Agreed. Locked on bills podcast did an excellent and insightful breakdown on this subject last week. 100% worth a listen if you've got 20 mins.
it's a program that uses VLC media player to stream directly from a source, so you don't get ads and you're not on taintdestroyer_69's shitty website that buffers every four seconds.

With the exception being this "super kazoo" thing that is $1/piece
Fred Jackson has been playing in the nfl for 9 years. His first year, 2006, he played in 0 games. In 2007, he only played 8 games. In his NFL career, he has an average of 142 carries a season.
Adrian Peterson - 8 years, 257 carries
Ray Rice - 7 years, 204 carries
LeSean McCoy - 7 years, 208 carries
Arian Foster - 7 years, 199 carries
Marshawn Lynch - 9 Years, 226 carries
Matt Forte - 8 years, 227
This season, out of the 14 games he played, his rush attempts only hit double digits 7 times. Out of that 7, 3 were for only 10 attempts and he never carried the ball more than 21 times a game. He finished the year with the 34th most carries for a rb...
You know what old man jackson did do a ton of this year? He caught the ball. In fact, he caught it 66 times for 501 yards. This put him in third overall in both receptions and yards for a rb..on a team that was 26th in offense.
Fred Jackson was one of the most important, if not, the most important part of our offense last year. He remained productive despite our dead last rank for run blocking from our mediocre o-line.
People always remember the week one stiff arm he did but he pulled the same "Get off me" breakout 9 or 10 times last season. Hes one of the only leaders we have in that locker room and it seems hes the only person to actually like playing here.
TL:DR Fred Jackson, compared to other running backs, has not had to do as much work running the ball. Everyone is so salty over his age without looking at the facts. Last year he was 3rd in receiving yards for a rb. Out of all the above mention rbs, some 8 years his junior, Fred has less rushing attempts. Guys got tons left in his tank and everytime he throws a defender off him, that stadium explodes.
Unfortunately though, he might miss the season according the the reported child abuse.
I did the 'less-than-legal' options last year after the NFL nixed the free Gamepass for Euro viewers. The quality was too poor to be worth it.
There's no more free Gamepass this year, but for ~$105 a season and Hola! Unblocker you can get every game in HD with no blackouts. Set Hola! to Romania and head to http://gamepass.nfl.com. Sign up for your package (they let you use US cards with a US billing address). After you're in and see the list of games, turn off Hola! and click 'Watch' on whatever you want. Additionally, you get Red Zone, the NFL channel and the option for condensed games.
I've been doing this all preseason with complete success.

omg kid. he had sammy for 4 fucking games.
and yeah he is "prototypical". In case you don't know what that means.. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/prototypical
A prototypical QB = big, arm strength, big hands, tight spirals, tough, natural leader, etc.
EJ = big, strong arm, big hands, tight spirals, tough, natural leader, etc.
> would scream at the tv everytime he overthrew someone, which was often.
ahh more uniformed confirmation bias bullshit. HE'S THE 30th MOST ACCURATE PASSER IN NCAA HISTORY. 1ST IN FSU HISTORY.
http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/leaders/pass-cmp-pct-player-career.html
Stop with this fucking nonsense. You don't know what you're talking about. ever.
Marrone was well-prepared and business-like. I don't think the players had any love for him. He seemed to run a pretty tight ship and wouldn't take any crap.
I'm also a Syracuse Orange fan, and really appreciated how he cleaned up a very bad program, bringing it back to plus-.500 relevance, so I'm biased.
Still, Marrone wasn't working with very much in Buffalo on the offense side and did managed to eke out a 9-7 season (beating a Garoppolo Patriots team in Week 17). A caveat, though, is that many feel that with the defense they had it could have been a 10 or 11-win team - there were games that year which left fans scratching their heads because players on offense simply weren't being utilized properly. Hackett at OC is generally considered a bust - he may have seemed good at SU, where he coached up Ryan Nassib into a NFL player, but in Buffalo he was terribly bland.
Hackett was initially made famous here for claiming he would run CJ Spiller into the ground and then barely using him (202 att). Spiller was gone two years later. Sammy Watkins? Don't throw to him (65 catches). EJ Manuel? Bench him for Kyle Orton after one season and ruin his potential forever.
To be fair, EJ does suck and Spiller can't take a lead-back workload. Still, it felt like the coaches were busy trying to push their own vision for the team and some players were left behind.
Anyway, ESPN did a real piece on Marrone that I think gives better perspective than any of us can provide. It's a fairly written column, without much of the injured hate you'll see here.
So im certain everyone else here can cover the tire-fire of an offense Hackett ran, but allow me to paint a "food for thought" silver lining around a few points (so that you can try to convince yourself that the jags aren't 100% fucked)
1) EJ was his quarterback. Most of us here at r/buffalobills, save /u/bceltics933, are firmly behind EJ being a bad QB... which lends to the thought of, "What would happen if Hackett had a better QB to work with? certainly he could do better, right?"
2) One of our beloved players at the time said that Hackett couldn't do what he wanted to do... So with this in mind, what would happen if the Jags adopt the No-Huddle? One of the reasons it got scrapped in Buffalo is that, if the offense goes 3 & out (courtesy of the Run,Run,Pass,Punt), your defense doesn't even get enough time for gatorade. If Bradley/Hackett can prevent those 3 & Outs, expect good things.
3) We play the Patriots. Twice. Every Year. (Not really a shot at Hackett, but worth mentioning)
Good luck, JagBro. (My Gf inexplicably likes your team, so much I had to buy her a POZ jersey)
Further proof the league is conspiring to keep the Steelers great

