The NYT has a huge collection of pics from marches across America and around the world. In Washington the turnout was bigger than for Trump's inaugration, believe me.
Unlikely.
The piers were designed to support a static load of perhaps 60 tons or 60,000 kg, with a much smaller dynamic load of people/cyclists/etc using it.
https://www.scribd.com/document/244933181/Cloverdale-Footbridge
An LRT vehicle weighs something on the order of 40 tons. Three LRT vehicles per train = 120 tons. Two trains passing each other = 240 tons. Let's say each train car holds 100 people at 75 kg each, or 7500 kg or 7.5 tons. That's another 45 tons of passengers for those six train cars.
http://modernstreetcar.org/pdf/Streetcar_DataSheet_LR%20sm.pdf
The weight of the bridge spans themselves, capable of supporting two LRT trains, will almost certainly exceed the 60 tons of material required to support pedestrians and cyclists. And in addition, the new bridge would still need to include a foot bridge. But let's use 2 * 60 tons as a conservative number for the total bridge surface material.
A pier would thus need to support 240+45+60+60=400 tons, with a safety margin of some 50-150% to account for snow. Let's say the original piers were overbuilt with a safety margin of 300% for some unusual reason, meaning they'd actually support 180+ tons. That's still not sufficient to support the new line under normal operating conditions.
Even if the above estimates are out by 100%, i.e., two trains passing each other would only weigh 200 tons in total plus the weight of bridge material, that's still more than twice the mass that the footbridge was likely designed to carry under normal circumstances.
CYEG December 12 (-44°C) December 13 (-46°C)
I apologise for the "December 14, 2009". Looks like the temperature was actually recorded on the 13th.
Shows up here as well http://m.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=December+13+2009+Edmonton+temperature+ But had to expand stations as the airport is a fair distance away.
Let's talk about buckling. Have you ever taken a piece of spaghetti stood it vertically and pressed straight down on it. you'll notice that it bends and then snaps. The spaghetti is not failing due to its compressive strength, it's failing due to buckling. You'll notice that if you half the length of the spaghetti it'll take 4 times the load. This is because the buckling load is inversely proportional to the square of the length.
Now instead of halving the length of our spaghetti we could achieve the same result by holding the top and the bottom of the spaghetti really firmly so that the spaghetti cannot bend at the top and the bottom, imagine them held in a vice. This is called the fixed end case. see here for a demonstration of the different Euler buckling modes.
The important thing to understand is that there are two different types of element here that have buckled. The big girders in the photos buckled yes. But the key thing is that the stabilising stays between them should have prevented this and they have buckled as well.
There is a close-up view in this instagram that shows the stays have been installed with only one bolt at each end. These stays are required to resist tension but more importantly in this case compression. By only installing one bolt in each of these, the riggers have turned a semi-rigid connection into a pin connection, and reduced the buckling capacity of these stays by a factor of close to 4.
There's also Superstore's Flashfood app. It lists discounted items at each store, that are kept in a fridge at customer service. You buy via the app and just walk up to get what you ordered. I have bought cheese that had the exact expiry date as the ones in the cooler in store, but for half price. The selection changes constantly depending on what they are selling off.
Get the Waze app as well and help other drivers know about police, radar, accidents, and construction in the city. As well as being aware of all those from others marking them live.
Your children should be getting a dose of DTaP to prevent diptheria at 2, 4, 6 and 15-18 months of age. As long as you are getting your kids proper vaccinations, they should be protected as young as 2 months.

It's still potentially within the discretion of the executive hosting budget.
$5000 on a Christmas party per year does not suggest a baller event.
$3050 on $50 gift cards suggests 61 birthdays over three years, for about 20 people.
$1800 on cake suggests $29.50 spent. That's not far off, especially if that included any delivery fee.
Christmas gifts (likely gift cards) are not uncommon in an executive office environment.
$315 on an Easter Egg hunt. While most offices usually opt for silly fun money spent on Halloween or Christmas, again, it's not much and levity is not a bad thing.
$2700 over three years on staff appreciation lunches. $900 a year. Or ~$45 a head. This is pretty easy to do since there aren't enough of them to get many group rates. The only point of conjecture here could be if alcohol was charged to the p-card. Further, like most offices, they also took the opportunity to do their staff appreciation event in conjunction with their AGM so it's not just an entire day of power point presentations.
Like I said, the biggest problem is potentially their choice of the Royal Glenora and Hotel MacDonald for hosting venues, but again, they could choose to host on the moon, and if rocket tickets were expensed for $20 each, that's really the only concern, not the place.
It's what's left of a retaining wall that was built in the late 90s to reinforce Keillor Road (which suffered a small landslide a couple years prior). The whole thing eventually gave way the early 2000s, taking out Keillor Road entirely.
If you're interested, I found this slide show on landslides in the city. It has quite a bit of information and several pictures of a few different landslides in the river valley, including the Keillor Road landslide.
This is the one I got. I think there is an updated version though.

