For Windows Users (If you're using VLC 64b, replace Program Files (x86) by Program Files in steps 5 and 6)
1- Open %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\ and open hosts file with a text editor (Notepad)
2- Add the following line at the end 127.0.0.1 nlsk.neulion.com.
3- Save and close hosts.
4- Download the script here: http://pastebin.com/download.php?i=HnqCEXfu and rename the file hockey.lua.
5- Copy hockey.lua here: C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\sd
6- Copy C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\intf\modules\common.luac to C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\sd\modules\common.luac (create folders as require)
7- Grab FuckNeulionV2 here: https://anonfiles.com/file/edb5e46f3b35c342e6aef4673090703d
8- Open VLC, go to the playlist and open the /r/hockey playlist.
9- Find the game you want to watch and find the game ID (Just before the time is the game ID 20140200224 for example)
10- Open a command prompt (as admin - right click and select open as admin or open as admin from right clicking the windows button on Win8.1) and navigate where FuckNeulionV2.jar is located.
11- Start the java like this:
java -jar FuckNeulionV2.jar GAME_ID HOME/OR/AWAY
so for the habs, tonight, it would be: java -jar FuckNeulionV2.jar 2014020024 away (for away stream)
12- The script should tell you there is a lift off.
13- Return to VLC, and select the game you previously "unlocked" through FuckNeulionV2.
First to address your quality concerns, I use on a Fiber internet connection and to me its personally better quality then my cable connection with Shaw.
In regards to using a VPN or DNS service, only games that arnt nationally broadcasted (local broadcast) are blacked out. If you have access to someones cable subscription login you can bypass the blackouts, otherwise use a VPN to change your location. There are many online services that have easy to use apps for this like NordVPN, PrivateInternetAccess, etc.
First things first, you have to have a stable upload speed. 0.8-1.5 mbits = 800 to 1500 kilobits. (Bits not Bytes), test using Speedtest.net Use OBS as a the streaming platform. You'll have to mess around with the sources to give you the best way to capture the output from your gamecenter live stream. It won't be a quick setup, it'll take time to get the right settings to get the stream right, the upload speed right, and it also depends on the performance of your computer. For sure my post is not sufficient but Google is your best friend, that's what I had to do.
Experience: Used to live stream races often (F1, Indycar, etc.) using both OBS and sometimes Youtube.

Download & install Python3*.4+*.
Put this in with jar file’s folder https://anonfiles.com/file/dd3cfa4998a9a3f4cda0b8b6a613c4c9
Rename it to nhlstreams -keep .py
Open file with text editor and change vlc path (after vlcbin = “). If your local time is past 11:59PM, I recommend changing > #date = raw_input("Enter date of game [YYYYMMDD]: ")
> date = time.strftime("%Y%m%d")
to
> date = input("Enter date of game [YYYYMMDD]: ")
> #date = time.strftime("%Y%m%d")
Save & Close
Open file:
Windows: double click it. Run in cmd if closes immediately to see error. EDIT: If you're not an admin user, open cmd as admin, cd to path\to\file's\folder, type nhlstreams.py. After that, you can double click it to open it.
Mac/Linux: Open terminal, cd to folder it's in, type "python3.4 nhlstreams.py" w/o " (thanks /u/escapen)
If prompted, enter favorite team & bitrate
Pick game
Pick stream
Done! VLC should start automatically.
Report bugs!
EDIT: "Start another game?" has not been tested! Probably won't work, so just end the python script, kill the java process (task manager or whatever mac/linux uses), then rerun script.
NHL TV blocks the local team's games. Check their site to see if you're outside of that range. If you're in the range that gets blocked, then you can get a VPN (I used Unlocator with good result for a few games) to change your location and get around the restriction.
Your other option is to borrow someone else's password and watch them on the NBC Sports app. I don't miss any Flyers games thanks to this.
Just an FYI, Hola uses your connection as an exit node so someone could be doing something very illegal and it would appear to be coming from your computer. It can also eat through your bandwidth if you don't have unlimited internet. I believe options such as Zenmate are better but I personally stay away from all of those browser extensions for the most part
I use an Unlocator, specifically , I think it was $20-$25 for a full year and I get zero blackouts. Best part it's just a DNS entry and not a VPN, so you won't notice any lag or anything else like that during normal browsing/web/internet use. Bonus: it works on all other internet streaming services too.