This hit the jets so hard they couldnt even get to the line in time and had to call a time out next play. It was a lowkey moment that sent the message that this D is not going to give an inch if they could help it. It set the tone for the season
I pay for NordVPN. Set it to an Indian VPN. Log on to NFL Gamepass International. There I saw a free option to watch the preseason games live. I paid the $125 option to be able to watch regular season games live and on demand.
I was a young fellow in the 1980s - in the US Air Force. I worked an AirEvac squadron. Back in 1985/1986, we started shipping guys home - mainly from Thailand and Korea - because they tested positive on something called a Western Blot test. I can't speak to numbers overall, but we shipped a bunch of servicemen.
A few years later I read "And The Bland Played On" by Randy Shilts. Turns out that all they knew at the time was that if someone tested positive for that test, well.....it was time for them to get their affairs in order......

The new privacy oriented Brave browser with built-in ad blocking.
The only time I see YouTube ads are when I am using the chromecast to watch a YouTube video.
If you're feeling ambitious you might want to build a Pi-Hole Official site. Network-wide ad blocking for your home. Smart TVs, laptops, telephones, tablets, you name it. Browse from your network and you don't have to deal with ads. If you're using VPN on your cell you can reap the benefit of ad-free browsing wherever you go.
So I understand, anyway. I've not built one of those yet but I'm seriously considering one.
Yeah, our players are clearly performing excellently in the 3-4.

Pro-tip: When you go to the falls, the real fun area to explore is called "devils hole" near the rapids. It is a hike, but it is 100% worth it and is much different than the normal tourist type thing. Look for the stone stairs and start to head down. Go south towards the falls and away from the dam where the big rapids are, it is amazing to be that close to them. If you go at the right time you can see the jet boats flying through that area which is pretty cool. It is probably a 3 mile hike so be prepared.
yeah I made a version of it for both the Sabres and Bills, does look a bit more like a hockey logo tho. It was made to be thrown on some t-shirts in which, obviously, I couldn't use the trademarked logos. https://teespring.com/bloodsweattears
It might block it within the app, but you can share your full screen, at least with an Android. I streamed an Instagram concert to my TV this way. I couldn't turn my screen off, but I just kept my phone plugged in.
If you have an iPhone, you can mirror your screen. Scroll down until you find "Mirror your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch." If you have Android, this should work. I would suspect your TV could change these options though.
If you have Paramount+, you can get any CBS broadcast games. If you’re watching on a smart TV, you can override your auto-location ONCE. I set mine to Buffalo’s ZIP code. If you’re watching on a computer, a quality VPN should work, but you may need to play around to see which type of network works. I had ExpressVPN and had to change protocols until I found one the website didn’t recognize.
LEAFS FAN!? GET OUT OF HERE YOU BASTARD!
in all seriousness, here's a fun infographic of the basics. As for strategy and interesting insights? That will come after you understand the situations. Understanding situations and the gravity of certain moment in the game are absolutely paramount, because football is all about suspense. It's the way we get through the monotony of setting up the ball, the constant commercial breaks, etc.
To understand the gravity of specific moments, it's important to be well-versed in the complexity of the rules.
/r/nflnoobs is a good sub for the basics, and its also its own little niche community that can help with questions you may be uneasy asking here. I'd also suggest simply scouring wikipedia articles on the rules and such, those can help. Funny enough, it mostly ends up in discussing flags and what each call means, which goes to show that penalties and what/how they are handled are really the biggest obstacle in learning the game. So if you can understand evrey penalty that gets called, you are probably ready to get deep into strategy and formational discussion.
Anyways, if you are really serious about learning, there is absolutely no better resource than Take Your Eye Off the Ball which I have suggested to countless people that have loved it. Even people who already know all the rules learn a TON in that book.
Good luck friend, and welcome to Bills Mafia
You need a HDMI A/B Switch so you don't gotta swap cords, only push a button!
Anyone know if you're allowed to bring zippo handwarmers into the stadium? (Link here)
I know you can't bring the battery ones in, but wasn't sure about this. I'd hate to have to toss it at the gate...
Points don't mean shit, huh. Is that your reverse-Madden?
I brought up the 41 points but I can also bring up the Dolphins rushing attack or the Jets throwing all over the field. The point stands - the defense has played like crap but people are choosing to complain about the quarterback instead.
Quibble about the methods if you want to, but ESPN QBR does put the better performers at the top. Tyrod is currently #7 in the NFL. He's absolutely NOT bottom of the barrel - think of how Houston, Jets, Rams, and Miami fans are feeling about their QBs, and then ask yourself if you want to trade with them?
I know weather forecasts aren't super accurate more than a week out, esp in Western, NY, but it is supposed to be a snowy, wet weekend.

