Maro, a famous part of Magic: The Gathering's dev team, did a talk on 20 lessons learned in 20 years at Wizards of the Coast (link that includes a written and video version: https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/twenty-years-twenty-lessons-part-1-2016-05-30)
Here's the relevant quote from lesson 5:
>Often when we are playing around with new ideas in R&D, we ask ourselves, "Is this interesting or is this fun?" Is this a card that's neat to read and think about or is this a card that's enjoyable to play? Because the latter is going to get you closer to creating the emotional response you're trying to build with your game.
This is a lesson that is hard to learn, to internalize and work on. It happens with artists, game designers, D&D dungeon masters, etc, and it happens with annoying frequency with League devs. Too often the focus isn't on what makes the better game but the focus is on showing off how creative a designer/artist/developer you are.
There's a lot of mish-mash of trying to show off design skills, misguided attempts at trying to make a good game, and creating something that stays fresh. Riot does a very good job when you think about the scope and scale of their changes, it's just that when they miss, they miss hard.
Fellow designer here - thanks for sharing your design I like how you've simplified a lot of the elements and included a LCS schedule but to be honest this feels more like a reskin with the website textures than a new design. I write this to push you to do better, come up with new layout and possibly new elements altogether like the LCS schedule. The sky is the limit when you're doing self work and I think it'd be a better exercise to approach it from a blank slate. Feel free to respond I'd be happy to brainstorm some ideas.
Here's some inspiration https://medium.com/p/2525bad49a5c

These gmail articles are pretty difficult to make but they're also fun too, we just sit in a chat and brainstorm strange ideas. It was pretty hard not to go crazy on the fine this fine that stuff, at one point we had Nick fining his own laptop 8 gb of ram for malfunctioning on him, and we all collectively thought "OK we've come too far."
Big thanks to Joe and Hal for helping work on this, was very fun.

And then there is this quote from part 2 of that same series.
>Your players don't need to love everything, but they need to love something. Something has to draw them into your game, something they feel strongly about. Don't worry that the players will hate something. Instead, worry that no one will love anything. Things that evoke strong responses will most often evoke strong responses in many directions, meaning it's almost impossible to make some players love something without making other players hate it. In fact, some players enjoy hating what other players love. So stop worrying about evoking a negative response and start worrying about evoking a strong response.

>We removed Qiyana's ability to jungle back when she was a dominant mid/jungle flex pick in Pro. Her standings in mid have gone down since then, so we're cautiously optimistic about reintroducing her to the jungle.
Wow, I really didnt expect Riot would buff the BE gain that much, this is honestly a massive increase compared to the previous, I'm guessing this amounts to a roughly 10-20% increase in BE compared to the old system. I made an estimate of the difference in BE and IP gain before this post, you can find an image of the graph here or the interactive version here. This graph is for 5 games per first win. I'll create a new updated graph, that reflects the changes riot made, so you can see the difference.
Hi folks, I’m SirJolt. I’m one of ESEX’s writers/editors (at least while our editor in chief is in China).
I’m really glad people are enjoying this one; with posts like this, you’re always going to be walking a fine line, but the Garena post that we were commenting seemed to demand some kind of response.
In these situations, the hardest thing is definitely trying to keep any kind of perspective, especially given the fact that the temptation is to just try to be more bombastic and ridiculous than the post you’re commenting on. In this instance, that seemed to be almost impossible, so the wisest course seemed to be to ask, “What would happen in a world in which Garena’s suppositions about LGBT players were true?”
From there, the rest of the post came together quite naturally.

Also consider a vertical mouse, it keeps your wrist in a a more neutral position (less forearm pronation). I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Ergonomic-Optical-Vertical-Buttons/dp/B00FPAVUHC/
It takes some adjustment and is probably not as accurate for twitch movements, but it should help reduce the strain on your wrists if you're having problems.