I know this is just throwing more money at the problem, but it's an option.
So, don't use UnoTelly?
I've never understood why people use paypal unless it's a private transaction and the selling party does not have a legitimate merchant account. It's always felt shady, like businesses that don't accept credit cards.
https://mega.nz/#!rlYghI6B!DEUEpPPPJ1Fyu5YRQYXun5rv-C3XBSJgsYOyxJiEyok
this should work, just uninstall previous/newer editions etc. should be no blackouts and no update prompts, its an refresh of last year's app. some weird textures might appear but who cares. if it doesnt work, no support provided.
If you live in Canada, they're available on the NHL YouTube page. Or if you live in the USA and have a VPN, you can connect to a server in Canada (I'm not sure if all other VPNs offer this like Private Internet Access) and watch them on YouTube as well.
I created a batch file to make the java process a little bit easier. This batch file assumes you are running FuckNeulionV2.jar from you 'Downloads' folder, Please change accordingly.

The result is something like this:
Probably your VPN's IP that is banned by CBC, same thing as trying to use a VPN to access Netflix USA. I use ExpressVPN to go on it and never had a problem (reason why it's more expensive too). Maybe it would work for CBC too!
Last season I signed up for using a regular, US IP address and used Unlocator to evade local and national blackouts. Remember that blackouts are based on your location (real or spoofed) at the time you are watching, not your location when you signed up for the streaming subscription. So I don't think you should try to spoof your location when you subscribe to .
TSN went down the encryption route a while back. NHL Network has nothing concrete available. If you have an Android device, try the Mobdro app. I have it on my Fire TV and it works a treat.
You can get away with a DNS masking service like Unlocator if you don't want to funnel traffic in through a VPN. I used Unlocator last season for most of my viewing on my local LAN. Put their DNS onto my router and all was good.
Web video caster for Android is pretty legit. It can can cast quite a few videos / sites / formats that you can't cast from PC. It's basically the only workaround I've come across for certain streams. Check it out
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo
I use this exact method to watch the Avs in Colorado.
You need to use the VPN when you are watching the game. My suggestion is to never open the app without turning on the VPN first. It gets you in the habit.
I have an Nvidia Shield the NHL app and ExpressVPN set to Atlanta. It works great. I typically check the broadcast schedule too. If it is a nationally televised game then I take a trip to Mexico.
Happy to help bud. Like I said I'm pretty new to it as well but I've been watching hockey nonstop since I've downloaded it with no issues. One more thing I didn't mention in my other post, there is a video player called mpv, I found it makes it way easier to skip around through the streams https://mpv.io/ this one isn't necessary but I found my vlc player was bugging out when I'd try to fast forward too quick. Mpv works great for skipping the intermissions and stuff if you are pressed for time. Enjoy!
I think so. However unofficially you can get 60 fps on PC too with Kodi plugin:
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=243756
Quick instructions:
2) Installation of the addon: download the .zip somewhere, in Kodi: system > add-ons > install from zip file, after this enable the add-on from the add-ons list.
When it complains that port 80 is in use. I opened command prompt in administrator mode and did 'net stop was /y'. It was the only way I could watch using FNeulion.
http://www.sitepoint.com/unblock-port-80-on-windows-run-apache/
That’s pretty weird, I’ve never noticed that for sure, and I’ve been using Yonder for almost 2 seasons now. I do have the benefit of having Gigabit internet though. My ping/lag in games is usually 40-45ms, and even if I take the DNS service off, I see no significant change.
I definitely recommend , I’ve tried Unlocator before and did not like their service.
Yonder apparently supports NFL now too. I went with Yonder because it was considerably cheaper than Unlocator at the time, and still appears to be. They also seem to be more on the ball as far as supporting service changes (Unlocator took almost a month to get working after its transition from NHL Gamecenter, Yonder had it working within a few days).
Services like Yonder and Unblock-Us are DNS services and yes they work for getting around local blackouts for GCL. As far as I know you cannot 'share' an account like you can with Netflix, but I believe the system runs on concurrent logins so you could access it from 2 different places at different times, but cannot be logged into the same account from 2 different places. Someone can verify this I'm sure.
