So let me get this straight:
Bell, Rogers and Videotron were the ones who searched his house, not LEO.
The search lasted 4 hours longer than it was legally allowed to.
Defendant was forced to answer questions under duress.
Defendant is forced to sign over passwords to email/social media. Again not by LEO, but Bell, Rogers and Videotron.
Defendant was denied right to counsel.
Fuck Rogers, Fuck Bell, Fuck Videotron and Fuck Canada for letting this happen.
Amazon Prime (unless we're boycotting them, I don't know), many networks air their shows on their websites next-day.
Googling Showname s0Xe0X will usually link you to some video sharing sites.
https://kodi.tv/ with the appropriate add-ons.
Look up kodi:
Its free, open source, no tracking at all, no ads, steadily updated. Its what plex is based on.
You can easily put it on $35 raspberry pi.
Get a 3b+ model. Its the latest and greatest.
To install kodi on the pi,I recommend librelec. It greatly simplifies getting this up and running:
Kodi.tv has been seized.
> This domain name has been seized by ICE - Homeland Security Investigations, pursuant to a seizure warrant issued by a United States District Court under the authority of 18 U.S.C 981 and 2323.
You can use Kodi. Look it up, it's free and infinitely way better than Netflix.
If you're not familiar with computers, it might be a pain to setup. But if you have basic knowledge, install Kodi and have a blast and never look back. This is what I did to cut cable and cancel Netflix once I heard that they supported Clinton and blasted Trump. Fuck that CEO piece of shit.
Also Kodi isn't what provides this content. These are addons provided by other people. So Kodi is just as much a platform as the Android OS it runs on.
The Kodi project is really worried about how their name is being connected to piracy.
No disrespect, but I would recommend anyone interested in using Kodi on iOS install it from the stock repo, and then install the latest build directly from Kodi https://kodi.tv/download and install via Filza if jailbroken. If you're running stock, you can always side load Kodi using impactor. I used these methods with no issues but now I've sideloaded with Xcode using my dev account. Those with iX will want to use a nightly as the current public build doesn't have correct resolution support.
First thing as a reporter, you should start by doing some investigation on your own, after all you are the one getting paid to write the story, are you not? After you do that investigation you might have some actual questions that don't get a laugh out of the experienced people. BTW best to avoid ANY and ALL articles that proclaim Kodi doom and gloom and sky is falling hyperbole, that is all FAKE NEWS, honestly it is!
Next, nothing writes a better story than experiencing it first hand, so go install Kodi and read the sticky thread at the top for suggested addons and enjoy some TV while you join us in laughing at all those silly and ignorant bloggers, Youtubers, reporters and journalist that make silly claims like there is a 'termination of stream' and a 'death of Kodi add-ons' proving they feed on sensationalized hyperbole and hear say.
NOT SAFE TO PRINT unless you donate $2500 with proof to the XBMC Foundation so they can continue to develop their fine media player.
Here is a link https://kodi.tv/contribute/donate
My laptop has an i5 processor, 8GB RAM and some kind of Intel VGA. I use my 40" TV as a monitor almost 100% of the time. I also have a proper mouse and keyboard like you would expect from the old school guy that I am.
I use MX Linux with /r/i3wm. The programs I use the most are:
I use this computer for everything that I do, like for example:
I also use a lot of reddit, of course. I don't use my computer for videogames and my PS4 is collecting dust.
Windows makes me impatient, but I would certainly dual-boot if I had the need. Luckily, that is not the case right now.
I have about 20 years of experience with Linux, but I'm not an IT person. I just like Linux a lot.
Exodus is specific plug-in for a program called Kodi that lets you watch free streaming video.

i know this is a bit late but hopefully this may help someone for the future games. This requires a bit of work but once it's up and running, it's pretty good. I'm watching Yupp TV on it and it's been stable throughout the match.
Here's how to enjoy live cricket:
Install Kodi TV https://kodi.tv/. It's available on PC and Mac.
You can install several video addons to watch live and on-demand TV. Before you install the addons, you need to install a repository which contains it.
The video addon we are interested in is ZEM TV.
For Zem TV, install the "Shani's repository". The whole process is listed here: https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-zemtv-for-xbmc-kodi/
Once installed, go to Video > Addons > Zem TV > Sports. Yupp TV should be listed there.
Hope this helps.
> They don't care if people even use Kodi.