Do not buy the US version of GameCenter. You'll still get blackouts.
Buy the UK or Russian version of GameCenter for half the price and tell Rogers and the NHL to go fuck itself.
I have Amazon Instant Video (mainly for HBO purposes), Netflix and Hulu Plus working at home, as well as some British apps for BritTv purposes.
I use a service called Unblock-Us. They offer VPN services, but their DNS service is better and won't slow down your connection any.
You need a good router. With ease of use in mind, I can't recommend the Apple Airport Extreme enough. It's a bit pricey, but remember that it WANTS to work with your AppleTV. It took me 5 minutes to get it set up and I haven't had to touch it since (almost a year)
You'll need to create an iTunes account registered with whatever country you created your GameCenter account in.
When you set up your connection on the Airport Extreme, just change two sets of numbers in the DNS settings, reboot your devices and voila. You don't even need to connect it directly to a computer to do this.
I'm not an Apple fanboy. I'm not a hipster. I'm a 34 year old guy who just wants this shit to work and not waste my time having to fiddle with technology when I'm home after having worked all day.
These actions are illegal; however, what paperwork did you sign in regards to the rental agreement?
The first thing Service Alberta will do is ask to see your paperwork. If it was verbal or handshake agreement, without paperwork, you're going to have your work cut out for you.
Without paperwork, the landlord could claim you are just friends he's helping out, and there is no such agreement, in other words, he's 'letting you crash there in his house' and it would be his word against yours.
If you haven't already - DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.
Times, dates, cheque numbers, payments, all.
Are you paying in cash? Get bank drafts made out in your landlords name. Traceable, cash isn't - document every incident, phone calls, emails, texts, verbal , anything.
Get yourself a webcam for the house. You can get a free one through the app stores, this is more an auto one, but runs non stop - Autoguard. Leave it running, post a note in both front and back doors that give notice that tell people they are on camera. Record everything.

That does make some sense, for sure. But I feel like you're going about it in the wrong way.
It seems to me like you're trying to set this up as a "them vs us", government vs the people, type of problem. When if it really is as black and white safety-wise as you say, shouldn't you be convincing the traffic engineers within various levels of the government (people who by their very nature are anally rational and logical) that this is a good idea and they can then take it up the chain internally and get things changed?
Don't try and convince the people to convince their Councillor to convince the Mayor.
You need to be convincing this guy: https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=ADEAAAhebDQBsaWR2yVS1NnAHte_krwGFD_GzkM
and this guy: https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=ADEAAAmxD9gBZkTp8rRxzMPJ2Wl6fC9NAtyk1XM
And all of their engineers.
I don't feel you'll ever win this as a political battle. You'll never find a politician who will get behind something that the lay-person feels is dangerous and something they've been conditioned for the last 30 years to believe is dangerous ("speed kills").

