buttons, etc.
No need for an Xposed module, an automation app like Automate would suffice. A simple three block flow that show a notification or hide it whenever the cell signal strength goes below a certain percent. Using the LED without a notification do require root.
Linkme: Automate
Try Automate, a free alternative to Tasker. It has a few user-made automation flows to change wallpaper: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/?q=wallpaper
Here's a automation flow for Automate which does what you request: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/464
You could probably use Automate to create a simple flow using the Personal activity block to detect when the car starts to move, and then send an e-mail or SMS.
Automate has a block for weather forecasts.
Automate has a block to toggle the camera flash LED. With a rooted device you can also toggle the attention light LED, which may give enough light in a dark room, and use very little battery.
Should be trivial to do with an automation app like Automate.
Automate, AutomateIt can definitely give you toast messages on your screen based on conditions. Maybe sound too, it's been a while I used any of them for anything and when I used them I didn't need audio notifications. There is also Macrodroid and Tasker (which Tasker I bought but I haven't really ever used so far). The first 3 offer free limited versions.
Steps to achieve this below:(((Update: New Iron Man Repulsor and Light Saber Sounds Added to Google Drive Link Below. Taking requests if anyone has more ideas they want for sounds.)))

Notes:
An Automate (free) flow would be something like:
Paid mod for Automate please. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
A year or two ago, i used automate. This worked brilliantly then.
This app can help. Good Luck !
Turning on mobile data requires a rooted device or using ADB, likely so do Wi-Fi hotspot, depending on Android version. In Automate such an automation flow may be as easy as:
1: Flow beginning block
2: Location at block
Y: Wi-Fi hotspot set state block
N: Mobile data set state block
Fully aware & heavily use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate for all sorts of things, but using automation for blitz is going to end up in a ban
I use Automate for this...
Try Automate (free) with an automation flow like:
Answering myself: didn't find anything so I sued Automate (link). Works perfectly.
They are all in the Play Store, or any of the alternatives.

app is Automate

Notes:
You could use Automate
> Automate allows you to monitor various activities on your phone and then respond to them. The catch-all method to accomplish what you want would be to create a simple loop of: if volume change -> set volume zero
> While that sounds easy enough, there are some pitfalls: multiple loops based on ringtone, notification, media, etc., and, depending on how your phone implements it, possible high battery drain.
Not sure if that's what you're after but worth a try.
Automate has an Wi-Fi hotspot set state block, use the Location at block to turn it on when at "home".
It might be possible with Automate, but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll give it a shot and update this post later.
It's likely going to be a dumb script though, just helping click buttons to launch Link.
Or Automate by LlamaLabs. I'm using this in a car telemetry project.
You could try Automate
Using Automate then something like this: screenshot
it will take a bit of learn how to use the features but start by downloading this free app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
you can then build a "thread" that will be triggered by a "call received" or "sms received" then add additional flow/general steps according to your specific logical conditions. for example if phone number = "555-555-5555", then set ringer to loud, then continue thread or play specific sound.
I'm not sure about doing it in python, but the app automate can do it. Link to it here.
It's pretty much a full programming language, albeit making a flowchart that executed. It can check if you've got an sd card mounted, and you could either have it do whatever you want, or have it call your python file
this possible with a free android app. it has a far more sophisticated logic engine and tremendous flexibility.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
dm if you want help.
Automate is an app from Llamalabs. Here is the Google Play page https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Automate has a similar interface.
Automate has an Key pressed block with can intercept volume button long-presses.
I'm using Automate to do stuff like this ! And this is much better if you're rooted !
Probably possible to automate uploads (even if they do not support it) for a lot of them if you are on Android (not sure about iPhone) with apps like Automate, Tasker & IFTTT. Galleries and sharing should be common features but you need to either make sure it is secure or host it isolated so that if it gets hacked it will not compromise your network.
Automate has the Interact block for simulating button clicks.
First download this application: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate Then download this flow for it: https://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/38265
If you guys needed more illustration or details, just get me informed. I'd make a video if needed.
i ended up using AutoMate to get this and some other things accomplished.
If you have an Android device, you can use an automation app like Automate to kludge a way to handle this. Use it to automatically set the volume to zero, start this independent Roku remote app, start the YT "channel," wait a few seconds for the sound to play, then restore volume to where it was.

then delete all the flows that comes by default
now import two flow which I am uploading
Try Automate if you have an android.
Ill update this comment with an example of how it can help you do this. I recorded myself setting it to play a sound when the app duolingo opens. It can be done to other apps though. If you're interested and need help I can try and help you create your flow for your apps.
I don't think for assistant routines, but if you use automate for things then it works for that
Instaliras ovu app, importas taj flow i pokrenes