EU prices are higher because of VAT, which is baked into the cost of RP in Europe. No such similar tax applies elsewhere. If you factor in VAT, EUW RP prices are actually slightly cheaper than NA.
(It's also not particularly fair to compare buying 8250 RP at a time to 15000 RP at a time; of course it'd be cheaper to buy 15000 at a time.)
> In EUW, we've been paying 10€ for 1580RP since some years. So expensive - we've thought the first months after the price got increased by 10%. Right now nobody remembers this, that you could get 1780RP with just 10€. Riot said that it was due to the crisis of the euro, it made sense. However they haven't reduced the price now that the euro has recovered from the crisis.
https://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=EUR&to=USD&view=10Y
It went from 1.5 to 1.0 and now back up to 1.1. I'd hardly call that recovering from the crisis.
Go into your router settings and tick clone mac address, manually change the last digit of your mac address to any other even number that it's not. Before saving those new settings, unplug your modem, save the settings (wait for it to fail or finish loading), and plug your modem back in. It will do a full boot and then bam, new IP on demand. This tricks your modem into thinking it's in a new location and it assigns you a new IP every time, do it as often as you would like. It's important to note that this step isn't necessary, you may just call your ISP and have them assign you a new IP when you start this project.
Download VMWare and put EVERYTHING except league of legends and OBS on a virtual machine.
Connect that virtual machine to a VPN. Maintain communications like Skype and social media through your VPN at all times.
This way League of Legends and OBS will be on their own IP, your actual IP. While everything P2P based is on the VPN. If your VPN is DDoS'd you just switch to a new IP, at worst you get kicked from Skype. Use a service like EarthVPN that will let you switch IPs on your VM as often as you would like.
Isn't he an engineer by profession? I thought casting was his side job.

Same as that Korean chick who played Zarya (tank with high damage potential) in Overwatch insanely well at really high ranks. She had to play with a camera pointed towards her for people to believe it was her.
(Edit: Here's an article about her. My details were a bit off but anyway, she was accused of cheating because apparently nobody could be that good on Zarya, especially not a 17-year-old girl. She proved the accusers wrong by playing on stream.)
It's ridiculous the lengths women have to go to to get guys to understand that we can be good at videogames, too, and at more roles than just support.
I've been up to high Master on Overwatch and have had ~~men~~ boys literally scream at me to go back to the kitchen because we were "losing because of the girl" and girls apparently shouldn't play videogames cause they suck at it and I must have gotten a boost and so on.
Props to Boxbox for doing one hell of a marathon stream, but stuff like this shouldn't really be encouraged. Just earlier this week a story from 2012 about a Diablo 3 gamer who died from exhaustion after playing for 40 hours straight reached the front page.
In addition to exhaustion, marathon gaming can also bring about Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). A DVT is a blood clot that has formed in a deep vein usually in the calf, thigh or pelvis. It can be fatal if part of it breaks off and begins to travel or if the whole thing begins to move and travel to other veins causing a blockage to the heart, lung or brain. Staying hydrated, stretching, and getting up to move around can literally save your life.
Finally [here is an article](http://www.wikihow.com/Avoid-Getting-Deep-Vein-Thrombosis-(DVT) that includes some basic information about DVT, and some things you should be doing if you do plan on having a marathon gaming session.
And then from part 3:
> In my 20 years at Wizards, I've done a lot of groundbreaking things. Every time, someone (usually many people) comes out of the woodwork, full of passion and purpose, telling me all the reasons why the unconventional new thing is a bad idea. "You can't do that!" "It's too risky!" "It will hurt the game!"
>I've also created my share of boring mechanics. Yet very few people ever had the passion and purpose to stop me from making those mechanics. Why? Because people fear challenging the players more than boring them, but I think that's backward. When you try something grandiose and it fails, the players forgive you because they recognize you were trying to do something awesome. They respect the attempt. They stick around to see what you'll do next. But when you bore your audience, there's no such forgiveness, because making the same mistake is not the same as making a new one. When you bore your players, they resent you. Sometimes they stop playing.
You could have tried with random characters it won't check with riot if the account is valid.

Hijacking top comment to post this: Runes are heinously imbalanced. Rune comparative stat bonuses are all over the place and have no real correlation or logic. This leads to certain runes just plain being better than any of the other options. Linked is a long spreadsheet explaining HOW runes are imbalanced exactly, and how to fix them.

