> Not just when they go to parties and stuff with friends
......do people change wallpapers based on events? I just set it to shuffle and have a new one everyday.
Edit: I used an app [link] and had a fold r on my SD card with various wallpapers. Now I have a pixel. Google makes this app [link] Which let's you choose. From a couple (limited) categories. Within the categories that are stills (as there are some that are animated) you can simply choose "shuffle"
The simplest way may be using photos and a wallpaper changer. I don't know how many shots you have, but if for example there were 1,440 so one per minute, just create a folder with the photos in order and set the wallpaper app to start that folder in order (no random) at noon and change the photo every 60 seconds and that should do it.
I use Wallpaper Changer ([link]) and it looks like that would do it.
If you're using Android, there are several apps in the Play Store that can do this. The one I use is Wallpaper Changer.
You could also use IFTTT, but that's probably a lot more in-depth than you want if you're only going to use it to change your wallpaper every minute and a half.
I set my wallpaper to cycle through them all randomly using Wallpaper Changer.
For anyone who wants to download them all at once: [link]
I've been using this app for a while, and haven't had any issues with it. I personally have it set to change every unlock, and haven't noticed any extra battery loss.
Hey everyone, so a while back we had this point in time where everyone was posting isometric backgrounds. The only issue was I couldn't find any for cell phones.
These are from /u/antyone and /u/drizzlicious. I just extended them in a 9:16 ratio and that was it.
These backgrounds are 2560x4551 and the Mirage one is 2888x5144. Also I use this program on Android called Wallpaper Changer and have them rotating every 30 min.
Wallpaper Changer. I use it to change wallpapers every 6 hours from a folder I have. Being a live wallpaper, it has some benefits over apps that simply change the static image every couple hours, such as the fact that the wallpaper rotation pauses if your screen is off or if your are playing a game with a live wallpaper, while it would keep changing with a static wallpaper. The dev talks more about this on the app's faq. It is worth checking out.
Wallpaper Changer - this is the one I used. Just set the folder(s) you want to pick from and how often you want it to change.
I'd say it's even easier to do with Wallpaper Changer, and it's free
(also offering an option to change background if you double tap the homescreen)
This might me useful for those of you on android, its a wallpaper changer. Allows you to change on double tap on screen, at a certain time, or whenever you unlock your phone. Google Play Store Link
I didn't know the G7 could even do that. If you can't figure it out, try the app called, surprisingly, "Wallpaper Changer" from j4velin (link: [link] ). You can set it to look at specific directories, set the change interval, and it has a widget to force a change to the next image. I have about 10,000 images I've saved/taken that it randomly picks from every 3 minutes. It seems to have little to no impact on the phone performance.
TL;DR: I seriously need to stop saving images for wallpaper.
The best I can think of is Wallpaper Changer and downloading a bunch of mobile anime wallpapers at /r/Animewallpaper (They have a mobile tag you can click and it will only show mobile wallpapers) then put them in a folder for the app to switch through.
For people on android I highly recommend using an app so that it randomly switches between these every so often. it's makes it soo much more awesome
Figured seeing as people approved of my furry trash wallpaper post, I'd post the rest of them too. I've cropped them all to a 9:16 aspect ratio for use on phones (1080x1920, etc.). I've got them set to change automatically every three minutes, using the Wallpaper Changer app. If I add any more to my collection, I'll try and remember to stick 'em in the album too. c:
If you have an Android phone, may I introduce you to the fantastic app that is Wallpaper Changer it is a 'live' wallpaper that allows you to have multiple different wallpapers on rotation, the premium version allowing you to have different categories, which can be disabled and enabled individualy. Like an NSFW categorie, and other for each different anime or other type of wallpaper.
Simplest one I found. Been using it for 5 years now. I don't let my apps auto-update, so the version I'm staying on is 4.5.2.
Nah man! If you find some please share it here... I think IFTTT is pretty customizable, you just need to know how to code the applets (which i clearly don't). All the best! EDIT: Try this app (Android), seems similar to the question: [link]
Not OP, but I've been using this one for years: [link] There are others, but this one has the most options when it comes to decide how often you want your wallpaper to change.