Then why do they have a social media presence? What purpose would it serve? Why not just stay in their forums, where users have to agree to certain rules to post, which will at least filter out some of the noise. If getting pissed at people on twitter, facebook, reddit, whatever, is bothersome.... why do it?
Its not a commercial product. There is no support. They keep reiterating how they do not care how many people use it. Yet they also keep reiterating how irritated they are at the users.
Just ignore it all, get on with development for whatever reason you do it, and be done with it. No more hassle. No more asshole users bugging you. No connection to piracy. Argue in github and kodi forum posts, and thats it. A controlled environment like that would certainly ease all this stress they apparently are suffering from.
>They don't sell it.
Also not exactly true. Some of the time, certain devs have been paid to work on Kodi. Kodi receives donations, hosts conferences, courts commercial partnerships, and has many sponsors. Not a lot of money, for sure, but a lot more than many other open source projects. There is money involved.
They have two new skins starting with v17:
https://kodi.tv/a-brand-new-look-for-future-kodi-versions/
Personally, I still use the "Titan" skin by marcelveldt, but Estuary is an enormous improvement from the terrible Confluence skin.
Kodi still takes putting some effort in to get it working the way you want it, but I gave in ~18 months ago and switched to it from WMC and am very happy with the switch. That extra effort comes with a ton of possibilities (like control of my Hue lights in the living room to dim when a movie is playing, just for one example). But once your initial setup is done, you can just generally leave everything and not need any additional maintenance. And now with it being in the Store, I won't have to manually keep my three PCs all up to date, so I'm very excited about this.
Begrijp me niet verkeerd.
edits: bewoording
Ooh got one. Kodi.
Idk how many people actively use it and all, but it is a fairly popular media player. But GOD THE ADDON FUNCTIONALITY. It's a great player as is, but the moment you look at the way addons are implemented. Of itselt, It looks fairly simple.
So you try and create your own add-on (I tried a week ago)...
You have to have an init python method. Not a seperate file, just a function. Then another function for Kodi's init. You have to import a whole bunch of Kodi dependencies even though it's a modified python for add-ons and is required for ANY add-on. Then, instead of a simple function to add a menu item like menu.add(), there is a large array you have to add it to.....
Do you have a computer or a phone?
If you're curious about Kodi, which is what these 'android tv boxes' run, you can get a version for almost any computer OS or mobile device that you are likely to be running here: https://kodi.tv/download/
Throw Fusion on (search for Youtube videos for how to add Fusion to Kodi) and you'll be all set.
The advantage of these boxes is that 'everything' is set up for you already and they have a small footprint for living room use.
But, if you want to try it without spending any money, you can.
Voice typing! I can finally search for TV shows and movies using the mic on my FireStick remote, instead of having to hunt and peck for each letter.
This Kodi box is setup and marketed directly as a box that will stream movies and TV that you do not pay for. Pirating
I am not saying he is pirating Kodi, he is advocating, promoting, and marketing using it to access pirated material.
https://kodi.tv/the-piracy-box-sellers-and-youtube-promoters-are-killing-kodi/
Kodi media center, point it at a folder full of movies. Turns it into a personal netflix basically. Grabs cover art, actors, descriptions, organizes into ganres, ratings etc. On top of that it just has tons of media center uses in general. Check it out if your interested
...
It's a term commonly used to refer to a PC that's used in the living room, plugged into the TV, to play movies and games, like a console.
For example, Kodi (A.K.A XBMC) has "Open Source Home Theatre Software" in its title, despite it being used for couch gaming as much as watching movies.
And as my link showed, SteamOS is in fact designed for PCs used in living rooms for the purpose of playing movies and games on the TV while sitting on a couch. Not for desktops.
Kodi is a Media Center app that supports add-ons
Kodi itself doesn't provide the add-ons for free movies, those are made by third party developers and not supported by Team Kodi (or even on the official Kodi forum)
You are correct though in that Kodi with those third party add-ons can get free movies...
The simple fact that people keep associating Kodi with "free cable" or the like is really hurting it though...
They are totally ripping you off. All they do is load Kodi, and add a few third party video add-ons.
Kodi (formerly XBMC) is a VERY reputable media center application. Many of the boxes sold are simply a linux box (some kind of ARM, perhaps x86) with Kodi installed. Kodi can play pretty much anything with hardware acceleration, which is why these boxes work so well for their price.
