You would need a lot of money for this kind of app, not sure if it's feasible.
Nice ideas though.
This sounds similar to the android app called "Squid" formerly ("Papyrus").
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steadfastinnovation.android.projectpapyrus
Just search Squid on the play store it should be the first one. The images don't do it justice, but it does have infinite pages lined, gridded, or blank. Or if you don't want infinite you can have a set size. It uses vector graphics so it wont pixelate when you zoom in.
I used this extensively in university and still do in my day to day life to take notes, write ideas (and expand on them).
I have created an App, which comes pretty close to what you want. It's out for beta testing.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sirajinhoapp.honeyspot
How it works:
If anyone whats to test the app, please send your email to me (app site bottom email link), and I will happily add you to the beta-testers. Btw thanks for the name suggestion JustAnotherJerry1
Unfortunately cameras aren't the best way to pick colors because color shades can easily change depending upon the lighting and shadows and even angles. So this won't be much accurate.
However there is a few apps which might be close enough to do this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.loomatix.colorgrab&hl=en
OK /u/divron94. This is my take on your idea: Instant Discounter.
I knocked it out in a couple of hours this afternoon after I'd finished a different project. It was rejected on first submission as it mentioned 'Best Buy' in the description, but all sorted now. I've done some limited testing on my own device & it seems to work pretty well. YMMV.
This is the first release - there are no preferences for the buttons yet - I will probably add that when I look at it again next week.
This exists and simply uses the touch screen as the mouse. I use it all the time. It's called Unified Remote and lets you type on the computer using your phone's keyboard, change the volume with your phone volume buttons, and has numerous other "remote" functionalities.
In India we have a similar app called Neta
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.netaapp&hl=en_IN&gl=US
Hi,
You can use IFTTT for that. IFTTT stands for If That Then That, it allow to connect multiple services together.
For example, you can connect to Reddit, then Pocket and use the applet that transfers all saved Reddit posts to Pocket.
If you are looking for something basic to improve your logic or to cover the essentials of the programming language / framework you are using you should always consider: - Todo App (Remove on click) - Complex Todo App (Show tabs of removed, bring back to initial list...) - RSS reader - Stopwatch - Music player (android & ios) - Your own portfolio
A bit advanced: - Tic Tac Toe - Simon says
Advanced (Backend & Frontend) - Social network (registration, friends, submitting an article, auth routes...) - Uber clone - Basically any cool app
You can also find lots of practices on google, here is something I found: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/want-make-iphone-apps-6-projects-beginners/
I will now shamelessly plug my own app to see how simple it can be and still look good: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.swipefeed.android
it is a bit advanced RSS reader
You can use Muzei with an Instagram plugin
Well I guess the thing most people do when they need image recognition is to just toss it into machine learning, a tool you could use for that is ML Kit. For the pokemon information, you could use this pokedex api.
I've made a bookmarklet for this: http://jsbin.com/wixek/1/edit
The bookmarklet takes the current url and redirects to a Reddit search for that URL.
Source is on GitHub: https://gist.github.com/rmlewisuk/91dee4a67b3eddabb965
Hope this helps.
Are you proposing something like TalkLife ? I guess there are some other apps where you can talk with therapists by paying a certain amount
Hi there, I actually already made an alternative with a better UI and actually functioning App unlike Likee etc. It's available here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thilojaeggi.frooze
I have made this, which have a similar functionality in the last section
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eb91.ares.memos it's oly for android
Here is some app for runners, that can generate random routes: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tialawl.routerunner
I've now after many hours of hard work finally released the app!
It's called Recharge Reminder. Please check it out if have been looking for an app just like this.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rechargereminder
Edit: It's only available on Android.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.babykangaroo.android.elected
It doesn't have the rating aspect. That would require backend support that I'm not equipped for. It does include contact info and social media links. Please let me know what you think.
hello, so I saw this post, and made it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wordpress.mariaanko.fbsharer sadly, the only possible thing is to post links only...there's no way to post images :( FB API does not allow that without an app...a pizza would be fine :D
Its for Android. Currently in the process of rebranding, refactoring and re-releasing, but the older version can be found here: Play Store
Password protecting the shutdown command seems quite possible.