I currently use a VPN called Freedome, but I'm sure many others work (not all of them are free).
I wouldn't use Hola if I were you.
Give Hotspot Shield a try. Even though I use Rogers GCL, I've been using it when any Montreal and/or Ottawa game is blacked out where I am.
IT WORKS!
Not sure if it'll work on other devices (it should), but it's worth a try.
First of all there's a difference between Smart DNS and A VPN. Unblock-US is not a VPN it's a Smart DNS. It's used to unblock geo-restricted websites, but it does not make you anonymous or hide your i.p. A good VPN makes you anonymous by masking your i.p so that no one can figure out from where you are actually connecting from. I've been using Ivacy VPN to watch NFL and NHL online during my trips to Asia, and it work great. Maybe if you change your protocol, you can gain access to unrestricted site.
Have you tried Unblock-Us? or the Hola browser plugin?
This is something I'm worrying about to. I cancelled my cable package, and am now trying to find out the best way to get my hockey fix?
Debating between GCL, using VPN (can sign up for $99 using VPN, rather than $180 with Rogers), or trying out .
Works for me after I downloaded the latest version.https://bitbucket.org/ntyler92/lm2repo/downloads/
Also had to switch to 64bit VLC
Some people might also have to do this: http://superuser.com/questions/352017/pid4-using-port-80/352247#352247
What that guy said ^. If you stream a lot of sports or even tv shows/movies from "illegal" sites it makes life so much easier to avoid having a billion popups when you click something. They aren't 100% effective but they definitely make life easier. Also it prevents you from seeing video ads, on YouTube for example. Ad Block Plus is absolutely the way to go, super easy to install, and if you're visiting a website you don't mind seeing ads for and wish to support, you can disable with 2 clicks.
VLC version is what? You most likely have the newest available in the official repos so you might need to find a PPA for 12.04.
Why are you using 12.04 in the first place? Chromebook compability or something?
Edit: this PPA has at least 2.1.2.
lol Yeah my thoughts exactely.. we're a looonnggg waay from 4K Streaming.. for free below is the latest Sportsnet Ontario that I found
http://www.stream2watch.cc/live-television/canada/sportsnet-ontario-live-stream
Here is the link for Kodi. Kodi
Download Kodi. Then follow these Instructions to add Vidtime.
Once you have add Vidtime, go into Vidtime and got to Perchs Picks, scroll down and the game should be there.
If the game is not working open Kodi in admin. Some times it is weird and only works on admin.
It is really easy.
Hey, yes I managed to get it from a guy here :)
Heres the link https://anonfiles.com/file/629dcf8e11e590a1631271389c33ce29
Just rename the zip file as .apk so you're able to install it in android.
Lines 1, 2, 3 and 7 all have port 80 opened listening for something so that's whats locked and binded. Check this out. http://www.sitepoint.com/unblock-port-80-on-windows-run-apache/ and that shold help. Thats what pointed me to the SQL Reporting Service I shut that fucker off and it works BEAUTIFULY. Something in there might be what you are looking for also. Also your web browser runs on port 80 so make sure thats closed when you run the script. I'm only saying that becusae I made that mistake and I'm systems engineer ffs...
Also, there should be a way to add the PID column to that list which would make it easier to figure out what processes to kill.
I had issues using Netflix on NordVPN and managed to fix it so I hope this works for you. Try using a dedicated IP server from the specialty servers (Countries -> Specialty Servers). Some places block IP addresses that have many different users coming from them to prevent DDoS attacks and this catches VPNs too.
Do you all use VPNs? I’ve never had troubles or anything, but the landlords of my new house said that one of the prior tenants was downloading illegal files and they actually got warned by Verizon and got a threat to end service.
Been thinking about picking up NordVPN just to be safe.
As a fellow China Expat I can confirm that the streams posted in this sub do work in China, with a couple of caveats :
Living in China atm. Here are some tips to stream hockey:
Edit: Point two depends more on the ISP than by location. Ask the people you'll be staying with (I'm assuming it's not a hotel because it's 2 months) what their internet speeds are like.
Anything that is broadcast nationally on a TV channel available in your area will be blacked out on . My experience last year was that most games were broadcast on one of the NBCs, which means I was not able to watch most of the games via from the US. It all depends on if the broadcasts are available in your area. A VPN with foreign endpoints may be able to circumvent this problem, though. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.
