there is a slightly longer version I have seen, the daughter gives another look of watch this, and at the end the mom is to the side slightly appreciating the humor of the situation.

I know it seems weird to donate to Notre Dame but I think you'd be interested to learn it's history. You might think of it as more than just a religious place.
It was the built and maintained by the effort of an entire people whose social lives, loves and beliefs were tied together through the church. Master craftsman would spend years working on single pieces of sculpture and ornament. Many were self taught and volunteered their time, earning skills and admiration for their families.
Gothic cathedrals were more than buildings, they were vast pieces of art with paintings, stained glass stories and statues that came together under magnificent domes and pointed arches drawn from Greek, roman, and Islamic architectural learnings developed over centuries.
Few of these places remain and they really do represent living monuments to our ancestors. It's kinda crazy. These people struggled through hard times and we can walk in and see their world.
The church has done a lot to deserve a negative reputation including sponsoring wars and pulling money from the poor. But they also were responsible for tremendous acts of charity and protected the poor in an extremely violent period of history on which basic rights and rule of law were overwhelmed by warlords.
If anyone's curious in learning about this period, I'd recommend The Age of Faith by Ariel and Will Durant.
Edit, fixed link
I seriously recommend Krisp.ai. We have 4 dogs and they'll bark right next to me in my office while I'm on meetings and nobody can hear them at all. Pretty crazy how well it works
It's possible to make your own. Here's a Step-by-step. You can also find them pre-made online
Lmao well when you put it like that. I had a toy as a kid that was a plastic army man attached to a parachute. The army man was about 4 inches tall and fairly dense plastic and the parachute was made from actual parachute material. I’d go outside and toss that thing in the air for hours just to see how high i could throw it and watch it parachute back down.
EDIT: Similar parachute toy for anyone interested.
The same thing is quoted on an Amazon review too along with mentions of Indigo children.

OP is “subscribers”-farming by ripping videos off people and adding their own subreddit names over them, only to get new followers. r/bizarrelife has nothing to do with the creator of the video.
Edit: Now, some people would argue that OP is actually spams for his own subreddit, r/manipulativeperson, that we can find in all of his comments, but I’d bet that OP is also the creator of r/bizarrelife.
Edit 2: Oh, and if you think OP is the man on his own photos, of course I tried to reverse the image and found nothing, but based on how uncanny he looks, I’d bet it’s a visage from This Person Does Not Exist.

Georgetown is a serious university because it is a Jesuit university. They've come a long way since they were the shock troops of the Inquisition. I have to imagine that there's some wing of the Jesuits who are boneheads, but for the most part, Jesuit=serious academics.
I went to a highly competitive Jesuit high school and one of our years of "religion" class was essentially a survey of major elements of Western philosophy, and happened to be essentially all atheists and non-theists (Plato/Socrates, Karl Marx, JP Sartre, Freud, touching on Konrad Lorenz and then BF Skinner - there was a chapter on Christianity, but we skipped that "You've already covered that stuff") The following year was centered around Viktor Frankl's book "Man's Search for Meaning" which is essentially existentialist and explaining that you can't sit back and hope that God will assign a meaning for your life - you have to go out and find it for yourself.
There absolutely are thrid-tier Catholic "universities" that are just madrasas (like the Domino's Pizza guy's answer to scary jokes like Regent and Liberty), of course, but as far as I know no Jesuit university in the US is, well, not a university.
Honestly, though, I am surprised that BYU isn't more of a university and less religious training camp.

It's a little early as you don't even have your kid yet, but there are a couple books I found really helpful as a new dad:
No-Drama Discipline for helping frame frustrating situations and to give me some tools to deal with them in positive and productive ways.

I'm not saying this one is for everyone, and some people reject it out of hand because they don't believe that seemingly innocuous words impact their kids, but I found it gave me a lot of things to think about.

Walker Percy points out that our tendency to look for ourselves in photographs, look in mirrors as we pass, etc, comes not from narcissism but from the fact that we spend our whole lives living in a subjective reality, so we are naturally fascinated by the experience of observing ourselves in a somewhat objective manner.

