From Bill Gates Facebook -
"I’m truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs’ death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work.
Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives.
The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come.
For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it’s been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely."
A few months back someone had commented on FB that I looked like Captain Kangaroo in a photo. It got me to thinking about Bob Keeshan and how much I enjoyed watching the Captain as a child.
Turns out an unscrupulous producer had stolen the rights to the character out from under Mr. Keeshan in the 1990s and created a horrible version of the show for the Fox Network.
I called a friend who had been involved in children's television and we discovered that this producer had allowed the trademark to lapse.
I've applied for it, at first just to keep it out of the hands of those who had taken it from Bob Keeshan, but have learned that trademarks aren't like cybersquatting on a web domain. You have to actually use it in order to keep a trademark active.
If you want to see what happens when trademarks and domain names are left for the wrong people to snatch up, just google the Captain's old friend Dancing Bear : (
So I've put up a website (captainkangarooshow.com), a daily blog (captainkangarooshow.blogspot.com) and a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-New-Captain-Kangaroo/191129644265778) where we now have almost 400 fans. Not a lot, but still not bad for a show that doesn't exist yet.
The situation as it stands: We come publish for opposition with the USPTO at the end of August, 30 days later I'll own the trademark to Captain Kangaroo and can begin to pursue television, radio and publishing deals.
We won't own the copyrights, so we need to "re-invent" the Captain, but we'll be able to keep Bob Keeshan's character from being used again by the company that stole it out from under him.
TL/DR: I grew up watching Captain Kangaroo. I am 30 days away from BECOMING Captain Kangaroo!
I believe this picture is circa ~ 1994. He got this trophy in boy scouts, racing some toy car he made. The combo of the tie-dye shirt, flowing mullet and the look of accomplished smugness he has in this pic is priceless.
Edit: I have been corrected, apparently he won the rocket trophy in a separate rocket building competition, and the toy car on his lap is from the Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby. This was a school picture and he was told to bring along his favorite things. This led to the beautiful combination you see here of the trophy + toy car + Tie-dye shirt.
FINAL EDIT: I'm still alive, and he actually found this very funny. My husband thinks it is awesome so many of you enjoyed this photo. With his 15 minutes of internet fame, he wants me to edit this post slightly. Below is a link to a poll for The Home Depot Foundation. Yes it is on facebook, but it doesn't spam your wall or send you a million updates, but it is for a really good cause. the HVAF is a great charity that helps veterans adjust to life post-war. With your vote HVAF will receive 25,000 dollars to help their program, thanks!
Ironically, your action of saving the image and uploading it to imgur is strikingly similar to FunnyJunk's actions. How about linking to the real source?
HA! I know Murderface Sandwich! He is actually a cat. I will ask my friend if he can share Murder's photo. Murder has a FB profile.
EDIT: Murderface's FB Profile
I think agencies require a subpoena to get to your data, but I may be wrong. Regardless, Facebook has legal obligations to fulfill in every country it operates. If you are doing illegal stuff, you'd have to be an idiot to be posting it to facebook anyway.
I'm shocked that people are still shocked that law enforcement operates online.
EDIT: A more energetic person than I looked it up here. Facebook does not disclose private information without a court order. Furthermore, they are legally obligated to store chat logs in many jurisdictions. Complain to your governments, not Facebook.
This is what you do, get the account memorialized.
Specifically, https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=125338004213029 is a faq entry about it and you'd actually do the reporting at https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=deceased