Edit: I have used Private Internet Access for this before. The trick is finding an endpoint in a country where there are no broadcasts. Just think 'which one of these countries is least likely to give a shit about hockey...'
ok same. so all you have to do it get a free vpn and connect to canada. CyberGhost VPN is good or get tunnelbear. tunnelbear gives you 500 mb a month and its easy to use, all you need to do this select what country you want. I would go will tunnelbear becasue all you need to do is sign in to nhl gamecenter, turn your vpn on and connect to canada, then select the game and turn off vpn. With nhl gamecenter you can trick it by quickly turning on the vpn then turning it off, which doesnt use a lot of data. hopefully this helps and makes sense. you can pm me if you need.
Easiest way to overcome restrictions for in market and nationally televised games: install the Zenmate extension for Chrome. Load up to a game other than the one you want to watch. Turn on Zenmate and select a country in Europe. Select your blacked out game and let it load (may take a few extra seconds) . Quality will look bad to begin but don't fret. Flip off the Zenmate vpn and bandwidth and quality will improve. It appears they only geo check upon first initial selection of the game. It's free and it worked all of last year for me.
Hi thefreebird77
I own an Xbox One and have been using the App on Xbox One for years.
I am able to watch all games in the season by using a VPN called . It's a simple set up, by going into your Advanced Network Settings, changing the DNS from Automatic to Manual and entering the DNS IP addressed provided by . Simply then change your region using either the unblock-us website, or the mobile version and you're away.
Trust me, I've been doing it for the past 5 years with relatively no issues. Sometimes you have to change your region to find a stream that isn't blacked out, but I'm guessing that would be similar with our VPNs.
Any questions, give me a shout.
I've used to get around the blackouts for the past few years. $4.99 a month and can be used across multiple devices.
I also had an subscription, so I am able to follow my team and watch all 82 games in the season without blackouts.
Haha I'm a Caps fan so I'll give you an obligatory ugh. However, as a Caps Bro, I will say that Private Internet Access has been amazing for me in both price and quality. There's an app for everything that works great, and if not the PPTP settings for OpenVPN. Def worth it for $40/year.
Oh lmfao. This entire conversation started because you said I was wrong in saying "You are the product" and "open source isn't relevant here." Both were correct.
Even if that wasn't moving the goal posts neither of the options you provided would work for the purpose we are talking about in this thread.
Neither free service provides enough bandwidth to stream the hockey game.
You can move the goal posts all you want... You are wrong. There is no free service that you are not the product on.
You are the product with Opera. TunnelBear is an extremely limited free service. 500MB of bandwidth means it is essentially worthless. It is literally worthless for the reasons we are talking about using a VPN for in this thread. You can't stream shit.
I said open-source didn't matter in this situation and you have still yet to show an example it does.
I honestly think you must be trolling at this point... because no one could honestly be this ignorant and the 'refusing to concede a point' comment has become wayyyy to ironic for me.
Thanks for the laugh at least.
>The only difference is our free plans are limited to 500MB of data per month. "
Please explain again how you can use this to stream the hockey game today.... Do you know how much 500MB is?????? Lord jesus... you are extremely dense man. I don't even know what else to say.
Opera offers a VPN because it makes money from you using the browser (YOU ARE THE PRODUCT). TunnelBear offers 500MB and limited bandwidth. They do this hoping you will upgrade because.... you are the product. NOT AN OPTION TO STREAM THE HOCKEY GAME.... or any streaming. Since we are talking about VPNs to watch the CBC feed that doesn't really help, does it?>
TunnelBear isn't free... and works in the same manner as Hola for the free plans. How deep are you going to dig yourself here?
That's weird. I use and I can log in without the VPN, see that the game is blocked, close the window, turn on the VPN, then load back up again without having to log out and back in and the blackout is gone.
So far working well for me, no blackouts to speak of. They seem to be on top of their game. According to their Twitter account they were notified that there was an issue with and had it fixed in a few hours. Seems like much better support than Unblock-Us.
Unblock-us and Unlocator are SmartDNS services. They mask your location just for websites that need it. If they were a true vpn all your internet traffic would be encrypted but you have to choose one end point for your location plus you loose lots of internet speed due to the encryption.
