Oh shit dis girl gonna hit us up with a new robot/drone hero I'm like 99% sure
Edit: Several people are telling me that the article being posted in 2017 means that Efi is going to be 70+ years ingame. The Lumerico scandal articles and the Lucio teaser article were also written in present tense by "Afus news staff", show post dates of 2016 and 2015, and Sombra and Lucio for sure aren't 70+ years old. The post dates does not matter for the in game timeline.
Edit2: The above edit was confirmed by Lead Writer Michael Chu. Efi is 11 in game.
Official gameplay video of her skills: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcrPuSRYA4U
Official skills page: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/sombra/
OPPORTUNIST (Passive):
Sombra can see enemies, who are below 50 percent health, through walls.
MACHINE PISTOL:
Sombra’s fully-automatic machine pistol fires in a short-range spread.
HACK:
Sombra hacks enemies to temporarily stop them from using their abilities, or hacks first aid kits to make them useless to her opponents.
THERMOPTIC CAMO:
Sombra becomes invisible for a short period of time, during which her speed is boosted considerably. Attacking, using offensive abilities, or taking damage disables her camouflage.
TRANSLOCATOR:
Sombra tosses out a translocator beacon. She can instantly return to the beacon’s location while it is active (including when it’s in mid-flight).
EMP (Ultimate):
Sombra discharges electromagnetic energy in a wide radius, destroying enemy barriers and shields and hacking all opponents caught in the blast.
She's a tank
Main fire: Projectile machine gun with long range
Alt fire: Sends out a pulse that can be reactivated for a mini-graviton surge that pulls in for a brief moment
Fortify: Immune to crowd control and 'tougher'. Examples are concussive blast. Active ability with an unspecified uptime.
Protective Barrier: Sends out a barrier half the size of Winston's bubble where she aims that works like all the other barriers.
Ultimate: Throws a device onto the ground that supercharges any ally in LoS, think Lucio, increasing damage. It can be killed by enemies.
Here's a picture of her official page on the Overwatch website for those who are at work.

I was banned for Symmetra one-tricking like a month ago. I always tried my best and peaked top 400 just before the ban. Here's what I was told:
>As we discussed, in this game it is very important to play as a team and communicate with others regarding the heroes picks as well. Our developers are aware of some of the heroes being less popular than others, and some even considered as you say as "troll" by others. But believe me they do their best to balance the game and make each of the hero unique and worth the play. Sometimes the team consistency may not be ideal for the certain hero and you will just need to swap to some other hero to complete the group to be able to perform as best as the group can. While sometimes your pick will be just perfect for the set up. Please feel free to raise this matter on the Overwatch forums, which are being monitored by the game developers themselves: https://playoverwatch.com/en-gb/community/

Junkrat
Concussion Mine
Junkrat can now hold two mines
RIP-Tire
Tire’s movement speed has been increased by 30%
There is no longer a time limit when wall climbing
You get a report system with it :)
Edit: ... probably. Edit 2: Yep! https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/game/patch-notes/ps4 ---> General ---> Player reporting has been enabled (Both, for PS4 and XBOX)
It's a new map for the new Deathmatch game mode, currently on PTR. The map's called "Château Guillard" and it's basically Widowmaker's family estate.

Changes are coming to PTR "very soon".
Edit: "very soon" apparently meant today! Reworked Symmetra is now on the PTR.
This is a great deal. Even a better deal because it's the origins edition.
If you're not sure about if you should buy Overwatch, the game will be free this weekend. It's a great chance for those in doubt to test it and see for yourself what the fuzz is all about.
Also keep in mind that any future content to be released, will remain free and there won't be any paid DLC's ever.