I don't want to be "that guy", but is there any way to verify that you are indeed Husky? The guy with the HDStarcraft account is NOT HD and he tried to fake an AMAA as well as other negative things under a fake HD account a few months ago. Just wondering!
EDIT: Proof! Thanks, johnbranflake.
Except for that the quotations on his own Facebook page aren't attributed to anyone.
Edit: It appears he's since hidden the quotes and bio section of his profile from public view.
Here's a link to a photo my father took of Waits before he was anything. My dad was out back of the show Tom was opening for, and was smoking a cig. My dad snapped his photo, not knowing what the young guy would become.
I hate to whore myself out but I've never seen myself on Reddit and this is pretty fucking cool to me... So here goes!
I post a lot of dumb jokes like this on my facebook page. Sometimes early Cyanide & Happiness comics too. You can check it out here:
I doubt that's the real facebook page:
This is even better
Says your statuses are being posted via "Facebook Elite Edition" (where it says "via Mobile"...etc.) Not sure if it works anymore...
Credit to my friend from back home.
edit: it still works. Shows a little gold facebook icon too.
EDIT: I woke up and this was comment number 2 on the page so I am going to add this: Here is where you can go to help! I posted it below but, it got buried.
I work with a mentally disabled person and I know how much their things mean to them. I know many who have a hard time grasping relationships but, understand things because they can hold them in their hand. This is truly a cruel crime.
This is a picture of a protest a year ago in front of the ministry of interior building in Cairo. The protest was against the killing of blogger Khaled Said. The Facebook page "We are all Khaled Said" would eventually help start the 25th of January revolution.

There's a Facebook group for former Elan school students/victims/inmates. It lists a bunch of Elan school jargon, without any explanation. Some of these have already been explained, but I wonder if you might translate the whole list:
EDIT: A former resident is posting some pretty amazing illustrations based on her memories of attending in the 1970s.
Dec 1974. One evening while we were watching TV, two escapees were brought in with frostbitten feet. They had escaped with no shoes on their feet.
Jan 1975. As a punishment for running away, Lesley was given a general meeting. Then the director got onto the subject of Lesley being a tomboy and hating womanly things. He made her get all dolled up and made everyone laugh at her and ridicule her. Along with loss of privileges, she had to remain in dress.
Sorry for your loss. You can get Facebook to memorialise a profile, which means it still exists, but only for existing friends and shouldn't show up in things like this.
This is what David posted on his FB:
>Cross installed on public land, paid by public money, placed by a priest on consecrated (public) ground in a religious ceremony. What exactly is the Christian Right's next step if this goes unchallenged? Are you foolish enough to think this won't set any kind of precedent?
His response to Jon:
>First off, I'd like to say that I think Jon Stewart is very funny, bright, and talented. I am somewhat honored that he considered having me on his show, and disappointed that he chose to talk about me without having me on. I also think his bit about me was darn funny, and made me laugh. But he was wrong. He gave a one-sided, albeit funny, account of a serious issue facing this serious event. I am not a dick just because I am standing for equal representation. I am not being grumpy because I expressed what many people are thinking about the cross (that the idea that God sat back and watched the event happen, then deemed to give Christians a cross to show his love is a ludicrous position). It is certainly no laughing matter that the press is making us out to be unpatriotic during an act of patriotism. Good comedy, poor journalism. We are reminded that Jon is a comedian, not a news source. That's OK. Perhaps we were taking him too seriously anyway. Hopefully they will actually invite me on to give our side, talk about the importance of SOCAS and government equality, and make a real case to America why the WTC Memorial/Museum should be religion-even, if not religion-free.
It's only fair if they allow equal representation of all religions at the museum. What do you think would happen if the relatives of the Muslims that died during 9/11 wanted the star and crescent represented there?
Net neutrality is not enough.

Please keep in mind that virtually all of Canada is looking down at these idiots and we're embarassed by them.
Also, lots of people were out in the streets the following day to help clean things up.
Don't judge an entire country based on the actions of a small group of idiots.
Her Portfolio. This photo is nominated for best engagement photo on Bride.ca if you want to show some love.
It's a photoshopped photograph. It's a stock image the Empire State Building folks re-edit when they want to show the internet what the lights look like on some nights (like when they're lit a certain way for a special occasion.)
Their Facebook page shows this.
Also it was quite foggy in New York tonight from my understanding.

