I'll believe it once the coach is announced.
I'm not downvoting because I agree that this was a bigger upset. But it wasn't a miracle. Uruguay has been working extremely well. It is the best case example of World Rugby and Agustín Pichot plans for Tier 2/3 nations.
They have a nice stadium they manage, a high performance center, players centrally contracted and not reliant on foreign clubs (OK, some have gone to MLR but waiting for South American franchise league to start), a packed international calendar... Of course World Rugby has supported this financially but because URU proved to be a reliable and trustworthy partner, something unfortunately very few non-Tier 1 unions are.
I have found infuriating how some media takes have been that Uruguay's win proves World Rugby doesn't give enough support to Pacific Islands. Come on, Uruguay is what their bottom performance would be if their governance was half as good as theirs.
I know not so many are fluent in Spanish, but there is an amazing book on URU efforts from 2010 til now by Ignacio Chans that is well worth the money and explains for example how Uruguay chairmen instead of celebrating 2015 RWC presence and make the most out of hotels and catering, they decided to embbed themselves in Argentina's delegation so to knit future ties. This is the result...

Good luck to him, but his comments about Scotland when selected for England were galling (health warning: Daily Mail article) https://tinyurl.com/y8m6yacx
I'd imagine he will get some stick for this in the camp and then everyone will move on and look forward to playing rugby...
Quotes below:
"I’d f***ing love to play against Scotland next week, make 1,000 tackles and shove it in their face — but it might have to wait until next year."
"Around the same time Gregor Townsend called me about playing for Scotland. I told him I’d be stupid not to want to play for England. England want to be No1 in the world and I’m not sure Scotland will ever be anywhere near. I’ve grown up here so, yeah, I feel more English than Scottish."

Wait what ? This is exactly the same video as the one they used for their failed kickstarter of Pro Rugby Manager 2014.
Is the game back in development ? No news on Cyanide or ~~Focus Interactive~~ websites. (edit: seems Focus refused to publish it and it's now 505 games. Don't know what to think.)
>The Rugby Club Toulonnais learned this Thursday, December 17 that at least one player of the Scarlets team had tested positive, earlier this week, at COVID 19. Following this, the Bath Rugby Club, which had faced the Scarlets last weekend, was forced to withdraw for the 2nd day of Champions Cup because 12 players of their squad had been in "close contact" with this Welsh player.
>
>
>
>In spite of this eminently delicate context, the EPCR, with the approval of the Welsh Rugby Federation, wished to maintain the Scarlets/Toulon match. President Bernard Lemaitre exchanged abundantly with the General Manager of the EPCR Vincent Gaillard. He specified that the sanitary conditions were not met to maintain the organization of this meeting the health of the players of the staff and their families being paramount.
>
>
>
>The EPCR nevertheless maintained its decision.
>
>
>
>In front of this state of fact, the Rugby Club Toulonnais, although conscious of the serious consequences, decided not to dispute this meeting such as envisaged this evening.

you are an absolute legend! i love this. is it cool if it print it out and paste it on the wall at my office? if so, i'm going to use this website to blow it up: https://rasterbator.net/
You might want to test a few VPNs in advance. I use ProtonVPN and usually watch the Tour de France on ITV. This year, ITV was blocking all of Proton's UK servers so I had to switch to watching on SBS in Australia.
The 'ultimate rugby' app is the best by a good margin. Has all international and domestic rugby matches with kick off times and live scores once the match kicks off. All tier one matches also have live text commentary. Player profiles with stats and appearances. The ability to mark teams, players, leagues and tournaments as favourites so you can get notified when they're about to kick off. News aggregation and daily news roundups on there too.
Allow me, the last time our football bears won the superbowl, the players made this disturbing video:
https://archive.org/details/SuperBowlShuffle
But, #34, Walter Payton, would have made a hell of a flyhalf or center.

