OPPORTUNIST (Passive):
Sombra can see enemies, who are below 50 percent health, through walls.
MACHINE PISTOL:
Sombra’s fully-automatic machine pistol fires in a short-range spread.
HACK:
Sombra hacks enemies to temporarily stop them from using their abilities, or hacks first aid kits to make them useless to her opponents.
THERMOPTIC CAMO:
Sombra becomes invisible for a short period of time, during which her speed is boosted considerably. Attacking, using offensive abilities, or taking damage disables her camouflage.
TRANSLOCATOR:
Sombra tosses out a translocator beacon. She can instantly return to the beacon’s location while it is active (including when it’s in mid-flight).
EMP (Ultimate):
Sombra discharges electromagnetic energy in a wide radius, destroying enemy barriers and shields and hacking all opponents caught in the blast.
She's a tank
Main fire: Projectile machine gun with long range
Alt fire: Sends out a pulse that can be reactivated for a mini-graviton surge that pulls in for a brief moment
Fortify: Immune to crowd control and 'tougher'. Examples are concussive blast. Active ability with an unspecified uptime.
Protective Barrier: Sends out a barrier half the size of Winston's bubble where she aims that works like all the other barriers.
Ultimate: Throws a device onto the ground that supercharges any ally in LoS, think Lucio, increasing damage. It can be killed by enemies.
Here's a picture of her official page on the Overwatch website for those who are at work.

I was banned for Symmetra one-tricking like a month ago. I always tried my best and peaked top 400 just before the ban. Here's what I was told:
>As we discussed, in this game it is very important to play as a team and communicate with others regarding the heroes picks as well. Our developers are aware of some of the heroes being less popular than others, and some even considered as you say as "troll" by others. But believe me they do their best to balance the game and make each of the hero unique and worth the play. Sometimes the team consistency may not be ideal for the certain hero and you will just need to swap to some other hero to complete the group to be able to perform as best as the group can. While sometimes your pick will be just perfect for the set up. Please feel free to raise this matter on the Overwatch forums, which are being monitored by the game developers themselves: https://playoverwatch.com/en-gb/community/

If anyone is watching, this is Sekon. At the time of posting this, (s)he is a high masters / low gm widow main.
After posting this, I realize OP is /u/SekonOW. Nice flicks, tho.
Nice, the link is working now!
Nothing major here, though this does confirm:
You get a report system with it :)
Edit: ... probably. Edit 2: Yep! https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/game/patch-notes/ps4 ---> General ---> Player reporting has been enabled (Both, for PS4 and XBOX)
This is awesome! I'm glad they actually took time to create a quality skin for this instead of just doing a recolor or something!
Also, when I first read their charity page i saw
> your purchase of the Pink Mercy skin to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 USD
And I was like aww wtf?!
EDIT: To clarify, i thought it was saying you get the skin if you donate a minimum of $250k
It's a new map for the new Deathmatch game mode, currently on PTR. The map's called "Château Guillard" and it's basically Widowmaker's family estate.

The leak was reasonably accurate! Anchora was probably her internal name, and it reflects in the description, too:
>Orisa serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates from the frontline with a protective barrier.
From here
It's already on their radar for some indeterminate point in the future.
> The Overwatch team—which is now part of a Blizzard-wide anti-toxicity initiative as well as a collaboration involving companies like Riot and Twitch called The Fair Play Alliance—is also examining the other side of the coin: how do you reinforce good behavior?
> “We can start looking toward the future and talking about things like, what’s the positive version of reporting?” said Kaplan. “Reporting is saying ‘Hey, Adrian was really bad and I want to punish him for that,’ but what’s the version where I can say ‘That Adrian guy was an awesome teammate and I’m so glad I had him’?”
> “We’re punishing the bad people, so how do we get people to start thinking about being better citizens within our ecosystem?”
> New hero option: allows players to adjust nano boost sensitivity

Edit 2: So many promo code requests. Just take my ~~spread sheet!~~
Edit 3: They've all been claimed! Once they all got claimed the spreadsheet got chaotic. I'm still giving out promo codes to anyone who submits a themed playlist to /r/androidrrm :)
Edit 4: Wow thanks for the gold!
Edit 5: I should have mentioned that you can also go pro for free if you and 4 other people are using the app at the same time in the same room. On the Pro page, click "enable Nearby" and the app will look for other RRM users nearby. Once 5 people are all together, you can all 5 go pro for free.