Probaj si napraviti Automate skriptu. Ja sam ju koristi za Tele2, kod njih kad potrošiš prvo 5gb pa onda 2+ dobiješ poruku. App može skenirati poruke ili samo broj pošiljatelja. Neznam kako Tmob to radi
Ah da. Pogotovo kad napravis hotspot da brze skines igru na pc ili ps4. Pa ti dolazi takva poruka svakih par minuta.
Onda lijepo skines app i napravis automatski task kad dodje poruka s tog broja s navedenim sadrzajem da ti automatski odgovori.
Ako nekome treba task mogu poslat :D
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
If I didn't have Tasker, I think I would prefer Automate. I like the flowchart style of programming your automated actions.
Have you tried Automate ? If yes why do you think tasker is better ? Maybe i haven't explored tasker properly.
i dont know if you intend on using a phone app to do this but... have you tried some (android) automation app like automate? personally I never used it. but i know that it is possible to automatically open an app (like the one you are using) (and probably unlock the device screen) once your phone connects to your obd2 adapter.
You can use Automate to build a custom flow for sending the text message.
One of my old phones came with an app that does stuff like this, perform actions automatically based on time, GPS location, what network I connect to, etc.
I think this was it, or at least it sounds very similar:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en&gl=US
Using Automate. Search "wear os" in the automate community to see the example. Recommended for those who miss this feature from mi fit app
I've previously used Automate https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en_US
It has a function in it to spoof your address.
Checking on it, Twitch does seem to send notifications if someone follows you, so theoretically it should work. (I don't stream on Twitch, just watch stuff, so I can't actually confirm this.)
You'd make an IFTTT applet that is:
Then in Automate, give this flow a shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jwgvy71ekv3nhbu/Twitch%20Shock.flo?dl=0
It'll pop up a dialog asking for your IFTTT maker key, then it should work. Once you're familiar with Automate (I recommend fiddling with it, you can do so much and it meshes rather nicely with IFTTT webhooks) you can just delete the Dialog Block and hardcode the key in the right spot in the HTTP Block, really.
I admittedly had to guess a little what to put in the Notification Block because I don't know what the mobile notifications look like on Twitch. :> If I guessed wrong, you can tell me and I can tweak it, though honestly Automate's not too hard to figure out once you poke around a bit.
But what should happen rn is when you get a Twitch notification with the word "follower" in the title it'll ping the webhook, which in turn will activate the Pavlok action. And in my experience the webhook triggers are usually pretty speedy (I use a ton of them for different things).
to set it up is easy you just need to install this app start it click on more flows grant permission mb restart the flow and search for Summoners war and you will find my flow called "Summoners war auto-repeat" download it start it and grant the needed permissions if you wanna try it go for it ^^ you just need to edit the 3min delay so it fits for you
Try Automate, an example flow:
You should try automate https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Automate has an Interact touch block.
aah got you mate thanks :)

Ja sam si postavio za Tele2, Automate je aplikacija.
Dok dođe poruka da treba obnoviti paket, aplikacija ju detektira i pošalje poruku.
Hey folks, some of you asked me about (probably on my other account) how my KLCK still works on Android 10.
I used Automate and created a flow that detects when the screen is locked or the display is off, and then start the KLCK shortcut to load a preset. It works 99% of the time, except when you quickly turn on right after you turned off the screen.
Example: https://imgur.com/0lsyCwI
Download Automate on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
You can find the flow here: https://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/35194
With the Pixel Buds you can check the battery in the Bluetooth setting/headphone settings or in the Pixel Buds app. I'm sure you already know those ways.
There is an app that allows you to run custom programs/processes on an Android device which I assume you can use to create a custom notification and pin them permanently when active.
I would do this if there isn't a setting in the Pixel Bud app that will pin that as I haven't gotten mine yet so I can't help you there.
If you want to use the app and make a custom process I would make sure you have time to learn and properly know how to use it otherwise you can end up creating a loop and having to tweak it until it works. The loop or anything similar that you create isn't able to damage your device in any way if you know what your doing and do it in a controlled way but you shouldn't be able to do anything bad if you're only after a permanent notification and a reboot your device or force stoping the app would clear it up and all would be fine unless you somehow managed to let it change some settings.
That's why I can't caution you enough on doing this method only if you have time and effort to give, or you can wait for them to update the Buds and add that option or for someone else to find a way.
The app is Automate if you were wondering but just remember the only damage it would or could do is something you cause yourself and it cautions you about this as well so just read everything in there thoroughly if you use it.
> Remember that "1" message from Samsung? its a samsung service that had a security exploit not your specific phone
It was a rollout mistake by Samsung that only wet out on devices that had "Find my Phone" enabled. Getting notifications and having the device send its location is the entire point. If you don't like it you can easily opt-out. Yeah, it should be opt-in by design but then the feature becomes useless because 99% of users leave everything by default.
> Advanced customization, themes
See: Good Lock
> automation
See: Automate, hell even Tasker works fine without root
> improving battery life
Debatable, custom kernels can provide better battery life at the sacrifice of other things and even then the difference isn't huge. This is coming from someone who uses franco kernel on his OnePlus 3T and modded the crap out of his Nexus 5.
> improving the camera experience
GCam is easy to sideload and doesn't require root.
> Blocking ads and trackers
Adguard DNS / local VPN.
> Removing pre-installed bloatware especially with Samsung
You can remove them with ADB and disabling them is basically equivalent with the exception that they take up 500MB of your storage (the horror).
> and updates are a nightmare, the 2 major updates policy is crap
As is with every smartphone manufacturer? Also Samsung's software is, as you said, pretty feature-packed and has features that AOSP hasn't implemented yet so missing out on major updates isn't a big deal nowadays. Give me long-term security updates any day (which Samsung promises 4 years of for the S phones).
> If you're a basic user then Rooting and modding will probably make no sense to you, but it is helpful in lots of ways, it comes with its risks ofcourse but if you know what you're doing, it helps you extend the functionality of your phone beyond what it was originally capable of.
That's the one place I'll sort of agree with you. Modding a phone will extend its life, yes, although that only becomes a thing after said phone reaches its last update. Installing LineageOS is basically the only modding that I consider worthwhile nowadays and even rooting it can be a bit overkill considering how little you need root nowadays. Also consider the fact that mobile payments (and banking) is becoming more of a thing by the day and Google's changes to Safetynet will eventually make modded devices unable to work with those apps. IMO, that's a far bigger planned obsolescence issue than Samsung rolling out just 2 major Android updates.
There are a lot of things you cannot access with the normal app select. Here is a extremely useful method using AutoMate.
Flo link: https://s.amsu.ng/YgqJ8wUxiL3N (I will resend via request after it expires)

