Oh yeah, fun thing about this one.
Android devices have the Firefox browser which fully supports most desktop extensions. Which means, you can get uBlock Origin on the android Firefox app! ;)
(The links above are to the google play store page for the Firefox browser & the extension page for uBlock Origin on the Android version of said browser.)
I use Firefox with Ublock Origin, and Private Internet Access VPN. I always use the MyCloud server as it's the fastest one for me.
OpenLoad used to be good but is shit now.
StreamMango is hot garbage.
Mp4upload is not great for speed.
And as for RapidVideo I haven't used that server in a long time because of it being riddled with ads
Yep, this is more or less the accurate answer.
For Desktop, uBlock Origin, all the way.
For IOS devices (iPhone/iPad/Etc.) grab AdGuard off the app store and use the filter list available here.
For Android devices, grab the Firefox browser off the app store then use uBlock Origin like you would on a desktop device. (Yep, Firefox on Android supports extensions) But if you're DESPERATE to use Chrome instead, you can side-load an android version of AdGuard off the AdGuard site (the one on the play store won't work).
Hmmm... afaik you can install other browsers with included adblockers on xbox but they may interfere withe the site.
The way way i guess would be to set up a pi-hole but that would be too much effort and you'd have to spend money.
You may also have luck with other adblock-dns services like adguard dns but no guarantee on how well it will work and if that lowers your speed or raises your latency.
I think OP's talking about the cloudflare. uBlock's default filters block all scripts, which means Google's reCaptcha gets blocked.

u/schnitzelschnauzer34 (mentioning you here so I don't need 2 comments), if you're using uBlock Origin (which you probably are), all you need to do is add these to your filters (obviously replacing .to with the domain you're using):
>@@||$script,first-party
>
>@@||$script,first-party

Edit: Just noticed the cloudflare page shows an extension called "Privacy Pass. All you do is solve a captcha and you get 30 "passes". These "passes" let you get past the "one more step" page without needing the captcha.
I was actually able to get the audio adjust thing to work fairly reliably and I'd say the issue is mostly solved. Here's the app if you're interested. It seems to have a ton of features, but I don't use most of them

