Not sure how you got Dutch but guy on Left is Ragnar Nathanaelsson an Icelandic Basketball player and former teammate of Hafthor. Other guy appears to be Egill Jónasson just a really tall Icelandic guy
All 3 men are Icelandic and I know why everyone was scared of the Vikings.
Man... if John Oliver or the Daily Show picked this up (not saying that he would) it would be over for Hillary. On second thought I'm emailing them this link.
Edit: I urge you all to email this story to John Oliver or the Daily Show or post it on there facebook pages. Make so he'd have to at least see it. Expose Hillary for who she is. JOHN OLIVER'S CONTACT INFORMATION:
Edit 2: As well as the emailing Last Week Tonight the SEC Filing, give them the link to Luke Montgomery's linkedin (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/luke-montgomery/b5/433/bb4) where he talks about how her campaign hired her and that shows he runs this pro Hilary pac (http://billforfirstlady2016.com/).
The car is a 2003 BMW 325Cl. That's a 13 year old car worth maybe $6k-$8k. Just because it's a BMW doesn't mean it's a nice car.
EDIT: This hit SNOPES back in March. The more you think about this story, the more it doesn't add up.
EDIT #2: Found her linkedin profile, says she was a personal banker back from 2007-2008. If this is accurate, and she's not been in banking for almost 8 years - then it sounds like she may not have had clarity when she was under medical treatment.
Note - a personal banker is a step up from a teller, but it's not really what we think of when we hear "banker". This is the person who sits at a desk and helps you sign up for all the accounts/credit-cards a bank wants you to have.

Maybe I'm just confused, is this a different vapewild or is it not the same person who formed both companies?

Wow cool, he was a customer 3 years before it was founded in 2002. What a loyal customer.
Other interesting things he did
Currently self-employed at comma.ai. Not sure what he's doing there.
he doesn't work for google, they didn't renew his contract. He went to vicarious, and finally comma.ai
totally agree, also check this article which i came across on linkedin My First 90 Days: Please Don't Strive to Be the Office 'Golden Child'
Nice catch.
Wait - turns out the inventor of that patent is actually the guy on the MaxxBench video: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/james-lennox/ba/994/863
So it looks like they are just trying to make this look like a new idea, rather than something that was invented in the 90s and never took off. Maybe due to cost: http://www.maxxbench.com/shop/
And for those that don't know Ars Technica and Reddit are owned by the same company - Conde Naste/Advanced Publications. So you have an employee from one company reporting on the CEO of her sister-company. That's one hell of a conflict of interest.
Oh, what do you know. That conflict's not disclosed in the article. (edit2) THAT IS INCORRECT! Thanks to /u/phenami. Squeezed literally in the middle of the 27th paragraph of the article, there is a disclosure that indeed verifies Advanced Publication is the parent company of both Reddit and Ars Technica. I can't believe I somehow missed it along with seemingly everybody else. Shocker. Journalistic integrity restored!

Even though I'm not the best writer, I could write endlessly about the industry and want to help drive discussion around a lot of the recent changes which we are facing in League of Legends esports. Dig into the comment section to see some of the discussion going on!
What's happening in league is having a rippling effect across the industry in different games, but the piece choses to focus primarily on it.

PSA: NEVER...EVER... USE USB DRIVES YOU GET FROM A TRADE SHOW OR CONFERENCE. It's a well known conduit to install malware on your computer.
I have personally had a USB drive that had some very nasty malware on it. I picked it up from a trade show and scanned it in an isolated environment just to see what I could find. Picked up five drives from different booths, one was infected. When I contacted that company's security department, it turned out they had the drives made, logo printed on the casing, at some cheap mail order place and the drives came infected from there. They couldn't tell me if the infection happened there or upstream in the supply chain.