I agree. There is a facebook page created with only 9500 supporters, this needs to be given more attention.
I sent a complaint to the national ACLU, but I'll also send one to the LA ACLU. This is insane. Absolutely insane. Our public school system has completely and utterly failed if not a single one of these students (other than Damon) can understand why this is unconstitutional. You would think that "tyranny of the majority" would have come up during the history of slavery in the United States.
EDIT: I would also urge those of us with Facebooks to comment on the LA ACLU's wall urging them to support Damon.
I don't post often but this guy needs help exposing these cops for what they really are. I'm working on finding a contact email to the chief of police and a phone number.
EDIT: Phone # (248) 530-1863 ... still working on email
EDIT #2: Chief of police email: his name is Donald Studt
EDIT #3: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=193656530693371 support on facebook as well! Thanks everyone for the help!
Facebook is NOT filtering Occupy Wall Street posts. I have plenty of groups discussing and dispersing news. Dunno where this rumour came from.
Unless they fix it you can go to https://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php and see everyone on line again. You have to reload it every few minute though because if someone comes on line, it doesn't show the list updating. It only removes people from the list after they go off line.
Hi, I'm Nick and I work on the photos team at Facebook. There are a two clarifications I want to make about how this feature works:
1. We don't automatically tag anyone, regardless of what this article implies. We do use some face detection/recognition software to suggest tags to the uploader, and the only reason we added it was to make tagging your friends easier and quicker.
2. Only your friends are suggested, this can't be used to identify an arbitrary individual.
Try out the feature yourself next time you upload photos to Facebook, I hope you'll find that it's pretty straightforward and useful. Seriously, there is no master plan here other than to make a really good product that lets people share photos with each other easily. If you have suggestions after using it (or for Facebook photos in general), please let me know: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=ui_photos2
In the 7th grade, my foreign language teacher sent me to the office because I got a new pair of glasses, and according to her, "changing my appearance" was "disrespectful." She later quit her job in the middle of the year to become a nun in Russia.
A whole Facebook was created in her memory: https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2218523759 (the second post down is from the English teacher whose room was across the hall.)
Um, the general protest is anti-capitalism. Look at the pictures and videos, you see signs like "STOP CAPITALISM" and "Capitalism is organized crime" that advertises a socialist party. The most blatant sign that this protest is more of an anti-capitalism protest then anything is their stated motive- protesting "greed." Trying to stop profit-seeking behavior is like trying to stop gravity. If they really cared about fixing the problem rather than dismantling capitalism like those signs demand, they would be protesting government policy that has changed capitalism to corporatism. Government policy is the only non-common denominator between the two, yet they are protesting the common denominator that exists in both legitimate capitalism and corrupt corporatism. Otherwise they wouldn't be harassing people wearing suits and categorizing police officers as part of the ruling class based on the color of their collar.
It is hard to pin down the message of this protest. However, it's pretty obvious that for the most part it is anti-capitalism. These people want the economy to be organized based on how they envision it, not based on free association.
P.S. I just remembered that one of the three stated goals of Occupy Wall Street on their facebook page before it began was "Abolish Capitalism." So my analysis isn't even necessary to prove their cause is anti-capitalism more than anything,
It took Facebook almost 4 years to reach 50 million users in 2007 (source) Facebook was fairly relevant in 2007.
I'm guessing that Google+ is now the 3rd largest internet social network in the world (behind Facebook and Twitter). Does that sound right?
The problem is that so many people assume there will be a complete migration from one social network to the next, like how everyone left MySpace for Facebook. But that wont happen again. Most people wont fully abandon Facebook for Google+ or vice versa.
When the next big social network comes around in a few years, people are going to be sick of building up their friends lists from scratch. Hopefully by then social network websites will just be a front end for your social network database file that is completely independent.
Can you imagine if you could only email someone using the same email service as you? That's kind of how I feel about these social networking sites right now. Can anyone give me more info about plans to setup an open social networking protocol or something along those lines?
Looks like someone who was there is breaking the news... so still unconfirmed. But if it's true, It's on!

Wow...So I didn't expect this to get many votes.
TO ALL YOU NONBELIEVERS:
The post was made in a group for my university. All the likes came because everyone in the group goes to...the same...university. Amazing, huh?
Anyways, you can find the post if you scroll down. Sorry I never included this to begin with.
Comparison of this particular device vs. others
Stolen from the TRL discussion of this video:
"I can't find much info on this DP802i device but it appears to be wildly inaccurate or you need to leave it there for a long time to get a proper reading. At the 1:50 mark you can see that the white radex geiger counter sitting on top of the thorium mantels is measuring ~2.1 uSv/h. The Dp802i sitting to the left and further away is measuring about 9.3 uSv/h. It is of course not possible to get such a higher reading from further away with less surface area. I think the algorithms of the device is over compensating for the rate of change or it needs a very long time to get a proper idea of dose."
I would like to see this same video from with the device allowed to sit longer in the dirt.
pray for my dad yall, hes sick today, thinks he caught something from drinking out of the trash.