I have my computer connected to my tv too, and i use an air mouse. it controls the mouse kinda like a wii remote and has a few integrated buttons and a keyboard on the back.
something like this
Pepper Jobs W10 GYRO Air TV Remote,QWERTY Keyboard Fly Mouse for Win 11/10, LED Backlit Keyboard Mini PC Controller, 6-Axis Gyro w/Learning Remote Control Function https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B078NT49MJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_6AF6F9B9ZAFBK4X75PC9
Give the Brave browser a shot, ad blocking is compiled in and it includes a number of nice privacy and safety shields. So far it's been the best for viewing 9anime, I haven't suffered any cringy pop-ups advertising anime girls wiping jizz off their tits for awhile. https://brave.com/
Firefox with UBlock Origin
Brave Browser with built-in adblocker
Kiwi Browser with UBlock Origin
Adguard (device-wide adblocker)
This seems to be a browser issue. You can contact them here: https://mercury-browser.com/contact.html
Alternatively, you can contact 9anime to allow multiple requests at once. Unlike Kissanime, 9anime doesn't seem to be extension/user-friendly by restricting requests.
Had a similar issue when trying to watch downloaded mp4's off vidstream with quicktime on my mac. Seems all mp4's are not created equal - those downloaded off vidstream are in an older or specialised format not compatible with all modern players. The fix is simple enough, you'll need install handbrake and use it to re-encode your mp4 file into a more widely compatible mp4 format. Can't say I know all the specifics of what's actually taking place, but this worked for me. Make sure "MP4 File" is selected as the output format, specify a save location/name and hit start. I found that encoding each video file took about as much time as it'd take to watch it in its entirety, but YMMV here depending on the power of your CPU.
Hope this helps, feel free to inbox me if you have any questions.
Junkware Removal Tool and ADWCleaner by Malwarebytes are nice tools to use as well. I recommend using ADWCleaner because there's an option to remove all traces of the program after using it.
Click here to check it out.
You might have to look into sideloading the AdGuard application as an alternative method of ad-blocking... although, it's a tad buggy with android from what I remember.
It's the best workaround I can think of to continue using the default chrome browser... The reason why chrome-cast doesn't function properly with other browsers is because the video hosts have a configuration setting which only enables the option if it detects a chrome useragent.
Android User?
Then you have two options.
Firefox App + uBlock Origin Extension
Anything + AdGuard's side-loaded app apk, off their site.
If you're an IOS user, then you'd be SOL because Apple doesn't support adblockers... err "Content Blockers" as they call them for non-safari applications.
alright so you can't directly set up a adblocker on your ps4 but there are 2 ways.
so the first one is pi-hole this requires some technical knowledge and you have to buy some kind of raspberry-pie (just goole pi-hole) the main benefit of this is it's basically as customizable as a adblocker (i wouldn't really recommend this one to you)
the second one (which i would recommend) is just changing your dns server on your ps4 so just look up a tutorial on "how to change dns server on ps4" and then you can choose between these two options: 1st option, 2nd option this will at least dramatically lower the amount of ads you get
As noted by another user, uBlock Origin is the preferred method of blocking ads. But I believe that apple killed uBlock Origin's use alongside Safari.
So your best bet would be to try AdGuard instead. Specifically, you should find the AdGuard for Safari version of AdGuard.
They discontinued support and updates of the Pro app itself some time back in order to switch to a paid "pro" subscription model on their non-pro app. (Although they claim that they couldn't keep supporting it due to rules involving content blocking using a device's VPN mode, which is something that was recently changed. That didn't stop them from putting the same VPN based blocking into their pro subscription of the free non-pro app.)
So it's that, and the fact that the pro app supports less rule types then the more updated non-pro app. Although, I still personally use the pro version of the app for debugging due to the connection logger being pretty accurate.
I should mention they "supposedly" plan to re-continue support but there's only been one update since then, 7 months ago, that only really did some localization adjustments.
for downloads id recommend nyaa.si 9anime is for streaming but nyaa is better for downloading as its a torrent website . if you don't know how to torrent i would recommend Webtorrent.
And their Hydrax server actually contains harmful pop-ups and dangerous redirects to websites that aren't even safe.
Thankfully I have Malwarebytes but seriously 9anime, what is this shit?
https://www.screencast.com/t/O0MjFiCi
A server you are using can cause users computers to be put at risk, how is this acceptable?
After installing the filter list, instead of playing the video I get the notification
" Please open http://9anime.to on your browser to watch for free.
We don't allow to load our website in any other app. "
I disabled other blockers, and only ublocker is running for 9anime. Did the 'if it still doesn't work on ublock' section, and still only displays the notification. Not sure what else to do.
I know this is an old post, but since reddit decided to remove my original post about this (I was the one who posted the ffmpeg guide, and I also don't want to make a new post about it), this is my only option (since your post is the only one still up for some reason). This could be the "easier GUI" method.