EDIT: period
I always fight people when they talk about 'dumbing down the game' as if reducing complexity is a binary smart/dumb switch.
Mark Rosewater talks a bit about complexity (Meddler quoted him in a daily gameplay thought) - https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/piggybacking-2012-08-16. He doesn't outright say it, but the concept of complexity killing your game (but wanting to add it) basically goes to selective complexity.
If we assume a game has an upper threshold of complexity before it enters a death-spiral of inaccessibility, a designer's job is to into it in smart ways.
I'm reading the internal emails of the change, and this one wasn't made easily. There's definitely some complexity lost around jungle tracking if you're really good at it (see OP), but I suspect it had to do with the broad inaccessibility of "the complexity" to most regular players and the lack of clarity around the numbers themselves (and inconsistency when compared against laning CS scores). I wonder if the lead designer will hit me for pulling out an email thread, but it's good so he'll have to forgive me:
"Functionally speaking, laner CS is a rough approximation for how much power you've derived from farming the map, provided you're a reasonably skilled player, and as a learning point that even relatively new players can understand (once pointed out) - get better by increasing that number. Jungle CS does not presently serve that function, but instead subs in as a fairly precise way of tracing the enemy jungler's movements around the map provided you're a very high skill jungler.
Are these two radically different functions valuable? Is it acceptable that the one number is used in such different ways? How much value would there be in having laner-style CS functionality for junglers? If we change it, are we obligated to provide a different way of tracking the enemy jungler?""
I dunno, I'm just quoting him.
Use NordVPN if you want to trust a company that is supposed to protect your privacy but instead gets your data compromised and still tries to hide that away from you. But hey at least you get that month for free and a discount that is too good to pass on.
Lest we forget the hardcore Halo 2 gamers that stayed in the game for over 2 weeks, forcing Microsoft to keep the XBox Live servers running just for that one last game. They were given a ridiculous amount of freebies just to close the game

Exactly. Most people I know play on PTR now who were playing competitive S1 to practice up on the new meta, new season changes and new maps. I'm not sure how access is for that on PC Bangs in Korea but I imagine they would be really laggy playing on the PTR if its still only located in the US.

Yeah, it doesn't work as well in China. I live here and everyone who's lived here longer than a year knows the best VPN is Astrill. It's fairly unknown outside of China but somehow works really well here.
Serious talk, gonna warn people that might try this: really hard early game, you have to kite camps with golem stun and yellow cards and be extremely careful with invades, and if you're behind you're kinda fucked. Despite that, if everything goes well you'll enjoy extreme rightclick mechanics.
By the way, I'm gonna post build: https://gyazo.com/7d47443d1c145bc5210f99599bf45d5d
I think most people aren't thinking about the situation logically. Even if the majority of people can't play because of whatever reason (no computer/no internet), there's more than enough people with computers and stable internet around.
There's 1.3 billion people in India, while a region like Oceania only has ~40 million. If only 10% of India had access to a computer and stable internet that's more than 3 times the population of Oceania.
That's more than enough people to warrant local servers.

Look. The people who want a good VPN will do their research online and/or ask around people that know a thing or two about VPNs. The people who are not so smart will just buy whatever commercial they get spoon fed by their favorite streamers. You won't change that. I won't change that. NordVPN, G2A, gaming chairs, raid shadow legends, Gfuel. None of those are worth a cent, but advertising shitty things seems to be working regardless.

Well the situation was really funny, I bursted out in laughter when it happened but I wasn't trying to "disrespect". I was trying out the new Kassadin in a normal game, I thought I was dead so I gave up and started laughing, then I realized my ult was really low cooldown so I tried leaving. There was no way I was getting out of that alive anyways. The thing with that game was our team gave up early because our support Dc'ed and Jinx killed him repeatedly when he got back into lane at level 2. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=33af9qo&s=8#.UyysrvmSx9k The enemy team was really anti-fun and BM which is completely fine, it was just a normal game. Me and the others were just trying to have some fun.
The Tryndamere won against Renekton 1v1, was pretty impressive actually.

To be fair though the art they're replacing is even more trash in most cases. Literally just screenshots of the old models drawn over with some photoshop thrown in.
The artwork isn't bad-bad , it just lacks Riot's art direction which makes it stand out like a sore thumb since it doesn't share the same style as the rest of the artwork.
You know what happens when you have no art direction whatsoever? HoN happens. Seriously, they can't even keep the style consistent between splash art of the same hero.