What VPN service? NordVPN?
I use ExpressVPN and connect to the London East server and it seems to be working well for me.
Also, your connection speed can be an issue. You want to be on a fast and reliable internet connection. Thankfully they seems to be the case almost everywhere here in Japan.
Yes, rugbypass is best around, the technicality is they only have rights in Asian territories, hence the VPN. They are fully aware of the majority of their customers being outside their region.
If you do free trial for NordVPN, let me know and I will send you a direct url to an on demand match so you can test it without paying rugbypass at first.
Yes, you can select stream bandwidth or select Auto
WARNING!!! BELOW I WROTE HOW TO WATCH RUGBYPASS OUTSIDE OF ASIA. PEOPLE ARE RECENTLY (SA OCT 27) EXPERIENCING CONNECTION ISSUES DUE TO VPN BLOCKING BY RUGBYPASS. FOR NOW YOU MIGHT WANT TO WAIT PURCHASING ANYTHING.
not irish but dutch.. what works here is a RugbyPass subscription together with a vpn connection to Malaysia. As vpn provider I use PureVPN. In my opinion not the best bandwidth, but the trick is to disconnect the vpn after you started the stream. It will then keep streaming and you can enjoy your game in HD. (depending on your connection speed from your house to the Internet obviously)
The subscriptions are not dirt cheap.. but a year ago I got so frustrated by shady streams with betting/porn pop ups that were not reliable at all (stream always stalling a few meters for the try line for some bizarre reason) that I decided to just pay the money! Best decision of my life! (besides committing myself to my wife and getting a father of course... but RugbyPass is right up on that level!)
Quality is 100%. Download TunnelBear, it’s free. Connect to Singapore when you log in. As soon as you’re logged in, you can turn off the VPN (and not burn through your data limit). Then you can access whatever games you want (live and OnDemand). So not just Pro14, but Premiership, super rugby, all test matches and mitre10! Let me know if you need any help setting it up, I’m a huge advocate for it and highly recommend it
The World Rugby Laws of Rugby app is really useful. Has videos of all the situations when explaining the laws. Nice and convenient to have the rules book in your pocket in a really cool format.

RugbyPass is $15/month + $10/month TunnelBear VPN (I use that as it works across all devices). Really worth it, particularly as you can watch all the games on catch-up.
Top tip - if you've avoided some scores and don't want to spoil them for yourself make sure you go directly to the schedule page to avoid the headlines on the front!
I take this moment to commend the excellent photography and camera work for this tournament.

I use ExpressVPN as well, it's pricier than NordVPN, but I haven't had any speed issues.
But you're right about the underlying connection. A VPN connection will always have lower bandwidth than the connection it runs over, so if the initial connection isn't great the VPN will be worse.
Please, everybody, if you're stuck for how to watch it then invest in NordVPN (I don't get money they're just very good and very cheap) and pretend to be in the UK. ITV are showing every single game live for free and accessing the streams is as simple as going to a website.
FYI check for future reference (which i didn't find out about till today because of the Leinster VS Munster bad highlights thread).
According to them is the distributor for France.
Although if you've already got a subscription for another streaming service that already has the Pro14 final showing then use a VPN (NordVPN is pretty good one).
Hope this helps :)!
> Athletes go broke constantly.
It's not a problem exclusive to athletes. People generally don't know how to handle that level of wealth coming so suddenly, and when you're looking at athletes you're also looking at people (globally and generally speaking) who come from lower income areas and who have a lower level of education (with all the traps that come with that).
Thus after a few years they've spent all their money and have nothing to fall back on, leading to bankruptcy and poverty.

You don't need Amazon Prime to watch prime video. It's a separate service.
It's $2.99 per month and comes with a free seven day trial.
So to answer your question: https://www.primevideo.com
Download install and set up before you go rapid q

Did have a problem when I ordered hotdogs and they were out but just for pints it worked great .
Make sure you go to the top of the q I did notice that they weren't very good at keeping the rapid q free of normal punters and in the aviva they seem to employ a load of 12 year olds they have very little bar experience
If you refuse to pay your local rights holder, then this is the only legal option, but you need to use a VPN or Zenmate or Hola Unblocker add-on as you need a Honk Kong or Singapore IP address:
That teams were denied facilities to shower and change based on their gender is disgraceful. Participation, let alone common decency, demands equitable treatment.
But there is another component to the letter penned and that unfortunately is the reality of commercial coverage. For a fledging sport, you need to demonstrate the benefit to media outlets that they should cover your sport. You can't complain when a company makes the commercial decision that there isn't enough interest to justify broadcasting everything.

One other pointer if you go this route. You will need to use the VPN/Zenmate/HolaUnblocker add-on with Hong Kong IP to log in and get the stream up and running, but once it is playing in your browser, you can then turn off the VPN (but leave the stream playing), this will naturally switch back to your IP and you will get faster speeds and a better picture (as the VPNs are too slow for 720p).
I've got this app (which I've never used), but it should be exactly what you want.
Good luck trying to decipher how to animate it. I think it has to do with using the "key frames" functionality.