Well, that's pretty much what happened on the Moon.
> But [Winston's] life was thrown into chaos when the other gorillas led an uprising, killed the mission scientists, and claimed the [lunar] colony for their own. Taking on the name of his beloved human caretaker, Winston built a makeshift rocket and escaped to Earth. There he found a new home with Overwatch, an organization that represented everything he had come to admire about humanity.
This guy is our captain... kill me please. It's so stupid how youtubers that have very few hours played are team's captain. I guess that my country is retarded when they have to vote, that's why they chose the current joke of a president.
This reminds me of when it was revealed almost everything in WoW was tied to an invisible bunny that spawn-triggers actions https://kotaku.com/the-invisible-bunnies-that-power-world-of-warcraft-1791576630
That makes sense, but basing it strictly off McCree's backstory, there was no indication that he was given a second chance out of sympathy. https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/mccree/ Overwatch saw use in him as a member. When you think about how they saved Genji and gave McCree a chance, it's easy to think they just did it for goodness sake. But in both cases, they did it with the expectation that they would benefit Overwatch in some way (which they both did).
>And a lot of our fans have assumed "oh, that's why Reyes and Morrison hate each other"
I'm gonna nitpick semantics, but this isn't correct. The fanbase was deliberately led to believe that with the material we have so far.
Quote from <em>Fading Glory: On the Trail of Jack Morrison</em> > The UN rewarded Morrison for his contributions by making him Overwatch's first official commander. Reyes was passed over in the process, and it created a rift between the two men that would lead to tragic consequences.
It's not like anyone could have guessed otherwise when it is spelled like that.
The question now is, why the fictional author of the article painted the situation like that? Is that the official version of the facts given by the UN or whatever higher-ups? Bloody convenient to make it look like jealousy and infighting between two (believed) dead.
"Sombra is a stealthy offensive infiltrator who can hack enemy abilities, she can turn the tide of battle in subtle and not so subtle ways"
EDIT: Detailed info on Sombra's abilities, thank you /u/kittycatalyst!!!
> Her teleporter is her E. You toss it and have 15s to teleport to it. The tendrils is her right click and over time it will disable enemy abilities and hack health packs and turrets. Her Lshift is a temporary stealth and speed boost, she can also see through walls in that time. Her Q is an EMP blast that disables all enemy abilities for a short time in the blast radius. Her uzi gun does decent damage and feels squirrly to aim but that just be the mouses here being set to a higher dpi than I like
EDIT2: Sombra's official hero page on the Overwatch website!
damage beam is fucking terrible. It legitimately is. Blizzard themselves said that they want damage boost to be mercy's main source of damage as opposed to her pistol, when their own numbers showed that wasn't remotely true at all. They attempted to correct for this by heavily nerfing mercy's ult and buffing damage boost to compensate. They immediately reverted the boost buff and forgot to reconsider the other half of their rebalancing. The developers themselves WANT damage boost to be useful but THEY THEMSELVES know that pistol is far more used and far better. source: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/20178523
If you are behind a reinhardt shield, alongside several members of your team, its far better for you to use your pistol than it is to boost your mccree or 76.
times to use damage beam:
a) Use it for a split second when a roadhog hooks someone
b) When an ally is ulting
c) The DPS player is at full health, and shooting something that you yourself cannot shoot because you are behind cover.
in pretty much every single other circumstance where you would consider using damage boost, its better to use pistol instead. Not only because its higher damage, but because it charges your ult very quickly.
what bugs ME is when mercy + a DPS is attempting to kill some solo hero and all the mercy does is damage boost the dps when its almost always stronger to use pistol instead. A mercy using a pistol beside her dps is two heros. A mercy damage boosting her dps is 1.3 heros.
Well, it depends on how big the SEP groups were. If you've got 100 soldiers in each test group, then they started at the same time.
As for why Jack got leadership of Overwatch the organization when Reyes lead Overwatch the Strike Team:
"Leadership of Overwatch fell to Reyes, but Morrison would have a greater impact on the group in the long term. He brought out the best in the people around him and helped mold Overwatch's diverse (and sometimes conflicting) agents into a cohesive fighting force. In unity, they found the strength to defeat the robots and end the Omnic Crisis.