I need to read back and review my responses; I never meant to give that impression! I just don't like talking specific salary figures ($5000+ a month is the most I'll say).
I love working here. Every day I get to work on a product I know millions of people are going to use. as an intern I own a specific project, and will be able to deploy it at the end of my internship. I'm working with some awesome people who know there stuff, and I'm constantly learning.
Secondarily, I get awesome perks, such as Food, cool tech talks, fun events, and more.
I'm having a blast here.

Did some quick searches online and found their facebook page and website. On their facebook it says that their magazine is on sale at the Virgin Megastore, and it looks like a pretty polished operation so I'm certain that there's money coming in.
Has it become this easy now for publications to just search flickr and get people to send their photos like this? Or should I get off my high horse and not worry about it? I have to admit it would be very cool to see my photo in the magazine - but I feel like they are worth more than giving away.
Edit: Here's the photos of Bahrain on my flickr.
That's Tad. Stands for Totally Awesome Dog.
You can checkout more on him, see videos, and donate to help:
He didn't only avoid questions. He blatantly lied. He said he was hacked, which was false. He said he suspected it was a prank played on him because of his name, which was false.
Also, after he made the twitter blunder, he made a post from the facebook page he used to make these sexual advances, saying:
>Hello Friends. I know this page has been dry for a while, but if you've gotten any odd emails, chats or notices from here recently, drop me a note.
That's a clear attempt to manufacture the alibi that it was not him having those sex chats. I don't know why he would think that would suffice if he sent photos of himself to the women and used his congressional phoneline to contact them. If I were one of the women, that move would definitely make me want to go public and expose the jerk.
I know it's 3 hours late and whatnot, but if you still wanted a picture, I made one earlier with a little explanation here
I think it should be said that the stalker ticker (which is what I've decided to call it) shows everything your friends do in real time. Even if it's a post to another non-friends' wall. You can then hover over that comment/post and see everything commented (even if their profile is set to private). This seems to be quite an invasion of privacy since there's no way to opt-out of having your stuff put on the stalker ticker.
I have found something to put into adblock+ that hides the ticker. Granted, it doesn't keep your stuff off of it, but at least you don't have to look at the annoying thing.
Add this to your Adblock+ filter set:

>Ok folks here are some relevant information; We will equipe the ROV with a real time 3D-sonar so we can get really nice images at close range. To get a more overwiew image we will use a multibeam sonar and an ordinary side scan sonar. We will have divers with rebreather equipment with us but they will be sent down as a last option. We have also thought about geiger-equipment. But right now there is not enough funds so we can proceed, we working on it though
No it doesn't, at least, not completely.

These two baby girls, Lanta and Lucia, are being fostered by a friend of mine while they recover from kennel cough and a bad case of mange. They're in foster care for at least two more months while they are treated.
Despite the illness, I still think they are adorable :)

This. This is only possible effect the new law can have. True pirates won't be stopped, but open internet access at one of the nation's largest institutions for research and education will be utterly stifled.

According to Facebook(or at least one poster there) and Swansea and Cardiff forums, the guy was set upon by six Swansea fans. This is shameful, and I say that as a Swansea fan. RIP bluebird.

Okay. There's the Facebook group for the easiest/least effective move. https://www.facebook.com/#!/SaveSGU. That said, the group has jumped a few thousand members this week.
Next up, buy the DVDs. Not just SGU, but SGA and SG-1. Syfy isn't the only player here. The recently bankrupted MGM (under new management) is also a player, and can choose to at least release a DVD movie eventually, or shop the franchise out to another network. SYFY is a sinking ship.
On top of that, visiting the official website, watching vids on Hulu, etc. all go into the calculus as to whether a show is worth resurrecting or not. More important than anything, though, is to start showing the series to your friends. Firefly was a ratings flop when it was first released, partly due to similar issues of "timeslot of death," choices by its network. It was word of mouth that increased sales enough to give us Serenity.
On this matter, if you think I'm full of shit, you can go back and see me predicting SGU's failure would kill the SG-1 and SGA movies back when that would get you downvoted in this subreddit... So I'm asking for a bit of faith here.
the most interesting thing of all that shit was the hot indian chick.. who was there because she is an expert in...?!!?? because shes hot...

