I pushed this lost Android app to it through Google Play for most of my remote access shenanigans and was able to set a lock screen with a message and 6 digit pin. The phone hasn't registered as being used by Android Device Manager since a couple days after I did that.

So I looked this bad boy up on Google, and the ladies on this site don't seem to be praising her. More like ripping her a new one... "that's why you're a girlfriend, not a wife", "that's so wrong", "get a vibrator". There's almost nothing there to suggest women are praising this sort of behavior.

Seems awfully sleazy. I wouldn't object if they made an account that made it obvious they're affiliated with the site and made neutral titles not pretending to be actual users, but the way they are pretending to be real members of the community pisses me off.

Looking over this site a bit more, it seems appallingly bad. They claim to be a site where experts debate controversial topics, which sounds like a great idea, but every story I can see is just sensationalized tabloid material appealing to some biased audience. The difference is that by claiming to present Opposing Views, they can appeal to both biased conservatives and biased liberals. Even the stories that aren't just appealing to some political minority and are decently written have no debate in sight, just one article written by one person. Then they share their stories on parts of the Internet where they'll get exposure, posing as members of the community. Truly bizarre.

EDIT: Apparently, this is what the site started out as. It looks nothing like that now in either content or design. How did such an interesting site turn into a tabloid? Weird.

A few years ago nearing Christmas (circa 2013), there was a post on /r/pics how the OP caught his 16 year old neighbor stealing his packages. If you're in a congested area, you might need to change channels to get better signal. Since you have Android, grab Wifi Analyzer and check how many other networks are around and on the same channel as yours. If there's more than 1 with signal rivaling yours, try to change to a channel that has NO overlap with other APs. If there's just too many to do that, try buying your own wireless router and use 5GHz instead of 2.4GHz. The range is a bit lower because of poorer wall penetration, but if 2.4GHz is crowded, it will resolve your issues.

That's of course assuming that the problem only happens over WiFi. In any case, you'll still probably be better off with 5GHz since you're getting that kind of signal in the same room as the AP.

As a meat eater I think everyone who also eats meat should at least make the effort to learn how their food is prepared. Maybe you'll see something you don't like, maybe it'll be hard to watch. But people these days like seeing the meat in a nice vacuum sealed package and delude themselves into what went into making it. Personally I've seen the videos on how Pigs, Chickens and Cows are slaughtered and prepped for food. I've also been with people as they cleaned and gutted wild game in preparation for eating. Most people are shocked when they see how it's done, mostly because they've never really thought about how their food is made. As far as the empathy goes, as many people who DO work in animal husbandry can tell you, never get emotionally attached to the animals you raise. To be fair your second point might not be the HOSPITAL'S fault but specifically that healthcare worker's fault. Every healthcare worker is trained in isolation protocol and she is probably the one that broke protocol. I was talking about this with one of my patients today who is a former isolation nurse and taught infection control to other nurses. Being familiar with isolation protocols in hospitals, her theory is they probably double gown and the nurse broke protocol at some point, probably when she was de-gowning.

Edit: According to this article, they do seem to think she may have contaminated herself while she was removing her personal protective equipment. For anyone not familiar with the protocol for properly removing isolation equipment, it has to be removed in a certain order and disposed of without ever touching any part that came in contact with the patient or their belongs.