I'm in Europe which means no blackouts whatsoever for both leagues. I have no personal experience, but I've read that people in the US and Canada are quite successful using Unblock-Us to get around blackouts. When I reported my issue, customer support reacted quickly and told me that other international users were affected as well and that they (at ) had some trouble getting everything to work.
There should be a tutorial for ps4. I think they say you change the dns setting in the playstation menu, but there's also the router that can change the dns settings. I was getting so many issues with in the past few days and unlocator-us that I reverted to my Private Internet Access as my VPN.
Unlocator says iOS and Android apps will not work
Unlocator @Unlocator The Apps should now be working with Unlocator as well. IOS and Android require location services thus not supported.
I thought the whole point of Unlocator was to get around location restricted apps and am I missing something?
Use a VPN and you won't have to worry about it regardless. Private Internet Access is great and can be installed on more than one device per account. It allows me enough bandwidth to stream a game flawlessly while downloading multiple torrents on my PC. They have an app for Android for sure and I'm pretty sure about iOs as well. It's the best $7 a month I spend every month. They have discounts also for paying in multiples of months. Search "best vpn for torrenting" and a couple of the review sites actually have links for more discounts. This is not an ad or spam. Honestly I cold not care less if you look into it. Just a suggestion from a fellow hockey fan that has some knowledge about workarounds. Best of luck to all.
Unlocator is back and working again. Looks like NHL/MLBAM are committed, at least at this point, to fighting SmartDNS and VPN. It worked yesterday but not today. I hit up Unlocator on Twitter and they resolved it pretty quickly (after first period of Pens/Ning.) We might face this battle for a while.
I've been using Unblock-Us since October on my android, xb1, and pc without issue until just yesterday. Live in St. Louis and have been able to watch every Blues game and any other NBC/NHLN blacked out game as well.
As mentioned on another WJC-streaming thread (), Finnish tv will have webcasts of some games: You need to have a Finnish IP. You can get one with F-Secure Freedome, which has a 14-day free trial for its VPN. Hola is another free option, if you don't mind having your bandwidth sold.
Simply remove it and never use it again, if for nothing else out of principle for not supporting such shady business. For quick random use you can use couple of alternatives*, but no free VPN is comparable to paid ones.
(*) Zenmate, Browsec. I won't guarantee they're any more noble than Hola, but at least they haven't been busted in public.
After doing more digging around, it looks like my issue is with Smart DNS Proxy and their DNS. I switched back to google DNS and I see the game listing. I switched to my trial DNS for Unlocator and see everything. Have a ticket open with Smart DNS Proxy. Thanks!
> There's not much in ways of circumventing blackouts.
Tunnel Bear, Hide My Ass, Private Internet Access, Yonder, Unblock Us, and Ad-Free Time advertise they can get around 's geofence. Are you saying they can't?
AirVPN. You can try it for 3 days for $1. See if it works for you. It all depends on which server you use when it comes to speed. Sometimes I can stream 3000kb just fine, other times, I have to go down to 1600kb.
I haven't attempted 4500 or even 5000kb.
I was wondering the same, but most of the streams on here are Flash-based. As far as I can tell, this new Chromecast functionality only works with HTML 5 videos. In fact some of the streams here are HTML 5 videos, but they are so deeply embedded in in markup, including iframes, within the HTML source, that Chrome can't pick it up. I have in the past gone in with my HTML inspector in my browser just to grab the the HTML 5 video, copied it out and pasted into a separate browser, just to get rid of all markup and ads and stuff, but it's tedious, and I'm a web developer.
So the short answer is no, this new Chrome + Chromecast feature doesn't really change things for us. It applies to services like Vimeo or Amazon Video which render clean HTML 5 video but do not provide native Chromecast ability (usually for business reasons, because Google is their competitor).
Actually, I think maybe CBC streams from the CBC website may now be Chromecast-able through this added functionality (haven't tested) but those streams are already Chromecast-able through the CBC Android app.
Also there are some cases where people post clean links to native video streams -- usually accompanied with "use VLC". This would need confirming, but if you can open those in Chrome, then you may be able to cast those. There's also an Android app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo&hl=en) which works great for those. The hardest part is entering the link.