I'm surprised the story didn't mention his linkedin profile, which is one of the more detailed ones I've seen:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/craigswright
Count me skeptical, though. This guy seems to be trying way too hard to make it look like he's Satoshi. Leaked documents to reporters. Edited blog posts - with more suggestive evidence added after the fact. It seems like the work of a conman to be blunt.
Then there's the whole "Top 15 supercomputer" bragging. Who cares, even if it is true?
Satoshi could provide the best evidence for his identity by signing a message with the key pair that received payment from the genesis block. All the other stuff cited in the article can be forged.
Also, I've found no evidence that Tulips "kill grass." Quite the opposite, it seems:
http://forums2.gardenweb.com/discussions/1378430/removing-stray-tulips-from-lawn
This could mean a few things.
Point one and two are equally likely. He's probably realised the mistake and took it down, been pestered (please, don't do that) to the point of doing it or Bethesda/his employer have told him to since it's likely a breach of his NDA. For this however, he probably won't face any major repercussions as it was honest oversight and he amended it. Nothing was directly leaked as anyone can claim to work there, but his past work on Bethesda games and with the major players in the industry gives it some credit. (Unless someone here is actually informed on such NDA breaches and wants to chime in what could happen?)
Point three is unlikely as he's an industry professional and would be damaging to his reputation. You can see his connections and recommendations on his LinkedIn page.
Why do none of you mention the FEC filing when trying to rebut this?
How do you explain the FEC filing for the deport racism website that has Montgomery's name all over it? You can't just forge an FEC filing into the government. Plus Montgomery's not exactly hiding himself well. Here's his linkedin (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/luke-montgomery/b5/433/bb4) that shows he runs this PAC and website (http://billforfirstlady2016.com/), not to mention you know his signature and name is all over the FEC filing.
These are the two guys the article is referring to.

Lots of good stuff, M3D. I really hope that Nintendo was opening the gates for feedback.
I would say players should keep being vocal, but they need to make sure they are very clear.
As a designer, my best kind of feedback is sitting with a knowledgeable person who understands the goal of the project and really wants to help. I try to latch onto players like that because they are hard to come by.
But when showing the game to the public, I usually respond to the most frequent and most clear opinions. Sakurai and his design team will not have time to scour the internet and look through all the reactions on smash. Therefore as a community, it is best to be succinct and clear with any issues.
Try to avoid vague words like fun, floaty, tight, clean, etc. And back up with what you are complaining about with a why.
For example:
"The hitstun is too low and the characters feel too floaty."
Should be:
"I find it difficult to combo right now BECAUSE the hitstun feels too short at low percents and characters are flying away too far due to their slow falling speeds."
This is a direct problem because you are prevented from doing something that you want to do. Saying things like the controls are bad, or the characters are floaty end up being throw away comments to designers most times :(
SIDE NOTE: Voice your own goddamn opinion! Regurgitating what other people are saying is not going to help the game. Watch video, go to best buy, read about all the systems from the pros and form your OWN opinion.
Thanks for posting this. I want to apologise in advance for the the terrible writing. I'm not a great writer in general and rushed this out a bit between family events, so couldn't get someone to proof read.

Um yea, because people were repeating the statement which originally came directly from the EPA itself by site coordinator Paul Peronard. A statement so fucking mindblowingly stupid I can hardly believe someone with a chem E degree would say such an idiotic thing, and would rather suspect that the statement could more likely be the result of misattribution or misquoting by a clueless 'journalist' eager to get their story to print.
someone posted his linkedin and i took a look. i'm no hiring specialist, but what concerns me is he spent so much time working towards the chiropractice (haha new word)/medical and suddenly dropped off and worked for an ink sales company? i understand that things happen but there's usually some kind of transition phase. working at UPS and other odd jobs while schooling makes plenty of sense. but 3 bachelors' in sociology, life sciences, and... english? and then dr of chiropractic? i also get having a wide range of interests, but usually there's some kind of theme at least. strikes me that he's approx 40ish and still hasn't decided what he wants to do when he grows up. while that's not necessarily a bad thing, it might help him in the job-finding department if he stuck with one field.
also under 'chiro asst' he listed detox & superfoods. can he even get a superserious job with those words on his resume? =/

Since it doesn't look like anyone in the comments has given you the answer yet, it's because back then gaming journalists were more about journalism than gaming. There has been a shift towards more authentic delivery of gaming news via YouTube/Twitch displays of gameplay, which often brings up your very question.
For the above video, the person playing the game was probably Joe Fielder. He was the editor at Gamespot and wrote the article about his experience with the demo in 2001, which you can find here. At the time of writing of that preview, he had a BA in Creative Writing and about 3 years experience in gaming journalism. He was by no means a professional gamer by the present day definition. Despite that, check out his LinkedIn for a list of everything he has been involved in, and his future projects. He has come a long way from staring three glitched out aliens in the face.