I hope this helps!
/u/Pigoath suggested a solution that works. There's a way using Automate and a script to have it automatically select "Start Now" each time you plug it into the computer. I use this since I'm always plugging and unplugging my phone throughout the day.
If you have a mouse plugged into the phone (using the USB A to C adapter that came with it) you can install Automate and the script. As a general warning, be wary of downloading and running scripts on your phone.

I've managed to create an Automate script that involves keys from 1 to 9 that auto-click talking options that are located on the left of the touchscreen. Adjusted that 1 taps first, 2 second etc. Tested up to 6. It works, it's clunky but it works.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate For the clicks the app requires to watch your screen as an accessibility permission, so I turn the script on only when I'm playing (so to avoid not wanted screen reads)
I'm not sure that IFTTT lets you change the location services on your device. You could try a different app like Automate perhaps?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
But you' ll have to figure that out by yourself 😅
If you've got something that will send alert texts from the sender. You could use Automate to perform actions on your phone based on the text received.
I've used it for a lost phone app. When receiving a text from a particular number, it checks the text for a code. If the code is in the text, it turns the volume up and sounds the ringtone until you stop it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Check out Automate kinda like scratch coding but it actually does something productive and there's a lot of shit to mess with.
For those on android: Automate can pretty much do anything you can already do, but do it for you in a "flow"
Try Automate, it can read and write NFC tags automatically, and automate most features on a device.
llama automate is an automation software. latest version got a system log block.
problem with standard logcatting is the issue is too sporadic to reproduce while ADBing so i relied on logcat extreme which did not go as expected (app closed by system and log empty). now i am expecting results.
quicksearchbox has absolute no permissions. i only have it installed because wearos and before it didnt crash.
You could get an Android phone or tablet, then get one of the automation apps available. Plug the charger into your switched outlet. Most of the apps can detect when a device starts charging (charger is plugged into power) and can also play music or a sound.
For example, with LlamaLab's Automate app, you have these "building blocks" available:
A possible gotcha is that maybe the battery won't get enough time to charge and could eventually drain down. If that's an alternative that's still easy and low-tech. Put the phone or tablet in an opaque box together with a night light. Plug the phone or tablet into an unswitched outlet (so it can charge) and the night light into a switched outlet, then use this other building block:
I don't use it: I created an Automate script to manage brightness for me: OwnBrightness
You could maybe build it in one of the automate apps, though probably with root. For instance Automate:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
I've seen a scheme there called Black Box that saves last 2 hours of audio - it could be a good starting point.
Tasker can do it, but its complicated. I use Automate for exactly this purpose!
Automate can turn off Bluetooth and wifi without root, but you'll need root to enable airplane mode, disable mobile data or disable NFC
Try Automate, it's a really nice IFTTT app. Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate I assume you're an android user.
Here is the actual phone program you talked about, I have made it myself:
https://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/28582
FIRST You need to download the Android app: Automate, here:

THEN open the link above WITH Automate Community.
Or go to the community (top right: 👥 icon) And search for:

you can set it by time for the trigger and it should work
https://ifttt.com/ and this App might help you
Ive used Automate for this very issue. You can set it to close the game at a certain time of day or after a certain amount of time.
Automate is free, just try it to see if fits your needs.
You want (As I understood) an automated task so you can try automating it using AutoMate: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Le you can tell that person not to bother...🤷
Automate is another app like IFTTT-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Do you have a link for the applet on IFTTT? I tried installing the one based on location, but it kept firing inaccurately.
I haven't used it for your particular use case, but I bet you could use Automate to do this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
With Automate (free) you could take a screenshot by Quick Settings tile click, Button/Key pressed (e.g. volume button long press), Accessibility button click, Assist request/button click, etc..
I use Automate, not Tasker (I'll give it a try though). I'll be glad to share any workflow if anyone asks.
Check out Automate, you would have to come up with the flow but it could probably do something like that. It's a little more user friendly than Tasker.