I'd say apart from having to wait a few more seconds to make a right turn, these lanes present no problems and are a step in the right direction for Vancouver. I wish politicians like Anton and Rob Ford (Toronto) would stop making these into such a wedge issue.
We do, however, need to focus on other areas besides the downtown core. Bike-friendly streets in Vancouver are decent, but we could really use more public transit. The only way to get most people out of their cars and into the future is to make transit an attractive service.
For anyone interested in pushing for transit expansion and service improvements, there's a facebook page called 4TransitNow
I can 100% guarantee that comments on that page will be seen by people at Translink and City Hall.
According <em>to the photograph's owner</em> via blogTO, Ford wasn't drunk and the marks on his shirt are rain.

Nonito Donaire said it best:
>"Protect yourself at all times. This is boxing. WHen some1 hits you once, don't look n e where else, cover your face! Once the ref says go, you better put your hands up, esp after you got deducted for an intentional headbutt, cuz your opponent doesn't have to accept your apology. And what the hell was that kiss all about?
>It can be classless, it can be unsportmanike, even opportunistic, but unforunately, its still legal. Would I pull a mayweather? No. But would I pull an Ortiz and be THAT close to a fighter even IF he was saying sorry? No. Id keep arms length away."
Also, I doubt Ortiz is as classy as everyone thinks he is. If he were, he wouldn't have headbutt like that. As many professional and amateur fights as this guy has been in and he winds back and lunges forward a la Zidiene Zidane as soon as he gets frustrated? I don't buy that "class" act one bit. If you're the kind of person to get "caught up in the moment" and start throwing fouls, you should rethink your position in the sport.
Floyd gave this guy as much respect as he earned throughout the fight, a boxing 101 lesson and a life lesson to boot. Keep your hands up when the ref says fight and don't fight dirty if you don't want a dirty fight.

hi my name's jake and i'm a product manager on the site integrity team at facebook. the screenshot you linked above is only shown in cases where either a user has self identified as hacked (e.g. go through recovery flows after saying they were compromised, disavowed a password change on their account, etc) or was flagged by an automated system as having had its account compromised by a professional cyber criminal.
in all situations the 1st thing you would see is an explanation that your account has been locked to prevent any further unauthorized access and restore access to the rightful owner. the vast majority of the time you can self resolve by answering a security challenge, but sometimes we have enough suspicion that the cyber criminal is trying to regain control (eg you always use the site from new york, and now someone in siberia is attempting a security challenge) that we require ID to make sure that the criminal (who steals identities for a living) isn't getting into your account.
that ID is reviewed by our user operations team and immediately deleted thereafter before restoring access to your account. to learn more about how to keep your account secure, please check out https://www.facebook.com/help?page=18887. thanks.
Actually, contact facebook via https://www.facebook.com/help/?page=842 , which allows you to memorialize their page. It can be a place for healing and remembrance.
"When a user passes away, we memorialize their account to protect their privacy. Hands down, this is one of the most amazing groups of folks I've had the pleasure to meet. Most of us are east valley, we have a few people who joined the group before moving here, and have had a great time acclimating since they 'knew' people before they got here. We go out and do stuff all the time, and prom is in a couple of weeks.
Reminds me, I need to find an outfit for that.
A friend of mine just got talked down from a Zombie wedding but his wife did allow a "Pre Wedding Zombie Phot Shoot" as seen here:
This is an important issue to me. One of my friends, Jamie Walton, was forced into child prostitution at a very young age. Amazingly enough she grew up to be a healthy adult. She is currently working with Kevin Smith (director/actor) to help get young girls out of these abusive situations.
If you are interested in joining and getting updates, they have a facebook page. They are just getting started so it's still pretty small.
Kevin also did an interview with Jamie on his radio show. It's a very disturbing piece, so be prepared if you listen to it.
EDIT: I've asked Jamie if she and Kevin would be interested in doing an AMA. Would anybody be interested in such an event if they said yes?
Haha hell yeah, I live in Conway AR and I have been trying to figure out the story behind DD Honeycutt for a long time. I think he is a comedian that lives in Little Rock (which is about 30mins away). You can friend him on facebook and he will update his status with some pretty funny stuff every now and again.
The Facebook page states,"We will permanently delete your ID from our servers once we have used it for verification purposes". So they don't have thousands of Redditor's IDs on their servers.
what really baffles/irritates me is some of the comments on their fb page. granted, we live in the south... but, come on.
Stupid Facebook Comments
Via the official GNP fbook page:
Glacial lakes and their outlet streams tend to have very low nutrient levels, a condition described scientifically as "oligotrophic." The oligotrophic waters of the park are largely due to being located near the headwater source of the watersheds, local surface geology, lack of nutrient input from either human or natural sources, cold water temperatures, and short growing seasons."
Which explains the low/lack of algae.
As to the coloration, it doesn't translate well in this picture, but glacial lakes tend to look green (Wikipedia calls it turquoise), due to the aforementioned rock flour, which is derived from jasper.
The rest of the album.
Fuck the new chat, but I bet that Mantraa's post is closest to right...
Also, if you, like me, think the new chat sucks PLEASE write a complaint here: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=ui_chat2 - my friend who works at facebook said these DO get read en masse and they take them into account. If enough people write shit about the new chat it might do something...
You might consider the Second Strings Project. From the site:
"Singer/Songwriter, Darryl Purpose, and activist Kevin Deame announced the formation of The Second Strings Project, a campaign to collect and distribute used guitar strings to needy musicians throughout the world. This effort will help keep musical creativity alive in countries that might otherwise die."
I haven't contributed yet, but I have a batch of old strings about ready to pack up and ship.