I don't know if the bikini thing is raunchy per se, as it's just a reference to this song from 1960.
At least it's not "raunchy" in the context of Johnny Bravo itself (which was a pretty raunchy television show at least by the standards which children's cartoons are held to). For context, here is an episode of another show that would have aired on Cartoon Network around the same time as Johnny Bravo, which was parodying The Brady Bunch and shows a brother and sister making out.
Johnny Bravo commenting on a woman's bikini is pretty tame compared to that.

You should. Depending on your cats nail colour, you should be able to see the quick which is the part that has nerves and blood vessels. Very important, don't cut obviously. Look at their nails, they make a sort of Y shape but more importantly, they are round. Now look at your nail, very long and flat. The issue is with human nail clippers is they are good at cutting long flat things but with a round nail, they can instead just crush it. So instead of a clean cut you can end up with cracks and rough edges. If you've ever had a crack in your nails that pulled up to the root, you know how much that can hurt.
You'll want either a scissor type or guillotine type. You can see how they are rounded to cradle the nail and the blade goes past ensure it actually cuts instead of crushes.

I don't think it was a higher refresh rate that did it, but instead just plasmas/early LCDs of the time having a high input delay.
Also, 144hz isn't that expensive anymore. I remember I once bought a 320 dollar 144hz that turned out to be fake 144hz (displays at 144hz, but skips every two frames, bringing it back to around 60hz) Around that price point nowadays, you can get 240hz

I’m sorry what? Hot tea? Are you trying to tell me you’ve never drunk tea in any other form but the sickly sweet sugary iced variety? There’s no greater beverage hot than a nice English tea and milk (no sugar), there’s something homely about it so warm and satisfying it’s indescribable, I recommend Yorkshire tea the most it’s my go to brand and no other teabags have the same flavour IMO.

Okay, it is called The Matrix. If you do not know the premise of the Matrix, what I am about to say is extremely important.
Go watch the Matrix. You can rent it on amazon here. DO NOT read the 2-line blurb. DO NOT go find reviews. DO NOT look for any information about it. (Do not pass go, do not collect $200.) Anyone you find talking about it on the internet will assume that you already know the premise.
Watching the Matrix without knowing the premise was literally a formative moment for me in that it led to an intense dislike of spoilers in hopes of having more experiences like that.
Go in 100% blind, and thank me later.
It's not as bad as you would think, I used to play this growing up in Bangkok. What might not get translated from watching videos is the rattan ball used in Takraw is extremely light, very springy, and much easier to keep in the air than a volleyball or soccer ball. It's more like an upscaled wiffle ball if you can imagine that.
The bad part about the sport is when you're playing as kids in the street and someone goes for an over zealous bicycle kick, there's a good chance they'll scratch themselves up.
Most people that are good at juggling soccer balls would do well at Takraw as well.

Thank the Koehler method for that. An outdated, shitty form of dog training that used to be "the way". People still do it. It's literal animal abuse.
Observe the body language of the dog if you want to know how it feels. Ironically enough, the dogs on the Koehler method book look terrified and uncomfortable. Top left is yawning, top middle the whale eye on right dog is very clear, bottom right panting. Bottom middle I don't feel like I have to explain.
I own that book, as well as this one. I suggest reading it if you're interested in dog training. Honestly, it'd be nice if everyone who owns dogs would read that book because it explains a lot of misconceptions and uncertainties about dogs.
Idk how to deal with sadness well so you get a technical answer instead of a hear pour:
The brakes on that train are terrible. To prove it here’s some math. If we assume the train is about half a kilometer out when it starts to brake and the initial speed is 80kph or about 50mph then by using an online speed calculator I found (Credit where credit is due) we can say the train had 22 seconds between starting to break and running over the girl. Ok well that can’t be right the man was clearly on screen for more than 22 seconds so let’s assume a slightly better time of 35 seconds. That means with 80 kph the train would have had to been a little over 3/4 of a km away. Ok so let’s do a bit more math and say that the speed at which the girl go ran over was about 10 kph. Calculating the deceleration that comes out to ~0.8 M/S^2 which is just… god and that’s the aggressive estimate ok let’s do the conservative and say it takes 35 seconds. Thats comes out to 0.54 M/S^2
Go load up a shopping cart full of heavy crap at your store of choice and push it as hard as you can and I can say with relative certainty that the cart (without any additional force) would likely slow down faster than this train. Like fr, India fix your trains.
Edit: or better yet get a car and go to large empty road and go to 50 mph and then just release the gas (no brake) and it will probably slow down faster than this train. Assuming you don’t have a fancy super friction reducing car wheels

They're pretty universal. Buy one with a detachment tool (like this one) if you can. The cylinders don't screw down or anything, they just get wedged in, so it can be a pain in the ass to remove the old one.
You can get them in different lengths, that's the big difference I've seen. I'm tall, so I usually buy a longer one, but you can measure your chair and see what you currently have and find one that's right.

