2018 Oct 1-10 were in the 80s
2017 stayed mid 70s-80s through the 14th
Going back to 2006, it didn't happen. Occasional 80s and one or two 90s, but not a long stretch like this.
It's the way things are now.
Yikes. Always make sure your hot water heater and furnace are properly vented to outside, and remember that a $25 device can save your life. For maximum peace of mind, place a carbon monoxide detector in the main living area and in each bedroom.
If the complex or the police don't do anything, I highly recommend this:
(Takes a 9 volt battery, not included)
Especially if the dog is loud.
I bought it, and while it can't detect the dog downstairs (smaller dog, quieter bark) it does react to me tapping it lightly to generate the high pitched noise.
I taught the downstairs dog it's not allowed to bark while I'm home anymore in about 2 days, probably half an hour total time spent.

Wayne (the author) is literally the president and CEO of the (614) Media Group.
As someone who used to work for him, I could also tell you that he's a tremendous turd, but that's an entirely different discussion. He probably cares more about the clicks and everyone bickering about what he wrote than the actual opinion put forth.

You can install an app called PulsePoint to your phone. It's primary purpose is to alert CPR certified individuals to nearby situations where they can help, but it also shows current and past runs for CFD. Google Play link, Apple Store link. I am certified and have been notified twice through the app, but EMS was already on scene both times I went to help.
Get on nextdoor.com. I'm sure you'll find the complainer there. If you don't, it's still a valuable tool to learn about missing pets, speeders in the neighborhood, and which neighbors are closet racists.
I work downtownish and use the Waze app all the time. One time I needed to get to the airport during rush hour and it sent me on backstreets - Leonard Ave to 5th to Stelzer. Leonard parallels 670 and I was driving along fine when I looked over and saw 670 at a standstill to my left. Thank you, Waze.

I’m not sure that’s true.

Edit: to be clear what I’m saying is that even in the 40s and 50s it was pretty typical to have a couple 80 degree days in October. Not that the average isn’t 60F

My spouse and I are in OutLook magazine this month, so I just wanted to drop by to thank Columbus for being a hell of a town to be queer in! We plan on sticking around and gaying the place up for a long time to come! <3
Sorry for the second blurry image quality! You can see a digital version of it right now (we’re page 37), or if you’re in the Columbus, OH-region, pick up a physical copy!
We're so proud to be Columbus-based queer creators.

You don't really need the anti-static mat/wristband, I've done plenty of computer work at home without one and never had any issues. Just don't wear a wool sweater or polyester track pants, and maybe wear some rubber-soled shoes. If you can manage to do your work on a table on a hardwood or tile floor instead of carpet, even better. Touch your sink faucet before working on it to ground out any static.
Same with the compressed air, it's nice to clean out the ports and dust the interior of the case while you have it open, but not necessary.
The only thing you really need is the screwdrivers. You can pick up a set of precision screwdrivers pretty cheap (here's a kit I found on Amazon for $7 or just a #0 Phillips screwdriver for $4 incl. shipping)
Of course, if you want peace of mind and don't mind spending more money to get it, you can take it to a shop, but simple part-swaps on laptops aren't really that difficult.
I've been getting these too. I use Sync.Me. When someone calls, it opens a popup that also shows if other people reported it as spam. You have an option to block the number from the popup. Every time the number calls again, it'll auto block it. There's probably other apps that do this, I just like sync.me because it auto updates your contact pictures with social media accounts.
You can download the COTA schedule or use the Transit app, its supposed to give you live bus tracking and I've found it to be pretty accurate. Bus times can be a real crapshoot in general though.

This might help. From a quick google search I'd say the pay is purely commission. Places like this are basically avon but with life insurance instead of cosmetics.
Here is the article, with map, the Columbus Dispatch ran the week of the first annual Columbus Bank One Marathon in 1980. It funnily includes what many people would probably flip out over today, a complete first and last name with city of residence listing of every runner.
If you're genuinely interested, it's because "Ancient Egyptian" is a really popular theme for Art Deco. The Lincoln Theatre on long street has the same decor.

They sell something called Riddex. You plug it in to an outlet and it’s supposed to keep bugs away. I bought one because I had a similar issue and it worked for me a few years ago. They’re like 15 on Amazon. FWIW!
There is a product called RidX and that’s a chemical, that’s something else!