It bothers me too. We follow the players back to their player lounges and half of them go grab a disposable water bottle. There is one of these ( https://www.amazon.com/Elkay-LZS8WSLK-Drinking-Fountain-Station/dp/B0038YCQQQ/ ) in every office and public space in my city. Hell, airports around the world are now banning single use water bottles. Riot should absolutely be on this. I'm sure their offices in LA have bottle stations.
For an example that isn't related to games: If you go up to someone and ask them to do you a favor, they might do it. But if you offer them $1 to do the same favor, they're less likely to do it, because the promise of payment causes their brain to start evaluating whether you're fairly compensating them, rather than just whether they're willing to do the thing you asked.
(I got this from Dan Ariely's Predictably Irrational, in case anyone's interested.)
I tried to graph it:

You can press "play" on the variables a,b,c on the sidebar to have it automatically alter their values. Seems to only produce diagonal lines that cross the point (0,0). Not really pretty.
Recipe:
Chain Vest (45 armor)= 700 gold
Cloak of Agility (18% crit chance) = 830 gold
Combine cost (1.5% hp converted to AD)= 825 gold
AD Bonus from:
2000 hp= 30
2500 hp= 37.5
3000 hp= 45
According to this spreadsheet (just pulled it off google really fast) 1 AD has a value of 38.
So (remember passive costs 825):
2000 hp= 30 (value of 1140 gold)
2500 hp= 37.5 (value of 1425 gold)
3000 hp= 45 (value of 1710 gold)

Lord Loco indeed as well as this Leviathan guy who is Alliance analyst. One of the most beautiful games I have seen in the western scene.
Nowadays it only rarely happens that I am surprised by what is going on in the western games, and this game it was that play around the blue buff. I was was so focused on it and even cursed when All did not get it. It was only after that when I took a look on the minimap and saw Shyvana taking turret. Such a decisionmaking, Alliance put themselves in a win-win position. Such a good game.
EDIT: Just a small promotion, the guy helping Alliance with analysis is doing AMA on ask.fm as I write this. You can check it here

Because the https site doesn't have a valid certificate associated with it. Windows has a built in list of "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" firefox and edge use this list, I think chrome maintains it's own list. Basically if you visit a site and it has a certificate created by one of the trusted CA's, your browser will show the green lock icon.
Just because it shows the green lock doesn't mean that the site won't scam you, it just means that it has a valid certificate and that traffic is encrypted until it reaches the server which has the private key to decrypt the message.
If the scammer wants they can just buy a certificate for their or get a free one from Let's Encrypt.
Oh, I thought you were worried about it being unsafe for you. That makes much more sense.
The servers already are public. If you play a game with Wireshark or TCPDump, you can see the IPs your computer is communicating with. If your computer doesn't know who to communicate with, it's not going to be able to play the game.

In all seriousness, don't pay attention to him. He is probably some shitstain that lives his life in a basement, continously telling his family that he will be a lolpro in the future, rather than get a proper job and education. You may also want to use a proxy like Hotspot Shield, since those type of things change your IP to another IP.
Maybe they could integrate it with the existing League of Legends Friends app (Android, iOS). Also, make use of group chats in the client for the fantasy league players. Since Fantasy League is a place where you can meet other players that are interested in the competitive scene, this way you can get to know those players and chat with them using the existing League chat system (that the players are already familiar with).