Honestly, I totally feel like we're getting a South Korea map eventually. Namely, Busan.
D.Va's from Busan, and we know that in the lore, the coastal area of South Korea has had some wild things happen to it. A colossal omnic monstrosity caused 'catastrophic damage' 20 years ago, and the monstrosity constantly rose up over the years attacking South Korea and neighboring areas. I'm willing to bet Busan is one the cities that's been messed with, since it's on the coast.
That's fucking wild, though. A massive mysterious robot that destroys cities? And they haven't even found a way to properly deal with it yet?
And besides that little bit of lore right there, we know next to nothing about what's going on in South Korea. D.Va's got her Police skin which is representative of a police officer from Busan, too.
I just feel like there's a lot relating to that one place, and with not much information on the area, a map would be an ideal way to give us more information on it.
Have a look at the Overwatch patch notes any time they balance a hero. Developer commentary immediately follows the change:
> Ana
> Biotic Rifle
> Damage increased from 60 to 70
> Developer Comments: Ana has been outshined by other support heroes lately. Boosting her damage will help her defend herself and make her more threatening to the enemy team.
10 damage. Such a tiny change, but developer commentary is included in it anyway. I hope Bungie follows suit, eventually.
Well, that's pretty much what happened on the Moon.
> But [Winston's] life was thrown into chaos when the other gorillas led an uprising, killed the mission scientists, and claimed the [lunar] colony for their own. Taking on the name of his beloved human caretaker, Winston built a makeshift rocket and escaped to Earth. There he found a new home with Overwatch, an organization that represented everything he had come to admire about humanity.
This guy is our captain... kill me please. It's so stupid how youtubers that have very few hours played are team's captain. I guess that my country is retarded when they have to vote, that's why they chose the current joke of a president.
That makes sense, but basing it strictly off McCree's backstory, there was no indication that he was given a second chance out of sympathy. https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/mccree/ Overwatch saw use in him as a member. When you think about how they saved Genji and gave McCree a chance, it's easy to think they just did it for goodness sake. But in both cases, they did it with the expectation that they would benefit Overwatch in some way (which they both did).
>And a lot of our fans have assumed "oh, that's why Reyes and Morrison hate each other"
I'm gonna nitpick semantics, but this isn't correct. The fanbase was deliberately led to believe that with the material we have so far.
Quote from <em>Fading Glory: On the Trail of Jack Morrison</em> > The UN rewarded Morrison for his contributions by making him Overwatch's first official commander. Reyes was passed over in the process, and it created a rift between the two men that would lead to tragic consequences.
It's not like anyone could have guessed otherwise when it is spelled like that.
The question now is, why the fictional author of the article painted the situation like that? Is that the official version of the facts given by the UN or whatever higher-ups? Bloody convenient to make it look like jealousy and infighting between two (believed) dead.
Overbuff dosent need a update, it's the blizzard that needs to release an accurate API over match history so that websites like Overbuff can relay the information. Right now it just relays info from https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/career/pc/eu/<battletag> to the best of it's knowledge.
I asked Bill Warnecke about this the other day, and he responded that unfortunately the guys who would normally have implemented this; have been dead busy (obviously) implementing the support for the OWL Web app.
"Sombra is a stealthy offensive infiltrator who can hack enemy abilities, she can turn the tide of battle in subtle and not so subtle ways"
EDIT: Detailed info on Sombra's abilities, thank you /u/kittycatalyst!!!
> Her teleporter is her E. You toss it and have 15s to teleport to it. The tendrils is her right click and over time it will disable enemy abilities and hack health packs and turrets. Her Lshift is a temporary stealth and speed boost, she can also see through walls in that time. Her Q is an EMP blast that disables all enemy abilities for a short time in the blast radius. Her uzi gun does decent damage and feels squirrly to aim but that just be the mouses here being set to a higher dpi than I like
EDIT2: Sombra's official hero page on the Overwatch website!
damage beam is fucking terrible. It legitimately is. Blizzard themselves said that they want damage boost to be mercy's main source of damage as opposed to her pistol, when their own numbers showed that wasn't remotely true at all. They attempted to correct for this by heavily nerfing mercy's ult and buffing damage boost to compensate. They immediately reverted the boost buff and forgot to reconsider the other half of their rebalancing. The developers themselves WANT damage boost to be useful but THEY THEMSELVES know that pistol is far more used and far better. source: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/20178523
If you are behind a reinhardt shield, alongside several members of your team, its far better for you to use your pistol than it is to boost your mccree or 76.
times to use damage beam:
a) Use it for a split second when a roadhog hooks someone
b) When an ally is ulting
c) The DPS player is at full health, and shooting something that you yourself cannot shoot because you are behind cover.
in pretty much every single other circumstance where you would consider using damage boost, its better to use pistol instead. Not only because its higher damage, but because it charges your ult very quickly.
what bugs ME is when mercy + a DPS is attempting to kill some solo hero and all the mercy does is damage boost the dps when its almost always stronger to use pistol instead. A mercy using a pistol beside her dps is two heros. A mercy damage boosting her dps is 1.3 heros.
Exactly. Most people I know play on PTR now who were playing competitive S1 to practice up on the new meta, new season changes and new maps. I'm not sure how access is for that on PC Bangs in Korea but I imagine they would be really laggy playing on the PTR if its still only located in the US.
https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/20243886#participate
> Q. What regions are eligible to participate in the PTR? > A. Accounts from all regions (excluding China) are eligible to participate; however, the PTR will be hosted on our Americas region. As a result, if you plan to play the PTR from a region outside the US, please anticipate lowered performance and increased latency.
Fwiw, they deliberately made a separate "Legendary Skins" section under the global "New Skins" section on their https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/21353116 page.
So yeah, not that it's a guarantee, but this at least hints that there may be new epic skins.