Here is my mental list that I always refer to when in need of food (excuse poor formatting recently got around to creating a Reddit account instead of lurking):
Masters: Bloor and Huron has good all day breakfast plates for about $5
Est West: Queens Park subway station where the Tim Hortons is, go down the hallway and just follow it and theres a food court for the office building. All day breakfast for $5
$5 lunch at Hart House every 2 weeks
Woodsworth Krugar Hall free pancakes every Weds
The Buttery (between the stadium and Munk building) has good cheap hot lunch from about 11:30-2 every weekday. Good amount of food for the price
Wymilwood Cafe Whatever their special of the day is its good and cheap
Spring Roll Express in SS. Get their special, its relatively cheap and always filling. Also its usually the fastest thing they put out
China Town: a lot of places have lunch specials for $10 where you get a 3 part meal.
Shwarma Guy next to Queens parks subway station: Cheap Shwarma/Falafel for about $4.50 plus another dollar for canned drink (cheapest Ive found)
Still working on it.
Edit I have no idea how to force spaces or bullet points, doesnt seem to be working for me...
Edit 2 Slowly figuring this out, sorry all.
The sky is FALLING!!!
He is a FOREX trader and is speculating on the US Dollar. Its his job and in his interest to make people think something is ABOUT TO HAPPEN!
Pretty sure it was Dennis Rodman. This was taken from Vandal Vixen's facebook.
And if you don't have facebook.
Actually you can like this:
The state launched a campaign inciting it's followers to report the above page and create multiple account to like the president's page and make it more numerous than the revolution's page.
childish on their part ,i know , but our president is a kid after all
It already exists my friend.

Here are some ways in which the new side bar 'improves' upon the old chat according to their help page:
'The sidebar is sensitive to the amount of free space you have on your screen, so it only appears if there’s enough room for it.'
'The list of friends in your sidebar is based on who you’ve interacted with most frequently or recently on Facebook. Since it updates dynamically, you can’t manually add friends to the list.'
'Since the list of friends in your sidebar now updates dynamically based on who you interact with, it is no longer organized by friend list. You can still use friend lists to limit your availability to certain friends.'
Whoever thought these features would be an improvement needs to have their heads checked.