The title makes it seem like this will work for everyone, which is hardly the case. This only works if you have a notebook with one of the WiFi adapters listed in that post: >- Intel Centrino 6205 Advanced-N - Intel Centrino 6235 Advanced-N - Intel Centrino 6300 Ultimate-N
Which is pretty unlikely (but by all means do lookup the specifications of your laptop to see if you've got one of these). If you don't have that WiFi adapter, your laptop is not affected by this issue and your ping spikes are being caused by something else. Things you can try:
As a Chinese I can confirm that Reddit isn't banned. Although for some strange reason, since summer of last year (2013), the NA and EU League of Legends official websites are not accessible at all unless we have a VPN (I use Astrill). I still don't know why they blocked those sites. Also, as I play on NA (made my account when I was still in the states), the launcher shows NA and other servers as "Unavailable" 9.999999% of the time. We basically HAVE to use the launcher backdoor (typing "thereisnourflevel") to be able to have the server status show "Online" and the "Play" button to light up in order to be able to play. Also, the Korean version of our LoL Subreddit, Inven, is blocked for some reason too (my Korean friends tell me). Yet here we have the English LoL subreddit unblocked and perfect accessible, is accessible too as well. China's internet is really weird. Nobody knows why anything is filtered by the Great Firewall of China.
Funny story: I actually worked for Riot on contract during the Spring Split of the Season 3 LCS, doing match recaps, interviews, and writing player profiles. They made the choice to go to a freelancer-based system by the end of my contract, so it didn't continue.
The main thing is that if I were to do this for LoLeSports they would either need to host 30+mb GIFs (which is unwieldy) or integrate Gfycat (which I use to host my animations) into their site; enterprise-level sites like LoLeSports rarely rely on outside services they don't control (because Gfycat shows ads, etc), and I don't know if Gfycat could scale to the demand of LoLeSports' traffic, considering they're fairly new.
l0l I forgot all about that link. It's funny to look back at that. All the old rosters and stuff. Blast from the past or what!
For those using Method 1... first things first you need a computer in your bedroom and your door has to be shut.
Monitor glow is pretty obvious though and can be seen through the small gap(s) around the door. So...
>-Only 1 monitor, change brightness settings on monitor to lowest they can go.
>-Download this program which basically adds a greyscale color filter to your screen to make it even darker: http://download.cnet.com/Monitor-Brightness-Reducer/3000-2072_4-10690260.html
>-Set the percentage to something like 60-75%.
You won't be able to see shit at first but you will get used to it quickly (all lights have to be off ofc).
You have to play LoL in borderless windowed mode for this program to work on top of the client.
Oh, and this is probably pretty bad on your eyes...
Want more stealth?
>-Grab a light t-shirt and cover your mouse and hand with it to muffle the clicking sound. You can still hear it but the sound won't travel nearly as far.
>-Play with headphones on, volume turned down, leave one ear exposed. This is so you can hear what noises you make, and it can help to provide warning if anyone is moving around.
>-Get a small fan. Leave it running at night. Tell your parents you need the white noise to fall asleep. Noise will also help to muffle keystrokes etc. The clicky mechanical keyboards aren't ideal for minimal noise, but a fan can help mute the keys during normal gameplay (just have to be careful chatting).
When done, make sure you change monitor settings back and exit the program.

Just download both and when the livestreamer installer asks you wether you want to modify the settings file, click yes and paste the path to your player in there. Done. Now just open the Twitch GUI and enjoy.
Also if you want the Twitch chat, they also have a link in there that autmoaticly opens it
>The program is completely useless.
This is an incorrect statement.
Believe it or not, WTFast is a legitimate program offering a completely viable service for a reasonable price. It's a VPN service you subscribe to. This is a real thing that happens all the time. It is NOT suitable for everyone and under certain conditions you have to configure your network for it to properly work. Please do more research into what the program actually does.
More on VPNs:
Coding abilities as minions is really easy and not neccesarily a bad idea. Many games employ similar methods, for example Blizzard uses invisible bunnies in WoW.
Riot probably has a simple flag somewhere that tells the game to ignore these minions for all effects that would typically affect minions (or be affected by minions) and some Rioter just forgot to set that flag. That's the embarassing part.
I remember watching scarra's stream before worlds yesterday and MegaZero msged him about hotshot and him planning to scrim or something.
proof http://tinypic.com/r/aemdk1/8 or http://puu.sh/bZK0X/812cc0cbbf.jpg
scarra did say he was leaving the dig organization to do something else perhaps even be a pro again or coach another team.
CLG Megazero? ? hard to imagine scarra coaching CLG tho instead of dig
Interesting that Mata mentions Forg1ven. In a recent interview Forg1ven said that they played against RNG a few times and that Uzi is kinda same to him. So h2k botlane probably did good against RNG botlane I guess
I am the guy!

