Sombra can see enemies, who are below 50 percent health, through walls.
Sombra’s fully-automatic machine pistol fires in a short-range spread.
Sombra hacks enemies to temporarily stop them from using their abilities, or hacks first aid kits to make them useless to her opponents.
Sombra becomes invisible for a short period of time, during which her speed is boosted considerably. Attacking, using offensive abilities, or taking damage disables her camouflage.
Sombra tosses out a translocator beacon. She can instantly return to the beacon’s location while it is active (including when it’s in mid-flight).
Sombra discharges electromagnetic energy in a wide radius, destroying enemy barriers and shields and hacking all opponents caught in the blast.

Changes are coming to PTR "very soon".
Edit: "very soon" apparently meant today! Reworked Symmetra is now on the PTR.
This is a great deal. Even a better deal because it's the origins edition.
If you're not sure about if you should buy Overwatch, the game will be free this weekend. It's a great chance for those in doubt to test it and see for yourself what the fuzz is all about.
Also keep in mind that any future content to be released, will remain free and there won't be any paid DLC's ever.

This guy is our captain... kill me please. It's so stupid how youtubers that have very few hours played are team's captain. I guess that my country is retarded when they have to vote, that's why they chose the current joke of a president.
That makes sense, but basing it strictly off McCree's backstory, there was no indication that he was given a second chance out of sympathy. [link]
Overwatch saw use in him as a member. When you think about how they saved Genji and gave McCree a chance, it's easy to think they just did it for goodness sake. But in both cases, they did it with the expectation that they would benefit Overwatch in some way (which they both did).
"Sombra is a stealthy offensive infiltrator who can hack enemy abilities, she can turn the tide of battle in subtle and not so subtle ways"
EDIT: Detailed info on Sombra's abilities, thank you /u/kittycatalyst!!!
> Her teleporter is her E. You toss it and have 15s to teleport to it. The tendrils is her right click and over time it will disable enemy abilities and hack health packs and turrets. Her Lshift is a temporary stealth and speed boost, she can also see through walls in that time. Her Q is an EMP blast that disables all enemy abilities for a short time in the blast radius. Her uzi gun does decent damage and feels squirrly to aim but that just be the mouses here being set to a higher dpi than I like
EDIT2: Sombra's official hero page on the Overwatch website!
damage beam is fucking terrible. It legitimately is. Blizzard themselves said that they want damage boost to be mercy's main source of damage as opposed to her pistol, when their own numbers showed that wasn't remotely true at all. They attempted to correct for this by heavily nerfing mercy's ult and buffing damage boost to compensate. They immediately reverted the boost buff and forgot to reconsider the other half of their rebalancing. The developers themselves WANT damage boost to be useful but THEY THEMSELVES know that pistol is far more used and far better. source: [link]
If you are behind a reinhardt shield, alongside several members of your team, its far better for you to use your pistol than it is to boost your mccree or 76.
times to use damage beam:
a) Use it for a split second when a roadhog hooks someone
b) When an ally is ulting
c) The DPS player is at full health, and shooting something that you yourself cannot shoot because you are behind cover.
in pretty much every single other circumstance where you would consider using damage boost, its better to use pistol instead. Not only because its higher damage, but because it charges your ult very quickly.
what bugs ME is when mercy + a DPS is attempting to kill some solo hero and all the mercy does is damage boost the dps when its almost always stronger to use pistol instead. A mercy using a pistol beside her dps is two heros. A mercy damage boosting her dps is 1.3 heros.
Exactly. Most people I know play on PTR now who were playing competitive S1 to practice up on the new meta, new season changes and new maps. I'm not sure how access is for that on PC Bangs in Korea but I imagine they would be really laggy playing on the PTR if its still only located in the US.
> Q. What regions are eligible to participate in the PTR?
> A. Accounts from all regions (excluding China) are eligible to participate; however, the PTR will be hosted on our Americas region. As a result, if you plan to play the PTR from a region outside the US, please anticipate lowered performance and increased latency.
His backstory has this in it.