Because they don't learn the value of hardwork. The Millionaire Next Door explicitly discusses the difference. They label them UAWs (Under Accumulators of Wealth) and PAWs (Prodigious Accumulators of Wealth). UAWs tend to produce UAWs. From the wikipedia article:
"The authors also make the observation that UAWs tend to have children who require an influx of their parents' money in order to afford the lifestyle that they expect for themselves, and that they are less likely to have been taught about money, budgeting and investing by their parents.
When children are brought up in a high consumption, UAW lifestyle, they are more likely to become UAWs themselves. More often than not, the children of high income UAWs become more devout believers in the UAW system than their parents. The children grow accustomed to extreme luxury and believe that they too must possess the same luxury as their parents, even if their income is much less. It is an extreme manifestation of the “Better Off” theory."
I'm not employed by the City of Edmonton, and I was in a public area working as a freelance photographer. You might not like it, and I'm not asking you to, but sometimes I have to do what I have to earn an income.
More importantly, the officer was not in any danger. He was there to keep people from going past him. He was not focused on the house. Additionally, if you read my entire comment, you'd have read that we were not in any danger. We were not in line of sight of the home. There were 3 houses and several cars between it and us. We used the garage as cover as a simple precaution. We were also in that position for only approximately 5 minutes before we left to a much more secured area.
You're overthinking a situation that you were not in attendance for. It's easy to armchair quarterback it, but you of all people should know that without being there and knowing the exact circumstances then you have no business judging someone's actions.
Edit: As further "proof" (I guess you can call it that) that I was there covering a story, look at the front page of the Edmonton Metro this morning. I'll even link the digitized copy of their print edition here. Image looks familiar, huh?
Interesting, so it seems to be physically okay otherwise? If it's being read as raw, you could possibly try something like Linux Reader which is for mounting Linux disks in Windows, but also has a setting for loading a raw disk image. It could possibly make something out of that. Assuming this isn't your system drive and you can still use your actual computer of course.
Incidentally, I've experienced corruption in the BIOS in a past system, that caused the hard drive to be recognized but interpreted incorrectly. Resetting BIOS defaults sorted that right out. It happened when the system power supply failed.
First of all set the card to "read only" to protect further damage to the files on the card. That is the little slider on the side of the card. I have had good luck with recuva, https://www.piriform.com/recuva

Best way to help would be with supplies for evacuees of the effected areas.
And coming to Edmonton from Boston? Can I take your place going back? Huuuge Bruins fan.

An option is to buy a bluetooth OBD2 tool like this and then use Torque. This will emulate an OBD2 fault reader for only $15. There is also a lite version of Torque for free. I believe it will be sufficient for just reading fault codes. So you'll only need to buy the dongle.
Now those links I provided are for Android phones. You'll be able to find the same thing for iPhones on google.
A little context for people that don't know. Waze is a free app that uses data collected from users to provide real time traffic information which gets layered on to a conventional GPS/nav app. It's free. Google bought them for something like a billion.
What is great about Waze is the real time traffic data let you avoid brutal rush hour accidents like this one so you can pick a different place to get on the freeway or choose a new route altogether. It even let's you know where red light cameras are and people often use it to report speed traps and things like minor collisions and construction. This app has saved me many hours in traffic.

It's awkward to use the river as a divider though, since it cuts through the city on a diagonal rather than a horizontal.
This gives a slightly more accurate visual breakdown, I think.
So if you use 118 ave as the divider between central and north, and 87th ave-ish for the divider between south central and south, you have 14 northside murders and 4 southside murders, approximately (just eyeballing the boundaries, basically). And, as you already pointed out, downtown is the "murder epicenter" (nice turn of phrase, btw) of Edmonton.
Edmonton has lower avg temps, higher avg snow, lower avg clear skies. Statistics beat your anecdotal data.
The people my family are listening to, that caused them to become anti-vaxx, are a mix of non-medical and medically trained, and can be found all over the internet. These people use a lot of jargon and medical terminology to sound like they know what they are talking about or to convince people they know what they are talking about and thus are legitimate. The evolution of my family members' beliefs went from concern about how quickly the vaccines were developed and are they safe, and masks don't protect you and maybe hurt you, to what's below.
The covid pandemic, which they refer to as the "plandemic," has been planned for decades. Covid was developed specifically so it could be weaponized, and the covid vaccines are a "vaccine vector." This is a pathogen bioweapons program two decades in the making. It's possibly the greatest human experiment of all time..
"The vaccines don't meet the statutory definition of that technology because unlike every other vaccine in the history of humanity that is derived from a fragment of or attenuated version of a pathogen. This particular injection that we're dealing with right now is an mRNA model, computer generated, not derived from a living or organic material, it's a computer simulation of an mRNA strand which was thought to be a means by which we can turn the human body into a pathogen creator; by that I mean the formation of the corona virus spike protein. It's not a vaccine, it's a gene therapy to create a bioweapon. For the first time in vaccine history we are relying on the immune system to respond to a pathogen creation that we first inject into people." That quote is from a video featuring Dr. David Martin.