It's quite funny isn't it, imagine if you didn't know overwatch and heard of this lucio musician, literally the first link is a "news article" saying
> "Lúcio, an acclaimed musical artist who's built his career doing live shows, has already become something of a national icon in his home country of Brazil. Now he's poised to win an international following with his Synaesthesia world tour.
> "My heart beats for Brazil," Lúcio told Atlas News. "I get inspired by the people here. Their struggles. Their triumphs. I want to share that energy—the energy of their lives—with the rest of the world."
You'd think he was a real person since people wouldn't be particularly knowledgable about the brazillian music scene
I would recommend watching all the videos for the heroes on Overwatches offical page here: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/
Afterwards, try them out in-game.

I'm surprised with no teasers either from official social media channels.
Based on all the other event webpages, this URL will show you all the new skins, emotes, and highlight intros once they actually publish the content to their site, right now it will just lead to a broken URL:
His backstory has this in it.
>Survivors have described a black shadow ghosting unscathed through the most hellish battlefields. The few bodies recovered of those he kills are pale, empty husks drained of life, their cells showing signs of intense degradation. It is possible that he is a byproduct of failed genetic alteration which forces his cells to simultaneously decay and regenerate at a hyper-accelerated rate.
So yeah, Mercy probably did some medical stuff but messed up and now Reaper is in a constant state of decay and regeneration (old Trundle lore, anyone?) which would explain why he hates Overwatch
BUG FIXES
General
Fixed a bug that caused some players to lose audio during the match Fixed a bug causing the vacuum-of-space sound effects from the Horizon Lunar Colony menu screen to persist even after selecting a new menu area Heroes
Fixed a bug that prevented Pharah’s “I am the rocket queen” voice line from playing correctly Fixed a bug that allowed Orisa’s ultimate to charge while her Supercharger was deployed
NO DOOMFIST! damn https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/game/patch-notes/ps4#patch-37890
Check out his actual bio in the story tab. In short, he was a martial artist that competed frequently, but he lost his arm in the omnic crisis. He had cybernetic prosthetics, but he was ineligible to compete in tournaments. Talon gave him a place to fight and he adopted his beliefs from the previous Doomfist. He wasn't interested in joining Overwatch.
> ... an extremely popular FPS called Overwatch.
If you're even half serious about gaming, you either know what the heck Overwatch is, or you'll be one of today's lucky 10,000.
There are a few ways that you can achieve this usually.
1) Scrape the data. You can write python code for example that will request a website (just like you when you go to www.google.com) and it will read the raw HTML. It will 'scape' for keywords, or for whatever it is that you're searching for and have specified in your code.
2) Using an API. Some companies or platforms have an API set up so that developers can request to use data that they store on their servers (but only the data that the company or platform specifies, not just any data). Here is an example of a movie database API that you can use to serve up data & metrics about movies. https://www.omdbapi.com/
The overwatch website specifically scrapes data form https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/ and serves it up so that anyone can just search it.
Plus 9 new CTF maps and the ability to filter/search for custom games! I wonder if the CTF maps are the same maps as the KOTH maps.