>Survivors have described a black shadow ghosting unscathed through the most hellish battlefields. The few bodies recovered of those he kills are pale, empty husks drained of life, their cells showing signs of intense degradation. It is possible that he is a byproduct of failed genetic alteration which forces his cells to simultaneously decay and regenerate at a hyper-accelerated rate.
So yeah, Mercy probably did some medical stuff but messed up and now Reaper is in a constant state of decay and regeneration (old Trundle lore, anyone?) which would explain why he hates Overwatch
> ... an extremely popular FPS called Overwatch.
If you're even half serious about gaming, you either know what the heck Overwatch is, or you'll be one of today's lucky 10,000.

Junkrat's lore sets him up to potentially be the most important character out of the entire cast. His backstory is that he found some sort of "treasure" within the ruins of the Australian Omnium, the one that when destroyed turned the entire Outback into a Mad Max wasteland. It's never said what this secret is, just that it's huge. The entire reason he hires Roadhog is for protection because Junkrat is paranoid that people will come to steal his 'treasure'
That's why he reacts all sketchy when Hanzo asks him about it, because he's legit paranoid about people coming after him. His entire relationship with roadhog is based on this, as well, as Hog's just a hired merc who has to deal with this twitchy maniac's shit, while Junkrat like to think they're friends.
Again, whatever his 'treasure' is, we don't know. Given recent developments, I can't help but think it's tied to the Sombra conspiracy, but we'll just have to see. I wouldn't put it past Blizzard to put their endgame MacGuffin in the hands of the one character nobody would expect.
They're changing the mechanics of roadhog's hook, read about it here.
The joke is that after the change was announced, you'll see a significant amount of people on non-PTR nowadays saying stuff like "I can't wait for hook 2.0 (or 2.1)" whenever they get rekt via the hook, pretty much regardless of whether or not it was a clean hook or not.
In this case, hog landed a CLEAN hook on sombra, so it's a jab at those whiners :-)
Personally, I think people say it as an excuse for being out of position or not having the awareness...aside from the obvious through-the-wall/LOS etc hooks.

The game is Overwatch (/r/overwatch) which is a fairly recent hero-based team shooter from Blizzard. Not entirely unlike Team Fortress 2 but with more classes and less hats. The specific hero is Reaper
Swimmer is, uh, probably American?

Gameplay info about Sombra is out now too.
A stealth hero would be a interesting counter against Widowmaker, Torbjörn and Bastion. Certainly brings more dynamic to the table.
Edit: Sombra's habilities:
Looks like she can also counter Reinhardt and Winston.
You can buy it for $40. Only the "Origins Edition" is $60, which just gets you some extra skins and some other goodies for other Blizzard games.
Here's the US link for the $40 version.
On her hero page they talk about it a bit more:
> ...she was caught unprepared when she stumbled into the web of a global conspiracy—one that had also noticed her. With her security irreparably compromised, ░░░░░░ was forced to delete all traces of her identity and went into hiding.
> She later reemerged as Sombra, upgraded and determined to find out the truth behind the conspiracy she had uncovered.
>In Overwatch, whether your MMR goes up or down is contingent on winning or losing. But there are a number of factors that determine how much that rating goes up or down. For example, what map you’re playing on and whether you were attacking or defending is factored in. We know the win rates on attack/defend on all of the maps and we normalize accordingly. Not all wins and losses are equal. We also look at your individual performance on each of the heroes you played during the match. Everyone has better and worse heroes and we have tons of data showing us what performance levels should be like on those heroes. We also look at your opponents and whether or not their matchmaking rating is higher or lower than yours. These are just a few of the things that are considered when determining how your skill should go up or down.
per Jeff Kaplan
>Skill ratings will be visible at the beginning of every match. As you compete, your rating will increase or decrease with each win or loss based on a number of factors, including your own performance and the skill of the other players in the match.
per playoverwatch website
Is he really Maori? I don't think so, his bio states that he's from the outback. I think the Maori/Islander skin is just a skin, a lot of them just have no lore basis and are there just to look cool. totally fine.
