Also, for anyone interested, the first original canon Firefly novel, Big Damn Hero, is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
Can't get link right now, but it's in the subreddit about 18 posts down, I posted it 3 days ago (remember to check the subreddit directly because not everything shows up on your reddit home).
Edit: Link
Hey, I made those! : ) They look great. You should keep a look out for the guys--they'll be available very soon!
My Website and facebook page!
They recently put out two trade volumes of books that collects all of the Dark Horse legacy comics since the licensing has moved to Boom! Comics (who just put out a new run that takes place between the show and the Serenity film simply called Firefly).
Book 1 has:
Serenity: Those Left Behind #1-3
Serenity: Better Days #1-3
One shot: The Other Half
One shot: Downtime
Serenity: The Shepherd’s Tale
Serenity: Float Out #1
One shot: It’s Never Easy
Book 2 has:
Serenity: Leaves on the Wind #1-6
One shot “The Warrior and the Wind”
Serenity: No Power in the ‘Verse #1-6
Here is one reminiscent. If you can’t find them, get a canvas drop cloth you can paint (I did this for a special tent floor, different design).
I only listed a few things that could have been listed but overall was referring to actual substance. The kick starter you're referring to, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/194429923/star-trek-prelude-to-axanar may not have the camera models but they have a lot more.
What they're creative vision looks like and what questions they'll be answering:
"Shot like a History Channel special, Prelude to Axanar will be Star Trek like you have never seen it before, showing the central characters of Axanar giving both a historical and personal account of the war. How did Starfleet build its fleet? How did they hold off a Klingon fleet that had been conquering star systems for centuries? What role did the various founding planets play in Starfleet? Why were the Constitution class ships so important to Starfleet? How did Garth of Izar come to be regarded as the greatest Starfleet Captain of his time?"
A timetable of sorts:
"...which we will film at the beginning of May."
Features:
"The resulting film will be about 20 minutes and also produce about half a dozen vignettes of the characters talking about different subjects."
And along with all of the ACTUAL actors, which adds to the substance and credibility, they showcase the talents of those already involved: "Prelude to Axanar has the amazing talents of Tobias Richter, one of the top Visual Effects artists in the world. What you have seen in our videos is all Tobias and his crew."
I would say the kick starter for this Star Trek fan film is light years ahead of the one op linked. Pun intentional.
If you're planning on going through with this, I suggest using this, rather than complicated timezones calculations: http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/customcount.html
edit: I'm all for though! Have it under my favorites, 720p! <3

Although the game it's for (Firefly Online) hasn't been heard of for many months, so has likely died.
Still, it has all the names of the stars, planets and moons.
He posted a link on the [Behance article](https://www.behance.net/gallery/17677357/Serenity-Firefly-(Quake-III) he linked to somewhere, but for visibility I'll post it here: (http://www.mediafire.com/download/xr1k4q28f714epg/serenity_rp2.zip)
Sigh... It's been too long since Firefly. I thought you meant "River Song" and tried to think of characters like her. Come to think of it, Mal's "Wife" is very much like River Song.
Edit: Stephen Moffat, current Doctor Who showrunner and creator of the River Song character, is watching Firefly and loves it! https://twitter.com/steven_moffat/status/104724327827652609
This idea was brought to light a month ago in this exact subreddit with a link to a post by MG Siegler of TechCrunch. I'm not a fan of TechCrunch in general, but I at least know that their post was linked to honestly by a genuine redditor. This submitter, on the other hand, is nothing but a spammer.
You should sweden your experience by watching Serenity!
There's norway you won't like it!
Unfortunately it doesn't look like it's streaming for free, but a lot of places will let you watch it for $4, and it's totally worth it!
Just download the Reddit app and log in: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/redditinc/reddit/
If you live in US, CA, UK, or AU, you can get it officially through Google Play.
The link I sent bypasses the region lock if you live in EU or any other part of the world that currently doesn't have access to it.