One of the heavily flooded areas, as mentioned, is the park at the end of West Oakland. To get around that specific part, I would recommend this detour.

>But I guess there's nothin stopping you from just saying it's a service dog.
Yup. They even sell service dog vests on Amazon. And business owners are not allowed to ask for "proof." This way, shitty people can misrepresent their dog so they can take it everywhere.
I recently bought the Zinus memory foam mattress (one of those mattress in a box deals) on Amazon and I've loved it the last month or so. They are insanely cheap compared to the bigger brands. An idea if you want to skip the air mattress and buy a reasonably priced permanent option.

Why am I posting this: I'm a senior veterinary student and I love cat behavior. I think one of the best things vets can do for their clients is help them better understand their pets. I posted about cat behavior on another subreddit a while back and a lot of people were interested. This is a great chance to learn more!

Waze Live Map - Zoom in to the city, you can see where all the cops are reported as being active. Right now, 70/270 on the west edge of town shows heavy police enforcement activity. 270, near Georgesville Rd on the SW corner of town, 270 south of Easton on the NE corner, just north of there on 270 around 161, SR 104 between Lockbourne and Groveport Rds, US 33 in Marysville, I-70 out west between SR56 and SR38 (London-ish area), and I-70 at SR54 (South Vienna), and these are just the ones I scrolled around and found within a few minutes.

I got into birding in 2017 after a bout of depression. It was fantastic and lifted my mood! I got some field and stream binoculars and picked up this book. It has real life pictures rather than drawings so was a lot of fun to flip through and find birds I was seeing. It's got a 4.8/5 stars out of 350 reviews so that should tell you it's great! https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316213934/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_8PYPQHSSNRT4RA475NZQ
I always have the best luck at this little spot in Hilliard. It's right off Mudsock trail by the dog park. There's a creek, pond, and tons of trees. I've seen a lot of cool birds there. Scioto Grove in Grove City had an indigo bunting that I was pumped about one year. A lot of people recommend Glacier Ridge. I see a lot of Eastern Towhees and swallows there.
We just got an email about that as well. Fortunately it seems to be voluntary still - like that children's offered to accept some older patients to help with overflow at other nearby hospitals.
I completely agree that it is going to get much worse, VERY quickly if we become full.
Also, here's a link to the pulse ox I bought. I agree that this is a very helpful monitoring tool if you have COVID and a important measurement to help know when to go to the hospital.
Weather fronts are fun
https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-blogs/weathermatrix/why-is-the-weather-going-backwards/50996
>> The answer is surprisingly simple. Yes, in general, weather systems move west to east in the United States (and east to west in the Tropics - remember hurricanes?) But on the smaller scale, storms can come from any direction because low pressure systems rotate like a top
>
>What's happening this week is that we have an upper-level low pressure system over the Carolinas (I've explained before why upper-level lows generate showers due to instability, so I won't rehash that here).
But they explain with line item detail the myriad ways they have contrived to separate you from your money in an illegal way! How can you stay mad at that? /s

Wifi at a bar with a password that they give out to patrons is NOT a "secure connection". If you want to tell your client that it's secure, that's one thing, but don't believe it yourself.
You need a VPN if this is a common occurrence, they're not expensive. Private Internet Access is like $40 a year.
The Pirates will be blacked out on other providers as well..
If you're a family of 5, and make $115,000/year, then you would be eligible for a $542 per month premium tax credit, according to https://www.healthcare.gov/see-plans/#/aptc
And $250/month doesn't turn into $1250, because premiums stop increasing after 3 people are on the plan. Whether you have 3 people in your family, or 10, you'd pay the same price.
So if you can't afford $250 x 3 = $750 - 542 = $208 per month for healthcare on a $115,000 a year salary, then you really, really need to plan your finances better.
I'm beginning to think you're not using Obamacare insurance.
We shall see. AT&T's price for $70/mo for 1Gbps in Atlanta & Nashville, but then $80/mo for 300Mbps in Chicago & Miami
Question is, what will TWC do to respond? I think that could help us on pricing at both companies.
And yeah - same Holly
I'll get downvoted to hell, but here it goes.
For me, personally:
That said, there are some good qualities to some of the above. This is just my personal take after living in a handful of places around the world. It's not bad, but it's not great. I don't entirely hate it, just a few parts.
Overall I think if the weather was less volatile, it would make a huge difference in my opinion. The winters are colder than Reykjavik, and summers hotter than Mexico City. It's absurd. You don't really notice it until you leave and live somewhere else (outside the Midwest)