"Even I had my doubts about whether Overwatch would succeed," UN Under-Secretary-General Gabrielle Adawe, one of Overwatch's key architects, said shortly after the end of the Omnic Crisis. "But Morrison never gave up hope. He didn't just meet our expectations for what Overwatch and its agents could achieve; he shattered them."
The UN rewarded Morrison for his contributions by making him Overwatch's first official commander. Reyes was passed over in the process, and it created a rift between the two men that would lead to tragic consequences."
From: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/19809396/
That's the official reason why. Basically Morrison was the reason Overwatch the Strike Team was successful. So he was given leadership of Overwatch the organization.
Assuming, of course, that they don't retcon it as they're fond of doing. They already retconned the rift part. So I wouldn't put it past them to retcon all of it.

It's pretty accurate. Most people probably don't know this, but Lucio actually has dialogue where he actually dislikes Symettra.
The reason you don't hear this is no one plays Symmettra.
Streaks, and player performance should never be removed from any elo-based competitive system. The very system gets undermined by removing those 2 influences and it results in, like OP said, people being "cemented" in the rank/average SR they were in at the time streaks and player performance got removed. People who deserve to be higher have a harder time to get there. If you played flawlessly, but still lose due to 1 troll in spawn, you will gain nothing and it feels very bad. If there still was PP, the system would know you played better than the average player in that rank and would make you lose less SR on a loss and gain more on a win (which also feels good and fair/rewarding). Streaks and player performance go hand in hand in getting players to the SR they deserve to be at the fastest. OW should add it back in and should look at LoL's ranked divisions (for example gold V, IV, III, II, I). These divisions make it so that there are less large climbs and drops. In LoL, you need 100 "LP" (league points) to qualify for a promotion to climb to the next division on which you need to win 2/3 games to succeed. You gain more LP for a win if you played well/are playing well over the last couple of games and tho opposite with losses.
Honestly, big-mouthed players, who just have to be vocal about what should-, or should not be in the game, while having 0 understanding of it, is what's actually hurting the game. The devs are also to blame for sometimes actually listening to stupid things.
Fwiw, they deliberately made a separate "Legendary Skins" section under the global "New Skins" section on their https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/21353116 page.
So yeah, not that it's a guarantee, but this at least hints that there may be new epic skins.

Im really interested in how much money they raise
It's quite funny isn't it, imagine if you didn't know overwatch and heard of this lucio musician, literally the first link is a "news article" saying
> "Lúcio, an acclaimed musical artist who's built his career doing live shows, has already become something of a national icon in his home country of Brazil. Now he's poised to win an international following with his Synaesthesia world tour.
> "My heart beats for Brazil," Lúcio told Atlas News. "I get inspired by the people here. Their struggles. Their triumphs. I want to share that energy—the energy of their lives—with the rest of the world."
You'd think he was a real person since people wouldn't be particularly knowledgable about the brazillian music scene
I would recommend watching all the videos for the heroes on Overwatches offical page here: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/
Afterwards, try them out in-game.
Lastly, pick your favorites and look up guides. Here is a site for guides: http://www.owfire.com/ (same as hotsfire, just for ow)
Youtubers:

I do **not* recommend Overwatch Central, YourOverwatch or Unit Lost - they have went from good content to clickbait/shitty content.*
Streamers: (Get the hang of the game before watching them!)
> MoonMoon (Roadhog main), ReallyNavi (?), Poke (Genji main - can be salty at times), Seagull (projectile heroes), Surefour (Tracer main (?)), Harbleu (off tanks), IDDQD (hitscan), Gale_Adelade (Ana + hitscan), Mendokusaii (jack of all trades + quite educational), Valkia (Pharah), Kephrii (Widowmaker - can be a bit salty at times), DSPStanky (Lucio), Grego (supports)
Have fun, and feel free to ask more questions! (and PM me if you want my btag)

Well If ur daughter plays on PC You can do what the user above said OR you can buy a Blizzard Balance Card from Gamestop or amazon https://www.amazon.com/20-Blizzard-Balance-Card-Digital/dp/B012JMS4W2?th=1 (Digital Code Only) and suggest they buy lootboxes with it.
If she plays on Console, you can give her an Xbox/PS Gift Card and suggest the same as well. If u get it online u'll probably get a code sent to redeem it. If u get it in store u can give them the gift card physically.
its from the always sunny in philadelphia "self-help" book
you can buy it on amazon
I'm surprised with no teasers either from official social media channels.