Either way, you've got a supply chain model like this:
1) Company sells box with Kodi pre-installed and advertises Kodi as a feature (Kodi is quite against this: https://kodi.tv/the-piracy-box-sellers-and-youtube-promoters-are-killing-kodi/)
2) Guy in Canada imports these boxes, and "value adds" the plugins to stream TV / videos. These plugins are free, and you can find them with simple Googling. For obvious reasons, I'm not listing any. Guy then re-sells these boxes withe the add-ons advertised, listing TV for free due to the grey nature of downloading (not to be confused with distributing ie/ Torrents).
If you want to try out Kodi, just download it from their website, http://Kodi.tv. It is a media center program, and all built-in features are fully legal.
Kodi is a solid program that will run over a normal windows/linux environment but will act very much like a roku or someething like that. Also plex is a solid option as well. https://kodi.tv/about/software
I'm hoping once 18 comes out they can really get back to the RERO announcement they made back in April 2016. Since that announcement they've actually taken more time to release the past 2 versions than the 10 before it. I get that 17 had a huge videoplayer update that took time and 18.0 will likely be UWP and 64bit on windows, but I'm still confused on why they would announce that prior to those two large changes in the next two versions. Maybe they'll get started on RERO now, or maybe we'll just pretend like that blog post never happened.
For reference, the average release between kodi A and Kodi J was 295 days between releases. For H, I, J the average was 220, so that's probably a more realistic expectation of current development. They announced RERO in April 2016, 2 months after Kodi J was released. The next major release, K, came 350 days after J, and L is currently 283 days past the release of K and we haven't even an official Alpha release yet (aside from nightlies). The idea was to have new releases with smaller updates every few months, but it looks like we're still very much on the once-a-year schedule.
I'm a big fan of RERO since Google, Firefox, and other browsers began using it but I'm not sure team Kodi has gotten the hang of it yet.
As far as I can gather:
Kodi is apparently quite relieved that the EU has definitely ruled "pirate boxes" illegal. If you're using one of these (and this probably the case if you're getting subscription channels at a reduced rate), just know that the service you're using is in breach of the law, and that there is no technical or other support.
there are many ways to go around flash in those places. Kodi has many addons and livestreamer also supports many sites allowing you to use a player of your choice
flash is cancer. keep it uninstalled.
Use the HGTV addons from Kodi.tv
It is an official addon

The article said Microsoft helped the team develop the UWP version of Kodi.
> In fact, with the help and guidance of Microsoft some of our developers started to work in top secret on getting this a reality.
Also, Microsoft gave the the Kodi team the opporunity to present at Microsoft Build event about the success of Kodi on the Windows Store.
https://kodi.tv/article/kodi-presenting-microsoft-build-2017
Doesn't seem like MS is about to swoop down and kick them out considering they seem to like what they're doing and support them.
https://kodi.tv/a-brand-new-look-for-future-kodi-versions/ > Today will mark a new milestone in the history of the project as we announce our two new default skins. Yes you read it correct, two new skins. The first one is called Estuary...
Yes, it's just a skin. There may be other updates that improved performance, but what you are talking about is just a skin.
Literally one week after Kodi posted about these boxes on their website.
I own one of these boxes (bought it before the real Android TV was really a thing, for the HEVC-capable chipset) and let me say these work like shit. No updates, if something goes wrong you're f*cked unless you have a good knowledge of Android modding / hacking. The promise of free TV is actually a modded Kodi (buggy version) loaded with a bunch of shady add-ons without any support, who will just stop working without a warning. I could go on and on describing how shitty the software is.
The author of this article is completely misinformed. It actually just looks like a very nice marketing campaign for these pirated boxes resellers. I can't believe CBC won't take this misleading post down very soon...
https://kodi.tv/article/kodi-leia-182-release

There's a link in there with a "changelog" but it's just going over all the commits since 18.1. Looks like it's mostly a bug-fix release.
My mother uses Kodi, and if I wasn't visiting my parents and didn't stumble on this post, it would've taken her much longer to notice there's no new TV shows being added.
I fixed it by following the suggestion of /u/vgnftw. I simply downloaded the latest version from the website and installed the zip file.
Cheers!
