A quick 30 second explanation of what Soylent is:
Most people start with food and then decide which foods one should eat. Soylent started the other way- their founder made a list of all the substances an adult human body needs to operate, and put that in a shake. The result is a drink that's nutritionally complete- that means 2000 calories of Soylent contains everything your body needs to be healthy, including carbs, lipids, protein, micronutrients, etc etc.
What you've got is Soylent 2.0- the latest version of Soylent that comes in pre-mixed bottles. Each bottle has 400 calories, so it's about the same as a single meal. Most people seem to like the taste- I drink the stuff every day and couldn't be happier.
The way most people seem to use them is to replace meals of necessity- meals where you have no particular reason to eat (not going to a special restaurant, not meeting friends, etc) but are still hungry. This is how I use Soylent- if I'm craving some food or another I go eat that food, but if I'm just generically hungry and have nothing else going on, I grab a Soylent. This is both cheaper than most food options and better nutritionally.
Hopefully you like it! If you like it you can order more from Soylent's website or it's also an Amazon Subscribe & Save product. It's about $3/bottle, which (compared to a fast food or deli meal) is pretty competitive.
He was apparently in a crosswalk in the French Quarter late night/early morning of NYE, and was struck by a car, dragged, and left for dead several miles away. The driver has not been found.
From statements in several articles, he sounded like a very generous, kind-hearted person. It's terrible to see something like this happen to a guy like that.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he was the Director of Customer Strategy since March.

First off, sorry about this! As most of the people mentioned this is an error at the distribution center. Seems like fed ex used one of our boxes to store the cables and then just decided to tape up the box and ship it anyway... Very strange. Please e-mail about this issue :-)
This is definitely in second place on our list of weirdest deliveries. Right behind red high heels.
I got a bidet. Changed my life, no exaggeration. Wipe first for the big stuff, then use bidet fully, then wipe again one time to get the water off. My toilet paper usage is way down, and my butthole is never agitated and sore.
I also take soluble fiber pills to make it be normal coming out. It's no big deal to me like it is to you. Taking 3-6 of them a day is way easier than trying to incorporate some traditional food into my diet. The fact that it's soluble is fine. There is a definite difference in the solidness due to the fiber pills.
Edit: added a link to the bidet I got.
Add a bidet to your toilet for a sparkly clean arse. Also, avocado and flax seed as mentioned by others seems like a good idea.
Amazon link to the 23-cup Snapware container. It holds about 5 bags of Soylent. I just cut the bags below the zipper and dump them in.
I don't use a whole bag per day so it lasts me nearly 2 weeks without any change in taste, smell, or digestion-related side effects.
No, it started selling in the USA through Amazon.
Not quite the same, but for what it’s worth, these exist
If you have a compatible shaker bottle, it will attach to the bottom
I just did the math on this recently as a woman who would be drinking 1200-1500 calories of Soylent a day. I would recommend using Cronometer to check your specific nutrient levels and how Soylent 2.0 would meet those nutrient levels.
For me with using Cronometer, I found out that I would be low in iron and a few other nutrients that women need more of, so I am adding in a prenatal vitamin, as well as a source of Omega-3 and ground flaxseeds (fiber and ALA).
One other thing - today only (7/13) the Cacao and Strawberry bottles are on sale for $25 at Amazon (this is a ~$10 discount) if you are a Prime member. I'll be trying Strawberry for the first time.
Finally get to try out most of the RTD Soylent flavors without having to drop $40 on a Cafe sampler box! Thank you for offering this Soylent!
However, I wish they would have included a bottle of Original flavor and charged $12.50. None of the stores nearby sell Soylent, ~~and my only other option would be to buy a whole case of it. I really don't want be stuck with a ton of drink I hate.~~
I wonder why Soylent doesn't release a complete sample kit? One bottle each of Original, Cacao, Cafe flavors, and a single serving sleeve of Original and Cacao powder? They could charge $39 to keep it in line with non-sub case pricing. It seems like it would cut down on customers seeking a refund, and make it easier for new users to find a product / flavor they love. Maybe they'll do something like that when 1.9 Original powder is released?
EDIT: If anyone else is new to Soylent and looking to try ALL of the Soylent RTD flavors, I discovered that Amazon (Prime members only!) has the Original flavor bottle available to sample for $4. Make sure you select the sample option on the right so you don't pay almost $10!