I been using Wallpaper Changer for years now.
I download/put images I like on that phone, import into the app (allows for Crop option)
And set how often to change it (every X min/hour/day/lock)
Can also select and pick manually. Can have multiple Albums.
Try out - Backdrops, Wallz, InsWall, Amoled wallpaper
And use a automatic wallpaper changer app [link] To rotate through the downloaded wallpapers in ur phone ;) It won't drain your battery and will give a nice touch of dynamic-ness coming from the monotonousity of iOS
Try out everyother tweak and you will be amazed by this beast :)
It's pretty cool. You set up albums and it'll cycle through them. They've now added the ability to do some location based stuff too.
Figured it out. Huehuehue I downloaded this [link]
Then set it to change at 9:11 everyday.
Edit:Never mind it only changes the wallpaper and not the lock screen.
Nova launcher doesn't control your wallpaper. You can use external apps to accomplish this. Quick search of the play store got me this: [link]
I have not tried it, so I cannot vouch for how well it works
Ikr, I was like yea I might as well get it on the sale, (2017, and no it wasn't on sale) I was bulk buying a bunch that was on sale never regretting a penny, I will never go back to static wallpapers! For phone I recommend [link] and buying the premium version for 10 SEK
This app does just that , covers all the basics , been using it for years (hasnt updated in forever but it only has one job and does it well)
I've been using an app to rotate through them everytime I unlock my phone.
This is the one I use on Android. Dunno about iPhone.
Wallpaper Changer: [link]
Changes wallpaper at different times which you can set, double tap to change, different albums, etc. Many features, good app, small fee to unlock some features.
Muzei is nice but I found it has a problem in applying an image properly if it isn't the dimensions for the phone
Wallpaper changer has preset dimensions, so it applies the wallpaper properly. I have tried both and feel Wallpaper Changer is better
It's an Android App, use it on my Note 9, and have used it on every phone I have had.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.wallpaperChanger&hl=en&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dwallpaper+changer&pcampaignid=APPU_1_WhExX4PSJY6a4-EP2dCMyAY is the Google Play store link.
One that I use, Wallpaper Changer gives you the option of changing the app on screen unlock. You can also point it to a watch folder from which to pull the images in:
If you have an android phone, let me introduce you to the Lord and saviour Wallpaper Changer, it have multiple wallpapers saved in a albums, that it can cycle through on a timer or just whenever you unlock your phone. I'm honestly scarred to see how much space it takes up on my phone.
I used Wallpaper Changer. You upload your pics (or choose a watch folder) and set your rotation frequency. Does the job perfectly fine for me.
At one point I did use This app. There are many apps out there that can change the wallpaper. Just need to look around for good ones
I use Wallpaper Changer with Nova gestures. Link below. I did purchase the full version years ago, but I believe the free version may work the way you want. I'm not sure though. Worth a try [link]
I've used Wallpaper Changer for like, 4 years now. It works great at cycling WPs, and I believe there is an option to have the WP scroll with the home screen.
Create a folder somewhere on your phone and put all the image files that you want to use as a wallpaper in there. Then use an app like Wallpaper Changer and point it to that folder with images and it will rotate through the wallpaper images.
This app doesn't provide the pictures, but if you find them elsewhere I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.wallpaperChanger&hl=en_US
Hey! I actually did end up downloading an app to do this. I've been using it basically since I made this post and I haven't noticed any battery drain at all. I like the double tap home screen to change wallpaper function, as well as organizing by folders (I have them set up by season now) and changing every X hours.
Hope that helps :) I do wish it was stock though. The technology obviously exists baked into the phone already. Come on, Samsung!
Not that I'm aware of but this app works well for doing as much: [link]
Have used it for a few months now and haven't noticed any sort of taxing on the battery or anything.
Did you try IFTTT? I'm not such an expert, but it's the only one I could think about. Edit: for local pictures there is very nice [link]
Well I've been using an app called Wallpaper Changer and have it set to change every 25 minutes on a 125 album (and growing) of my favorite phone wallpapers (mostly space and cool designs) This is the Link
This app let's you set different wallpapers for a period of time, if you only load 1 image then there's no wallpaper changing, the thing is the app can set the image you chose for both home and lockscreen.