I'm not affiliated with this sublet, but there were tons of AirBnbs in greater Cbus for $40 a night or less, some offering weekly rates. Unless you really want the car-camping merit badge, why risk it?

Northwest side here, we had WOW from the time they were Americast. Probably had 2 outages in 20 years, then last January, before the pandemic, we started having outages almost every day that lasted between 5 minutes and 4 hours. Cable tv still worked, but no Internet. All support calls ended up in an offer to send a truck out for $45, despite the neighbors being out as well. Switched to Spectrum for the same cost, zero outages in almost a year with them and 4x the speed, plus connections to Private Internet Access have 1/4th the latency. Never could torrent over 1-2 mb with WOW, can hit 30mb on a good day with Spectrum and lots of seeders.

Goodale Park.. If you don't already have a hammock, consider one of these chairs. You don't need two trees, so it's easy to hang. Just throw a rope over a limb and relax away. I've fallen asleep in mine a few times.

I second Giant Eagle. I have a friend who works there and she loves it. I turned down a Floral Dept. mgmt position that was $10/ hour. The position is open in Hilliard, currently.
I also recommend Whole Foods (one on Sawmill) I've heard great things about working there.

I would probably just want to order one from ULINE or something. Just do some checking to make sure you're getting a food grade resin poly drum.
Edit: link I sent says not recommended for long term drinking water storage, I'll keep looking.
Edit 2: here's one from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Grade-Barrel-Washed-Perfect-Gallon/dp/B076R6S2VH
I don't know, but I am... Very familiar with the sentiment you're experiencing. I thought I could deal with the isolation from COVID, but now that we're looking at isolation from COVID and Winter, preventing me from basically wandering around outside after all the normal people go to sleep, it's just... I'm doing a lot of being inside staring at a screen.
Might I recommend checking out some nice modeling clay?
I just picked up a device (with software included) at Micro Center for $40 and it works great - just plays the tapes onto the computer and you make digital mpg movie files you can then share online or burn onto a DVD. Here it is on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/SIIG-JU-AV0012-S1-Video-Capture-Device/dp/B002F2T4UI
It seems like places charge a lot for the tape to DVD service and I'm discovering that it makes the most sense to divide up the home movies on my tapes into segments, and being able to share using Google Photos is great too, just texting the links to my family for them to check out. ** You do need to have a working VCR and computer to do it yourself like this...

If you don't want to pay the $10 for RadarScope I believe wX will do a similar job for free. It also has no ads and is open source. The only catch is it is a bit confusing if you don't know what you're doing.
Presumably, since you don't have a job that offers health insurance, and you don't attend college, your best price will be from the public healthcare exchanges, possibly via Medicaid.
I think this means she wants someone wanting a long, layered hairstyle whose hair is grey and they'd like it colored.
That's funny because ESPN is leading with THIS article which states that OSU won't be asked to host a Friday night game.
I'd say the Dispatch is probably closer to being right just for the fact that I'd hope Geno knows what he's talking about.

Privacy.com does just this. Create a virtual debit card and set the max amount that can be charged each month to your internet bill. If your ISP ever tries to charge you more, it will get declined and you'll be notified of the declined transaction.

It's mostly ozone ATM: the last two days were rated at Yellow (moderate) with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 67 today, down from 87 yesterday and expected to drop to 50 (good) after some rain tonight.
You can sign up for daily email alerts sent through a partnership between the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and the EPA (while that agency still exists) by signing up here. This will tell you what the overall AQI is as well as what the major pollutants are.