You get the $4 back on Amazon as a credit to put towards Soylent in a future purchase (180 days to use, includes Soylent powder and a few other cold drinks.) So the 4 bottle sample pack from Soylent and the Amazon Original sample add up to $14 for 5 bottles (Avg. $2.80 a bottle and FREE if you use the credits on both stores.) Cheaper per-bottle than buying it by the case and you get to sample every flavor if you're new to Soylent like myself.
hey did somebody call me =)
The 5ml of oil specified gets you up above 2g of omega 3. If keto chow is your only source of food then it's probably a good idea to do the full 5ml/5 pills. If you're eating other stuff that has omega 3s in it then it's probably not as vital.
Also, looks like the stuff you are taking has a higher Omega 3 then the Kirkland one I'm using. I would recommend cloning the recipe and put the figures for your pills in, you probably only need 1 or 2 of those ones.
The site comes up as red on Web Of Trust, and on top of that there's a great deal of FUD being pushed here for possibly self-serving goals. More on the discourse thread.
yup! that's the only way to be healthy.
you can message them here https://www.messenger.com/t/CFIACanada
they read the messaged and my friend got a response from them a bullshit one but nonetheless. maybe if we all keep bugging them something will happen.
Interesting question. From WebMD, a lengthy article. It appears that EPA and DHA are if not essential for life, at least beneficial.
Anyone on a vegan diet (and many meal replacements are vegan) has this problem: where to get EPA and DHA. According to this article you can get all the ALA you need from a tablespoon of chia seeds or a handful of walnuts (this maybe explains the popularity of chia in DIY recipes?) but it goes on to admit,
> The trouble is that people vary dramatically in their ability to convert ALA to DHA and EPA. So the only way to be sure your body is taking in sufficient amounts of these latter two nutrients is to supplement.
The fat source in Soylent Drink is "high oleic sunflower oil" and canola oil.
Your post caught my eye so I checked out Ample as I hadn't heard of it before.
The answer to your question as to whether or not you should be "fine" drinking it M-F ad infinitum is answered in the Q+A at the bottom of the product description page. The most direct quote and evidence is this by Christine Brynn, who seems to be their PR person,
"Hi Anthony! Ample wasn't designed to be consumed for every single meal, so we wouldn't recommend 100% Ample for more than 2-3 weeks at a time without at least taking a multivitamin/mineral supplement. Other things to consider are that our meals are quite high in fiber, and it may be more comfortable for your gut to ramp up the fiber intake gradually. :)"
Here's a link to all of her comment replies there: https://disqus.com/by/christineAMPLE/
Here's a link to the page with the discussion at the bottom: https://www.amplemeal.com/products/ample
It seems like it would be a great product, in theory, but this just falls into the same boat as every other meal replacement which posits that it is nutritionally complete ... but simply isn't. (including Soylent, FWIW, as there's far more to a healthy, balanced diet than simply what's in Soylent). There is no single 100% "nutritionally complete" meal replacement product in existence. There is quite simply too little known about exactly what we all need eat to truly be healthy to say that any one meal replacement product is complete.
FWIW, Ample is powder in bottles. They don't sell it in bulk. It is more expensive than Soylent.
You'll be better off buying Soylent powder in bulk and partitioning out the powder with a scooper into blender bottles for each day, or something like that. A Magic Bullet or such type of blender will help mix things up if you worry about the grainy texture without the powder being pre-mixed.
Good luck. I don't think Ample is worth it.
I was just able to successfully place an order for Nectar from Prime Pantry. Trying to add to my cart gave an out of stock error. Trying to buy as a normal Amazon order also didn't work. Trying to buy via bumping up my Subscribe and Save date gave an error too. However, clicking Buy Now through Prime Pantry for whatever reason did work. My card ~~hasn't been authorized yet~~ edit: has, but the Amazon order dashboard claims the order is partly already preparing for shipment. I'm not 100% positive this will go through but worth a shot for the dedicated Nectar fans.
Price per case was $31.37 shipped each buying 10.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAXDTO2/
Edit 9/5: 7 more cases added to Prime Pantry that weren't there yesterday
There's currently a promotion on amazon: buy a case of Original get a $10 off coupon for Cacao. And also: buy a case of Cacao, get $10 off a case of Strawberry. It applies to your account automatically when you check out. You have to use the credit at a later date though. Expires in February. The person above probably already had one in their account from a previous recent purchase. Details here if you scroll down the page where it says special offers.
So there is still more research to be done, but it seems to promote "bad" bacterial growth & inflammation in the gut: https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Crohn's-Disease-Associated-Adherent-Invasive-coli-Nickerson-McDonald/b488e04645e60e77cbd11effc4f34d85f7449b62?tab=abstract https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Deregulation-of-intestinal-anti-microbial-defense-Nickerson-Chanin/b0693a2d15e817ccb3507ef7e15ebc8ff17337b3?tab=abstract
Trigger warning!