Wallpaper changer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.wallpaperChanger
can do exactly what you want, you can set it up to change the wallpaper in set time Intervalls and/or whenever you unlock your phone.
Wallpaper Changer
Love it. Works great. I haven't wanted to set it up recently but when I do, it works fantastic. I can trigger it from the notification tray to change the image, I can make albums for certain times of the year and I can update and add images very easily. Not a material design but the app works and works great!
I tried Google's wallpaper app at first but it was crashing randomly.
I found wallpaper changer on the Play Store. This one seems to work. Paid version can manage different folders to organize the pictures by theme.
You can set any interval you want, in days, hours, minutes or seconds. It can also change the wallpaper every time the phone is unlocked.
You can also darken the image so the text is easier to read.
Not by default means.
You can install wallpaper changing apps that has conditions you can set, such as: [link]
Alternatively, you can use Live Wallpapers that hosts a collection of photos that can be changed depending on the condition.
I use a combo of Wallpaper Changer (to select specific local folders) and Muzei (for nice blurring/dimming effects)
Wallpaper changer (anyways sometimes, like 1-2 times per month, the wallpaper changes in a strange way and I have to do it manually)
Also, here is the post where I got the wallpapers I use (check it out, the wallpapers are awesome)
Great app! I use Wallpaper Changer ([link]) as the source and configured wallpaper changer to change wallpapers every time I unlock the phone. I set Wallpaper changer's source as a folder with about 300 images I downloaded from 500px.
Something I noticed during a recent update is that when I double tap the screen to unblur the wallpaper, the transition isn't as smooth anymore and the wallpaper fades to black quickly before unblurring. It used to be a very nice smooth transition from blurry to clear.
Wallpaper Changer Seems to have all the features you want, except grabbing the images from some online source (it wants a local folder).
You could browse /r/wallpapers and sort by top/all-time and there are several albums with hundreds of wallpapers in them. I'm sure someone has come up with a method to download entire imgur albums simultaneously. So with maybe 10-15 minutes of work, you could probably get over a thousand images, which should be good for one per day for a few years...
Sorry I don't know of any app that solves all your requirements, except KLWP. But KLWP is possibly overkill for you.
This one is better if you want changing wallpapers ever x amout of time
I'm using Wallpaper Changer, which rotates through your own wallpapers and is very nice. It's not exactly a "real" live wallpaper, but if you have lots of static images you want to use it's perfect.
I have an app that changes the wallpaper to Batman/DC Textless covers.[ This ] But I want to do the same with the lockscreen. What's the app name?
These are my smash wallpapers 2nd might not be to size.
If you're interested in multiple wallpapers I use an app called wallpaper changer to cycle through all my wallpapers.
This is what I use for something similar. It's called Wallpaper Changer (a very creative name I know). It should be able to do what you're asking. Plus it's free, so just give it a whirl.
For anyone interested, I actually shuffle through all of these, using this app on my Android. There may be something similar on iPhone, I'm not sure, but this app works great, just place all the backgrounds in a folder, and you're ready to go, it'll shuffle through them all at a pace set by you.
Hope you guys enjoy!
This maybe? [link]
I personally only use it to change from one image to the next at certain times (light image during day and dark image at night) but it does folders/albums too, You have to buy premium ( It's a IAP) to use folders/albums.
You can set dates too.
Model: GS6
ROM: Stock
Theme: Flat Candy
Launcher: Nova Prime
Icons: Adastra
Wallpaper: Wallpaper Changer randomly changes the wallapaper every thirty minutes pulling from a folder of 350+ 1440x1560 wallpapers
Weather widget: 1Weather
No doubt! I have a folder if my phone with all of my favorite images I find on this subreddit, and I use Wallpaper Changer ( [link] ) to change to a random wallpaper whenever I unlock the phone to keep things feeling fresh.
I use this app to do exactly that: [link]
You can disable it being a live wallpaper in the settings and it works fine for me.
I have it change at 8pm to a darker wallpaper and then at 7am it changes to a lighter wallpaper.