Xander Corvus has starred in many of the New Sensations Romance Series, which are uniformly well acted, beautifully made, and generally right up the passionx alley.
In all honesty, my ladyboner for the man could cut glass.
Admittedly these aren't as vile as some of the misogynistic pages referenced are purported to be, but this is just what I was able to find in about 30 seconds:
I'm not so sure misogyny is the only thing facebook ever turns a blind eye toward.
I heard about this protest a while ago when it was being planned, but the point of the protest was not immediately clear, so I quickly lost interest. I don't necessarily want to fight a battle with people who have vastly different plans for renovation than I do. Yes, everyone agrees that there is a problem but there are many ways to fix it and therefore the protest is... unfocused. Seriously, take a look at the facebook page.
>we shall incessantly repeat one simple demand in a plurality of voices.
ok, sounds good. What is that simple demand?
>we zero in on what our one demand will be, a demand that awakens the imagination and, if achieved, would propel us toward the radical democracy of the future … and then we go out and seize a square of singular symbolic significance and put our asses on the line to make it happen.
Either I'm not smoking enough pot or they need to actually state this as simply as they claim they can. How are you going to make a title for an article out of that paragraph? Honestly. Don't get me wrong, I think there is a need for changes to be made to the economy, but this is never going to be a good subject for the news because it's not succinct or focused enough. Most news shows have maybe minute long blips stating the news quickly and easily in tidbits. They are not sitting around discussing economic philosophy.
edit- fixed stupid formatting mistakes.

It appears she found this reddit post and responded by stating she is not the girl your friend has been talking to.
No, it's on their official Facebook page. This is an official statement made by them.
>Regarding the Deus Ex: Human Revolution OnLive Codes: We don’t make a habit of promoting competitive services without a formal partnership. Square Enix packed the competitor’s coupon with our DXHR product without our prior knowledge and we did pull these coupons. While the new products may be opened, we fully guarantee the condition of the discs to be new. If you find this to not be the case, please contact the store where the game was purchased and they will further assist.
It's really annoying that they don't understand that a "new product" opened isn't really "new" anymore...
Here's a quote from the Mormon Stories LGBTQ FB group:
> [I'm] NOT married. Nor [am I] in the closet. Nor [have I] made a lifetime commitment to celibacy. I have been openly in a relationship with my male partner for a number of years, but recently made the decision to leave him (based on several factors).
This is not your "token" LDS gay man.

Well the game will be in one large map, and Strelok's back!
For those stalkers that may have missed this news: Stalker 2's protagonist will be Strelok. It will be taking place in a large-single-area game world (no loading areas). A Stalker movie is currently being filmed along side the game development with a budget of 3 Million USD due to increase in the future.
A christian conservative. I thought their species was rare in Norway.
EDIT: screen shot of his Facebook.
The video is temporarily down -- it will be back up shortly
From their facebook: Roll a D6
Hey everyone! Not sure why the video went down on youtube, we're working on that, so we'll post it here until its back up there!
Since it's been posted, this video has been covered by...well, everyone, including CBS. It went viral insanely fast.
As soon as they post it to a mirror, I'll edit the link here, or someone can reply to this if they find one.
EDIT: The only current link to the video is via Facebook. Credit to gschizas as seen in the comment replying to this one.
>I'm certainly voting for the internet. #elxn41 #NDP http://VoteNet.ca via @OpenMedia_ca
>Jack Layton called OpenMedia.ca out of the blue tonight. He just wanted to let us know he's down with the Internet. We asked if he would raise UBB etc.. in the debate - he said he can't control the topic but would if it made sense. He said he hopes to find other ways to be supportive going forward. Can't say we expected that call.
just an aside- both these dogs have since been rescued. you can donate to the organization via: Kenn Sakurai
They are traveling around the destroyed roads on bikes with cages strapped to the back.
Hey, so I live near the area and am willing to work with anyone to get the word out about what they are doing here. I went to Stevenson, and I fucking HATED IT, but this is yet another evil I do not wish for the students of that evil fucking institution to be subjected to.
Please PM me if you're interested in organizing something. This hits way too close to home for me to not do anything. Hopefully some of you feel the same way.
EDIT: I found a link to a Facebook group of some people getting together to protest this - https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_185938408112292&ap=1
here's a couple of facebook galleries: screen printing is fun and t-shirt designs Enjoy.
From Bill Gates:
"I’m truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs’ death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work. Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives. The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it’s been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely."