The lines were taken from the poem "the Abyss". Admittedly weak evidence from here suggests that it was chanted as a mantra by kamikaze pilots during WWII. However, I have not been able to find other evidence of this since posting.
Also received a lovely set of Firefly-themed soap from one of my best friends, which she found on Etsy. I've tried the Hero of Canton soap and am waiting for more character themes to pop up before making a purchase.
It's a browser/app no-player-online game. You're a god and have a hero and you can just let him be or punish him or do good. The real reason for playing it are the ridiculous interactions or thoughts of your hero and the stats.
Consult godvillegame.com for the international translation and godville.net for the original Russian version.
Its a growing catalog of user submitted fictional objects that hold mysterious properties (equivalent to artifacts of Warehouse 13, but usually even weirder). The project started in 2008.
SCP stands for 'Secure, Contain, Protect', and all of these objects are given a number preceded by 'SCP'. SCP 173 is a popular example.
There is even a game based off of the foundation called SCP Containment Breach in which the player is a 'class D', a person forced to become a subject amongst the SCPs. An experiment goes terribly wrong and you have to escape the procedural generated facility with all this crazy shit on the loose wanting to kill you.
Interesting side note: Stage 25 at Sony Studios (which is where this picture was taken) was used to film the Pilot of "Dr. Ken" 4 months ago. Not sure if they are continuing there or not.
I'm not sure who these ladies are, but they were also on Stage 25 a month ago. HERE. I think it's Your family or Mine
There's a handy app called JustWatch. You can search pretty much anything and even put in what you subscribe so that shows up in your searches. It's also a website. I use this thing like CRAZY!
If you give me a few minutes, I'll try and do a quick transcription.
EDIT: I'm not up to a full on transcription today but I did check around a bit. Here's what I have discovered. This version at Songsterr is awfully close, if not spot on to the OST, EXCEPT that it is 3 half steps low. Capo at the 3rd fret if you want the original key and all tab is relative to the capo.
Netflix has done it both ways. You really don't want to watch it in the order it aired. You want to watch it in DVD order. The order
think geek will hook you up
EDIT: oops, you meant the dictionary and not the board game also mentioned in this thread. in that case amazon
The dress is rather terrible. I was just coming to post this. I think the v cuts just aren't deep enough. They're kind of thin and awkward looking. And the weird thick band going around her neck isn't flattering either. It kind of looks like the old felt christmas bulbs my grandma use to make and put on the christmas tree.
She should talk to her lady and go for a deeper V
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, here are some Trailers
More of Gina Torres: Cleopatra 2525
I can't say it was good; my memory is just that it was campy fun. Hulu says, "Action goddess Gina Torres stars in the sizzling series about a cryogenically frozen exotic dancer who, after accidentally being thawed in the year 2525, joins two sexy freedom fighters in their battle against evil robots called Bailies. Led by the mysterious "Voice," this tempestuous trio must out-fight, out-seduce and out-maneuver the forces that threaten to destroy the world."
Let's see:
Paint-huffing shitgoblin, really.
Some good stuff hanging about on Fanfiction.net.
There's some not so good, but I'd recommend ebfiddler's stuff. That kept me with a fix. Then there's Mr Brust's My own kind of freedom The advantage to both of these being, text files is small, less chance of overunning these bandwidth restrictions you mention.
This: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3486089/1/The_Man_With_No_Name is a Doctor Who/Firefly crossover, which takes a different tack on handling the "FTL travel, why did nobody get in touch?" question.
Forward is pretty good for a fanfic. It tries really hard to keep the characters realistic, and does it fairly well. It starts out a bit rocky (with the writer focusing on getting the 'verse right), but gets quite a lot better as it goes on.
Nice! Here's the picture on the NASA website and on Flickr.
If you want ambiance during a tabletop game or a FF RPG session, Music To Smuggle By is a great choice: https://www.amazon.com/Music-Smuggle-Original-Video-Soundtrack/dp/B07BC2ZWF6
Its also available on iTunes. Its by the musician who composed the soundtrack for the game.
I could only find a high res version of the The Verse.
you should look at British West Wing, the first few season are blue and just totally different to the rest,
you can see it here and scroll down to see the other design, which you can now get for all the seasons it seems. https://www.amazon.co.uk/West-Wing-Season-Part-Episodes/dp/B00009PBHM/
Oh yes they do, and it's amazing. Read A Shepherd's Tale (Vol. 3).
Hi, very excited to find there are comics, found some on amazon, are these them? Which do you recommend? Thanks in advance!