Daily extraction seems little bit complicated but in fact mi fit has hidden feature where you can extract data. https://photos.app.goo.gl/q1ACTvAhJGRtMQee6 The way The FunkSpunk mentioned Google fitness data take out looks easier to do daily extraction and maybe automate (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate) helps with you
You can use automation app like this to make a script that will disable bluetooth at night time.
A more advanced automation app may be able to do most of what you what, maybe try using Automate.
I had this problem some years ago and eventually gave up and switched to another automation tool called Automate which works almost flawlessly for connecting, detecting and disconnecting Bluetooth devices.
I don't know if any of the Tasker plugins has been updated and improved since then.
> but then again, normal people wont use this kinda app or jump the hoops to root. I've stopped using this app since 6.0 anyways.
Automate (previously called Llama) is easier to use and probably more accessible, but not nearly as powerful. It will readily handle the types of automation that the bulk of "normal people" may want to enable, like mini-macros for setting alarms, toggling settings, automating emails/messages. It's friendlier with it's flowchart style "programming", rather than Tasker's relatively confusing interface.
This app can be used to automate lots of thing on your phone. It can however get difficult to use depending on what you want to do.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Automate for Android (and r/AutomateUser)
I think it's the most useful app on my phone. If I want a tool or feature on my phone, I can usually do it myself or find someone who has done it and still be able to modify it to my preference. While there may be apps that do it for you it's still nice to have control over how it works without much knowledge of programming. And there's also a built in community to share and download flows.
It's easy enough to learn and surprisingly powerful. Best money I paid for an app. It also supports tasker plugins.
Note: You can use every feature it provides for free (no ads, completely safe) forever as long as it's under 30 running blocks (you'll know what that is from the store page) which is a decent amount. Premium (one time payment) just allows you to run as many as you want.
I've been thinking about this for a while...
I would really love to see is an app that supports really complex, custom workout structures.
Not really sure what would be the best way to go about implementing this, but I'm imagining some sort of graphical, draggable tiles representing workout objects and their conditional statements (e.g. if-then-else, loops etc).
Something like Automate (pic), but for workouts.
It should also allow importing workouts as CSV, JSON or whatever, by providing a template exposing all available variables.
I wanted to suggest Automate, but looks like it requires root for that specific task.
yes. I use an app called Automate that make it possible:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Not sure if Automate does the thing you are looking for, but IMO it's much more user-friendly than Tasker.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
It's worth to invest your time in learning something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
You could just set up an automate workflow
That's easy and can do much more.
Try Automate (free):
I see you're overwhelmed by Tasker, maybe try Automate? It's logic is different but it doesn't have as big of a community as Tasker (there is a G+ group).

You can use automate ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate ) and pass variables to the watchmaker plugin.
It's a workflow tasker. The best tasker I've ever seen. I'm already using it to pass bitcoin's price to my watch.
In the plugin block in automate you will write the variable name like this : %variable
And in watchmaker like this : {tvariable}
Now you can use lua conditioning like that : ({tvariable}>0) and "00ff00" or "ff0000"
BTW : 00ff00 = green, ff0000 = red. I used them as a result if true or false.
Now I just don't know how reactive watchmaker is regarding the refresh time of these variables. I know that automate is instantaneous. There is a block to detect when music is playing IIRC

Automate (free) can do it, but a rooted device is required:
>is there an easy way to read this barometer sensor data without needing to make an app or rely on someone else's?
This still relies on someone else's app but you can use Automate to create a "flow" that reads the barometer and writes it to a document by the push of a shortcut or notification.

Android doesn't allow apps to detect which finger was scanned. Since Android 8 app can detect swipe gestures on the fingerprint scanner. Use Automate with its Fingerprint gesture block to perform almost any action.