You can use youtube-dl-gui for downloading (it uses ffmpeg and youtube-dl). Don't let the youtube-dl part make you think it only works on YT, it works on a lot of sites (even CR and VRV surprisingly).
I think I have another solution.
Download the VLC for iOS app here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-ios.html
Open the app, navigate to the Downloads Page, then paste the direct link to the anime episode. VLC will download the video and save it in the app.
If your anime episodes are on a PC, you can use the Sharing via WiFi to transfer anime.
If your Internet speed is slow, you can open iTunes on your PC, select your device, go to Apps tab and select VLC under File Sharing. Then, click Add Files button and import your episodes.
>Can you tell me the versions of macOS and Safari you have (I made this text bold for visibility)?
In terms of macOS I'm running MacOS Mojave version 10.14.6 and regarding safari I'm on version 12.1.2.
In terms of AdGuard, its fair to note that I'm using the safari extension version rather then the app, because the app is exclusively available for only 14 days as a trial and there is no option to use it as a free version except the extension version which remains free. Im using this instead of this.
Regarding filters, i only have the FAQ one (which was the mobile version) filter activated. I have no other filters in there excluding the 9anime one.
I would like to mention that having an adblocker that works for safari and solves the issues i have right now is a high priority since it won't just fix 9anime but it would also simultaneously help in everything i do in safari. I haven't gotten a reliable ad blocker for years now and solving it would really be amazing.
Thanks again!
Hey, Sorry. Updated post, I jumped the gun a little on it thinking I found the solution. I just got a pop up, but it was terminated by ublock before loading.
I don't think the hide images option in disqus is a 100% thing. A more reliable solution is to install an extension called Ghostery, and use it to block the chat completely and permanently.
Yes 9anime Companion does change it, currently the extension allows you to download from F4 & RapidVideo, support for CloudFlare and OpenLoad are coming in later/future releases. If you want to download from CloudFlare or OpenLoad currently, the easiest way that I know of is to download Internet Download Manager.
I think its time to replace Disqus. Maybe something more independent.
Only as a suggestion, Isso is on top my head. Isso - a community server similar to Disqus
Disclaimer - I am in no way related to this project.
wait, do you mean your disqus profile (comment section) or your 9anime account? if its disqus ur gonna have to go to the forgot page.
if its about your 9anime account just email them at since the "forgot password" button is broken at the moment and only spits out errors when you try and reset your password, would be cool if u/9anime could check that one out :3
I think 9anime and Disqus are separate, you can copy paste "✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ" into your Disqus username.
I mean, yes and no... You can't directly "search" for people (as far as I know) on Disqus. However, you can still find their profile if you know their @username tag.
That, of course, can make things a bit more complicated. A good example of this is my own Disqus profile. Although I'm Sorrow-San by display name the @ tag is Shredfire and thus my profile on Disqus would be https://disqus.com/by/Shredfire/
if you replace "Shredfire" with whatever their @username tag would be then you can find them that way too.
Just a heads up that Microsoft Edge doesn't fully support all the same things as the other browsers so a lot of random features on sites can break as a result.
Anyways, that's strange that you're still having the issue after swapping to another browser entirely. Especially if there's nothing that could be messing with the flow of data. Hmm...
As a dumb experiment, I grabbed a direct link to one of the Disqus comments pages used by 9Anime. This one is specifically for the first episode of Dragon Ball. Are you able to load the comments this way?
Here, I took the time to dig up exactly where you'd need to go. In the future you can reach this by clicking you user-name down in the comments section and opening up your profile. Then clicking the edit button.
They're the only trustworthy ones in what regard? I'm pretty sure even the most popular options like ExpressVPN or NordVPN don't keep logs and provide a secure and reliable service. I really doubt anyone that has had legal trouble torrenting was because of a paid VPN service.
Nord VPN or Private internet access. Those are the only two that promise no logs and also allow P2P. Even if you're not going to do P2P it's still important to know that your VPN will allow P2P. It's another way to gauge whether or not they'll snitch on you.
There's also Mulvad? Mullvad? VPN which promises to never log your activity and also allows P2P too.
Private internet access even lets you pay with giftcards from many different stores too. So if you don't want to give them your name and address, you don't have to.
> really weird / unknown user-agent
9anime probably doesn't like "Webkit based browser on iOS 12.4" (from whatismybrowser) then.
> I don't believe there is any way around this
Actually, there is (assuming OP's using this app). u/Wilks_, there's an option to change the user agent. I tried with the Android 7.1.1 one and it worked.
Edit: make sure to set it as the default.
If you're talking about this app, nope. Here's what works and doesn't:
All of this to get ads when you start the download (and you need to somehow find the direct link to the files). I used uBlock Origin's logger to filter for the m3u8 files.
If you’re on ios I suggest a vpn, I’m using NordVPN which does require a subscription which is only 2$, in any case the ad’s that take you to another tab can just be closed and it should only happen maybe every other episode
I'm having the same issue w/add blockers disabled.
Edit: I'm on Chrome if that matters.\
Edit 2: Looks like my VPN (NordVPN) saw it as an issue. Seems it's flagging the thumbnails as a possible security issue. Disabling the CyberSec feature fixes it.
Yes, I believe that was his/her intention.
the Cloudflare firewall (which is what they actually use) can see things as a threat pretty quickly, especially if requests come fast or malformed.
Considering malformed requests currently only really trigger a captcha, I think it's just that NineAnimator just goes too fast.
Especially if you use a public VPN (even a paid one like NordVPN) it can be like that.
I have given an explanation here
Personally, I use and recommend ProtonVPN, you get to use their premium for a week without inputting any credit details or info and their free service is pretty decent considering they don't limit how much data you can consume while using the VPN.
You could also try Windscribe which is pretty good as well but I stopped using it since you only get to use 10GB of data per month without a subscription plan and I'm not in a position where I can afford a VPN plan right now.
Use a fast country would work it just has to be ‘fast’ You can get a paid subscription of NordVPN or if you’re on iOS or Android u can use the free version of X-VPN which is pretty fast
X-VPN: iOS:
Tip: Just turn on the VPN and try to stream from 9anime or any website it will be way faster guaranteed!

Just went and bought ExpressVPN special 15 working now, Aussie Government took our asses and molested them recently all these sites are blocked by ISP's. So VPN it is and now it's all working :)
I'm using AzireVPN at this very moment so I could just jump onto their US VPN. However, it doesn't seem worth paying for a VPN so that I can pay for VRV Premium which may or may not give me access to Crunchyroll