Previous reply is right, but just to add to that: it's a snow/ice brush, they look like this: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Snow-Brush-Ice-Scraper/dp/B071F6W896 and are pretty much required for drivers who live far enough North to regularly get snow.
I live in Wisconsin (a state in the north US) and everyone I know with a car has one of these in their backseat or trunk during the winter. It doesn't damage the glass at all, they're designed to remove snow and ice from windshields and mirrors before driving so you can see properly.

Well that dude wished that instead of Antifa beating up bystanders, they would beat up one of their own supporters cheering them on. How terrible from this right wing man, right? He should take an example from the peaceful left wing, which thinks beating up innocent Jewish men is a much better idea, and is totally non violent.
Oh boy. Not TOO tight though... Story time.
After several freeway trips over the course of about two or so months, as well as one on my way to work from my boyfriend's house that morning, I went to drive my car out of the parking lot of my office building. I reached not 10 mph before my tire completely flew off and went barreling across the lot. I mean that thing was hauling ass for how slow I was going.
I legitimately thought someone was trying to steal my tire out of the parking lot/kill me. Called the police and filed a report just to be sure.
Well, it turns out my father had tightened the lug nuts on that tire a little too tight and it stripped them. I'd been driving a death machine for months at high speeds. I am so, so, so lucky the tire chose to peace out in a parking lot and not on a freeway or in an area around cars or people.
Oh, and here's a picture on that very sad day. I'm now happily driving a less shitty VW convertible.
In compatibility?
H.264 support is basically universal, and so is hardware accelerated playback. It has been the standard for almost all end user consumed video for a decade, and if you're going to pick one format, it better be H.264/MP4:
http://caniuse.com/#feat=webm
http://caniuse.com/#feat=mpeg4
Are you also considering encoding speed in your comment about the difference being negligible? Because if you're targeting a certain encoding speed/CPU usage, which I assume most system that process a lot of video do (like Youtube, imgur etc), a good H.264 encoder will get better results than the vpx encoder. So yes, if targeting a certain quality, the result will be basically equal, but I assume the quality target for H.264 will be higher than for VP8 to adjust for the slower throughput of the latter. (At least that's what I did when I added WebM support to a system at work that has processed hundreds of thousands of videos over the last 6-7 years.)
It’s not too hard. There’s lots of videos on how to use applications to produce something like this.