Tasker is far more powerful, though there are a few things Routines can do that it can't since it's a Samsung app.
There are other free automation apps if you don't want to pay for Tasker that are almost as powerful: Automate and MacroDroid are two of the more popular ones.
Automate has an AppOp mode set block.
Try Automate using the following block:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
Automate could help you do this, with a bit of a learning curve. You could make a flow that you activate manually, then every 1 or 2 minutes it would check if media is playing and if so, simulate a media button press to skip, then repeat until you cancel it.
Automate has an Interact touch block.
Easily made with Automate (free):
You might be able to do it yourself through the Automate App depending on how comfortable you are with mildly programming/scripting-like stuff. There is an "on app install" event but I'm not sure if it can distinguish games from other apps.
You also may be able to find another persons script on Automate that already does this, though I didn't find any at first glance.
I'm still on Nougat, so I haven't looked too hard into what apps offer the best Oreo fingerprint customization. But, from a quick look, it looks like mostly tap, double tap, and fast swipe. AutoMate gives you 4 directional swipes on Oreo, which is the best I'm seeing.
You can build it in AutoMate. Here's how I set it up, which allows me to start and stop from a shortcut tap. If you don't need that function, and are content with stopping the recording through the notification that appears while recording, you can use just the start recording block and link it directly to the flow beginning block.
Make sure you don't delete/alter the destination path folder (without also adjusting it in AutoMate) or it will fail to function.
Use Automate and its Assist request block to make the button do almost anything.
Automate likely has a flow for this. I use one to disable the popup for airplane mode, and another to disable the popup for high volume warning.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Install this app, then look into "More flows..." and search for Multi Auto-rotation. It's set to do what I said in my previous comment for some apps but you can modify that by editing the flow. It's tricky at first but totally worth to learn.
I do it with Automate and trigger it with gesture on Nova Laucher.
Install AutoMate, download this, and import it.
Open up the flow. Check that your fields match these and fill in the circled fields. Oh, and make sure all the boxes on the start/stop page are checked.
I got it working. Phone 1: Media button triggers record, media button ends record, posts to shared folder. Phone 2: Syncs shared folder, notification sounds, audio message auto plays. It's much quicker and plays automatically, even with the screen off.
It took awhile because AutoMate kept trying to pull a temp version of the file and Tasker's monitor seems to have a refresh rate (it could just be my incompetence, though), so I had to trigger a Tasker task with the AutoMate profile to get it to work without hiccups. You'll need AutoMate, Tasker, and a shared folder (I used SyncThing during testing).
Step 1: setup SyncThing on any phones that you want to be a part of the messaging. I used the generic music folder when testing, so just replace that with whatever dedicated folder you want. Use this folder only for the audio messages.
Step 2: create this task in Tasker.
Step 3: create this in AutoMate. Open up our previously created GMail flow and edit it (delete the GMail block and make sure your record block saves to the shared folder).
On any phone you want to have the ability to send audio messages, add the Audio Message flow to that phone. On any phone you want to receive audio messages on, add the Audio Message Receive flow (and the Tasker task). I tried to stick to AutoMate since Tasker isn't free, but I couldn't get past the error.
Try Automate with its USB tethering set state and Quick Settings tile show blocks.
Try Automate (free):
Automate, Automagic and Tasker have the same abilities, and can accomplish the same tasks. Automate and Automagic just has more of the "AutoPlug-in" features already built-in. I agree, your choice shoudn't be base on whether plug-ins are used or not, but the preferred way of creating automations, using flowcharts vs rule-based.
Automate has an Quick Settings tile show letting you do almost anything with QS tiles.
Try Automate (free), it has blocks for inter-device communication and to control audio/media players:
I created a little flow in Automate (free app) that would mute notifications for 5 seconds whenever Do Not Disturb mode was disabled. After 5 seconds it then unmutes the notification sound, by then all the sounds should have played out.
It still vibrates once when it un-mutes but it's better than a barrage of tones. If anyone can suggest how to get around this vibrate, please get in touch.
You can download the flow here: https://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/20780
N-am incercat dar exista aplicatii pe google play in care fac chiar treaba asta cu "if .. then..."etc
Exemplu :. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
Try Automate, it has a Power save mode set state block. A rooted device is required.
Try Automate with its Screen lock set state block. To do it every 5 minutes, use the Delay. No plug-in required.
You can build this in an automation app, which has the advantage of not requiring a data connection like Google's Find My Device.
Install AutoMate, download this, and import it. Select what tone you want to play. Turn it on (and check all the boxes) and you're done.
You could use an automation app (like AutoMate) to check Wi-Fi connection status overnight and reconnect if his phone disconnects. Or, schedule a mobile data state check (time of day or interval) and have a tone play/notification display to remind him to switch it off.
Try Automate, with its Media button block.
Automate
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
If you can't find any app that is exactly what you want, you could try Automate, a simple visual programming app. It's not specific for triggering notifications, but it supports the functionality and it's flexible enough to let you do it however you want. You can message me and I can help you "program" the reminders.
Why not making your own notification script with Automate? It is quite simple really:
And the app is free as long as you don't use more than 30 blocks in total.
Also, I have a friend that swears by Automate:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
I love Tasker but it's definitely not user friendly. I'm a programmer so it works for me. However, I've heard a lot of good things about Automate:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Check out Automate it's free and has lots of additional features.
Trying to automate Datally will be difficult. Try Automate, it has blocks to query app data usage and restrict background data for a particular app. However a rooted device is required.
You could try out the different settings in an automation app, create your own audio recorder, and see if it satisfies your needs. AutoMate is pictured, as it can do this without a purchase.
Automate has an Toast posted block.
Another option is AutoMate for block-based automation.
In the past I would have said something like AutoHotkey for Android, but relatively recently I found just what I wanted. An app called Automate which has tons of built in function for sensors, works with variables, and all that stuff you'd want for some basic if then else functionality that most apps are too simplified to give me.