All I can tell you is that on game days, I've been able to watch the game on my phone through the app.
DirectTV Sunday ticket can be purchased and will stream out of market games live. If you’re not eligible, or want in market games, you can become eligible if your laptop was somehow located in Germany (Nord, ExpressVPN)
I had one vintage bills sweater for my pajamas.
I'm currently wearing a slightly less vintage bills sweater that was my late uncle's. When going to Wegmans, I wore my Bills winter jacket and Bills trapper hat.
I really love the jacket and it's only $40 on Amazon

Even though you have reasonable people like the former VP of NFL officials saying "if it's a large fine and not games then [the NFL] doesn't have any guts," you will always have people with after-the-play bloodlust like apparently ESPN columnist Matt Bowen who says he'd, "love to play with Vontaze Burfict."
It's awful and I hope they receive significant backlash sinc ehe only got a $75K fine or as the Bengals referred to as, "a slap on the wrist." He even apparently has the ability to appeal it.
ESPN still isn't giving us love; ranked 16th in their power rankings http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17759755/nfl-2016-week-6-power-rankings-minnesota-vikings-new-england-patriots-pittsburgh-steelers
Coverage map says you'll get the Tampa game.
Maybe do a free trial with someone like NordVPN and set your location to Buffalo. Stream through Paramount+ or your TV Provider's app and cast your phone or tablet to the tv.
I just typed American flag buffalo bills and got this.

Was a pretty easy search
Problem is they don’t play in Boston, they play in Foxborough which is decently in land. Where their average is only 5.9 MPH during the winter months vs. 8.9 for Buffalo. With almost every category Buffalo is more than “a little” worse.
Totally random?
You realize that they are playing a game and more specifically a position where players are actively trying to knock him forcefully to the ground, right?
Seems like you (as a team) would want to steer clear of guys who have shown a tendency to have gotten concussions so it's less of a concern.
You see how guys are treated in Football once they have shown a history of concussions right? Every knock they take is taken MUCH more seriously (as well it should). Just a quick article discussing the concern: https://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/news/20031118/one-concussion-increases-risk-of-more#1
Everyone has a concussion card, I just don't know why you'd take a chance on a guy who already has some notches on his.
> That was largely because the Pats had backed off in the 2nd half. Had they pressed the entire time it wouldn't have been close.
This is a complete myth that everyone bought into last year every time they discussed the game. If the Pats were backing off in the 2nd half they wouldn't have spent their last 4 drives actively trying to score - check the play-by-play and you'll find the following:
Over their last 4 drives of the game, the Patriots attempted a pass 16 times vs attempting a run 2 times. With 8:15 left in the game, they tried for a 4th down conversion on the Bills' 41 instead of pinning Buffalo back inside the 20 (the Bills then went 59yds in 2:43 to score).
With 4:15 left in the game - a clear opportunity to kill clock and just end it - the Patriots continued throwing until they reached FG range at the 2min warning. They went up 8 with 1:15 to go, which was a minute and 15 seconds that could have easily been killed via running plays.
I don't buy it. New England did not pull back. They tried to punish Rex but it didn't work - they almost lost because of it.
Maybe pick up something like this and then sew or glue a Bills patch over the logo?
(Nike, Under Armour, Adidas only seem to have black versions available. Under Armour did have a white version, but it's sold out. The item I linked appears to have received plenty of strong reviews though.)
$29.12 shipped. They had cheaper options, but I opted for the "premium t-shirt" (which is supposed to be higher quality and have a larger printable area). I used redbubble paired with a 20% off coupon code I found online. I've never done shirts before, so I can't say whether or not this is a recommended route, although the print quality does appear to be very good. My artwork was taken down a few days after I ordered mine due to a copyright claim by the NFL (I'm assuming for the crude Bills logo I put on McDermott's hat). I got my shirt though and it is glorious.