HERO UPDATES
Lúcio
Sonic Amplifier
Projectile speed increased from 40 to 50
Alternate fire now considers vertical orientation when knocking targets back
Crossfade
Song's area-of-effect radius decreased from 30 meters to 10 meters
A temporary in-game visual has been added to illustrate this radius (it is only visible to Lúcio and his teammates)
Heal Song
Healing-per-second has been increased by 50% (also applies to Lúcio's Amp It Up ability)
Sound Barrier
Radius decreased from 30 meters to 20 meters
Wall Ride
Movement speed increased by 30% when wall riding
Lúcio now receives a burst of speed when leaping off a wall
Developer Comments: Lucio has often felt like a must-pick due to his raw healing output and the versatility of providing a speed bonus to your entire team. The goal of these changes is to keep those elements feeling strong, but making them harder to apply to everyone on your team at all times. The end result is that he should feel stronger with teams that he can stay close to but not as strong when on teams with heroes that are often spread out (such as Pharah, Widow, Genji, etc). Much of Lucio’s character power was tied up in his large passive auras, which caused other elements of his kit to be weakened over time in an attempt to balance him. Now that his auras are more focused it will allow them to be much stronger and allow Lucio to be more active in his role.
You can skip 1 and 2 by going to https://playoverwatch.com
Has it always been like that? I know you're right. I've seen it demonstrated, but.... good news!!!
The current PTR test version patch notes include:
"Fixed a bug that allowed enemy players to detect Sombra (while Stealth was active) if they were within a certain distance"
I never thought it was a bug, but... maybe?
A similar thing happened in Croatia - sprEEEzy, #1 ranked player in our region, TOP10 EU at one point - got declined, while random rank 60 players are on the voting list. WTF Blizzard

Edit: here is the link to the site
Junkrat's lore sets him up to potentially be the most important character out of the entire cast. His backstory is that he found some sort of "treasure" within the ruins of the Australian Omnium, the one that when destroyed turned the entire Outback into a Mad Max wasteland. It's never said what this secret is, just that it's huge. The entire reason he hires Roadhog is for protection because Junkrat is paranoid that people will come to steal his 'treasure'
That's why he reacts all sketchy when Hanzo asks him about it, because he's legit paranoid about people coming after him. His entire relationship with roadhog is based on this, as well, as Hog's just a hired merc who has to deal with this twitchy maniac's shit, while Junkrat like to think they're friends.
Again, whatever his 'treasure' is, we don't know. Given recent developments, I can't help but think it's tied to the Sombra conspiracy, but we'll just have to see. I wouldn't put it past Blizzard to put their endgame MacGuffin in the hands of the one character nobody would expect.
They're changing the mechanics of roadhog's hook, read about it here.
The joke is that after the change was announced, you'll see a significant amount of people on non-PTR nowadays saying stuff like "I can't wait for hook 2.0 (or 2.1)" whenever they get rekt via the hook, pretty much regardless of whether or not it was a clean hook or not.
In this case, hog landed a CLEAN hook on sombra, so it's a jab at those whiners :-)
Personally, I think people say it as an excuse for being out of position or not having the awareness...aside from the obvious through-the-wall/LOS etc hooks.
It's written in her bio that she's believed to be.
The swimmer or the game reference?
The game is Overwatch (/r/overwatch) which is a fairly recent hero-based team shooter from Blizzard. Not entirely unlike Team Fortress 2 but with more classes and less hats. The specific hero is Reaper
Swimmer is, uh, probably American?
Edit: For the sake of those who don't want to scroll down to the million+ replies to me saying Michael Phelps, it is apparently Michael Phelps.