But for real-zys, there's a personal blender on amazon I use for single meals too. Perfect for soylent on a budget, its less than $15 prime!
Hamilton Beach 51101BA Personal Blender with Travel Lid, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KVZ27UA/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_m37pvb1EV34KY
I've gotten the recommendation in the past of switching to glass pitchers instead to avoid the "sticks to the inside of the plastic pitcher" issue.
The Soylent pitcher is just a rebranded Takeya 2L pitcher you can get off Amazon if you want it faster, FWIW.
Two new flavors of 2.0 on Amazon.
That's an entirely fair point and I'm not out to spread FUD or trash on Soylent. In particular I'm curious because a while back several protein powders came under fire for both having far less actual protein content per scoop than advertised but also for having higher than recommended daily exposure levels of several heavy metals. Depending on the brand and how much protein powder a recipe calls for this may or may not be a potential hazard for everyday use. See:
and the comments here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/comments/148e3q/industry_insider_breaks_down_heavy_metal_safety/
Obviously there will always be a need to balance risks of exposure to potential hazards but it would be nice to have some actual science and data when trying to asses those risks. I figured if anyone had this information at hand it would be the people here.
If, as has been suggested below, some reputable sources are producing products it would be nice to know so that people could use these products rather than potentially more hazardous ones.
The web page for the flavdrops says it contains stevia. Then when you click on the ingredients tab, it says it contains sucralose.
I just use this. It's cheap and easily available at any local grocery store. Yeah it has sucralose.
Well I love everything but the switch to methylcobalamin. There are concerns that the methyl form alone is not sufficient to prevent B12 deficiency, and also, the methyl form easily breaks down in the presence of heat and is therefore less shelf stable than the cyano form.
Also, for anyone wondering, it's from Page 16 (on the digital edition) of Issue 27 of the New 52 Batman (2011-).
It's also collected in the trade, "Zero Year: Dark City".
Their recent blog post indicated that the RTD has a GI of 18 which is quite low. You can calculate the GL and that gives a values of 6.5 per bottle which is low as well.
Sounds like you are doing really well.
I've been using Mint for years to track my spending. My wife and I have a bad habit of eating out a lot, so Soylent has saved me a lot of $$ since switching over to it.
30% is going to be a good deal, and worth getting a case to try if you haven't.

I bought a total of 20 cases, and stacked a subscribe and save 5% discount, and 1% after with Honey Gold. All and all it leveled to about $1.86 a bottle give or take.
Amazon lightning deals with a Amazon Prime credit card are the best price ($1.70 ish) a bottle I have seen reasonably without hassle.

That's not official, the resellers mark it up substantially. That pouch only costs $9 (assuming no discounts), but a subscription would be closer to $7.71 per pouch.
KetoSoy is the only product I know of who sells their powder officially through Amazon.
Go here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EUEIL3E/
Click the Subscribe Now button, fill out all the info then "confirm subscription", this adds one box on the interval you selected. Hit back a few times to get back to the product page and repeat at least 4 more times to get 5 subscriptions into your queue and it'll take off the 15%. Then just wait for your ship date to roll around.
You can add more, skip a few, skip entire months, whatever you want and as long as you have 5 at a time on a single month you'll get 15%.
Amazon store card will get you an addition 5% off in a statement credit.
As quinn said you can add each BOX as a subscription item. Here are some directions I wrote on another thread for someone that was having issues:

Maxwell House and Folgers both have coffee concentrates which I've been adding to Soylent for quite a long time. (Way cheaper at my grocery store than Amazon...)
You were probably looking at listings from unauthorized resellers, which is a common mistake because Amazon does fuck-all to clarify if you're looking at the real listing or not.
You're better off bookmarking the correct page since Amazon makes it so difficult to find: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EUEIL3E/
Any other 2.0 listing you might find is an unauthorized reseller, and at the current time any listing for any Soylent product other than 2.0 is also unauthorized. They did have bars officially listed for a while, and I think they're working on Coffiest. Also, if the page doesn't say "Amazon Launchpad", you're definitely in the wrong place.
The base Amazon price and the base website price are always identical. The Soylent website offers a 5% discount for subscriptions; Amazon offers a base 5% discount for subscriptions but it rises to 15% if you have 5 or more Subscribe & Save items shipped to you in your monthly shipment. You can do this with 5 boxes of 2.0, but you have to do 5 individual subscriptions; it won't count if you do 1 subscription with a quantity of 5.