Lastly I would add that some people in this thread seem to be getting getting this new functionality mixed up with tab casting, which has been around in Chrome for a long time. As OWLsRCool2 notes, this is about having your Chromecast stream directly, not mirroring a tab on your browser (which has too much latency for hockey, though I imagine it would be not bad for something like baseball).
This is another goody, comes with built in channels to stream tv shows and movies....as well as custom channels. Ie.you can add /r/videos
I don't watch on mobile often because it's such a pain in the ass with the location spoofing. But I have successfully used this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ajeje.fakelocation&hl=en
And I used this app to make it a system app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.systemappmover&hl=en
They will only check your GPS location when you first start the stream, so you can spoof for a few minutes and then disable the spoofing once the stream starts.
Hello. The host file isn't saved correctly is my guess. Ignore anything people are saying about DNS. Your host file is always checked first so anything after is not a concern. What you should do is show file extensions in windows explorer and make sure there is nothing like .txt at the end. Copy and paste the host file to another folder. Make your changes. And paste it back. Make sure the extension does not change. If you need help message me back and I can help you out live real quick as this is a simple thing to get in place. Let me know. Also give your computer a reboot after finishing. Here's a quick guide on how to show file extensions. (Like .txt or .exe) http://www.howtohaven.com/system/show-file-extensions-in-windows-explorer.shtml and also another guide on host entries. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/27350/beginner-geek-how-to-edit-your-hosts-file/
I run Mint and have no problem with NHL.tv or Netflix.
First -- NHL.tv does not use Flash -- it uses Silverlight.
Netflix was a bear to set up -- it uses Silverlight and MS doesn't like their technology to play nicely with Linux.
I didn't try NHL.tv until after I'd installed the pipelight packages that allow me to watch Netflix -- I suspect that doing this work for you:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/easily-enable-silverlight-watch-netflix-linux/
It means lazyman issues should be posted in /r/lazyman, but since we're here already, here's what fixed by W10 lazyman issues. Even if there's nothing on port 80, it might help.
http://superuser.com/questions/352017/pid4-using-port-80/352247#352247
there was one redditor that tried to update the cracked apk for this season.
You can give it a go if you like, I haven't tried it yet but has mixed responses from people who have actually tried it:
https://mega.nz/#!rlYghI6B!DEUEpPPPJ1Fyu5YRQYXun5rv-C3XBSJgsYOyxJiEyok
If your default isn't IE and you want your NHL Streams desktop shortcut to open in IE without changing default, you can do so in the desktop shortcut's properties.
Right-click (NHL Streams) Desktop Shortcut > Properties > delete everything in Target box and paste this (with quotes): "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" C:\NHLStreams\NHLStreams.html
Now only the shortcut will open in IE by default.
/u/xchester77, maybe you could add this info to description. Thanks for devising this great method!
EDIT: Dropbox link is broken! Mirror: https://www.mediafire.com/?hzgc311da1jy6cl
The ESPN site should be streaming this game without having cable on their site.
http://www.espn.com/watchespn/player/_/id/2869263/
Seems like will need a provider for the Czech vs Russia, at least through them
It's in C#. Most of the work is done by these libraries:
XnaFan.ImageComparison.dll for image comparison
SpotifyAPI-NET for controlling Spotify.
I have no idea about macs, but I'll assume you can navigate to the directory where XBMC is installed? In there, there should be a folder called addons, and you'll extract this into that folder.
Potato quality. Looks like an AHL broadcast and you better have 15 popup blockers installed... but it works http://www.stream2watch.cc/live-sports/hockey/boston-bruins-vs-detroit-red-wings-live-stream-28-september-2016
https://github.com/chrippa/livestreamer/issues/849
Try --hls-live-edge 99999 in streamer args under advanced(it'll start the stream 99999 segments from end)
edit:
http://docs.livestreamer.io/cli.html?highlight=hls-live#cmdoption--hls-live-edge
edit #2:
--hls-live-edge 99999 is working use it in streamer args
For those who want to watch it on an android device:
Using your android device. Go to Mobdro.com (Its not on google play) and download it.
Once you download it, open the app and search TSN (Or any other channel that will be showing it) but TSN is the one I checked that is working
The game should show, this app is great for streaming many channels, they are mostly SD but better than the some of the other SD streams but not as good as HD streams. They hardly lag either. But it mainly depends on which channel you are streaming and your internet
>There is no way to get NHL Network if you don't have cable.