If it helps, the piano music for Firefly says "Have no place..." when you do the "look inside" on Amazon.
There's also a "Pop Art" release that WalMart carries, for cheap (B&N, too, as preorder, for a bit more; WM has it in stores now on a special rack with other "Pop Art" covers). DVD only, same content as standard DVD release. Nice even if you only care about the artwork. (Image is of River with the two weapons)
it is, it came from the firefly loot crate most of the stuff is by qxm, they missed a bunch of deliveries and sent them as an apology i ended up with like 6 of them

A tip: buy yourself a couple of these Really Useful Box sets: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006RIL98G
The boxes more than hold all the components for quick storage and set up, but most importantly the organiser can be used as a card tray for all the decks and the discard piles! Pass it around the table so people can browse the shops when it's not their turn. Saved me a LOT of table space.
I'm also considering fixing some sheet metal to the back of the playmat and adding magnets to the bases of all the ships. I can then play with the board propped up against the wall.
The Return to Earth That Was Deluxe Edition has been announced: https://www.amazon.ca/Firefly-Return-Earth-That-Deluxe/dp/1684158699/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=AB4ND56Z8THR&keywords=return+to+earth+that+was&qid=1644837584&sprefix=return+to+earth+that+wa%2Caps%2C182&sr=8-2
There are some models on Thingiverse.
Somewhere I saw a link to a google drive directory with a .3ds, a .blend, and several high res copies of posters. A search for "firefly 3d model" brings up several links with varying quality.
Looks like you all have it covered, but for future reference, JustWatch is a pretty handy resource. It'll tell you where a given show is available for streaming, renting, or buying.
The conflict of looking out for yourself, doing what's right, and trying to protect your heart while falling in love. Is there anyone you would give up everything for?

I’d also recommend checking out the Boom! Comics series. There’s 8 Volumes, I’ve got them all in hardcover.
Many consider My Own Kind Of Freedom - by Steven Brust to be the best of them. At least it is written by a professional Sci-fi author.
Artist here! waves - you can get this at RedBubble and it's in my Etsy store too :)
Glad you guys like it :)
Now see, constructive critism like this is helpful. Anyway...
I like lens flares though! An homage to the brilliance of Abrams and his use of them... :p I just threw it in there for fun. Also the Serenity that is not in the picture is that way because of some crazy after image deal that happened in editing with the back portion. Edit: I'll have to start over with the original image, as well as derp, I forgot about the reflections of the blue planet they were orbiting... Edit, found better cast photo... There are lots of them, up to insane resolutions, but it's all post show stuff.
Also the Firefly logo was going to be the Serenity logo, still searching for one.
In the end I may drop the ship being so prominent maybe and focus on the cast, put a blueprint of it somewhere in the corner with the Serenity/Firefly logo.
edit: The two images I'm working on now for the background...
Well later she tweeted this image: http://yfrog.com/h3sn8nej with the text: > Does this look sort of erotic, or is it just because I'm a food-obsessed fruitcake?
(Full tweet: https://twitter.com/#!/JewelStaite/status/48413497096278016 )
And if you ask me: Yes, it does look erotic :)
Save table space with these business card holders:
I have all expansions except Crime and Punishment and the supply and contact decks fit quite nicely. Decks go in horizontally and Primed cards/discards are vertical. Nav decks, misbehave, and bounty decks are still on the table though.
Makes passing the decks easy to review discards between turns easy too.
The big problem with it is that there's no real interaction- So a 4 player game ends up being more like 4 simultaneous solo games. The Blue Sun and Kalidasa add ons are fun, but the Pirates and Bounty Hunters expansion should be first on your list because it adds all of the PvP and such that the core set lacks.
One of the top links, seller on Amazon, says they’re sitting on 20 Firefly Board Game: Kalidasa Expansion Board Game https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013SFW91G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_1TS47XHMNDW657QHT431?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you have limited table space, i use 2 8-pocket business card holders. Perfect for all the decks. Contact decks fit in one holder and the supply decks (plus Harken) fit in the other. They can be passed around the table as needed or the "deck master" can deal as needed.
The 3 nav decks, misbehave deck, and bounty deck are the only ones left on the table.
You can get 2 for ~$12 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Hipiwe-Pockets-Acrylic-Business-Countertop/dp/B078Y42TPB/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=Business+card+holder+8+pocket&qid=1621198316&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzN1lOS01VSFRKUFZS...
This Etsy shop came up as one of the first in a simple Google search.
Amazon seems to have some. (Non-affiliate, Smile link)
Who knows why Boom decided to publish Blue Sun Rising before New Sheriff in the Verse. These are the issue you're looking for, in regular hardcover format.