Based on all the other event webpages, this URL will show you all the new skins, emotes, and highlight intros once they actually publish the content to their site, right now it will just lead to a broken URL:
His backstory has this in it.
>Survivors have described a black shadow ghosting unscathed through the most hellish battlefields. The few bodies recovered of those he kills are pale, empty husks drained of life, their cells showing signs of intense degradation. It is possible that he is a byproduct of failed genetic alteration which forces his cells to simultaneously decay and regenerate at a hyper-accelerated rate.
So yeah, Mercy probably did some medical stuff but messed up and now Reaper is in a constant state of decay and regeneration (old Trundle lore, anyone?) which would explain why he hates Overwatch
I love to imagine someone going to playoverwatch.com, trying the code, expecting something groundbreaking that would've been the next step in the ARG, and this is what they get.
BUG FIXES
General
Fixed a bug that caused some players to lose audio during the match Fixed a bug causing the vacuum-of-space sound effects from the Horizon Lunar Colony menu screen to persist even after selecting a new menu area Heroes
Fixed a bug that prevented Pharah’s “I am the rocket queen” voice line from playing correctly Fixed a bug that allowed Orisa’s ultimate to charge while her Supercharger was deployed
NO DOOMFIST! damn https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/game/patch-notes/ps4#patch-37890
Check out his actual bio in the story tab. In short, he was a martial artist that competed frequently, but he lost his arm in the omnic crisis. He had cybernetic prosthetics, but he was ineligible to compete in tournaments. Talon gave him a place to fight and he adopted his beliefs from the previous Doomfist. He wasn't interested in joining Overwatch.
https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/global-infrastructure/
Blizzard uses Amazon servers, and they simply don't have one in Africa at the moment. It's not up to Blizzard to add some, it's on Amazon. Looks like they're getting a server in Bahrain soon, maybe that will help.
Yes I used to be 500 SR I encountered these smurfs every weekend and it was horrible. Either they're throwing their way down or stomping up and it is a terrible game experience for at least 6 players. Also makes you feel you don't matter as the SR is just a playground and a joke to everyone else. I reported every single person to blizzard and with tickets, never any results or punishment. I was even told by one of these smurfs, there is a group who does this and they have a blizzard admin help them do it so they minimize the trouble they get in... but I have no proof to that claim.
Edit: Since I'm getting so much inbox grief about my last comment, I'm not saying if a staffer being involved is true or not, just had a conversation with someone who was doing the stomp back up and bragging through the whole match about it. Team Hanjo
Plus 9 new CTF maps and the ability to filter/search for custom games! I wonder if the CTF maps are the same maps as the KOTH maps.

HERO UPDATES
Lúcio
Sonic Amplifier
Projectile speed increased from 40 to 50
Alternate fire now considers vertical orientation when knocking targets back
Crossfade
Song's area-of-effect radius decreased from 30 meters to 10 meters
A temporary in-game visual has been added to illustrate this radius (it is only visible to Lúcio and his teammates)
Heal Song
Healing-per-second has been increased by 50% (also applies to Lúcio's Amp It Up ability)
Sound Barrier
Radius decreased from 30 meters to 20 meters
Wall Ride
Movement speed increased by 30% when wall riding
Lúcio now receives a burst of speed when leaping off a wall
Developer Comments: Lucio has often felt like a must-pick due to his raw healing output and the versatility of providing a speed bonus to your entire team. The goal of these changes is to keep those elements feeling strong, but making them harder to apply to everyone on your team at all times. The end result is that he should feel stronger with teams that he can stay close to but not as strong when on teams with heroes that are often spread out (such as Pharah, Widow, Genji, etc). Much of Lucio’s character power was tied up in his large passive auras, which caused other elements of his kit to be weakened over time in an attempt to balance him. Now that his auras are more focused it will allow them to be much stronger and allow Lucio to be more active in his role.
You can skip 1 and 2 by going to https://playoverwatch.com
Has it always been like that? I know you're right. I've seen it demonstrated, but.... good news!!!
The current PTR test version patch notes include:
"Fixed a bug that allowed enemy players to detect Sombra (while Stealth was active) if they were within a certain distance"
I never thought it was a bug, but... maybe?