Mine is a mutt. We know mom is part lab, part boxer. We think Dad is a bird dog next door. Momma was a dog that was "given" to my mom after being told she was spayed. My mom lives on a ranch in the country... Momma wasn't spayed. She had 15 pups, lost one, but my mom found homes for all 14. I took 2. There were about 3 very distinct looks, mine was the only one that looked like the bird dog. We think there were at least 3 dads.
My female will chew through anything. I've seen her chew through a rope as big around as my arm in an hour. The only chew toy that I've ever been able to find that she can't destroy is this one. I've had the first one for about 3 years now, and I recently bought a 2nd because her littermate brother needed one too. A lifetime warranty came with them, if they get get damaged from chewing, you return it and they replace it. I've never had to replace them. They're amazing!
They make glass coffee mugs meant to hold things like espresso and cappuccino drinks. I have a set of 4 that look similar to this one but more curved in at the bottom. When you buy the right type of glassware (its not cheap, with 1 small mug on amazon being $16) they are actually very heat resistant.
From wikipedia on borosilicate: "Its superior durability, chemical and heat resistance finds excellent use in chemical laboratory equipment, cookware, lighting and, in certain cases, windows." Old original Pyrex glass was made of borosilicate (but now they use the cheap stuff) which is also used in some lab equipment. You can apply heat directly to the bottom and it transfers through, but doesn't heat the glass in other areas, such as a handle. If the mugs are borosilicate, you can pour boiling water into them and the handle won't noticeably change temps.
I like ceramic mugs myself though because they aren't heat resistant, instead getting nice and warm when its cold. I add boiling water into the cup while my coffee brews, dump it when the coffee is done, and then the mug is nice and hot when I add in the coffee so it doesn't cool off. Wrap your hands around them in the winter to enjoy its warmth.
Draw string clamp.
They make the tie behind masks great.
Nope, he's using plain, uncolored ones like these
Same concept though... they just pulled the meat out of a 200-220 degree smoker when the meat hit 190-195 degrees... he's using gloves with heat resistance built in
I work for a service called Instacart that basically does that. It's not available everywhere right now (Chicago, some parts of Washington, New York, San Francisco, Low Angeles, some others), but it's basically Uber or Lyft, but for groceries. You put an order in for one of a particular set of stores (Whole Foods, Ralph's, Costco, Gelson's, and some local places) and one of the shoppers jumps over there, picks up your order, finds replacements for the stuff that's out or not carried at that location, calls you with the changes for approval, then runs them to your address. Delivery fees can be as low as 5 bucks. It's pretty laid back work, too. Can be a little soulless, but isn't as annoying as chauffeuring drunk people around, and doesn't require your car to be all new and shiny.
If you're in an area where it works and want to try it, your first delivery is free with my promo code: RAREFS1.
You can do it online from a computer, or with the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instacart.client
EDIT: my favorite part about this over something like Amazon Fresh is that the shopper can replace stuff, OR take special requests for things that AF might not be able to do. Want a sandwich from the deli, or a cup of soup? Put a request in and they'll grab that, too.
Well, Obama made it a holiday.
And it's a public holiday in some states.

Might be that whatever you use to browse Reddit handles it more gracefully, but to-spec and in the majority of cases, including raw HTML for the same reason, you should always put a fully qualified link in the parenthesis. You also don’t even need []() if you’re not changing the link text. Domains are usually automatically linked appropriately. At least .com’s are for sure.
i don't think you can play on that website anymore, there are a few other sites though (https://drawception.com/)
unless you're actually asking how the game is played, you get a group of people (ideally 5 or more) the first person either writes a sentence or draws a picture, the second person does the opposite, so if it says 'santa claus' he'll try and draw santa, then he passes his drawing to the next person, and he only sees the drawing, then writes what he sees, then passes that and the next person draws what that person wrote. (each person only looks at the most recent page) with something like santa, it might last the whole game, but if you start with 'harry potter playing quidditch with gandalf' it will quickly devolve into absurdity from poor descriptions and worse drawings

I'm not 100% positive. My guess would be that the police tape hanging off the branches resembled snakes. Perhaps geese are afraid of snakes.
Edit: this is how the apartment complex tied the police tape on the branches
Edit 2: I looked it up, my apartment complex must have used Mylar tape. Apparently its reflective and geese don't like reflective things?

But you need to use a harness. If you have it on your dogs neck collar and there is a collision or a sudden stop you’ll break your dogs neck.
I'm sorry, I'm no expert in the religious texts, but if I may, here is the verse from my translated book, and a review for a book dedicated just for this one verse.. Honestly, I've never read the book, but I appreciate discourse to the meanings of the Quranic text. God-willing, I'll look into the book in the future. In any case, Islam promotes thinking and many times throughout the Quran it makes it's reader ponder on what is said. This verse definitely makes people look back at what is actually said, and at least, makes people think, what is actually meant by "nushuz", what kind of situation warrants this "beating", and if there is a need to "beat them" ("them" being the wives"), what kind of "beating" is permissible? By how much? Or where is it permissible to do (on which location of the body)? Should it leave a mark or not? In fact, how hard (or soft) shall the "beat" be? Again, I'm no religious scholar. But, as how in the Quran it asks it's followers to pray "five times a day", there's a certain set of guidelines as to how to perform these prayers. In no way is the Quran promoting domestic abuse, and in fact, again, the chapter is titled "The Women", whereas there is no such "The Man" chapter. It's just that word, "beat", has a lot more meaning than can be conveyed in just this one verse. If you've read this far, thank you for your time and I'm sure this won't be a satisfactory answer to everyone. But, I hope we can be mature and civil in our discussion. Take care and stay safe during these hard times.