(a bit of a typo on their page lol but you get the idea)
... So the only change to competitive is to hide sub-500 skill ratings?
I don't know.. I expected a little bit more. Oh well, time to warm up my gatling gun!
edit: obviously I wrote this before Blizzard posted this blog, but for the most part the sentiment holds true.
Gameplay info about Sombra is out now too.
https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/sombra/
Sombra’s fully-automatic machine pistol fires in a short-range spread.
Sombra hacks enemies to temporarily stop them from using their abilities, or hacks first aid kits to make them useless to her opponents.
Sombra becomes invisible for a short period of time, during which her speed is boosted considerably. Attacking, using offensive abilities, or taking damage disables her camouflage.
Sombra tosses out a translocator beacon. She can instantly return to the beacon’s location while it is active (including when it’s in mid-flight).
Sombra discharges electromagnetic energy in a wide radius, destroying enemy barriers and shields and hacking all opponents caught in the blast.
The Scourge is dead, Doomfist (Akande Ogundimu) killed him. From his bio page on the website:
> Adeyemi was a useful asset to Talon, but the organization saw far greater potential in Ogundimu, with his intelligence and his ability to inspire as a commander. While Adeyemi was content to profit from raids on Numbani, Ogundimu had a grander vision. This difference in aspiration would lead Ogundimu to kill his teacher and take on the mantle of Doomfist, along with the eponymous gauntlet.
How recent was this?
>Fixed a bug to prevent hit effects from being inflicted on D.Va’s human form while piloting the mech.
It looks like her suit breaking was canceling by the sleep. So she was supposed to be out of the suit before the actual animation occurred. Thought there was a fix with Ana's sleep messing with animations, but I can't find it now.
Although the Sombra ARG ended on Nov 2nd, this Atlas News article was posted on the 28th of October. If I'm not mistaken, it's the first time the name Sombra is mentioned outside the ARG, with the exception of the Dorado newspaper. ("Who is Sombra?")
It also fits with the 1-week-before-reveal teaser trend!
Blizzard will pick the nominees.
This Blizzard blog post actually has a lot more information than their official world cup page.
>First, we will select up to ten nominees per eligible country with expertise in the field, including analysts, coaches, statisticians, and other authorities in the Overwatch esports community. From there, players in each of those countries will vote for who they want to see selecting the roster for their nation.
A stealth hero would be a interesting counter against Widowmaker, Torbjörn and Bastion. Certainly brings more dynamic to the table.
Edit: Sombra's habilities:
https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/sombra/
Looks like she can also counter Reinhardt and Winston.
You can buy it for $40. Only the "Origins Edition" is $60, which just gets you some extra skins and some other goodies for other Blizzard games.
That's not a theory, it's literally from his official bio: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/reaper/
As for the Mercy thing, their pre-game voiceline interactions strongly suggest she's partly responsible for Reaper's condition:
Mercy: "What happened to you?" Reaper: "You tell me, doc."
My guess is that in the explosion that destroyed the Overwatch facility, Morrison and Reyes had a battle that left Reyes injured. Mercy tried to fix him, but something must've gone wrong and she assumed he didn't survive the procedure, so she doesn't know who Reaper actually is.
Confirmed they will be competing in Blizzard Sponsored APAC LAN League in Taiwan (https://playoverwatch.com/zh-tw/blog/20653216) Starting April 8 (runs for 13 weeks). $275k USD prize pool.
Very excited to see these guys compete at LAN. Glad they got this opportunity.
But Blizzard loves fan content. They even have reference kits on their media page so people can recreate their assets. As long as the game isn't being made for profit, it should be fine.
You're getting downvoted, but you're not wrong. I think the ability is cheesy as shit and needs to be changed or reworked entirely, but even on the official site the video of scatter arrow is Hanzo shooting it at the ground.
They made a GIF of it as well on the OW blog website