Pretty sure NHL Network is on some streaming services like Sling TV.
Edit:

Make sure GPU/hardware decoding is working correctly. I don't have a Mac (but I have HD4000 as I said in the other comment, so it is not the chip itself), so can't help much. VLC has graphical settings for this, in mpv you may need to manually enable it in the config files and select the correct one (videotoolbox
) if the automatic isn't working:
https://mpv.io/manual/stable/#options-hwdec
You know if the hardware decoding is working when you monitor the media player's CPU usage. Should be less than 5% when playing a video.
you can install Kodi then install the prosport addon
works great just a little tricky to install. good luck
Hey, I'm using a mac and I haven't tried recording anything longer than a few minutes' worth of clips at a time, but here's what I do.
Basically, I install Soundflower, which gives me a virtual "speaker" that I'll direct audio to. The installation gets a little bit funky on High Sierra, so follow the instructions in the link above.
Once installed, I go to System Preferences --> Sound and select "Soundflower 2ch" for my sound output.
I open Quicktime and select File --> New Screen Recording.
Then I hit record on Quicktime, then hit play on NHL TV and make it go full screen.
Once done, I switch my sound output back to my internal speakers for normal use.
The two relatively minor issues with this method are:
(1) you can't hear the audio while it's playing through Soundflower, so make sure you have your volume settings set before you record;
and (2) you have to trim the beginning and end of your video unless you want to watch video of your cursor moving around the screen as you switch between Quicktime and your browser. You also can't touch your computer as the game plays unless you want to record whatever you're doing on screen.
Might be a DNS leak.
What country are you connecting to your VPN? What's your DNS server IP address set to?
Connect to your VPN, and then go here:
What country/IP does that site give you?
Onhockey.tv is the best site for KHL/european leagues. There are acestream (& some sopcast) links for most of top KHL games which means a lot better quality than Flash links..
https://anonfiles.com/file/3c87df533dac9ba34f5ac2b603762841 I was having two issues with this...Some of my links were getting cut and half and thus not sending it properly to VLC causing errors. It has something to do with python replacing cdnak with one of the other 2 cdns. I removed that line and it started working again for me.
I also read about how the ipad links are better because they adjust the bandwidth or bitrate automatically and some of the 3000, 4500, and 5000 links were cutting out for people since they stay constant and wont adjust. Well, I added an ipad option.
If this helps anyone out, your welcome, if not, sorry I tried to contribute.
Thanks a lot, worked like a charm. Just an FYI for any first-timers - I didn't realize that you had to download the JAR file from here and put it in the same location as the script file to get this to work.
4K2160GameR the $25 USD Deal is still available just not directly via our website. You can still purchase the VPNGhost Lifetime through our 3rd partie vendor. https://stacksocial.com/sales/lifetime-of-vpnghost
you can check JD-GUI to view the source from the the unjar'd class files
take a look at the s class main function for laughs...
public static void main(String[] paramArrayOfString) { Object localObject1 = new URL("http://icanhazip.com/"); if ((((localObject1 = (localObject1 = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(((URL)localObject1).openStream()))).readLine()) != null) || (((String)localObject1).length() > 0)) && (((localObject1 = (localObject1 = InetAddress.getByName((String)localObject1)).getCanonicalHostName()).contains("nhl")) || (((String)localObject1).contains("neulion")) || (((String)localObject1).contains("gov")) || (((String)localObject1).contains("nba")) || (((String)localObject1).contains("nfl")))) { System.err.println("Get fucked.");
basically if you're ip resolves to something containing neulion, gov, etc. you "get fucked." haha
NHL.tv just released an App for Amazon FireTV (Android TV)
Can someone pls extract that apk file? Would love to see if that works on Nvidia Shield.

It's only $4 to rent or $10 to buy from Amazon. Or from Google Play Movies. It's one thing finding a way around paying hundredsof dollars to NBC and the NHL to watch your team. These filmmakers deserve your money.
I’m not an expert in this area so I’d advise you to look for some tutorials online.
You may be able to put a VPN via proxy settings on your Xbox. This would be located in your internet connection settings. I’d definitely recommend looking at YouTube for how to do it.