Battery comes inbuilt in most of the phones. Also, long pressing the power off key ~~poweroff~~ restarts the device.
I've made an app for tracking groceries in your household with recipes that automatically remove items from your list and ability to make your shopping list either automatically based on recipes you want to make and current state of your home groceries supplies or manualy selecting how much of what you need.. There are categories and stuff, too..
Cons: Not shared between users, and I would like to be able to share recipes and to get recipe suggestions based on your current supply..
I am planning to work on this app eventually, and even tho it is on play store it's not as polished as I would like it to be, but you can give it a shoot!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.theminimalismhub.groceries
Sorry to dissapoint, but there is already an app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.app.bootz
But dont be afraid to make another one!
there are a ton of such conversational bots nowadays, and my personal favorite is ifriend, here's the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifriend.app&hl=en&gl=US
if you're looking for a supportive bot to chat with when you don't feel like talking to your real friends, it can be a good solution
> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fusion.royale&hl=en_IN&gl=US
Looks good, what kind of money did it bring in? I know some simple apps on the App Store that make a few hundred each month, so maybe $3K total?
I made one called Closer. So far I have yet to see someone suggest a local social app that has something different from all the failed ones.
Funny enough; I also made a similar app but I also suck at marketing.
I think both of our apps are different in their own rights, though; maybe it would be worth combining?
Please reach out if you have any thoughts on this; mine's just sitting dead in the water, and it may work to both our benefit for a combination :)
It sounds simple, but there are a lot of groups on Meetup.com that could be ideal. I would also look into your local startup community. Most major metro areas have them, and a lot of smaller cities do as well. Shoot me a direct message if you've got any specific questions, I may be able to assist.
I happened to be exploring an idea like that. https://www.slideshare.net/samwize/enhance-offline-experience
There is a lack of a digital means to engage with DJs. Other than song requests, it will be nice to tip them for a good job.
There is an app called "time arrow" that has the "how much time you have left" feature with possibilities to add Life-Events on it.
Has a clock style for your life, the current day, week, month and year.
It's here the main function is that you can tap anywhere on the map and start talking there, and then other users around there will get a notification to start chatting.
If you want to support this idea to become a fully working app, please subscribe for updates on my ProductHunt upcoming page:
https://www.producthunt.com/upcoming/actwize-io-next-gen-task-management
Thanks!
Coincidence enough that i made an app that does this just this ExplorApp is used for socializing word of mouth. Make a list of places you recommend and share it with your friends. Next time you travel see where your friends have been and find local events and recommendations. Having a hard time figuring out how to promote
I think Matrix has the potential of doing that in the (long) future. It has a few points in the checklist in my email replacer checklist.
Vault doesn't seem fitting for something like social media. And even if it were, it states "Protect sensitive data with centralized key management". "centralized" being the keyword.
Better options would be something like Matrix:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rkr87.dicethronecompanionv3&pageId=none
It's been abandoned for awhile so it's received a few low ratings as users want updates, when I was maintaining it had an average rating of 4.8.
I have created a similar app a while ago for myself:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.idevem.kneat
Back then, I thoguht that I am the only one who needs that. I have never promoted or monetized it and I know there are things to improve. Maybe you could use it to get some inspiration.
Might be not visible cuz it is in early access still Here's the link :) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.levinzonr.studypad
I spent half a year, give it or take of few months. No funding as well except my time and a few dollars to keep the database running ( I did all the parts myself, that includes design, Android App an backend)
Ahh got it. Reminds me a bit of peek: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/peek-9 They had a nice producthunt launch 🚀 don’t know how it ended up. Think it will be hard to solve the chicken egg problem at the beginning. Any ideas so far?
Yeah, there's actually an online map here.
No idea how easy it is to tie into, but the whole project is open source, if that matters.
