Check the website view. Log data permission falls into 3 categories. The key sentence here is "Allows the app to view one or more of". We view one, which is your log data. That's just how it's written on the mobile GP store. As the app is still not stable we have to keep track of crashes.
What it says on the google play website: link
Google play website Modchat: link
Definition for what sensetive log data is: link
>Lets come to the reason for asking this permission, it will enable the developer to keep track of all the app messages which are printed in the log console, which is helpful to keep track of crash messages, currently running activities etc.
There's no hidden motives. I understand we live in a world where everyone is trying to get your private data, but we just don't care about any of that. We just want your crash data, if you're cool with that then try the app out.
Not sure why i got down voted for stating facts. But here's what I sent to /u/videoptional if you're still unsure.