There are comics which are great and clarify a lot of character backstories/sidestories!
The best reference link I can give is this tumblr post - it's up to date with just about every bit of Overwatch lore-related media, and is constantly updated when more comes out :)
I'm a massive lore nerd so as soon as I got into Overwatch I went poking around for stuff haha
"Rise and Shine" is set a little while ago - Mei has already reached civilisation and is up to heroics by the "present day" timeframe. Her exploits with the Endothermic Blaster are noted in this in-universe article about Talon's failed Doomfist theft, and she's on television talking about the climate in the "Reflections" comic, set some time after that.
On her hero page they talk about it a bit more:
> ...she was caught unprepared when she stumbled into the web of a global conspiracy—one that had also noticed her. With her security irreparably compromised, ░░░░░░ was forced to delete all traces of her identity and went into hiding. > She later reemerged as Sombra, upgraded and determined to find out the truth behind the conspiracy she had uncovered.
>In Overwatch, whether your MMR goes up or down is contingent on winning or losing. But there are a number of factors that determine how much that rating goes up or down. For example, what map you’re playing on and whether you were attacking or defending is factored in. We know the win rates on attack/defend on all of the maps and we normalize accordingly. Not all wins and losses are equal. We also look at your individual performance on each of the heroes you played during the match. Everyone has better and worse heroes and we have tons of data showing us what performance levels should be like on those heroes. We also look at your opponents and whether or not their matchmaking rating is higher or lower than yours. These are just a few of the things that are considered when determining how your skill should go up or down.
>Skill ratings will be visible at the beginning of every match. As you compete, your rating will increase or decrease with each win or loss based on a number of factors, including your own performance and the skill of the other players in the match.
Is he really Maori? I don't think so, his bio states that he's from the outback. I think the Maori/Islander skin is just a skin, a lot of them just have no lore basis and are there just to look cool. totally fine.
Though, as an Egyptian, I do have to somewhat agree with the tumblr OP that it's a bit dumb; would have preferred some consistency and a neato Egyptian themed armor. At the same time, I care very little about these things, this skin looks awesome, and this will probably be the least racist way Native American stuff will get represented in OW. Will definitely try to get Thunderbird at some point (I love Pharah).
Are you actually serious? This is an exhibition tournament. There isn't even a prizepool, and half the players were chosen by fan votes. We knew from the very first announcement that this was for show, rather than being an actual competitive tournament with winnings.
If there was a prizepool at stake, I guarantee this situation never would have happened. But there's no money involved and clearly the spectacle was deemed more important.
Christ, some of you people here are acting like Blizzard is trying to matchfix.
I'm talking about the nerf from earlier this year. It's not a recent change, that's why I said "still" in the title.
RIP old Hog. The one who could consistently oneshot full-health Symmetras.
on the wbsite it says
"But when he lost his right arm in the aftermath of the Omnic Crisis, it seemed his martial arts career was finished before he had reached his prime. His company's cybernetic prosthetics allowed him to recover from his injuries,"
hmm something is not adding up
Straight from the official lore on the website.
>As the youngest son of the master of the Shimada ninja clan, Genji lived a life of luxury and privilege. He had little interest in the family's illegal businesses, and although he excelled at and enjoyed his ninja training, he spent most of his time pursuing a playboy lifestyle. Many within the clan considered the carefree Genji to be a dangerous liability, and they resented his father for coddling and protecting him. Following the clan leader's untimely death, Genji's older brother, Hanzo, demanded that Genji take a more active role in their late father's empire. Genji refused, enraging Hanzo. The tension between the brothers built to a violent confrontation that left Genji on the verge of dying.
There's a good bit of backstory about all of the characters on there if you look through them.
> She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion.
The article about Oasis travel tips was also dated the real-world date that it came out, but the Oasis city doesn't exist in the present day.
The same is true for the Lúmerico article, and that's definitely not in the present day (https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/20353652)
"So I'm starting this journal. Honestly, I'm not sure who's going to want to read this. It was the idea of my colleague, Winston. He thinks that people will find my "unique" perspective interesting"
https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/19942649/
It seems that Mei still has a connection to Winston tough. So I guess she was recalled aswell and would join at some point but she seems to be too busy at the moment.
Is she? Whoa, I really thought she was like 14 or 15. She looks so young!
edit: You're right!

Come to think of it, it might not be a good idea to have a 15 yo girl repeatedly die in a game. Some people might take offense. It's cool with 19 though, those we can kill by the truckload.
Widowmaker's character site (with lore if you select it)
Quote:
> Widowmaker is the perfect assassin: a patient, ruthlessly efficient killer who shows neither emotion nor remorse.
> It is believed that in her former life, Widowmaker was married to Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against the Talon terrorist organization. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon decided to change its focus to his wife, Amélie. Talon operatives kidnapped her and subjected her to an intense program of neural reconditioning. They broke her will, suppressed her personality, and reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. She was eventually found by Overwatch agents, apparently none the worse for wear, and returned to her normal life.
> Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep.
> Her mission complete, Amélie returned to Talon, and they completed the process of turning her into a living weapon. She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion. Amélie was gone.
> Now, Widowmaker is Talon's most effective assassin, feeling little save the satisfaction of a job well done.
Where did this myth originated that they increase the money for duplicates? That has never been said. From the Patch Notes:
> We always want the experience of opening an in-game loot box to feel exciting and rewarding, and in our latest patch we’re working to improve that experience in two key ways. First, we’re drastically reducing the amount of duplicates players will receive when opening loot boxes. Second, to compensate for this reduction of duplicate items, we’re also increasing the overall amount of credits players will receive from loot boxes. On average, players should be earning just as many credits, if not slightly more, from loot boxes than they did prior to these changes.
Even Jeff doesn't phrase it that way in the Developer Update.
I think people missunderstand that instead of duplicates we will see credit drops more often which logicaly results in higher credit rewards.
Mei was stationed at the Overwatch Antartic research station. They were multiple research stations (Watchpoints), the most familiar one being Watchpoint Gibraltar.
Edit: Official source - Watchpoint: Antarctica
According to this blog post, Reaper got passed over for a promotion that Soldier 76 ended up getting, and it created tension between them, so you aren't far off.
Remember, four teams from the Americas, six teams from Europe, and six teams from Asia qualify. US, Canada, Brazil, China, Korea, and ANZ qualify automatically. (source for both points)
That leaves one spot in Americas, six in Europe, and three in Asia up for grabs.
My predictions (italics are prequalified):
Americas: US, Canada, Brazil, Peru
Europe: Sweden, Germany, Finland, Spain, CIS & Baltic, Russa (dark horse: France)
Asia: China, Korea, ANZ, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan (dark horse: Japan)