Thanks everyone for the support.
AMA?
I'VE STARTED AN AMA:
Actually it isn't as gold efficient as people think. It's above average for gold efficiency, but nowhere near the top (at least if you only consider the benefit to the holder and not the benefits to the team). You can see how it compares to other items in terms of efficiency on this spreadsheet (just switch to the "Data" tab).
It is however one of only two items in the game that give you both armor and MR (the other being guardian angel), which means if you want to get a single item early to go against a fairly balanced team in terms of damage types it is a good bet.
As much as I'd love cheaper RP, the pound against the euro hasn't really changed much since they made the price adjustment:
https://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=GBP&to=EUR&view=1Y
And the pound vs USD has only gradually recovered, and still not quite back to the 1.45-1.55 it was hovering before the referendum.
https://xe.com/currencycharts/?from=GBP&to=USD&view=1Y
Should it continue trending upwards and stabilise above 1.5usd/gbp I think you would have a case, but for now I don't think we're going to see a reverse.
Try download the Reddit Enhancement Suite, it makes editing and formatting a lot easier. Also just makes Reddit way nicer to use, now that I have it I don't know how I stayed on the site beforehand :P
I assume the site was blocked because another site using the hosting service (OpenShift) was flagged as a malicious website. Unfortunately this is beyond my control since I'm just one of many people using the hosting service
Here you go, good sir: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtkkAOlO_ZfPdGpJRmZWWG5uVmN3Q0poTHZILTlLV1E
I know, my formatting is bad but I'm not really good with excel. The first ten weeks are actually the Preseason but I decided to also track them.
If by chance this does happen to you, expanding the client does not expand the bugged mastery page, so you can still select a champion, runes, masteries, and summoner spells. The champion has to be in the right hand columns, though. https://gyazo.com/0e087ac3ce04cf48d234d046d679caaa
If you absolutely want to play a certain champion, you can type something like Ashe|Ryze|Garen|Wukong|etc into the search bar until your desired champion is within view.
I mean, they also said "us saying it isn't coming back is not an April Fools joke. We know you don't believe us but it's not coming back for April 1st." They said literally that. At that point, you're in denial if you still think they're April Fooling you.
Edit: Here is Scarizard and Ghostcrawler saying literally this.
> On an unrelated note, they also recently removed the ability to view match history online
I am currently making a format for post-match discussions, so that i can share a format with the subbreddit.
Edit: This is what the format kinda looks like https://jumpshare.com/v/WxRACMD9osE6UrblKBmM
Edit2: I will try to make a more clean format, and explain how it works.