(Adding, fexofenadine means never having to say "achoo!")
Is it already determined who the artisanal growers would be though? Would the leadership of Ohio Rights Group profit from it? The Plain Dealer article quotes Pardee as saying that no money or financial benefits were exchanged, so I'm not sure how you are making that conclusion.
Ohio Rights Group also put out a press release which has more information. Apparently this agreement would allow an opportunity to grow for "hundreds" of Ohio cultivators.
>The Ohio Rights Group worked directly with RO to find ways of giving hundreds of Ohio’s best cultivators the opportunity and incentives to ply their trade as independent growers on selected sites. A number of owners have agreed to this plan in which these growers would have minority ownership and retain intellectual property rights to the strains they develop.

A lot of the "pronunciations" here have it with something including "en" for the second syllable, but I have always heard it (not a native) as "in".
Ole-in-tan-gee. The "ole-in" flows together (like the last name Olin) Maybe this seems like the same thing, but when I see "len" used as pronunciation I think of the band "Len" and how that is pronounced (for comparison think of the last name "Lin"). So it starts off like this, but less Scandinavian.
Around 2k, the cars aren't going to be all three. The sweet spot is at around 6k. I'd see if you can make it to 4k, just to get a more solid car. If you use common sense, CL isn't too bad. I bought a car through there a few months ago without any issues, and got a great deal.

Mine was from Amazon, but I’m sure you could find something similar at Walmart or an outdoor store!
Most of the mail carriers I talk to on a daily basis love the Reebok work shoes. They walk 14+ miles a day.
Amazon listing + reviews. Most of the reviews are high rated by actual letter carriers
And if you're only interested in the compressor, this thing has been great for me... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012WHBSO
I actually spent more money on a pancake compressor before I bought that because I wanted something that would get it done quicker/better and it was too much hassle for something I was going to be using mostly just to fill my tires. I was avoiding the cheap, portable compressors on Amazon because I figured everyone will make up excuses/love something they get for that cheap. Then I needed to have AAA come out to fill a tire one day because I was away from home and the AAA guy had one of those cheap, portable compressors and it worked quickly and perfectly. Ordered one on Amazon as soon as I got home.

Well if you must know, there are canned ham that disgusting, mostly Hormel canned ham, which tastes and smeels like it was brined in formaldahide. I however go for the Butterfield Farms canned ham:
https://www.amazon.com/Butterfield-Farms-Chunk-Cans-Pack/dp/B06XYR4SXZ
It's just as good as say Cumberland gap diced ham but I'm far FAR less tempted to just eat it cause I'm bored. And I don't have to put them in the fridge, which also helps in not snacking them.
Kinda, but there's a little more planning. If you find someone to ride with then you just talk with them directly via email about their schedule.
There's also a cool Android app a co-worker was telling me about. It shows a bunch of transit options for any given trip and even has real-time bus locations. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thetransitapp.droid&hl=en_US
I tried it out over lunch yesterday and the routing was good and even though I didn't ride them, the buses could be spotted in the area that they were shown on the map. It seems handy for being aware of transit options - but it didn't have any station-less options like bikes or scooters.
Those are a little pricey for everyday though anyway.
I use the Google Snapseed app to edit mobile photos -- in this pic, I upped 'Ambience', added 'HDR' and 'Drama' filters and de-saturated it some.

This is in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, but it's kinda on the route from DC. It looks like it was frozen in time in 1962, but is impeccably clean and well-maintained. Shouldn't be too far out of your way, but I don't think the timing will be right...

It just depends on how many days you have, and how strong of a rider you are. Again, I'm a huge fan of planning trips around not having to use a car to get out of town. You do waste about a full day doing that though, as interesting routes start about 40 miles out side of town. Here is link to a 5 day some friends and I did a few years back. Again, the emphasis was riding out from the city, and not driving out to the cooler part of the state. Still one of the better routes I've done.

You can take the trail out to West 5th, close the river, head northwest toward the Heritage Rail Trail (starts around 5462 center st 43026), and ride that out to Plain City. There's a nice farm market store in Plain City that sells meat, cheese, produce, and assorted bulk foods. Or you could go to Der Dutchman for lunch. There's a group that rides out there for doughnuts on Saturday or Sunday mornings and rides back.
Have spent many nights with AirBNB in many different cities and have had 99% good experiences and really staying in more unique locations.
I myself just started hosting, feel free to check it out: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/14843527