2) Right click on the page and click "Inspect Element" (or go into your menu and open the developer options.)
3) Press Ctrl+F and type in "Vientos" and it will jump straight to the line: <!--Vientos, nada mal. No obstante, me aburro. Intentemos algo nuevo en la misma dirección. uczihriwgsxorxwunaarawryqhbrsfmeqrjjmu 5552E494 78T3 4VM9 OPL6 IS8208O913KRlrx-->

Josh Engen / Overwatch Team
We recently created a couple of victory poses for Bastion and Sombra that weren’t originally intended for use in our Winter Wonderland 2017 event. However, they ended up being used in a number of marketing assets, which was understandably confusing for some of our players who saw the poses but were unable to collect them.
So, as an extra-special treat, we’re going to grant both of these poses to all of our players, regardless of whether or not they logged into Overwatch during the Winter Wonderland event and earned or purchased Winter Loot Boxes. Once they’ve been added to the game, anyone who logs in will receive Sombra and Bastion’s “Toast” victory poses.
The poses have already been added to the PTR and will be headed to the standard version of the game in January, after the Winter Wonderland event has concluded.
To learn more about the Winter Wonderland event, click here. In the meantime, put on an ugly sweater, grab a mug of hot cocoa, and hunt down a Yeti with your fellow Meis (or fight back as the mythical beast himself!).
For those who want to try organized competitive play, Open Division is for you, and registration is now live. Open Division will run in the same seven regions as Contenders: Australia, China, Europe, Korea, North America, the Pacific, and South America.
Registration is now live at the Overwatch Open Division hub!
Play begins in January.
No rank restrictions.
Six-week, Swiss-format season.
Top teams will be invited to Contenders Trials.
Lore time;
Zenyatta is referred to as him in his bio, and Orisa as her in hers. Bastion is referred to as it in their bio, probably due to his 'Crisis Omnic' programming not including identity or gender by default
Bastion's Ironclad is nerfed in PTR. I'm sure he'll see substantially more play than before, but he's no longer the invincible robotic demigod we've come to know and fear in the last 48 hours.
It's heavily implied Vishkar are "evil", or at least they have sinister motives. Symmetra's comic expands on it a bit better, as well as Lucio's bio!
Yeah, I was wondering that. Those four feel like way too specific a choice of heroes to be a coincidence.
Though FYI, we already know what Mei did once she reached civilisation. She's now travelling around investigating the climate weirdness, writing a blog about it at Winston's recommendation. And by the first Christmas after the Recall (i.e. the "Reflections" comic), she'd become enough of a celebrity to be doing a TV interview about the weather.
Real Name: Fareeha Amari, Age: 32
Real Name: Angela Ziegler, Age: 37
So, since Uprising took place 7 years before the game, Mercy would have been 30 and Pharah would have been 25.
They mentioned it once during the opening ceremony. Here's another instance of it being called an "arena" by Blizzard: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/20401305
"Unlike our Assault, Escort, Control, and Assault/Escort maps, Ecopoint: Antarctica is an Arena map, which means that each match revolves around eliminating the opposing team before they eliminate you."
"[...] as Overwatch's influence waned, rogue elements within Blackwatch sought to bring down the organization and turn it to their own ends. Wanting no part of the infighting, McCree set off alone and went underground." (source)
So McCree was long gone before the Swiss HQ went boom.