You can get the same 15% discount on the Soylent website with the 5% subscription discount + 10% coupon discount; there are permanent 10% coupon codes and occasional larger coupon codes, but they only apply to the first shipment of the subscription so you have to constantly cancel and re-subscribe. Amazon is a lot simpler, plus a lot of people have credit cards that give cash back on Amazon purchases.
It's $174.43 per box on amazon if you're in Canada.
> Soylent Ready to Drink Bottle (12 Bottles) > > by Soylent > > Price: CDN$ 174.43
I'll just continue to order it off of their website. I just got 1box of Nectar and 1 of Cacao for ~$102 CAD.
Savory version?? I've been wanting this since the kickstarter.
I think you're missing a huge market by not going savory. Currently I've dropped soylent for this (amazon pacific lentil soup) and am pretty happy. I'd love to have a more complete meal though.
> My whole life I've never eaten a single fruit or vegetable
Wow, that's.. sad. No offense intended. Fruits are just delicious to me. Hell, it's better than most candy. Hard to imagine how it would be not liking fruit. Growing up I could eat a truck load of apples, oranges, pears, peaches, strawberries, etc. And I did!
No fruit are tasty to you?
Have you seen this new sample pack on Amazon? $6 for 3. Cacao, Cafe Vanilla (150mg caffeine), Cafe Coffiest (150mg caffeine).
My bad, I made a mistake. I meant 100 grams of SuperBodyKetoFuel.
I buy Coconut cream on Amazon, it is like thicker Coconut milk.
Personally, I do not taste the olive oil taste once mixed.
If I were to try it, I would buy caffeine pills and mix that it. Looks like you can get the equivalent of 2 cups of coffee from one capsule for about 5 cents on Amazon
That is correct. They are selling Saturo in the USA through Amazon.
Takeya 2 Quart Pitcher. It came free on your first order of powder.
You'd pour an entire bag in with water and that was an entire days worth of food.
You can still buy it... but only on Amazon. Not on the Soylent site.
I eat 1255 calories of hol food, and 260 cals of protrin powder, spread it out over 4 meals a day. I usually blend it together with my protein and keep them in shaker bottles in my fridge. I just like the smoother feel.
If I'm gonna be out all day, I use this blender bottle: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00IOO31EG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_6rfOBb3B5QCA5
I can squeeze 2 servings in the bottle itself, then pack 1 serving into the containers for later. So I can eat 3/4 daily meals on the go. I hate using bags because the powder just gets all messy.
If they wont tell me what product they are using, then I really dont put too much into what they are saying. Many people consider ensure to be in the same level as soylent. That would make perfect sense for the hyperglycemia and antisocial behavior.
For clarity, the post is based in the link in a comment (might want to add it to the post)
>This article tells something about the problem with not chewing food: http://www.zdnet.com/article/soylent-the-food-replacement-product-could-have-an-unhealthy-downside/
http://alibaba.com possibly.
What you're looking for will probably have a minimum order of 100-500.
Here's one but I'll let you navigate the ~8,000 results for "Henley".
Chrome Privacy error "Your Connection is not private" NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
I found this, that might be helpful: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/31605394/neterr-cert-common-name-invalid-after-update-to-chrome-44
Adding the protein powder works extremely well, go for it!
Looking at the "Nutrient Information" on the Jamieson you're getting 27mg of EPA and 30 mg of DHA in each pill - you would need nearly 10 pills to equal the EPA and DHA of a Costco "one per day" (410 and 274mg respectively) and since I'm recommending 2 of the Costco ones per day you would need to take 20 a day. At that consumption you're getting into dangerous levels of fat soluble Vitamins A and D.
Bodybuilding companies already do single serving packets of all sorts of things, think like the crystalight you add to a bottle of water. For flavoring you're going to need a decent amount so one of those little plastic tubes will probably work perfectly.
The supplements could be packaged in keurig style coffee pod sized cups (or even creamer sized cups), flavoring for a day's worth might fit in a coffee pod sized cup too with 1 meal's fitting in a coffee creamer sized one.
Or even these sealable condiment cups for stuff that isn't light sensitive (some nootropics) http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=condiment+cup+sealable
Something to consider /u/Malharhak
You can't really change that recipe much to bring down anything unless you want to impact every other nutrient that supplement contained.
The calculator works fine for recipe creation, but I prefer cronometer.com as you can enter your own nutritional data for certain items, can create recipes, and you have access to any recipe anyone else creates.