Though, as an Egyptian, I do have to somewhat agree with the tumblr OP that it's a bit dumb; would have preferred some consistency and a neato Egyptian themed armor. At the same time, I care very little about these things, this skin looks awesome, and this will probably be the least racist way Native American stuff will get represented in OW. Will definitely try to get Thunderbird at some point (I love Pharah).
Are you actually serious? This is an exhibition tournament. There isn't even a prizepool, and half the players were chosen by fan votes. We knew from the very first announcement that this was for show, rather than being an actual competitive tournament with winnings.
If there was a prizepool at stake, I guarantee this situation never would have happened. But there's no money involved and clearly the spectacle was deemed more important.
Christ, some of you people here are acting like Blizzard is trying to matchfix.
"So I'm starting this journal. Honestly, I'm not sure who's going to want to read this. It was the idea of my colleague, Winston. He thinks that people will find my "unique" perspective interesting"
It seems that Mei still has a connection to Winston tough. So I guess she was recalled aswell and would join at some point but she seems to be too busy at the moment.
Is she? Whoa, I really thought she was like 14 or 15. She looks so young!
edit: You're right!
Come to think of it, it might not be a good idea to have a 15 yo girl repeatedly die in a game. Some people might take offense. It's cool with 19 though, those we can kill by the truckload.
Widowmaker's character site (with lore if you select it)
> Widowmaker is the perfect assassin: a patient, ruthlessly efficient killer who shows neither emotion nor remorse.
> It is believed that in her former life, Widowmaker was married to Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against the Talon terrorist organization. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon decided to change its focus to his wife, Amélie. Talon operatives kidnapped her and subjected her to an intense program of neural reconditioning. They broke her will, suppressed her personality, and reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. She was eventually found by Overwatch agents, apparently none the worse for wear, and returned to her normal life.
> Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep.
> Her mission complete, Amélie returned to Talon, and they completed the process of turning her into a living weapon. She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion. Amélie was gone.
> Now, Widowmaker is Talon's most effective assassin, feeling little save the satisfaction of a job well done.
Mei was stationed at the Overwatch Antartic research station. They were multiple research stations (Watchpoints), the most familiar one being Watchpoint Gibraltar.

>Once a frontline combatant in the devastating Omnic Crisis, this curious Bastion unit now explores the world, fascinated by nature but wary of a fearful humanity.
>Originally created for peacekeeping purposes, Bastion robot units possessed the unique ability to rapidly reconfigure themselves into an assault-cannon mode. But during the Omnic Crisis, they were turned against their human makers, forming the bulk of the omnics' rebel army. Following the resolution of the crisis, nearly all of them were destroyed or disassembled. To this day, Bastion units still symbolize the horrors of the conflict.
>One unique Bastion unit, severely damaged in the final battles of the war, was left forgotten for over a decade. It lay dormant, exposed to the elements and rusting while nature slowly reclaimed it. Overgrown with vines and roots and nested upon by small animals, the robot sat inert, seemingly unaware of the passing of time. That was until one fateful day, when it unexpectedly reactivated. With its combat programming all but lost, it instead displayed an intense curiosity about the natural world and its inhabitants. This inquisitive Bastion unit set out to explore its surroundings and discover its purpose on a war-ravaged planet.
>Though "Bastion" appears to be gentle—even harmless, at times—its core combat programming takes over when the unit senses danger, utilizing its entire arsenal to eliminate anything it perceives as a threat. This has led to instances of conflict with the few humans it has encountered, and has driven it to avoid populated areas in favor of the wild, uncharted regions of the world.
Omnium are factories or facilities that create omnics, originally intended for human benefit, not a substance like the suffix -ium led you to believe. The Omnic Crisis involved omniums and their omnics going rogue, attacking humanity. The language in Fading Glory has a paragraph about the origins of omniums.
Junkrat's story blurb explicitly says that omniums are powered by fusion; presumably humanity figured out nuclear fusion in the sci-fi future.
Sorry you ended up writing so much based on a misleading name.
It clearly says at the bottom:
"In the Closed Beta right now, Loot Boxes can only be earned by leveling up your account, though we also intend for players to be able to purchase them with real money once the game is live."