Right now, the only real guidelines are "No flying within 5 miles of an airport, no flying in NPS parks, and no flying near or over military bases".
This doesn't help you too much right now, but I strongly suggest keeping a little idea notebook that you can write in whenever an idea comes to you. It doesn't have to be a literal notebook, it can be a list you keep using your phone's default notes app. You never know when it will come in handy :)
If you are still looking for an idea, make a simple application and encapsulate it in Docker. Docker is a fantastic technology and lots of fun to learn!
There are tools that already extract dominant colors from images: https://hexcolor.co/image-to-colors
In terms of one that helps you with painting, it seems feasible to write a version of this that would then point to the colors where they are most dominant in the image.
Shadows gets a bit trickier - there are definitely algorithms that enhance or change shadows (Adobe Lightroom for example) so the software is out there. Seems like you would be needing to combine all of these features into one single purpose.
I actually had this exact requirement and came across STAMP. It's pretty decent, but is a paid app. I copied a bunch of Spotify playlists to Google Music with some good success and it supports Youtube and other platforms too.
We already have cameras that can recognize, record, and interpret license plates. It's only a matter of setting up the technology to recognize and read road signs. Once this is done and fed to a computer the possibilities are endless.
Google is on this already: http://questvisual.com/
I'd disagree that user agreement for any software is an important "legal contract".
In addition, if any software just added "you agree to sign your life away, etc." anywhere in the middle, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't actually stand in any court precisely because of the reason that no one reads it and also it's completely nonsense and has nothing to do with that software. Tho I'm not a lawyer, it's just my guess.
But for actually knowing better what you agree to, you can try https://tosdr.org/
I forgot about Aegis, this app is open source and also offers backing up your passwords to the cloud service of your choice:
> To make sure you will never lose access to your online accounts, Aegis Authenticator can create automatic backups of the vault to a location of your choosing. If your cloud provider supports the Storage Access Framework of Android (like Nextcloud does), it can even create automatic backups to the cloud. Creating manual exports of the vault is also supported.
I’d recommend cross platform, first because it’s cross platform obviously stops your from writing multiple of the same app, but also because the main benefits of native swift/Java is better access to native features like gyroscope which you won’t need for this app, better performance which again isn’t needed for this, and a lot of cross platform tools are designed to make developing an app as simple as possible while (IMO) native can be really tricky. I’d check out https://cordova.apache.org, or maybe even bubble.io and convert it to an app.
It's a good idea. Around here people seem to mostly use the neighborhood website NextDoor for that. They have an app and a lost and found section: https://nextdoor.com/lost_and_found/
Hello, some subreddits already do that pretty well, also there are Indiehackers, ProductHunt, etc... not sure why the app format would bring more on the table
>What languages would you use to create this?
The back-end could be written with a decentralized technology such as Ethereum, or maybe something not completely decentralized like Matrix.org. I don't really have idea, just the language that fit the best this project
>Have you thought about how you're going to manage aged business ventures (people starting a business on your application to test it out for instance then no longer using it?) A lot of aged business ventures will put users off as they will want fast response times, not to question if they will have any results at all.
I can't understand this argument, can you please do an example?
>Security - if you can just copy someone else's template what's to keep their business venture unique? Can they prevent others from copying their template?
That's the idea, copying a template is the main process of this application. "You are a driver with this parameters? I like it, I'll do it too."
>I think if this was possible to create, it would be useful. But as you said, a lot of unknown parameters.
I also have several doubts about it, that's why I've made this post, so other developers could give me suggestions ;) Thanks for the reply
I have been to a few international conferences lately where https://padlet.com/ was used for this same reason. If I recall it correctly, you can even post as an anonymous user, so that even if you are super-shy you can ask questions.
To search in your files, you could probably use windows powertoys or Wox : https://github.com/Wox-launcher/Wox
For articles on the web, I use Pocket which can save and sync through all the platforms.
Finally, I use a note taking app (or a mind map app) to save what I would need later. My favorite one is Trilium which is open source : https://github.com/zadam/trilium
Obviously, it's not ideal, but it does the job.