Well I'm not sure I should really be responding to you when I wrote an earnest post and you decided to swear your face off at me, but since you answered so passionately, clearly you care deeply. I'm no fitness genius, so I just use Runkeeper to plot my trip with GPS plus a heart rate monitor, and it sends my calorie burn over to MyFitnessPal. I just trust what it comes up with, since I have no basis for argument. If you go to http://www.myfitnesspal.com/exercise/lookup and lookup "Bicycling, 12-14 mph, moderate", plug in my weight of 240lbs on a 80-minute bike ride, and it actually estimates a higher calorie burn than what Runkeeper gives me. I actually do two 80-minute rides - a total of 160 minutes - per day now. But, you know, if you personally know more about fitness calorie burns than the folks at both Runkeeper and MyFitnessPal, well, I guess feel free to swear your face off at me.
It was about $23 for two 1lb bags. When I posted that it was showing ~$40 for two 1lb bags.
FYI - http://camelcamelcamel.com/ is great for amazon pricing history, I always check it before making a purchase. But sometimes it is wrong — they miss some price changes, but because the graph always shows a contiguous line it appears like they have a complete history.
I wouldn't trust the recipe tagging either way. I never would have considered that choline bitartrate could be industrially refined from animal sources and I bet most other people wouldn't either.
Oil supplement potency is described in terms of DHA and EPA content. The recommended Keto Chow capsules have 250mg of DHA/EPA. The first algae oil result I got from Amazon has 500 mg per capsule for example.
Cronometer is like MyFitnessPal or LoseIt but with a lot more detail and including vitamins and minerals. Soylent 2.0 is already in the food log, so it would be very simple for you to add it and see if there is anything you're concerned about. But generally speaking, I wouldn't expect that there's much you need to supplement, if at all. If you're obsessive like me (I also have medical concerns that I try to address with nutrition as much as possible, although not the same ones as you), I'd suggest some omega-3 and Vitamin D just out of general "we don't really get enough of it" advice (I take algae oil and 2500IU D3 and it's really inexpensive/easy to add into a daily routine), but that's really not necessary. The only other thing I could think of is that you may find that you need to add more fiber but that varies for each person and I would wait to see how your digestive system adjusts to the soylent diet first.
This is actually a perfect example it seems.
To the OP /u/TeamHuel, like it or not Soylent is likely to be the same way. Right now it's sort of weird in conversations, but it's mostly those who already talk a bit about this. ie. Sometimes I need to clarify when I'm speaking about soylent (the company), or soylent (the idea of powdered food). No real harm in saying "powdered food" yourself though, seriously, do it.
In the *nix community there's something called distributions, which Soylent (the powdered food) is starting to remind me of with all the varieties popping up. The exception is that they sort of have their own very similar (but modified) kernel. This is good in some ways, but I wonder if we're going to end up with a history of 800+ distributions (250 active). Why did I say *nix there? Well, I could just say linux - but it would be wrong and I'd probably be castrated. Sure happy Soylent doesn't castrate me.
I did the math. According to this, they've reduced the value of reward points by 80%. The fact that they didn't even announce this is just the cherry on top.
To a point Honey (Honey Science Corporation), already does this. It is free browser extension and the droplist feature can email a user of any price change on Amazon.
I keep several thing in my Amazon save for later basket and Honey price checks them. So far it has worked great and buying through the provided links gives them a kick back so its win win.
Poll results so far https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-ST9T3M3/
There are comment and video reviews scattered everywhere at this point. Still not a lot of people have it so I'm not sure you'll get much from a post like this.
super protein, super electrolytes, super micros, super fiber, MCT oil, and oat powder
Will be bland AF
I'm in the same boat. I want to lose body fat %. I've started adding more protein (Soylent by itself is too little in my opinion for someone working out) and I've started adding more Fiber (Soylent by itself is too little in my opinion) adding these two things changed everything. I'm no longer fatigued nor bloated.
I was doing cardio 6 days a week, lost 11lbs but wasn't feeling slimmer in regard to fat. Tomorrow I'll be doing weight lifting, but making sure while doing it, my heartbeat stays above 130 by jumping rope and rowing whenever it drops while lifting. I use an apple watch to monitor heart beat.
Start counting your macros properly. Carbs, Protein & Fat. Soylent makes this really easy to do without having to weigh food. Don't forget your cheat meal once a week that will reset your metabolism and fat burning hormones. Think of it as a little hack that lets your body know you still eat like shit and should still burn fat (even though that's not true). But eat cheat meals strategically. Double up on your macros. I stay away from fried food even on cheat meals. I just eat a lot more and more fun stuff. Like a delicious steak, vegetables, mashed potatoes, some red wine, even a little dessert. Pizza, Pasta, Burgers are all great cheat meals.