Overwatch page with her abilities, copy and pasted below for those unable to see at work/school:
FUSION DRIVER Orisa’s automatic projectile cannon delivers sustained damage, but slows her movement while she fires it.
FORTIFY Orisa temporarily reduces damage she takes, and cannot be affected by action-impairing effects.
HALT! Orisa launches a graviton charge which she can detonate, slowing nearby enemies and pulling them towards the explosion.
PROTECTIVE BARRIER Orisa throws out a stationary barrier that can protect her and her allies from enemy fire.
SUPERCHARGER Orisa deploys a device to increase damage inflicted by allies within her line of sight.
the official overwatch page says its a katakana (pretty sure this is wrong) > Genji flings precise and deadly Shuriken at his targets, and uses his technologically-advanced katana to deflect projectiles or deliver a Swift Strike that cuts down enemies.
but the unnoffical overwatch wiki states its a wakizashi. > Genji flings precise and deadly Shuriken at his targets, and uses his wakizashi to deflect projectiles or delivers a Swift Strike with his technologically-advanced katana that cuts down enemies.

> Starting today, we will begin tracking the skill ratings of the top 100 players from every country to determine each country’s average rating. Then, in April, we’ll use those average ratings to identify which 32 countries from around the world have the most skilled players. These countries will move on to our live qualifiers (detailed below) where they will battle in groups of eight for a chance to compete on the BlizzCon 2017 stage.
So a country's "strength" is going to be based off of the ladder results, which, I think, should in turn mean that the people eligeable for vote should be part of the top 100 players of each country, anything else wouldn't make much sense, right?
If it's going to be that way, I think this will be great. My biggest problem with last year's world cup was that some countries were weakened by personalities that aren't necessarily the best of the best (no offense) being voted in, while other countries didn't have that problem, because the well known players there were known for their skill. It'd be great if they'd fix that.
Think I found something pretty obvious, though I'm not an ARG-er generally so I'm not sure where to go from here...
On Orisa's Hero Detail Page, when you toggle between each ability icon, there's a static-y clearly corrupted screen of something before the animation for the next one loads. This happens if you click the icons or just wait for the next ability to load.
Just to make sure I went to other heroes (including sombra) and verified the effect does NOT happen on their detail page.
~~Edit: Confirmed, if you go directly to the videos and watch the first split second, you see it (example: https://blzgdapipro-a.akamaihd.net/hero/orisa/ability-fusion-driver/video-ability.mp4).~~
Edit 2: Sorry guys, someone pointed out the vids for other heroes DO have this same weird glitch (and apparently always have?), just for some reason it's at the end of the previous vids and for Orisa it's at the beginning (which is why I didn't notice it when switching between vids on the old heroes, you'd have to wait for them to finish rather than it always coming up as soon as you click with Orisa). Claim is it was for Soldier76? This is what I get for being overly enthusiastic.
Mercy isn't a battle medic tho. She opposes war and the approach overwatch took to end it.
>Because her parents had been taken by war, Ziegler was opposed to the organization's militaristic approach to keeping global peace

The official lore actually already explains it rather well.
>Once a frontline combatant in the devastating Omnic Crisis, this curious Bastion unit now explores the world, fascinated by nature but wary of a fearful humanity.
>Originally created for peacekeeping purposes, Bastion robot units possessed the unique ability to rapidly reconfigure themselves into an assault-cannon mode. But during the Omnic Crisis, they were turned against their human makers, forming the bulk of the omnics' rebel army. Following the resolution of the crisis, nearly all of them were destroyed or disassembled. To this day, Bastion units still symbolize the horrors of the conflict.
>One unique Bastion unit, severely damaged in the final battles of the war, was left forgotten for over a decade. It lay dormant, exposed to the elements and rusting while nature slowly reclaimed it. Overgrown with vines and roots and nested upon by small animals, the robot sat inert, seemingly unaware of the passing of time. That was until one fateful day, when it unexpectedly reactivated. With its combat programming all but lost, it instead displayed an intense curiosity about the natural world and its inhabitants. This inquisitive Bastion unit set out to explore its surroundings and discover its purpose on a war-ravaged planet.
>Though "Bastion" appears to be gentle—even harmless, at times—its core combat programming takes over when the unit senses danger, utilizing its entire arsenal to eliminate anything it perceives as a threat. This has led to instances of conflict with the few humans it has encountered, and has driven it to avoid populated areas in favor of the wild, uncharted regions of the world.
Omnium are factories or facilities that create omnics, originally intended for human benefit, not a substance like the suffix -ium led you to believe. The Omnic Crisis involved omniums and their omnics going rogue, attacking humanity. The language in Fading Glory has a paragraph about the origins of omniums.
Junkrat's story blurb explicitly says that omniums are powered by fusion; presumably humanity figured out nuclear fusion in the sci-fi future.
Sorry you ended up writing so much based on a misleading name.