The silent treatment thing from valve is unacceptable. The same thing that happened to tf2 has also happened to CS:GO many times. I'm so sick of valve releasing seemingly untested updates without asking the community. Remember when the phlog was OP? The CS:GO revolver "Wild West"? Meanwhile, tf2's biggest competitor, Overwatch, is gearing up to release a large update and whats this!? A Public Testing Region!?! Full patch notes before release?!?!? Valve needs to take a page from Blizzard on how to release an update and communicate with it's players.

Lucio developed a new technology that lets him project his music to affect people around him. Kind of a wishy washy answer, but they kind of tried to explain it. Lucio and DVa are cited as a new generation of heroes who developed their own kits.

Mei is, in fact, an overwatch's exscientist BUT she has been refered to as one of the new heroes and not as an ex OW agent beacause she was never an agent she was a scientist and only started being heroic after she was defrosted.
I belive that only the new heroes and the ohmnics do not have a comic or animation related to them.
No. The 60 seconds was mentioned a week before Competitive Play went live on the official Overwatch site. It was the way it was meant to work. The devs did not drop all their plans to listen to some guy who posted two hours ago, that's not how this works.
Edit: Okay downvote me even though a release from two weeks ago says you are allowed 60 seconds. It's been a fucking bug like everything else this sub has complained about.
Usually, I talk about what I'm focusing on (phil of sci), but I also have a strong interest in ethics so I explain that too. Still, it seems like studying ethics doesn't really require much of an explanation. You ought to do what you ought to do. To do what you ought to do, you must know what you ought to do, so you ought to know what you ought to do. To know what you ought to do, you must study what you ought to do, so you ought to study what you ought to do.
So ethics. It seems tedious to lay it out like that, and I think it can throw one off when asked why they study ethics. It seems like it's a field everyone should take an interest in.
As for philosophy of science, I chose it because it's a branch of philosophy of topics that I hope to make central themes to the films I make. I don't really feel that science is a big enough theme in our culture. There's something we call science in films that becomes a big theme, but it's not really science. Remember when Blizzard gave us this gem?
> he was taken under the wing of Dr. Harold Winston, who taught him science
We have this fetishization of technology and cleverness (watch me grow poop plants on Mars!), but science is never explored. The only film I can think of that comes close to what I would want is arguably Primer.
Certainly, I find pretty much every field in philosophy to be extremely important and interesting, but with the plans I have for my life in particular, phil of sci is going to be the most instrumental.
edit: poop pants to poop plants, latter is Matt Damon, former is me irl

Actually, the in-lore news article from Olympia implies the museum heist happened after Mondatta's assassination. It refers to the heist as happening on Monday, and you only use that way of talking about a day if it was as recent as the last Monday, and then in the same section she mentions the assassination as one of the troubling recent events, implying it happened anywhere from a few weeks to months ago.
Furthermore, there's really nothing stopping Tracer from having met Widowmaker before any of the trailers, maybe even during the days Overwatch was still around. We don't have a timeframe for when Gerard was killed and Widowmaker brainwashed, and Overwatch was around for decades.
Edit: Actually, at the very end of the article she mentions the heist happened yesterday. So the assassination definitely comes before the heist.
>Real Name: Mei-Ling Zhou
>Base of Operations: Xi'an, China (Formerly)
No obvious 100% certain proof, but it's pretty likely.
This is an interesting idea, but Blizzard refers to Bastion as "it."
Bastion units were created during the Omnic Crisis, so the unit has no gender.

Just going to add my 2 cents here. In this article it states that their were 6 founding Overwatch operatives, I purpose that Sombra is not Pharrah's mother but this Liao. In this light I would suggest that the file in Temple of anubus showing what we presumed to the the top half of Sombra is actually pharrah's mother and not sombra.
I mean, do you not see how that could be easily flipped the other way, too? The two links you provided are just the names of the abilities, the other details provided aren't "Blizzard official". The only reason it'd be the way you said is because you chose one over the other, and that's the way that site decided to express them.
If you check the hero information on Blizzard's site, the exact opposite of what you described is written.