To me, the most hilarious thing will be watching this evolve over the next five years or so.
As Uber gets rid of taxi competition and faces pressures to actually make a profit, the fares will go up and up and the amount paid to drivers will steadily decrease. Eventually we'll get to a steady-state of gouging where the maximum price tolerance of customers is established. I would predict Uber prices to end up quite a bit higher than regulated taxi prices, especially in any sort of crunch situation like every morning and evening rush hour, every evening "night on the town" times, and every rain or snowfall.
And wait until people realize that Uber can charge you INDIVIDUALLY. Uber notices that you are willing to pay surge pricing at any time between 8AM and 9AM, because you need to get to work? Guess what, surge pricing is now always on... for you only. THAT'S what the venture capitalists are investing in Uber for - the potential to extract the most money possible from each individual customer according to their relative wealth and relative dependence on Uber.
The amount of whining about Uber price-gouging is going to be outrageous. But this joke will take some time to play out. Have to take the long view here. Wait for it.
EDIT: several commenters don't understand or don't believe in individualized pricing. Uber can already do it, just by declaring one passenger to be in "surge" pricing and another not. No one outside Uber knows what constitutes a surge, so... Uber customers are conditioned to accept it. This is the future of business (not just Uber), like it or not. It's just going to be extra-funny for Uber as people rely so heavily on local transportation.
I went digging around for dirt on this group because anyone who claims to be non-partisan usually isn't. As it turns out, no union or corporate connections. The person running it in fact has a lot of experience working with nonpartisan organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the UNHCR .

There definitely needs to be something that starts the tagging. Some character that allows you to distinguish between a person that you want to tag, and a word you just want to type, simply by prefixing the word with that character. It would have to be a character that people don't ordinarily type with, or only occasionally use.
I wonder if some other form of social media has figured this out? Surely someone else has settled on a character that might be used to tag people with?
I wonder what that symbol should be?

Hey guys. The Escapist thought checking people's faces with LinkedIn accounts was good enough to verify identity.
I am now a former artist for CIG. AMA?
If you want more proof, I can ~~make~~ find some paystubs, and tomorrow I can show you my ID card. Also, I just so happen to have a W2 with ~~a completely made up tax id~~ CIG's information
Edit: Regardless of what I post below this, the point is that only CIG, CIG's employees, and the IRS can really know who has or hasn't worked for CIG. I can give the benefit of the doubt to a named individual, but I don't trust games journalists presenting anonymous sources. Social engineering is too easy if just a few people collude. The IRS won't give the information, and they can't break the sources trust by verifying with CIG.
I'm not saying that The Escapist's sources are "for certain" faking their links to CIG. I'm saying that The Escapist couldn't know they were real unless they provided information that could only come from CIG or had been in a SC video. If some of the sources were unverifiable, but still quoted in the article, that seriously raises some questions. Either the writer and EiC are stupid or they are unethical. I don't know which is worse.
This is insane and a clear example of closed room handshakes. Aside from the fact that $657,000 is way too much to be paid for any government job, this guy has been effectively retired since 2007, after which point he started a (now defunct) arts organization that never went anywhere, and then pursued a career as a fine art photographer.
I personally wouldn’t be putting somebody that out of the game for almost 10 years in charge of something this important.
His LinkedIn in case you're curious
The NST looks like a tabloid-y paper. I am doubtful that the article writer actually went to school four years to put out an entertainment column like that.
edit: looks like he has a MA in Jourrnalism. My bad.
Funhaus (the guys in the video, they have their own channel where they do funny shit, and post news videos on this channel) have actually talked about the whole "inside source" thing being a hardly reliable source of information, and the typical requirement for at least two sources, on one of their most recent podcasts (this one, not sure what time specifically however). Which leads me to believe that this is most likely a very reliable source.
These guys actually have backgrounds in real (well, cable) television, so while I'm not saying I trust this story as absolute fact, I do think there's some merit to their words as opposed to just some random no-name youtube channel trying to generate views.