THIS IS BLOGSPAM ! It is word-for-word copied from the official Kodi website: https://kodi.tv/article/kodi-xbox-one
Mods - please ban the OP /u/thekaal - he runs this website, and all he does on Reddit is post links to his blogspam. It's 100% stolen content, with sidebars filled with Affiliate Marketing ads.
Open source media player, faster and better made than the software on the boxes AT&T etc. give you, loads of great official apps, ability to play all your files over the network and critically - a shitload of apps that give you pretty much every movie and TV show ever broadcast
They attached news about it at the top of this post:
https://kodi.tv/article/kodi-v172-minor-bug-fix-and-security-release
" Update: Due to packaging issue after release some add-ons like PVR, visualisation and Inputstream are missing. Also on Ubuntu 14.04 an issue came to light. We will release v17.3 as soon as we can to solve this problem. "
> Personally, I don't think Kodi has the best quality from Premier League streams, but maybe your experience will be better.
I think it's worth pointing out that Kodi doesn't have anything to do with sourcing media, you need to do that yourself by installing the requisite media source plugins. They're also very keen to disassociate themselves with what they term "piracy boxes".
Stinger scene notification: This add-on notifies you of stinger scenes in the current movie, popping up a notification when the credits roll. It uses tags to identify movies that have a stinger scene, which can be automatically added by the Universal Movie Scraper from The Movie Database. https://kodi.tv/addon/services/stinger-scene-notification
Keymap Editor: is a GUI for configuring mappings for remotes, keyboard and other inputs. https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Keymap_Editor
To my knowledge you can use the Original PseudoTV which only supports local media, or my last released build v.0.8.0f....
As for crowdfunding If you want to help support this project send a Donation to Kodi or you could buy me a beer. https://kodi.tv/contribute/donate, http://pseudotvlive.com/index.php/support/donations
Otherwise WTF is the point... I've spent a lot of my time working on this project; perhaps if users would be polite I could be less reserved when it comes to releasing a beta... However seeing how hostile the Kodi community has become; its in my best interest to release a final finished plugin rather than deal with the nonsense.
I never understood why users become so hostile over free software? Especially one as complex as PTVL !? I take no pleasure in having users wait for a release, and posts like this make me wonder why I bother... PTVL v.0.9.x is nearing a release candidate which will be immediately followed with v.1.0.0 release.
BTW u/fritzTLDR has 5 points for his post !? that's wonderful... I'll leave the future of this project in the hands of the users... if he gets 10 points i'll close up shop, and retire the project. Nobody deserves this crap!
I got a raspberry pi connected to my tv with this vrt.nu plugin for kodi running on it.
Works great. Can easily switch between the live streams and the available content or my own shows.
Hi, yes, "they" is partly me. I literally wrote the Kodi renaming blog post you are talking about. I and /u/darksiderising were responding to the fact that the OP did not say "XBMC." He or she said, "XMBC" which is a common misspelling of XBMC. Ironically, half the people replying to this thread then continued misspelling it.
My joke back in the XBMC days when somebody would misspell it was to reference the XrossMediaBar. So for fun, I did that again here.
Scrap/uninstall the default install of kodi on your android box.
Start fresh from kodi.tv Install convenant addon (google is your friend) install video scraper apk (to find even more streams in covenant)
Alternative:
install terrarium app on your andorid box. All in one streamer app.
The only thing these guys will listen to is the stream of money. Canceling your subscription and telling them exactly why you do it is the only sword swing that hits. Every workaround is just a show for the gallery, your temporary solution won't work long term. This is what you get from using closed source services, you have no control of it really. You are just a enslaved passenger that even payed for you ticket to be a slave. Look at fully Open Source projects like Streama or Kodi instead and you will have the freedom at your hands forever. Under the GPL license you are free to change any bits of code that you don't agree upon, and the source code is open for you to inspect, change and share your changes. These softwares are even free so you don't have to pay for it, but please seriously consider making donations or get involved!
You should include the PS Vue kodi add-on in your build for him.
It should work, If you send him a google drive link he could download the file to his devices (Shield TV and Mi Box) and then tell the backup add-on where to look for that file and restore it.
You could also setup an Aftermath Wizard with your build. Then you could use it to update the build over time for him. Here is a YouTube video about Aftermath Wizard.
Brings you to their site. But once you complete all the steps and go through the add-ons. There's one add-on for strictly South Park and it gets updated with new episodes.
