The only bug I found is that when connected to Wi-Fi, it doesn't load the sites. After a few restarts of the app, it should work normally.

Haven't had any problems with ads or the app after more than a year. I'm not using the latest version though, so I don't know if they changed the app since I installed it.

Its free and will block ads throughout the entire system. However, it'll do this through the use of a VPN.
Technically, there's really no way to block system-wide ads on a non-root device without the use of a VPN (local or not). This is mainly because rooted devices have the ability to modify the hosts file to redirect connections away from ad networks.
However, it becomes impossible for apps to touch that file on a non-rooted device. Since apps aren't able to touch modify the properties of other apps without permission, there's no 3rd party app that can get rid of ad connections on another app.
The only solution is VPN which allows you to intercept the traffic and filter out the ads before directing the rest of the data to the requesting apps.
Of course, this does have its drawbacks, but its all we have and all that's possible for a non-root solution.
However, if you want just a browser... that's simply done. Just download an Ad-Block Browser like

I highly suggest using an ad blocker to download this, just to be safe so you don't get a virus. If you are on Android like me, you can use this one: ad blocker
It is recommended to download the newest version of an app on here, so always look for the most recent date. Older versions may not work. If you already have the regular app you want to download an apk of, make sure you know your account info. You will need to delete the original. Make sure you have unknown sources turned on as well, so you can download apps. Some apps may not work , just delete those apps. I have premium apps for free like duo lingo and Pandora (redownload every few months) from panda app store. I had Sims Freeplay but it hasn't been updated for a while so what I do for games on here is I do my in game save to the cloud, then I delete the app and install the newest version of it to have unlimited for the in game money. Then I upload to the cloud again and redownload it from Google play store. Just mentioning if anyone wants to download games here this is something you can do if a game is outdated.
Minor inconvenience ⚠️ When you go on the app, there's an ad that shows up five seconds. Just wait. There won't be any more ads unless you exit and go back in. The screen also turns white this isn't anything to worry about. Just wait for it to go back to normal and if it doesn't exit and go back in. I would not recommend ever updating the app, since the only time I ever did get a virus on my phone was after updating it. Like a fake update maybe. I remember it was back when I first started getting into apks and all of that so it could of been something else I downloaded that day. But still, just a heads up. I've had this app for a few years now and haven't had any issues since.
This app works for android, for desktop there's multiple extensions on many browsers. If you are a macOS/iOS user I'm not sure if there is an option, because after all blocking right to privacy takes 'courage' and we all know how willing they are to enhance user experience.

The streams are reliable if you use sites like popcorn and 123. I pay for Netflix and prime, personally but I get most films I'm recommended through IMBD online and just view them through this.

Been using it for years and I love it. The only issue of late is that when I try to update the app through its own notifications, it messes with the bookmarks and other widgets on the browser's home screen. This may have been fixed, but I haven't bothered to test it. Also, updating the app through the Play Store works fine.
That's pretty strange! It's definitely bugged for some reason, I don't think it was your fault. It should still work regardless of the title. I assume it still stays the same even if you refresh the browser or restart it?

Can't speak for Apple, but I'm in android. AFAIK, you can't block ads on YouTube without either rooting or downloading some real sketchy shit. What you can do is download Free Adblock Browser from the play store. YouTube in a mobile browser... isn't great. But imo it's worth 0 ads.

My son is much younger, he is only 3, and obviously he doesn't have a phone. But he sometimes uses mine to watch cartoons. I found that using a Youtube app is not only irritating (because of ads), but can also be not very safe for the kids of any age because you never know where that ad can take you. In my case, a good solution is an adblocking browser (I use Free Adblocker Browser), so my kid is not frustrated when a cartoon is interrupted by the ad, and I am not worried that he can tap on something strange.
I also did some research about parental control apps for the future, and I found one interesting app called Fun Control. It is not a typical parental control app. It's like a game, and it motivates a kid to use a phone for education, not for entertainment. When a kid uses some nice apps, the app grants a ceratin number of points. And if a kid is using "not nice" apps (like Instagram or Facebook), it takes the points away. And if you have no points, the app would block those "not nice" apps. I think it can be a good alternative for a parental control app (maybe not now, but a bit later in your case) because your son will see that you respect his freedom, and he'll have a choice to pick which apps to use more. At the same time it won't let him spend too much time on the phone using useless apps.
On mobile, try using Free Adblocker Browser. If you open Youtube in a browser, you will see no ads. If you want to support the creators, you can whitelist the website.

Try Free Adblock Browser. It's built off of Chrome and does a good job at blocking ads. I don't think it can block specific JS scripts, though; it'll either block all scripts or none.

When I select desktop reddit on chrome (a non default browser) it opens reddit in the previously mentioned browser and enables deaktop mode in it.

Have an Android? I've never had a problem when using AdBlockerBrowser or Puffin to view it, so I presume Chrome would work fine. The website has it's own app (Picarto) but the reviews aren't great if you're trying to do more than just view and chat.

Just download the Adblocker browser. Not only does it block ads and pop ups, it also plays in the background with your display off. I've only tested this on Android.