I honestly don't know. Maybe if you did it on your phone or iPad, but I'd think that it would default to the domain of the email address under which the Netflix account is registered. If it's a US account, etc etc. That said, you can get physical discs fairly inexpensively if you want to go that route. You could just purchase the series in HD on Amazon for $7:
According to Amazon, it's a 10th anniversary poster--currently unavailable through that site, but you might be able to find it elsewhere! https://www.amazon.com/QMX-Firefly-10th-Anniversary-Poster/dp/B009I3TWMM
Bought Jayne Beanie
Came to say that. There are apps on the Play Store that will read .epub (the most common e-reader format), .mobi (Kindle's format), and almost any other e-book file type. As far as apps, there's the Kindle app, of course, and I use the Aldiko app on my tablet to read e-books of all stripes.
Don't use Hola.
Zenmate is a good free alternative, only got the US and Germany though.
I'd use a dns changer instead like http://unblock-us.com
Free trial and you can select any (bigger) country where Netflix is available. Also no speed loss.
It has all the scripts. Character write ups. Prop stuff. Lots of pictures. Shit it even has some of the money
Mine has never been noticed. However, I have a Starfleet Command, San Francisco Shipyards parking permit sticker on my windshield. I've had more than one drive through worker thank me for my service. LOL!
My girlfriend and I just got it too. I went all out and got all the expansions and everything. We decided to play the first couple rounds with just the main game but are adding in booster packs as we go along. It's a bunch of fun.
One thing I'd recommend is getting the "Whole Damn Verse" Map. For 35 bucks the map lays out really nicely and includes the expansions areas too. I bought it on a whim because I love Firefly, but after seeing the game board look like a pair of pants, I'm so glad I spent the cash on it!
Searched through my order history and found where/when I got it, don't remember what seller I bought from but here's the amazon link
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013WAUCC/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_tNa0ybGHGYW49

There are either 4 or 5 comic runs - they're usually 3-4 issues at a time, iirc. That one is specifically book's history.
Required reading, really.
For less messy amazon links you can extract the part after "/dp/" in
and make it:
BEEP BOP
Plz send any recommendations via PM
And if anyone is actually interested in playing The Resistance, play the Avalon version instead; best party game in existence unless you have very sensitive people in your group..or very, very bad bluffers.
Long story short, I got mine as a review copy from Titan Books, but you can find it on Amazon for sure.
If she's into card games, and has friends to play with, you could get her Tall Card or Firefly Fluxx.
Yep. I read them too damn fast and I was again left with that empty lonely feeling. Now I've only got this left to thumb through.
http://www.amazon.com/Firefly-A-Celebration-Anniversary-Edition/dp/1781161682
Buy yourself two of these! It makes Firefly so much easier, especially if you have both expansions.
Well, if you look at the Amazon listing, 90% of the reviews are 4 star or higher. I've played it with a dozen people or so, not all Firefly fans, and the game is extremely well received.
As far as how it relates to other games, it gives you a huge amount of freedom. The best way I can describe it is that it's a free roaming board game. You have end goals that you work toward, but how you get there is 100% up to you. You can go anywhere, talk to anyone, buy anything, arrange your crew and equip them however you wish.
Full disclosure, the first time you play won't be a 'real' game. The rule book is daunting the first time you look through it, but that's mainly due to how you have to set the board and your ships up. After a few turns, everything makes sense and it's actually a ridiculously easy game to play.
Since I'm replying to so many of your comments in here, you should consider checking out our game Firefly: Fistful of Credits. Of course, I helped make it so I'm not going to waste your time trying to convince you it's the best thing ever, but I can attest that we put a lot of effort into making it feel like a true Firefly game (as opposed to just slapping a Firefly logo on something we already had), and personally I have a lot of fun playing it with Firefly fan friends (though honestly it might not be as fun for non-fans who aren't super familiar with the show). It can take 30 min - 1 hour to play, so it's pretty in between being a quick on-the-go game and a huge time commitment.
I was talking more about these, there seem to be a lot of them in the related field.