Fun fact, a few years ago "your favor kodi setup" rarely meant "how have you altered the skin" and instead referred to how have you set up your home theater. There was even a friday blog series I wrote on the subject.
It's a collaborative effort. Microsoft was first to port Kodi using their own Desktop App Converter (which is available from Windows store btw.).
They then showed it to the Kodi devs who got interested in further developing the port. That's basically where it's currently.
> Not long after Microsoft made their announcement, a representative contacted us asking us if we were willing to be part of the Windows Store. They told us they had tried the Desktop Bridge converter with Kodi and had successfully converted the application. We were quite shocked that converting Kodi was this easy, and of course gladly accepted the cooperation Microsoft offered to get it done.
I honestly don't even get how this scam is getting attention. Kodi (the company that creates the software this box uses) has already started cracking down on these scam artists.
https://kodi.tv/the-piracy-box-sellers-and-youtube-promoters-are-killing-kodi/
Yes, you should upgrade. There are a lot of improvements in playback, both for audio and video (exactly what depends on your platform and hardware). You probably won't see a noticeable change in visual quality, which is what you appear to be concerned with. But the numerous other improvements mean a much more stable and smooth experience.
One drawback to Kodi 19.x ("Matrix") is that the software has moved to Python 3 for its addon architecture. If the developer of your favorite addon has not updated their addon to use the current standard, the addon might not work under Matrix. But I've yet to see an addon which didn't work. All the ones I've tried in the Kodi repository work perfectly, and the few third-party addons I use run just as smoothly.
Python 3. That's what Kodi needs to adapt: https://kodi.tv/article/attention-addon-developers-migration-python-3 Not sure why some packages are dragging this move so much... virt-manager is in my list too.
Not trying to argue, but here is the Kodi download page: https://kodi.tv/download
Pretend you know nothing about Kodi, and tell me how (based on what is available through the Kodi.tv download page) you would install Kodi to Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV 2, Apple TV 4, iPhone, iPad, Raspberry Pi...
They simply do not provide that information in a manner that's even remotely easy for newbies to begin to comprehend.
Kodi: Video decoding with dx11 DXVA has limited color range output (16-235 instead of 0-255). Crimson driver only. Kodi developers claims they can't handle it because it's a driver bug.

System Configuration:
GPU: RX560, HD7750, HD5670
Driver: any Crimson driver
OS: Windows 7 x64 7601

1. Install Crimson driver, GPU and Kodi (https://kodi.tv/) or any other dx11 accelerated video player.
2. Enable DXVA in settings.
3. Play any video.

Actual Behavior:
Video has washed colors, black is dark grey, white is light grey.
That link you gave us goes to an old version of kodi that is not from the offical site. What the fuck are you up to nigger? The guy in the YT vid is using the new version are you getting people to install a version with malware?
Edit: The official site is (https://kodi.tv/) This kodi live tries to get you to install an addon to your searching in your browser to monitor you OP is either an idiot or did something shady on purpose.
I gift you Kodi and the ares wizard tutorial. You now have the resources for free tv on all stations and streaming of all live sports.
To be fair kodi isn't designed for piracy, and doesn't officially support it in any way. It is an amazing media player though, and you can run it on almost anything. I have it set up on my ouya (only thing it's good for lol) and it's fantastic, supports any format I can throw at it.
If you do have a seedbox or vps that you use for torrenting, then kodi is also great in that you can connect directly to it over ftp or whatever and stream all the torrents that you download. Kinda gets you the best of both worlds.
Kodi (formerly known as XBMC) is an award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media center for playing videos, music, pictures, games, and more. Kodi runs on Linux, OS X, Windows, iOS, and Android, featuring a 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls.
For more info: https://kodi.tv/about/
When I was in the ninth grade, I compiled the MythTV fronted on my old and slow PPC iMac, I had to leave it running overnight. Took a whopping 10 and a half hours! I'm so glad that I use Kodi now!
There's also a lot of Minecraft mods that I need to compile myself with Gradle. Some of the bigger ones can take about 20 minutes to compile. Hell, you need to compile the Spigot server yourself, and that can sometimes take me nearly an hour! If I wasn't using a bottom-of-the-line MBP from 2009, everything would be compiling much faster.
OP, if your son is interested in programming, don't skimp out on CPU power!