TL;DR - The NYT article's journalistic integrity is under serious scrutiny. Not as bad as it was written out to be, and plus, replace Amazon with any other big name tech company, and you'll almost have the same story.
He was apparently in a crosswalk in the French Quarter late night/early morning of NYE, and was struck by a car, dragged, and left for dead several miles away. The driver has not been found.
From statements in several articles, he sounded like a very generous, kind-hearted person. It's terrible to see something like this happen to a guy like that.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he was the Director of Customer Strategy since March.
Change from the top, and also with peers. And remember, I'm not saying it's right, but we can't bury our heads in the sand and pretend this does not happen.
I've been on many teams as the lone-woman, and worked hard to prove myself. Then we hire another woman who says they can put in the hours/time. Soon though they're leaving early to pick up the kid, or suddenly can't do that weekend upgrade project, or travel to the important client meeting. This does two things.. the team as a whole resents this (including myself), as this now adds MORE hours/work we all have to do now. This also enforces the incorrect belief that women just don't work as hard. Suddenly I start getting snide comments like "When are you going to have kids and drop your responsibility?" Ultimately, it's hard to push for bigger projects when the perception is there that I'm just going to pop-out kids and slack off or quit.
One thing that is really hurting women (and men with families) is the current craze of working insane hours; or the "Work hard, play hard" mentality. Corporations have cleverly built up this mentality that the "heroes" of the team are the ones willing to work insane hours, and not have a life. If you've got a family, this just results in weary/stressed men working these insane hours to support their families but never getting to see them; and perpetuates a false sense that women "aren't reliable". Read more about this here

Perfect example of why you never take the counter offer your employer gives you when you tell them you plan on leaving. LinkedIn has a great article that says taking a counter offer is career suicide.

http://www.forbes.com/2008/06/28/counter-offer-employer-lead-careers-cx_hr_0630counteroffer.html
It is a terrible idea in the vast majority of cases (rare exceptions of course). This case is a prime example of when you DECLINE the counter-offer... if you are SHOCKED by a counter-offer, there are enough moving pieces you don't grasp that you need to leave ASAP.
You are already branded 'disloyal', 'one foot out the door' so likelihood of promotion is next to nil. You now cost more than they wanted to pay you, so they are probably looking to replace you as soon as possible. You burned the bridge with a new company... which already extended you an offer... which will never consider you again... yada... yada.
Heck, depending on how tight nit your industry is -- even being known as someone who accepted a counter-offer can be detrimental to your career.
Judging him on his personality implies the OP actually knows something about him. He's judging him based on the reputation of his former employer but curiously not on the reputations of Nissan and Toyota, where he worked before.
One more bit of bullshit discovered by a commenter on the article - he didn't study engineering. His degree is in Management Information Systems, which is offered by the school of business at Penn State.
That's not a STEM major, it's a business major.

Yes, but according to this guy, they found long-ago employee interviews and acted as though they represent the company Amazon is today (apparently working at Amazon a few years ago was not so great, but it has improved greatly).
I worked for Amazon until recently (I quit 2 weeks ago to pursue independent software development). I worked there for 4 years. It was fine. My team was great, the people were great, we got a lot of work done. There was a lot of free beer and pizza.

(And forget speaking English in a Norwegian job; that is only possible in Irish bars, and there may be a total of 6 in the whole of Norway.)
> Not completely sure where that originated from but, he isn't actually a Rent-a-CEO.
> Kirk Mcmaster is one of the co-founders of Cyanogen Inc. and he took the position of CEO while the other co-founder (Steve Kondik) took the position of CTO.
He had no real involvement in Cyanogen before being brought in as the CEO when the company was founded, and has a history of spending short stretches of time in management positions at various small companies.
That's the definition of a "rent-a-CEO".
Let me preface by saying that I'm not trying to make any point by posting this. I came across it while doing research about the EELV program last night and thought it was mildly interesting.
These are [FOIA](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_Information_Act_(United_States\)) requests submitted to the Department of Defense by Christopher Cardaci, SpaceX's senior counsel. The rest of the FOIA request log for FY15 can be read here.