I've used this app to solve a few issues in my own custom way rather than having to use an app that might not let me do exactly what I want how I want.
Tasker because it has more functionality. If you'd like to mess around with more complex automation apps before committing to paying, AutoMate and MacroDroid are free (with size limitations).
Try Automate (free) with its:
Try the QuickSettings tile show block in Automate
I prefer "Automate" - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Very easy to get going and more comprehensive than Tasker (and it can make use of Tasker plugins)
Try Automate. It's really easy to learn and use.
Automate has an AppOp mode set block.
The system DND settings allows you to add "Automatic rules" to toggle modes during specific times. If that's insufficient, use an automation app, like Automate with its Interruptions set block.
I use a program called "Automate, not "AutoMate - Car Dashboard" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
You could also try Automate
It's a bit more complex than Tasker, but it's great.
Would be easily accomplished with an automation app. Try Automate with its Device acceleration and Sound play or Tone Play blocks.
Automate has an Assist request block.
I don't have experience with any that I'd recommend, but if you are willing to comb through a bunch of bad apps to potentially find what you want, just search for things like secret camera, hidden camera, automatic camera, etc.
The way I'd do this would be an automation app (Tasker, Automate, AutoMagic, MacroDroid, etc). The options page for Automate.
elizabeth04 you can add that yourself. android automation
You could make a simple automation script using Automate, with its Sound level block and Audio record blocks.
Automate has a Airplane mode set state block. Rooted device required.
Automate has a Airplane mode set state block. Rooted device required.
Depends on what you mean with "class 0 message"? Notifications can be categorized, but they have no "class". See Category output variable in the Notification posted block, of Automate.
You should try Automate (Android). Similar concept to IFTTT but it utilizes a flowchart design and also can respond to events local to your phone ie: Bluetooth enabled/disabled, text recieved from certain numbers, wifi disconnected/connected, gyro sensor triggers, light sensor readings, etc.
Also each permission is installed independently as a module so you don't have to give it unlimited access to your phone.
Figuring out if this, or Automate's own <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate> and you get a neat combo.
NOTE: Remember to "put down/press" as well as "lift up/release" or you either just move where it will be, or you cannot interact with your screen anymore!!! (Automate's help even shows how to go into safe mode so look that up if needed. I think in the FAQ or something?)
BIGER NOTE: Take a screenshot of each part of your game's sections you want to automate touching and then, with the picture in a border-less full screen (you NEED the EXACT coordinates to be used, and if the picture gets the wrong dimensions, you might tap the wrong piece!!!), enable the "Show pointer/touch location/coordinates" in Developer Options of your Android OS (I forgot the exact name of that toggle), and tap or draw a little circle with one finger so when you lift it up, the coordinates overlaid on the screen will be the coordinates you need (for drag & drop aka. slide finger or swipe, you need the start as well as stop coordinates... maybe even "mid-points" if you must make a shape other than a line).
You can also purchase the IAP for Automate's Premium status (linked to the Google account you installed it under, so be sure that is the same one active under Google Play) to get Tasker integration as well... try with the Free constraints first, and note that it uses separate ""apps"" by the developer of Automate for its permission nodes, which having "Unknown Sources" enabled will have it install them from the .apk, otherwise from Google Play, which you can toggle to install from your chosen source and then toggle back)
I'm no link me bot but I'll share it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Automate has an Weather block.
not the one this guy and I want, but still, quite close though. if you want to automate a task, I suggest this
Automate has block for enabling Airplane mode, a rooted device is required.
Automate can show Quick Settings tiles and set screen orientation.

I think you can do this with apps like tasker and automate https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en

In Automate that would be using the Location at block with proceed "When changed", a.k.a OS provided geofencing.
Automate has lots of examples that do that: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/?q=intruder
If you're using Android, for complex automation I highly recommend Automate.
Quite a bit more prep in laying out a flowchart, but for processes with conditional logic, branches, loops and the like it's much easier than the alternatives.
Automate has a Process text selection block which can be used to create your own "manipulation".
IFTTT is mostly for automating remote web services, but lacks in local device capabilities. Tasker is the opposite. Automate is an alternative similar to Tasker but easier to understand and with some remote features.

Automate is limited how? It has the Location provider set state block that enables the GPS.
Automate has an Input method set block. A rooted device is required.
Automate has a Process text selection block which can be used to create your own "manipulation".
Automate has blocks to check and change the Interruptions (DND) setting.

Before I answer your question I need to clarify- are you talking about THIS automate? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
I'm using Automate to do this, but it requires root only for airplane mode.
The Android APIs has poor support for dual-SIM, only recently has it begun to improve (Nougat). Automate do support SIM/subscription selection for most of the related operations, but some will require a rooted device.