I suggest finding out what you should be taking in for your age using the soylent nutrition calorie: https://diy.soylent.com/nutrient-profiles/calculator
and doing exactly that. Don't try to get smart and do less than the recommend calories you should have hehe. Do it exactly. If you're taking in Soylent to get 2000 a day, when you add more protein (Again find out what you should be taking with some kind of calculator) you'll add more calories to that, and same with fiber.
For protein I just use unflavored whey protein from amazon, and for fiber I use this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000QYBMUC/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1435229302&sr=1&keywords=fiber+supplement
Hope this all helps.
Also since you are a new subscriber, if you want to get a 15% discount check out the Subscribe and Save option from Amazon. Ordering at least 5 boxes will get you 15% off and you can always change your qty (minimum 5 at a time for 15%), cancel or push off months at-will.
https://www.amazon.com/Soylent-Ready-Drink-Food-Bottles/dp/B01EUEIL3E/
I don't think they will be having a site for Canada from the looks of it but I've never ordered from there. I think what they will do is just have you order as usual but the shipping will be free instead of the really high costs when ordering from their US warehouse.
However, I stumbled across 100%Food on amazon.ca and thought it was a distributor. They were selling in 28 bottle sets though and had quite a few options which were pretty cheap if you consider what they sell for on their site. So I gave the seller a message and turns out it's the actual company setting up a shop on amazon.
From Amazon - 28 bottles cost 141.31 CAD Free Shipping.
From http://www.100percentfood.com/home/ - 21 bottles cost 94.90 USD (4.53 a bottle) so 28 would = 126.6 USD.
126.6 USD = 166.6 CAD so you get a cheaper price for bulk. Normally you'd have to spend $30-40 USD for shipping so it was never an option before. Still a bit pricey for us in Canada but I might end up giving it a try. 28 bottles would last about 9.5 days so about $423 a month. Soylent is about $60 a week / 240 a month for 1.6 and $127 a week / 511 a month for 2.0. So the convenience of being in a bottle and more expensive ingredients is why the product costs a premium for being powder.
Here's the link - https://www.amazon.ca/100%25FOOD-2000-Diet-Bottles-Chocolate/dp/B017PNAK8Q/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1469642595&sr=8-5&keywords=soylent
This is the response I got.
"We’re not a distributor. This is an official shop we set up for selling 100%FOOD in Canada. We ship first pallets this week to our warehouse in Mississauga, ON and plan to support sales all the time.
Until we test the demand - the flavoured versions will not be offered, but after a couple of months we plan to expand the assortment available for Canada.

Is the official sold and shipped by Amazon that is also available for Subscribe and Save, it's currently unavailable but does that now and again, has never messed with my monthly shipment though.
> Or get the one that you put in the tank of your toilet
The chemicals in those will eat away the plastic and rubber components in the tank. Kaboom makes a scrub-free system that drains directly into the bowl so it won't damage the rest of your toilet. Their official refills are expensive, but you can find generic refills on amazon for cheaper, although they are a little more chemically smelling.
If you get the base powder and mix it with protein powder from Amazon, the price per week drops significantly.
https://store.ketochow.xyz/keto-chow-2-0-base-powder-1-week/
Price per day is much lower, can order 8 weeks of base powder for 2/3 of the shipping cost versus the normal powder. Doing it this way also lets you control your protein macro, and gives you more flavour options. There's a huge list on that Amazon page.
Schmilk was the first 'lent I really loved. I use it when I have time to mix, and Soylent Drink when I'm on the run. For Schmilk, I used a "torpedo" cup I got on Amazon that works great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H8OC4LY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Eliminates the clumps. A little expensive, but worth it.
Amazon. I have also used Ovega-3 softgels and punctured them so I could squeeze the oil into my smoothies, depends on which is cheaper at the time.

I added a tub of 1.9 to my order to get free shipping early Friday morning. It still claims it's arriving Wednesday, but it also says it hasn't shipped yet. The Amazon page itself now says:
>Item Under Review
>This item is currently unavailable because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)
>We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
Exactly why I mentioned at a reasonable price. If you look at the top comment, we are in agreement that it's just too expensive compared to your pouches.
I hope that pouches are sold on Amazon comparable to your site pricing someday.
Amazon has a $5.99 sample box that has 3 different flavors, Cacao, Cafe Vanilla and Cafe Coffiest. Cheapest way to try them out without committing to an entire box.