CEO LinkdIn - https://www.linkedin.com/pub/vishaal-melwani/14/1a6/b47
CEO Twitter - https://twitter.com/vishaalmelwani
Journalists these days. According to his Linkedin, he was an "Analyst M&A Advisory" and "Credit Quantitative Modeling" at Goldman. Far from "Director", if you ask me.
He definitely thinks he has "Native or bilingual proficiency." Pretty sure he grew up in a Spanish-speaking household in the US, so he by all means should be bilingual. We don't see many poor speakers get the exposure that SoFlo does because the nature of his beast is that he's not producing the content that makes him popular. I feel like he's not a stupid guy (though pretty dumb), he's just very poor with his words. A little gold tidbit from the Lewis Spears video : >"maybe there were some videos, before, that on Facebook, we were just taking because there is no monetization on Facebook, you know? So, technically, there is no money that you could lawsuit it for."

While it isn't much, a quick Google search for "Riot Games G4" brought up these.

Both claim to be Riot eSports employees that worked for G4.
I notice that this blog post is largely a funnel for a landing page to drive people to your consulting services. In particular:
> After 8 years of struggling, I now work a lot less, make 5-10x more per hour, and I work with clients I love. I'm now sharing how you can do this too.
Over the past five years I turned a freelance web dev career into a 15 person consulting firm that does about $2MM/yr. Because of that I can plainly see that your claims don't really pass the sniff test. Your company's LinkedIn page tells me that you're self-employed. E.g., you essentially own a job (rather than a business), because you don't have staff to do the actual billable work.
A professional services firm absolutely requires staff to be able to scale. Here is an awesome article that summarizes why. This message is also drilled home in much greater detail in the bible of PS management: "Managing the Professional Service Firm."
Even a moderately successful web dev can command at least $60/hr. There's no way in hell you're getting $300-600/hr on a consistent basis. I make much more than that all day, every day... but it's only because I have a full-time staff of nine engineers, each billing out at $120-180/hr.
You're overstating your success in an attempt to make money advising others. I consider that dishonest.
>I understand you may have worked for S2. I said may because without proof I cannot take your word for it.
Fair enough. https://www.linkedin.com/in/JNighthawk
>And regardless of your first-person testimonial of being laid off
Did you read my post? I haven't worked for S2 since May, after I quit.
>Until there is an official statement it is all heresay. I don't care if how business works gets me downvoted however if this thread gets out of hand I'll delete the post until an official statement is posted.
Again, here's where it makes no sense. Do you think it just didn't happen if S2 never responds officially? I feel like you've posted many naive things for "knowing how business works."
>I'm sure there is some NDA things involved as well so if you are Deejay you might want to be careful.
I know what contracts I've signed better than you and it's pretty presumptuous of you to assume otherwise. Nothing I've said is confidential or privileged information. I heard people were laid off, and people that were laid off told me they were laid off.
I'm not trying to stir controversy or anything. I visited this sub after seeing a Strife ad on Twitch (which looked awesome), saw this thread with people asking for sources, and figured I'd confirm it. I still hope Strife does well, and I hope my friends find new jobs.
The best place for this is the LinkedIn group.
The guy has a pretty sweet linkedin profile as well:
https://www.linkedin.com/pub/ambassador-dr-badal-kariye/23/666/a69
Can't wait 'till 2016 when hopefully he will be the next Secretary General of the UN.
Even better, he's pretty illiterate. His LinkedIn profile (https://www.linkedin.com/in/antoniolievano) has comedy errors like "Avetiser" and using the present tense instead of the past. I'm pretty fucking sure that if Twitter knew and cared about SoFlo, they would force him to remove his affiliation with them. Seriously, what the fuck shitcunt
I think this article linked in the posted article does a better job of succinctly explaining the program and its problems.
Yeah, these massive companies have massive codebase which require massive staff count to develop and maintain too.
YNAB only has 21 employees on LinkedIn. https://www.linkedin.com/company/you-need-a-budget
And YNAB is not even comparable to 1/1000 of Excel in terms of complexity.