Since Tasker is not free, I used Automate and created two flows Kodi_Standalone & Kodi_chromecast They copy the playercorefactory from my download folder or delete it from the kodi folder according to the flow I launch. (You can create the two shorcuts on your homescreen by editing each flowchart and tap on the "Flow beginning", then "install homescreen shortcut".)
You will need to install Automate and download Kodi_Standalone & Kodi_chromecast flows in it. Once done, type to edit each flowchart and tap on the "Flow beginning", then "install homescreen shortcut". Now from your homescreen, you just need to tap the good shortcut, and it will launch Kodi ! Note that you need to have the playercorefactory.xml file in your download folder.
You might like Automate, a great app similar to Tasker. It's a little less internet services focused than IFTT and is more focused on the phone instead
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate Is this the one? Looks nice, thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.
Okay I checked and it seems that since Google never released Play Music API's that Sleep as Android can only bring up the playlists but cannot play them. You can copy the mp3s you downloaded and make a local playlist like OP said if you wish.
I also found another solution that I just tried out and it seems to work. I used an app called Automate and this script which will read your notifications to see when Sleep As Android alarm goes off and will play the most recent audio you were listening to, which means that you have to run GMP with the playlist you wish to use then leave it open while you sleep. When the SAA alarm goes off it will automatically resume what you were listening too.
This was just a quick google, so I assume there is other scripts out there written for apps like Automate and Tasker that allow you to resume play on something you were listening to with the default alarm app instead of using SAA.
Switching mobile data on/off requires a rooted device. Automate can do it with its Mobile data set state block. Linkme: Automate by LlamaLab
Automate
There are two Automate apps one is for the car and the other one is for automation of your android phone. I mean the latter.
It basically is like Tasker just for free (altough for more complicated things you need the pro version.
Using blocks you can create many automated tasks that run.
For example my phone vibrates when I plug out my headphones. (Good for watching certain videos)
Also I have a notification that, when I tap it, turns on/off GPS without having to hold the GPS quick setting, then going into the setting and setting it to High Accuracy or Energy saving.
Best app ever.

