Well there is something similar. While it is not realtime the app plantnet lets you take a photo of a plant(leaves, flowers or overall appearance) and compares it to thousands of pictures from plants and gives you suggestions for what the plant may be with pictures to verify it yourself.
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/plantnet/id600547573?mt=8
Seems to have some competitors with better ratings though.
I've used Google goggles in the past for image search and it sometimes helps, but usually not. Will try this tomorrow!
I have been dabbling with Pl@ntnet recently - works well for IDs generally, not necessarily succulents but great with general flowers etc. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet&hl=en_GB
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet
I like this app because it gives a couple options as to what it could be with pictures and descriptions so you can better decide for yourself
When I walk trails with my cousin (8 y/o) we look up the plants we find with Pl@ntnet and birds with Merlin. It's the same kind of treasure-hunt feeling but with less impact on the environment.
Plus you learn a lot! My cousin texted me the other day all excited, because she found an endangered pink lady's-slipper plant in the woods and got to report it to the park rangers. It hadn't even bloomed yet, she recognized it just from the leaves.
I have an app on the phone called PlantNet which lets you take photos of the flowers / leaves etc and tries to tell you what it looks like. Might help a little bit.

Plant net app is so neat, you can upload pics/screenshots and it tells you what the plant is😀 (i am sadly not some genius of plantlife. Haha)
Uso dos para identificar plantas
PlantNet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet
PlantSnap https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fws.plantsnap2
I've looked for something like this and never found something both convenient and thorough. I just downloaded this PlantNet app.. haven't tried it though. One sec, I'll try it on my window flowers.
Edit: it figured out columbine and pansy, not bad.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet&hl=en&gl=US
Try this app OP, it's really cool
https://identify.plantnet.org/canada/observations/1010607619 From observation and imputing your photos into the PlantNet app it is a cherry tree, specifically cherry plum.
(This is a link to the app)
Catnip should have a square stem too. It's a nice pollinator plant, like pretty much all the mint family plants!
Use one of those gardening ID plants apps, I personally use Plantnet.
Very curious to get the answer on Mystery Plant...
I use this app that not only identifies plants, trees and flowers, it also provides data for scientists to track and manage dangerous invasive species!
I only have the Google playstore (sorry), but the name of the app is PlantNet Plant Identification
I highly recommend using a plant ID app (I'm sure there's an iOS equivalent) for your phone if you're not sure. Could be lifesaving!
I installed this app a little while ago to help me identify some weeds and other plants in my yard and it worked really well.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet&hl=en
If you're on Android, I had some good luck using this app for identification:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet
I've used it for flowers with success.. I haven't tried shrubs and leaves.
Get this, go outside, take some pictures of stuff, and check the linked wikis. You'll soon find things that are edible or not edible.
Don't eat anything unless you're 100% sure what it is! You'll want to just get comfortable identifying things for a while. Get a magnifying glass, or even a microscope, if you're industrious.
van telefonos app, elég jó hatékonysággal működik. hátránya, h angol nyelvű+latin növénynév lesz. lehet passzívan is használni, ie mindent lefotózol, majd wifin vereted otthon.
About the only plant app I ever really use is PlantNet. I find it kind of fun if I come across a plant I'm not entirely sure about, I can take some pictures and end up with a better idea of what it is. You can also scroll through submission and maybe see plants you didn't know about.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet&hl=en\_US&gl=US&pli=1
I have heard about lots of other plant apps, which I am sure can do largely the same thing, but I noticed a lot of them have some paid element to them. I liked this one because it was open source community project in the name of science

It uses neural nets and has a high success rate.
there are many apps that u can id most plants with fyi
the one i used b4 worked well
Zum Identifizieren von Pflanzen kann ich Plantnet
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet&gl=US
empfehlen.
Also, on Android, there's the (free) PlantNet app. It's done very well on the half-a-dozen or so times I've used it.
Uh, looks like I used PlanetNet and... Picture Insect - Bug Identifier. Both are Android/Play Store, though I'd assume that if these exact apps don't exist on Apple's as well, then some other functionally identical ones do.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet
There's a cool app on Android (probably available for iOS) that identifies plants based on a photo.
There's several but I use PlantNet because it's free. I wouldn't say it's saved me because I don't eat random berries, but I did eat some after finding out what it was.
I found some of these American beautyberries while I was out walking and tried a few of them after the app told me what they were.
Really cool app.
I'd have to wander by and look for myself to take a guess, but given the increase of ticks on top of plants that can cause irritation - I strongly recommend pants and if no boots, tucked into socks if you're walking off trail amongst taller plants.
Also, maybe try a plant identifier app if you have a capable device?
I only get to walk in nature 3 times in the year due to my job in the city.
I'd say the walking simulator sounds fantastic for those who very little time. It also spares you the walk to get back home when you're fed up haha. However the thing I'd miss about walking in reality is the possibility of identifying plants to know their uses with app PlantNet
There's an app called PlantNet that's very handy for this sort of thing too. I saw the same flowers in your picture the other day and took a picture and loaded then into the app and it told me exactly what they were in seconds.
There's multiple apps, but my favorite is PlantNet. I know poison ivy and poison oak, but that's about it. So it's nice to just take a picture of something have have the app tell you what it is.
Though I'm not trying to survival situation myself and learn what bark I can chew on. But in theory, this should be able to tell you, I think?
I have an app on my phone, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet
used it to help id plants but also you can take pictures of your own and create a gallery/inventory of your own plants.
haven't used it that way yet but I might start since your suggestion.
Interessante. Vou testar aqui.
Valeu!
I liked Plantnet to identify veggies on the go:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.plantnet&hl=en_CA
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/plantnet/id600547573?mt=8
Combined with iNaturalist (which I just dl'ed), YOU'LL BE UNSTOPPABLE.
Oh, and there is also a couple Android apps that do this, but they're not as good as iNaturalist either. I tried this same photo on Pl@ntNet, for example, and it suggested all sorts of seemingly random stuff like a locust, a sweetgum, and some white oaks, but not scarlet oak or any other red oak.
