The stream? It's an Acestream; a peer to peer streaming protocol that uses the Ace Stream client, a modified VLC Player, to play streaming video. Can be very good quality and not likely to disappear like alternative streams may do. There is likely a guide in this sub somewhere, but basically you just need to install Acestream from here, run it, click 'Media' -> 'Open Ace Stream Content ID' and enter the code pasted by OP, ie. c6469fe5c077142811e3efd72d5b27097aedf3d2. It may buffer for a moment but then hopefully leave you with a live stream. Some streams are better than others and you'll likely see multiple options posted for popular events. :)

Download, install. During Practice/Qualifying/Racing, there will be a stickied thread at the top of this sub's page for that event, with another comment by /u/F1-bot asking for any streams to be posted as a child comment there, and typically one user in particular posts the code you need to enter in Ace to open the stream.
Copy that code, open Ace, go to Media - Open Ace Stream Content ID, paste the code into the field there and hit Play.
Those streams are typically the Sky Sports broadcast, and personally I prefer Channel 4's coverage if it's available, in which case I just look up "Channel 4 UK stream" in google and typically find something that way.
Got the aircon pumping, beer, snacks, 420, laptop plugged into the telly ready to stream. I haven't seen Afghanistan play before so I'm really excited, should be a cracker.
Looks like omnitv isn't showing this game, but Sky Sports 2 is. The best quality I've found for streaming Sky Sports is acestream - try this one below:

Ok. Here is what I do.
I downloaded Acestream which you can get here:
This helps with streaming, in ways that I cannot really explain.
Anyway, once you've installed this, then you can go to http://www.wiziwig.tv/competition.php?part=sports&discipline=cricket
Then, Click on Australia vs South Africa, and then you'll find some Acestream links down the bottom, which you click on and it'll launch the acestream program. And voila, you have HD Cricket for free, much better than Crictime and other flash streams.
If you have a HDMI cable, you can connect up your computer to the TV and play it on the big screen. I find that it's better than Channel 10's coverage of Sochi ( As in Standard definition), but not as good as true High Definition.

When a game is on and you have found an acestream over at r/soccerstreams, which is usually a long key like: Acestream:908a7sd986as9d6as6da68s7d68as, then you copy paste that and go into your program and click the far left menu, which I can't remember the name for. You should be able to find a "Stream via network" or something and you click that and a pop up open. There will be a bar that is name "Insert acestream key" and you just paste your key in and prees play.
Fuck this sportz-hd guy -- taking trolling to the next level.
Want a free stream where you don't have to put up with stupid advertisements blocking the screen or a channel changing cunt? Download AceStream (Windows) or SopCast (Windows + Mac) and use Wiziwig to find an HD stream with clear video and commentary and none of the bullshit.
Also less lag with AceStream and SopCast for those with shitty wifi connections (like my Ecuadorian Hostel right now).

As /u/cheesehead99 said, /r/soccerstreams will have a thread about it shortly before the game. If you don't mind downloading a program on the computer you'll be watching the game on, I'd advise using AceStream, then go to the match thread and find an AceStream link, open it in the player and voilà: HD football even on a medium quality connection.
check out /r/nflstreams when pre-season begins, and be on the lookout for VLC/, .mu38 or Acestream streams. For VLC and .mu38 streams you will need to install VLC if you haven't already, and for acestream streams you'll need acestream media player (http://acestream.org/). These links are P2P and are generally stream from 720p all the way up to 4K depending on the person streaming (1080p is the norm), and look much better than flash streams.

Full guide for anyone new to acestream :)
1) download this: http://acestream.org/
2) install, but uncheck motherfuckin EVERYTHING except for 'create start menu shortcut'
3) run, it'll look like a sketchy VLC player
4) jump back over to the motorsportsstreams subreddit, and back to the thread when it shows up
5) find acestream codes--they're long alphanumeric guys
6) in ace player, in top left, click 'open network stream' and copy paste the code, and then wait to buffer. Sometimes it takes a while
7) when sessions finishes, go to the notification icons running in the bottom right, right click them and kill the acestream engine and player
8 ) to clean up, hit your pc's start menu type in 'folder options', click on the view tab, then check the 'show hidden files' button
9) then go to my computer -> c: drive -> and open the 'ace cache' or something, and delete ALL the files there

/u/Senatorweims16 mentioned some settings for Ace Stream, I'm using them, and seems to be going smoothly.