Enabling USB tethering requires a rooted device. A simple automation “flow” made with Automate could enable it automatically using the USB tethering set state block.
If your willing to try another automation app, Automate (free) has a built-in flow sharing community with lots of examples: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/
Most automation apps should be able to perform such task. Automate (free) has an Wi-Fi hotspot set state block, requires a rooted device. If unrooted, use the Interact block to tap the button in system settings.
Try Automate, it's similar to Automagic, but can be used without purchase.
Live camera: What if the data your are looking for is at the previous page? You will have to install an arm-robot to turn the page. Another solution would be to have a human assistant that will check the notes for you when away. What about a digital notebook? Whoops, it has a stylus...
A scenario closer to what you are willing to do: a camera that takes photos every X minutes of your notebook[1]. Make sure the photos a) are stored somewhere online[2] or b) are synced at your mobile[3]. This way you will have a complete archive with you - of course, you can delete the photos you don't like.
Short analysis: [1] You may use an old android phone with this application installed https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en . You can easily make a workflow to take pictures every X minutes [2] You may use https://pogoplug.com/ or one of the similar solutions out there [3] https://syncthing.net/ can do the magic
tl;dr Use an android mobile to photo your notes automatically and make sure you can access the archive online
I've been playing with Automate to see if I can pull some neat tricks like changing the colour temperature from cool white to warm when I dock my phone in the cradle on my bedside table at night.
LIFX seem to be pushing the Flic Bluetooth buttons, I guess they'd make a good substitute for a light switch but at USD$100 for four and still a month from shipping I'm willing to wait and see on that (or pull out an ESP8266 and amuse myself for a day or two building something).
Connecting "smart devices" to wifi is always a fun game. Looks from the documentation like once you've connected the first one the rest are significantly less work though?
Llama horribly out of date and uses so much battery, everyone should use Automate
Easy to learn, can do everything Llama can but much better and an online community that shares "flows" (the script-like things that does stuff for you). :)
Automate (free) is another automation app the can easily perform such tasks, here some example flows: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/?q=volume
I actually meant: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
But AutomateIt is another alternative.
Here's an Automate flow which add a few additional voice commands: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/479
Automate is another alternative: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Automate has a pretty extensive "template library" easily accessible from within the app, also available online at: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/
Automate has built-in blocks for (PushBullet style) cloud messaging. Messages can be sent from another device running Automate or any device capable of performing HTTP posts.
I used Tasker for a while but moved on to Automate, when Tasker would not reliably trigger for me and no one could explain what was going on. The UI on Automate is great. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
Simulating touch at an arbitrary point on screen do require a rooted device. But automating UI element taps on buttons and menus can be done without root. Try Automate it has an Interact block to do the latter.
Use Tasker or the easier to use Automate to do this.
I usually have something in place to alert me when the phone drops a certain %, when it finished charging, and when I plug it in (this is really useful in case for forgot to plug the cord back into the charger block itself).
It seems to be something that Automate could do.
Automate can replace lots of other utility apps.
Linkme: Automate
Most the automation apps you've listed can perform such a task, but root will be required for Android 4.3+ devices. Automate has a Airplane mode set state block.
I would use Automate to do this, and respond to either NFC (supposing my phone had NFC), the accelerometer (automatic based on speed, but not running gps and draining the battery), or by voice control (still not quite manually pushing the 'run' button, but still a form of manual execution).
EDIT: Actually it'd likely be better on battery to check the bluetooth power state, then check if connected to the device, then take actions if both nested ifs are true; such a check would be marginal cpu usage, and not invoke any hardware (even the accelerometer would take more power to run than this, even checking every 10 minutes); would be slightly more "automatic" than manual voice control to 'start' the flow.
Google Now doesn't understand voice command to control the media player. Here's an Automate flow that adds some:
Why not Automate stuff:
Oh bot, we're talking about another Automate.
You can use Automate, which is like Tasker but free, simpler, with less functionality. There is a "Turn Device Off" function.
You need to be rooted.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate
Automate can kill apps using its App kill block. A rooted device is required.
Try an automation app like Automate: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/?q=wifi
Automate has built-in support for both NFC and UI automation, no plug-ins or purchase required.
Linkme: Automate
Just for fun, here's an Automate flow for it:
Um... I wonder how this will all play out.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate&hl=en
Try Automate, it has built-in support for both Google Now voice commands and sending Wake-on-LAN packets.
It can easily be accomplished with Automate using its Battery level and Power save mode set state blocks.
Link me: Automate
Automate has a Wi-Fi connected block and Cell site near block.
You can use Automate, it has a built-in Interact block for UI automation, no purchase or plug-in required.
Anyone checking out Automagic should also have a look at Automate. It also uses flowcharts but a) it's free, and b) it looks better. But I haven't fully explored it to see its limitations yet.
Here's an Automate flow for showing the power menu, no root required, but Android 5+ is: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/468
No monies, try Automate instead.
Automate can easily do this, no plug-ins required, but root is. See the Airplane mode set state block.
Here’s a flow for Automate (free) which reduces the audio volume when a headset is plugged-in: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/405
You can check out what users are doing with Automate on its flow sharing community: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/
If you have a rooted device, try Automate, it has a block to control the Attention Light.
Automate is another option, and it's free.
There's no way of controlling the brightness of the flash LED, i don't think the hardware supports that. Try Automate, it can toggle the flashlight and even the attention light if you have a rooted device.
Instead of trying to find a specific app, try Automate and make it yourself. It's an automation app like Tasker, but even more powerful.
No, if you want something similar, which also use flowcharts, try Automate, it's free.
Try the Screen brightness set block block in Automate (free).
Automate has a blocks for speech recognition and Google Now integration.
But if you don't need an complete automation app try Utter! or Commandr.
Automate is good, free alternative to Tasker and Automagic.
Such specific requirements can probably only be fulfilled with an automation, try Automate, it's free.
Try Automate.
Try Automate, it can easily make HTTP requests. If the service you wish to query supports webhooks, use the Cloud message feature.
The Automate flow likely looked like this:
Flow beginning | +->+ |App in foreground --+ | | | |Audio volume set Audio volume set +--+-----------------+
Also, if looking for another pay-once to go with Tasker, try Automate <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.llamalab.automate>. Using it for free has a few limitations (one of those being no Tasker integration if you have not paid for "Premium"), yet the only In-app purchase you get links to the Google Account it was installed under (which you should have as the active Google Play account when purchasing it to avoid conflicts).
I have both Tasker and Automate (paid for the IAP to get "Premium", unlocking the unlimited code blocks at once thing) and if I ever need to, I can utilize both together through a required permission to run Tasker tasks, etc. that is in one of its "Permission" ""apps"". These ""apps"" allows a user to only have what permissions they want to use installed, just make sure to disable "Unknown Sources" if / when you want to get the permissions through Google Play instead of the app's built-in apk files (or enable "Unknown Sources" if you don't want them through Google Play) and you can change "Unknown Sources" back to what you want after you get the permissions.
Bonus to the developer of this as I can use the Premium status I already bought before I even get online! If I ever need access to something that only Tasker or Automate has, I just need them to communicate (easier said than done as I need a code wrapper... Intent Task or something?).
... I just wonder what I did on my phone to goof up and break access to the community thing where one can download as well as upload their own creations.
Tasker has a 7-day trial version you can download: http://tasker.dinglisch.net/dl
Or, try Automate (free), it's another automation app, without a time limited trial.
It can be done using Automate, it has control blocks for device is docked, current foreground app and forcing screen orientation.
Here’s (untested) automation flow which should do it: http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/408
Why not try Automate instead, no purchase needed. It has a built-in and online community to share automations.
Automate
It's just like tasker, and it's even compatible with tasker plugins, but it has a fenomenal interface. I use it alongside Zooper widget to design widgets for my "programs"
Vi night unlimited plans are such vfm. Learn how toautomate on android and you can start your schedule your downloads to start at 12:05 and end at 5:55. I was able to download 95+ gbs a night. But I imagine most people here already have a fiber connection at home. Which makes what I said a mooo point. Like a cow's opinion. Nobody cares about those.