Lucio's Sound Barrier: Protective waves radiate out from Lúcio’s Sonic Amplifier, briefly providing him and nearby allies with personal shields.
Reinhardt's Barrier Field: Reinhardt projects a broad, forward-facing energy barrier, which can absorb substantial damage before it is destroyed. Though Reinhardt can protect himself and his companions behind the barrier, he cannot attack while sustaining it.
You get an exclusive skin for Bastion, Reaper, Tracer, Soldier 76, and Pharah along with some Overwatch-related cross-over content for Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft, Heathstone, Diablo 3, and StarCraft 2.
You can get more info on this here:
Her Hero page is up and running showcasing her abilities [link]
Seems her ult is an EMP that: stops ults, shuts down barriers and switches off turrets. A push killer or enabler.
>New Assault/Escort Map: Eichenwalde
>The forest has slowly begun overtaking the abandoned village of Eichenwalde, but the scars will never completely fade. During the Omnic Crisis, Eichenwalde was the site of a key battle. General Balderich von Adler took a handful of crusaders to the village in an effort to outflank the omnic army. Balderich's soldiers were able to break down the enemy forces, giving the German military an opportunity to push back, but the Crusaders didn't make it out of the battle. General Balderich finally collapsed in the castle's great hall.
I presume the 11 crate KR region "promotion" to which they are referring is this "THANK YOU - SERVER STATUS UPDATE by Blizzard Entertainment 09/23/2016"
Terrible Google Translation:
>We would like to thank you again for your patience and support, will be distributed to all 11 trophy in Taiwan time September 9 to September 23 before 11 o'clock to sign the "Overwatch" of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao player account. You should be able to see more than a trophy in the account within a week.
Her official lore exclusively uses the singular when referencing the ~~kaiju~~ omnic, and also says "Each incident ended in a stalemate, with the monstrosity defeated but not destroyed." It's probably similar to the Titan omnic from Torbjorn's comic.
I dunno, if you watch the ability preview she sort of has to get close and channel hack for a second [link]
I don't see tracer or genji staying still long enough for that to happen. Ult seems crazy for sure though
The actual page is still live, here.
As of this moment it reads:
A random selection of customization options come packaged in Loot Boxes—you’ll unlock one box every time you level up, and can purchase more in the in-game Shop. Loot Boxes have a chance to contain credits you can use to acquire any specific cosmetics you want. You’ll also receive a new Portrait Frame every 10 levels (until you’ve earned them all)
To mean, that reads as coins give you access to buy according to your specific choice. It's not saying that you can only buy specific things.
> I would like to see more points awarded for stellar performances and wins, or derankings for poor performances and loss.
This is actually already implemented in the game:
> As you compete, your rating will increase or decrease with each win or loss based on a number of factors, including your own performance and the skill of the other players in the match.
However, some players (myself included) would actually prefer that performance within the match be excluded from the post-game calculation. This is because the current system incentives behavior other than simply winning.
For example, there's a highly-ranked Torbjorn who is sometimes talked about here on Reddit, who apparently isn't terribly good but whose turrets allow him to participate in a great many eliminations. Because of that, his rank adjusts upward more than his teammates feel his participation merited.
In another example: in some unbalanced KOTH matches, the winning team will farm the losing team near the spawn point. If you're on the winning team and stay near the capture point to ensure that flanking characters don't get any surprise captures, you're directly helping your team win but will receive a smaller rank boost than your teammates who are padding their eliminations.
Those of us in that chat right now are mildly interested in this transition. It plays when you watch the skill previews for heroes in game and on the [link]
Initially it was thought to be unique to Ana, but I debunked that and it is known to be present on seemingly all the characters. It might not be relevant, but we are trying to find out if it was present on the site before Ana was announced.
Just to be clear, we are pretty sure it isn't meaningful. But if it is something that was added it could still hold value.
The attackers are delivering the key component that activates the power plant and with it the entire power network.