Ah, you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting started so :)
I'd go with Kodi first if you've never used a Pi before:
It's fairly quick to get started and a great way of bringing your whole photo, music, and video collection together on the big screen. Uses you TV's remote too, so no extra clutter either.
Install Kodi: https://kodi.tv/download
Install Covenant Add-On for Kodi: https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-the-covenant-kodi-krypton/
Use Covenant to search for Dragon Ball.
Watch any Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z/DB Super/etc.. ever made
(This works best if you install Kodi on a Raspberry Pi but it can work on anything)
Welcome. A good place to start is the official forum at Https://forum.kodi.tv and this subreddit. You say you're "sick of finding streaming sites" which implies that perhaps you've been misinformed as to what Kodi is actually about. Take a look at https://kodi.tv/about for an idea. That being said, is you're looking for ways too consume pirated TV shows and movies then these are not the communities for you as we don't support that.
Kodi (formerly known as XBMC) is my personal choice for home theatre PC setup. I am not at home, so this 2013 screenshot of one of very, very many possible GUI configurations for it will have to do.
My brother-in-law uses Plex, though I am not a fan.
A relative uses a Kodi setup with MythTV for Live TV/DVR. See this.
>Kodi box
These are not 'Kodi boxes'. They are illegal piracy boxes. They are not okay. They are abusing the Kodi name. Stop supporting them and stop promoting them. They create a massive branding and support headache for the Kodi team, who are just trying to create useful totally legal software.
Kodi is open source software, so you are allowed to use it in those boxes. But they must not call themselves Kodi, and you shouldn't support any that do.
Most importantly, you don't need a 'Kodi box'. You can install Kodi on an old computer you still have, or a newly built on. You can install it on a Raspberry Pi or another cheap computer. It's easy to install, completely free software that supports your human rights by being open source.
Just whatever you do, don't support the people taking the software that the community has built, filling it up with malware and pirated content and selling it at hugely inflated prices under a brand name they have no right to use.
First of all, Kodi is not gray area. It's the way people use it that make it gray. By default, their own repository doesn't have anything gray and so many people make this mistake of confusing Kodi with piracy or something like that. It's like saying Windows means piracy because there is pirated software and game out there that can be used on Windows.
Same goes for TV. Kodi is just a platform. They don't provide IPTV, they provide only the means to do that, in a legal way.
So please, stop confusing Kodi with piracy, it has nothing to do with it. You can read more about how this is killing Kodi: https://kodi.tv/the-piracy-box-sellers-and-youtube-promoters-are-killing-kodi/
Officially, it is a media center program.
In function with add-ons, it is a streaming torrent or web mirror loading program so you can pirate videos more easily in your living room.
I'm not sure what you're asking for. The current version Kodi is compatible with Windows 7. You shouldn't have to do anything special to install it. Just download the Windows installer and run the installer.
>The "compatible with old PCs" media center program doesn't have any text anywhere.
I have no clue what you're referring to. Please explain.
It doesn't make sense to go only against those boxes. Also this is not against streaming software in general. It is against streaming software designated and marketed for piracy. See also here.
I'd agree with that. The direction Valve wants to take Steam OS doesn't seem to be the same direction as a traditional desktop based operating system (at least in my eyes). It looks like more of a light weight media centre... Kinda like xbmc/Kodi. Sure you can exit Big picture mode and it puts you into the desktop but I think that isn't their priority at all to have a working desktop experience. But since every game that runs on and will run on steam OS will work on pretty much any other Linux distribution.
I don't think SteamOS is a good alternative to Windows but as someone who runs Linux daily for the past 3 years I'd say Linux is, and every year it just gets stronger in that regard. Still has a long way to go before every gamer can say it's the right move but right now it's as strong as its ever been.
I prefer Kodi. It's got pretty much the same features, but I think Kodi looks nicer (i.e. it's far more customizable); and I like the fact that it's open source and completely free. Hell, the latest version even has a little bit of my work running in it!
It also supports UPNP streaming, but the device it's playing on needs to be able to decode the video. There's no server-side transcoding in Kodi.
If you want to, you can even connect Kodi to a Plex server!
Goto https://kodi.tv/download/ pick the appropriate OS and download the latest version of Kodi. The only reasons to run 18 at this point are that you have an addon or two that you can't live without, and they aren't updating their addon to 19, or you have been running 18 for an extended length of time, every thing works, and you don't need to update until it breaks, which it will.