If you have a subscription with Amazon Prime, there is a deal going on right now with a big discount for Soylent Strawberry cases: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071S3KLMM/ref=s9_acsd_bw_wf_a_dlpc0f0a_cdl_0?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=EBE79651JB4FFZWXM7KY&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=0&pf_rd_i=283155
I got the one from Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C75KP8I/ and there are probably other sources. Looks like Amazon dropped the price by just shy of 20% since I bought it. One thread here mentioned a 2-pack of pitchers at Costco that includes the fruit infuser and tea infuser. And yes, it looks like only one option for it as a product on Amazon at least.
I originally noticed the threading on the inside of the lid and wanted to see whether there were accessories like a shaker basket (I have a single-serving shaker cup from Thermos that has a shaker mixer basket and it's so much better than the shaker cups with mixer balls for me) and found tea infusers and the fruit infuser. The latter seemed to have potential, so I nabbed it and it ended up working out well.
Huh. I can't find “Kirkland Signature Complete Nutrition Shake” on the Costco site. Is it still in production by them? However here it is on amazon, from third party sellers only. Viewing the ingredients panel I observe that the first ingredients are,
So we are off to a bad start there, heavy on sugars and I see over 50% calories from carbs, of which most are sugars. Each 8oz carton is only 230kcal, yet provides 25% and up of the RDA of most micros, so if you tried to live on it you'd be overdosing on vitamins and getting the majority of your calories from sugar. IMO this stuff makes Ensure look good.
Price-wise you'd need to consume 8 of the packs per day to approach 2000kcal, or 4 days per 32-pack order. The cheaper of the two third-party sellers wants $40 so you could get your minimal calories for about $10/day (plus shipping). You could live on Milk Fuel for lower per diem cost and be much, much better nourished.
I'd recommend substituting some (or all) of your Potassium Citrate with Dipotassium Phosphate. It will taste better, and provide phosphorus. Here's some on Amazon.
Just saw Soylent Gingerbread is 50% off at amazon too. And it showed me a $4 off coupon, so $19.99 total.
These quart-sized wide-mouth canning jars are handy for all kinds of stuff, including individual meals of soylent. Should be available at your local super-sized walmart if you don't want to pay shipping.
Soylent's blandness tends to smother most vanilla flavoring so that you can barely taste it. French vanilla, which is more of a caramel flavor has worked better for me, but my favorite brand was discontinued.
For fruity flavoring I highly recommend strawberry orange banana powder from walmart. Their Peach, cherry, mango and regular strawberry flavors are pretty good too.
Other things I like:
Instant coffee (the cheapest store brand I can find)
Matcha green tea powder
Cinnamon
By the way, it was an immersion (stick) blender that I was referring to in the comment. Here is one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Ovente-Immersion-Multipurpose-HS560R-HS560R-Red/dp/B079MJ68Y9/ref=sr_1_3?crid=BQHO544JHJAX&keywords=stick%2Bblender&s=home-garden&sprefix=stick%2Bblender%2Cgarden%2C140&sr=1-3&th=1

An immersion blender, especially with a whisk attachment, is very effective with any powdered meal replacement, and also easy to clean and store. I've had several years use out of this one but there are less expensive ones too.
I've been doing a mix of Soylent and Pea protein powder for a while for high protein, which also makes it more filling. I do 100g Soylent Cacao Powder + 60g Pea Protein Powder + 1 liter of water three times per day (although I often separate them in halves, because it's a decent amount to drink). So that's 300g Soylent and 180g pea protein powder per day.
Cost comes out to about $7.66/day, which isn't too bad.
Math:
Soylent is $55 for 7 bags that are 450g. So 55 / 7 / 450 * 300 = $5.24
Pea protein powder (on my last order, using subscribe and save) was $42.70 for 3175g, so 42.70 / 3175 * 180 = 2.42.
I use a little blender cup with the electric little attachment for protein shakes, not the one with the little metal whisk balls. I have a couple and they've done me very well.
(link: https://www.amazon.com/VOLTRX-Premium-Electric-Protein-Shaker/dp/B07QW4QR67 )
If you wash it right after drinking it's EXTREMELY easy to clean, if it gets left out for some hours it'll take some more.
Any wide mason jar spout also seems to fit too (I could be wrong) btw.
It's pretty straightforward to do otherwise but if you're looking for a routine, and enjoy the added convenience/routine, that's what I do. Blends it much better too. I never need to let it sit in the fridge or anything before drinking.
You can add sweetness several ways, for example monkfruit powder. It and pure sucralose are about 400x as sweet as sugar, so a very very small quantity will sweeten a shake.
That probably explains why they are running a 50% off sale in the US on Amazon for Mark 6 RTD. Haven’t checked the powders
Huel makes these flavor boosts that are pretty good: https://huel.com/products/natural-flavour-boosts
I also like adding PB2 (powdered peanut butter) https://smile.amazon.com/PB2-Original-Powdered-Peanut-Butter/dp/B07SXBL1GF/
These are the powders I am talking about.