These are the ones I got. Currently unavailable but you could probably find similar ones.
You can buy devices that are installed on your water supply and monitor it for these things. It can provide you stats and even allow you to shut off your supply remotely (like if you’re on vacation):
There are cheaper options, I just post this one as Moen is a respected brand so a good example.
Here is an example of a cheaper option (you need to buy a shut off valve still but that’s about $50 for a cheap one):

Amazon.
Do not get cheap ones.At the minimum get the Littman classic, or spend the extra money and go all out for a Cardiology, also made by Littman. While its "overkill" for nursing, the difference is noticeable.
200 bucks on amazon, and if you take care of them, they will last a very long time.
I have an app called "Transit" on Android. It works beautifully for ETS (plus St. Albert and Strathcona County transit if you use those.)
It's beautiful in Banff, you'll love it.
There are tonnes of good, short-medium hikes that are accessible from within a couple minutes of the town site. I've personally done and recommend these ones:
Tunnel Mountain. The trailhead is in the city itself. It's only a couple hours in duration, and you get to take in great views both of the city site, and the valley on the other side. I'd say it's easy to medium.
Sulphur Mountain. It's pretty strenuous switchbacks the whole way, but you finish on top of a mountain and the views are incredible. If you're feeling tired/lazy/whatever, you can also get to the top by way of a gondola! 10/10 views.
Whatever you decide to do, have fun!
> trespass - you have to leave, but you can come back later
Uh, no. Dictionary.com says:
> noun
> 1. Law. an unlawful act causing injury to the person, property, or rights of another, committed with force or violence, actual or implied.
> a wrongful entry upon the lands of another.
> the action to recover damages for such an injury.
> 2. an encroachment or intrusion.
> 3. an offense, sin, or wrong.
>
> verb (used without object)
> 4. Law. to commit a trespass.
> 5. to encroach on a person's privacy, time, etc.; infringe (usually followed by on or upon).
> 6. to commit a transgression or offense; transgress; offend; sin.
There's no context in which the verb "trespass" means "to ban or remove from a location temporarily". Hell, I had to try a few sources and wound up with something from the 1500s before I found some place where it even takes an object, as in your "mall security trespassed a guy".
You can download the Stocard app.
It’s an app that you can save all your rewards points and cards to.
It has a vaccine records blue square that you save your QR code to (by uploading a pic of your QR).

Canadian Tire, Parts Source and NAPA will all likely have a very similar piece for cars. I have something very similar on my hood struts and picked up from CT in their aisle with all the spare parts / odds and ends for automotive.
Mine just doesn’t have the clip on top but it would serve the same function as it’s meant to secure something onto a shaft.

One other thing to add is the “WeatherCAN” app from Environment Canada will absolutely get you the fastest warnings and watches for your location - faster than CTV, Weather Network, or whatever else. In a severe weather situation, seconds can make a difference so give it a download.

There are plenty of free ones, but they tend to be slow. If you're willing to pay for one though, they are pretty reasonable and you get decent speeds. I use one called [Private Internet Access]( ) it's $5.99 a month. There are plenty of other good ones as well, just do some research into it before you pay for it. [This article ]( )has a pretty good summary of quite a few different services that are available.
VPN's are also great too if you want to access sites that are restricted to certain countries, like Netflix.
Actually, if you have an android phone, this dashcam is free. You can get the pro version for about 3 bucks . It saves automatically, you can set recording time, resolution, save it to your YouTube channel automatically or your memory card. Has google maps overlayed on top of camera on one side you can still use GPS for driving. I have this; it's bloody awesome. You can even leave the dashcam running while the car is off, and it will keep recording. Autoguard - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hovans.autoguard&hl=en

In my opinion and experience, never use a free VPN. These systems cost money to run. If you aren't paying for it, that company has to make money somehow and usually it's by selling your data.
Private Internet Access is a great VPN and it's fairly inexpensive. If you pay for the whole year it adds up to something like 5 dollars a month. Month to month it's 7 or 8 dollars/month. Keeping your PC safe and your browsing secure is worth that money.
I mean of course a product has been designed for that. It’s not a new issue by any means. Plenty on the market for varying prices.