If we convert it from decimal to normal text it says: 妷, and translated into english from japanese^1 it says "Mei" (for real)

The money pretty much gives you a swag bag, here an excerpt from the website
> look at the game's lore and storytelling efforts during a special developer panel hosted by Michele Morrow (not to mention some pretty sweet swag).
Edit: here is the link to the site
Junkrat's lore sets him up to potentially be the most important character out of the entire cast. His backstory is that he found some sort of "treasure" within the ruins of the Australian Omnium, the one that when destroyed turned the entire Outback into a Mad Max wasteland. It's never said what this secret is, just that it's huge. The entire reason he hires Roadhog is for protection because Junkrat is paranoid that people will come to steal his 'treasure'
That's why he reacts all sketchy when Hanzo asks him about it, because he's legit paranoid about people coming after him. His entire relationship with roadhog is based on this, as well, as Hog's just a hired merc who has to deal with this twitchy maniac's shit, while Junkrat like to think they're friends.
Again, whatever his 'treasure' is, we don't know. Given recent developments, I can't help but think it's tied to the Sombra conspiracy, but we'll just have to see. I wouldn't put it past Blizzard to put their endgame MacGuffin in the hands of the one character nobody would expect.
They're changing the mechanics of roadhog's hook, read about it here.
The joke is that after the change was announced, you'll see a significant amount of people on non-PTR nowadays saying stuff like "I can't wait for hook 2.0 (or 2.1)" whenever they get rekt via the hook, pretty much regardless of whether or not it was a clean hook or not.
In this case, hog landed a CLEAN hook on sombra, so it's a jab at those whiners :-)
Personally, I think people say it as an excuse for being out of position or not having the awareness...aside from the obvious through-the-wall/LOS etc hooks.
That is more than likely his mentor, Akinjide Adeyemi, who was the second Doomfist-- The Scourge of Numbani. He brought Akande to Talon initially and possessed a different point of view than Akande, leading to Akande killing him to become the new Doomfist.
You can read the whole story here on Doomfist's official Overwatch profile.
Hi guys I am the owner and creator of the site, I am aware of the bug for endorsements not always being 100% accurate we are looking into this issue as I type it we have a possible fix coming in a hour... Blizzard changed things on playoverwatch.com that remove the actual numbers so we get to solve how to make this work properly...
We have to convert the percentage they give to actual numbers... So these will not be 100% accurate but close to what you actually have after the next push
If you want more information feel free to join our discord and we will be able to explain it better
It's written in her bio that she's believed to be.
It's essentially A. In the story tab in her Hero Profile, the timeline is:
-Joins Blackwatch
-Venice Incident
-Overwatch Disbands
-Goes to Oasis
-Part of Talon
There are rumors that she's been secretly funded by Talon for years, but it's stated vaguely, so it's unclear whether that would just be concurrent with her work at Oasis or if she had connections with them during her time at Overwatch.
... So the only change to competitive is to hide sub-500 skill ratings?
I don't know.. I expected a little bit more. Oh well, time to warm up my gatling gun!
edit: obviously I wrote this before Blizzard posted this blog, but for the most part the sentiment holds true.
The Scourge is dead, Doomfist (Akande Ogundimu) killed him. From his bio page on the website:
> Adeyemi was a useful asset to Talon, but the organization saw far greater potential in Ogundimu, with his intelligence and his ability to inspire as a commander. While Adeyemi was content to profit from raids on Numbani, Ogundimu had a grander vision. This difference in aspiration would lead Ogundimu to kill his teacher and take on the mantle of Doomfist, along with the eponymous gauntlet.
Not long ago Jeff said that killing a story character is not out of the question. (But they will still be playable in game)
Source: https://kotaku.com/overwatch-could-kill-off-a-hero-one-day-but-theyd-stil-1825155693
How recent was this?
>Fixed a bug to prevent hit effects from being inflicted on D.Va’s human form while piloting the mech.
It looks like her suit breaking was canceling by the sleep. So she was supposed to be out of the suit before the actual animation occurred. Thought there was a fix with Ana's sleep messing with animations, but I can't find it now.
It's interesting that they're still doing these. I thought they were just pre-event hype things.
We're probably getting one for Moira too at this rate. Also, there was seemingly a fifth Blackwatch agent mentioned in the memorandum (second page, under Mission Report): "Agent [redacted] also secured a position [redacted]." Is it possible they might show us who that fifth agent is with one of these debriefs?