Its a Kodi Touchscreen issue. Kodi has fixed the issue and will be rolled out in 19.2, BUT you can install the Kodi 19.1 nightly/Prerelease versions that have the Touchscreen fix included. Click PRERELEASE here: https://kodi.tv/download/android
If you are looking for movie playback. Look into Kodi. https://kodi.tv/

I used to have a Linux box setup for Kodi (but then eventually upgraded my living room PC to be a gaming computer as well, so it rund Windows with Kodi)
Back in 2019 I was using XBMC who worked really well with a Windows Server as media server and no problem with the metas in multiple languages and for the episodes too, descriptions, specs and pictures, never got a single issue.
Today I'm a bit lost looking for it over the internet, I think they just dropped this fork it to focus on the main product Kodi; have a look on this one maybe ;)
I don't have an Apple TV, but I've successfully used Wako + Infuse on my iPhone to cast any movie or episode (including external subtitles) to an AirPlay 2 compatible Samsung TV. An Apple TV 4K should work even better.
Take a look at r/sideloaded. There are multiple signing services. The most notable ones are AppDB, Signulous, iPAStore, iOSGods, among others.
There are several great add-ons: Seren, The Oath, Fen, a4kStreaming, Venom, etc. You have a wide variety to choose from.
Kodi v19.1 (Matrix) is the latest stable release for any platform, including tvOS. I would only suggest downgrading if you encounter any bugs or compatibility issues with other add-ons.
KOdi. Plex. mkchromecast mkchromecast-alsa mkchromecast-gstreamer mkchromecast-pulseaudio python3-pychromecast https://kodi.tv/ https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_Linux https://linuxhint.com/stream_linux_to_tv/
Cool, FYI I wrote a Kodi android updater a number of years ago... works great on the shield. https://kodi.tv/addon/scripts/kodi-android-installer
There is also one for windows: https://kodi.tv/addon/scripts/kodi-windows-installer
> It's legality is debated.
It is not. Some of the add-ons available for Kodi might be of debatable (il)legality but Kodi itself is entirely above board.
See https://kodi.tv/about, https://kodi.tv/article/is-kodi-legal, and https://kodi.tv/article/in-defence-of-our-good-name.
More goodness. XboxOne->Kodi->BitChute. This is close enough for me to consider dusting off my RPi and giving it a shot.
More summer projects!
You can't set the resolution using the website or the app.
There is a workaround, you can run Kodi and this F1TV-Plugin. In there you can force the bandwidth using the "Select Program" option. It's a bit heavy considering everything, but for me it works better then anything official as long as their CDN can hold up to deliver the feed. Also you could put this on a raspberry or anything which can run kodi, which makes it perfect for the living room setup.
That was the original Xbox and it had to be modded to run it since the app was not digitally signed by Microsoft. This is an officially allowed app and a lot of work had to be put in to get it going. If you're interested Kodi posted an interesting read when they released the Xbox One app: https://kodi.tv/article/kodi-xbox-one
or use one of the many free plex addons for kodi.
I personally use a special build of kodi for windows that allows me to make use of MadVR. That combined with plex for kodi and its the best of all worlds. [windows only though I think]
There is an add-on called next-up notification which adds the netflix style popup at the end of a video. Tried it myself and found it works really well.
https://kodi.tv/addon/services/nextup-service-notification
The only thing I can suggest is LazyTv https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=170975
For all official addons you can check here: https://kodi.tv/addons but I didn't see any for Spanish TV.
This is probably not the best place to ask as discussion of 3rd party / grey area addons is not allowed here.
If your looking for good media center software, two good options to consider would be Kodi and Plex, although there are hundreds of other options available. If you interested in either of them, here are the links to their respective websites:
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
EDIT: Fixed a word because autocorrect is stupid.
should do. I forgot to say I use the trakt plugin for Kodi to mark what I have in my collection and also what I've watched. It automatic on completion of the movie then.
well 5.1.2 is broken, update that asap, but 5.1.3 is not showing on kodi's UI for me but i installed it from the web add-ons page (https://kodi.tv/addons/information-providers/movie-information)
But it will NOT download any art, poster or images (https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=327035)
You can install Artwork Beef (https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=258886) and it will work.
> So, it is about money, then? Fuck you. You are leeching on free open source software to make money, Fuck you and fuck TV Addons. Cunts. Post the figures then, let's see the profits.