I live in SoCal and have Sunday Ticket via DirecTV thankfully. Long story as to why I can't have a second or third DirecTV receiver to make this much simpler. But I did some research for a couple reasons... one reason was for my friends who are fans of non-LA teams and the other was for game day when I have friends over who root for other teams.
The Bills' game will be on the main TV with Sunday Ticket of course... duh. But I want to have two other TVs brought into the room to show other games simultaneously.
Locast looked promising... until it went away.
So last night, I tried using the CBS/FOX apps and ExpressVPN. These do require a "TV Provider Login" which is easy enough to come by if you have a friend that subscribes to cable/satellite TV. My concern was that besides "geo-location" using the IP which I can obfuscate using VPN... that somehow they would see that the "TV Provider Login" was for the Los Angeles market.
I'm happy to report that on FireTV and/or NVidia Shield devices... using a VPN gets me the out of market local CBS/FOX broadcasts no problem. The pic shows me watching Chicago broadcasts.
So using these apps with ExpressVPN and this website that tells you what games are shown in which market... I should be able to have multiple TVs going with multiple out of market games.
Just wanted to share because I saw a lot of Reddit threads saying that using a TV Provider Login locked you into the market of where your login's account is based. This is not the case.
GO BILLS.
Yeah. If it geo locks you to your local city and it’s on local TV then it’s blacked out. But a VPN solves that.
For days when friends come over and want to watch other games while I watch my Bills, I setup ExpressVPN and the Fox/CBS apps (since I have a TV Provider login). Just tested and I can watch local TV from Seattle/Chicago/etc. Plan is to have 3 TVs in the room when friends are over.
Whenever I see this card

it reminds me of Chang and Eng Bunker and the fact that Eng lived on for a time after Chang died.
This is the pack I got. I was worried the red wasn't going to look right, but it seems to look right.
I tried a few different options, and it looks like any device that has location services doesn’t work (mobile, web browser, etc). However, I am currently watching the local San Francisco news on the fire stick. My set up is NordVPN and Locast running on a fire stick.
SundayTicket is a streaming service. You don’t need Dish network.
It is the ONLY NFL approved option for streaming the NFL for out of market games.
If you know someone in Buffalo and stick an AirTV in their house with an antenna you could stream any of the local channels wherever you are. Your AirTV wouldn’t effect their experience. You don’t even need it plugged into a TV. Just Wifi and an Antenna. AirTV 2 by AirTV-LLC https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XLTYBQ6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_89YRNRM81WS6K33H1Q13
I use NordVPN. They have an app for the fire stick as does Locast, so I can just stream right through the TV from there. I don’t really see any real advantage over any of the others, so long as the VPN has a decent selection of servers throughout the States.

Game of My Life is a fantastic book that discusses what Bills' players consider to be the game of their life. They interview the player, give info about them before and after the game, while also going in depth about what makes that particular game special. Starts pre-NFL and works there way up to Kelly and others. An excellent read for Bills fans!
I bought this for my phone 2 years ago...sturdy and strong case, dropped it a couple times but luckily not on the screen.
has enough room for credit card, ID and cash.
You definetly should pick up the History of the Buffalo Bills DVD
I lived through all the 80-90's stuff and this easily the best documentary on the Era as well as the rest of the History.
Keep in mind this crew was also on a team with James Lofton, Beebe, Pete Metzalaars, and on Def- Kelso, Odomes, Ray Darby Bentley, Jeff Wright (broke marinos 'games without a sack' record and the rest of the Bend but don't break defense.