Every 15 minutes. I have the Wallpaper Changer app and over 600 pics, mostly from /r/EarthPorn with some /r/SpacePorn too.
I also run a clean home screen so that unlocking leg me see the whole image.
Wallpaper changer: [link]
For any Android users interested in setting up a system where these update automatically, I was told that this app works: [link]
Wallpaper Changer
I've been using Wallpaper Changer. [link]
I use mostly movie posters (like these or these) but since you opened the Rick and Morty can of worms, here's an illustration I made of Rick specifically for use as a phone background (I like my backgrounds wide so they pan around between screens.
Also, I've found Wallpaper Changer to be a fine choice for automatically rotating through my folder of backgrounds. The ability to darken all wallpapers by just a little bit is a nice touch to keep items/widgets easy to read above any image.
Wallpaper Changer:
Wallpaper Changer for its time/location based customization options and Muzei integration
Thank you so much for adding mobile support, OP!
If you can't decide on which one to use for your background, use this: [link]
This motivated me to finally set up my phone (I flash ROMs constantly and have become lazy)
Thank you so much OP. Someone please give this man gold!
Edit: Just in case people are wondering about my set up, I'm using Nova Launcher and UCCW for the background widgets.
I have been using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.wallpaperChanger for years, works perfectly
For any Android users interested in setting up a system where these update automatically, I was told that this app works: [link]
Wallpaper Changer seems to be what you're looking for.
Android! I'm using this app!
i use it. best app for this out there
This app has options like you are looking for: [link]
That should work.
Yes I posted about this last week and another redditor suggested the app [link]
Ad free is only .99usd!
I've been using this app for a while
I've been using Wallpaper Changer for years. Haven't felt the need for another, if that helps.
Been using this for years!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.wallpaperChanger
With this one it should work.
For any Android users interested in setting up a system where these update automatically, I was told that this app works: [link]
I've been using Wallpaper Changer on the Note 8 and Pixel 2 XL without any issues. I'm very happy with it.
Been using u/j4velin's Wallpaper Changer for a while. Simple, effective, free: [link]
You can try this app.
Wallpaper changer - I have all my favorite wallpapers saved to one folder in my gallery labeled "Wallpaper" which I selected to sync from in the app. I have it change every hour automotically, and I can double tap the homescreen to change it as well. I've had it for years and it's super simple and doesn't drain battery as far as I'm aware.
Transparent clock & weather widget - This is easily my favorite weather widget that I've had since it matches with my simple theme. I customized it so that it says my phone & sd card storage and my phone's temperature at the bottom, which can be helpful.
Adhell - This one specifically is for Samsung only, I believe. It works super well on the stock Samsung internet browser for when I'm watching porn. (Side note, if you're on Samsung, the internet browser's "secret mode" is SUPER nice. It can be password protected and you can save bookmarks.)
Screenshot Crop & Share - Super simple screenshot cropper. It just comes up as an overlay to your current screen without having to exit what you were doing, which I really appreciate.
Lyrically - This isn't on the play store, but as you can see on the link, it was made by a redditor. You can either tap the notifcation or swipe from the selected corner (so for me, I swipe up from the bottom left) and it comes up as an overlay to my current screen, and I can scroll through and pull it back down when I'm done. Like I said with the screenshot app, you don't need to exit out of what you're doing, which is really nice.
Texpand - Not sure if this counts as a hidden gem. I mostly use it so that when I say "shrug" it turns into ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and "fightme" turms into (ง'̀-'́)ง .
Wallpaper Changer can do this. Just create a home album and a work albums and schedule times to switch between the two.
There's an app for it [link]
This app might work (android). I just installed it and it has options to change wallpapers at defined times.
Haha true. Here ya go [link]
Wallpaper Changer, [link]
This does the trick
I use this app to change between wallpapers. You should be able to use it to do what you want.
Hmmm, or maybe download this app, [link]
Word, thanks!
There are a few different apps called "Wallpaper Changer". Which one are you referring to?
Also, while searching this sub for options I found Wallpaper Changer For Reddit by /u/Chibichuba. Most of the images I am using come from /r/earthporn anyway and it has all of the other features I'm looking for. It's been working pretty well so far.