Yeah, I'm not sure that you'd be a great candidate to successfully gamble on sports.

I'm staying in Norway for work at the moment (live in UK) and SkyGo app is too clever for NordVPN even. So I can't watch my own legit service even with a top tier VPN. I've even tried to use my BIL's NowTV for it but that doesn't work either. For reference, no issues with iPlayer, so the VPN is working but Sky and Now seem determined to stop me. Any tips? As I'm going to be gutted if I can't watch the test today.
You would need to get a VPN (something like ExpressVPN -brand name) that way you can change what country your IP address address shows. This would then allow you to purchase a Stan Sports subscription since they are only available to people in Australia. I think a lot of people will use a zip code for a hospital or fire department when filling out the Stan Sports info.
I'm running Kayo - highly recommend. The app itself is really well put together, they have just about every sport you can imagine and you can set up multiple profiles that are customised what you want to see. There's a great 'no spoilers' mode, you can do split screen, they have live stats, highlight 'key moments' (eg. Try, Penalty etc) in the timeline. They also put together these 'minis', which are like extended highlights clips (these have been awesome for the Cricket World Cup).
I'm using it with ExpressVPN on an AndroidTV box. Set up the split tunnelling feature to only apply the VPN to Kayo and never even have to think about it. ExpressVPN isn't the cheapest option, but never had any issues with it, never buffers, and it also works reliably with Netflix (for viewing content from other regions) as a bonus.
The one thing to be aware of is you'll have to put up with the Aussie panels (and commentators where applicable) instead of the Sky team, and they can be a bit punishing.
Hey Mate. I work in Oz but live in NZ. Signed up to Kayo and it's realllly good. I was skeptical at first because it's owned by Fox but it's slick. I got it for rugby bit it's got loads of other sports content. You can even split your screen and watch multiple sports at once. I use a VPN in NZ (I use a VPN generally anyway for privacy purposes) and it's seamless. Private Internet Access is my VPN provider. Important to find one with an Aussie server. That means most of the free ones are no good. Pm me for more info.
TunnelBear that shit, connect to Singapore. Log on. Then, once you have the option to play the match, turn off TunnelBear. DM me if it doesn’t work and I can walk you through it
Also TunnelBear is free and not an extension. Thank god
I use Private Internet Access as my vpn, so if you don't have one already they seem inexpensive, they frequently have deals for 1 or 2 year access and it's pretty easy to use on mobile as well. I commute via train so sometimes I'll watch games on my mobile which is a nice feature to take advantage of.
Weird it's apparently blocked in the UK. I have my VPN to show that I am in the UK and it is working fine.
Anyway, if you get some geo-restriction just use a VPN like Zenmate and it will work fine.
know thy enemy...
>So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be put at risk even if you have a hundred battles. If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose. If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
That's an interesting point.
My intuition is that you're right and the majority of concussions probably happen to the tackler.
However, this was the only paper I could find on it. It's on high schoolers in the US so isn't a perfect indicator of what happens in professional/international games, but being tackled was the cause of slightly more concussions than tackling.
edit: I followed up and found this - a study done on professionals in England. It found that tackling accounted for ~1.5x more concussions than being tackled. So your intuition is correct.
Also that forwards are more likely to suffer from head injuries than backs, but that backs are more likely to get concussions.