Step 1, get Acestream. It is basically a hacked version of VLC.
Then go here. Click on the channel you want, and then click on the acestream link, and it will work perfectly (usually, sometimes the links go dead for many reasons).
You may have to sort out what Channel is carrying the match you want, but you will get a good HD stream. I use it for the Sky Streams of GAA Matches from Ireland.

Acestream is a fantastic thing and probably the best thing I’ve found off reddit. You download and install the player, and then in the app there’s a “connect to a network stream” where you paste whatever the stream link is and in just a few seconds it loads in great quality.
It’s also (someone correct me if Im wrong) like torrenting, in that the more people watch, the better the stream quality is. This stuff has seriously provided so many streams while I’m either in class or at my apartment (cord-cutter for $$$). Here’s the website

a good idea - look into AceStream - this is wiziwigs page about it.
It plays a HD stream of most games that works in a similar way to a torrent, downloading small chunks of the stream from different sources and piecing them together for you to watch. the more people that watch it, the better the quality of the stream. it tends to run about 10-30 seconds behind live, so that the new bits can be downloaded and put together, and your video doesnt stop.
generally, about an hour before the match, wiziwig will put up a load of links, with some being acestream. Or check /r/stream_links (which also has a post on acestream) for good streams. pick one (bloodzeed or delvey are normally good quality) and enjoy.
download from the official site and then see how to use it in this video - most important part is pasting the link (from 1:42 in video). Once you'll see the quality on acestream you will never go back to web streams.
It's VLC with a torrent-based streaming part. Once it's installed, all you need is a hash/magnet link to watch the stream.
Aceplayer is the VLC part, it also comes with an app called Acestream which is the backend for the actual streaming.
After installing, Acestream will appear in your notification area (if you're on Windows) as a rainbow play button icon - make sure you right click this, select options and change the "live buffer" (and VOD buffer) to 45. This extra buffer will ensure a smooth stream.

For those having problems with flash streams. You might want to try this, but no guarantees given.
I'm using the Acestream software, and the stream from Bloodzeed. As normal the software works and the stream from Bloodzeed is superb if you have a good internet speed.
Many people dont like Acestream because it uses p2p protocols, and requires a good internet download/upload speed.

I've watched the last 4 (or 5 not sure) races on Acestream in 1080p with no buffering.
The setup is super simple: you download Acestream then on race day you go to /r/motorsportsstreams , open the race thread copy one of the streams (it'll be a bunch of random numbers and letters), open Acestream press ctrl+T and paste the stream.

It's a P2P streaming format - you need the VLC-based Acestream player (http://acestream.org/) to watch it.
Has its own issues compared to web streams, but when it works the quality of streams are usually a lot higher, and it avoids webpages cluttered with dodgy ads and pop-ups. It's pretty much a standard best format for /r/soccerstreams (where direct HD streams get taken down pretty rapidly), I find it a bit weird that it's so rare to see on here.
The stream I've linked has a bit of occasional choppiness, but it seems to be on the source video rather than issues with connectivity.

There are plenty of places you'll be able to stream it but they're generally pretty low quality. I always use Sopcast (see fikosmile's comment) which usually has good quality streams which you can find here or here. I have heard that you can get good quality streams with AceStream but I've never used it myself. Also they will probably post links in the r/soccer match thread, so it may be worth checking it out.

