>I understand you may have worked for S2. I said may because without proof I cannot take your word for it.
Fair enough. https://www.linkedin.com/in/JNighthawk
>And regardless of your first-person testimonial of being laid off
Did you read my post? I haven't worked for S2 since May, after I quit.
>Until there is an official statement it is all heresay. I don't care if how business works gets me downvoted however if this thread gets out of hand I'll delete the post until an official statement is posted.
Again, here's where it makes no sense. Do you think it just didn't happen if S2 never responds officially? I feel like you've posted many naive things for "knowing how business works."
>I'm sure there is some NDA things involved as well so if you are Deejay you might want to be careful.
I know what contracts I've signed better than you and it's pretty presumptuous of you to assume otherwise. Nothing I've said is confidential or privileged information. I heard people were laid off, and people that were laid off told me they were laid off.
I'm not trying to stir controversy or anything. I visited this sub after seeing a Strife ad on Twitch (which looked awesome), saw this thread with people asking for sources, and figured I'd confirm it. I still hope Strife does well, and I hope my friends find new jobs.
I still play Strife because it's different from other moba games. I do not enjoy matches in Dota, LoL or any other games - that's why I still play this game. In my opinion, it also has better community. And I don't actually think that Strife is dying. Just look at the Steam graphs here. And that's just Steam! Some players still play through the original launcher.
No it doesn't. That only monitors the steam users. Even if is not the complete count you can clearly see the descending trend (And that's not including the starting month where steam users were a LOT).

Ok... real quick update for everyone...
This is a version of my UI that can be placed into your game folder.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/8u76az
This version is "working" with the latest patch (where they have half my UI in the main game)
The things that are buggy from what I can see (item hover tips) are buggy again, I suggest going to config and setting it to "onclick".
There's something wrong with opening the "menu" that's normally above the minimap... not sure whats going on it with.
I will work on a real UI this week, I honestly didn't plan for S2 to take such interest in my specUI, but now that they have, I will create a much more professional one for them to use and the only thing that should be required on their end will be to increase the cam distance for spectators. I'll try to get it done before next weekend, for people to start testing, but I'm sure it will be another week or 2 after that until S2 can get it into the base game.
Anyway, thanks for all the support from everyone as well as from S2 and I'll get you guys something much cleaner looking (code wise too) shortly :)
Sorry about that, I had given a working resource file to a few random people when the last update had arrived and for some reason mod manager wasn't working for me. It should me up on mod manager now
http://mods.strifehub.com/viewMod.php?modName=GhostSpecUI
and if that doesn't work here's a resource file.

Let me know if any issues.

Lua is very easy to learn language

also panorama (UI engine) is almost html.
but. what you want to port from strife to dota?
map, items, pets, bosses, xp/gold share system - everything is not so hard.
main problem is find good artist for 3d models/textures/practicles...
F me sideways.
I just found out Strife was a thing today and I was really excited to try it as I am the target market. A MOBA wanna be player who doesn't mesh with the more hard core MOBA's.

Then to see this? The game is worse off then the F2P FPS "Loudout" damblit!
I actually just got done reporting this bug, as well as how to fix it. (Involves modifying game files)
It's an issue having to do with timestamps being reported and handled differently than previous versions of the game. My patch will show you all your new(since the patch) games in the correct order and will show you the older games but will not sort them.
I put this out there for people that trully think they can't wait until it's fixed in the next patch.

Install:
Place this inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Strife\game
You'll see other resource files there if your in the correct spot.
I run through the same problem before .. and this is how i passed it → Hotspot Shield
Same as OP and other people said, I used a VPN service to get rid of this racist bullshit. CyberGhost VPN (legit, free, can recommend) to register, then turn it off, log in and download. Easy Peasy, but WHY ON EARTH DO WE HAVE TO DO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE??? Also, Greets LV & LT :)