Not sure where the comment is but you can find l more info about the app at https://ifttt.com/wtf
Like I said before, I don't think you can do what you mentioned on iOS because the app doesn't have access to the device volume since it is a hardware switch. It should be easy on android though.
This is only cursorily related, but if you're interested in birthdays and statistics and apps, I had made an Alexa skill called "Celebrity Birthday Party" to prove out the answer to the question, "How many people can you get in a room before two of them have the same birthday?" Hint, the answer is not anywhere near 365 :)
What you do is start naming celebrities (living or dead) and I have Alexa look them up using a Wikipedia type API, and report back their birthday. You eventually lose when two people have the same birthday. I've gotten into the 20's but that's about it. (The problem with the game ends up being one of monotony, it's hard to keep a speech only game going that long.)

> The habit forest app is an application that helps you create habits and continue to keep them.
> If you keep the goal for your habits for a long time, the trees of the habit forest will grow, little by little.
> By planting teeny-tiny seeds in the ground, I create the habit that I need; and by repeating and achieving my habits like watering teeny-tiny seeds every day, the seeds will grow into large trees that will sprout and create shade for everyone.
> The habit forest app is an application that helps you create and manage new habits of your own.
Not sure what app is you are talking about, I found this on Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sh.whisper
If this is what you are talking then, I think my app would be a little bit better as this does not seems to be what I have in mind. This idea may not seem original but I really want to do something unique, beautiful that works.
This app basically connects random two person together automatically and date ends after one day , cant be disconnected in between, and next day same thing happens again.
I had the same but instead of 10 only 1 (you choose boys or girls) idea few days ago, and took the effort to code it down
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nooworldapps.one_day_dates
i was excited about the idea but no one downloads it , and i am not sure how to promote it.
I added shared goals to my local social app, I think it covers everything except the suggesting people part.
You can check it and tell me if it works for your usecase:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=closer.vlllage.com.closer
Just found another one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.meettheo.theo
Man this has been done so many times, but never a good UI or gains enough people 😟
Hey, i made this a while back. I have a whole list of features to add to this, and I'm pretty sure I'll never have the time. Let me know if this seems interesting and we can talk about you either re-writing from scratch or even starting with existing code.

Hello, I had a startup with a similar idea, the only addition was that it involved swapping.
We failed to raise money for it if we were in the US we could do it. Since we are in Europe it was super hard for us to get venture capital money.
We made an MVP, but we would need at least a year and a few million to make it work to the level that it's usable. The biggest issue is the chain reaction with people who want something. For example, you can have more people in a chain that you get your item, increases the chance that you will get the item.
Here is the Android version, iOs version was removed since we didn't renew the subscription.
I just released an update to include quests in Closer yesterday you might want to check out. In short:
Hey! Incidentally I did another search and I guess I wrote just the right thing to find something that fulfils all the specs- its here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abinavbaskar.trickshott_release
This app seems to do what you are asking for: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dailyroads.v&hl=en_US
I'am currently looking for ideas for my recently beta-released finance planner app (Android) and this sounds like a very interesting use case! Thanks for sharing: it's now on my list.
If you want to follow: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kokoschka.michael.financeplanner
What do you think of this? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.schoolmint.hero
Could you give some more specific examples of an 'interval', 'duration' or 'number of occurrences' track. I guess 'interval' is like 'every 15 minutes record if the student has been disruptive' and 'duration' is like 'how long were they disruptive in the class'?
I built skill exchange into an app I made, but it's location based and meant for real life sharing and only active in Austin, Texas right now (not that it can't be used anywhere.)
An app close to what you want is : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.achandaw.wordly
Disclaimer: I developed this application. It is available for free.
Hi Edo619, its out now. I now the UI isn't as good as I want it to be, but it's an early version. It will improve in future releases. Let me know if you have any suggestions. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=peakvalleytech.randi
We built this as a college startup about 2 years ago, we have a website and an app, although I don't think anybody is actively maintaining it now.