Although the Sombra ARG ended on Nov 2nd, this Atlas News article was posted on the 28th of October. If I'm not mistaken, it's the first time the name Sombra is mentioned outside the ARG, with the exception of the Dorado newspaper. ("Who is Sombra?")
It also fits with the 1-week-before-reveal teaser trend!
Where did you ever see it called Skydrop? Even the playoverwatch site says Meteor Strike.
edit: they already changed it to Meteor Strike in the patch notes
That's not a theory, it's literally from his official bio: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/reaper/
As for the Mercy thing, their pre-game voiceline interactions strongly suggest she's partly responsible for Reaper's condition:
Mercy: "What happened to you?" Reaper: "You tell me, doc."
My guess is that in the explosion that destroyed the Overwatch facility, Morrison and Reyes had a battle that left Reyes injured. Mercy tried to fix him, but something must've gone wrong and she assumed he didn't survive the procedure, so she doesn't know who Reaper actually is.
They have plastic cases for Funko boxes like these, you should grab one for that box, the top is both where a lot of the signatures are and where all the dust will collect!
If you head on over to playoverwatch, there is a schedule for all of the Twitch streamers that are participants in the charity stream! Gotta scroll down a bit :)
Edit: Here's a screenshot of the charity stream schedule! Couldn't do this earlier because I was running errands.
But Blizzard loves fan content. They even have reference kits on their media page so people can recreate their assets. As long as the game isn't being made for profit, it should be fine.
You're getting downvoted, but you're not wrong. I think the ability is cheesy as shit and needs to be changed or reworked entirely, but even on the official site the video of scatter arrow is Hanzo shooting it at the ground.
They made a GIF of it as well on the OW blog website

There are comics which are great and clarify a lot of character backstories/sidestories!
The best reference link I can give is this tumblr post - it's up to date with just about every bit of Overwatch lore-related media, and is constantly updated when more comes out :)
I'm a massive lore nerd so as soon as I got into Overwatch I went poking around for stuff haha
He started making these as gifs and uploading them to dribble, then decided to put it together in a vid. The descriptions are the best part
> Tracer is easily one of the most annoying characters in the game imo lol.
I know he uploads some of his stuff to vimeo.

Speaking specifically at number 3, was Doomfist's teaser subtle?
"...it can now be confirmed that what occurred was an attack by the Talon organization with the express purpose of freeing one man: Akande Ogundimu, better known as Doomfist."
"Rise and Shine" is set a little while ago - Mei has already reached civilisation and is up to heroics by the "present day" timeframe. Her exploits with the Endothermic Blaster are noted in this in-universe article about Talon's failed Doomfist theft, and she's on television talking about the climate in the "Reflections" comic, set some time after that.
Hey there Kaidanos, I don't think there was a conspiracy to filter questions from this interview. "Tough" topics like competitive play, reporting system, and toxicity are really important to the Overwatch team and we're comfortable talking about them. There were a lot of interviews with various Overwatch developers during BlizzCon. I'd expect articles written based on these interviews to become available soon if they're not already posted.
Jeff talked with Kotaku about reporting/toxicity in this article. We know the problem isn't solved yet, and we'll keep talking about changes as we push forward.
With regards to competitive play, this is an area of the game we love, and we have talked a lot about short term and longer term ideas that could make it an even better experience. Scott Mercer is a key designer in this area, there may be some interviews from him at BlizzCon that appear, but Jeff went into some detail with Your Overwatch here.
Cheers
I think you severely misread that post. It's a change.org petition attempting to convince ESRB to label loot boxes as gambling. Not an ESRB decision.
In fact, an ESRB spokesperson has already said that they don't consider lootboxes gambling.
Alternatively, if you're lazy and don't want to spend time filling everything out, you can login to and use the official Overwatch website.
They have an events dropdown menu that shows the most notable event items, and whether or not you own them. It even works for PS4 (and I assume XBOX) players if you have your account linked.
But again, it doesn't include every item category. Just skins, highlight intros and emotes. Victory poses, voice lines and sprays are sadly not included. Perhaps the community could convince them to catalogue everything at some point.

"It is believed that in her former life, Widowmaker was married to Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against the Talon terrorist organization. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon decided to change its focus to his wife, Amélie. Talon operatives kidnapped her and subjected her to an intense program of neural reconditioning. They broke her will, suppressed her personality, and reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. She was eventually found by Overwatch agents, apparently none the worse for wear, and returned to her normal life.
Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep."
While you are "technically" correct that not everyone shoots, the game type is STILL a first-person shooter (FPS). Look at literally the first line on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overwatch_(video_game) and even on Blizzard's own site, where if you scroll down the game is called a "team-based shooter" https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/.
An "action" game is something different from a First-Person Shooter, which is what Overwatch is. Jake just has the media savvy to not say "Shooter" which was a good move.
On her hero page they talk about it a bit more:
> ...she was caught unprepared when she stumbled into the web of a global conspiracy—one that had also noticed her. With her security irreparably compromised, ░░░░░░ was forced to delete all traces of her identity and went into hiding. > She later reemerged as Sombra, upgraded and determined to find out the truth behind the conspiracy she had uncovered.
no yeti slippers on aliexpress :(
I think OW uses Amazon Web Services for their servers. There is no infrastructure in Africa.
https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/global-infrastructure/
It's up to Amazon to develop servers in Africa in order for Blizzard to use them.
I'm talking about the nerf from earlier this year. It's not a recent change, that's why I said "still" in the title.
RIP old Hog. The one who could consistently oneshot full-health Symmetras.
on the wbsite it says
"But when he lost his right arm in the aftermath of the Omnic Crisis, it seemed his martial arts career was finished before he had reached his prime. His company's cybernetic prosthetics allowed him to recover from his injuries,"
hmm something is not adding up
Yo, some good practices for the future:
The most likely way a hack like this can happen (but definitely not the only way) is if you're reusing a password multiple places and one of those places gets hacked. You can enter an email address here to check if this has happened in a known major data hack: https://haveibeenpwned.com/
Now, if you're reusing passwords anywhere, stop. Get a password manager like Lastpass or 1password or Dashlane and use it to set up unique passwords for all your accounts. It can be hard to trust software like this (and Lastpass did recently have a fairly bad vulnerability fwiw [which is really only dangerous if you specifically are being targeted iirc], but I'm sticking with it because it's the only one with all the platform support I need), but it is totally worth it -- it should help protect against attacks like this.
Other ways this could've happened is you clicking on a phishing email or you typing in your password on a shared computer that had a keylogger. Among other things like your computer being infected with malware, but that was mentioned already.
Good luck!
Straight from the official lore on the website.
>As the youngest son of the master of the Shimada ninja clan, Genji lived a life of luxury and privilege. He had little interest in the family's illegal businesses, and although he excelled at and enjoyed his ninja training, he spent most of his time pursuing a playboy lifestyle. Many within the clan considered the carefree Genji to be a dangerous liability, and they resented his father for coddling and protecting him. Following the clan leader's untimely death, Genji's older brother, Hanzo, demanded that Genji take a more active role in their late father's empire. Genji refused, enraging Hanzo. The tension between the brothers built to a violent confrontation that left Genji on the verge of dying.
There's a good bit of backstory about all of the characters on there if you look through them.
> She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion.
The article about Oasis travel tips was also dated the real-world date that it came out, but the Oasis city doesn't exist in the present day.
The same is true for the Lúmerico article, and that's definitely not in the present day (https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/20353652)
"So I'm starting this journal. Honestly, I'm not sure who's going to want to read this. It was the idea of my colleague, Winston. He thinks that people will find my "unique" perspective interesting"
https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/19942649/
It seems that Mei still has a connection to Winston tough. So I guess she was recalled aswell and would join at some point but she seems to be too busy at the moment.
Widowmaker's character site (with lore if you select it)
Quote:
> Widowmaker is the perfect assassin: a patient, ruthlessly efficient killer who shows neither emotion nor remorse.
> It is believed that in her former life, Widowmaker was married to Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against the Talon terrorist organization.
> Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep.
> Her mission complete, Amélie returned to Talon, and they completed the process of turning her into a living weapon. She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion. Amélie was gone.
> Now, Widowmaker is Talon's most effective assassin, feeling little save the satisfaction of a job well done.