Uh, I haven't made a dime from any of this, I'm trying to inform you thats all. You seem to need it. If the money side is new to you, I dunno what to tell you. TVA was always an ad laden site.
As for your ignorant statement about open source, go tell that to Redhat. Or, better yet, tell that to Kodi with their "Diamond" sponsors and others paying them. Open source has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with free as in beer. It is free as in speech. Here have a read from Stallman himself about selling open source software.
Specifically: "Actually, we encourage people who redistribute free software to charge as much as they wish or can. If a license does not permit users to make copies and sell them, it is a nonfree license. If this seems surprising to you, please read on."
I hope your dream world of corporations crushing those who enable all of this for your thieving, freeloading ass, doesn't come true. They do not have your best interest at heart, even though you both want to crush the same people, all because they had an affiliate link on a web site you used the shit out of to steal endless amounts of media.
> I don't really see how they make money from us.
They make at least $85k per year from sponsorships. Companies who are associated with the project, and probably would like to keep a positive image. Those are ads, most definitely.
Of course they can behave any way they wish. Users can be supreme shitheads. Especially on Facebook, where all billion individuals are super important leaders of their own personal page, powerful and influential in their own minds. Still, engaging these idiots while it may be entertaining, serves no purpose.
In the end though, its just noise. Nobody freaks out when Linus flames the shit out them for some war over an esoteric internal feature of the Linux kernel. Which happens far more often, and far more... colorfully. And is far more important a piece of software.
If your drive works, VLC should be able to play the disk just fine.
File -> Play Disk (Ctrl+D)
And then: http://i.imgur.com/jOdUjBW.png
Otherwise you can try Kodi (In the Windows store, or on https://kodi.tv if not on Windows 10.) It will show up under videos. Or try opening the BDMV/index.bdmv in MPC-HC. (Right click on the disk and "Open" to get to the files in Windows Explorer.
You could try Kodi para maging sleek yung library mo. It's like a "game console" for all your movies and TV shows. Automated yung process, so medyo pain-free siya (unless meron kang obscure foreign film medyo iti-tweak mo yung scrapers and shit).
I absolutely loved OJ Made in America. I first saw part 5 only, now have gone back and watched the rest up until part 4, so i'm almost done. All of those names, faces, topics, etc. immediately take me back to the early 90s, in college, watching CNN whenever I could to take it all in. Wow have times changed...
Geeking out on Documentaries Pro-Tip: If anyone here has a Kodi box, you can install the Reddit addon, then add the 'documentaries' subreddit to it, and then you can easily browse all video documentaries from the comfort of your couch!
Get kodi and install the ccloudtv extension for live tv. For movies and TV series there is another extension called exodus. Link to preconfigured kodi app for windows that contains both extensions: https://www.tvaddons.ag/freetelly-windows-kodi/ (it's available for mac as well) or you can download the standalone kodi app(available for all platforms) and install extensions yourself.
CinemaVision actually started as a spiritual successor to Cinema Experience. We're working on fixing Apple Trailers, and we have plans to write new streaming scrapers for other trailer sites. Our developer has been a bit tied up (contractually obligated to complete work) working on another project that you all might recognize. That's finally been released, and we're next on the list, so we should be moving forward with new development soon.
I think so. However unofficially you can get 60 fps on PC too with Kodi plugin:
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=243756
Quick instructions:
2) Installation of the addon: download the .zip somewhere, in Kodi: system > add-ons > install from zip file, after this enable the add-on from the add-ons list.
Plugin for Kodi:

Live and full games require an account/login, recaps and extended highlights do not (they're also in 60 fps).
I don't have an account so I can't confirm if it works right now or not. Check the end of the thread.

it's a video player / aggregator. The default installation doesn't have all the good ^^pirate addons. Install the freetelly version that has them already installed.
You can install Kodi and then install Exodus along with it. All of the SU episodes are there, just gotta search.
Looks like the Transparency skin
Edit: I was wrong. This is the new default skin for Kodi 17
It's worth noting that Kodi's development team also has a big problem with what a lot of these guys are doing. I know that Kodi isn't primarily purposed for piracy, and you know it, but the guys selling these boxes are often leading the public to have that impression, and that has consequences.
So I have to disagree with Geist on this one--speaking from the perspective of an avid user of Exodus, Phoenix, SALTS, and all that good stuff.