-Multiple newspapers in Dorado talk about how Lumerico will be activating the power plant Mañana (tomorrow). The Atlas news blog post also talks about it: [link]
-In the last defender spawn in the power plant there is a huge screen that illustrates how the power plant is activated with a device that looks pretty much identical to the payload device
That being the case, here is what I think is most interesting. As we all know, Soldier 76 is in Dorado investigating Lumerico, and apparently in his free time is also putting the smackdown on Los Muertos in the area. However, the payload truck that is delivering Lumerico its key component is the Los Muertos truck from the short. Even the license plate matches: LIL-03-89. Furthermore, the Los Muertos gang is using the pinatas from the festival for smuggling guns (and who knows what else), so we know it is in a very close time frame to the actions of the payload mission. Sorry I don't have any pictures for this stuff, I'm an Xbox user. But I do encourage you to verify it all for yourself, should be pretty easy in a custom match!
On an unrelated note, something I found interesting but is most likely of no significance: in the Overwatch theatrical trailer, Soldier 76 is shown putting the smackdown on some bank robbers in what is obviously the Dorado bank. Not sure if this is significant or just a retcon, but as we know all evidence points to Junkrat and Roadhog being the actual culprits in the heist. Food for thought...
Yes, but he could have done it. It's always easier to kill than to subdue, especially against someone actively trying to kill you.
In the video his targeting visor was targeting their attacker's weapons, and the blast was never seen directly affecting the shooter. There has been no actual instance of S76 actually killing them.
Huh, didn't notice that about the voice lines. Here shows that he still wants 'justice' as he is looking for those that caused Overwatch to fall, implying that he still favored it.
Lucio was born and raised in the favela's. When the Vishkar Corporation decided to rebuild the city Lucio and his people were told it would help them, too. Instead, Vishkar enforced greater restrictions like curfews and used the populace as cheap labour.
Lucio is essentially a revolutionary. He wants freedom from the oppressors, who he believes is Vishkar. The gun he uses was a supressor used against him and his people which he stole to use against Vishkar instead.
What we don't know is if there's a direct connection between Lucio and Symmetra, but they don't get along too well simply because of ideological differences.
From my perspective Lucio and Symmetra are the "grey" characters. Lucio is idealistic, Symmetra is pragmatic. They both think what they're doing is right for themselves and the world at large. The problem with Symmetra is she is being led by a company that may not be so sincere.
She's actually from Siberia.
>Aleksandra Zaryanova is one of the world's strongest women, a celebrated athlete who sacrificed personal glory to protect her family, friends, and country in a time of war.
>Aleksandra was born in a remote Siberian village that was on the front lines of the Omnic Crisis, which began some thirty years ago.
All the other characters have normal coloured skin. Anyway, it's seriously the in-universe explanation. From her Hero page: "She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion. Amélie was gone."
on the overwatch website there is an achievement that is just a question mark and the description is just "..."
I don't know if that has been there for a while but it seems interesting
I think D.Va's short will be very cool. There's a lot they can do with her backstory. And imagine all the colors and flashy lights and tech that goes beep-boop.
You go here: [link]
Choose a hero and then Story above the describtion.
EDIT: This is a simple piece of information. No oppinion, nothing. How can someone disagree with or dislike this? -___-
It's a bit hidden. Go here: [link]
Then at the top, select just Overwatch^^^TM instead of the Origins Edition. $40 instead of $60. You lose out on some skins and other digital goods for other games.
Out of those things that you mentioned, only Reaper's name being Gabriel is canon. Ana even calls him Gabriel in one of her in-game interactions, the rest is made up by the community or just speculation.
You can find the lore at [link] and [link]
Doomfist is someone who held the gauntlet you escort in Numbani, that gauntlet can be seen in one of the animated shorts (the very 1st one), Doomfist is not a person, but a "title", there were many people that were the Doomfist, 3 of which can been seen inside the last defending spawn in Numbani.
The fans speculate Doomfist will be the next Overwatch hero, hence why you may hear about him often nowadays.
If you look at someones career profile, such as mine, everyone has a weird question mark achievement, which if you find in the pages source has the message

I know! I can actually learn non-Support heroes and it's great.
I mean seriously, at this point I've gotten 10 times more Lúcio playtime than I have any other hero. I know I enjoy playing as Lúcio at lot, but.. it's a little ridiculous.