Depending on how old, you could always try installing Virtualbox and installing Windows or Linux in there, and running Acestream in there. Again, bit of a hassle, but you only need to do it once. There's tons of Virtualbox guides online if you google around.
Made a little predictions poll to add to this as well.
You can give your predictions here:
This isn't anything official, but my rugby club just had their 50th anniversary celebration and posted this album of 1961-2011. Some good old boys rugby for sure.
It's quite simple once you have the files.
You can download a torrent program. Search for an open source one for whatever OS you have, it's relatively basic software, but some have malware, so search reddit for a recommendation. In Linux I use transmission. Don't know about windows or ios.
Then you click file > add torrent or similar and add your folder full of videos.
Then you can also register the torrent at other "trackers " eg. Kickasstorrent, rarbg, torrentgalaxy. Maybe there is a sports one, i dont know. Look in r/piracy
I dont think reddit will let You share a direct link here, but you can probably make suggestions about it's existence.
Now, when your torrent program is running in background, people can connect to you and you send the files to them, then they send to others. At first, you are the seed, then others have the files also and they becomes seeds too. After a while, if the others hold the files and keep the torrent going, it has a life of its own and you don't need to do anything.
That's all.
Torrents are 100% legit, per se. I assume that you hold the copyright whatever you upload. Also, the rugby world is probably not too litigious, despite the abundunce of lawyers in our ranks...
Otherwise, get a VPN. Actually, either way, get a VPN. ProtonVPN is good, but there are dozens more. The AFP are getting more powers to watch you every year. Fuck them! (Also you can bypass geoblocking to watch foreign Netflix, or whatever)
> Yes, English people are relatively large to a lot of populations.
If Black people are relatively small compared to the English, then why are Black people in America over represented in NFL (a sport somewhat similar to rugby that favors large people)? Why is Japan so much massively better than Caribbean nations if size is that important? Japanese people aren't known for being large/rugby-sized, especially compared to Black people.
> Large spaces don't get devoted to rugby if they're already devoted to other places.
Rugby can be played in a lot of grounds really. That isn't a huge issue. Grounds aren't occupied 24/7. Parks almost always have enough space for multiple sports to be played simultaneously. I'm sure the rugby teams of Caribbean island nations practice in those grounds. I've seen rugby played here in the US in grounds not devoted specifically for rugby. Rugby took off in places like Japan and Argentina despite it not originally have grounds dedicated for it.
> By comparison Jamaica and Bahamas have months of average temperature at 84 and 85 Farenheit. That is significant.
In Tonga, it goes above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. So it has a similar weather to the Caribbean.
If you're OK with a knock off try AliExpress
Here you go mate, you have to work out the top 5 yourself but that's easy with a bit of maths, it crucially gives you the ranking of the best runners up.
You'll need a UK IP via VPN if you ain't in UK. IIRC Opera browser has an in built VPN. That should suffice for masking your IP. Could be wrong tho. Idk am there are plenty of decent VPN softwares out there.
You can get it from the terrestrial UK broadcasters (geo-location permitting):

You're very welcome. Enjoy.
I don't think you need to do anything with mediahint. Believe it routes your traffic automatically. Enjoy the games.
The live streams are occasionally a little slow and seem to buffer a lot using the above method.
At which point I'd install Ace Stream and see if you can find any decent streams on Wiziwig instead - I think that might have been mentioned elsewhere in this thread.
If you are trying to stream it in the UK you will be blocked as Sky have the rights.
If you want to watch it online the best way to do this is download Hola and set your location to somewhere like Colombia.

> Beamish is horrible. In fact, anything related to Cork is.
hahahahahah. To be fair, I didn't enjoy stouts. actually, any beer that didn't have carbon dioxide I straight up didn't like. I tried a couple of cask ales in England before realizing so.
And I did enjoy Cork, although it was a really small town. Dublin is far better.
> As for downing pints, I had fun back in the day, can still do it too - but I'm (mostly) off beer these days. Being 'healthy' and all. As a new Leinster season ticket holder, let's see how long that lasts...
Get to training. I collect videos of people downing beer with me. Next time I hit Dublin, I'm getting us on film.
I use d3.js for this. It's pretty impressive how much you get out of the box though some of the functionality is a little cryptic.
EDIT: Beale has only played the one match thus far, so he has a long row to hoe. He also gets bounced around the backline by Chieka so his ratings often get diluted across 10-15.
I don't play rugby, but I've tried two different types to play football. I'd highly recommend this one. Or one like that with the laces in front. Comfortable, doesn't restrict movement too much, but still supports your ankle (might depend on your injury though).
I had this type originally (not the same brand but similar style). I hated that one, really uncomfortable after more than 20 minutes of playing, and you can never get it as tight as the one with laces. Although maybe I just had a crap brand.
I ordered from that site Vivomed when I got it. Never heard of them before that but was recommended by someone and had no issues. I'm sure you can find the same thing elsewhere though if you prefer, Amazon or whatever.
I've got an app that does it for me. Here you go
Edit, it's called Download Twitter Videos
Also have problems with the international replays (also have subscription to NordVPN and rugbypass). But as for the RWC, you can use NordVPN to watch games via ITVhub in the UK. I hope that helps slightly!