Where did this myth originated that they increase the money for duplicates? That has never been said. From the Patch Notes:
> We always want the experience of opening an in-game loot box to feel exciting and rewarding, and in our latest patch we’re working to improve that experience in two key ways. First, we’re drastically reducing the amount of duplicates players will receive when opening loot boxes. Second, to compensate for this reduction of duplicate items, we’re also increasing the overall amount of credits players will receive from loot boxes. On average, players should be earning just as many credits, if not slightly more, from loot boxes than they did prior to these changes.
Even Jeff doesn't phrase it that way in the Developer Update.
I think people missunderstand that instead of duplicates we will see credit drops more often which logicaly results in higher credit rewards.
Mei was stationed at the Overwatch Antartic research station. They were multiple research stations (Watchpoints), the most familiar one being Watchpoint Gibraltar.
Edit: Official source - Watchpoint: Antarctica
According to this blog post, Reaper got passed over for a promotion that Soldier 76 ended up getting, and it created tension between them, so you aren't far off.
1) Visit ANY profile page on playoverwatch.com. Example: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/career/pc/eu/Ratman-1307
2) Right click on the page and click "Inspect Element" (or go into your menu and open the developer options.)
3) Press Ctrl+F and type in "Vientos" and it will jump straight to the line: <!--Vientos, nada mal. No obstante, me aburro. Intentemos algo nuevo en la misma dirección. uczihriwgsxorxwunaarawryqhbrsfmeqrjjmu 5552E494 78T3 4VM9 OPL6 IS8208O913KRlrx-->
4) This roughly translates to: Winds (interpreted as "Good"), not bad. But I'm getting bored. Let's try something new in the same direction. followed by a new code for us to work on. Let's get to it!
Thanks! I made a team comp recommendation feature a while back, it uses that engine. Here's a link to play around with it and here's a reddit thread with some more info.
Sojourn is getting her own book written by Temi Oh
It's coming out this month, so perhaps we'll get a better look at Sojourn's personality. I know her in-game personality is basically a trope... but OW2 dropped the ball for hero personalities in-game. Mercy was stoic, rational and pragmatic in OW1. Now she's overly positive and has cheesy one-liners for murdering people. You can tell OW2 PvP lacks polish....
IDK why you're getting flack for your opinion, hopefully her book and PvE cutscenes bring richness to her character... I mean in that blizzonline presentation, we saw a clip of Sojourn giving Winston a very wholesome hug (her face omg 🥺)
For those who want to try organized competitive play, Open Division is for you, and registration is now live. Open Division will run in the same seven regions as Contenders: Australia, China, Europe, Korea, North America, the Pacific, and South America.
Registration is now live at the Overwatch Open Division hub!
Play begins in January.
No rank restrictions.
Six-week, Swiss-format season.
Top teams will be invited to Contenders Trials.
Bastion's Ironclad is nerfed in PTR. I'm sure he'll see substantially more play than before, but he's no longer the invincible robotic demigod we've come to know and fear in the last 48 hours.
It's heavily implied Vishkar are "evil", or at least they have sinister motives. Symmetra's comic expands on it a bit better, as well as Lucio's bio!
https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/news/22380666
Near the bottom of the announcement it has the streamers and when they're streaming.
There's a good 6 hours of streams a day and they're spread out widely across different times, so catching one or two for the 8 hours shouldn't be hard.
I can definitely speak for the efficiency of the program "f.lux"! I used to work on a computer all day long, and by the end of the ten hour shifts my head was absolutely killing me from the brightness. I found that by removing the blue light, it really helped reduce eye strain, subsequently making me feel more at ease during the day.
I have been using the program for years and I still turn it every day, almost always using it around dusk. I game on it as well. While the lowest setting, 'ember' (1200k), may be difficult to play Overwatch on, anything a tad higher would be fine. It's a really nice program and I have nothing but positive sentiments to report. I think that this would be a sufficient avenue to pursue to help minimize the symptoms that lead to OP's migraines.
Anyone interested can check out the website and download it here.
Yeah, I was wondering that. Those four feel like way too specific a choice of heroes to be a coincidence.
Though FYI, we already know what Mei did once she reached civilisation. She's now travelling around investigating the climate weirdness, writing a blog about it at Winston's recommendation. And by the first Christmas after the Recall (i.e. the "Reflections" comic), she'd become enough of a celebrity to be doing a TV interview about the weather.
Real Name: Fareeha Amari, Age: 32
Real Name: Angela Ziegler, Age: 37
So, since Uprising took place 7 years before the game, Mercy would have been 30 and Pharah would have been 25.