They are showing $2 online, but they are about $1.50 in my local store.
I was curious: looks like in the USA and India you can get Turk deposited to your bank account in local currency, but everywhere else it's just giftcard, like you said.
If you’re okay with a 3/18/22 expiration, creamy chocolate’s down to $26.24. link
Cafe Chai is available on Amazon Warehouse for $29.62. Produce expiration date is 8/12/22 https://us.amazon.com/Soylent-Replacement-Drink-Bottles-Packaging/dp/B071Z3HQL6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=URGJUL64INZP&keywords=soylent&m=A2L77EE7U53NWQ&qid=1642993628&s=warehouse-deals&sprefix=soy%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-1
Mango is one of my favorite Plenny flavors. Here are some ideas
https://www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/features/lose-weight-eat-breakfast
Do not skip breakfast. Even if it's just a granola bar, or some Soylent, do not skip breakfast, if you actually want to loose that weight.
How has the hormone therapy affected your hunger levels pre Soylent? You seem to have a pretty awesome timeline of things; 6 months since HT, and 2 months of Soylent, so I think it's fine taking your word on at least what could be causing some weirdness if things have taken a shift in the past two months. Obvious question: any other lifestyle changes (eg: exercise)?
It's also worth noting sodium intake, which the majority of folks who go 100% will supplement with to alleviate, among other things, headaches.
Although Sucralose and Soy get a bad rap, it's very possible you have an intolerance to soy that could be increasing your allergen response levels. Something that has come up before is a case of oral allergy syndrome that could have also been related.
Obviously at the end of the day it's still food, so by all means if the cheese is giving you an upset stomach, lay off the cheese. Or find a [different cheese](/r/soylent/wiki/distributors).
One option would be to mix your own Soylent using protein powder that has been tested for heavy metals and masa instead of oat flour (which contains phytic acid).
There's nothing magical about Soylent except for convenience. You can have a similar diet by eating:
(chicken + some high omega-3 fat) OR salmon + some complex carbohydrate food + micronutrients
For situations like this, privacy.com is awesome. You can setup a card with so many specific limits, so like in OP’s case just set the limit to exactly how much a subscription costs per month. Worst case scenario, delete the card.
If anyone wants to sign up I’ve got a referral link. If you use it you get $5 free and I get $5 too.
Does this variety 12 pack for $49 not work?
The non-variety options are usually cheaper though. Just make sure you differentiate between the 14oz bottles and the 11 oz bottles.
Just about to make my 3rd order tonight, very happy with the product, it's made me a better functioning human.

Jakub, for future versions of the Vegan Mana, have you considered altering the oil formula?
Right now, it's just canola oil. Due to my concerns over Erucic acid level, I mix it with flaxseed oil & supplement with a microalgae DHA pill.
Maybe something like this ( http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Algae-DHA-Powder_1240333387.html?s=p ) - it's a powder, stable at room temperature and has a lower rate of contaminants than fish oil.
Hi, not that it is an answer to your question, but I would like to nuance the price of Powder Matter.
- You can order a minimum of 2 bags (24 meals) with shipping costs of 5€, making a meal price 1.80€, (I convert it to 1.60 pounds)
- At 4 bags shipping is free (48 meals) making the meal price 1.50€ (1.34 pounds)
- At max bulk discount 13 bags (156 meals) it costs 1.20€ (1.07 pounds)

It is possible that conversion charges by banks might apply)
One of the side-effects of marijuana is that it makes you hungry ('the munchies'). Chemotherapy often diminishes your appetite, so patients sometimes use medical marijuana to induce an appetite so that they can eat properly and maintain their weight. For someone like you, a teenager with a medical condition (ADHD) who is still growing, the case could be made that you should should be eating enough so that your growth isn't stunted.
You'll have to do your own research on how to obtain it through legal means but it appears that VA allows for possession of marijuana if it's prescribed as medicine, but they don't have a medical marijuana system in place currently http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+18.2-251.1
edit: http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Drug_policy_of_Virginia#/Medical_use from this link it appears that while they may allow for the possibility of medical marijuana, in practice they never authorize it.
So firstly, nutrition is not fully understood like physics. Digestion is a very complex process and there is no definitive list of what you need in food. Soylent lacks variety, which might be important for healthy eating and especially as a growing teenager. Secondly, the lack of chewing can actually lead to jaw problems (gum could help). Thirdly, food is a very social thing. You can read more online various places, I thought this was a good summary Risk of Soylent.