You'll need to have the VLC installed already (if you don't then it's free and a handy little video player on it's own), but Ace uses peer-to-peer streaming of live events and the quality is almost always head & shoulders above the usual streams.
assuming you already have vlc player, use the download at http://acestream.org/ (it plays through vlc, so i'm not sure what would be the case if you dont have that. if you don't just download that first)
Then you'll need to find a stream to watch. I usually go to www.wiziwig.tv for my streams. When you click an acestream link on that site, it'll say something like "choose a plug-in to use this link" and then you select acestream from a dropdown. That'll open up the vlc/acestream player and it'll buffer for a few seconds then your stream should start.

That's acceptable I guess. A great website to catch as much football as you like is wiziwig. You can stream almost everygame. Just download Ace Stream for high quality streams

Great way to get to know the players is to watch the games and getting a feel for the style of football you like. And most importantly don't take it too seriously and join the circlejerk of "my team is better than yours" but to enjoy all styles of football
Nope, that one last year came directly from the paid Eurosport Player, the links died months ago and new ones are protected in a better way.

This helps with streaming, in ways that I cannot really explain.
Anyway, once you've installed this, then you can go to http://www.wiziwig.tv/competition.php?part=sports&discipline=cricket
Then, Click on Australia vs South Africa, and then you'll find some Acestream links down the bottom, which you click on and it'll launch the acestream program. And voila, you have HD Cricket for free, much better than Crictime and other flash streams.
If you have a HDMI cable, you can connect up your computer to the TV and play it on the big screen. I find that it's better than Channel 10's coverage of Sochi ( As in Standard definition), but not as good as true High Definition.

It's this new sort of streaming. You need a specific player for it, and you open the link via the player. Think of it as torrents except for livestreams. It hogs bandwidth though, since you're connected to multiple other streamers, and you might even be streaming to others at the same time! The official page is here : http://acestream.org/
I've found that the streams almost never get taken down. At times it does buffer (but that's only for the really high quality ones), but it almost always takes less than 5-6 seconds, and is always high quality and within 10s or so of the actual match.

I can't stand watching it on TV in Canada because of all the adverts. I watch every race advert free on Acestream using a link from r/formula1 on race day. Unfortunately I'll be out of town for the MontrealGP, otherwise I would of invited you over.

The Acestream ones that get posted are excellent, I've never had a problem with any of them. Note that these aren't streams on a website or anything, which I have had plenty of problems with; they're generally posted to be used with the Acestream Player. Didn't have a single issue all last season.
If you have a decent connection speed I'd highly recommend looking into either ACE player or Sopcast, I use ACE most of the time which usually has some really good quality, reliable streams. Though occasionally you have to settle for a stream with Russian or Spanish commentary. As for finding the actual streams, as others have said, /r/soccerstreams usually has some decent links.
You download it from their website. Lots of people on here have been using it for years, myself included, and i've never heard of anyone getting a virus or anything like that from downloading it, so don't be worried. Just make sure to uncheck the toolbar add ons and stuff when your downloading it. You can torrent it by the way.
download "Acestreams"(http://acestream.org/) it's a media player. When it's fully downloaded open it click "media" then "open acestream content id" then copy and paste that link and let it connect (may take a moment)...this requires decent internet btw but it's amazing, I watched everton match in hd with not one buffer or lag

For Windows - go to the website and install.
For Mac- follow this Acestream for mac guide.
Once it's setup it's simple to use, just paste in the URL into the appropriate place. The Mac guide above goes through what you need to do to start using streams also.
Simple as. Just download Ace Stream from here and install it. Whenever you want to use it just open it up, click on the "media" tab in the top left and then click on "Open Ace Stream Content ID...". Then just paste in any content id you find here on reddit and press play (they look like this -> acestream://7dcf3c8daaad0efbef55af2d74d52a5f8f65783c). This Ace Stream link takes you to a 24/7 Sky Sports 1 stream. So save the id and use it whenever you want.
And in case you didn't already know about it I recommend checking /r/soccerstreams before kickoff for stream links. Lots of stuff to be found there and it's well moderated but don't let it's emptiness confuse you, the mods actually delete match threads after a game ends so as to keep the sub tidy.