The person can recommend movies, books, articles, tv series, videos. You can also play the music videos in the app itself. Here's the link:
while was searching for ideas to improve my skills, i found your app few days ago and built it in a fast way. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dangilo.toin . Any thoughts? (actually only for Android at this moment, because a Apple Developer account was to expensive for me ;))
There is "HighFiveFriending", where you talk 1-to-1 with a stranger for 5 minutes and then switch on to another random stranger. The random pairing with a stranger is via the app.
I have tried it several times in Lisboa and it's a great way to meet new friends. It seems much like what you are suggesting.
This already exists(in WhatsApp, Viber, Signal and the such) with Wasavi.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rocknnull.wasavi
Sounds like Replika. I don't think it's specifically for depression but it does feature an ai chatbot you can chat with. I'll be honest it got boring very quick for me but I haven't used it in ages so maybe it's improved since.
I've thought about that for a while too but am too depressed to actually go through with making anything (hah..).
The app "Up!" is a good example of mood tracking leading to behaviour and thoughts being documented, so I suggest you check it out for inspiration.
This is similar to what you are looking for https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eb91.ares.memos it's oly for android
that's the app I made :D pretty simple with recycler views and ads stuff... on a Turkish season based on real history: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alameen.dell.ertugrul01&rdid=com.alameen.dell.ertugrul01&pli=1
I've been working on a product like that, without the nationalities though after I moved to a new place and never knew any expat or professional in the area to get tasks done. Find it here .Any one who can contribute ideas to improve it is welcome.
I'm working on one currently. Can definitely add you to the testing group if you want it for free. It's currently capturing when you get things right and wrong but I have yet to expose that in some sort of graph view where you could see your memory ability over time.
A couple of friends of mine used this app one night to do something similar. Might be worth to check it out for a second. The app is quite ugly and outdated though.
I made Space launch times to do this, you can view every space launch in the current month from all space agencies, it have a link for more info about the rockets and its mission, if you have any ideas to make this better please tell me.
Go to android play store and search for "Nothing". Looks at downloads, price and reviews. Here's one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gorro.nothing
This type of shit can only fly on play store. Apple will boot your out forever if you submit this stuff.
Game like that already exist: PAPERAMA https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fdgentertainment.paperama&hl=sr
Hey /u/LactoseGalaxy I've made and published this on the Google play store for android. It asks for your cars MPG and then you click start at the start of, and end at the end of, your journey. The distance between these two points is calculated and reflected against the cars MPG. Hope you like it. This is only the third app i've published so might not be perfect
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hailzy.stepsaver
You jist described Fabulous. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.thefabulous.app
I believe there is also an iOS app if you wanted to try it out. It has a section for motivation amd everything. I use it on a daily basis.
You should be able to use the Android Pay for this. You can scan your cards into the system. So long as they have a barcode. Just make sure the resolution on your screen is good enough for you to scan it back off of.

I made an app for me to time my meals throughout the day. Its on the android store as Meal Timer. Lets you set a specific interval and end time. It tells you to eat but you can just use it to take breaks XD
I actually made a similar game a while ago. It's not counting clicks, but counting how long you stay pressing on the screen. It's called Timeout: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rc.longpress
You might want to look at UNF Pathfinder https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.twosquared.unfpathfinder&hl=en as a potential template. It was a school project implementing A* search for shortest path between a set of doors in one building and another. we haven't updated or supported it because it was a group class project but it's probably a good Minimum Viable Product
Well since it's possible on websites like this one I think an app should be able to do that aswell
Edit: I've just seen they even made an app for their service. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.freeyourmusic.stamp
This app from Barcelona's townhall has a predictive map with 48h of data based on historical data.
I think it has live feed of data too.
On the other hand, you could brush up on your mental maths :) This one's mine but there are others, some are better I have to admit, but I'm working on upgrades. Search mental maths or vedic maths on the play store.

Bands in Town App does this:

I also made an app using their API. Never published it as it was just a learning project.