Apparently XBox One as well; just FYI:
>If you haven't had a chance to join the fight for the future yet on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, then get ready for the perfect tactical opportunity. Assemble your friends and try out Blizzard’s team-based shooter during the Overwatch Free Weekend September 9–12!
>For this free weekend, we're making Overwatch's full roster of 22 heroes and 13 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the latest Weekly Brawl. You'll also be able to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock different customization options via the Hero Gallery. If you like what you see and decide to buy Overwatch: Origins Edition, you'll also get to keep whatever progress you made during the weekend. (Wicked!)
> but threatening to take legal action against a company and smear their name across the internet because of this is something else entirely
And ok, because they performed false advertising
Actually, my guess is that it's in Asia. Overwatch had watchpoints all over the world, and pretty much all of them are abandoned.
A couple of things to back up my theory:
1) There's a locker in the gym that clearly belongs to Winston; it has copies of the photographs from Recall (specifically the ones with him and Dr. Winston and Tracer) and peanut butter jars on top. Nothing so far suggests that Winston was ever stationed at Antartica.
2) Mei's Adventure Journal suggests that she's doing solo research in abandoned watchpoints across the world; in the journal she's heading to one in Asia after making a layover in Los Angeles. When she arrives in the mountain range, she attaches a picture of the view which is a photo of a mountain range that's very similar to the distant mountains in the training range, as well as the mountains in Nepal.
Jesus Christ. Here's the official blizzard post. Idk why you're arguing.
"The collection will be dashing back to the vault on January 2nd, however....."
Although there are some side activities, Quick Play is your main game mode. The game mode itself will depend on what map is chosen for you (randomly) but no, there is no capture the flag. Go here: [link] and scroll to the map portion. There are some arcade modes they have added at it's own map, like 3v3. You can also practice vs AI or on a range. Every week they also add a weekly brawl with it's own characteristics. Having said that, I suspect you will spend most of your time in Quick Play.
Competitive mode is essentially where you go if you want to take things a bit more serious. Each season you will have to play 10 placement matches that will determine your starting rank. As you play, your rank is adjusted depending on your performance. Matches are longer, usually with both sides having a chance on offence and defense, the winner being the team that was able to push further on attack. Obviously, there are a lot more details to it, I would read up on it here: [link]
Similar to TFC, Overwatch is truly a TEAM game. The most important elements are team composition and team play.
The best way you can contribute to your team's composition is to get to know different characters of different class. This allows your to be flexible about who you choose. Never stop learning new characters. The range is good for this initially. Then you need to ensure your charachter pick fits in with the team's composition. This is a bit harder and depends on many things but this will come with experience.
Team play is all about coordinating with your teammates, which again has a lot to do with understanding the different characters and their abilities. Know what your team is doing, what you can help with and what you have to do to allow them to help you. Try not to get lost on your own side battles unless you are very conscious of what you are doing.
I was bored so I doodled some of our pokemon as Overwatch characters on my phone. They are:
• Feereon as Widowmaker
• Hackercat as D.Va
• Helix as Zenyatta
• M4 as Zarya (that gun D:)
• Lamp as McCree
• Lazor Gator as 76 (there’s like no difference)
Shout out to u/CanisAries because I used her guide to draw helix
Btw if you want to try out Overwatch they’re letting people play it for free next weekend
> Nope, it's a projectile with an actual volume that will only teleport you when it's resting on a walk-able surface with enough space to fit a player.
Except, you're wrong:
Sombra tosses out a translocator beacon. She can instantly return to the beacon’s location while it is active (including when it’s in mid-flight). From Blizzard's Sombra Description
Video game: Soldier 76's weapon from the game Overwatch
Go to Bastion's page on the Overwatch website. When you change to the E ability video the screen has a hacking effect at the start!
Here is the Page!
Edit: This isn't a new thing unfortunately. I looked at the page's history and It was there months ago. :(

^(Beep boop. I do what I must.)
99% of players don't care, the 1% who need to be vocal about it will be. You can just mute them and report fairly easily.
You can buy the normal version of Overwatch^^TM for $39.99 but you won't get the skins for buying the Origins Edition that's $60.