I installed it overlooking the driveway, and tucked the power cable to the edge of the garage door. The facade of my garage is all thick ass brick, and I'm not about to try to drill through it. Couple of options - you could go the cold brew route and buy something like this. That way you can keep cold brew in your fridge. Basically just take your coffee grounds, put them into the brewer for half a day or so and it's ready to go.
Secondly, you could always go the Vietnamese iced coffee route. My favourite way of doing iced coffee. That being said, I think the key is the evaporated milk. You can get a Vietnamese coffee filter on Amazon pretty easily.
I use Netflix with the services of Unblock-Us. Unblock-Us, for $5/month lets you select your Netflix region. They also let you get access to other region-locked video and music services like Hulu, Amazon, HBO, Crackle, BBC, etc too. There's a list here of the services and regions they support:
"Should I Answer" if on Android. No root required. They have a good shitlist filter. You have to configure permissions and go into Settings in the app before it'll start blocking spam. It requires another app as a dependency for SMS spam filtering. I believe it uses either OKcaller or the WhoCallsMe servers for most lists. No adware but they do have a "Donation" tab on the app (consider donating!).

I'm sure within a few days that site will be updated with this breach. But it's a good idea to check your email there anyways. It will then check against the data breaches it's collected, and simple tell you if you've been part of a leak or not. Chances are you have been. I've been in like 6 leaks in as many years. Good indicator to whether you should start changing passwords or not.
I've commuted a couple of times and I've had a horrible time with inconsiderate drivers. You will need to ride very defensively. Since your in the coliseum area I would suggest taking the bike path here:

Yeah from a technical standpoint...this isn't a very sound analysis but that being said most of his points are very valid.

This is kinda true with big caveats, but lots of frameworks have had bad vulnerabilities at one point or another. A lot of big name websites are built on Wordpress, to great sucess (see: https://wordpress.com/notable-users/)

'Anyone' is a very broad term, in this case 'Anyone' would have to be in physical proximity to you to act as an AP, MITM your traffic and then perform a downgrade attack to sniff your traffic. Still bad that this could, obviously, but not as broad as this guy suggests.

Here's a decent chart of seasonal weather in Edmonton.
Might be more interesting coming in March though. It'd be the 3rd last game played at Rexall and we'll likely be eliminated from the playoff race by then so tickets will likely be cheaper, but then again you run the risk of McDavid actually being the saviour and it being impossible to get tickets if we have a chance to make the playoffs in the final few games.
Similar to the one you picked up, but much cheaper: http://www.dx.com/p/uhf-vhf-digital-indoor-tv-antenna-for-hdtv-stb-blue-black-155558#.U4OK1vldUwA
DX takes a while longer to get, but has some savings. There are some others to choose from on the site, but I wanted cheap just to try out.
I bought a couple of these a few months ago and I get most of the channels above. Global is hit and miss for me, but I haven't bothered to troubleshoot much (southside). We've dropped to basic cable, but will probably ditch it outright very soon. Between the antennas, netflix, showbox, youtube, and a couple of Chromecasts, we have plenty of content.
geocaching
1 minute video- http://www.geocaching.com/guide/default.aspx
Some are easy to find, others you have to do something like find a fake rock with a key and coordinates to the treasure chest you use the key to unlock. The geocaching.com app is about $10 and it will take you to some neat areas of the city to explore.
Don't use a "free" VPN.
I really like Tunnel Bear, and month-to-month I think it's cheaper than some of the more well-known providers. I've used it for Netflix when abroad, but other than that it's not something I really need very often.
I won't even try ExpressVPN purely because I resent all the youtubers shoving it down my throat, and all the pop-up ads I've seen for it online.
I bought from Amazon prime and had it delivered for tomorrow. I believe we’ve cleared out the Nestle but Dasani is still very available and a good deal. Here’s the link: Bottled Water
Not really outside of the ol google. CBC has done some stories on it before. There’s a good thread on red flag deals of people discussing their test results and remediation processes.
This is the meter I bought a few years ago and the same model the Edmonton public library loans out every fall. I’ve been loaning it out to friends and family to get tested. There are cheaper, non digital, options through the universities. It’s basically a ~$35 puck that you put in your basement for 90 days, mail it to them and then they send you the results.
i recommend this fancy battery charger instead. you can select the charge rate and has other options on it
https://www.paulsfinest.com/Maha-PowerEx-C9000-WizardOne-Battery-Charger.html
if you don't care much for the AAA batteries you can just get this on amazon here
https://www.amazon.ca/Panasonic-KKJ17KHCA4A-Individual-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B00JHKSL1O/
comes with AA batteries but the charger does AAA as well
I see and someone mentioned Flex Delivery by Canada Post. Is that free? If so can I use it for products on Amazon that aren't shipped by Amazon like this item?
Our pediatrician used this exact one for our child:
https://www.amazon.ca/Elephant-Washer-Bottle-Doctor-Easy/dp/B005M2B5P0
Not sure if this is the same that they use on adults, but it worked on our child as chunks came out (without any drops ahead of time to soften it).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.edmonton.edmonton311&hl=en_CA
here's edmonton 311 app, it works really well. after i downloaded it, none of my neighbors store their RVs on our street anymore :)
I have Shaw 600 unlimited - and it works quite well considering I'm downtown. I use about 2-3 TB on average a month.