See, the problem is that searching for actual information on Cherry is useless. Google leads back to the same couple of articles. Westlaw has exactly one mention of him in a case, and it is simply citing one of those same articles. None of those articles mention his education or experience. It is circular.
In contrast, when I google Abraham Waranowitz, I get this: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/abraham-waranowitz/90/745/844
That is normal when you are dealing with an expert in the field. Michael Cherry's experience as an IT developer tells me nothing about why he would be able to opine about historical cell site data. He smells like a hired gun from 100 miles and if CG had put him on the stand he'd have ripped to shreds.
If you take into account that this is place where staff is required 24/7, then this is a really good ratio. Just for comparison I looked up a major hospital near me, and according to their LinkedIn page, they have 835 beds and 9,700 employees.
I was certain that this was just a made-up persona to troll, since I couldn't imagine someone like this in real life, but apparently the person complaining seems to be Suso Baleato, a "Political Science Technologist", some sort of government drone. I'll be darned.
>The opinions expressed in this article are not necessarily the opinions of the staff or management of 614now.com but of the individual author.
Wayne (the author) is literally the president and CEO of the (614) Media Group.
As someone who used to work for him, I could also tell you that he's a tremendous turd, but that's an entirely different discussion. He probably cares more about the clicks and everyone bickering about what he wrote than the actual opinion put forth.
Good. MCPON West was a crooked motherfucker when he started that shit.
Don't believe me? Rick West retired and, 2 months later, went on to become VP of Herdt Consulting, Inc. Herdt, coincidentally, was the consulting firm the Navy awarded the ERB Transition Assistance contract to.
Fuck that guy.
EDIT: Also note that there is no description of what he did while at Herdt on his LinkedIn profile. I wonder why.

He's got another article up today, regarding Schumacher's performance at the 1994 Spanish Grand Prix (where he was stuck in 5th gear for 2/3rds of the race).
There's also this one about a legal alternative to traction control.
That's the aim, the ISPs want to become like cable / dth operators and charge you for each website you visit.
Facebook wants to offer you free access to their and their friends channel to get you addicted to their version of the internet.
Read this: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/internet-splinternet-facebooks-new-internetorg-just-evil-murthy
And then /u/project_twenty5oh1 replied with this (still no reply from VW)
Perhaps you can explain why both your companies were registered by one Eric Turner of Plano, Texas?

Perhaps he's your accountant working for both companies? But wait, here's his Linkedin page saying he's the CEO of Wolfpack wholesale.

Maybe I'm just confused, is this a different vapewild or is it not the same person who formed both companies?

Googling Scott Brian Cooper, (the actor who jumped into bed with her around the start of the article), finds very delusional facebook and linkedin profiles https://www.facebook.com/visioncOOp/info, https://www.linkedin.com/in/visioncoop
Working for the Rothschild group, a marine, dea agent, SEC officer. Something tells me this source of info isn't quite up to scratch, espicially since he seems completely obsessed with Lisette Linn. He posts numerous videos revolving around her in adoration under his 'young american royalty' brand (seems to be a clothing line designed for heirs and heiresses): https://www.youtube.com/user/yarHDTV.
There's definitely more here than meets the eye, then again maybe everyone in hollywood is just a freaking nutjob.
EDIT: Wow, I copy pasted this comment to the article, which Rolling Stone deleted. What the freaking hell??
Really? Pretty sure this is his linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/derekchen14
The only thing it says is that he took a coursera course. Far cry from calling himself a black belt. He even says that he's not an engineer.
> Facebook's top school to hire from, worldwide is this dank-memes-sedra-smith-ayy-lmao-eng-is-so-ez-good-shit-sign-me-the-fuck-up fucking Waterloo University.
Not true. A bit of an over exaggeration. I worked there. The top school is Stanford.
If you search LinkedIn for FB employees from UW there are 214 (source). If you search for FB employees from Stanford there are 510 (source). Obviously this doesn't represent the full number of employees from both schools but it gives a general idea.