Changer - Wallpaper Manager and Everyday Wallpaper are two more that look interesting but I haven't tried them yet.
I've tried a couple different ones but landed on wallpaper changer. It's pretty simple and does what I need it to do.
I'm using an app called Wallpaper Changer (Android), it scrolls through each wallpaper like a Windows theme.
You need to check out Wallpaper Changer

Theme:
Cell icon/info will switch to WiFi icon/info when WiFi is enabled
EDIT:
Also using Wallpaper Changer to change my wallpaper every hour to various /r/EarthPorn photo's I have downloaded.
Would Wallpaper Changer meet the requirement?
I use Wallpaper Changer to change the background everytime I press on the power button. Album.
The wallpapers are from Nautilus.
The icon pack is KasatMata.
The widget is a custom KWGT widget. The first time I have created one from scratch so it is quite simple. The time opens up my alarm clock, the date opens up my calendar, the weather opens up Today Weather app and the X opens up my app drawer.
I use Wallpaper Changer
Created a shortcut in nova using Wallpaper Changer.
edit: It doesn't need root.
If you have a android phone there are apps like this .
Just double tap the screen and the background change
I used to use this for changing my wallpapers automatically.

This works for me - [link]
Have you tried Wallpaper changer, I was using it for the same purpose. [link]
Any wallpaper changer application. I'm using this: Wallpaper Changer
You need an app for that. Wallpaper Changer will make a slideshow of pictures on your device. Other apps will use wallpapers from the web, e.g. Muzei, which has modules that can be added, Google's Wallpapers app, and Alpha Wallpapers. There are lots of them on the play store.
Yes, I use this, it's awesome and I get it to change mine based on time of day so I have a day wallpaper and a night one. [link]
I use this app:
Then I just dump all the wallpapers I like in the album in the app and set the rotate time to an hour
I use it aswell. Together with other 15 Quints on a slide. If you're on Android, i recommend this app.
Paying rent is annoying. Anyway, here's the setup details.
Wallpaper: Here but I've been testing out quite a bit and this setup will fit with any wallpapers (even with your Arkn*ght waifus). Here's some shots I did through my walls collection using Wallpaper Changer. Also looks good with Betta live wallpaper (see here).
Icon pack: O3 Icon Pack
Widgets:
Launcher: This time you're gonna need Lawnchair 2 since it has Allow Overlay on shortcut (so you could stack multiple shortcuts on the same place) and Wide Widgets (to make your widget go all the way to the edges of your screen), unless there's other launchers that has these features. So there you go Lawnchair dev, a free promotion I guess.
There are plenty of those already. Here's one example
I also use the app Wallpaper Changer so that my huge collection is always refreshing and giving me a new wallpaper to see.
I use this wallpaper changer app. It lets you set timer to change wallpapers.
I use this app which only has by number of hours but works well
I use this app. [link]
Wallpaper changer, [link]
Very low battery use. The ones that go to the web use a lot more battery, even when set on local images.
Wallpaper Changer. [link]
yes, I installed Wallpaper Changer, just tried rebooting my phone and it seems to work fine.
Both are available actually. Ah since you haven't googled it. Here's a link to a free one on the play store.
Heres a link to the app on the play store. You can set to change when you double tap home screen, or just at a certin time
I use Wallpaper Changer, I love it.
OCD about changing your wallpapers all the time? Then just use this [link]

I am using this:
I've used this app before and it worked for me.
I use Wallpaper Changer (play store link) and it works both on the home and lock screen. Lots of cool features too.
Edit: Apologies. The wallpaper doesn't change with each page, only with each time the phone is unlocked
Wallpaper Changer is pretty good from my experience. YMMV
Sure, sorry [link]
It's called Wallpaper Changer for Android.

I know they're not quite at the right resolutions, but these are really nice and look excellent on the 6P's screen.
I also recommend Wallpaper Changer if you want an app that will cycle through wallpapers. I haven't noticed any difference in battery life using it. Simple app, but it does its job.
U can try this wallpaper app
I use a wallpaper app to rotate between pastel Kotori wallpapers.
If you're on Android, consider picking up Wallpaper Changer from the Play Store to use all of them at the same time!