Speed is generally solid, Steam downloads can get a bit picky at times, although I think thats more server throttling on their end. I find the bigger the file, the better speeds I get.

On the downside, using ExpressVPN will max out between 160-200 going though Seattle - I haven't found an entry point that will go faster (yet). Germany and Mexico tend to hit about steady 120.

No issues with gaming. Our building had fibre installed 2 months ago, I'd like to get that as well but until I get a job that ones on hold LOL.

However, consider how much you download and how quick you need your data. I would say an average user should be comfy @ 150 on Shaw. Unlimited is certainly a plus, but I think Telus charges $15 extra per month for that option.

Hope that helps
Did a bit of searching. This looks like it might come close to what you're looking for.

I'd personally recommend AirVPN. It's a little pricier than the others, but they do take privacy seriously.
The cheapest is probably Private Internet Access, which I've used and had lots of success with before. However, them being based in the USA made me decide to switch to an overseas company.
SnackCity Mobile App or SnackCity Website Is what I like to use. I've also used SkiptheDishes, Uber Eats, Nomme and Just Eat.
There is also Colonel's Club (KFC), My McD's, Pizza73, Pizza Hut Canada, and Boston Pizza.
I believe you can get this program (nophonespam) from google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.bitfire.nophonespam&hl=en
It is ad free and free to use. It allows wildcard blocking.
There was or is a “digit filter” on android but not sure if the make/model of your phone has it.
If it's more about you finding a religion, that's a different thing. You're an adult and you should feel free to pursue that. If you do, I hope it does what you need it to do.
>I'm thinking religion is like most everything else when it comes to our children, constructive for them if properly presented and we help guide them, and negative if we don't.
Therein lies the problem. "Properly presented" could mean anything. I don't deny that religion can have benefits. Your point about it filling a hole that might otherwise be filled with more destructive behaviour is an excellent one. But overall it's a hobble on society that slows progress. It doesn't encourage individual thinking. I'm not picking on any one religion here, I mean all of them. To me, anything that presents following a religion today as a viable choice, rather than studying it for its historical effects, is a negative.
I'm sorry to hear that you feel incomplete. That's a problem for many people, you aren't alone. In fact, I'd wager that it is one of the driving reasons that religion sprang up in the first place. So of course it's a natural fit. If it's the only way to keep you from alcoholism or drug abuse, by all means go for it.
I "filled" that hole in a different way. Fulfilment comes from within. To be happy, you need a purpose. Create that purpose for yourself, rather than asking someone else to tell you what it is. Whether that purpose is raising kids, or volunteering, or adding to society in some other beneficial way, it doesn't matter. Whatever gives your life meaning. Without sound too much like a shill, I'd suggest reading "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Franzl. It's an excellent read that might help you.
Religion has made a lot of very good people do bad things because they felt like it gave their lives meaning. It is probably the easiest way to fill that emptiness inside you, but it's far from the best.
Good luck to both you and your daughter.
I'll suggest reframing your problem. Credit ratings are not a measure of financial success - they're a measure of ability to repay debt.
Do you want to get out of debt and be financially successful, or do you want to have a really high credit rating? Often these two goals are in opposition.
When I got out of debt I found a lot of value in a book called "The Total Money Makeover" - the library has plenty of copies. It outlines a slow-but-sure plan for getting out of debt and building wealth - a summary of it is here.
For those of you unaware, there is a fancy little number you can call that will let you report potholes. It's super easy to remember, and costs significantly less than a can of marking spray paint.
311
An inspector will be out within 24 hours to gauge the severity of the pothole, and a repair crew equipped with the appropriate materials to either patch or fully repair the pothole will be out within a week of the report depending on the severity of the pothole. Dangerous potholes will be repaired within a few hours of the inspector's report.
For those of you who wish to do a lot of reporting, here's handy links to both Android and iPhone apps for Edmonton 311:
Alberta Health Services also has an app:
from personal experience I would say St. Albert is the least busiest.
I've been getting these every once in a while for a few years and this last week it really increased. Like around 5:00 pm for a few days in a row I would get 10 or so of these calls back to back. I finally had to get an app called Mr. Number and used it to block any calls starting with the same first three digits of my phone number.
The weird thing is that when it started to escalate the callers sounded more like prank callers. Usually when I've received these, I'll answer and nobody will be there so I hang up right away. Last week I answered and stayed on the line for a few more seconds and some guy came on the line claiming I had been asking his girlfriend for nudes on Facebook (wtf?). So I hung up and then a few seconds later get another call (same first 3 digits but different last 4) and it was someone doing an Indian accent so I hung up right away and blocked all the calls with the above app. So fucking annoying.
OP, if you use Android then get this app and block calls starting with '780447': https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrnumber.blocker&hl=en
to check for vulnerability. It does sound like it's mostly just a potential thoroughfare that no one is really using (yet). So even if your device is vulnerable it doesn't mean that someone is trying to get access to you.
An app to take pictures and report pot holes
I reported some pot holes and they repaved the whole street, it's possible they were planning to anyway, but still