You usually join or create a team and start participating in smaller tournaments until you are good enough to compete with the big teams.
A lot of orgs also recruit top players from similar games like tf2 for example.
Some very exceptional players get directly recruited by big orgs because of their performance in pups. They usually manage to impress a member of that team during ranked games. This is really uncommon though.
This specific tournament is a bit different though. Overwatch players from each country were able to vote for 4 players out of a pool of streamers and professional / high ranked players. The player that got the most votes was then allowed to choose 2 additional players.
1) Exclusive skins for 5 heroes (specifically Tracer, Pharah, Soldier 76, Reaper and Bastion) and some bonus content for other Blizzard games. You can read more here.
2) Flank. Specifically, use it in a way that the enemy doesn't expect it or see it coming. When you're using it you're glowing bright red; everybody will either target you or run for cover, so don't just run in there and pop it, specially if your team isn't nearby. Instead try to sneak around, preferably to a place where you can get a nice view, to catch them off-guard so they don't have time to react and run/defend themselves. It specially helps if you can use it when you encounter a big fight where they're busy fighting your teammates, but expect them to pop their Lucio ult to survive or a offensive ult to kill you. Just don't worry if you screw up a bit; as long as you can get one of them or at least deal some decent damage you will be tipping the game in your team's favor.
It actually makes sense to be able to pass right through it. D.Va would start the boost making her accelerate, then get near the gravitational surge which would make her even faster by pulling her in. The gravitational surge would only slow her down after she passes the middle of the surge, but at this point she should be going fast enough (from the boost+the surge) to escape the surge all together.
The only way to escape Zarya's ult that doesn't make sense is Reaper becoming intangible; gravity should effect everything (for example: light) so Reaper shouldn't be excused
EDIT: I'm not saying that reaper turns into light, I'm just saying that everything is effected by gravity, even light. Reaper seems to turn into a gas meaning he should maintain the same overall weight, and should still be pulled just as much in is wraith form as normal.
You can find it through the site here.
Blizzard has been doing it with the recent Legion comics, but this is the first of the Overwatch comics that have this included.
He's right it happened the week the game launch
It says the museum heist took place on Monday, the Game launched on the 24th and this article was written on the 5/27/2016
On the games website, in his official story. Several times.
Also, it does heavily imply that he's intelligent. "With its combat programming all but lost, it instead displayed an intense curiosity about the natural world and its inhabitants. This inquisitive Bastion unit set out to explore its surroundings and discover its purpose on a war-ravaged planet." Non intelligent machines don't just decide to explore the world, and don't think about their purpose. It's kind of ridiculous that you can say he isn't intelligent when he clearly is.
Couldn't agree more. Except for this:
>Plus it feels like cheating on DE with a big, uptown rich guy. That's fun.
Feel more like I'm cheating on Mesa with a Chippy, cute as hell Brit. In a non-perverse way.
just to spread the word, if youre buying overwatch on PC if you search "overwatch preorder pc" on google and click the first link it'll bring you to here: [link]. Make sure you click on the tab to the left which is the OVERWATCHTM logo to just order the version without any extra skins or things for other blizzard games to make the price of the game $40 instead of $60
the reason im spreading this around is the 40 dollar version theyre selling is a bit hidden, so i might as well save some people some cash. but for consoles you have no choice as far as im aware its all 60 dollars
Honestly though, Overwatch has a loose enough story to show parts that aren't described/in the comics/in the animated shorts. There are many different perspectives they could make a movie with. On the website, for example, the pages on Hanzo and Genji seem to contradict each other.
On Hanzo's page it says that he was forced to kill Genji, while on Genji's page it says that Hanzo nearly killed Genji in a fit of rage.
Low effort.. anyone?
> We’re also implementing skill rating decay. Now, players with a skill rating above 3000 will need to stay active in order to maintain their status. If they aren’t able to complete at least one competitive match every 7 days, they will lose 50 points from their skill rating for every 24 hours they’re out of the action. The decline will stop once the player completes a competitive match, and their skill rating won’t drop below 3000.