EDIT: Yep.. down now - being fixed now though. Sorry everyone!
EDIT2: Back from being completed down... but the server is still being really slow. Sorry everyone.
EDIT3: Server is being re-booted as more RAM has been added, and the PHP is being updated as well. Should, hopefully, be back for good once that's done!
Captain's Log 4: The site is being moved to a different server. Unfortunately that means the site will be down for 60 minutes from now. The new server is the equivalent of a 3.13 Global Gragas ultimate, so it should be fine after that. Sorry everyone!
Edit 5: Back in action - hopefully forever
Just wanna hop in here and link this wrist sleeve which is the one Hai, Bunny, Meteos, and Sneaky have all used. I too started getting wrist pains a couple years ago (around 19.. hmm) These'll be great to avoid those pains, and you'll be able to keep pretty much all joint motion unlike some sleeves, but please don't use it as an alternative to actually taking care of your wrists.
Then play Pokemon again. Download a GBA Emulator here and download the pokemon game you want searching for Pokemon 'name' ROM. Run the ROM file in the emulator & enjoy playing pokemon on your computer. Phone user? Get this app to run ROM files (there is also a paid/full version that can be downloaded for free if you search on the internet).
Guys. You all are the April Fool's joke. They said so many times, on so many different platforms, that URF was returning for the rotating game mode queue but NOT for April 1st. You convinced yourselves they were lying. They weren't. Happy April 1st. You fooled yourselves.
Edit: Wow look at this 2 week old video of Rioters saying warning against this.
I assumed this was already posted but couldn't find it anywhere so here you go I guess
here's a direct link to the first episode (but i'm not sure if access is available outside the UK)
OK - I've created a minimalist version that any jungler or support could benefit from imo. I cleaned up the notes a little bit, provided version info, and install instructions in the file. Here's what's different from the version in the OP: 1. F9 will not cause the game to alt + tab out. 2. Automated reminder messages have been removed. The script now only generates 1 single message indicating the respawn time of a creep. Note - the main reason for me making this change is so that the user will NEVER be surprised and miss an ability because the timer pop up occurred (see above).
Upvote if useful so more can get at the new code. My thanks again to the op and the original code. This is a useful tool that I'll use going forward.
Link to pastebin of file: http://pastebin.com/Ppgt2auW Link to box.net file zipped: https://www.box.com/s/20c5dc762a38b263531a
edit - I tested the updated code multiple times and it works well. I think the minimalist approach is best (1 message period) as it mitigates issues with slower pcs, etc, and ensures that you'll still be able to cast all abilities as appropriate. I might make another version that does the same stuff, but has 1 additional message (instead of the 3 that happen in the pastebin in the op) indicating either the spawn time or a reminder about 15 seconds before something will spawn. Anyway, the version I made is likely something that everyone can use without impacting them negatively in any way. Night!
Hey, we won! That's playoffs for us.
Psst. Hirit and Vetheo's birthdays are coming up!
Hirit turns 23 on Saturday, and Vetheo turns 19 on Monday!
Attached below are Padlets (online birthday cards) that you can sign, post any media, and give encouragements to these birthday bunnies. You can post many times as you want; please keep it work appropriate. Thanks!
Frames (especially good quality ones) are expensive.
Framing costs money and frames add significant weight to postage.
A generic 24x36 frame costs 60 bucks on amazon -- so that pricing is about correct.
You can always frame it yourself if you want to save money.
It's going to sound funny, but he uses one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Keyboard-Playmat-71-Playback-Adjustable/dp/B073R2FBWY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1548535434&sr=8-3&keywords=foot+keyboard
He had a friend set it up for him so the keys map to different keyboard buttons.
Possibly an easier to read version in case you can't shrink the picture- http://postimage.org/image/pf79hancn/
Might not be funny to some or most, I really can't tell when I'm making them if my humor is too twisted/unfunny. But worth a shot.
This article seems to be mostly FUD.
If you're already having serious problems it may be something to look at again - I didn't verify what it does during a game - but it appears to be mostly harmless from the checking I did.
this is a good pick up, mylixia has always been mature and composed and was rational.
excited to see how it turns out.
obviously if matt and hotshot thought he was good, hes good.
good luck mylixia!
also if you guys are wondering, this was the guy that always got dig out of shit constantly when odee was fucking everything up.
Edit: hes doing a Q & A, if you have questions Here is the link
also here are his credentials, he was a CEO before for another company so he is experienced
Foobar2000 hands down. I've been using it for years and years. Probably the most lightweight audio playing program around with tons of customization.
Here's a screenshot of what it looks like and the CPU it takes up.
This is a very useful page for people looking to apply to Riot. It helped me a lot, and it's a far more useful place to post than reddit for application information.
ETA: I should note that I consider the information and networking I gained from this group to be very influential in my application process for Riot.
> He quite literally called the co-founder a motherfucker on SI
They recorded that SI on Sep. 9th, Monte was told he wouldn't be invited to worlds on Aug.9 accoridng to the ESPN article, so he was long out at that point. Before he got completely fucked by Riot by the REN thing and not being invited to the events, he never made any crazy insulting remarks like that he just gave constructive criticism.
Patch 10.2
>1/23/2020 Sett Bugfix
>Sett
>E - FACEBREAKER BUGFIX The ability's range is no longer greater than what the indicator shows
https://www.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/game-updates/patch-10-2-notes/
I think Aphelios had a lot of issues and to isolate any single one is unfair.
Yes, his ult was an issue, and his one shot potential was by far the most problematic part of his kit on release. There was also the issue of his infinite range on Calibrum + Crescendum turret.
Despite that, there were plenty of things that people complained about even after the Infernum ratio was nerfed that weren't ratio based, but instead clarity based. A big one at the time was the need to read what Aphelios did as a champ to play against him, i.e. learning the various parts of his kits and spells he could change between at will. Another was the lack of clarity on what his secondary weapon was, when nearly every ability would synergize with it.
In short, I think that being overtuned was a problem, but not the only one; visual clarity changes were something that Aphelios needed, and Riot said as much in the 10.4 patch notes when they showed his secondary weapon and adjusted his ult's visibility.
> Aphelios is the galaxy brain marksman whose kit has a billion things you have to learn, but he's stressing out opponents who can't understand what he's doing and seems to be lacking adequate counter play at higher ranked games. Better clarity will lead to a drop in Aphelios' performance since opponents will more frequently make correct decisions, but we also threw some raw nerfs with a focus on making sure opponents have successful ways to catch him and beat him up.
"REPAWST"
/facepalm
It's pronounced "Re-post". Source: I'm a fencer.
edit: Some people have been saying that's the British or French pronounciation. Neither is true.
If you listen to it, he's pronouncing it almost like "Re-pahst", where in British English it's "re-POLL-st", and in French it's "HREE-post". I've heard both Britsh and French version of it before... neither of which sounds like him.
The guy who voiced Aku died in 2006, the show ended in 2004. The creator, Genndy Tartakovsky, is still alive and apparently working on a movie to finish the story.