Your February invoice is likely from January usage where there were two cold snaps. February was much warmer so if you're locked in, I can't see how it'd be higher when your March bill rolls in at the end of the month.
I was trying to find a small cabin my friends had found on air bnb, but found this other one instead.. Maybe it'll be just what you need? https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13745650?location=Cooking%20Lake%2C%20Strathcona%20County%2C%20AB&guests=1&s=V4qyQrfu
Check out this awesome list of doughnut shops in Emdonton:

You can go to the Cram dunk at the UofA, or Tim Hortons, or Tim Hortons, or Tim Hortons, or Tim Hortons....
Whoa, too much vitamin d is toxic! You don't pee it out like other vitamins. Please be careful when giving yourself extra doses and ask your doctor!!!
Yeah! See my comment at the top re: my Etsy shop/print-ready digital files by donation. I wish I could let the prints go for less than $20, but shipping costs me anywhere from $10-15, plus the cost of the mailing tube :/ So glad you like it enough to hang it though, it means alot!
You can absolutely file a chargeback in any circumstance. Paypal's chargeback guide even shows you. The person would contact their credit card company and say they didn't make that transaction and the company would reverse it. That makes Paypal automatically freezes the other person's account. It fucks them over.
Ok, that would be the Edmonton Public Schools ARCHIVES, not maintenance. (Which isn't actually close to the new Epcor tower at all.)
Check the sidebar for now. ~~I've looked around and I don't think there's an event page yet.~~

PS Also, keep your eyes peeled, we should have a http://www.meetup.com/ page soon!
Hi JenWC, thanks for your message! I can appreciate that, it does sound like a lot of work. My application is now in the "resume evaluation" stage and I really hope to see its status change into "Hiring manager review". However, yesterday I found a CoE document online (https://www.slideshare.net/coerecruitment/job-applicationprocess-37503558) showing the "hiring funnel", indicating that if you do not see the change from 'evaluation" to 'hiring manager review" within a week of closing date, then you are not considered for an interview. It's been more than a week since the closing, of course, so my hopes are not high. I hope it simply takes longer in some cases, as you and all the contributors to this thread suggest. Thanks for this, it keeps me encouraged! Best regards!
Do you have a photo of it? Maybe post it here so if someone spots it they might recognize it? Also, if there's a brand name to it or some identifying feature, I would set up an IFTTT trigger on the Kijiji RSS feeds for both Calgary and Edmonton that will send you an e-mail if the keyword(s) in the bicycles category matches.
Costco has a raised flowerbed kit going on sale in April. Is this a good idea? Last year when I put in my shed in the back yard I only found 2" of soil before solid clay back there..
I was thinking of growing veggies this year, will having something like this allow me to grow everything discussed in this thread so far? I'm thinking lettuce, zucchini, onions, carrots (lots of carrots), and cilantro.
I've been growing tomatoes out of a pot so far and they've been pretty successful, but I couldn't get my zucchini or squash to bloom last year.