They may actually have a VPN app available on your Xbox considering VPN’s such as the one I use, NordVPN, have IOS versions available.
The other option, which is pretty much guaranteed to work, (I’m assuming you have an Xbox One) is to use a computer (preferably a laptop), hook it up to the Xbox via that TV HDMI input (or just straight to your tv is fine as well).
VPN’s are very simple to use as well. It’s simple enough that you probably could figure it out on your own. If not, it shouldn’t be difficult to find a video online.
Personally I’d recommend NordVPN simply because I’ve been using it for over a year and can say: • It’s extremely reliable, it’s fairly customizable • Dozens of countries (specific regions of US/Canada as well) to choose for masking your location • And their price is quite cheap.
I haven’t used it for the purposes you intend to, but that shouldn’t be an issue. I can attest to their security and privacy as well since my usage highly depends on it.
Nope. I pay for NordVPN (since it's one of the few Vons that currently also get around Netflix geoblocking), but even when I had Private Internet Access VPN for much cheaper I never lost much speed.
The extra fun bit of trivia is that the NHL has very little streaming protections. So I could log into NHL tv from wherever, get the game going, then turn the vpn off (which I needed to do if I was at work and needed server access). Never had an issue.
As always with tech and hardware, your mileage may vary.
I recently went on YouTube and did a search for NHL Add Ons and I found a farly recent one (a month old) and the name of the add on was called The Crew, not sure who the YouTube channel was. It will walk you through step by step on how to install it and I will try it using NordVPN. I don't know if it is gonna work yet because it seems like it won't stream pre season games. Keep searching Youtube somebody out there will share a way
Not only did using a VPN (IPVanish) work for me, but because I made it say I was in Europe when I signed up, was $5 less per month. LoL
I did that for 2 seasons. This year, I've just watched the games on links from this sub.
Just FYI: From my experience if you have an NHL Gamecenter subscription with Rogers and try to get around TSN blackouts using VPN (like NordVPN) it is simply not possible. Last night i tried setting my VPN location to Brazil, India, Mexico...nothing worked.
I use ExpressVPN, it costs me $100/ year. The have there own firmware that I use for my router which is a Linksys WRT1200AC. All my connected devices are connected to the VPN at the router except the TV, which is a Sony Bravia Android TV. I use the NHL TV Kodi addon which is installed on the TV, and I have the ExpressVPN app installed on the TV so I can easily move the tv on on off the VPN, and change the VPN server quickly depending on the blackout situation.
I like ExpressVPN because they’re reasonably fast, they have servers that aren’t detected by Netflix, and the have servers in almost every major city in the us and even more around the world.
I use ExpressVPN, Canucks game was blocked out again tonight cuz it was on a pay version of he normal channel. Sports net games aren’t blacked out but Sportsnet ONE are. I think it’s cuz it’s outside the normal anyway. Logged out, VPN, logged back in. Done.
Last year I got around it by using AirVPN. They have a DNS masq and a network lock via OpenVPN configuration that pretty much tells everything you are using to go through the tunnel.
Its a great VPN service, more than the cheap ones, and there's a reason why. Their config and Eddie client are top notch 2nd to none.
$36 a year
It's cool that you guys will be organizing the replays for us to watch. But will I need a VPN to watch them? I'm based in Europe so I had some difficulties with watching couple of replays on some other sites. I took a NordVPN trial to bypass geo-block but it's ending soon so I was wondering if your scheduled replays would require me to get a VPN subscription or will they be accessible to everyone everywhere.
Netflix operates by blocking all VPN traffic, so I didn't feel compelled to mention my VPN as it would be irrelevant if the NHL employed the same tactic. But it is BTGuard that has servers out of the countries I mentioned.
Well last night I tried Smart DNS Proxy and that did work better than Unlocator however I still had a few buffering/loading periods. Tonight I'll try expressvpn and will report back tomorrow. If anyone out there has any recommendations it would be greatly appreciated if you could share them with us!
Well so a free VPN doesn't change the IP address to a different location usually, so it'll always be blacked out because you're obviously still in the blackout area.
The paid VPN will allow you to change your IP Andrea to a different location outside of the blackout.
I use a Betternet as my VPN but there are many good ones out there.
